Helldivers 2 Update 1.003.103 Released for Shrieker Mega Nests and the Leviathan Balancing

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 update 1.003.103 for PC and PS5 gamers today. The developer has increased the health of Mega Shrieker nests and has made changes to Leviathans.

A ton of crash fixes and other bug fixes have also been made. Read on for the patch notes for this new update below.

Overview

  • Battle For Super Earth commemorative cape!
    Please note: Capes may take several hours to complete deployment to all Helldivers.
    The cape is available for all *active players* (players logged in within the last 60 days) during the Battle for Super Earth event, from May 13 to June 2.

  • Balance adjustments to Shrieker Mega Nests and the Leviathan

  • Fixes galore! Including a fix for the crash in the weapon customisation screen

Balancing

  • Increased the health of Mega Shrieker nests. This change was made to make the objective more challenging and provide more varied solutions to destroying them.

  • Leviathans now have a shorter sight range and will mark their target with light a few seconds before they fire. This change gives players a fair warning before being fired upon.

Fixes

Crash Fixes, Hangs and Soft-locks:

  • Fixed crash that occurred when changing between menus in weapon customisation too quickly.

  • Fixed crash that would occur for players fighting bots with a poor connection.

  • Fixed a freeze when generating bug city missions.

  • Fixed crash that could occur when taking down Illuminate Overships.

Weapons and Stratagems

  • Fixed Weapons with selectable ammo (Recoilless Rifle, Autocannon, etc) having their icons overwritten by the Warrant’s “Guided/Unguided” Mode.

  • P-92 Warrant: will no longer lock some targets when in unguided mode.

  • P-92 Warrant: Fixed an issue where lock-on would be difficult in some environments.

  • P-92 Warrant: Fixed some Z-fighting with lights on the weapon.

  • P-92 Warrant: Corrected animations for the pistol’s sight, it should now fold away nicely when in unguided mode.

  • AX/LAS-5 “Guard Dog” Rover: will no longer return to backpack to “reload.”

  • AR-32 Pacifier: Fixed spent casing not ejecting from the ejection port. 

  • Added Videos for the K-9 Guard Dog and Gl-52 De-Escalator.

  • One True Flag: Fixed an issue where planting the flag would cause objective items to clip through the ground.

Enemies

  • Fixed some issues where enemies could clip into certain terrain elements.
    Note: We aren’t done resolving all of these issues and continue to investigate. Please keep the reports coming!

Missions

  • Fixed an issue where horde missions would spawn at Difficulties lower than 5, which would break some functionality.

  • Fixed an issue where certain bug missions would not spawn during operations.

Miscellaneous Fixes

  • Resolved issue with vehicle skins not having a scroll bar and increased total number of skins that can be displayed.

  • All cities will now display in the city availability UI.

  • Fixed a bug that would show 0 player count on some cities.

  • Added more logging to track desyncs and crashes.

  • Fixed Borderline Justice armours to be more accurate to their stats, e.g. slight improvement to draw speed, etc.

Final Fantasy 14 Update 1.000.316 Out for Patch 7.25 Hotfixes

Square Enix has released a new hotfix for patch 7.25, which is update 1.000.316. This update allows players to see the correct checkmarks for certain missions, and other bug fixes have also been addressed.

Maintenance for the game is underway right now, but should be finished by the time you read this. Read on for the details of update 11.15, which is the patch number for Final Fantasy 14 on PS4.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Hotfixes (June 17, 2025)

■ In Cosmic Exploration’s “Missions in Progress” window, Silver Star and Gold Star Requirements will now show a checkmark only if a mission’s completion requirements have been met.

■ The division number has been changed from 3 to 2 in the Field Instances of “Sinus Ardorum”, to relieve congestion from implementing Patch 7.21.

