Baldur’s Gate 3 Update for August 25 Released for Patch 1

Developer Larian Studios has released the Baldur’s Gate 3 update for August 25. This is labeled as Patch #1 and it comes with a host of over 1000 bug fixes. Check out the Baldur’s Gate 3 new update patch notes posted down below.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch #1 Patch Notes | Baldur’s Gate 3 Update foe August 25 Patch Notes:

Hello everyone,

Today we’re releasing our first major patch for Baldur’s Gate 3, addressing over 1000 bugs, balancing, flow issues and much, much more. Patch 1 is too big for our usual patch notes due to Steam’s character limit, so for the full notes head to this link:

Read the full Patch 1 patch notes (Note: Some of the entries might have spoilers!)

So what can you expect from this update? Well, we’ve eliminated issues like NPCs who sometimes spot you when they really shouldn’t be able to, floating items like mugs and newspapers that should abide the laws of gravity, and the conclusion to Shadowheart’s romance scene not triggering for some players, among others. With expansive systems come many unknowns, so our support team continues to work with you to relay any issues to us. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with further reports.

Patch 1 also tackles a few visual bugs, and sprinkles on more post-launch polish. We’re bringing back Short King Summer with better kissing contact for short races!

You won’t be waiting long for Patch 2, which is right around the corner. This update will feature significant performance improvements – but we’ll go into more detail about that closer to its release.

In the meantime, did you know that collectively you’ve played over 200,000,000 hours of Baldur’s Gate 3 since launch? That’s over 22,000 years!

The most popular class choice is currently Paladin, followed by Sorcerer, while the award for least popular class goes to Cleric.

Human and Elf characters reign supreme in Faerûn, followed swiftly and unsurprisingly by Half-Elf. On the opposite end of the spectrum we find Dwarf, Gnome, Githyanki, and Halfling. We get it, they’re not exactly the most ethereal beauties of the Realms but they’d still form a rad metal band.

For now, as we focus on fixes, thank you for playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and continuing to share this adventure with us.

HIGHLIGHTS

Showstoppers

  • The Emperor will no longer leave you stranded in the Morphic Pool.
  • Starting to use the boat to go to the Morphic Pool, sending that character to camp, and then using another character to make the journey will no longer block you from progressing.
  • Fixed a bug where listening in on a conversation as Player 1 and then exiting the dialogue prematurely could result in not being able to interact with anything anymore.
  • Fixed an issue causing the Reaction UI to not work correctly and potentially block progress in combat if you save the game in the middle of a reaction.
  • Fixed loot in corpses sometimes not appearing in multiplayer until an item is dragged onto the corpse.
  • Fixed a bug causing you to get a Game Over screen after helping Downed party members.
  • Fixed the Helm of Arcane Acuity crashing the game. The condition is now capped to 7 stacks.
  • Attacking an NPC during a dialogue after being Downed will now get you arrested rather than giving you a Game Over screen.
  • Fixed an issue where characters could get stuck in an infinite falling loop.
  • Fixed an issue with Marcus being resurrected by players hitting him with a dual-wield attack – the second hit will no longer revive him.
Story Flow and Logic
  • Wyll should be able to talk about Ravengard being at Moonrise Towers, and will no longer have an exclamation point above his head without having anything new to say.
  • Wyll should now be able to tell you what to do next if Ansur is killed and he has an exclamation mark above his head.
  • Ravengard no longer addresses non-tadpoled characters as True Souls in
    Wyrm’s Rock.
  • Shadowheart should more easily follow up on her proposed romance moments in Act III.
  • Fixed conditions being updated before a savegame finished loading. This, for instance, caused
the hag to have 0 HP if loading an autosave created when entering the Lower City, preventing you from progressing through related quests.
  • Fixed Karlach not going to camp after being freed from the Wyrm’s Rock prison if your party was full.
  • Jaheira and Minsc’s paths are tied after you save Minsc, so if you’ve forsaken him, Jaheira should now follow after him.
  • Fixed bug that made it possible to break up with Astarion without meaning to.
  • The drider will now recognise that you’re with him when reaching Moonrise Towers if you start following him in the middle of his route.
  • Art Cullagh and Fist J’ehlar no longer get so scared of bears and spiders that their quest breaks.
  • The Zhentarim will more consistently use the mines after their allies have fallen back to safety, and will no longer actively try to blow themselves up by checking active mines.
  • Minthara no longer references irrelevant topics or passes judgement on companions more than once.
  • Fixed the dialogue flow when dating Minthara.
  • Fixed Minthara’s body disappearing at camp after you decide to
bring a sweet moment to a terrible end.
  • You can no longer recruit both Halsin and Minthara to camp in the same playthrough.
  • Changed several precise map markers into more appropriate general area markers, such as for investigating Kagha, investigating the cellar in the Blighted Village, and finding Halsin at the Goblin Camp.
  • Made it less ambiguous that you’re starting a romance with Gale when choosing certain dialogue options.
  • During Gale’s spell-teaching scene, you now have the option to picture a future with Gale that falls somewhere in between kissing him and kicking him in the head.
  • When confronting Raphael in the House of Hope, will no longer target his own pillars or allies with
    Flames of Avernus.
  • The Rescue the Grand Duke quest should now receive a proper update about the duke’s whereabouts, regardless of the way the quest started.
  • Fixed an issue where using non-lethal attacks on Auntie Ethel would still kill her.
  • You can now opt to respect the privacy of the bugbear and the ogre outside the Blighted Village again. Don’t get in the way of real love.
  • Fixed a level design quirk that would allow you to use a spell like Misty Step or Dimension Door to skip part of the main quest sequence in Act II.
  • Fixed an issue where the Baldur’s Mouth headline about a cute cat could get accidentally overwritten.
  • If Wyll isn’t recruited, he will now recognise Avatar Karlach and initiate dialogue.
  • Made sure Mizora can always interrupt Wyll, no matter where he runs off to.
  • Throwing a single coin at the beggars will no longer damage them.
  • If Dolly Dolly Dolly curses you with the A Clown in Town condition for making her angry while inside the Moonlantern, she will now paint your face. That’ll teach you.
  • The Zhentarim at the Goblin Camp should now be more tolerant if you approach them.
Balance
  • Made gold bounties more generous in several containers across the game.
  • Increased players’ HP bonus in Explorer Mode from +50% to +100%.
  • Fixed the Freecast tadpole power to properly reset on Long Rest. It was creating infinite spell slots and Sorcery Points for sorcerers.
  • Arcane Tricksters’ Mage Hand Legerdemain now does not expire until destroyed, and does not lose Invisibility on Long Rest.
  • You can no longer have multiple Mage Hands active at the same time.
  • The Shield reaction can no longer be used while Silenced.
  • Fixed not being able to create 5th Level spell slots from Sorcery Points.
  • College of Lore bards can now pick which additional skill proficiency they receive. Bards that are already of the College of Lore need to respec to get this choice.
  • Made sure proper spell DC is applied during multiclassing.
  • Added spells to bards’ Magical Secrets feature: Banishing Smite, Animate Dead, Crusader’s Mantle, Hunger of Hadar, Revivify, Sleet Storm, Rage of Enfeeblement, Web, Entangle, Hunter’s Mark, Sanctuary, Thunderous Smite, Bone Chill, Eldritch Morphic Blast, Fire Bolt, Ray of Frost, Sacred Flame.
  • The Club of Hill Giant Strength now increases Strength to 19 and not some puny 15.
  • Fixed a bug with ranged enemies reapplying Hunter’s Mark constantly, even when not needed.
  • Warlocks’ Pact of the Chain summons now get to use their Extra Attack more than once.
  • Fixed NPCs sometimes spotting you even if they’re not supposed to be able to.
  • Fixed an issue where multiple rolls trigger if you walk along the edge of a cone of vision.
  • Danse Macabre ghouls will no longer kill you when you Long Rest.
  • If you make a successful Saving Throw against a poison, you will now gain immunity to that specific poison for 2 turns.
  • Grym, the Protector of the Forge, now deals more damage in Tactician Mode.
  • Meenlocks are now immune to the shadow curse.
  • Increased the HP and AC of Orin
  • Lorroakan can no longer cast his signature reaction spell, Elemental Retort, when silenced.
  • Helped Minthara remember how to use her weapons.
  • Fixed enemies targeting you from above through the ceiling in the
    Gauntlet of Shar.
  • Enabled trespass warnings for any additional characters that trespass after the first instead of immediately triggering combat.
  • Fixed NPCs attacking outside of their turn when combat starts during forced Turn-Based Mode.
Usability
  • Fixed dialogue notifications, like approval ratings and roll results, disappearing too early.
  • The Launcher will now remember whether you chose DX11 or Vulkan.
  • Fixed the incorrect amount of gold being displayed in all UI menus if the amount is too large.
  • Fixed spells like Hex randomly shifting in order, causing you to misclick if you’re moving and clicking around intuitively.
  • Fixed players who are merely listening in on a dialogue being able to skip lines – only the speaker can now do this.
  • Fixed an issue with Camp Supply values for the second local player in multiplayer if they joined during a game. Long Rests will, alas, no longer cost nothing.
  • You can no longer interact with another player’s inventory (e.g. send multiselected items or use their items) if their inventory is locked.
  • Fixed the critical hit text sometimes not appearing.
  • Improved the performance of the minimap when new map markers appear or old ones disappear.
  • Dyed armour will now appear in the right colour in the Level Up screen.
  • Halsin’s Wild Shape tooltip will now correctly call him a cave bear.
Visuals
  • Fixed the modesty filter not working on dragonborns.
  • Fixed earrings on tiefling female strong character models.
  • Added a Controller Style option, which allows you to override which controller’s icons are displayed.
  • Fixed an issue causing the clown makeup to not only not appear on Lae’zel’s face when applied, but also remove her characteristic tattoos and makeup.
  • Invoke Duplicity now works as an identical copy of your character. And they’re not naked.
  • Fixed a leather helmet, a metal helmet, and the Helmet of Smiting floating on some character models.
  • Undergoing partial ceremorphosis will now rot your teeth!
  • Lae’zel’s underwear will now more accurately reflect the colour of dyes used on it.
Cinematic Scenes
  • Made fixes to kissing scenes with the Origin characters across the game, for example to make sure physical contact is made properly, to account for shorter races, and to account for uneven ground.
  • Made sure Dame Aylin’s armour and wings are correct in the scene where she  kicks Lorroakan’s butt.
  • Fixed items like mugs and newspapers floating in the air during dialogues – the characters holding them were correctly hidden but the items themselves weren’t. Ghosties begone!
  • Fixed Scratch’s position so you can try to get that ball out of his mouth. Whether he’ll let you have it is another matter.
  • Improved Volo’s aim during your
    ice pick lobotomy

