Doug Cockle, the English voice of Geralt in The Witcher series, has apparently gotten into trouble after comments he made about the upcoming game in August.
CD Projekt RED Responds to Doug Cockle for Saying Geralt Will Be in The Witcher 4
However, CD Projekt RED is far from pleased with the actor’s statement, as the company has not officially confirmed anything about Geralt’s role in The Witcher 4.
Earlier, Cockle had hinted that Geralt might appear in some way in the next game. However, during his appearance at MCM Comic Con in Birmingham, he backtracked and said he has no idea what will happen to Geralt in the new game.
I did go online and say something about it, and then I got slapped by CD Projekt because I didn’t know how true it was. I went off a rumor; I thought I’d seen someone from CD Projekt say that Geralt would be in The Witcher 4, but he wouldn’t be the main character. Now, I’m not sure if that’s true because they came back and told me, ‘We haven’t put anything out there, don’t say anything.’ So the truth is, the answer to your question is, I don’t know what it’s going to be. I had an idea of what it was, but then I was basically told, ‘We haven’t told anybody what it is, so where you got that information, we don’t know.’
While this doesn’t confirm or deny Geralt’s role in the game, it shows that the voice actor shouldn’t have shared unverified information with such confidence. Because of his connection to the game’s creators, his words were taken as credible, making the situation more complicated.

As we reported yesterday, Rocksteady’s Season 4: Episode 7 patch for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be the game’s final content drop. While servers will remain active, the game will not have any new major pieces of content released outside today due to the game’s lackluster commercial performance
In terms of new content, the title update released this December 10 brings Deathstroke to the roster, and also, the addition of an offline mode. With this feature, players will be able to enjoy the game even if the servers get pulled.
Episode 8 of Season 4 will be released sometime in January 2025, though don’t expect anything major from this, as that patch will be the last one planned for the game. We’d love to be proven wrong though.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ‘s Final Content Drop Arrives in Update 1.021
Deathstroke
Though few who meet him live to talk about it, you might recognize the newest playable character: Deathstroke, available December 10 when Season 4 Episode 7 releases. Also known as Slade Wilson, Deathstroke is a cold-blooded mercenary and one the world’s deadliest assassins. As a tactical genius armed with unparalleled swordsmanship, and a few extra toys thanks to a deal with A.R.G.U.S., Deathstroke is a one-man-army with a single objective: put an end to Brainiac’s invasion once and for all.
Being a master strategist, swordsman, and sharpshooter, Deathstroke can tackle an engagement in any number of ways, and this is reflected in the three playstyles of his Talents: Assassin, Mercenary and Strategist.
Assassin turns Deathstroke into the ultimate duelist, amping up the power of his Melee Strikes, Shield Harvesting, and Suicide Strikes. The Blood Splatter Talent causes Melee Kills to make all nearby enemies bleed, losing a percentage of their health over time, whilst Sowing Dissent gives all Melee Hits a 50% chance to craze enemies. Combo these with Deathstroke’s incredibly agile style of traversal and you can be dodging in and out of groups of enemies, leaving them isolated and confused before you move onto your next target.
Mercenary powers up Deathstroke’s Firearms, Grenades, and Traversal Attacks to the point where he could even give Deadshot a run for his money. Muscle Memory increases your Critical Hit damage by 50% and makes Critical Kills instantly reload your Firearm, so after a little synergizing with the rest of the loadout, once the bullets start coming, they won’t stop. Air Power causes Airborne Kills to generate 10% Traversal Attack Resource, so if you can manage to stay up in the sky, you’ll be sure to put your enemies in the dirt.
Strategist is about afflicting and weakening your enemies, softening them up before you go in for the kill. Bio-Warfare causes Critical Kills on Afflicted enemies to spread the Affliction to all nearby enemies, while Electro-Shot empowers your Shotguns with Electrifying shells after a Critical Reload. Strategist also improves your fluidity of combat, with Talents like the insanely fun One Smooth Motion that causes you to instantly reload when Ground Bouncing or Ground Sliding.
Medieval Twin
This Elseworld completely reconceives Superman’s hometown of Smallville as a medieval village, completely stripped of the advanced technology that empowers the modern day Justice League. While fighting against Brainiac during Incursions, you’ll be able to see the remnants of the locals’ battle against Brainiac, windmills and homes from a complete medieval village, and even the Hall of Justice reimagined as a feudal castle.
Offline Mode
Offline mode will allow players to experience content released for the game, including the main story campaign and all seasonal story mission content, without an internet connection.