■ The following issues have been addressed:
– In the Mamool Ja Quests, movements of certain NPCs who appear in Gok Golma were incorrect.
– In Occult Crescent: South Horn, when a phantom job Thief used the phantom action Vigilance, the “Foreseen Offense” status would not be applied under certain conditions.
– In Occult Crescent: South Horn, under certain conditions, the Persistent Pot NPC would still follow even if the “Cache Me if You Can” status was turned off.
– In Occult Crescent: South Horn, the battle area indicator for the critical encounter “Shark Attack” remained visible even when the area had moved to a different location.
– In Occult Crescent: South Horn, the incorrect effect was displayed when changing a phantom job.
– In Cosmic Exploration, even if enough points toward Starward Standings had been accumulated, a message indicating there was no data may have appeared when speaking to the Scanningway NPC under certain conditions.
– In Cosmic Exploration, if you disconnected while the cosmic fortune roulette was spinning, the roulette spinning sound would still play even after losing connection.
– In the Active Help entry “Basic Controls”, an incorrect image was displayed when “Controller” was selected. (PlayStation®5/PlayStation®4/Xbox Series X|S)

Battlefield 2042 Update 1.000.074 Applies Patch 8.9.0 Brings Mass Effect Crossover, Weapon Adjustments and More

Even if it’s seasonal content drop has concluded, DICE is still supporting Battlefield 2042 with patches that aim to fix bugs, apply balance changes, and even introduce new cosmetic bundles. On June 17, the studio released Battlefield 2042’s version 8.9.0 patch on consoles and PC, which introduces new cosmetics and various weapon changes.

Console gamers on PS5 and Xbox Series will see this as Battlefield 2042 update 1.000.074, while those on PS4 and Xbox One will see this as BF2042 update version 1.71.

The bundles will be available from June 17 to Jul 1, 2025.

PATCH NOTES

Weapons

After the AN-94 launched earlier this year, it became clear that many of the vault weapons were a bit out of shape. To remedy that, we took on the task to apply some much-needed love, care, and CLP oil to a bunch of them.

After that, we had the (easier) task of breaking half of them, fixing them again, and making sure we could ship them to you.

We wanted to bring vault weapons up to par with similar weapons by increasing the attachment diversity and open up for more ways of playing with them.

Most vault weapons have been given some extra attachments, and many had a few tweaks and fixes done as well.

In this update, we introduce a new type of magazine attachment: the Underloaded Magazine. This is a standard issue mag but with fewer bullets in it, making it faster and easier to handle. The downside is that you have fewer rounds in a mag, of course, meaning you are sacrificing damage output over time for improved weapon handling.

By adding this, we have one more way to play with standard ammo, in addition to the extended mag many of them already have or other ammo types.

ACW-R:

  • Adjusted reload timing, making it faster so it matches the animation of the weapon.
  • Added Underbarrel attachment: BCG Light Grip.
  • dded Magazine attachment: Underloaded Magazine.

A-91:

  • Added Magazine attachment: Underloaded magazine.

M416:

  • Added Muzzle attachment: Shortened barrel (silenced)

AEK-971:

  • Adjusted reload timing making it faster so it matches the animation of the weapon.
  • Adjusted the position of several muzzle attachments slightly to better match the intended placement.

M16A3:

  • Reduced starting ammo from 8 mags down to 5.
    • Developer comment: We’re making this change to bring the weapon more in line with similar Assault Rifles

  • Adjusted PB heavy Suppressor to be a silenced Shortened Barrel instead, giving it higher Rate of Fire but lower Weapon Accuracy instead of better Muzzle Flash Visibility Reduction for worse Effective Range. It is still suppressed and reduces the projectile velocity just as before.
  • Added Magazine attachment: Underloaded Magazine.

Type 88 LMG

  • Adjusted reload timing, making it faster so it matches the animation of the weapon.
  • Increased default ammo capacity to 150 rounds per cassette.
    • Developer comment: This change is meant to buff the weapon and create a bit of a niche for it to stand out versus similar machineguns.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an incorrect foregrip behavior to be used.
  • Added Magazine attachment: Underloaded Cassette.

M240B

  • Added Magazine attachment: Underloaded Cassette.

M60E4

  • Reduced the starting ammo from 5 cassettes to 3
    • Developer comment: This change is meant to bring the M60E4 in line with other similar LMGs.

  • Reduced reload speed when using extended mag.
  • Added Muzzle attachment. Wrapped Suppressor.

General:

  • Fixed an issue where some LMGs weren’t affected by longer reload times when using extended belts/cassettes/magazines.
    • Developer comment: The M240B, M60E4, and Type 88 LMG are most affected by this change and are now in line with weapons using similar attachments.
  • Switching between XM320 and M26 mass frag rounds will no longer break the ammo pool.

Gadgets:

  • Updated AA Missile reload animation when swapping weapons.

