This is the last content patch for the game in 2025, though if any issues surface, hopeully The Lost Pixels releases a follow-up hotfix
Unfortunately, it seems the Winter Offensive update messed that plan up, as the multitude of issues has caused EA to delay the competitive showcase indefinitely into 2026.
While cheaters will never go away in multiplayer games, it's not that big of a problem in Battlefield 6.
Aside from stuttering, there are also issues connected to player movement, bullet dispersion and more, which I’m guessing DICE needs to sort out first before they can kick this off properly.
Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series Delayed Indefinitely
The announcement made today mentions, “After a thorough review, due to an unforeseen technical issue that impacted the integrity of the competition, we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series in all regions. We want to be upfront: this is on us.”
EA adds, “We’re truly sorry for the disruption this causes. Your time, passion, and commitment have meant everything to this series, and we don’t take that lightly.”
Finally, the publisher states that it “remain fully committed” to the Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series and to “creating a competitive scene that’s built to last.”
No other updates were shared, except that more news will be released next year.
While I don’t play battle ruyale at all, this is a huge blow to the game’s marketing plans. However, this is the right move, as I doubt participants would be OK playing for money with technical issues affecting the game.
Once we know more about this, we’ll let our readers know, but this continues the franchise’s trouble-ridden foray into the battle royale genre. At this point, I have to ask: is it even worth it anymore? The battle royale genre, expect for Fortnite, has waned in popularity significantly, to the point that even Call of Duty Warzone isn’t as big of a draw as it once was. It seems EA is still after that F2P battle royale money, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they’re overestimating their forecasts on how much people still like battle royale games.
Rockstar Games has redleased Grand Theft Auto 5 update 1.54 on all platforms today, and this is for what the studio calls version 1.72! While the major focus is on adding content for GTA Online with the “A Safehouse in the Hills” content, there’s also a sweeping list of fixes as well.
For the complete list, read on, just don’t expect anything new for the main campaign.
The announcement of GTA 6’s delay has certainly not gone unnoticed in the gaming world.

NEW CINEMATIC QUEST: THE OLD PEACE
Using Albrecht’s Dark Refractory, delve deep into memories thought lost to time, memories of Tau and the fragile peace brokered between Orokin and Sentient. What happened in the past to make such bitter enemies in the present? With the help of your friend, Adis Truth-bloom, only the Tenno can uncover the real story of Tau.
During The Old Peace Quest, you’ll relive the war-torn memories of the Operator and Excalibur Prime. The latter’s usage is solely tied to the Quest and does not carry over to your Arsenal if you do not own him. It’s important we continue to honor our Founders in this memory with the Prime that breathed life into Warframe. We hope you enjoy this experience!
At certain key pivotal moments, you will come upon Somatic Bearers in the form of aspectral Excalibur Prime kneeling. This is a place to escape the horrors of war and remember that you are not alone in this fight. Tenno who have played the Quest before you may leave behind a memory here for you to call upon for aid and you too can do the same for those who come after.
The Tau levels in the quest feature new volumetric wind, an experimental system that delivers more realistic wind interactions. In the quest, this allows certain abilities and weapons to blow particles and cloth around. We will be slowly rolling this system out in the game in the future.

Read on for the new content and gameplay-related changes made on December 10.
The Finals Season 9 New Content Includes a New Map and Mode via Patch 1.000.119/1.57
New Map | Fangwai City
Fangwai City is built for spectacle, with elevated walkways, dense apartment blocks, riverfront views, serene gardens and towering structures all blended together for the ultimate variety. This latest addition to the Arena is built from the ground up with smooth destruction, combining everything we have learned from the past two years, to create a battleground that puts Dynamism on the center stage!
Distinct zones with strong individual personalities that draw from multiple real world locations in China, such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, create a playground of variety. Explore the vertical routes, the winding pathways, but don’t forget to look up at the electric backdrop of a city that never sleeps.
This megacity is grand, it’s loud, it’s tuned to keep the action flowing, and it’s coming for the crown. Step into your new favorite map!
After a delay, Embark Studios has announced that those who are thinking of doing a wipe in the extraction shooter, you'll be able to do so starting December 17.
New Mode | Point Break
Take everything you know about Cashout, turn it up to 11, and add four more players!
Point Break delivers a rolling battle where the fight is always in motion, the stakes rise with every phase, and every decision carries weight. It’s fast, it’s messy, and it brings a new rhythm to THE FINALS.
As you load into Point Break you find yourself as one of eight Attackers or Defenders, each side with a clear goal. Attackers need to gain control of, and destroy, nine Grand Vaults before running out of respawn tokens while Defenders aim to do the opposite. Deplete the Attackers coins and victory is yours, but be vigilant as they gain more coins for each phase they complete.
New Progression | World Tour 2.0
World Tour is now your one stop shop for all game modes! What used to be a single game mode is now a full progression system that tracks everything you do across THE FINALS. Whether you sweat it out in Ranked, push the Platform in Power Shift, or chase eliminations in TDM, every match pushes you toward your seasonal goals!
For fans of the old World Tour Tournament Mode, it’s still here, but now it’s called Cashout!
Your World Tour Badge progresses regardless of what you play and as you advance, you’ll earn Stickers, Charms, Multibucks, and Emerald rewards delivered to you at the start of the next season! Your effort now builds toward one track, making progress simpler, smoother, and more rewarding.
You’ll still earn Ranked Rewards separately, allowing the most competitive Contestants to earn additional rewards for climbing the ranks in Ranked Cashout!
Reward System | Reward Coins
Gone are the days of receiving pre-determined skins at the end of a season! If you’ve had ambitious dreams of an emerald Dagger, that is now your choice to make! Does the thought of a golden Famas make your eyes sparkle? You can pick that, too!
Introducing Reward Coins: the brand new way for you to choose any weapon skin your heart desires, based on your Ranked and World Tour progress.
There are Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Ruby coins earned through Ranked Cashout, and an Emerald Coin awarded for reaching the top Badge level in World Tour.
Sponsors | VOLPE, OSPUZE, and any one you choose!
You can now sign with any Sponsor you like, whenever you like, and swap them at any time. No more being locked in. This update is about giving you freedom, choice, and a reason to mix things up. We are also adding new loyalty tracks for the official Sponsors of Season 9, VOLPE and OSPUZE.
You can go with a Seasonal Sponsor, return to your favorite, or try a little bit of everything. The CEOs are watching, so you can prove your loyalty or leave them wondering if you’ll ever return! The Fans you earn will only go to the active Sponsor you have signed with at any given moment, so make sure you sign before stepping into the Arena. Don’t worry about the fine print!
In January of this year, we reported on how Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is getting a remake that would be more than just a visual upgrade.
Cashout Rules | Double Jeopardy
A new rule is coming to Cashout in the form of Double Jeopardy, a condition triggered whenever a second Cashbox is inserted in an already active Cashout Station.
When a team initiates Double Jeopardy, if they are in control of the Cashout Station as it completes, they bank all the money as normal, but if they fail to secure it they lose 50% of their current cash total.
‘Doubling’ is now a high risk strategy, allowing struggling teams to catch up, while increasing the risk for those ahead.
Quality of Life | Expanded Options and Customizations
We’re expanding our privacy options, allowing you to fine-tune how you appear and interact with others, and select which pop ups for friend and party invites you see on screen. We’re also enabling you to send party invites to club members!
You can now “opt-in” to view an Instant Replay, giving you the ability to watch replays only when you choose to with the simple press of a button.
To end on a high note, some highly requested additions, you can randomize between your favorite skins and finally customize your multi-device tablet!
Optimization | Performance Improvements
This season we’ve reworked a lot of our physics meshes for environment and characters to reduce game memory requirements and stuttering, we have also made significant improvements to texture memory usage.
We have made several performance upgrades across the game, starting with smoother Instant Replays supported by a new download system and backend cleanup that reduces shader and state work during matches.
Hard work has gone into supporting 16 players at once in Point Break, and the improvements made will benefit all Game Modes across THE FINALS.
Kyoto has been updated to improve GPU performance. Physics have been optimized, vegetation has been rebuilt for clarity, and the bamboo forest near the Guard and Servants quarters has been refined to run more efficiently. These updates help the map feel sharper, lighter, and more responsive during busy fights.
We’re not done. Significant additional improvements to memory usage are coming soon which will reduce stutter on minimum’ and recommended specs, but will benefit everyone.
Expanded Visuals | Smooth Destruction upgrade
Visual destruction is getting a major improvement this season. Objects remain attached when structures come down, giving you more realistic destruction that also provides new ways to traverse and climb through the rubble!
We’ve reworked our destruction effects to better reflect the shape and material of whatever you destroy. Walls now break apart with debris that resembles real fractured pieces, much like the way windows already shatter. These changes bring more clarity, more character, and a more satisfying hit when the Arena comes crashing down.
Major changes have come to Monaco, which has complete Smooth Destruction across the whole map! Expect more as the season continues!
The Finals Season 9 Balance Changes
Added aim snapping to the following weapons:
.50 Akimbos
BFR Titan
CB-01 Repeater
Cerberus 12GA
KS-23
M26 Matter
Model 1887