    .

  • Lae’zel no longer floats up and down during your dialogue where you discuss dating.
  • Made sure Wyll has room to dance no matter where you’re camping.
  • Fixed some cameras that couldn’t contain the force that is Astarion in a dialogue with him at night at camp. Also tweaked and added facial expressions where needed.
  • The red dragon you see through the telescope in the Emerald Grove will no longer remain blurry after you pass the Perception check.
  • Fixed a camera position when Karlach hugs you for the first time after getting her upgrade.
  • Fixed the mind flayer not appearing in the cinematic dialogue with Dror Ragzlin if you manually trigger the dialogue.
Loot and Trade
  • Traders who stock dyes now also stock dye remover.
  • Made Lady Esther available to trade with after you’ve completed her quests.
  • Fish vendors now have more fish to sell. That new bait must be doing the trick!

  • Skeletons around the Selûnite Outpost no longer have fresh food in their inventory.
  • Lohse’s portrait is now reachable, chief.
Misc
  • Updated the credits and reformatted them into two neater columns.
  • The Digital Deluxe DLC’s D:OS2 bard songs are now also granted to companions as well, instead of just player avatars.
  • All the extra bard songs from the Deluxe Edition will now be available even if you use Lohse’s Lute of the Merryweather Bard from the Deluxe Edition.
  • DLC rewards will no longer get removed if you load a save with that DLC not installed. Any rewards that were removed due to this will be restored.
  • Steel Watcher idle sounds no longer take up streaming bandwidth.
  • You can no longer climb the Shambling Mound.
  • Optimised the walking bounds of Glut so that it navigates the world and the battlefield better.

CHAPTER 4 SEASON 4 RANKED

Fortnite Ranked Update

Chapter 4 Season 4 means Chapter 4 Season 4 Ranked! As previously announced, everyone’s rank has been reset in Chapter 4 Season 4 Ranked to provide a fresh start for all players.

Similarly to Season Zero, you’ll only need to play one Ranked match in Chapter 4 Season 4 to have your rank revealed (one match per Battle Royale and Zero Build). Your performance in your first match does not determine your initial rank placement. Rather, it reveals your rank and then updates your rank progress bar based on your performance in the match.

