Need for Speed Unbound Upcoming Content Details to Be Announced This March

It looks like Need for Speed Unbound players will have to wait a little longer before they get to know more about the game’s first content update. An official post reveals that we won’t be hearing anything regarding Need for Speed Unbound upcoming content from the devs until March.

The announcement was made in a Reddit post that went over the game’s latest update, which introduced balancing changes and fixes earlier today. At the bottom of the post, it reads this:

As mentioned in December 2022, we will be delivering a series of free content updates that will include new features, experiences, content drops and more. We are currently working hard on delivering our first content update to Lakeshore and are looking forward to sharing more details with you in March!

The feedback, suggestions, bugs & issues you report – and your participation in the global Need for Speed community – continue to drive our ongoing work and we’re excited y’all are along for the ride with us. So, buckle up and hit the gas – the road ahead is wide open.
See you in Lakeshore!

As the post states that the details will be shared in March, it’s unlikely the content update itself will come out until March, too. For reference, NFS Unbound was released back on November 29 last year, so it’s been over a month without a content update. Still, Criterion Games and EA promise free updates and content, so at least you won’t have to shell out any extra cash when the updates drop.

Rumor: Bethesda and Tango Gameworks to Announce Shooter Called “Hi-Fi Rush” in Developer Direct Show

The upcoming Developer Direct show is almost here, and a recent leak may have just revealed one of the games that will be announced during the event. Called “Hi-Fi Rush,” it’s a shooter made by Bethesda alongside Tango Gameworks

The leak was reported by billbil-kun, who has correctly leaked various information in the past, such as the free games during the Epic Games holiday giveaway event

This isn’t the first time Hi-Fi Rush was leaked, either. A ResetEra thread from December of last year actually showcased the logo as well as some concept art of the game. At the time, ZeniMax was the company mentioned alongside Bethesda, but billbil-kun’s tweet reveals that it’s actually a collaboration with Tango Gameworks, a Japanese game developer under ZeniMax. Tango Gameworks was the studio behind The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 as well as Ghostwire: Tokyo.

While waiting for the Developer Direct livestream, consider checking out our Ghostwire: Tokyo review to give you an idea of what Tango Gameworks is capable of. We gave the game an 8.5/10 score with the following verdict: “Tango Gameworks manages to embalm it’s player in a beautiful and enticing world that is known as Ghostwire: Tokyo. There is a sense of the unknown that shrouds this new, and interesting universe, and while I may have some issues, ultimately I believe the studio has laid out a solid foundation, for what is hopefully a start to a beautiful franchise. The story will get you hooked, but the world itself will have you staying, searching for answers to those questions you dare not ask.”

Overwatch 2 Update 3.44 Brings Season 2 Balance Changes This January 24

Blizzard has pushed out Overwatch 2 update 3.44, and this brings the Season 2 balance changes! Tanks such as Roadhog and Orisa get significant nerfs, which are listed in the Overwatch 2 January 24 patch notes.

Overwatch 2 Update 3.44 Patch Notes | Overwatch 2 January 24 Patch Notes:

HERO UPDATES

Tank

Orisa

Fortify

  • Health bonus reduced from 125 to 75

Roadhog

Chain Hook

  • Impact damage reduced from 30 to 5
  • The enemy final position distance from Roadhog after being pulled increased from 3 to 4 meters

Scrap Gun

  • Damage per pellet reduced from 6.6 to 6
  • Recovery time reduced from 0.85 to 0.8 seconds
  • Reload time reduced from 2 to 1.75 seconds
  • Maximum ammo increased from 5 to 6

Developer comments: These changes aim to reduce the frustration of dying in one shot immediately after being hooked and pulled by Roadhog. Chain Hook is still a powerful utility to forcibly reposition enemy players, so it will still often lead to eliminations. Its effectiveness will now be more dependent on specific hero matchups and how the hooked target is able to respond.

Damage

Sojourn

Railgun

  • Energy gain is no longer based on damage done by primary fire. Each primary fire hit against an enemy player now grants 5 energy
  • Primary fire damage per projectile reduced from 10 to 9

Developer comments: The energy gain adjustment will help smooth out Sojourn’s average Railgun charge time because it won’t benefit as much from critical damage or damage boost abilities. Hitting armored targets or other sources of damage reduction will result in quicker energy gains than before.