RPK-74m:

  • Fixed an issue where the rate of fire was shown as 700 when the actual rate was 720.
    • Developer comment: This is purely a UI update; the fire rate hasn’t been adjusted.

Progression:

  • The lie has been exposed.

Portal:

  • Game modes have been added to Portal:
    • Control
    • Shutdown
    • Strike Team
    • Killswitch
      • Developer comment: We have added several modes with all their maps that the modes support for players to host in Portal. Enjoy!
  • Stadium has been added to Custom Conquest.

Modes:

  • Hazard Zone:
    • Fixed a bug where vehicles could no longer be called in after picking up an Uplink.

Gameplay Flow & Social:

  • Fixed a bug where the inventory HUD would show the wrong attachments equipped on guns when going into the customization screen and customizing your gun for the next spawn, while already spawning in.
  • Fixed an issue where Equip and View Bundle used the same button after purchasing a skin that is part of a bundle.
  • Fixed off-centered icons in the Deploy Screen for certain languages.
  • Fixed a bug where the friends list in-game would show the wrong game mode being played when in the Control game mode.
  • Fixed a bug where the Xbox rich presence would show the wrong game mode when a friend played King of the Hill.
  • Fixed a bug where no indicator on the friends list would show what mode friends were playing, preventing users from clicking and joining them via the friend list.

Even with the new Battlefield looming over the horizon, DICE is still supporting BF2042 and we’re all for it. Once the studio has another update out, we’ll have it up on the site.

The Precinct Update 1.700 for Patch 2 Rounds Up More Bug Fixes

Following the emergency patch released for The Precinct two weeks ago, console gamers should be able to download the game’s second patch, which will show up as version 1.700.

PC players got this download earlier this month, and it’s full of bug fixes and improvements, which include adding a “Restore Previous Save” to the game menu.

The Precinct Patch 2 Available on Consoles as Update 1.700

  • Added a “Restore Previous Save” to the Play Game menu, which appears if a backup save is detected. Only use this if you have experienced lost saves, as it will overwrite your current auto-save with the backup save.
  • Additional fixes for the helicopter patrol
  • Fixed obstacles staying on the road after unlocking the second island
  • Improvements for NPC police officers arrest and escort behaviours
  • Improvements to Kelly navigation and general behaviour
  • Fixed an issue with escort units staying in place after the suspect is arrested
  • Player is no longer taking damage from other police officers
  • Fixed AI staying in place in some cases when an object was destroyed
  • Fixed a number of issues when NPCs were walking away
  • Reduced volume and duration on car alarms
  • Fixed being able to aim while riding the subway
  • Fixed ammo crate UI markers displaying during bank robbery news cutscene
  • Fixed wrong characters displayed if Turkish language pack is installed
  • Fixed issue with Precinct garage doors SFX being significantly out of sync with the animation

MLB The Show 25 Update 1.015 for Patch 15 Adds Updated Player Models and Fixes

San Diego Studio has rolled out MLB The Show 25 update 1.015 on consoles (verison 1.0.71 on Xbox Series), and this adds a lot of new player models, and fixes affecting various modes.

This is significantly bigger than your usual patch for the baseball sim and the complete patch notes are available below.

Stellar Blade Story Is Weak Admits Shift Up and Explains Why; Planned Story DLC Shifted to Sequel Due to Larger Than Expected Scope

While Stellar Blade’s gameplay is some top-notch stuff, the same can’t really be said of the game’s story. As it turns out, it’s not because Shift Up intentionally made it to be not as serious, but due to development and time constraints.

If you’re unfamiliar with Stellar Blade’s story, it’s set in a time when humanity has been driven from Earth by creatures called the Naytiba. Gamers play as Eve, a member of the 7th Airborn Squad, who’s deployed to Earth to reclaim the planet, and is added by two survivors, Adam and Lily.

I mean, it’s not a bad story, but not very original and it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

As it turns out, even Shift Up’s boss admits the game’s story was weak.

In an interview with Korean gaming site ThisIsGame, Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung-hyung and Technical Director Lee Dong-gi was asked about a variety of topics, and this included the game’s story.

The developers were asked about the criticisms that Stellar Blade’s narrative was somewhat lacking, and if the studio has any plans to expand or reinforce the main story in the future.