To access Offline mode, you can either create a new profile by starting from the beginning of the game or create a copy of your existing Online profile, allowing you to jump in with all of your progress. All earned and purchased cosmetics will also be available in Offline mode.
New Notorious Items in Season 4 Episode 7:
Brain’s Teaser – This weapon does extra damage to Afflicted enemies and, as an Alt-Fire, gains a powerful bonus effect depending on the Affliction of the enemy killed. Kill an Electrified enemy to get half your Suicide Strike resource back or kill a burning opponent to burn all other enemies nearby.
Turtle’s Still Force Focus – Offering you bonus damage and damage reduction for each second you spend standing still.
Talia Al Ghul’s Punisher – Each enemy hit by this Firearm gains a stack of Assassinate, which increases the damage they take on the next Melee hit by 100%.
Orphan’s Heartseeker (melee) – Whenever you hit an enemy with Orphan’s Heartseeker, you apply a mark to their heart, signalling that their end is near. Upon your next Suicide Strike, all nearby enemies will take a portion of the damage, and any marked enemies will become Electrified, no matter where they are
That’s about it. If there are any gameplay-related changes, we’ll add them to the article once Rocksteady makes them public. While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s content flow might be stopping, Rocksteady’s work isn’t, as the studio is rumored to be working on a new Batman game.
Fatshark has released a new update for Warhammer 40K: Darktide today and this is patch 1.6.2. For console players, this is update version 1.063.271 and it’s hotfix number 55. Several audio and cosmetic fixes are in store for those who download today’s update.
Bug Fixes Galore in Warhammer 40K: Darktide Update 1.063.271
Audio Fixes
Fixed an issue that caused audio stutter and performance degradation when using virtual surround functionality on Console and PC (e.g. the audio crackling).
Merged fixes for the audio stutter and stall issues that were first introduced in the “Path of Redemption” update. These were made much worse recently with the issue introduced in 1.6.1. These specific fixes were the ones we tested on the experimental branch on Steam.
Fixed priorities for file reader queues, meaning audio will have higher priority than other file reads.
[Audio System] Removed code for cancelling a read request since it could stall/deadlock for some users.
[Audio System] Made “open” and “cancel” async so the audio thread is NOT blocked if open is slow.
Improved reporting of stalls.
Proper initialization of BypassIO support for direct storage. We are now checking properly for Win11, NVMe and NTFS in order to support it.
Deadlock detection for all platforms (Previously only active on PC).
General Fixes
Fixed an issue where the “Purging Flame” Penance didn’t increment correctly.
New items marker now properly shows in the inventory for emotes.
Fixed a crash which could occur when a cosmetics vendor UI got forcibly closed (e.g. while browsing cosmetics in the Commissary asa mission was about to start).
Fixed an issue where the Penance icons for the Dark Communion mission used a fallback icon.
Fixed an issue where the Heat UI indicator for the Munitorum Mk X Relic Blade remained displayed also when the weapon was not wielded.
Fixed an issue where some visual effects were missing for the Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade.
Fixed an issue where the Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade had an incorrect chain-timing from Block to Special activate/deactivate. Chain-time has now been changed from 0.68 to 0.35.
Fixed an issue where the Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade played the incorrect Special activate animation when activating the weapon after performing a Push follow-up attack.
Fixed an issue where equipping the Munitorum Mk X Relic Blade or Munitorum Mk II Relic Blade in the Inventory applied an offset on other weapon animations when switching between weapons and loadouts.
Havoc Fixes
Players on the Mourningstar that are stuck with an ongoing Havoc mission can now cancel it from the Havoc terminal, at the expense of a deployment charge.
If a player cancels an ongoing deployment and no more attempts remain, the player will get demoted One Assignment Rank and get a new assignment.
Dev Note:Cancelling a Havoc deployment will provide a refund of the charge used to start the Assignment if it’s done in the first 60 seconds of attempting to start a deployment. Afterwards, a player will not receive a refund for the charge spent.
Players can demote an Assignment Rank to get a new Assignment that is one rank lower.
Havoc mission participants now appear on the Havoc menu when a player starts a mission session. No participants outside of that list can be in the party for the mission to take place.
Updated the “Cry Havoc!” event text to fully match properly across all languages.
Fixed remaining overlapping text in multiple languages in the Havoc menu.
Unobtained Havoc cosmetic items will now show up in the corresponding list in the Cosmetics menu.
Cosmetic Fixes
Fixed the Veteran “Lucius Mk IV Death’s Head with a Skull Mask (Krieg 143rd).” headgear cosmetic being incorrectly assigned another name.
Fixed an issue where the cosmetic item rewards from an event would not show up in the Inventory until after logging out and back in again.
