Meta has just announced a new subscription service for its VR headsets called Meta Quest Plus, or Meta Quest+. It’s a monthly subscription that will give players new games to play every month. Meta Quest+ will set you back $7.99 per month, or $59.99 annually.
A new trailer for the subscription service has been released. Check it out:
Meta Quest+ works much like PlayStation Plus, where you’re given a selection of games every month to claim and add to your account. The games you claim will be accessible for as long as you maintain the subscription, which means that you won’t be able to play them if you do decide to unsubscribe to Meta Quest+. All of your formerly claimed games will be playable again once you resubscribe, however.
For July, Meta Quest+ will include “Pistol Whip,” a rhythm-action FPS game, and “Pixel Ripped 1995,” an arcade adventure title. Next month will feature the social VR sports title “Walkabout Mini Golf” and action shooter “MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE.”
Meta Quest+ is available for Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets, with forward compatibility for Quest 3. There’s also a promo deal currently running that will give you an introductory offer of $1 for the first month, with the promo ending this July 31. If you’re interested in trying out Pistol Whip and Pixel Ripped 1995 for just a buck, you’ll have less than a month to do so.
Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio have released some new details about the upcoming 3.0 expansion for Tower of Fantasy, including a new story trailer and a look at one of the new Simulacrum. Here’s everything we know about Tower of Fantasy Update 3.0 Domain 9 Sector update.
Tower of Fantasy Update 3.0 Domain 9 Sector Out is launching tomorrow, and while the team is still prepping to release the full changelog (which we’ll have up) they did provide us with some tidbits of information of what you can expect to see from this update.
Tower of Fantasy Update 3.0 Domain 9 Sector New Content:
From the press release:
Located within the Aida Spacetime Singularity of the Vera Grand Sea, on the surface, Domain 9 may not seem very different from the outside world. Yet due to space-time barriers, Domain 9 has been isolated from the rest of Vera for more than 100 years, earning it the name of the ‘Forgotten Realm’. Inside, its people have discovered a special site known as the Black Jade Ruins, and through years of study, they have developed sophisticated technology based on Timestamps. This Timestamp technology has become an integral part of its people’s resistance against their biggest threat yet, Grayspace Entities known as Darkness.
Domain 9 has four major zones, each inspired by the design elements of the Four Symbols, the mythical creatures from an ancient culture. Within the new map, Wanderers will get a first hand look at the technological strength of Domain 9 and be the first to try their hand at many new in-game puzzles and challenges in the jam-packed 3.0 update. Wanderers will also be able to utilize brand new modes of exploration such as relic Speedwalkers for skywalking, as well as new cruisers. New gameplay features will be introduced such as the New Smart Servant System and New Mentorship System, aiding Wanderers during difficult combat and recruiting mentors and apprentices to the platform. Wanderers can also wage battle with a new boss, Zhuyan, who was accidentally awakened in the Black Jade Ruins.
Two new Simulacrums will be added to the 3.0 update along with the plethora of new content. The first, LiuHuo, is responsible for overseeing the captured Darkness. Her fierce and passionate martial nature makes her the perfect girl for the job. With her Calligraphy Brush in tow, she is able to use its ink to defend against enemies.
The second new simulacrum, Yulan, is one of Domain 9’s most successful fighters. She is admired by all who have dared to challenge her, and is able to wield the most technologically advanced weapon in all of Domain 9, which can create an airstream when used with timestamps.
Tower of Fantasy Update 3.0 Domain 9 Sector releases tomorrow on both PC and mobile devices. It’ll also release on the PS4 and PS5 later this year, though no exact date has been revealed.

In case you didn’t know. Striking Distance Studios’ debut game The Callisto Protocol will be getting its final piece of DLC later this week with “Final Transmission.” While there’s a lot of stuff left unanswered in the base game’s main story, Striking Distance says that they made a “bold choices” for The Callisto Protocol’s Final Transmission DLC.
Speaking to MP1st about the DLC, Striking Distance boss Glen Schofield mentioned that while they have a “strong vision” of the narrative, the studio took player feedback to hear.
MP1st: It’s been a little over six months since the Callisto Protocol launched, and the game has received some substantial updates addressing several gameplay mechanics, as well as adding some quality-of-life improvements based on feedback from players. With this being the final DLC, and a story one at that, there’s an opportunity for the studio to now address some of the feedback around the narrative. Is there something that might be noticeable in the DLC that the team did/change based on feedback on the narrative?
Glen Schofield: I wanted to start out by just saying a massive thank you to all the fans for sticking with us over the past six months, providing feedback, and just being there for us. We never stopped working on this game, and if anyone out there was on the fence about checking out the game, now is the time. We’ve shipped dozens of updates and made hundreds and hundreds of improvements based on feedback directly from the community, and a few things that just didn’t make it in for launch. Me and the team couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. We hope players enjoy it.
In terms of narrative, we had a pretty strong vision, but we definitely took player feedback to heart. I don’t want to give anything away, but we’ve made a few bold choices in the story that I hope the community will really find satisfying. I can’t wait to hear from players once the game is live.