Increased the cooldown on aim snapping from 0.5s to 0.7s
Added a 1.5s cooldown for aim snapping with sniper rifles
Added a 1s cooldown for aim snapping with shotguns, revolvers and grenade launchers
Aim snapping now scales with distance, meaning it no longer gives a stronger effect at longer ranges
Looks like some big changes are indeed coming to the Call of Duty franchise, as it has been confirmed that it will no longer be doing back-to-back releases of sub-franchise games (back to rotating releases).
Gadgets
Breach Charge
Decreased cooldown from 30s to 20s

Game Modes
Cashout Mode (including Ranked Tournaments)
Introduced Double Jeopardy mechanic. If a team ‘doubles’ a Cashout, i.e. puts a second Cashbox into an already active Cashout Station, if that team does not own the Cashout Station at the point the cashout concludes, they will lose 50% of their cash total.
Ranked Tournaments
Cashboxes will no longer despawn when overtime begins, as they would previously
World Tour
Renamed World Tour to Cashout
Progression Systems
Ranked Tournaments
Increased the overall accuracy of Ranked Score (RS) calculations, which will result in slightly smaller RS changes from match to match
Re-balanced RS calculations to make first round losses in tournaments less extreme, especially for highly seeded teams
Specializations
Mesh Shield
Increased max health from 750 to 850
Added the ability for Dome Shields to block the Winch Claw
Dev Note: This Winch Claw has been dominating the Heavy meta for a while now, so this adjustment should offer some more counter-play to it. It also should increase the viability of the Mesh Shield.
Winch Claw
Decreased the max stun duration from 0.65s to 0.5s
Decreased the minimum stun duration from 0.35s to 0.2s
Added functionality where, if the clawed victim is far away from the initial point of collision, the Winch Claw will break. This addresses an issue where the Winch Claw could sometimes appear to grab players around walls
Winch Claw now retracts as soon as it hits an object it can’t latch onto, reducing time spent lingering in the air
Dev Note: These changes aim to address some of the more common frustrations players experience when facing the Winch Claw, which has become quite dominant in the meta across multiple modes. The hope is to bring the Heavy’s Specializations more in line with each other in terms of viability/impact.

Decreased the damage fall-off start range from 32m to 30m

If the studio releases a proper changelog, expect the article to be updated.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year's biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right.
Those trying to log in to free-to-play hit Where Winds Meet, you’ll be greeted with an error message or two as the game’s servers are down and offline this December 10 across all platforms.
Don’t fret, Wanderers, as this is an intentional server downtime as Everstone Studios is releasing today’s maintenance period to release a new update.
In January of this year, we reported on how Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is getting a remake that would be more than just a visual upgrade.
Where Winds Meet Servers Down and Offline for Maintenance on December 10
Per Everstone, the downtime starts at 7 am UTC/2 am ET/3 pm HKT and will run for four hours.
Here’s the message from the devs, “Due to a version update, we will perform temporary server maintenance starting December 10, 7:00:00 to 11:00:00 (UTC). The maintenance is expected to last approximately 4 hours. During this period, you will be temporarily unable to log into the game. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. Compensation rewards will be sent after maintenance. Please log in to claim them once maintenance is complete.”
If there are any changes to the downtime, we’ll update the article to reflect it.
As for what’s getting changed, check out the confirmed roadmap of content for December.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year's biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right.
While Capcom doesn't have any shortage of hits when it comes to game releases, it's usually the usual brands the past few years: Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter.
Now, what could possibly be our strongest case for the remake has surfaced, and it indicates we’ll be hearing about it very soon.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake Titled “Resynced”
European video game ratings committee PEGI (Pan-European Game Information) has filed an 18 for Mature rating for a game titled “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.” While the filing has since been deleted, since, y’know, the game isn’t even supposed to exist, it has managed to circulate online and was shared by reliable leakers such as shinobi.
Aside from the rating, not much info has been shared, though we suspect our previous findings about the remake is still applicable. This is also one of many Assassin’s Creed games being remade, if Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot’s statements from 2024 are to be believed.
Chances are, given the filing timing, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is one of the games set to be unveiled at this week’s The Game Awards.
Looks like some big changes are indeed coming to the Call of Duty franchise, as it has been confirmed that it will no longer be doing back-to-back releases of sub-franchise games (back to rotating releases).
While this doesn’t usher in new content, the patch introduces balance changes, adjustments and more. Just take note that there are Alloyed Collective spoilers in the changelog.