When the next update arrives, our readers will be the first to know about it.
A lawsuit settlement won by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has forced Epic Games to issue millions of dollars in refunds to numerous Fortnite players who made accidental in-game purchases.
The FTC has secured a refund of over $72 million, which will be distributed to approximately 629,000 players who requested compensation following a class action that emerged in 2022.
The settlement concludes a lawsuit in which the FTC found Epic Games guilty of “unlawful billing practices” that led players to make unintended purchases through Fortnite microtransactions.
The 2022 lawsuit, filed by the FTC, accused Epic Games of violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), with the court ruling in favor of the Commission.
The lawsuit alleged that Epic Games used “dark patterns”—design tricks intended to manipulate users—causing millions of players to make purchases they didn’t intend to.
Players who qualify for compensation can receive an average of $114, provided they submit a request via the online form currently available. Eligible players will need to demonstrate that they meet the requirements specified in the case.
How to Apply for a Refund in Fortnite
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, the process is straightforward. You can apply online at www.fortniterefund.com/file-a-claim. To file a claim, you will need either a claim number or your Epic Account ID. If you haven’t received an email containing a claim number, you can easily find your Epic Account ID by following the instructions provided on the website.
Currently, the refund process is only available to Fortnite players in the United States. Epic Games has not yet extended this offer to international players, but further announcements may follow in the future.
Players interested in receiving compensation must submit their claims by January 10, 2025. Be sure to file your claim well before the deadline to ensure you don’t miss out on the refund.
Patch 5.0 has been released for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and this is update 1.005.000 for console players. Players can expect to see the Dark Angels Chapter Pack featuring a new operation and the new Tzaangor Enlightened enemy type. Read on for the full details down below.
Space Marine 2 Update 1.005 Includes New Missions and a New Enemy Type
In this new Operation, you’ll be sent to Demerium and your mission is to rotate a replica of the obelisk to disrupt the flow of energy protecting the Aurora device. This operation takes place in parallel to the final events of the campaign.
To reach the console control of the obelisk, you’ll have to make it through a tomb plunged into darkness.
New Enemy: Tzaangor Enlightened
A new Majoris enemy can spawn in all Operations featuring the Thousand Sons.
Note from our Game Director: “The Tzaangor Enlightened is a disk-flying, melee/ranged-hybrid unit. They are fearsome opponents, especially when met in greater numbers. However, catching them after parry or during a long animation makes them an easy target.
We strongly advise you to use Target Lock to face this enemy!”
New Season Pass Content: Dark Angels Chapter Pack
Added: Dark Angels Successor Chapters cosmetics
Added: Dark Angels Champion skin (Bulwark)
Added: Dark Angels–themed weapon skins for:
Auto Bolt Rifle
Plasma Pistol
Power Sword
Bulwark’s Storm Shield
GAMEPLAY & BALANCING TWEAKS
Melee
Note from our Game Director: “The melee system has been our main focus recently. The issue that we saw is that, on higher difficulties, the melee combat relied too heavily on the “Parry -> Gun Strike” flow. This also made Fencing Melee Weapons a universal choice for almost all situations, and we want to give players more options. To try and achieve that, we’ve made the following changes.
First, normal Melee Damage has increased across the board, so there will be more options instead of just Parry -> Gun Strike.
Second, we are drastically changing how Blocking Weapons work. In short, by blocking enemy attacks, the player will accumulate up to 3 stacks of Melee Damage buffs. Attacking while having those stacks of buffs will spend them and will result in massive AoE Damage discharge.
With these changes, Fencing Weapons will still be great versus limited numbers of enemies, Balanced Weapons will be good versus big crowds, and Blocking Weapons will become ‘damage dealer’ type weapons.”
Perfect Block
All Block Weapons have been reworked with a new mechanic: Perfect Block and Adrenaline Surge Perfectly timed blocks grant up to 3 Adrenaline Surge stacks. Adrenaline Surge stacks greatly increase Melee Damage and are consumed after the next melee attack.
Attacking with 3 stacks of Adrenaline Surge deals massive AoE Damage, staggers enemies, and restores 1 Armour Segment.
Note from our Game Director: “We are quite happy with recent updates to firearms. Pretty much all firearms are viable on the hardest difficulties now, and our win rate/pick rate data shows drastic improvements.
Still, there are a few weapons that are better than the others, and minor tweaks will be coming with Patch 6.
Further into the future, with Patch 7, we are planning to focus on reworking Weapons Perks. Weapons Perks are underwhelming compared to Class Perks right now, and the issues with some weapons are actually a result of them having a bad Perk tree rather than their basic stats.