Watch Over 7 Minutes of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Gameplay Showcasing the Combat

Focus Entertainment has unveiled a ton of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gameplay at gamescom, and the footage focuses on combat, the game’s different environments and enemies.

Check out over seven minutes of footage below:

Here’s what the press release says about the game:

Play as the greatest warriors of the Imperium

Embody a Space Marine of the Ultramarines Chapter, a superhuman warrior who protects humanity from untold horrors, in brutally efficient third-person action powered by the distinctively fast and fluid gameplay experience from best-in-class studio Saber Interactive, the team and engine behind World War Z.

I have to admit, the game is looking solid so far. Hopefully, it will be accessible to non-Warhammer fans and those who haven’t played the first Space Marine game.

NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments Revealed, Will Feature Kobe’s Most Memorable Moments

Visual Concepts has announced the NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments, which acts like the Jordan Challenges from previous NBA 2K games, except this one focuses on Kobe Bryant’s most memorable moments on the hardwood.

NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments:

Here are some of the scenarios players will be able recreate in the game based on Kobe’s storied 20-year run as an NBA player.

2001 Western Conference Semifinals, Game 4: Up 3-0 against the Sacramento Kings, Kobe slammed the door shut on the division rival’s postseason hopes with a remarkable 48 points and 16 rebounds. At just 22 years old, the then-three-time All-Star proved that the stage wasn’t too big for him. Dissect the Kings’ defense with Kobe’s blistering speed and crash the boards in one of No. 8’s most memorable games.

Kobe Sets NBA Three-Point Record: Long before Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson made three-pointers cool, Kobe delivered a three-point performance unlike anything seen before. Against the Seattle SuperSonics, the Los Angeles Lakers guard knocked down a then-NBA record for most threes in a game, converting 12 of his 18 attempts from behind the arc. Let it fly from three-point land and recreate the magic from that electric night in 2003.

The Mentee Faces His Mentor: From the moment Kobe set foot in the NBA, he was unafraid to go toe-to-toe with Michael Jordan every time they met, whether it was a regular season game or the All-Star Game. Go head-to-head as Kobe against his idol and mentor, MJ, and deliver a stunning 55 points— including breaking the Lakers team record with 42 points in a single half—en route to a commanding win.

Kobe Erupts for 62 Points In Three Quarters: No scouting report could’ve prepared the Dallas Mavericks for the offensive mastery Kobe showcased on December 20, 2005. In 32 minutes of action, Kobe took over against the Mavs, dropping 62 points in only three quarters of play. Outscore the entire Mavericks team as Kobe and put the game out of reach before the start of the fourth quarter.

Three-Point Barrage Leads to 65-Point Game: Coming into a matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, the Lakers were on a seven-game skid—until Kobe decided that enough was enough. He put the team on his back and scored a whopping 65 points, knocking down eight of 12 three-point attempts. Drain three after three in this exciting duel and hoist the Purple and Gold to victory.

2008 Western Conference Finals, Game 5: Between 1999-2010, the Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs had nine NBA championships between them, creating a Western Conference rivalry between the two teams. In 2008, the Spurs were hoping to win back-to-back championships, but Kobe had other plans. Despite a triple-double from Tim Duncan, Kobe went off for 39 points and sent the Spurs back to San Antonio. Dash the Spurs’ title hopes, tap into the Black Mamba’s 2008 MVP form, and help the team advance to the NBA Finals.

2010 NBA Finals, Game 7 -Lakers vs. Celtics: one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports. Looking to win back-to-back titles for the first time since the early 2000s, Kobe did a little bit of everything during his clutch close-out performance against Boston. Endure a grueling, physical battle and will the Lakers to victory by crashing the boards and locking down defensively on the way to the title.

That seems to be it. If you’re wondering why Kobe’s 81-point game isn’t part of this list, I don’t have the answer to that. Perhaps it’ll be added at a later date as DLC?

The NBA 2K24 Mamba Moments will be available in all versions of the game (last-gen and current-gen).

NBA 2K24 will be released this September 8 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC. For the first time ever, the game will also feature a Season Pass, which you can read about here.

Starfield Mods Will Allow for New Planets, Quests and Stories to Be Added Confirmed

While most developers (and publishers) are against modding their games these days, it seems that won’t be an issue in Starfield, as Bethesda just confirmed today that Starfield mods adding new content to the game will be allowed.

Speaking during the Bethesda MainStream Special about Women in Gaming Twitch stream, Bethesda Head of Publishing Pete Hines has confirmed that Starfield modders will be able to add new planets, quests and even stories to the action-RPG!

Pete Hines: There’s a lot more coming and when you start to think about the kind of community that comes around Bethesda Game Studios games and putting a tool like that in the hands of people that go, “how would you like to make a planet?” Like, all of that is going to just be off the charts. When you start getting your community come in and add all the different things that they want to bring to it. Their own stories they want to tell.

That is very good news for would-be players indeed! No word just yet if this means for PC only or if Xbox gamers will be able to enjoy the fruits of the mod crowd’s labors. I wouldn’t put it past Bethesda and Microsoft to make it available on Xbox given it would seriously prolong the game’s lifespan.

While we can’t say whether Starfield will have mod tools out of the gate or not, from past experience, mod tools for games like Skyrim came four months after launch, with Fallout 4 getting it much later even. There is a recent (but unverified) piece of info that a modder got a review copy of the game, which could be what Hines was referring to.

In other Starfield news, the game’s review embargo is lifting this coming Thursday, August 31, and we can confirm that we have the game. While it’s massive, we are working hard to have a review up in time for the embargo lift.

You can watch HInes talk about Starfield mods around the 5:52:00 mark of the video.

Thanks, Darrius Fears!

Inkbound The Starship of Terror Update Patch Notes List New Features and More

Shiny Shoe has released the Inkbound The Starship of Terror update, and this adds new features and a ton more! Read on for the official patch notes and list of new content below.

Inkbound The Starship of Terror Update Patch Notes:

New Features
New Aspect: Star Captain
With a Blaster on your arm and Drones by your side, lead your allies and defeat your enemies using the power of cold space technology.

The Star Captain is a Frostbite and teamplay focused aspect. If you’re interested in all the gritty details, we have a deep dive available here.

To get access to Star Captain complete the short unlock quest. You can find it in the “Aspects of Lost Binders” quest tab.

New Book: Derelict Starship
The unsealed DARVe, once a lab now a prison.

Uncover the secrets of this new book via quests, meet a new NPC, and fight a brand new set of enemies with unique mechanics.