Pocket ICBM now affects Missile Drones when Operator uses Admin-Override.

Under rare circumstances you could die during the “decompiling scene” when you’ve accepted Solus Heart’s offer – this no longer occurs.
Is this the last patch for Risk of Rain 2 this year? Most likely it is, but if Gearbox releases another one, we’ll have it up on the site.
Looks like some big changes are indeed coming to the Call of Duty franchise, as it has been confirmed that it will no longer be doing back-to-back releases of sub-franchise games (back to rotating releases). But that’s not all: the next era of Call of Duty is now underway, built with players in mind to deliver exactly what they want.
Seems community feedback will play a major role in future Call of Duty releases.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year's biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right.
The Call of Duty Team Feels Confident About the Future of Call of Duty
As shared by the Call of Duty team in a new post, Call of Duty is going back to having its yearly release being from different sub-franchises in the series, much like it was before they released Modern Warfare 3 the year after Modern Warfare 2, and recently Black Ops 7 the year after Black Ops 6. That means next year’s release won’t be another Black Ops, not that anyone was thinking it would be.
But that’s not the only thing, as it seems the studios have some big plans to bring some even bigger changes to the franchise moving forward.
Activision notes, “We also know that for some of you, the Franchise has not met your expectations fully. To be very clear, we know what you expect and rest assured we will deliver, and overdeliver, on those expectations as we move forward.”
We will no longer do back-to-back releases of Modern Warfare or Black Ops games. The reasons are many, but the main one is to ensure we provide an absolutely unique experience each and every year.
We will drive innovation that is meaningful, not incremental. While we aren’t sharing those plans today, we look forward to doing so when the time is right.
With today's Battlefield 6 Winter Offensive update, DICE introduced a new event, new items and other goodies to keep the player base entertained.
Adding to the first statement, Activision also talks abot the future of the franchise, stating, “To be clear, the future of Call of Duty is very strong and we believe our best days are ahead of us given the depth and talent of our development teams. We have been building the next era of Call of Duty, and it will deliver precisely on what you want along with some surprises that push the Franchise and the genre forward. We look forward to welcoming you in, listening to you, and moving forward together.”
Although we gave Black Ops 7 a solid score in our review, it has been at the center of numerous controversies and criticisms (including the handling of the game’s campaign), despite the studio’s recent commitment to listening to the community.
It seems that the studios have had a major wake-up call. With pressure from its competitor, EA, which recently released Battlefield 6, it looks like the gears are turning at Activision, and hopefully for the better.
I can’t wait to see what they do with the new, refined commitment.
It's hard to believe that ever since it first aired in 2019, we still don't have a video game adaptation of The Boys -- Amazon's hit TV series based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

We’ll see you in Antarctica in S22!
The Challenger Leaderboard is now organized by Challenger Score.
Winning a match at or above Diamond 5 in Core Competitive play or All-Star 5 in Stadium now grants Challenger Score.
The exact Challenger Score players get for a win is based on the highest ranked player in each match. A map of ranks to Challenger score payout is included at the end of this section.
Losing a match at or above Diamond 5 or All-Star 5 subtracts 33% of the Challenger Score a player would gain at their Rank according to the table below.
The highest ranked player in the match is not used to calculate Challenger Score for losses.
Challenger Score is recorded over the course of a season and reset to 0 when a season ends.
Challenger Score gains a Heat Bonus each consecutive week of the season of 5%. Example:
At the end of a 9-week season a win would be worth 40% more Challenger Score.
Challenger Score can’t be earned in Wide matches.
Challenger Score earned Role Queue is applied to both the Role-specific leaderboards and the Combined Leaderboard.
Challenger Score earned in Open Queue and Stadium are accumulated in separate leaderboards.
Challenger Score has been added to the Career Profile.
Challenger Score has been added to the Competitive Progress screen.
Verified Challenger Tier players will now be able to link to their social channels directly from the Challenger leaderboards, allowing everyone to watch some of our highest skilled players live on various platforms.
The first wave of players with this privilege will start small and we’ll expand this group over time.
The players that are currently live in the game client will have a red highlight on their streaming link.
The following requirements to appear on the leaderboards have changed (requirements not mentioned here remain unchanged):
Players no longer have to win a specific number of games to appear on the leaderboard.
There is no longer timed delay before the leaderboards appear.
Each leaderboard has a Challenger Score requirement. Once players meet this requirement they will immediately appear on the leaderboard. The requirements are as follows:
Combined – 5000
Open Queue – 5000
Stadium – 5000
Each Role in Core 5v5 and Stadium – 4000
Endorsement Level 2 is required (Endorsement Level 2 has been the default starting level for new players since Season 19).
For Stadium, a new challenge requiring 25 wins has been added.
Many usability improvements have been made to the leaderboard screen, such as the ability to scroll, the ability to search the leaderboard for a player’s name, a “Go to me” button, and filters for players using the Social links described above.
Rewards for Challenger Tier will be improved over Top 500’s, but the exact improvements will be revealed as we get closer to when they’ll be awarded in Season 21…

