New Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Rewards This Week August 4, 2023:
Reputation System, Trials Engrams, and Adept Farming:
Win individual rounds within each match to gain Trials reputation. The amount of reputation you gain increases with each round you’ve won on your card. Earn enough reputation, and you’ll be able to claim a Trials Engram from Saint-14! This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the number of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).
Once you have gone Flawless, keep playing! Every win you achieve while at the 7-win level, even if you lose your Flawless, has a chance to drop bonus Trials Engrams, adept weapons, prisms, and even Ascendant Shards. There is no penalty for losing once you’ve made it to the Lighthouse!
When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone Flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.

According to a now-deleted post by Warner Brother Games South Africa, it seems like a new LEGO Harry Potter game will seemingly be announced at gamescom 2023.
What seems like an accidental post went live on Instagram and contained a picture of the LEGO version of Harry Potter, and has the date August 25, 2023 written all over it. This has caused people to speculate that a Harry Potter game will be announced or showcased in some form at gamescom 2023, as it runs from August 23 through August 27.
While the deleted poster does not contain a title for the speculated game, fans are convinced that it will be a title that consists of the entire series of LEGO Harry Potter games, much like what the company did with the LEGO Star Wars franchise. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga consisted of the entire seven LEGO Star Wars titles that had been released.
Fans think that way due to a rumor that was floating around earlier in the year which claimed that TT Games is going to give The Skywalker Saga treatment to the LEGO Harry Potter franchise.
No matter how well it lines up, or how realistic the report seems, we still caution our readers to take everything you have read with a grain of salt until an official announcement by Warner Brother Games is made.

Gun Interactive has detailed The Texas Chain Saw Massacre metagame mode, including what it exactly is and how it works. Everything from leveling up to exploring the Skill Tree has been explained by the developers in detail and we will be breaking it down for you.
Where do you start?
Whether you are a member of The Family or a Victim, each character comes with an ability, as well as various Perks and attributes. These can all be saved into loadouts. There will be 5 slots available per character for customizable loadouts. This means that there can be different loadouts for different gameplay styles.
Abilities will be the core of each character’s uniqueness. This ties to their roles, strengths, and weaknesses. Every ability is able to be upgraded in the Skill Tree.
Family members can equip abilities called the “Grandpa’s abilities.” If a family member feeds on Grandpa’s blood, they will be able to:
Raise his power level
Pave the way for Grandpa to unlock more abilities
Use an unlocked ability in a special slot on the character loadout screen
Perks
Perks can modify a character to give them a certain advantage in a specific skill. All Perks are selected and equpped in the loadout Menu.
Players can apply up to 3 Perks per loadout, with a total of 5 loadouts. This means that each character has the potential to leverage a total of 15 Perks from within their loadouts.
You can access Perk selections through a character’s Skill Tree. Only Perks that have been unlocked in the Skill Tree can be equipped on the loadout screen.
Increasing the level of a Perk requires that you equip it in the loadout menu. Perks will level up as you play. Perks can range from recovering stamina after not being hurt to increasing stamina in hiding spots or shadows.
Perks will vary depending on how you build your loadout and which character you are playing. Some fun Perks to keep an eye out for will be those that aid in not only making your character stronger but also helps The Family or other Victims you’re playing with.
Key Perks for Victims:
Rally Leader
When you rally the team by helping other Victims, you and your team will recover from being incapacitated faster
Parting Gift
When one Victim escapes, all Family Members will be highlighted for the Perk holder
Bounce Back Better
Healing Items you use are more effective
Key Perks for The Family:
Unrelenting
This increases your Endurance
Tracker Tagged
Hitting a Victim will highlight them for all Family Members
Exterior Alarms
When active, all critical doors and gates are highlighted if they’re opened
Attributes
Attributes include:
Toughness
Endurance
Strength
Proficiency
Stealth
Attributes can be highlighted in the menu and can be adjusted with unlocked attribute points. Family members each have their own special abilities and attributes with Savagery, Blood Harvesting, and Endurance.
Players can unlock attribute points through a character’s Skill Tree. You can use attribute points to compensate for weaknesses or boost strengths.