Hyung-Tae Kim responded (via machine translation), “First of all, I sincerely thank everyone who has shown love for the PC version. I do believe the criticism about the story being weak is valid. The game’s core gameplay systems were completed relatively early, but what really held us back was the cutscenes. In an action game that carries its narrative, cutscenes play a crucial role in storytelling—because it’s hard to convey all of the story through action alone.”

Hyung-Tae Kim continued, “Initially, we had planned a lot of settings and cutscenes to build the narrative. For example, in the early stages of development, we even included detailed story elements like why the protagonist changes her outfit. However, as development progressed, the burden of producing cutscenes became too great. As a result, we had no choice but to cut back on cutscenes that supplemented the world-building and character narratives, excluding the main plot, for efficiency’s sake. That was the only way we could finish the game.”

“Another factor is that, in Korea, the development infrastructure and talent pool for narrative-driven games is still not fully established.”

Taking about the sequel, Kim mentioned that they believe this time around, they’ll be able to offer a deeper narrative, explaining “It’s true that there were shortcomings in the narrative, and we’re cautious about trying to patch that up hastily in Stellar Blade now, as it could conflict with the story that players have already accepted. However, if we are given the opportunity to develop a sequel, I believe we’ll be able to present it with a much richer and more complete narrative.”

In the same interview, the studio CEO was asked whether the story of how the initially planned story DLC had been turned into a full sequel was true, and whether it could really meet its targeted 2027 release.

Kim confirmed it, stating, “Did we officially announce that? That must’ve been a mistake by our IR team. Yes, it’s true. While preparing the DLC, the scope grew larger than expected, so we shifted our focus toward developing it as a full sequel. However, a lot has changed since then.”

However, temper expectations, as given the PC version just got released, they’re still in the R&D phase. “Because all of our resources were focused on the PC version, I can’t say that much progress has been made on the sequel yet. Right now, we’re in a phase of deep R&D, asking ourselves, “How can we present a vision for the next generation?”

Kim added, “To be honest, we’ve only just wrapped up the PC release following the PlayStation version—so now is when we can finally start proper R&D. Releasing it in 2027 would be fantastic, but with only three years left, all I can say is that we’ll try our best. What I can promise, though, is that it will be a great game.”

Given Kim’s statement and the fact that Stellar Blade 2 is still in the R&D phase, it’s not surprising to see its planned 2027 release date get pushed back. Don’t expect any story DLC as well given it is part of the sequel now, though perhaps we’ll get more content drops like the NieR and NIKKE crossovers in the future? I wouldn’t count those out since they’re smaller pieces of content compared to story DLC.

Developer’s Comment: 

Regarding the visual effect (light beam) for consumable discovery, we received feedback that the actual item received felt underwhelming compared to the grade speculated based on this visual effect. 

To improve the sense of reward and resolve the mismatch between item grade and perceived value, we’ve adjusted the grade of select consumables. 

These changes do not affect the item’s drop location or spawn rate. 

The grade of certain consumables will be adjusted to better reflect their reward value.

With these changes, the color of the visual effect displayed upon discovering consumables will also be updated accordingly.

  • You can save your current skill tree as a preset or load a previously saved one.

    • The following data is saved in Skill Presets:
      • Skill Tree: Acquired skills and their levels on all pages, skill activation status, and equipped Spirit Skill status

These are major bug fixes from this update that directly affect gameplay.

Common

  • Fixed an issue where unnatural text would display upon reaching the cap for Mastery Level and EXP after first completing the main mission, “Imperial Palace.”
  • Fixed an issue where after completing certain bonus missions, Khazan had to die to proceed to the next phase upon returning to the Crevice (Mortal World).
  • Fixed an issue where input was delayed when using Brutal Attack on Hismar during a boss battle.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage of the finishing blow when using the Dual Wield skill “Gale: Doom” would not increase according to the number of times “Howling Blade” was used.
  • Fixed an issue where the challenge “Standing Alone” would be achieved when continuing the game after quitting during a specific section.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would become fixed and unresponsive when the Token Exchange Shop was used repeatedly.
  • Fixed an issue where the region name would not display when approaching the Blade Nexus.

Improvements

  • Improved an issue where progressing through the main mission, “Imperial Palace,” became impossible if the character died after activating the rotating elevator or exited the elevator while it was rotating.
  • You can now resume the mission by resetting the elevator using the lever located outside the rotating platform.
  • Improved certain sections in the bonus mission “The Vow” where graphics were being displayed unnaturally.
  • In Settings > Menu, the description panel on the right side now supports scrolling if text or images exceed the display area.