The other big outstanding problem that we have is the Grenade Launcher. There are quite a few bugs/misconfigurations that make it the way it is.
Due to a bug, a certain Perk restores its full Ammo when it shouldn’t.
Due to a misconfiguration on our side, its Artificer and Relic versions deal 4x more damage than the Master-crafted version, which was not intended.
Due to a bug, Perks that increase Auspex Scan damage stack buffs inconsistently. Normally all damage stacks buffs additively, thus providing consistent and predictable results. This bug results in crazy damage numbers with Auspex Scan Perks depending on the order they were activated. This is why bosses get erased by Grenade Launchers with certain builds.
If we approach this directly and fix all 3 bugs, it will make the Grenade Launcher useless and will hurt the entire Tactical class. We will be very careful with how we address this issue. We do want to keep the fun element of destroying entire waves of enemies with the Grenade Launcher. At the same time, no other weapon can match a Grenade Launcher with potentially unlimited Ammo.
Because of these complications, we want to take the time to carefully analyse and make the best decision possible about the Grenade Launcher, so we’re not modifying it in this patch.”
Neo-Volkite Pistol
Note from our Game Director: “We unified enemy sensitivity to Volkite Damage with Bolter Damage. This means a massive damage buff to certain Majoris and Extremis enemies that were more resistant to Volkite Damage than others.”
Volkite Damage sensitivity has been increased from 1 to 1.5 for these enemies:
Devourer Tyranid Warrior
Barbed Strangler Tyranid Warrior
Venom Cannon Tyranid Warrior
Rubric Marine
Flamer Rubric Marine
Zoanthrope
Bolt Carbine:
Max Ammo of all SMG-type Bolt Carbines increased by 1 magazine
EXTERMINATION BONUS
Note from our Game Director: “This change simply increases the amount of XP players are getting in Operations mode if they are zealously exterminating enemy waves.
This aims to:
incentivise players to not skip encounters, without punishing those who want to skip, and
makes the game less grindy in preparation for new features coming down the line (e.g., Prestige Ranks).”
Added a new feature that increases the amount of XP players gain based on % of enemies killed during an Operation:
Rank A: killing more than 85% spawned enemies grants +120% XP pre-patch value.
Rank B: killing more than 60% spawned enemies grants +110% XP pre-patch value.
Rank C: killing less than 60% spawned enemies grants +100% XP pre-patch value.
*The rank is common to the party, everyone gets the same.
GAMEPLAY QOL
Dodge invulnerability logic is now client sided, meaning that Dodges will be responsive and more accurate with higher ping.
Players are now invulnerable to new instances of damage while in Knockback animation.
Added 10 frames of invulnerability at the start of Jump Pack launch animation (Campaign and Operations only).
Dodge and Parry sound notification clarity has been greatly improved.
Heavy’s Barrier can be activated in more player states (e.g., during stagger animation).
Player controls are slightly more responsive after using Vanguard’s Grapnel Launcher.
Added spawn protection in PvP.
Added Neo-Volkite Pistol in PvP.
AI
Zoanthrope:
Shielded Zoanthrope will now attack much less frequently.
Enemy Spawn Director:
You will no longer fight Extremis-level enemies on your first encounter right after the start of a Mission.
Lots of minor animation fixes for various enemies.
CUSTOMISATION
Added: Lenses colour customisation.
Fixed shading of Balthasar Gold and Ushabti Bone colours.
Fixed a number of small bugs with certain armour pieces not applying colours correctly.
OPERATIONS
Fall of Atreus:
Made adjustments to scripting to make this level shorter and more in line with the duration of other levels:
The second sequence with the Dreadnought (Repel the Assault) is randomised now and may not happen.
The fusion battery needs to be charged only once in the final sequence.
Large amounts of small fixes in level geometry collision and Terminus enemies getting stuck in some areas.
PERKS
Note from our Game Director: “In this patch, we are only fixing bugs with existing Perks, but trust me, we are seeing the issues with them. A lot of the Class Perks are not as good as we wanted them to be, and some Perk tree choices are really more efficient than others. With Patch 6, we are planning to massively rework a bunch of lacking Perks to make more builds viable.”
GENERAL FIXES
Getting kicked out of a session will still grant kicked player XP rewards based on checkpoint completion.
Exiting the Turret Charging Wheel in the “Termination” Operation is now quicker.
Improved a few enemies counting for Purge Them All Achievement.
Fixed a bug where Combat Knife charged attacks would occasionally Heavy Hit every time without charging.
Fixed a bug where Heavy’s Primary Weapon was not shooting after joining in progress.