Trinkets

Trinkets are a new way to customize your run. After unlocking the feature via a quest, you’ll be able to pick from a few trinkets that are unlocked by default. Trinkets are equipped while in the Atheneum and persist across the entire run. Each Trinket gives a different benefit, supports different playstyles, and can help complete quests that have challenging criteria. Trinkets are unlocked by leveling up and earning Trinket Keys. We hope you’ll have fun experimenting with them and finding the Trinkets that suit your playstyle best!

To gain access to Trinkets start a run and complete the short unlock quest found at the start of any book.

Daily Challenges and Leaderboards

Calling all competitively-minded players! We’ve added the ever-popular Daily Challenge with rotating mutators that change core game systems to keep things fresh. Each Daily Challenge dictates the classes to play, the books you’ll visit, the Villain, and the mutators you’ll have to deal with. A new run scoring system feeds into competitive leaderboards.

Because you can also play Inkbound co-op, to keep things fair there are actually 4 separate Daily Challenges each day, separated by party-size. Each challenge has a separate leaderboard. If you wish, you can compete on both the Solo and 2-player leaderboard for example.

You can only upload a score once per day per player count. So make your runs count! Daily Challenges currently update once a day at 10 am PT (GMT-7). Your first challenge each day also offers an XP bonus!

Victory Board

The Victory Board is a new list of seasonal achievements to accomplish with cosmetic rewards tied to completing objectives. While some of the objectives are more straightforward, some are a lot trickier, like “Win a Run without equipping a Vestige.” We migrated the prior Villain kill and ranked run completion tracking into Victory Board objectives.

New Draftable Bindings

We’ve added three new draftable Bindings (abilities) that can show up in runs: Smoke Bomb, Quicken, and Grasp. Each offers new ways to fight with three ascension upgrade paths to explore. We have a deep dive on the new Bindings available here.

New “Anywhere” Enemies

To mix up combat across the entire game we’ve added four new enemies that can appear in any book. The new enemies include Chompy, the grumpy big brother of the existing Biter enemy.

Offline Mode Beta

We heard from you, our players, that you’d love if we supported playing Inkbound in a variety of contexts, including when fully disconnected from the Internet, and we are excited to have been able to get a beta version of this support completed earlier than expected and are rolling it out as a part of this update. While Offline, you can continue to progress your existing character, and then later bring that progress with you when online again. Some features are not available when offline, like multiplayer and Daily Challenges. Please don’t cheat though, when you reconnect we will validate this data and cheaters will be banned!

To learn more about the details, see our detailed announcement about the Offline Mode Beta.

Save & Resume Multiplayer Runs

We have supported saving and resuming single player runs since launch. And now we’ve added the ability to save and resume multiplayer runs in this update! If all players in a multiplayer run quit the game, they can come back on at a later date and resume play. The first person to resume the run becomes the party leader. It’s up to players to coordinate outside of the game for when to resume the run. We see this as a great feature for friend groups who are playing co-op and want to continue their run at a later time.

New Villain Battle Music

Enjoy a pumping new combat music arrangement for your Villain battles. Jordan Chin has done it again.

Reworked Systems and Quality of Life
Player Movement in Combat

We’ve re-built how player movement in combat works. It no longer consumes Will and instead has its own resource that depletes the more you move in a turn. We think it’s significantly more intuitive compared to the prior system and makes combat easier to understand and more fun. We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback. Want to know more? We have a deep dive post on the new movement system here.

Enemy Movement and Aiming in Combat

To reduce intense enemy area attack overlapping we’ve updated the way enemies choose their position and attacks in combat to spread out more. This reduces the chance of “death zones” where many overlapping enemy attacks affect the same area of the arena and also increases the clarity of combat outcomes by reducing overlap of enemy attack UI elements.

Revamped Ranked Mode with Higher Difficulty Tiers

Have you already reached the max rank of “Inkbound” in the Story Begins season? Good news, we’ve added even more challenging ranks. The overall rank system has been reworked to refer to ranks as numbers instead by name. Ranks now go from 0, where you start, to 20. The prior “Inkbound” rank maps to rank 10 in the new system. We have migrated your existing rank into this new system.

Separately, we are now also tracking rank independently for Solo and Group play. We think the experience and challenges feel different enough to track these independently.

Each rank ladder has player nameplate rewards to earn as you rank up.

Quest Multi-tracking

As a small but impactful quality of life feature, we’ve added the ability to track up to 5 quests at the same time. May your questing be successful and easily tracked!

Quest Objective Indicators in Drafts

Need to draft something for a quest? We’ve added indicator pips to drafts that will lead to quest progress to make these easier to keep track of.

Player Stats Visible in HUD

To make it easier to keep track of your stats during the current run we’ve put them on screen in the lower right corner at all times.

Increased Clarity of Class Passive in HUD

Every aspect in Inkbound has a passive ability that you need to utilize to maximize your chances of success. Previously, the indicators for the status of the passive ability were a little bit hidden. We’ve brought it directly into the middle of the HUD so that you can, for example, more easily track how much Heat you have built up as Magma Miner.

Reworked Run Types

When Inkbound launched, we had two types of runs: Unranked and Ranked. Other than difficulty rules, the run types were the same.

In this update, we’ve reworked the two original types of runs. Unranked is now called “Quick Dive”. It’s a shorter run with fewer battles and a faster start, designed for people with limited time or those who are looking to complete quest objectives that don’t require playing at higher ranks.

Ranked is now called “Deep Dive.” These are longer runs and utilize your rank and progressively get harder as you rank up. We’ve simplified how increasing your rank works. Now you must simply win once at your highest rank to progress to the next rank.

Many Vestige Unlocks Moved to Progression Reward Track

We have moved a number of Vestige unlocks from quests into a new progression reward track. These rewards are earned by leveling up. We wanted to simplify how players unlock access to more types of Vestiges and felt that too many were tied to challenging quest objectives. Now many are unlocked by simply playing runs and leveling up naturally. We’ve also moved some previously locked Vestiges to be unlocked by default. We felt new and returning players who didn’t progress very far should have more variety earlier in their journey.

Season Pass Is Now Leveling Pass

The Season Pass feature has been reworked into a new iteration called “Leveling Pass.” Rather than going away at the end of each Season, we now maintain progress in each pass permanently. Your progress in The Story Begins pass has been migrated to the new system automatically. This is targeted at eliminating any concerns about losing access to rewards paid for, or even the opportunity to buy them in the future. Also don’t forget to look for the free Shinies on the top track. If you run the numbers you’ll find with some leveling up that you’ll be able to pick up the pass. These will refresh every season, so make sure to earn them all before then!