This upgrade changes our existing leaderboards into a season-long race between the best players with better rewards and real recognition for players. A player maintaining multiple accounts on the leaderboard becomes considerably more difficult in this new paradigm (we’re sure some of you will still try)! Social links on the leaderboards are intended to give aspiring creators and seasoned streamers a chance to show off what it means to be the best at the game. Challenger Score shifts the focus away from camping a high position to continually battling for top placement, and in doing so elevates the prestige of the system. Top placement at the end of a season will be more competitive than in the past, and this is very intended. The Heat Bonus ensures that as time passes in a season each new victory counts for slightly more. Overall, we believe that being on the leaderboard should be about a continual push for excellence, instead of a brief burst of high rank wins followed by a long period of inactivity that it often is today.
Grouping Restrictions
Champion players now must be within 1 Division to be in a Narrow group.
Grandmaster and Master players now must be within 2 Divisions to be in a Narrow group.
Cheater Compensation
In Core Competitive modes (Role and Open Queue) players will periodically get Rank Progress returned from matches that were found to have a cheater.
A new pop-up will appear on login letting you know about Rank Progress being returned when the cheater is banned.
Rank Progress is not subtracted if you won with a cheater on your team.
The technology to operate this system is included in the Season 20 patch, but the system will not start returning Rank Progress immediately at the start of the season.
We’ll start by calibrating the system and processing data behind the scenes, then after some time into Season 20 we’ll start returning Rank Progress.
We’ll start by calibrating the system and processing data behind the scenes, then after some time into Season 20 we’ll start returning Rank Progress.
Once the system comes online completely the delay between a cheater being banned and Rank Progress being returned will be much shorter.
Tank
Junkerqueen
Carnage’s uptime is high due to its cooldown refund on individual or multiple hits. Increasing the base cooldown reduces this while preserving its rewarding potential.
Carnage
Cooldown increased from 8 to 9 seconds.
Hazard
With recent adjustments to Hazard’s block effectiveness, we’re restoring some of Jagged Wall’s previous strength. These changes make the Wall a more reliable option for both defensive and offensive pressure.
Jagged Wall
Knockback damage increased from 40 to 50.
Health increased from 350 to 400.
Reinhardt
Earthshatter has the potential to swing fights and is often generated quickly in close-range engagements. Increasing the ultimate cost better aligns its charge rate with its overall impact.
Earthshatter
Ultimate cost increased by 9%.
Sigma
Sigma can struggle to secure eliminations in certain matchups. Increasing direct impact damage rewards precision and improves key breakpoints when comboing with the rest of his kit.
Hyperspheres
Impact direct damage increased from 15 to 25.
Damage
Bastion
Recon mode damage is often weak compared to other heroes, making Bastion overly dependent on Sentry mode. A higher fire rate helps smooth out the weapon’s flow and increases his threat while in Recon mode.
Configuration: Recon
Fire rate increased from 5 to 6 shots per second.
Freja
Freja’s long-range kill potential primarily comes from landing two explosive bolts in quick succession. These changes shift power and breakpoints away from Take Aim and more toward her base kit, reducing distant lethality while improving her consistency elsewhere.
Revdraw Crossbow
Damage increased from 25 to 30.
Take Aim
Direct Hit damage reduced from 40 to 30.
Explosion damage reduced from 90 to 80.
Quick Dash
Distance traveled increased by 15%.
Bola Shot
Hinder duration on the hit target increased from 1.2 to 1.4.
Area slow increased from 25% to 45%.
Junkrat
The travel speed of Junkrat’s grenades is limiting, especially with the overall increase in hero mobility. Increasing projectile speed without altering the arc should improve consistency while preserving weapon feel. The Frag Cannon perk adjustments keep its bonus within reasonable bounds while removing the perk’s downside.
Frag Launcher
Projectile speed increased from 25 to 30.
Frag Cannon (Perk)
Projectile speed increase reduced from 40% to 25%.
No longer reduces ammo capacity.
Reaper
Reaper’s sustain from his passive leads to high survivability in close-range duels. A slight reduction in lifesteal maintains his durability while reducing his self-healing reliability in extended engagements.
The Reaping
Lifesteal reduced from 30% to 25%.
Vendetta
Vendetta performed well during her hero trial though her effectiveness fell off some at the higher ranks. These changes are mainly aimed at making her abilities feel more responsive to better flow between them. We’re reducing a few of the longer recovery times and making the passive easier to upkeep through the projectile speed adjustment. To help keep her engagement range in check we’re reducing the maximum distance you can throw the sword with Soaring Slice, but this means it’ll also take less time to perform and be a bit snappier. The survivability perks have been buffed slightly to make the choices more competitive.
General
Reduced recovery times of Palatine Fang overhead, Whirlwind Dash, and Projected Edge by about 15%
Projected Edge
Projectile speed increased from 33 to 37 meters per second
Soaring Slice
Max throw distance reduced from 16 to 14 meters
Siphoning Strike – Perk
Lifesteal increased from 30% to 40%
Swift Vengeance – Perk
Overhealth increased from 125 to 150
Venture
Venture’s shield generation on ability use provides strong and consistent survivability. Reducing the shield amount slightly maintains their gameplay loop while offering more opportunities for opponents to apply pressure.
Explorer’s Resolve
Shield health gained per ability reduced from 30 to 25.
Support
Baptiste
While Immortality Field remains one of the stronger abilities in the game, its extremely long cooldown can feel difficult to use effectively for such a reactive tool. Reducing the cooldown gives Baptiste more flexibility without increasing its overall effectiveness.
Immortality Field
Cooldown reduced from 25 to 22 seconds.
Illari
Captive Sun’s projectile size allows it to be intercepted from farther distances than intended. Reducing the hit volume clarifies its perceived size and improves counterplay for enemies.
Captive Sun
Projectile size reduced from 0.75 to 0.45.
Juno
Juno has limited defensive options against close-range threats. Allowing Mediblaster to critically hit improves her ability to defend herself while rewarding accuracy.
Mediblaster
Mediblaster can now deal critical damage against enemies.
Kiriko
Kiriko’s Kunai has strong damage output given its high critical damage and lack of falloff. Reducing projectile size increases the accuracy requirement while maintaining her lethality.
Kunai
Base projectile size reduced from 0.15 to 0.12.
Wuyang
Wuyang’s movement burst from Rushing Torrent allows for quick repositioning but can be difficult to punish due to how high the speed bonus is over its duration. Slightly reducing the boost lessens how elusive he becomes throughout the ability.
Rushing Torrent
Movement speed boost reduced from 50% to 40%.

Cassidy
We wanted to address some of Cassidy’s least-picked Powers and create viable builds across his entire kit. Several new Fan the Hammer powers, such as Buck Wild, as well as the reworked Frankie’s Fixer, should nudge Cassidy’s close-range build towards building more tanky, rather than a glass cannon that deletes tanks. Cassidy’s crit build has also gotten some love with the new Dead Man Walkin’, which rewards him for taking aggressive duels and beating the odds in dangerous situations. We were also unhappy with Cassidy’s High Noon build, feeling that it took too many powers and items to come online. Three powers have been condensed down to two, allowing the build to spike earlier in a match, while the new forgiveness mechanic in It’s 12 O’clock Somewhere should allow Cassidy to recover quicker if his Ultimate scores no eliminations. Condensing the powers also allows Cassidy to branch out his AP options. No longer do you have to go all in on High Noon, instead Cass can flex into a ranged AP build built around Flashbang and the new Sticky Grenade Power or a close-range build with Barrel Roll (while both still having access to the powerful AP scaling on High Noon).

(New) Flashbang hits reduce Fan the Hammer’s spread by 25% for 2s.

Hot Potato (New) – Power
Original functionality removed.
(New) Flashbang becomes magnetic and has 50% increased throw distance.
Bullseye (New) – Power
Flashbang hits and Critical Hits reduce Combat Roll’s cooldown by 2s.