Fixed a bug where party leader could get stuck on a loading screen in rare cases.
Fixed Hierophant’s damage sensitivity to certain weapons (it can still be damaged by normal weapons, but the damage is reduced).
Fixed a bug where Heldrake was not taking any damage from shots in rare cases.
Fixed a bug where Heldrake could be knocked off its pedestal by shots from an under-barrel Grenade Launcher.
Fixed a bug where Imurah would not take any damage from shots in the final mission in rare cases.
Fixed a rare bug where players were shown a long black screen instead of death screen in PvP.
Fixed a bug where players could not see each other’s customisation in rare cases.
Fixed a bug where the Neo-Volkite Pistol would deal damage further than its actual visual FX.
Fixed a bug where enemies were able to pierce Block stance with double attack.
Fixed a bug with Bulwark’s Armour of Contempt Perk not triggering correctly and dealing friendly fire.
Fixed an issue where the Neo-Volkite Pistol would sometimes trigger a chain of explosions and cause performance issues.
Fixed a rare bug with Vanguard’s Zone of Impact Perk not triggering correctly.
Fixed Perks that grant player immunity to Heavy Hits and Knockback during charging melee attacks not working with charged attacks unlocked via Weapons Perks.
Combat Knife charged attack buffs from other Perks (e.g., Sniper’s Shadow Stab) are now correctly applied on both damage instances.
Large number of minor fixes in Perks, how they stack, and how they trigger in rare cases.
Minor UI fixes and improvements.
Localisation fixes.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord Update 1.21 Delivers Various Crash Fixes and More

Multiplayer

Fixes
Fixed a bug that prevented the player from speeding its mount up after dying and taking control of another unit in Captain mode.
Fixed a bug that prevented the LogOutputPath launch argument from working for Dedicated Servers – now replaced with LocalOutputDir.
Changes
A multiplayer refactor that represents a deeper technical change towards a more scalable infrastructure has gone Live over a week ago. We expect it to provide greater flexibility in the backend development, help with our long-term server support, and resolve several issues with services not scaling appropriately during heavy load – i.e. it should help with lobby connectivity during a sudden increase in player numbers during f.e. an event.
That’s it for the changes. Expect the next patch to be released sometime next year, as the devs seem to have moved on to other projects given the cadence of support.
Epic Games released the next major update for Fortnite on all platforms this December 10, for v33.10! Players can expect new LEGO Fortnite content, the “Brick Life” social platform that launches on December 12.
Players can also try out a new and improved chat experience. Below are full details on that and the various improvements made available in the Forntnite new update 4.50 summary and patch notes of new content.
Fortnite New Update 4.50 Ushers in New LEGO Content
From the dusty sands to the frozen wildlands — the enemy difficulty has now been equalized across biomes, giving you the freedom to take your adventure anywhere you choose! To improve balance further, the health and damage of enemies have also been adjusted across the board.
Component-based Crafting
Build your way out of any situation, with whatever you’ve got to hand. The Storm Chasers Update introduces Component-based crafting, meaning you’ve now got more flexibility to decide which materials you’d like to use to build your favorite weapons and tools. But think carefully, as the quality of the materials you decide to use when crafting will affect the attributes and rarity of the end result.
Several improvements have also been made to resource-gathering to make it more intuitive. Wood, Stone, Metal, Gem, and Rift are each assigned a Power Tier that conveys their rarity, with Wood being the lowest (Common) and Rift being the highest (Legendary).
The Legendary Forge
Build your ultimate end-game weapon! The Legendary Forge is an upgrade station you can build to boost your gear to new heights. Imbue a Tier 4 weapon or Tool with Rift Crystals, unlocking its yet-untapped potential. You must then use the Rifted item to increase the Rift energy flowing through it, until it evolves into its final form, unlocking hidden stats! The Storm King won’t know what hit him.
Down but Not Out
Peely is down, someone help him up! When you run out of health, other players and NPCs can now revive you and get you back into battle.
Vehicle-Guided Builds
Travel the world in style with these new guided Builds! The Lil’ Barge is just the thing for minifigures who prefer to keep dry while navigating the waters, while the speedy Storm Chaser will get you from A to B in no time. You can unlock these Builds by progressing through the Storm King’s Questline.
Couch Co-Op Introduced
The Storm King will fall twice as fast with two heroes! LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is fully compatible with split-screen on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Here’s a quick reminder on how to access split-screen in LEGO Fortnite:
Start Fortnite and go to the LEGO Fortnite Lobby.
Connect the second controller.
Select the second player’s console account. (Note: Guest and Quick Play console accounts are not supported.)