Ark Survival Ascended Update 1.067.008 Released on June 15

Studio Wildcard has released a new Ark Survival Ascended patch, which should be version 1.067.008 for console players. This is a minor patch that aims to improve game animations and other issues.

PC players have gotten a few updates before this was released, and we’ve included the changes made there for reference.

Here’s what’s new per the Ark Disord server, which mentions the patch today is for PS5.

Fixes

  • Animation optimization,
  • Now clears mods if multiple versions of the same mod are installed. Players will need to reinstall the affected mod when this occurs.,,
  • Note: All DLCs will require updating along with the client so if you experience crashes, please check again for the automatic DLC updates.,

This patch was released a few days ago on PC, and had the same changelog. Some of the other fixes implemented on all platforms include:

  • Server will no longer boot if it is set as crossplay and a PC only mod is enabled.
  • Fixed a crash.
  • Fixed an Exploit.

Earlier this month, Studio Wildcarrd released the big Lemnokis content drop, which added a significant number of new features.

Wuthering Waves Update 2.400.002 Released on PS5 to Fix Login Issues

Kuro Games has released a new Wuthering Waves update on PS5, which should be version 2.400.002 for gamers. Given we just got the big 2.4 content drop last week, it’s understandable if today’s update is aimed for fixes only.

If the game receives new content, expect it to be released simultaneously on all platforms.

The Wuthering Waves patch for PS5 released on June 15 is mostly aimed at issues that surfaced from the 2.4 patch roll out.

Wuthering Waves PS5 Login Issues Sorted in Patch 2.400.002

The issue that surfaced recently for PS5 players is that they couldn’t login normally, and even caused crashing issues after telpeorting tot he Septimont area, which ended making subsequent logins impossible.

Today, Kuro Games announced, “You can now log into the game normally via PS5. We will publish a more detailed explanation of the issue in an upcoming in-game announcement and offer compensation to users affected previously.”

As you can see, compensation is planned for affected gamers, although details about it have not been disclosed as of press time.  In any case, Wuthering Waves PS5 players can at least play the game normally now, without any crashing concerns and whatnot.

This Fan-Made Battlefield 6 Trailer From Leaked Gameplay Reminds You How Awesome the Franchise Is

It’s June but publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has still kept the new Battlefield game under wraps. While the game is currently being tested in Battlefield Labs, we don’t even know the official title of it, hence why’re we’re referring to it as Battlefield 6.

Not only has there been no announcement of the game’s official title, but we also don’t have a proper trailer for it outside of the initial one for Battlefield Labs. With this in mind, one fan decided to take it upon themselves to remedy this by creating their own Battlefield 6 trailer, using footage captured from Battlefield Labs.

As one might expect, this is in no way official, but it will certainly get the blood pumping of Battlefield vets.

EA has sent a takedown request via Google of the video, which MP1st is complying to. It’s still up on Reddit though.

The trailer is from the Telegram BF1 leaker channel from a user named Echosxc.

With the familiar Battlefield theme blaring throughout the trailer, it evokes that feeling of all-out carnage that only the franchise can bring. This is where Battlefield excels that not even Call of Duty can touch it.

Seeing the destruction, vehicular warfare and more all meld into one will remind you of “Battlefield Moments” and how Battlefield 6 will be a new home of these said moments.

With EA promising a summer global reveal for the game, we’re expecting it sometime this month, though the publisher hasn’t given a timeframe when outside of summer. Perhaps we’ll receive an announcement of a Battlefield event that’ll air soon? With gamescom looming in the horizon, that might be the best time to announce a release date or a beta if the shooter is released this year.

Even if it hasn’t been officially announced, a ton of info has surfaced thanks to leaked footage.We also have a good amount of info about the console version of the game thanks to testers who were willing to share info about it.

Lords of the Fallen Secret Classes Reset Bug Affecting Players, as New Update 1.077 Doesn’t Seem to Resolve It

Just the other day, HexWorks released patch v2.0.29 for Lords of the Fallen that was aimed to improve stuttering, PvP matchmaking and more. Unfortunately, this patch has also introduced a major bug in the form of secret classes that players can obtain by beating the game with different endings appearing as locked or reset.