Previously, damage boosts and critical damage had an amplified effect for Sojourn since it reduced the time to build energy and lowered the threshold at which her Railgun secondary fire became lethal. The reduction to primary fire damage will further slow that down as well.

Support

Kiriko

Healing Ofuda

  • Recovery time increased from 0.85 to 1 second

Developer comments: Despite Kiriko’s healing projectiles being slow-moving and single target, her average healing output per match is higher than we’d like. We’ve seen players tend to get overly focused on maximizing her healing potential and only use primary fire for extended periods of time. Rather than reduce the amount of healing per projectile, which may lead to feeling locked into focusing on primary fire even more, we’re increasing the recovery time before she can start firing the Healing Ofuda. Increasing recovery times opens the opportunity to weave in secondary fire Kunai more freely.

BUG FIXES

GENERAL

  • Fixed an issue with the “Winged Sandals’ weapon charm’s ‘How to Unlock’ text
  • Adjusted footstep audio mixing to make enemy footsteps more audible

HEROES

Lucio

  • Fixed an issue with Lucio’s Hermes skin exhibiting incorrect physics

Reinhardt

  • Fixed an issue with Reinhardt’s Hammer appearing deformed during the Sweethardt emote

Sojourn

  • Fixed an issue where Sojourn’s Cyber Detective Skin would fail to load

Wrecking Ball

  • Fixed an issue with Adaptive Shield where it could be incorrectly applied before the cooldown was complete

Agree with the changes? This should shake up the meta quite a bit. Once more Overwatch 2 changes are out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Deadpool Gameplay Showcase Features the Merc’s Abilities and Playstyle

Deadpool was just recently announced to join Marvel’s Midnight Suns as a DLC character, and we get to see what the Merc with a Mouth can do in-game via a new gameplay showcase. The showcase highlights Deadpool’s abilities and gives players an idea of his overall playstyle.

Deadpool’s kit essentially revolves around his resource called “En Fuego.” Here’s the full showcase:

En Fuego is a meter-based resource that you can build by K.O.’ing an enemy using his abilities. Once the meter fills, you get a stack of En Fuego, and this resets the meter. Deadpool’s abilities are amplified based on the number of En Fuego stacks you have, so your goal is to gain as many En Fuego stacks as possible to maximize his potential damage output.

As Deadpool’s kit revolves around him taking all the glory, you’ll want to build a team that provides support while Deadpool handles the damage department. This does mean that you won’t be able to run just anyone alongside Deadpool if you want to maximize his damage potential, so keep that in mind.

Another useful trait that Deadpool has is his passive called “Staying Alive.” This is unlockable by gaining friendship with Deadpool, and it lets Deadpool heal 15% of his max health every turn. The second level of this passive further increases the heal by 5% per En Fuego stack, so you’ll really want to ramp up those stacks not just for damage, but for survivability, too.

Deadpool is set to launch on January 25 in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

6.5.0 Patch Notes for January 24:

Content

Event – Moonlight Burrow

  • The “Moonlight Burrow” Lunar New Year event starts January 24, 11am ET.

Archives

  • Tome 14 – BETRAYAL Level 1 opens January 25, 11am ET.

Archive Challenges:

  • “Dark Triumph” Killer Challenge: As The Executioner, Survivors who die inside a Cage of Atonement now award progress.
  • “Terrified” Killer Challenge: As The Trickster, Survivors hit by Showstopper blades no longer award progress.
  • “Near Miss” Survivor Challenge: Dodging Basic Attacks from The Oni and The Ghost Face (while crouched) now awards progress.
  • “The Engineer’s Guild” Survivor Challenge: Progress is now cumulative and no longer resets when the co-op action is interrupted.

Features

Quality Of Life

Survivor Activity HUD

  • The Survivor HUD now features an indicator that appears whenever they or their teammates engage in an activity. Activities include Repairing a Generator, being chased by the Killer, Healing, recovering from the Dying State, Cleansing or Blessing a Totem, opening an Exit Gate, or interacting with a Killer’s Power.

Merciless Killer

  • Moving forward, getting 4 Kills will earn the Killer a Merciless Killer rating, rather than the previous requirement of a double pip.