After picking a console account, Fortnite will automatically ask the player to link their Epic account. (If they link their Epic account, they can access their Locker Outfits, Passes, Quests, and other progress.)
After the second player is logged into Fortnite, they will appear in the Lobby.
Hold onto your bricks… Split-screen mode will automatically begin when you start LEGO Fortnite!

Start your dream job
First things first, you’re going to need to make a living — which means you’ll need to get a job! Whatever you fancy, there’s a profession for everyone in Brick Bay. Here are just a few of the different roles you can take:
Courier – Deliver parcels to other Brick Bay residents!
Academy Professor – Share your knowledge with the class at Moundale Academy.
Security Officer – Make sure crime doesn’t pay.
Scoundrel – Prank fellow city-goers.
Sushi Chef – Serve up the tastiest fish in Brick Bay!
Fortune Teller – What does your future hold? New furniture!

However, these will be supported in the near future, so stay tuned for updates!”
How to Access and Play Fortnite LEGO Brick Life
Wondering where you need to go to start your city life? When you head into Discover — Fortnite’s main menu — you’ll now find LEGO Fortnite listed as its own unique category within Fortnite.
There, you’ll find LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, as well as LEGO Fortnite Odyssey (the original LEGO Fortnite survival experience, now with all-new features, characters, an electrifying villain, and a new name!) and any creator-made or LEGO Fortnite Islands. Simply select “LEGO Fortnite Brick Life” to start building your new city lifestyle!
There are three ways to text chat in Fortnite – in a Party Channel, Game Channel or in a Direct Message. Here’s how it works:
Party Channel: When you join a party, you will automatically be connected to a Party Channel and can chat with all of your party members across any Fortnite island you’re playing. Party Channel chat persists for as long as you’re in Fortnite and in that party.
Game Channel: When you join an island that supports Game Channel text chat, you’re in a public conversation with other players who are on the same instance of the island, regardless of their location on the island. Game Channel chat persists for as long as you’re on the island. It will be up to creators to decide whether they support Game Channels in their islands, and whether the channel includes all players on the island or just teams.
Direct Messages (DMs): You can send one-on-one messages to other players on your friends list. To DM friends, you can hit the “+” button when text chat is open, or you can click the ‘DM’ button from your friend’s profile. Direct Messages persist for as long as you’re in Fortnite. Note: you can only send or receive DMs from players on your Fortnite or platform friends list who are online.

You’re not the only one trying to fight back against the Storm King… so are the Storm Chasers! You’ll find this heroic ensemble of do-gooders, including their determined leader Carl Ruckus and the big-brained Meteorologist Dr. Borrasca, taking cover in the Storm Chaser Village.
As you get to know the crew, they’ll give you goals to complete while you’re out on your adventures that’ll help you progress toward your ultimate goal of defeating the Storm King. Got various requests to complete? Keep track of your progress using your handy Journal! From here, you can also pin goals to your HUD to easily track them from across your current world.
Head Out Into the Storm
You’re gonna need more than an umbrella to deal with these storms. The Storm King’s invasion has warped the very fabric of reality, causing enormous storm systems to appear at random locations across the map!
There are tons of secrets waiting for those brave enough to venture into these shrouded areas… just try not to get zapped by Lightning Strikes as you explore.
You’ll find a Storm Dungeon at the center of the storms, each of which holds a fragment of the Storm King’s electrifying power at its core. Navigate your way through the dangers to strike a blow to his almighty influence, and get one step closer to liberating your world. Just be careful as the closer you get to the end, the bigger the dangers you’ll have to contend with!
Once you conquer a Storm Dungeon, the surrounding storm will disappear – meaning you’re free to explore the area without fear of being zapped. But it won’t take long for the Storm King’s thunderous might to recharge. After 24 hours, conquered Storm Dungeons are reborn with new pathways, dangers, and puzzles. Be prepared to conquer a new challenge every time!
Introducing the Villains!
Prepare to take on the Storm King’s Acolytes! This ferocious faction of fanatics is causing havoc throughout the worlds of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. Keep your eyes peeled for the Acolyte’s most Elite units, who have special abilities granted to them by the villainous king himself. Be wary of the Storm Crawlers too, they give a nasty shock!
Raven
The Storm King’s right-hand man! Raven will appear somewhere within the world after you’ve helped the Storm Chasers significantly advance their village. Defeat this fearsome foe, and you’ll be able to break the arcane lock keeping a mysterious gateway at the centre of your world’s largest storm closed…
The Storm King
Send this menacing monarch back to his own dimension! Step through the gateway after taking down Raven and you’ll be teleported to the Storm King’s lair. This multi-stage boss battle will be the ultimate test of your wits, battle skills, and survival instincts — bringing along some friends for reinforcements is highly recommended.