Finally, we’ve added a new Leveling Pass for The Starship of Terrors filled primarily with sci-fi and modern cosmetics.

Other Changes
Big Changes
  • Added new Starship of Terrors seasonal quests.
  • Added new quests for drafting all Bindings and their Augments and Ascensions.
  • Added ability to change default server region from the main menu. This is mostly meant for people whose networks block ping and where we can’t figure out a suitable default, though it can be used by anyone.
  • Added Glyph rewards for picking books with negative mutators.
  • Added class icons for players in the top-left Party section.
  • Trimmed down the number of ‘task’ style quests in each core quest group. The goal here is to make progression between major story beats happen faster.
  • Eat fish off the ground like an animal. You can now ctrl+click consumables on the ground to consume them directly without needing to first add them to your hotbar.
  • Renamed “SP” (Season Points) to “XP” to make it more clear what it’s for, especially now that levels are less tied to passes.
  • Increased XP gain from runs to help make these contribute more significantly and flattened out XP gain from runs so it’s more evenly distributed throughout the run.
  • Some daily quests have had their requirements lowered to match the new quick dive mode length.
  • Removed “general” chat completely. We still support “lobby” chat (formerly called “local”) to speak to players in the same world you are in and “party” chat for private conversations between your party.
  • Updated Fountains to heal 10 down from 15. This is part of an overall goal to have more chip damage and less death zones or big damage turns.
  • You can now choose to pass Font of Wisdom drafts to gain HP instead of taking one of the draft rewards. Regaining HP no longer needs to show up as a draft option, giving the player more choice. Common heal 5, Uncommon heal 7, Rare heal 9, Epic heal 12.
  • Players no longer automatically move to pickups on clicking, and instead receive a notification if out of range. This prevents accidentally ‘spending’ too much movement or moving to an undesired location when collecting them.
  • Some draft choices and your starting class now add some slight tilt towards Vestiges, abilities, or stats with similar attributes. If you draft a burn Binding, you are more likely to see more burn options show up, and so on.
  • Shrunk the size of the initial Sea of Ink to make you have to walk less to get to the action.
  • Run quests with less generic criteria only show up when you have an Aspect or Trinket that can help complete it.
  • The camera can now be dragged further than before.
  • Increased speed of draft open and close animations to make drafting snappier.
  • Made run quests with more complicated criteria easier to complete in multiplayer.
  • Display overkill in overhead UI to see how much damage the player needs to mitigate to survive.
  • When re-rolling Vestiges any Vestige you’ve already seen will not be shown again until the full pool of available options are consumed.
  • When re-rolling an Ascension it will avoid rolling the same base Binding whenever possible.
  • Status Effect keywords are now highlighted on tooltip and card body text to make them stand out more.
  • Implemented a more regimented system for restricting what enemies can get what Challenge Buffs. Overall should be more intuitive and less randomly punishing.
  • Reworked Shocked. Now when hitting an Enemy with Shocked you deal damage to all other enemies equal to 50% of the damage done, per stack. There were a few problems with the old version of Shocked we wanted to improve upon. The reward for Shocked was to be able to convert strong single target damage to area damage. But we felt Shocked wasn’t always clear what it would do, and tracking it across the entire arena was difficult. Also, boosting damage on the target itself by 50% made it a powerful damage booster in its own right, making it hard to balance for what it was intended as.
  • Changed the starter vault from Uncommon to Common in order to make Common Vestiges exist again and to counterbalance other changes which otherwise have made the early run easier.
  • The cosmetic shop now offers sales on the first page. These change at 10 AM PST on Mondays.
The Changing of the Season

With the launch of The Starship of Terrors certain season change events have occurred, listed below.

  • Season level has been reset to 1. We’ve stored your Season 1 level in our database and in the future we will let you see your past season levels earned!
  • Milestones have been reset. You can now earn XP from them again!
  • The seasonal Villain Defeat rewards have been moved to the shop and a new Victory Board feature and series of rewards now exist (see above).
New in the Starship of Terrors

New season specific Challenge Buffs.

New season specific Challenge Tiers, found at Tier 11, with season specific rewards.