The Queuing Experience

  • Players are now able to browse the Store, The Archives and Daily Rituals, while queueing for a match. If they are mid-purchase when the lobby is ready, the game will wait for the conclusion of the transaction – though it will kick the player if the delay is too long.
  • While queued, Killers can browse their other Killers and change their loadouts and customizations. This will not affect their currently queued character, who remains shown beside the “Looking for Match” message.

Dev Note: Due to a potential disconnection during cinematics, we had to disable the viewing of cinematics when in a party or queueing for a match.

Wiggling

Following a period in BETA, the updated Wiggle system is now standard for all players. Rather than mashing the left and right inputs to Wiggle, it now follows a ping-pong Skill Check system.

Based on the feedback we’ve received from players – thank you very much – we have made a few adjustments to the system.

  • Controller input handling has been improved, which should allow Killers to respond to Wiggling more efficiently while carrying Survivors.
  • Survivors no longer shorten carry time by hitting Great Skill Checks. Instead, Great Skill Checks will increase resistance for the Killer.
  • The size of the Great Skill Check zone has been slightly increased. We’ve also updated the Wiggling sound effects for improved feedback.
PatchNotesDivider.png

Balance Changes

The Knight

Now that the Forged In Fog Chapter has been released for several weeks, we have updated several aspects of The Knight’s Base Kit:

  • While using his Power, The Knight is now forced out of Guard Summon Mode after 10 seconds.
  • While tracing a Patrol Path, The Knight’s Orb shrinks with distance travelled and disappears completely after 10m.
  • When The Knight creates a Patrol Path longer than 10m, he will gain the Haste Status Effect. The Effect’s duration depends on the length of the Path, beginning at 2 seconds and increasing to 10 seconds at the maximum distance of 32m. The 10-second duration was 6 seconds on the PTB.
  • When a Guard detects a Survivor: If your Patrol Path is over 10m, the time it takes that Guard to reach the Survivor has been decreased. This reduction depends on the length of your Path, ranging from the default 10% to a maximum of 25% if your Path reaches 32m. Basically, the longer your Patrol Path, the faster your Guard will move once he detects a Survivor.
  • Using a Guard to damage a Generator now grants an instant 5% loss of progress (previously 2.5%).

Add-On Updates:

  • Healing Poultice: When Survivors are within 24m of The Assassin when he spawns, their locations will be revealed for 5 seconds (up from 3).   PatchNotesDividerSmolWhite.png

The Nurse

The Nurse holds an interesting place in the Killer Roster. Though her Power can be challenging to master, she can be extremely deadly in practiced hands, especially with certain Perks that accentuate her mobility. While we don’t want to completely overhaul her, we have made some updates to The Nurse, including a pass on her Add-Ons.

In addition, The Nurse is officially the latest Killer to receive her own theme in the menu, as well as a new Terror Radius and Chase Music.

Base Kit:

  • Any Attack made after Blinking is now a Blink Attack, not a Basic Attack. This will impact how The Nurse synergizes with certain Perks, including those that trigger the Exposed Status Effect.

Add-On Updates:

  • Catatonic Boy’s Treasure: Reduces extra fatigue from Chain Blinks by 65% (was 100).
  • Dark Cincture: Increases movement speed after a Blink but before the following fatigue by 30%.
  • Heavy Panting: Extends the duration of a Lunge by 30% after more than one Blink.
  • Ataxic Respiration: Reduces base Blink fatigue duration by 7% (was 12%).
  • Fragile Wheeze: Blink Attacks inflict the Mangled status effect.
  • Campbell’s Last Breath: After reappearing from a fully charged Blink, The Nurse immediately Blinks again at full charge in the direction she is currently facing. This only works if The Nurse has a remaining Blink charge (was originally a half-charged Blink).
  • “Bad Man’s” Last Breath: Hitting a Survivor with a successful Blink Attack grants the Undetectable status effect for 25 seconds (up from 16). This effect may be only triggered once every 45 seconds (down from 60).
  • Kavanaugh’s Last Breath: When succumbing to fatigue, any Survivors within 8 meters of The Nurse are afflicted with the Blindness status effect for 60 seconds.
  • Jenner’s Last Breath: Once The Nurse has exhausted all her Blinks, The Nurse can immediately Blink back to her original position by pressing the Active Ability Button. Must be triggered before The Nurse succumbs to fatigue. After returning to her original position, one Blink charge is restored (added restoration of 1 Blink charge; this is a change from the PTB where all charges were restored).
  • Torn Bookmark: Adds 1 Blink charge. Increases Blink recharge time by 30% (was 50%).
  • Matchbox: Sets maximum number of Blink charges to 1. Increases The Nurse’s base movement speed to 4.4 m/s (was 4.2 m/s, no longer allows other addons to increase Blink charges).