Levelling Up:
Here are some of the actions that can earn you XP:
Winning a close encounter
Turning the generator on
Escaping/dismantling traps
Healing your teammates
Skill Tree:
The Skill Tree is where players can earn and collect new features for the characters they are playing as. This is how you will populate your loadout. Every character has their own Skill Tree with a unique layout. Progressing through the Skill Tree is how players will expand each character’s loadout possibilities.
In order to progress through the Skill Tree, players will have to buy nodes. These nodes can be bought with Skill Points (SP) which you will gain by leveling up your overall Player Level.
Different types of Nodes will be:
Grandpa’s ability nodes
These are only for Family members
Nodes will unlock Grandpa abilities which can be equipped from the loadout screen
Buffs for the Family can be unlocked during a match by feeding Grandpa blood
Random nodes
Random selection of Perks that are not part of a character’s main Skill Tree
That about sums up the details provided by Gun Interactive. If you’re hoping to find out more about the metagame, you can head on over to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’s official website. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be released this August 18 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
While we usually avoid any “leaked” info from 4chan, the latest development that transpired today made us think this is the real deal. I’m referring to the Tekken 8 roster images leak, which is different from the partial roster that was datamined from the closed beta test.
Over on 4chan, the following image was shared (via ArcWardenScrub):
As you can see, there seems to be two new fighters to the franchise, which we don’t know anything about for now.
Yes, it’s blurry and whatnot, which is the standard for fake screenshots, right? However, Bandai Namco has began taking down (issuing copyright notices) YouTube videos today, which most likely means the image is the real deal!
The video talking about the roster image leak has since been taken down. Again, this is not confirmation it is the real deal, but that is as close as we can get. For reference, publishers can do this for their games, which Activision recently did for a Modern Warfare 3 leak. Again, this is not a confirmation that this is legit, so take it with a grain of salt (still). We should hear more about Tekken 8 at this weekend’s EVO fighting game event.
While Tekken 8 has no firm release date yet, we’re expecting it to be released sometime this year given we are already in the closed beta phase. Once we know more about it, we’ll let our readers know.

Maxis has released The Sims 4 update 1.79 on all platforms, and this brings a long list of bug fixes to the game. Read on for the official The Sims 4 new update patch notes for August 3.
The Sims 4 Update 1.79 Patch Notes:
Bug Fixes
Base Game
The female outfit with a foldover sweater (yfBody_EF18LongPant_RedandWhite) now keeps its hands to itself when the camera is far away.
Circular Roofs once again have shingles that lay properly.
L-shaped stairs that are two or more tiles wide no longer have a misplaced triangular section on the side.
Floor and Ceiling Pattern names have been updated since they now apply to both. Try them out for Painted Ceilings if you have not already!
Lessons about camera controls now have images that include the updated “Free Camera.” If you haven’t tried it out yet, use it to check out Ceilings that you now can customize!
Growing Together
The “Screen Smarts” Moodlet that children get for watching the Brainchild Learning television channel now has text in all languages.
Horse Ranch
Live Mode
Dazed newborn Foals that are fed an Age-Up Treat now become adults who maintain their “Horseness” when going on rides so they don’t walk upright like Sims.
Sims occasionally were stuck staring into space while starting activities such as eating or cooking. It turns out this was a possible side effect of going home from another location via “Ride Home”. Well, no longer! Sims now can enjoy their post-ride meal.
Sims on Horseback who select a “Community Job” from the Ranch Community Board now remain mounted in most cases when heading to the Job.
For new games in Chestnut Ridge, Emily now only recommends affordable starter lots.
The Welcome Wagon no longer sometimes overstays its welcome because nothing says ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood’ like a bladder mishap on the porch.
“Ask About The Community” on a Chestnut Ridge resident now consistently shows the neighborhood Ranch Community Board when selecting “View Board.”
Horses that are uncomfortable now shake their head less frequently while trotting or cantering. To learn more about how a Horse is feeling, just hover the cursor over the Horse or ask an unhappy Horse “What’s Wrong?“
Horses move more naturally while walking, trotting, and cantering.
Horses running around for Fun now run in more direct paths and avoid running through Gates.
Horses now are less likely to loop through Gates.
When engaging camera auto-follow on the active Sim who is riding on a lot with walls set to “Medium” or “Tall,” the rider now remains firmly mounted instead of skyrocketing above the world. Sims are better off exploring worlds from the relative safety of the saddle!