Sunset – Power

Hazard
Hazard’s primary fire oriented powers weren’t keeping pace so Bonerot and Twin Fang are getting some extra bite to help him feel more threatening when he commits. On the other hand, Ability Power oriented builds were doing a little too much while being easy and cheap to build.
Bonerot – Power
Damage increased to 20 (Up from 10).
Twin Fang – Power
Damage increased to 75% (Up from 65%).
Touch-Up’s Touch Up – Epic Ability Hero Item

Orisa
This update aims to strengthen Orisa’s sustain and reliability during extended engagements. Restorify used to perform perhaps too well when it used to be 10% so we are trying to find the sweet spot.
Restortify – Power
Healing increased to 8% (Up from 5%).
Winston
Winston is a polarizing hero where in good hands he overperforms but on average he is not as threatening. We are still trying to pinpoint adjustments for Winston at higher levels but here is an initial change that will make him less threatening overall.
Circuit Breaker – Power
Damage decreased to 2% (Down from 5%).
Electro Cluster – Power
Damage decreased to 2% (Down from 3%).
Damage
Genji
These changes broaden Genji’s build diversity and reinforce his identity as a highly mobile, high-skill-cap assassin. Powers like Forged Under Fire and Hanamura Healing received significant stat increases to enhance survivability and reward aggressive play. Weapon items such as Spiked Grip and Swift-Loader now offer more meaningful tempo boosts, improving Genji’s ability to chain engagements fluidly. Ability and survival items have been tuned to strengthen mobility, cooldown management, and defensive expression. Overall, this update aims to make more of Genji’s item paths viable and exciting without pushing his burst lethality beyond intended limits.

Whew! That’s a lot of changes, though that’s expected with any major season drop. It’s time to get out there, legends, and have a happy and festive holiday!
It's hard to believe that ever since it first aired in 2019, we still don't have a video game adaptation of The Boys -- Amazon's hit TV series based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
With today’s Battlefield 6 Winter Offensive update, DICE introduced a new event, new items and other goodies to keep the player base entertained. Unfortunately, this new update also brought with it, new bugs that are annoying the crap out of players.
Chief among them are in-game stuttering, and also how some menu tiles seem to not be working as intended.
Fortunately, DICE is aware of both issues and are currently investigating.
Battlefield 6 Suttering Issues, Menu Tiles Not Working Workaround Detailed by DICE
DICE has issued a statement on both issues, as well as workarounds for both via the official Battlefield Discord.
On the topic of in-game stuttering, DICE said, “We are actively investigating an issue that is causing in-game stuttering for some players. We will provide further updates as we work toward resolving this issue.”
Workaround: A workaround that seems to help some players on Steam is to go offline in the friends menu. Try this if you are on Steam while we investigate this issue for a proper fix.
As for menu tiles not working, DICE noted, “We are investigating the issues players are experiencing with menu tiles not working reliably. Some players report that restarting the game can temporarily solve this issue. We will update you on progress as soon as we have additional info.”
Well, there you have it. Hopefully, an update will be issued soon to stop these bugs from affecting the overall experience.
In terms of what’s next for Battlefield 6, Season 2 should be revealed in January 2026, and this will once again list new maps, weapons and more that will be delivered to players for free as part of the game’s live service intiative.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year's biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right.
For those who prefer their battle royale with a furry twist, Super Animal Royale might be your thing. However, developer Pixile has more grand plans for the game, and it starts today! Thanks to a new major update, Super Animal Royale has today transformed to Super Animal World!
Players on consoles will see Super Animal Royale update 1.39/1.035 (complete version 1.035.000) available for download today for free, and this will bring the game’s biggest content additon since launch. Expect a new social hub, new NPC-driven quests and a lot more.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year's biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right.
Check out what’s new in the info breakdown below.
Super Animal Royale Receives Biggest Update and Turns to Super Animal World via Patch 1.39/1.035
What is Super Animal World?
Super Animal World is a reimagining of Super Animal Royale that turns the island into a relaxing space to make friends and enjoy cozy activities, all while you’re queuing up to fight your new friends to the death.
We call this new loop the Circle of Super Life. You explore the new Social Hub, chat with characters, accept quests, and then matchmake straight into Super Animal Royale or our other competitive modes. When you die (or do the winner dance), you respawn back in the Hub to regroup, claim rewards, and head out again for your next battle.
The Social Hub was inspired by how wholesome and friendly this community has been over the years, and we wanted to create a larger space to support that. We’ve designed Super Animal World to make life between matches feel just as engaging as the battles themselves, with activities like fishing, bug catching, hamsterball racing, and more. In the sections below, we’ll walk through those new activities as well as BananOS, the new quest system, and everything else packed into the expansion.
Super Hamsters, Chinchillas, Emus
To celebrate the launch of Super Animal World, a whole trio of new Super Animal species has arrived in the Research Lab: Super Hamsters, Super Emus, and Super Chinchillas, each with their own set of breeds to unlock.
Super Hamsters can finally claim their hamsterballs, Super Emus get to join the royale as full combatants instead of just noble steeds, and Super Chinchillas are here by popular demand, ready for their chance to scurry to the top of the food chain.
To celebrate Super Animal World’s release, Ms. Macawsome’s got a new Animal Pass for you: The Grand Opening Pass! This one’s all about the newest activities on the island, so there’s bound to be something for everyone (as long as you like fishing, bug catching, or racing hamsterballs).
We’re also really excited to debut the new Mini Emu pet in this pass! It may be too short to ride, but it makes emus the first species to exist as a complete set of Giant Animal, Super Animal, and Mini Animal.
During this season, the Grand Opening Pass is available for a discounted price of 550 SAW Tickets.
As always, Animal Passes never expire, so you can continue working on passes you own from previous seasons on your second track, or purchase previous ones from The Archive for 750 SAW Tickets.
Grand Opening Starter Pack
Feeling daring? The Grand Opening Starter Pack features a star-studded set of flashy daredevil cosmetics and the Super Stuntman Hamster! It’s the perfect look to rock while outspeeding the competition out on the raceways, just watch out for flights of stairs. Or don’t.
The Grand Opening Starter Pack includes:
Stuntman Aviators
Stuntman Outfit
Super Stuntman Hamster
600 SAW Tickets (enough to pick up the new Animal Pass or put toward items in the SAW Shop!)
Buying this Starter Pack will also unlock the base Super Hamster early, as a small bonus. This is the first time we’ve offered a non-starter Super Animal in a Starter Pack and we’d love to hear what you think!
It's hard to believe that ever since it first aired in 2019, we still don't have a video game adaptation of The Boys -- Amazon's hit TV series based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
SAW is Finally Here? It’s a CRISPRmas Miracle!
CRISPRmas is here! Candy canes have once again been scattered across the island to collect, and the first week’s challenges and rewards are ready to be unwrapped.
Be sure to head on over to the SAW Welcome Center in the Social Hub and have a chat with Santa Claws himself, in the fur! He’ll be around throughout the entire event, to meet all the nice (or naughty) Super Animals on the island.
Keep an eye out for candy canes during your matches. Eating them grants a small heal and helps you progress some of your weekly challenges. Smashing snowmen (snow animals?) around Thomas’s Tundra will score you even more candy canes, and you’ll also earn them just for completing matches!