Emerge victorious, and you’ll be well-rewarded for your heroic efforts with epic loot! Drops include the Thunderclap Blade, Cyclone Pickaxe, and Shatterhorn Fragments, which you can use to craft powerful weapons and improved tools. But the fight isn’t over just yet… After 24 hours, the Storm King will power back up! Gather your friends and take him down again to earn more rewards.
New Adventure? New Gameplay Mechanics!
The Storm Chasers Update comes with an electrifying number of gameplay improvements, from an overhaul of progression systems to all-new crafting systems.
Progress your adventure anywhere, anytime
Bring along a friend with Couch Co-Op!
LEGO Pass: Chill & Thrill
Taking down the Storm King is thirsty work, so grab a refreshment at Peely’s Juice Bar! This Decor Bundle is just one of the oddities you’ll find to add to your Odyssey in the Chill & Thrill LEGO Pass!
The Chill & Thrill LEGO Pass will use the newly announced progression system. That means it’ll be included as part of Crew and will be progressed using XP acquired from any source across Fortnite! This pass will also have only one track, including free and premium rewards.
There are five Decor Bundles you can grab for free in the Chill & Thrill Pass, as well as two Loading Screens, three Player Banners, and the Raven’s Mausoleum Build. They say it’s where villains like to roost.
You’ll be able to unlock an additional 11 Decor Bundles by purchasing the Premium Reward Track upgrade for 1,400 V-Bucks, including the Lounge Tent and Arcade Tent! There are also extra Builds up for grabs, including the Main Stage Build as the final Premium reward in the Pass.
After purchasing the Premium Reward Track upgrade, you’ll instantly unlock the Raven Team Syd Outfit. Whether you’re using its LEGO Style or Fortnite Style, it’s hauntingly cheerful.
Heads-up! The LEGO Chill & Thrill Pass will be available to progress until March 11 at 4 AM ET. Its free rewards, premium rewards, and the Raven Team Syd Outfit reward are not exclusive to the Pass, as you may be able to purchase them in the Fortnite Shop later.

Introducing a New Text Chat Experience in Fortnite
How to Text Chat in Fortnite

NetEase has released Marvel Rivals’ first post-release patch on all platforms, and while this doesn’t include any balance changes, it does resolve a good number of bugs. Console players will see this as Marvel Rivals update 1.000.003, and it’s a small download, though those on PC can expect it to be much bigger.
Most notable fixes include improvements on having heroes stuck in various map areas. Crashing issues have been mitigated, though we suspect that won’t be gone completely. There’s a lot to take in, as there are even platform-specific changes made too.
Marvel Rivals Update 1.000.003 Now Out and Brings a Load of Fixes
Download Size: 830MB (PS5), estimated 8-9GB (PC)
All Platforms
General
· When playing highlights and recordings, crosshair deviation would be significant, and there was a possibility for lag. This issue has been resolved.
· Changing where Highlights were saved would cause the game to crash. This issue has been resolved.
· Players joining a Quick Match as a replacement may not be able to see heroes’ equipped costumes. This issue has been resolved.
· Mission progress on the Season Event screen would not display correctly. This issue has been resolved.
· Fixed some textual errors. More fixes will be coming in a future update.
· After a crash, the game had a chance to freeze for a long period of time before closing. This issue has been resolved, and now the game will close after crashing.
· Fixed some relatively common crash issues.
Maps & Game Modes
· On certain maps (particularly Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven and Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface), special collisions on the edges would cause the player’s character to become stuck or clip through and enter strange areas. These issues have been largely resolved, but as this affects multiple maps and areas, this bug may be present elsewhere. We will work to continue fixing such issues and develop a solution to thoroughly prevent them.
· In the foggy areas of Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia and Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Birnin T’Challa:
– Fog would disappear from Hela and Storm’s perspectives when they activated their Ultimates. This issue has been resolved.
– After Jeff the Land Shark was revived while in the fog, his teammates and enemies would not be able to see the special effects of Joyful Splash. This issue has been resolved.
· In Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven – Frozen Airfield:
– In Competitive, if a player was KO’d while moving near a target area, it would cause the lightings to behave abnormally. This issue has been resolved.
– During matches, disconnecting and reconnecting could cause desynchronization of some doors (i.e., a door looked to be closed, but the player could walk through; a door looked to be open, but the player couldn’t walk through). This issue has been resolved.