New Vestiges

  • Added Uncommon Vestige Scattered Samples: On consuming an item in combat, gain 1 Will.
  • Added Rare Vestige Malfunctioning Multitool: On critting, Smite.
  • Added Epic Vestige Wit’s Bloodboiler: On dealing Bleed damage, gain 1 stack of Vigor.
  • Added Epic Vestige Special-Issue Stabilizer: On hitting an enemy with Frostbite, proc an additional stack of Frostbite. Does not stack.
  • Added Legendary Vestige Gavel of the Dam: On hitting, gain 1 stack of Shattered Will.
General Polish and Tuning
  • Removed ‘pass through ally’ mechanics from Mosscloak (Scavenger’s Dash) and Clairvoyant (Telekinesis), since these slow down play in multiplayer, where the optimal playstyle is having your teammates move close together during a turn without them spending their movement.
  • All levels now require 70K XP.
  • Rarer potions are slightly more likely to show up.
  • Movement Per Turn stat and Max HP stat will appear at fonts.
  • Updated new player tutorials to explain new movement changes.
  • Updated Vigor status effect: “On being hit, restore 1 HP and lose 1. On end of turn lose all stacks. Max 10 stacks.” >>> “On hitting, restore 1 HP. Lose 1 stack per Enemy hit. On end of turn lose all stacks. Max 10 stacks.”.
  • Updated Vulnerable. “Incoming damage from all sources increased by +100% until end of turn.” >>> “
  • Incoming damage from all sources increased by +50% until end of turn.”
  • Updated Burn, Poison, and Bleed tooltip to specify it triggering on ‘After Enemy attack’ instead of ‘On turn start’.
  • Updated Frostbite base damage from 25 >>> 30.
  • Updated potion Bloodthirst Blend: “Left Click Consume: Until end of turn, on being hit, restore 10 HP.” >>> “Left Click Consume: Until end of turn, on losing HP, restore 10 HP”.
  • Updated potion of Alacrity now gives 2 cooldown reduction instead of 3 but also gives 20 Movement.
  • Updated OHM quest to be more clear that they can be visited before beating the miniboss.
  • Made a change to hide all non-class Upgrade quest objectives until the upgrade has been found.
  • Made a change to hide all class Upgrade quest objectives until the upgrade has been found.
  • Split the damage over time run quests into two different versions, one that counts either burn or poison, and one that counts either frostbite or bleed. Rebalanced them to take into account that it counts the amount of stacks applied now.
  • Reduced XP gain from Milestones by 25% to balance against the other XP increases elsewhere.
  • Made Orb pickups higher priority compared to loot on the ground to fix issues where a Vestige could drop in combat, could be right on top of an orb, but then you couldn’t pick up the orb.
  • Damage Reduction can no longer reduce attacks to 0.
  • Streamlined several quests by removing grindier tasks. Shifting over to granting XP instead of Vestiges.
  • Swapped Legendary items unlocked for 2 Villain quests to make Vestige-related quests easier to complete without villain kills.
  • Increased status effect infliction milestones now that progress is tracked per stack inflicted instead of per instance of infliction.
  • Fixed Regeneration healing based on the source’s stacks instead of the target’s.
  • Fixed Resistant being able to be stacked.
  • Fixed Frostbite damage wording mentioning ‘per stack’.
  • Fixed rare potion Unstable Brew not granting -15 AP a turn after granting +15 AP.
  • Fixed Frostbite not splitting instances per player.
  • Fixed rare fountain magic power and physical power upgrades granting 4 Magic Power or Physical Power instead of 3.
  • Fixed a bug where the Theory of Lost Ink quest to defeat Janus before Training Mode could apply Inky
  • Might was becoming unachievable too early in multiplayer runs.
  • Fixed the issue where, when you had an augment and ascension upgrade available at the same time, an augment would disappear from the options if you ascended the Binding it was referring to.
  • Fixed bug with quests related to Hard Combat Encounters not working properly. Either counting progress or blocking progress depending on the quest.
  • Fixed issue with Blight dealing damage when spawned during the enemy turn.
  • Fixed bug with Treasure Chests not colliding with player after being opened.
  • Fixed Blight Ring rarely persisting after combat.
UI
  • Added player Rank and Season Level display above the heads of all players in the Atheneum.
  • Improved search functionality in Logbook Collections screen; search now will match keywords like ‘Will’.
  • Resolved issue where Argoloth’s tentacles could show their overhead bar while despawned.
  • Target selection for bounce/spread targeting types adjusted to account for larger hitboxes.
  • Adjusted dropdowns to be more consistently sized.
  • In drafts, tooltip text that previews damage amounts are hidden. So certain tooltips don’t say “(Total 0 damage)” anymore in a draft context, which we felt was confusing.
  • Added keybind for opening the Party Details screen — defaults to Tab.
  • Auras that affect enemies no longer show up on their status effect bar, since the information is otherwise contained on other locations attached to the player. The goal with this change is to reduce clutter on the status effect bar on enemies.
  • Fixed visual bug where holding Alt while hovering an enemy would sometimes fail to display the enemy’s name.
  • Fixed issue where notifications would fail to fire when progressing ability draft quests.
  • Renamed the default names for the first two chat tabs from “Global” -> “Chat” and “Party” -> “Party Only”.
  • Boss Overhead Visual now always shows predicted damage values.
  • Updated Party Details art to include trinkets and class passives.
  • Adjusted tutorial class select to show all class options, including locked ones.
  • Added tooltips to font of wisdom upgrades.
  • Hid Binding tooltip details like “(Damage: 123)” when hovering Bindings outside of combat because that information often doesn’t make sense outside of combat.
  • Improved readability of text on various screens by removing colored text in certain instances.
  • Added a bunch of keyword highlighting in various places.
  • Added support to show player names in combat when holding Info key (default Alt).
  • Fixed Spiked tooltip showing incorrect damage values if the player had damage resist.
  • Improved load times of dynamic UI icons, particularly in the Main Menu.
  • Resolved issue with overhead attack indicators not showing when reconnecting in combat.

If you haven’t played the game yet, go read our review here, where we said, “There’s a certain addictive and wondrous factor in Inkbound that creeps in and may trigger your childhood imagination, enticing you to go for just another run, time after time.”

Overwatch 2 Down and Experiencing Login Errors This August 24, and Here’s a Fix

If you’re having issues logging into Overwatch 2, or think Overwatch 2 is down but see other people playing, it’s not the servers, but there’s an easy fix.

The fix for this? Just restart your game and apply the game update released today! You can read about the changes made in title update right here.

Yes, it’s that simple, and it is a bit odd that this is happening now given how frequent the game gets updated. Hopefully, that’s it. If you still can’t connect after installing the patch released today on both PC and consoles, leave a comment below.

Destiny 2 Loadouts Issue From Latest Update Acknowledged by Bungie, Temporary Fix Incoming Next Week

Are you having a Destiny 2 loadouts issue after patch 7.2.0.1? If so, you’re not the only one. We have some good and bad news for guardians around the world playing.

Destiny 2 Loadouts Issue After Patch 7.2.0.1:

The good news? Bungie has a fix incoming next week, BUT it’s a temporary one. The actual fix has no date and will go live in a “future release.”

Per Bungie’s official Help Twitter account:

A temporary fix to re-enable Loadouts is targeted to be released next week. This temporary fix will not pull items from your vault.

A permanent fix is currently being tested and is scheduled to go live in a future release.

Just what is wrong with Destiny 2 loadouts?

After the patch this week, Bungie has temporarily disable the loadouts function. In-game, this will appear as loadouts being locked behind Guardian Ranks, which is not ideal.

Any existing loadouts will be saved and available to all players who have already unlocked them once once a fix has been released.

Changes are, we’ll be getting a patch next week for this, and once we do get one, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Omega Strikers Update 3.00 for August 24 Ushers in Season 2

Odyssey Interactive has kicked out Omega Strikers update 3.00 this August 24 for the game’s Season 2: Summer Splash content drop! Read on for what’s new in the official Omega Strikers Season 2 patch notes.

Omega Strikers Update 3.00 Patch Notes | Omega Strikers Season 2 Patch Notes:

WELCOME TO OMEGA STRIKERS 3.0.

Our fattest update yet, this patch features a TON of stuff. A CRAZY new striker, two crazy new maps, a new Striker Pass, new skins, and of course, AN ENTIRE VISUAL NOVEL. RIGHT THERE. IN THE GAME.
With great changes comes great patch notes, so let’s jump right into it. There’s A LOT.

SYSTEM CHANGES
VISUAL NOVEL

Yeah, you read that correctly. There’s an ENTIRE VISUAL NOVEL now in Omega Strikers for Summer Splash.
Head to the beach with Asher, Juno, Estelle, X, Juliette, or Dubu! Progress through the event, hang out with your new friends, get to know them better, and unlock new stuff in game! There’s even missions for you to complete, some of which will even grant you fresh new titles and emotes!