Social Hub Activities
Fishing
Believe it or not, there are fish out there that don’t stand on two legs! Once you get a fishing rod, you can catch some of these so-called “water fish” in just about any body of, well, water. You can catch different fish depending on where you cast your line, so to complete the Museum of Super Natural History collection you’ll need to angle all around the island.
Bug Catching
Whether they’re skittering or buzzing or fluttering about, dozens of bug varieties call the island home, too! With a bug net, you can catch them to add to the museum’s collection (and never snack on, as tempting as it might be for some Super Animals). Just like fish, different bugs can be caught in different locales, so be sure to search every nook and cranny on the island.
Hamsterball Racing
Dash, drift, and dodge your way through the island’s six hamsterball racing tracks! BananOS augmented reality turns stretches of the island’s existing landscape into exhilarating raceways to challenge your friends on, complete with dash pads, items to give yourself an edge, and all the spherical mayhem you could want.
The Island’s Inhabitants
The island’s never felt more alive, thanks to the massive new Quest System that’s been added, with tons of characters to chat with including familiar faces from our SAR Tonight animated series and plenty of debuting critters too! Every corner of the island has friendly (or not-so-friendly) faces to meet, many of whom will give you quests and rewards every day you return. Be sure to say hello to any and all Super Animals you meet out there while exploring. You never know who might need your help, or what you might get in return if you lend a hand. Or… paw. Or wing, or fin!
All in all, there are 350+ quests to complete and over 100 characters to chat with (200+ when including ambient NPCs, who all have unique dialogue). There’s a full novel’s worth of story here, with over 140,000 words of dialogue in total. For context, that’s roughly 1.5x longer than The Hobbit and about 4.7x longer than Animal Farm. It was a huge undertaking to add this many questlines to the game, and it’ll be an undertaking in its own right if you want to experience them all, so expect it to take multiple days if you’re dedicated enough to complete every quest.
BananOS
Seven years after its original Early Access release, Super Animal Royale has received a nearly top-to-bottom UI overhaul. At the heart of that overhaul is BananOS, a new augmented reality operating system that every Super Animal now runs as a brain-to-eye interface (…whether they opted into the install or not).
The big question we asked ourselves that led to BananOS and the new Social Hub was: what if instead of returning to a menu between matches, you can access everything you need while staying in-world the whole time?
BananOS overlays an AR interface onto every Super Animal’s vision so they can access apps, notifications, and matchmaking from anywhere in the Social Hub. Other systems that used to live in menus have also been brought in-world to physical locations, like MTN Stations where you can access customization and the Research Lab, and Photo Booths for snapping commemorative pics while you explore the island.
While Capcom doesn't have any shortage of hits when it comes to game releases, it's usually the usual brands the past few years: Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter.
You can also use BananOS to queue up for any game mode straight from the Social Hub, and keep fishing, questing, or socializing while you wait for matchmaking.
Alongside Super Animal Royale, S.A.W. vs Rebellion and The Bwoking Dead are now permanently available to queue for instead of rotating weekly. Now that waiting for your next match is a whole game itself, we felt it was time to make these additional modes permanent, and we plan to keep evolving them and adding new competitive modes you can access right from the Hub.
For the first time, BananOS also introduces an in-game cross-platform friends list. You can add players you meet while you play, no matter what system they’re on, and that list lives alongside your Steam or console friends while staying shared across all platforms. Grouping up from BananOS’s Social tab is simple too, especially now that console players can use text chat in-game.
Additions and Quality-of-Life Improvements
Respawn Tanks – By popular request, Duos and Squads modes in Super Animal Royale now feature Respawn Tanks where you can revive fallen teammates, as long as you pick up their respawn vials first. You can finally bring a dead teammate back into the fight, or at least a new clone of them. Rejoice!
Intense Weather – The island’s weather patterns have gotten a bit superer! Stormy weather can occur at random, with new visual and audio effects to match. Be careful heading to the Tundra during these storms, since it also means there’s a blizzard in the snowy northern sections of the map.
Competitive Modes
Emus can peck ammo, juice, tape, and throwables to loot them for their rider, making looting on the go much smoother.
Carl Coins rewarded per minute survived in Super Animal Royale have been increased from 5 to 7.2.
Explosive barrels have a new knock down animation for both competitive modes and Social Hub. In competitive modes this acts as a stun, even if the player has only lost part of their health.
The first Skunk Gas circle now takes longer to close, giving you more time for early-game looting and reducing the chance of being rushed or caught by the first circle.
Skunk Gas visuals have been adjusted so it’s easier to see the environment while you’re inside the gas.
A confirmation sound now plays when armor taping finishes successfully.
Fixed several spots where throwables would bounce incorrectly or through walls (such as around the Giant Emu pen and small research lab buildings).
Existing NPCs in the royale are now client-side, so each player can complete related milestones if they find them in a match.
Zombie Joe bots and The Bwoking Dead have seen several improvements: bot melee range and attack speed have been slightly reduced, bot melee now breaks crates and other objects, the last survivor in Bwoking Dead now sees kill notifications correctly, and a rare issue where the on-screen kill notification would show 0 kills has been fixed.
Reworked the SvR “Top Players” showcase to consider multiple stats for players (while still only picking someone once), fixing cases where someone qualified for a stat but wouldn’t get featured.
Private match hosts have a suite of new tools, including commands to teleport (/tele), toggle the kill feed (/killfeed), spawn Lucky Cat Mines (/mine), spawn Skunk Bombs (/skunk), and enable or disable Respawn Tanks (/tanks).
Added keybind for private match admin leaderboard.
World & Social Hub
New Points of Interest: Hamsterball Stadium, Victory Island, and new details around the island including waterways and waterfalls. (Note: Victory Island is only accessible when exploring the Social Hub, and getting there will be up to you!)
Be sure to check out the exclusive shops at Victory Island and Mini Ranch for special items only found there!
SMoMA’s art collection has been updated with new works from the latest fanart contest.
New cinematics to see and photos to collect through the main questlines.
Tons of new music, including ambient location-sensitive tracks and new music when joining a lobby for a Super Animal Royale match.
New trails and boost visual effects for hamsterballs to make races feel even more satisfying.
Rebel Caches can now also be found around the Social Hub, awarding Carl Coins and with a rare chance to drop a cosmetic from the level-up item pool. An old bug in BR where they could not be opened after eating a mushroom or coconut has also been fixed.
Blue mushrooms have new run animation while you’re boosted. Their speed cap has been adjusted to +24s and they can be found and used in both competitive modes and Social Hub.
Giant Giant Clams can be opened in the Social Hub for a chance at pearls of different colors/rarities, which can be sold for Carl Coins and used in certain quests.
Carl Coins have a small chance to drop when cutting grass or breaking crates in the Social Hub.
Earporium has been renovated to become the new flagship SAW Shop location and MTN Station at the Welcome Center. Other areas around the island have also been renovated to accommodate MTN Stations.
Added a squishable fly to the SAW side starting screen in SvR.
Systems & Quality of Life
You can now undo DNA Magnet choices at the MTN Station Research Lab if you change your mind about which Super Animal to target.
The game’s HUD and notifications have been updated, including a larger minimap, improved text styling, and notifications moving to the right side of the screen.
Chat now supports Direct Messages. You can send DMs to a friend from their profile and use “/r” in the chat window to quickly reply to the last direct message you received.
All consoles now support text chat (via the Select button).
New emote wheel and quick chat design.
New dialogue/chat font for improved legibility and character support.
A Master Volume setting has been added to control all game audio at once, and more music (like SMoMA and Aquarium ambience) now respects the Music Volume slider.
Thanks to the new modular settings menu design, new settings have been added, including VFX quality and the ability to hide your armor locally. Existing options like “Toggle Recoil Indicators” and the old “/hidenames” chat command have also been moved into the settings menu. We plan to add more highly requested settings in the future so let us know what you want to see!
Various load-time optimizations have been made, including preloading more animations and speeding up map loading when joining servers.
Fixed a bug where ping-based hamsterball extrapolation of other players was not working correctly, improving how accurate the position of other players’ hamsterballs will look on your screen.
Social hubs restart daily at 10am Pacific Time, with matchmaking reopening shortly after. Server downtime will be 1-2min or less.
Weekly Challenges now refresh on Tuesdays at 10 am Pacific instead of Mondays to sync everything up to the same time.
Pixile has also hinted at what’s coming next for the game. According to the developers, Super Animal World is meant to give Super Animal Royale a whole new foundation to build on for years to come. They will continue to build on that with major updates.
Here are the few things the dev team is focusing on and should hear more about in 2026:
We’ll be returning to seasonal Major Updates, released roughly every quarter, with smaller event updates in between. Those larger updates will keep adding new content, building on the seeds we’ve planted with this expansion, smoothing out rough edges and fixing bugs.
For upcoming Major Updates, we’re already looking at quality of life improvements like Inventory Search for the Customize screen, and upgrades to the new BananOS cross-platform friends list.
You’ll probably also notice a museum currently being built by the hard-working Super Construction Beavers on the northeast side of Murre Woods. Your hard work for the Museum of Super Natural History directly supports filling its halls with an impressive collection when it opens its doors.
Beyond the Social Hub, we plan to continue updating the game’s core modes (like The Bwoking Dead) and will return to exploring new modes to add in 2026.
There is a lot more planned than we can list here, so if we haven’t mentioned your most desired feature yet, please keep letting us know what you would like to see next in Discord, on our socials below, or here on Steam.
As you can see, this is one massive update. That said, don’t be surprised if we need a hotfix or two to stomp out any bugs that might surface from this. Don’t forget to check out our preview of Super Animal World where we were pleasantly surprised at the changes made.
While Everstone has already confirmed a bunch of features and even PS5 Pro support for PSSR is on the way for Where Winds Meet, the studio isn't done there.
We are just two days away from The Game Awards, one of the year’s biggest gaming events, yet the announcements bound for the stage are already leaking left and right. The internet is buzzing with news about the event, from small rumors and game ratings to accidental slips, such as the reveal of an iconic character making a comeback in Resident Evil: Requiem.
However, few things have sparked as much discussion as the mysterious demonic statue that recently appeared in the middle of the Mojave Desert, something heavily promoted by host Geoff Keighley through a series of cryptic messages.
While early speculation linked the statue to titans like God of War, Diablo 4, or The Elder Scrolls, those theories have since been debunked by reliable insiders like Jason Schreier. So you might be wondering if we will have to wait until the broadcast to find out, but if you are as anxious as I am, you will be interested to know we found strong evidence suggesting the Divinity franchise is preparing itself for a major announcement, and it might just be the one everyone has been talking about.
We have been well aware that Capcom is sitting on a goldmine of dusty IPs for a while, and they know it too.
Trademarks Reveal New Logo for the Divinity Franchise and Statue Connection
Update: And it’s official!
This discovery centers on three new trademarks registered today in Europe for the Divinity franchise: one for a logo and two for icons that appear to be related to the logo or promotional material.
Although the owner of these filings is not listed (the representative ID ties them as the same), the design is unmistakably linked to the franchise created by Larian Studios. This new logo features the aesthetic of previous logo titles but also a refreshed, modernized font, strongly hinting that this represents a brand-new project in the saga rather than a simple re-release.
You might be wondering how this connects back to the statue. Well, if we pay close attention to one of these three icons, we can notice a form that almost exactly resembles the glowing shape seen on the mysterious desert figure. This striking similarity significantly raises the chances that the statue is indeed linked to Divinity.
If you still aren’t convinced, here’s a comparison that overlays the found icon on the statue image.
Yeah, I think this mystery has been solved; otherwise, that’s a massive coincidence. The game’s new logo also features that big center eye-like piece, too.
We aren’t sure what the third trademark is for. We at first thought it may be referencing either the Enwebbed or Spider Legs abilities/status in the Divinity games, but it would be an odd thing to trademark.
Another piece of information, and this is pure speculation on our part, but with now knowing of the logo and it being tied to the statue, we speculate this may be referencing the Black Ring faction from the Divinity games. Specifically, the God King: if you look at the character’s design, its lower half does seem to match the statue and trademark symbol. Again, pure speculation, and probably “reaching” on our part.
Again, this part is PURE SPECULATION:
We also should look at recent comments from insiders Jason Schreier and Shinobi602. The latter recently remarked that while the reveal ‘can’t please everyone,’ fans of the specific studio and genre will like it. This suggests the announcement is tied to a more specialized category of game, a description that aligns perfectly with the complex RPG roots of the Divinity saga.
The Divinity IP potentially being present at the event is not unheard of, as eagle-eyed fans recently spotted a “PS5 Pro Enhanced” tag for Divinity: Original Sin II on the PlayStation Store, and age ratings for current-gen native versions of the game surfaced as far back as last year.
With the announcement of The Game Awards nominees, it's safe to say we have officially arrived at the season of news and rumors surrounding the event.
Nevertheless, a simple update would clearly not match the hype of such a heavily teased reveal. This brings us back to one of the leading theories regarding the mystery statue: Divinity: Original Sin 3. As we know, Larian has been working on some projects for a while, like a project codenamed “Excalibur”, so this just might be the indicator that they are ready to make a grand reveal for Divinity.
Update: The director of publishing at Larian Studios has confirmed that they have no plans for Divinity: Original Sin 3. HOWEVER, that does not mean the statue is not still related to Divinity, as that is the actual series, with Original Sin being the prequel to the main series. There have been five other Divinity games, all under different sub-names, such as the first two, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, followed by Divinity II: Ego Draconis and Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. Meaning while there are no plans for Original Sin 3, that does not mean we aren’t getting a new Divinity game.
There aren’t currently any plans for a new Divinity Original Sin 3 game but once we are ready to show what we’ve been working on we will 🙏
We guess that a shadowdrop of the Original Sin II current-gen upgrade would pair perfectly with the reveal of a new game, and these fresh trademark filings serve as solid confirmation that a major Divinity comeback is imminent. However, we will have to wait and see at the event for official confirmation.
Sony is clearly far from finished with the God of War franchise, with several projects currently in the works, ranging from a TV show for Prime Video to a heavily rumored 2D metroidvania that would return to Greece, drawing inspiration from games like Blasphemous.
Mojang has released the latest major update for Minecraft, and it’s the last one for the year. Called the Mounts of Mayhem, this update is for Bedrock version 1.21.130.
Console gamers should see this download appear as Minecraft update 3.27/1.037 (complete version 1.037.000), and this should be a hefty download across all platforms.
For the full list of new features and gameplay improvements, read on for the official patch notes.
Minecraft’s December Update Brings Mounts of Mayhem via Bedrock 1.21.130
Today Mounts of Mayhem charges into Minecraft, bringing a new weapon to wield, mounts to tame, foes to face, and strategies to master! Fight back with the spear, a new tiered weapon which deals damage based on your precision and the speed of your trusted steed. So, riders of the Overworld – mount up and lead the charge in the Mounts of Mayhem drop!