On June 14, HexWorks released Lords of the Fallen update 1.077, and while one would assume this fixes the issue, it hasn’t — at least on PC.

In case you aren’t familiar with the bug, beating the game with different endings and quests will enable players to obtain the Clash of Dark Crusader, the Radiant Purifier, and the Putrid Child classes, which can then be used in a new game run. Unfortunately, the new patch broke something that meant the classes couldn’t be accessed from a new game slot.

While HexWorks hasn’t mentioned anything about today’s patch, players on PC have confirmed that this new patch doesn’t fix the issue. We cannot verify if this is the case for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions (if you can, please chime in down in the comments).

For now, it’s a mystery what today’s patch does. It’s possible that HexWorks aimed to fix the class reset bug, but it didn’t work? Whatever it is, we’re hoping an actual fix is rolled out soon. Given the studio’s commitment to the game, we’re expecting that to happen sooner rather than later.

Lords of the Fallen 2 is in development and is expected to be released in 2026, unless it is delayed.

Report: Sony Removing Country Restrictions to PlayStation Steam Games

In what could be good news for PC gamers worldwide, Sony appears to be revisiting its country restrictions for games released under the PlayStation banner. Yes, this means that games previously region-locked are now available for purchase, though not every country’s region lock has been removed.

Initially, we saw it happen with the recent release of Stellar Blade; we can confirm it’s now the same case for some other games under the PlayStation Studios banner, too.

However, it doesn’t seem to apply to every game, though we’re unsure if this is a rolling update or if Sony intentionally chose a set of games that won’t be blocked by country restrictions.

Sony Lifting Region-Lock From PlayStation PC Games

With Stellar Blade’s region-lock lifted, Sony has also silently done the same for God of War Ragnarok (thanks, Kami!). We then checked the other PlayStation games have their region lock removed:

  • Helldivers 2
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
  • The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

Oddly enough, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had its region lock removed and then added back again. We’re unsure whether this was a mistake on Sony’s part or intentional. It seems it’s the newer games that got the backend update, though we’re hoping older PlayStation games like Returnal get it. Based on our findings, any title released before Helldivers 2 didn’t get a region -lock update.

What’s odd here is why Sony chose to do this silently. I mean, isn’t this something you’d want everyone to know? Perhaps we’ll get a formal announcement soon. We’ve reached out to Sony for a statement about it, and if we hear anything back, we’ll update the article.

It’s a far cry from last year’s Helldivers 2 fiasco, when Sony initially wanted PC players to sign up for a PlayStation Network account if they wanted to play the multiplayer action game. After a major backlash, Sony backed down, and everyone was happy once again. From requiring a PSN account to now lifting region-locks, that’s a significant turnaround in game ownership policy, and is something we highly approve of.

Let’s hope this is the new normal for PlayStation PC releases moving forward.

Dune Awakening Update for June 13 Released to Address Server Issues

Funcom has released a new Dune Awakening update on PC, effective June 13. This is a minor patch primarily focused on stability improvements. If you were having issues connecting to the servers, or experiencing very high pings, it’s, not just you.

While servers should be stable by the time you read this, the Dune Awakening connection issues persisted for a few hours today, affecting gamers worldwide.

Dune Awakening Gets a Client Patch to Address Server Issues

The announcement from the developers regarding the late patch roll out mention, “We will be deploying another hotfix Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 12:30 AM CEST in 20 minutes. This is to help address server instability seen today.”

This was followed up by another announcement, “The update is now available and servers are back online. If you already have Dune: Awakening open, you will need to close the application to let it update. If you do not see an update available, you may need to restart Steam. Thank you for your patience, Sleepers!”

So far, there has been no mention of any gameplay changes made, but if we spot any, we’ll update the article with the info.

If you’re looking forward to Dune Awakening on consoles, that might be a long wait, as the developers haven’t said anything about it except that it’ll be released in 2026. If for some reason you’ve seen this article and confused what the new Dune game is all about, Funcom describes it as “Dune: Awakening is an open world, multiplayer survival game on a massive scale”

Black Ops 7 Preliminary Weapons List Unearthed via COD HQ

While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was recently revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase, its existence wasn’t a complete secret, as files for the game were spotted in Call of Duty HQ and had been leaked as far back as eight months ago.