We’ve also adjusted the following:

  • Improved feedback for the Spasmodic Breath Add-On.
  • Updated Blink recharge audio to give a better indication of when Blink charges are full.PatchNotesDividerSmolWhite.png

Eyrie of Crows Map

Eyrie of Crows has received an additional balance pass to make the Map more fun to play for both Survivor and Killer.

  • The Map’s length has been shortened.
  • Generators are more evenly distributed.
  • The main building has been moved toward the Map’s edge.
  • The strength of certain main building loops has been decreased.
  • New tiles have been added.
  • Dead Zones have been reduced around the border.
  • The Exit Gate no longer inadvertently spawns behind the main building.
  • Certain rocks will no longer spawn close to Hooks, causing collision issues.
  • An alternate Generator has been added to the main building.
PatchNotesDivider.png

Bug Fixes

PlayStation

  • The PlayStation Store banner no longer remains visible outside of the store.
  • PlayStation players should no longer have trouble inviting or joining their friends in a match.

Windows Store

  • Players should no longer be unable to successfully purchase Auric Cells on the Windows Store.

Audio

  • The proper SFX will now play when a match is found.
  • The blood SFX will no longer play when a Hooked Survivor enters the Struggle Phase.
  • The Locker exit SFX is no longer unaffected by the Quick & Quiet Perk.
  • The Music no longer continues playing while a Survivor is being Sacrified.
  • Raised the volume of the Legion’s blood wiping SFX.

The Knight

  • The Knight’s Guards no longer get stuck in various places on the Mount Ormond Map.

Aliens Fireteam Elite Update 1.35 Brings Reward Fixes & More This January 24

Cold Iron Studios has deployed Aliens Fireteam Elite update 1.35 (PS5 version 1.035), which brings changes on how rewards are obtained, bug fixes and more! Read on for the official Aliens Fireteam Elite January 24 patch notes.

Aliens Fireteam Elite Update 1.35 Patch Notes | Aliens Fireteam Elite Update 1.035 Patch Notes | Aliens Fireteam Elite January 24 Patch Notes:

Ruptured Cistern

We know you’ve been busy thinning the hordes of Xenomorphs in the Cistern, Marines. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed! If you got the limited rewards, you’ve earned ‘em! If you haven’t, sadly, your time to collect is over. But that doesn’t mean game over. Starting today, the limited time rewards from the Winter Event have been replaced with new permanent rewards. You’ll want to boot up and hit the Cisterns again to look for those all new weapon colors, emotes, and a new decal.

Some weapons, attachments, and rewards have been adjusted, and you’ll notice those Horde Mode rewards menus are much easier to read.

Like you, we’ve also been busy killing bugs. Read on for the full report of everything in this patch, and then get back to business, jarheads!

BUG FIXES

REWARDS

In addition to the below changes to Cosmetic rewards, all Game Mode reward tables have been updated so that they share the same pool of non-cosmetic rewards. This means that all Perks and Attachments that were previously only available in some modes are now available in all modes. All cosmetic rewards are still only available from their unique Game Mode.