· Hydra Charteris Base: Hell’s Heaven – Eldritch Monument:
– When the target area is ascending or descending, if Adam Warlock used his Ultimate, his teammates would potentially revive and be stuck beneath the terrain if they were right on the target area platform. This issue has been resolved.
– When the target area is ascending or descending, if Thor or Loki were revived by Hela’s team-up ability, they would potentially revive and be stuck beneath the terrain if they were right on the target area platform. This issue has been resolved.
– When the target area is ascending or descending, if Jeff the Land Shark used his Ultimate to devour characters, they would potentially become stuck beneath the terrain if they were right on the target area platform. This issue has been resolved.
– When the target area is ascending or descending, if Winter Soldier hit an enemy with his Ultimate and they landed right on the target area platform, damage may be lost. This issue has been resolved.
· When switching between rounds in Competitive, if the destination was not the last stage of a map, it would cause the vehicle’s effective range to not display when it approached the destination, impacting determination of the effective occupation range. This issue has been resolved.
· Upon reaching the third round in Competitive Convoy or Convergence, heroes had a chance to carry over their Ultimate energy from the second round. This issue has been resolved, and heroes will no longer inherit their Ultimate energy.
Heroes
· When Wolverine had his Deadpool & Wolverine costume equipped, no ability voice lines other than the Undying Animal ability’s line would play. This issue has been resolved.
· After Star-Lord’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s MVP animation played, sound effects would not be played in the results screen. This issue has been resolved.
· When Iron Fist used pings, the corresponding voice lines would not be triggered. This issue has been resolved.
· The description for ADS sensitivity in Black Widow’s settings was incorrect. This issue has been resolved.
· In certain situations, Black Widow’s Ultimate would not recover energy as intended. This issue has been resolved.
· In certain extreme situations, Captain America’s Ultimate wouldn’t end as intended. This issue has been resolved.
· When Doctor Strange’s portals triggered terrain KOs, they would mistakenly restore Doctor Strange’s Ultimate energy. For now, we have disabled the portals’ terrain KO attribution to temporarily fix this issue (i.e., terrain KOs will not count toward Doctor Strange’s own KOs). Rest assured, this bug will be resolved in a future update, at which time we will restore the portals’ KO attribution.
PC
· Using FSR 3 frame generation technology to modify the resolution could cause memory leaks, resulting in blurry models. This issue has been resolved.
Console
· After equipping the PlayStation bundle’s Scarlet Spider costume, restarting the game could cause the costume to not display as correctly equipped. This issue has been resolved.
We expect a bigger patch to be released before the year ends, and this one should include a few balance changes to some heroes. Once NetEase releases info about it, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

The gaming community is closely watching every move from Rockstar, with former developers of the Grand Theft Auto series predicting that players will be talking about this title “for years.” As a result, publishers are holding off on releasing more information, waiting to see what Take-Two has planned.
Game Publishers Avoiding Fall 2025 Releases to Avoid Competing with GTA 6
The reason? It’s well known that most publishers are avoiding a fall 2025 release to prevent their titles from competing with the highly anticipated GTA 6 launch. After all, such a move could seriously impact their sales. The need for caution is so strong that many companies around the world are putting their decisions on hold until they get more information about GTA 6.
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier recently reported that GTA 6 will dominate the video game landscape throughout 2025. Given the immense success of GTA V and GTA Online, which has sold over 200 million copies and is the second best-selling game of all time, along with the sky-high expectations for GTA 6, it’s no surprise that other publishers are adjusting their 2025 release plans around Rockstar’s new title. Sources close to Schreier have confirmed this, further highlighting the massive impact GTA 6 is expected to have on the industry.
“Anticipation is so high that some competing game publishers are waiting as long as possible to commit to their release dates for the fall,” Schreier writes in his article. “The publishers want to see whether GTA 6 will make its deadline or slip into 2026, these people say, and they’re determined to keep their own games far, far away.”
But will GTA 6 be delayed? This question emerged from a rumor in early September suggesting a possible date change for Rockstar’s open-world game. However, Schreier quickly dismissed the rumor, tweeting: “Good news is that six Rockstar employees all told me they have not heard of any delay.” Given Schreier’s reputation as one of the most reliable insiders in the industry, this statement carries significant weight.

Minimum and maximum power level for items in chests and crafting increase by one for every level above 30 (added across all characters), before limiting it to its original max value.
Increasing the minimum means that at a certain level, all items are guaranteed to be max power.
Increasing the maximum and then reducing it to the cap means that you are more likely to roll a maximum power item as you increase levels, even before your minimum power gets high enough to be equal to the cap.