Not only that, but some of the game’s pertinent information has also made its way out. In this instance, it’s the game’s weapons list.

Please note that the information below is from datamined sources and is not official.

Black Ops 7 Game FIles Are Already in Call of Duty HQ

Reliable dataminer COD Warfare has shared the Black Ops 7 weapons strings spotted in the game’s files. Mind, this could be placeholer files, meaning they could be outdated, replaced and so on. These were datamined given how all the Call of Duty games are shared within one app, which is Call of Duty HQ for consoles and PC.

However, with a few months to go before release, it is likely that these are the weapons that will be available on launch day. Check out the data strings and the number of weapons that have been identified so far.

In total, there 26 weapons spotted in the game’s files pertaining to Black Ops 7, with the breakdown as follows:

  • 4 x Assault Rifles
  • 6 x SMGs
  • 3 x Shotguns
  • 2 x LMGs
  • 3 x Marksmen Rifles
  • 3 x Snipers
  • 5 x pistols

While there’s a chance Treyarch can add more (or remove some) guns from the list, that seems like a solid start, If submachine guns really out number asssault rifles, then that might be a first. With wallrunning also datamined for Black Ops 7, seeing a lot of SMGs in the game makes sense given the more run-and-gun approach this movement mechanic gives to players.

Expect more Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 leaks to surface in the coming weeks and months, a trend that has occurred every year.

More details about Black Ops 7 will be revealed soon according to Activision, so stay tuned.

Resident Evil Requiem First Story and Character Details Revealed

After this past weekend’s reveal of Resident Evil 9, which is now officially known as Resident Evil Requiem, a lot of questions remain unanswered. While we have no doubt Capcom will keep the mystery alive by not revealing everything at once about the upcoming horror game, we should also expect a tricle of information to be shared once in a while.

Today, that changes a bit, as the company has shared our first story details about Resident Evil Requiem.

Resident Evil Requiem First Official Story, Grace Ashcroft Details Shared by Capcom

Capcom has updated the official Resident Evil website’s Requiem portal, and have added info on the game’s story, Grace Ashcroft and more. It might not be anything groundbreaking, but it is new info to chew on nonetheless.

Story

Everything is set in motion when a body—the victim of an unidentifiable disease—is discovered in an abandoned hotel.

FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft is assigned to the case. But the crime scene is at the very same hotel where her mother died eight years ago.

Grace prepares to finally face the past and makes her way to the scene, but this one case leads to uncovering the hidden truth behind the outbreak in Raccoon City, the biological disaster that shook the world.

Will this be the requiem that finally lays the memories of that abhorrent disaster to rest?

An intelligence analyst for the FBI who demonstrates intense focus and insight in deductive reasoning and analysis.
Her mother’s death shook her to the soul, making her an introvert who immerses herself in work.

Gameplay

Experience the series’ classic survival horror through combat, investigations, puzzles, and resource management. Gameplay allows you to freely switch between first and third-person views to face the horrors in a way that suits your playstyle.

Based on the story premise, Grace Ashcroft is the main character, although rumors suggest a familiar face will play a significant role in the game as well. Capcom is likely keeping things close to its chest, so expect many surprises to be revealed in the coming weeks and months leading up to the release.

Resident Evil Requiem is set for release on Feb. 27, 2026, on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The First Post-Release MindsEye Update Version 1.005 Applies Performance Improvements via Hotfix #1

Build a Rocket Boy has released hte first post-release patch for action game MindsEye, which is something players have been looking forward to due to the game’s technical issues. Console players should see this as MindsEye update 1.005, and this is what the studio calls Hotfix #1.

Given this is a hotfix more than anything else, there’s not a lot of changes made when it comes to gameplay improvements. However, there are important technical improvements made, and this fixes the memory leak issues some have been experiencing.

MindsEye First Update 1.005 Is for Hotfix #1 and Here’s What Got Fixed

Patch Size:

  • PC: 5.7GB
  • PS5: 2GB
  • Xbox: 4GB

PATCH NOTES:

ALL PLATFORMS:

  • CPU and GPU performance improvements, along with memory optimizations
  • Reduced difficulty for the CPR mini-game
  • Added a new setting to disable or modify Depth of Field
  • Fixed missing controls in the MineHunter and Run Dungeon mini-games

PC:

  • New pop-up warnings for PCs that have Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling disabled, and PCs with CPUs that have potential crash issues

Please note: This patch also fixes the memory leak issue that has been causing most crashes reported by players. Performance optimisation is our number one focus and an ongoing commitment that will take further time.