The following changes have been made to rewards in the following Game Modes:

  • Reworked the Horde Mode reward previews to better clarify possible rewards for each set of 10 waves.
  • Horde Mode – Ruptured Cistern: The Winter Event limited rewards have been removed from the Ruptured Cistern Horde Mode (Winter Constellations, Deep Freeze, Stay Frosty, Xeno’s Greetings, Let It Snow, Holly Berries, Antarctica Traffic Control, Icicles)

The following rewards have been added to the Ruptured Cistern Horde Mode:

THREE (3) NEW EMOTES – (Intense+)

  • Respect
  • Elaborate Bow
  • Fist Pump High

THREE (3) NEW WEAPON COLORS  – (Extreme+)

  • Warped Mesh Assassin
  • Warped Mesh Ranger
  • Warped Mesh Freelancer

ONE (1) NEW DECAL – (Insane)

  • Peace Through Superior Firepower

Game Mode Reward Changes:

  • All Modes now share the same reward pool of Attachments and Perks. Previously, some Attachments were only available from Point Defense, some Attachments were only available from Restock Turrets, and some Perks were only available from Likasi Tower. All of these have been pooled together now. All modes now grant access to first tier of Attachment/Perk rewards when completed on Casual or Standard difficulties, unlock access to the second tier of Attachment/Perk rewards when completed on Intense difficulty, unlock access to an additional Universal Perk  on Extreme, and unlock access to the final Universal Perk on Insane difficulty.
  • Point Defense Cosmetic Rewards: Rewards that previously only dropped in a specific difficulty tier, will now also drop in higher difficulty tiers. For example, if a reward used to be earned by beating Point Defense on Intense (and only Intense), it will now have a chance to drop in Extreme and Insane difficulties if the reward has not been previously granted.
  • Horde Mode – Likasi Tower Cosmetic Rewards: Now has two (2) additional rewards (Weapon Check emote on any difficulty, and Corpsman Up decal on Intense+ difficulties). If you beat a higher difficulty, and haven’t received previous tier cosmetic rewards, those can be earned if you have already been granted the rewards associated with the higher difficulty tier.
  • Restock Turrets – Tower Cosmetic Rewards: Now has two (2) additional Decals (Little Buddy, Substantial Value) available as rewards at Extreme+ difficulties. Additionally, if you are playing on a higher difficulty and win, and haven’t unlocked previous tier cosmetic rewards, those can be earned if you have already received the current tier cosmetic rewards.

Additional Hardcore Game Mode Reward Changes:

  • Hardcore: Point Defense – Quake: Attachment and Perk rewards that previously only dropped with a certain number of Points remaining active, will now also drop if additional Points remain active. For example, if an Attachment or Perk reward used to be earned by beating Point Defense in Hardcore Mode, with only 1 Point standing (and only 1 Point), it will now also have a chance to drop with 2 or all 3 points standing. Cosmetic rewards are only accessible if all 3 points remain active .
  • Hardcore: Horde Mode – Likasi Tower: Attachment and Perk rewards that previously only dropped at a specific wave threshold, will now also drop if additional wave thresholds are met.  For example, if an Attachment or Perk reward used to be earned by successfully completing 10 waves (and only 10 waves) it will now also have a chance to drop at wave 20+, and Attachment or Perk rewards that used to be earned by successfully completing 20 waves ( and only 20 waves) now also have a chance to drop at wave 30+, and so on. Cosmetic rewards now also drop with similar behavior.

WEAPONS & ATTACHMENTS

The following updates have been made to Weapons:

  • M42A2 Scout Rifle: The 4 Star Perk now properly states that it lasts 5s, not 3s. This is just a text change.
  • 2B1 Vajra: Now properly refreshes the duration of the 4 star perk when reapplied.
  • L56A3 Smartgun: Now has a special “target locking” function while aiming/ADS that prevents the weapon from firing if no valid target is found. This will prevent it from firing if no target is found, or if a friendly target is found on higher difficulties.

  • Servo-Assisted Armature: Now properly grants the stated +5% Movement Speed.
  • Bracing Armature: Now properly lists +40% Stability (instead of +15%) in the description of the Standing Still proc. (This is a text only changed)
  • Combat Actuator: Now properly states that it grants +4% Stability per stack, instead of +3%. (This is a text only change)
  • Hollow Points: The blood proc now deals the same amount of damage over 5s, instead of over 8s. Now stacks up to 3 times.
  • T22E4 Sargodha N-HANCE: Slight adjustment to the enemy highlighting while scoped to make enemies more noticeable.

  • PHALANX: The Phalanx Handgun Training Perk now correctly affects the Range of Handguns.