Introducing Realms Saves, a new and improved version of our previous backup system. Keep your Realms worlds safe with a new bank of cloud storage included with your Realms subscription. Realms saves come in two flavors:
Automatic saves are functionally the same as our previous “backups” system:
They are on by default – no need to enable anything to keep your Realm world safe with automatic saves.
They are taken at the end of every Realms play session when the server shuts down, or every 30 minutes during a play session.
They are only retained for a limited time, according to our retention policy (which has not changed with this update): [How Mojang Saves Backups for Your Minecraft Realm | Minecraft Help](https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/28717462139149-How-Mojang-Saves-Backups-for-Your-Minecraft-Realm)
They do not count towards your bank of cloud storage.
All previous Realms backups will be converted to automatic saves.
Manual saves are created by the Realm owner and count towards a bank of storage that comes with your Realms subscription.
Manual saves are retained as long as your Realm is. They are not automatically deleted by our retention policy*, but Realm owners can delete manual saves if they want to free up storage space.
Realms Plus subscriptions come with 10GB of manual save storage and Realms core subscriptions come with 5GB.
Automatic saves can be turned into manual saves by the Realm owner.
Realms saves can be found in the Realms settings menu accessed via the “Edit Realm” button rather than the Realms world settings menu that backups used to show up in. While playing on the Realm, saves can also be found in the in-game settings menu for the Realm owner.
Realms saves will also now list the world name and the packs that were applied at the time of the save.