The next patch rollout is due in a few days’ time, and will be for Hotfix #2, and will tackle the following issues:

  • Continuous incremental performance and stability improvements
  • Fix for the buggy wheels not visually spinning while driving
  • Fix for areas in Car Manufacturing where players could fall through the world

There’s also a big update planned for consoles and PC set to be released by the end of June. Once the studio releases an update, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Vampire Survivors Update 1.013.113 Released, as Devs Acknowledge Low Memory Issues Affecting PS4, PS5

Developer poncle has rolled out Vampire Survivors update 1.013.113 on PS5.  This doesn’t bring in any new content, but it aims to address bugs and hopefully, the crashing issues happening on PlayStation platforms.

Vampire Survivors Update for June 12 Is Only for Current-Gen

Oddly enough, today’s update is only available on the PS5. The PS4 version hasn’t been updated and is still at version 1.15, which was released three weeks ago.

The developers haven’t said anything about today’s patch, but did talk about the low memory issues affecting the PS4 and PS5 versions on the game’s Discord server.

Per the devs, “A patch to fix PS4 crashes due to low memory is in the works, a combination of a memory leak in the engine version we’re using and the discontinuation of support for older safe versions is forcing us to upgrade the engine version, which unfortunately will take some time as this isn’t a quick fix.”

The latest changelog released for bug fixes was for the PC version on May 28, which was called the version 1.13.112 hotfix. Dave Bautista Enters Game Development With Cat Assassin Game; Working Alongside “Stray” Writer

Former pro wrestler Dave “Batista” Bautista transitioned from the WWE to acting and is now wearing a new cap, as he has also entering game development through his production company, Dogbone Entertainment.

The game is Cat Assassin, and it is being groomed to become a media franchise brought to life by Steve Lerner, the writer behind the cat-loving indie hit Stray.

The project is in its early days, but the general direction has been shared.

Cat Assassin Project Headed by Dave Bautista and the Writer of Stray

Details about Cat Assassin and what direction its headed has been shared (via Game Rant). In Cat Assassin, the planned media franchise will transport players into a perilous neo-noir world populated by anthropomorphic cats. Players will be put into the role of a skilled assassin named Hugh who must navigate the dangerous world shaped by the cartels, power brokers and other hazardous elements in the city.

Taking charge in shaping the world is Steve Lerner, the writer behind the indie smash hit, Stray, which also featured a cat-centric protagonist. Bautista isn’t part of the project for publicity’s sake, either, as it’ll be the actor’s creative vision that’ll be brought to life. Bautista is, of course, most popularly known as Batista in the WWE, before pursuing acting full-time, and has since gained popularity playing Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as appearing in movies like Dune 2, Knock at the Cabin, and more.

The gameplay is described as stealth-action, drawing inspiration from games like the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Splinter Cell, Sifu, and, notably, Stray. It’s also described as having a blend of humor, action, and stealth, so players won’t get bogged down by an overly serious tone all throughout the experience.

Canada-based Titan1Studios is developing the game in collaboration with Dogbone. The project isn’t just meant as a game; Cat Assassin is planned to be a multimedia property, featuring an animated series, film, and a series of video games.

There are a ton of details left to be shared for Cat Assassin, and if its quality is anything close to Stray, then fans of action games (not just cats) have one game they might want to keep on their radar.

New Battlefield Game’s Gadgets Shown Off via BF Labs

While we’ve already seen countless gameplay of the new Battlefield game via Battlefield Labs, one thing we havent’ seen a lot of is the game’s gadgets. That changes today. One BF Labs player from China has recorded every gadget available in BF Labs.

Before watching, it’s important to note that given the game is being tested in BF Labs, there is a chance that some of the gadgets will be changed or removed from the final version of the game. Not only that, but DICE could be adding more before launch as well.

Battlefield Game Gadgets From BF Labs

We”re almost to the midpoint of June, and EA hasn’t announced any event or revealed the new Battlefield game yet. We’re hoping to happens this month, though the publisher only confirmed they are doing so in the summer.

The new Battlefield game has no release date yet, though EA has confirmed we’ll see it before March 2026.