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.000.052 Punches Out for v2.7.2 This Jan. 24

Marvel’s Avengers update 1.000.052 is now out on all platforms, and this is for v2.7.2 that brings gameplay changes and bug fixes. Given the recent cease of support announcement, don’t expect any new content from this patch or any other moving forward. Check out what’s new in the official Marvel’s Avengers January 24 patch notes.

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.000.052 Patch Notes | Marvel’s Avengers January 24 Patch Notes:

REASSEMBLE CAMPAIGN & AVENGERS INITIATIVE

  • We’ve adjusted Exotic gear and the Ultimo-Stone minor artifact stat growth at Power Levels 167, 171, and 175, which we found were undertuned.  An example of this new stat growth is that exotic 2 stat gear can reach 132 per attribute.
  • Pym, Cryo, Gamma, and Web status can now fully stack on either of Monica’s Exos in the final encounter of ‘No Rest for the Wicked.’
  • We added several collision boxes during the final boss encounter in ‘No Rest for the Wicked’ to prevent clipping through the room.
  • That’s not canon! Bucky will no longer appear in the Helicarrier as an NPC when you play as the Winter Soldier.
  • We fixed an issue causing vendors not to carry certain gear if the player was PL 180 or above.

USER INTERFACE

  • The file icon that is displayed in the audio file reward banner is no longer off-center.
  • The Winter Soldier’s ‘Winter Kills’ mission chain now properly displays all rewards.

"COMBAT"

COMBAT

  • Players can now switch between the Winter Soldier’s ranged settings without the Hero becoming stuck.
  • We added the correct sounds to Winter Soldier’s in-air Ultimate Heroic.
  • The Winter Soldier’s sound effects when using the ‘Stone Cold Kick’ and ‘Explosive Entrance’ skills are now correct!
  • The Winter Soldier’s ‘Soldier Tech’ Heroic Support Skill no longer provides an invisibility buff that exceeds the stipulated time
  • Spider-Man can no longer perform Wreckage Takedowns on Monica’s Exos in ‘No Rest for the Wicked.’

 ART AND ANIMATION

  • Fixed a distortion on the chest crest of Hawkeye’s ‘Modern’ Outfit.
  • The Starbrand on Hulk’s chest when wearing the ‘1,000,000 B.C.’ Outfit now illuminates properly.
  • We fixed the face skin weighting on multiple Heroes to prevent facial rig deforming.
  • Fixed an issue where equipping the High-Caliber loadout on Black Widow only granted one pistol for both hands during Takedowns. “No Such Thing As Too Much” and “A New Kind of Trust Fall” will now switch Black Widow to her pistols if she’s utilizing High-Caliber, only for the duration Takedown, and revert back to High-Caliber once finished.
  • We adjusted Thor’s Unhelmed Outfit inspired by ‘Marvel Studios’ Thor’ to prevent clipping when performing certain emotes.
  • The Winter Soldier’s ‘Galvanized Stealth’ skill will no longer cause other players to turn invisible when his ‘United in the Shadows’ skill isn’t active.
  • Mjolnir and Undrjarn now illuminate as intended when the Mighty Thor uses the ‘Mjolnir Chat’ emote in Outposts.

 GEAR, CHALLENGES, & REWARDS

  • Hulks ‘Lethal Support Cryo Administrator’ perk now grants the correct nanites to allies.
  • Iron Man’s ‘Support Cryo Boost’ perk no longer grants nanites when activating Hulkbaster, as intended. This perk should only activate Arc Overload and not with entering Hulkbuster.
  • The ‘Lethal Ranged Plasma Administrator’ perk on the new Cloning Lab gear no longer overrides the ‘Ultimate Lethal Plasma Administrator’ perk.

DESIGN CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS

WEAPON CHANGES

Although we are playing in a post-apocalyptic world, we still want to keep that world fair, fun, and inviting to all. While you have been exploring and rebuilding, we have been working on a new system that works behind the scenes to remove illegal attachment combinations that violate the EULA to ensure that every single player is using and trading the same items and has the same advantages as you.

In today’s update, we are implementing a system that will remove illegal mods attached to weapons that cannot be obtained in-game. Most players will not notice any change to their existing weapons, however, players who are in possession of a weapon with a mod that cannot be equipped naturally to the weapon may notice a damage decrease to the weapon, and the mod will no longer exist.

BUG FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS

  • Cryolater : Made adjustments to the frosted texture on the weapon model.