As expected, Bungie has released Destiny 2 update 9.5.0.1 on all platforms as part of today’s maintenance. Console gamers will see this download appear as Destiny 2 update 3.83/1.178 (complete version 1.178.000).
This brings adjustments to the Renegades update, as well as various activities, and a lot more.
It's hard to believe that ever since it first aired in 2019, we still don't have a video game adaptation of The Boys -- Amazon's hit TV series based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
While this isn’t a content drop, the amount of changes here is quite significant.
Destiny 2 Update 9.5.0.1 Released on December 9 as Patch Version 3.83/1.178

Vanguard Alerts
Added a new Vanguard Alerts page to the Seasonal Hub with the following alerts:
Fireteam Ops Quickplay
Arena Ops Quickplay
Crucible Ops
Grandmaster Vanguard Alert
The Desert Perpetual Raid and Equilibrium Dungeon (once it unlocks)
All alerts are also available from their normal Portal nodes.
The Grandmaster Alert node is available at the top of the Fireteam Ops node, next to Quickplay.
The three Quickplay Portal alerts have three stages of challenge, each asking you to complete the three relevant Portal activities.
The first challenge stage each week drops a special version of the weekly weapon and a piece of gear from the relevant loot pool. This special version of the weapon will come with a unique origin trait and will be pre-Masterworked.
The second and third challenge stages drop two pieces of gear each, resulting in four additional engrams.
All of these drops come at a higher power than you can get from playing activities, as well as at a higher tier.
The unique weekly weapon with the special origin trait can drop from any loot source from that pool at a very low rate.
Grandmaster Alerts have a rotating weekly weapon from the Pinnacle Pool and completing the Grandmaster Alert with a B grade or higher will award the weekly weapon at Tier 5.
The first time you complete the Grandmaster Alert each week, the weapon drops pre-Masterworked with the unique origin trait.
Further drops will have a low chance of dropping with the unique origin trait.
Grandmaster Alerts also drop two Fireteam Ops engrams based on your grade, as well as other relevant Portal loot.
Portal
Adjusted Quickplay scoring so that a 550 Power player should be able to earn a B grade with the Season Pass bonus.
This will apply to all Quickplay nodes, including Vanguard Alert Quickplays.
Arena Ops now has a Quickplay Node, which rotates between Astral Alignment, Ketchcrash, and Nightmare Containment.
Lootstream objects for Reallocated Bonus Focus now stack, showing players how many are being reallocated.
Fixed an issue where the Portal version of the Derealize Exotic Mission was not awarding Barrow-Dyad or its related intrinsics and catalysts.
Weapon, intrinsic 1+2, and catalyst 1 will be awarded on first completion on any difficulty.
Intrinsics 3, 4, and 5 will be awarded sequentially on activity complete on any difficulty.
Catalyst 2, 3, and 4 will be awarded sequentially on activity complete in Master difficulty or higher.
Matchmade Grandmaster and Ultimate activities will now have No Radar enabled by default.
Fixed an issue in the Astral Alignment Arena Ops activity where the suppressor buff was not stunning abominations.
Crucible
Removed Avant-Garde modifier (new gear loadout restriction) from rotator playlists.
Raid and Dungeon
Fixed an issue where The Desert Perpetual vendor was checking for space in the kinetic slot inventory instead of the energy slot when players attempted to purchase the epic raid version of Cusp Sempiternal.
Fixed an issue where players who earned the epic raid version of Cusp Sempiternal were unable to purchase higher-tier versions from the raid vendor.