Speaking of player feedback, Striking Distance did roll out quite a number of patches based on what the community requested. Not only did it add quality-of-life improvements, but we even got new features such as New Game+ and Riot Mode for free.
The Final Transmission DLC will be available on PlayStation platforms tomorrow, June 27, while Xbox and PC will be able to play it on June 29. Stay tuned to our full interview with Schofield regarding the DLC soon. The developers will also be holding a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session tomorrow, which you can read more about here.
The Perfect Dark reboot is still two to three years away from being released, according to sources familiar with the project. The report comes from IGN, with claims that the game is slated for release in two to three years, and that it may come in an episodic format. The sources have also cited troubled development between developer The Initiative and co-developer Certain Affinities.
Here’s the original teaser for Perfect Dark, which was released last 2020, for reference:
The trailer shown above wasn’t in-game footage; rather, it was made by an external CG house, and it was “very obviously way far ahead of anywhere the game was at,” according to one of The Initiative’s developers who worked on the project at the time.
It turns out that the game’s long development cycle has to do with troubles arising from internal decision-making. The plan was for Perfect Dark to feel like a spy movie, such as one you’d watch from the likes of Mission: Impossible or James Bond, but while this core idea stuck, many of the smaller ideas surrounding it kept changing, making it difficult to progress. This ended up frustrating both Certain Affinity and The Initiative, who were both developing the game during its early stages, and tensions only grew between the two studios as they continued to work on the project.
If the reports are to be believed, then it’ll be quite a while before we’ll hear any news of the Perfect Dark reboot. Still, at least we won’t have to wait for five or more years like with the next Elder Scrolls game.
Microsoft had its eyes on not one, but two major video game studios in the past, with Sega and Bungie both under the tech giant’s consideration, according to court documents from the FTC v. Microsoft hearing.
One document was an email addressed to Amy Hood, Microsoft’s CFO, from Xbox head Phil Spencer. In the email, Spencer claimed the following:
I’m writing to request Strategy Approval to approach Sega Sammy regarding a potential acquisition of their Sega gaming studios. For context, Bill and I have reviewed the business case for acquiring Sega and are both supportive. We believe that Sega has built a well-balanced portfolio of games across segments with global geographic appeal, and will help us accelerate Xbox Game Pass both on and off-console.
The email dates back to November 10, 2020, and with no information on the potential acquisition since then, it’s unclear as to what happened following the letter.
Another document also revealed a watchlist of companies that Microsoft would acquire, with Bungie among them. Other studios included Zynga, Niantic, Supergiant Games, and IO Interactive. Bungie was acquired by Sony last year for a whopping $3.6 billion.
Microsoft’s acquisitions have landed it many exclusive titles, such as the upcoming sci-fi RPG Starfield by Bethesda, which launches this September 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Vienna-based video game publisher THQ Nordic has announced that its physical releases for PC games will all receive “very limited” print runs for its Standard and Collector’s Editions. The publisher also provided more detailed information on print runs for some of its upcoming games.
Here’s what a typical limited print run will look like for future THQ Nordic games:
another batch will be made available online via THQ Nordic´s online stores, or offered to selected retail partners, respectively,
the very last number of the limited print run will always be sent to the Embracer Games Archive.
The following is an example print run following this new format for tactical game “Jagged Alliance 3:”
Jagged Alliance 3 – Standard Edition
Issue of 2,500 units in total, thereof
1,500 units of the German Version (Serial# 1 – 1500), and #1 – #20 are available from the THQ Nordic Vienna Store, the rest via the THQ Nordic online store, as well as selected German retail partners
999 units of the International Version (Serial# 1501 – 2499), available via the THQ Nordic online store, as well as selected retail partners

200 units in total of the Vienna Store CE, thereof
100 for the THQ Nordic Vienna Store and the THQ Nordic online store,
100 for promotion & the fantastic games’ developer Haemimont.
Given the limited nature of future physical PC releases, it may be a bit difficult to nab a copy for a game that you’re interested in. THQ Nordic actually volunteered to make physical editions for the upcoming Alan Wake 2 game. Should this collaboration follow through, it’s possible Alan Wake 2 will have a limited run like this, so keep your eyes peeled.
Originally marked for just a “Q3 2023” launch, the Fort Solis release date has now been confirmed, and it’s set to trek out this August 22, 2023 on PS5 and PC!
The release date announcement was tucked away in a new trailer for the game featuring Troy Baker (The Last of Us):
At the end of it, you cans see the August 22 date splattered on the screen, which was also confirmed by game’s Steam page that was updated recently with the release date as well.
Here’s more info about the sci-fi horror game (via Steam):
Fort Solis a riveting story driven thriller on the Red Planet
The experience envisioned by the developers :
The story is told across four chapters. Like a Netflix series, Fort Solis can be binged in one intense session, or played chapter by chapter like an episodic TV show.