MAPS AND MODES
[NEW] Inky’s Splash Zone
  • We have a brand new map that’s incredibly interactive and breaks the boundaries of our previous designs! It’s always summer at Inky’s Splash Zone, always wild, and everyone is always prone to getting SOAKED. When you take down a barrier on this map, the corner without the barrier turns into a KO zone and gives your team access to a water blaster that’ll knock enemies into the deep end.
[NEW] Gates of Obscura
  • The Gates of Obscura take us in a different direction than the fun-loving Splash Zone. Here, we’ll explore the depths of the void and source of Rune’s power. The portals on the map will possibly get you turned-around and upside-down, but once you master them, you can melt the brains of your enemies and dominate the map. There’s crazy new angles on this map and things will get even spicier in Overtime, so keep your head on a swivel.
Maps Rotation
Like Awakenings, we’ll now rotate maps in and out on occasion to highlight new options and improve the meta.
  • Rotated Out: Ahten City and Demon Dais will have their places taken by the new maps: Inky’s Splash Zone and Gates of Obscura.
  • Maps’ Chance to Roll: Historically it’s been completely equal, but for the first weekend, Inky’s Splash Zone will have a higher chance to appear! We’ll probably highlight Gates of Obscura down the road as well!
UI / Systems
  • Recast abilities now have a slightly different icon background color when they’re reactivatable. Applies to:
    • Ai.Mi’s PRIMARY
    • Era’s SPECIAL
    • Finii’s SPECIAL
    • Rasmus’s SECONDARY
    • Vyce’s SECONDARY
    • X’s STRIKE
Ranked
  • It’s (soft) reset time! Congratulations on your climb for this season. We hope you climbed to where you wanted and didn’t tilt into oblivion. Let’s see what new heights you can soar to in Season 2!
    • Almost everyone will end up in silver or below, with the highest ranks (challenger and above) resetting to gold or platinum.
Skins/Content

Yeah there’s A LOT OF NEW SKINS. Some in the shop, some in the Striker Pass!

  • Summer Splash
    • Asher
    • Juno
    • Estelle
    • X
    • Dubu
    • Juliette
  • Spirit Warden Zentaro
    • Blackheart Spirit Warden Zentaro
    • Ghostwood Spirit Warden Zentaro
  • Red Rose Estelle
  • Cat Butler Kai
STRIKERS
ALL STRIKERS
We’ve seen some higher lethality overall during the early stages of matches than we’d like. We’re giving strikers a bit more breathing room before the brawl becomes overwhelming.
  • Base Stagger :: 1125 → 1200
[NEW] Kazan
Say hello to our little frenzied enforcer. Kazan is… crazy, but he’s got a soft side for family. Much like his personality, he has a wild and unique playstyle where he utilizes his umbrella in a variety of different ways – swapping forms, leaping about the map, and comboing his abilities together to be our most mechanically challenging Striker to date. He’s here to lend Clarion Corp a little extra muscle in exchange for their help curing his big Sis.
  • PRESS THE POINT (STRIKE)
    • Knock the Core with a LIGHT hit that has greater force generated by the point of the umbrella.
  • THE SLIP [SECONDARY]
    • Dash a short distance, passing by all targets.
  • CARRIED AWAY [POPPED SECONDARY]
    • Float up in the air, becoming Elusive. Elusive targets are invulnerable and untargetable.
  • CROOKED LEVERAGE [PRIMARY]
    • Hook all enemies in a line towards you.
  • TOP SPIN [POPPED PRIMARY]
    • LIGHTLY hit all enemies in a line, pushing them towards the top of the umbrella. The umbrella will then spin rapidly, dealing multiple LIGHT hits leading up to a final, more powerful flourish..
  • POP/RETRACT [SPECIAL]
    • Pop open or Retract the umbrella, unlocking a different set of abilities per form.
      Maddening Descent

: While floating from Carried Away, reactivate to dive downwards and slam all nearby enemies.

      Pop-Up:

During The Slip, popping the umbrella will hit all nearby enemies and stop the dash.

Finii
Finii is not really winiing so we’re reducing her Special cooldown. While we expect this to be an overall buff, we do have bugfixes that will also make the BIG FINISH slightly more fair for opponents to play around.
  • BIG FINISH [SPECIAL]
    • Cooldown :: 35s → 30s
    • The Core now can escape Big Finish noticeably easier especially when Energy Burst is used
    • [BUGFIX] No longer slows or vacuums enemies who are EVASIVE
    • [BUGFIX] Finii ultimate no longer incorrectly holds on to the core when being hit with Energy Burst
    • [BUGFIX] Implemented a likely fix to a rare bug where Finii ultimate would crash custom games.
      • If this still occurs, please let us know.
Juno
We’re giving Juno more control over Blobbos, especially for chained hits. The commands to Blobbos have to be made within a tighter window, but Blobbos will also hold the Core for a tad longer while waiting for Juno’s command.
  • STRIKE WITH FRIENDS (STRIKE PASSIVE)
    • Blobbos hold time :: .15s → .25s
    • Blobbos speed (as a % of Juno’s) :: 90% → 100%
    • Strike override (Juno’s command to direct Blobbo’s) linger duration :: .75s → .25s
    • [NEW] :: Juno’s Strike cooldown refreshes when a Blobbo uses Juno’s strike override direction
  • BLOB BOUNCE [SECONDARY]
    • [BUGFIX] Juno can now consistently strike the Core underneath her while she’s jumping
Luna
Her inventiveness has her more prepared than the average Striker to explore new maps!
  • B.O.O.S.T. [SECONDARY]
    • [NEW] Now extends duration when teleporting (relevant for Gates of Obscura)
Asher
Trying to fix more bugs on one of our more… bug prone Strikers.
  • [BUGFIX] Can now cast primary during her secondary without the ability cancelling
  • [BUGFIX] Primary shield has had some bug fixes to prevent the core from going through it. Again.
GEAR AND AWAKENINGS
Hotshot
Even with recent buffs, Hotshot is still more like warmshot. We’re touching it up to really push the pace.
  • Core Hit amplifier :: 12% → 15%
  • [BUGFIX] Description updated to include the maximum refund amount
Momentum Boots
Momentum Boots have been dominating the goalie gear slot for a while. By taking the Speed down a notch, they’ll grant less coverage of the goal arc.
  • Movement Speed per Stack :: 1.75% → 1.5%
  • Max Movement Speed over 10 seconds :: 22.5% → 20%
Primetime
The time has been prime for too long. We’re taking serious swings because it was simply the best for too many characters.
  • Hit Amp :: 5% → 0%
  • Hit Reduction :: 0% → 10% (2% for Core)
  • Standard recast time between charges :: .5s → 1.5s
    • Drek’Ar’s recast timing is unchanged
Strike Shot
Accidentally got shortened in 2.3, we’re finally bringing it back to its previous glory.
  • [BUGFIX] No longer unintentionally shorter. Missile speed corrected as well.
Pummelers
  • [BUGFIX] Speed buff is no longer lost when another haste effect is applied
Monumentalist
  • [BUGFIX] Now correctly increases damage and knockback for:
    • Ai.Mi special
    • Finii Special
    • Asher Special
Orbs
  • A new set of Orb trainings can be found in Quickplay!
BUG FIXES
  • Ai.Mi Secondary no longer locks her out from using eject button slightly longer than intended
  • Dubu Special no longer sends the Core flying at mach 5 (it’ll still go fast, but won’t break the Core speed cap)
  • Rasmus’s and Drek’ar’s SECONDARIES are now appropriately tagged as BUFFS (previously just HASTES).
  • Heavy Impact should now work when an ability hits two friendly units
  • Tactical callouts probably work correctly now all the time. (Probably. We did some stuff and can’t reproduce the bug any longer, but it
    may