The official patch notes aren’t out yet, but here are the weapon improvements included in today’s title update per Bethesda:

What does this mean for my weapons?

For a great majority of our player base, you will not notice any changes to your weapons. This system will detect weapon mod attachments placed on weapons that they don’t naturally belong to and cannot be obtained through gameplay. In addition to this, weapons with mods that we have removed from the drop pool previously in balance adjustments will also be impacted. This includes weapons such as Stalkers Shovel’s and Explosive Energy Weapons.

This implementation is to ensure that all players have the same advantages as you, whether this be in Events, Daily Op’s, Scorched Earth and more. All players must adhere to the EULA rules and regulations, and the terms of our TOS.

Weapon Improvements

Additionally, we’re making a few changes to existing weapons. A few of these changes being:

  • Assault Rifles will now correctly have the Rifle classification regardless of how it is modded.
  • Explosive bullets now only apply to bullets. (Railway Spikes excluded.)
  • Handy Buzz Blade’s will have greatly reduced VATS AP consumption.
  • Radium Rifles will have an increased rate to learn mods when scrapping.
  • Gunpowder is now categorized as junk/scrap.

Once the full patch notes are out, we’ll update the article.

Update: The full patch notes have been released by Bethesda!

Fallout 76 Servers Down for Maintenance This January 24, Here’s What to Expect

If you’re having issues logging in to Fallout 76, it’s not just you. Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down for maintenance this January 24, which will also see the roll out of a new title update.

Update #2: Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down again this January 27! Read more about that here.

Update: Full patch notes for January 24 are now out! Check them out here.

Fallout 76 Servers Down Status and Updates for January 24:

Here’s the announcement from Bethesda regarding today’s F076 downtime:

In the latest “Inside the Vault” blog post from the studio, it was mentioned that a new title update will be released as part of today’s maintenance. There won’t be any new content but rather, the patch will focus on bug fixes and will also include the removal of the illegal weapon mod.

Once the patch is out, we’ll update this article to provide a proper link out (or you can check our FO76 game hub once it’s live). As for the schedule, expect it to last for a few hours. Unfortunately, Bethesda rarely gives any proper timeframe on these things, so we can’t say whether it’ll take more than an hour or two. We’ll be updating the article for any new developments regarding the server outages, so refresh it from time to time.

Gotham Knights Servers Down for Maintenance This January 24

Bat family players that can’t connect to Gotham Knights, don’t fret, it’s not a super villain that’s to blame, but rather, WB Games Montreal has taken the Gotham Knights servers down this January 24, and it’s for maintenance!

Gotham Knights Servers Down Status and Updates for January 24:

This is a pretty long maintenance period for the game’s servers during which time co-op won’t be available. Here’s the announcement from the devs:

Incoming transmission to the Belfry: We will be doing scheduled maintenance on January 24th between 9:00 am EST – 4:00PM EST – matchmaking, online services and co-op sessions will be impacted at that time. Thank you. #GothamKnights

Convert to your timezone here

As you can see, this is a long downtime for the game’s servers, which means players won’t be able to connect for seven hours. If there’s a patch released during or after the maintenance, which is sometimes the case for games, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. Ditto if the maintenance period is extended or if anything changes.

Bookmark our Gotham Knights game hub to know if there’s a new patch for the game.

GTA Online Account Lock Glitch for PC Reported; Upcoming Title Update to Fix Issues

Players of Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5)‘s online multiplayer mode, GTA Online, have recently found an exploit that could potentially corrupt your accounts. Fortunately, it appears Rockstar Games is aware of the issue, and the studio hopes to fix the GTA Online account lock glitch in an upcoming title update.

The glitch apparently allows hackers to change or modify a player’s stats as well as the ability to corrupt another player’s account, potentially resulting in a ban or deletion of your account.

As the tweet reports, PC players will want to play with their firewall enabled to be on the safe side. This exploit is pretty concerning as it can result in a ban.

Rockstar recently released a statement addressing the exploit, stating that a future title update should solve the issue.

It’s worth noting that Rockstar did not state when this update would go live, but with an exploit as major as this, the studio will hopefully launch the update fairly soon. Until the update drops, you’re probably better off picking up another game or playing solo in single-player instead.