Welcome to Fort Solis
Responding to an unusual alarm call from a remote mining base, Jack arrives at the dark and desolate Fort Solis. With storm warnings imminent, he heads inside to make desperate contact. As the night grows longer, events escalate, spiral out of control and the mystery of what happened to the crew begins to reveal itself. The storms is approching, limiting Jack’s escape as he looks to hold out until morning arrives.
Immersive Storytelling
Fort Solis looks to deliver a high-fidelity experience designed to completely immerse the player in the cast and their long night. With performances from Roger Clark, Troy Baker and Julia Brown, Fort Solis looks to deliver emotion, fear, empathy and much more with every chapter.
Supporting the core narrative are additional instances of story such as audio logs, surveillance footage or past of present events. Accompanying those are video logs recorded by all crew detailing the events before and perhaps even after that night the alarm was triggered at Fort Solis…
Grounded by the visuals
Fort Solis brings to players, the next level of details, facial and body animations. With the help of Unreal Engine 5.2 Fort Solis realistic universe is brought to life!
An Isolated mining complex
The skeleton of Fort Solis is built above and below ground. The base contains a variety of locations each with their own surface and sub surface levels. Players will be able to explore the isolated storm bearing surface, the creepy service tunnels absent of any light or the multiple departments that help Fort Solis function on a day-to-day basis such as Engineering, Medical and Communications.
As the story unfolds locations can easily be revisited for additional story context or continue to serve as a backdrop to the fate that awaits Jack with each passing hour.
Hopefully, Fort Solis joins the ranks of the excellent horror games released this year.
Paradox Interactive has posted a Cities: Skylines 2 gameplay deep dive video focusing on the Traffic AI and tools they have used to “build more realistic and immersive traffic simulations.” Developers discuss the lengths they take to improve and expand the task of managing traffic.
Check out the new Cities: Skylines 2 gameplay deep dive right here:
Furthermore, the developers have posted a blog post that goes into detail about all the changes being made to Cities: Skylines 2 traffic AI from its predecessor, and other upgrades. You can read all about that right here.
There is also a roadmap for all the upcoming dev diaries, along with the topics they will discuss. Since Traffic AI has been covered, the next and third dev diary is scheduled for July 3, and covers Public and Cargo Transportation.
Cities: Skylines 2 will is set to launch later this year on October 24, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. It will also be available with Xbox Game Pass on the same day.
Recently, a bit of confusion arose in regards to sci-fi RPG Starfield’s physical version, with conflicting information from Bethesda implying that physical versions of the game would only contain codes for the game, not physical discs for the Xbox Series X and S consoles. A new blog post from the game developer and publisher, however, reveals that physical versions for the Xbox will, in fact, contain discs.
The confusion began when the official Bethesda Twitter account stated that “all physical editions include a code for the chosen platform” in a now-deleted reply.
Now, an article on the Bethesda website states that all physical Xbox copies of Starfield will come with a game disc. Since PCs have already done away with the use of discs, however, physical purchases of the PC Standard edition will instead include game codes.
Interestingly enough, another Xbox console exclusive got into a similar situation earlier this year, with many people believing that Redfall’s physical copies would only contain game codes, not discs. This was, of course, corrected by developer Arkane Studio, with game discs included in physical copies of Redfall for Xbox.
Starfield launches this September 6 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

If you are looking for something new to do in Resident Evil 4 remake, it seems like you’re in luck., as new Resident Evil 4 achievements have surfaced on Steam.
There are seven new achievements/trophies that have surfaced on Steam, and people are speculating that it has something to do with Mercenaries. The first two achievements are titled “43-en” and “44-en” while the remaining five appear under hidden achievements. Picture below:
Nothing has been formally announced about the new Resident Evil 4 achievements yet, and at a glance, they do not provide much context as to what they might be. However, this could possibly be the Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC that was recently unearthed in a datamine. Since the achievements are now surfacing on Steam, it is likely that an official announcement is made soon.
With (possibly) more content around the horizon, this might be the perfect time to jump into Resident Evil 4 remake. Our review couldn’t praise the game enough where it scored a perfect 10/10.
We will update our readers as soon as an official announcement is made, so stay tuned!

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SOLVING SOME ISSUES
We cannot guarantee or support the game if the Atomic Heart game client has been modified by any third-party software. If this happens, you should uninstall this software and reinstall the game.
If you encounter issues on Steam, first check the integrity of the game files as described here. This may solve the issues:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
Updating the driver to the latest version may improve performance (NVIDIA only).
The problem with unlocking achievements has already been solved, but in some very rare cases, the following issues may occur:
○ There may be some delay in unlocking achievements on a platform that requires an Internet connection for this process;
○ For those whose achievements were achieved entirely on savegames before or during the Day 1 patch, there may be some issues, which can be solved as follows:
a) In case the achievements were not unlocked, even though their progress was achieved, it will be necessary to re-execute all the conditions by starting a new game.
b) In the rare case where all achievements have been obtained, but the “The Motherland Does Not Forget its Heroes” achievement has not been unlocked for achieving them all, the problem can be solved simply by starting a new game. Data will be recalculated at the launch of the new game, which will entail unlocking the achievement.