still occur. Let us know if it does.)

  • Fixed a bug that caused some players to experience some issues when entering overtime when playing in non-english languages
  • Emotes and tactical callouts should no longer get stuck above player’s heads for the whole game.
  • Added missing tags on the following abilities: (gameplay unchanged)
    • Added Melee Tag to Zentaro Special
    • Added Buff tag to Rasmus Secondary
    • Added buff tag to Drek’ar Secondary
  • Can now activate Night Market speed gates while elusive.
  • Fixed a bug causing Rasmus to lose Twin Drive benefits if his secondary was recast at the last second.
  • Kai Special now properly explodes when hitting targets at close range.
  • Fixed a rare bug that caused Juno to become stuck in her secondary.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some players to report extremely incorrect latency values, which resulted in poor server placement
  • Made some additional stability improvements to Dubu special to prevent the core from passing through it.

If you still haven’t played the game yet, go read our review why it’s worth a shot.

Xbox Has No Plans for a Series X|S Mid-Gen Refresh

Microsoft Gaming CEO, Phil Spencer, stated reasons why Xbox does not need a mid-gen refresh right now. The Xbox executive sat down with Eurogamer at gamescom, and touched upon the topic of why a mid-generation upgrade for the Xbox Series X|S is not needed as they did in the previous generation (with Xbox One S and Xbox One X).

Spencer says:

I think what we get ourselves into is this world of like, ‘Should we do a mid-gen refresh? Because we think every game should be 4K 60fps. And we’re not seeing that right now so, clearly, we need to mid-gen refresh.’

As soon as you start doing mid-gen refreshes, you’ve got a bunch of issues in front of developers, on what platform they target. And it starts to feel a lot more like PC – which is clearly a good ecosystem that’s healthy, but then I’m like, ‘Okay, well, what’s the difference then between console and PC, if we’re in this mode of every two years, a new GPU comes out, or CPU?’

And there’s a bunch of things. I mean, we are the Windows company. We know what it means to run a platform that’s more continuous and, I will say, open. I actually love that for console gaming.

With Xbox’s main competitor, PlayStation reportedly having two separate models planned for the PS5 mid-gen upgrade including the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro, do you think Xbox skipping out on the mid-gen refresh is the right thing to do? Let us know in the comments below.

For more gamescom coverage, stay tuned to MP1st.

Overwatch 2 Update 1.000.023 Rolled Out This August 24

Overwatch 2 update 1.000.023 is out now on all platforms this August 24, and this brings in player progression adjustments, hero fixes and more. Read on for the new OW2 update patch notes for today.

Overwatch 2 Update 1.000.023 Patch Notes | OW2 New Update Patch Notes:

GENERAL UPDATES

Player Progression

Updated the Wins sub-badge level-up requirement from 2 to 1 across all heroes, game modes, and roles and re-tuned XP granted to balance.

HERO UPDATES

SUPPORT

Illari
Healing Pylon

Heal decreased from 40 to 30.

  • Shields decreased from 75 to 50.

Captive Sun
Projectile Impact and explosion are now blocked by barriers.

  • Projectile size decreased from 1.5 to 0.75 meters.
  • Sunstruck duration decreased from 7 to 6 seconds.

Dev Comments: Illari has had a strong showing since her launch. The following changes are meant to promote a better balance between healing and damage while adding more counterplay against her abilities. We are making the Healing Pylon weaker, as it’s often placed out of line-of-sight or at odd angles and isn’t being destroyed as often as we expect. Captive Sun ignoring barriers is not immediately intuitive, but we are also reducing the projectile size, so blocking or destroying will require more precision. Finally, the Sunstruck effect lasts too long to reasonably avoid the detonation damage threshold.

BUG FIXES

GENERAL

  • Fixed bug where some event challenges weren’t counting towards “Savior of the Underworld” for the Brigitte Sparkplug skin.
  • Fixed an issue that made the Ashe Snakewrangler Skin in the Battle Pass a premium reward instead of a free one. Any player on the free Battle Pass track who already unlocked this tier will receive this skin automatically.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in players backfilling into the Underworld Event Mission and Invasion Story Missions.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Spectating of players in the Underworld Event Mission and Invasion Story Missions.

HEROES

Bastion

  • Fixed an issue where the “Medal Victory” pose was not listed in the Hero Gallery.

Echo

  • Fixed an issue with cloned Illari’s Captive Sun explosion, damaging herself and her allies.

Orisa

  • Fixed an issue where the “Who Said Chivalry Is Dead?” voice line is missing from Hero Gallery.
  • Fixed an issue where Orisa World Cup Skin was inaccessible.

MISSIONS

Toronto

  • Fixed in a previous update – Fixed an issue with Slicers clipping into the Ferry, making them difficult to target.

Gothenburg

  • Fixed in a previous update – Fixed an issue where “The Babies Are Safe” challenge was unable to be completed.
  • Fixed an issue with the Titan being invisible for the first few seconds of its intro.
  • Fixed an issue with an invisible collision around the Mega-Cannon that blocks Brigitte’s Shield Bash and Whip Shot.

Underworld

  • Fixed in a previous update – Fixed an issue where the “Stop, Thief!” challenge was unable to be completed.

That’s it for this patch. Once a new one is released, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