Sims keep their hands on the reins when their Horse moves on his or her own.
Sims making Nectar no longer freeze up when another Sim uses certain greetings with them or when making jokes about Body Hair. It’s just a neighborly hello with jokes on hold until after the Nectar is made!
The Mysterious Rancher now pays the full amount of Simoleons when a Sim sells multiple bottles of Nectar at once.
Selecting “Hire a Ranch Hand” on a Ranch Community Board and then switching to a Child now shows the initial Sim’s phone interface after selecting “Call to Hire Ranch Hand.”
Horse Training options that the Sim cannot afford now have a tooltip that correctly states the Sim’s name.
Sims who are not Father Winter no longer travel to locations such as the Equestrian Center via fireplaces. Chimney transportation is reserved!
Sims now can enter only one Horse Competition at a time. This prevents Horses from sometimes getting confused and staying in the Equestrian Center.
Sims who lose an Elder Horse friend or acquaintance to death or who witness one passing now have a “Mourning Horse”Moodlet. Rest in peace, noble steed.
On Horse Jumps, “Practice Advanced Jumps“ now kicks up dust from the ground properly when the Horse knocks off the top rail.
When selling many Mini Goats or Mini Sheep in rapid succession, the chance of one being left behind and i n v i s i b l e is lower now. If you encounter this, “Save” and “Reload” to resolve the issue.
Lots you can visit no longer have the “Place Animal…“ interaction.
“Sniff“ and “Nuzzle“ interactions with Foals and Adult Horses no longer occasionally contort the Sim’s arms.
Manure/poop is more performant at the gameplay engine level. You heard that right – we “polished” this fertilizer powerhouse.
Horses in locked, enclosed spaces or who otherwise cannot get to the edge of the lot now can be sold successfully.
Build Mode
Rust’n Chic Table Lamp now can live a life independent of walls. It now slots onto the typical horizontal surfaces rather than snapping to walls.
Paddock Fencing and Sturdy Ranch Fencing now can be built with rounded corners.
Rancher’s Dream Window’s black design now is fully black.
Cormac Pine End Table’s white design now has a white swatch.
Create a Sim
Selecting a premade shape for a Horse’s head now preserves the Mane and Tail Color and any Feathers. Did you know in real life that the Arabian’s concave head profile is described as “dish“-shaped and muzzles (noses) with a convex profile are called a “Roman nose”?
Horses now are fully visible after undoing accessories while the “Coat Color & Pattern” section is still highlighted. No i n v i s i b l e Horses here!
Premade face shapes for Sims were missing for games that had Horse Ranch and not Werewolves. They’re back now!
“Plan Outfits“ for Foals now includes Mane and Forelock selection.
Foals now have better framing in the Gallery. Who can resist that cute face??

If you’re playing Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, you might have come across save issues and how you might have a problem loading your game file as well. If so, we’re here to help with the Baldur’s Gate save issues with a detailed way on how to fix it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Save Issues Fix:
Are you shutting down all non-essential programs before starting the game, especially anti-virus and any backup programs, etc, that may be monitoring disk activity?
For example, a few people have had BitDefender block the game from being able to create files and folders, which has caused errors when loading. In those cases, including both the game executables and Larian Studios local AppData folder in BitDefender’s trusted app and directory sections would fix the problem (Advance Threat Defense, Ransomware Protection / Safe Files, Application Access).
Windows Defender has also caused issues (generally file system errors); in that case an exception for the game can be made in Start, Settings, Updates & Security, Windows Security, Virus & threat protection, Virus & threat protection settings, Add or remove exclusions.
At least in patch 6 Avast and AVG have caused various save issues by blocking the game’s access to the My Documents folder (one person reported it was the launcher that was the issue for Avast, and adding LariLauncher.exe to the trusted apps list fixed the problem; another reported that AVG quarantined the launcher). This has been less of an issue since patch 7, with the change to save the profiles in the local AppData folder.
Try browsing to the ‘C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\LevelCache’ folder and delete the contents. A corrupt file there can cause problems when saving or loading. The easiest way to get there would be to copy the line below into the location bar in Explorer and hit Enter. %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3\LevelCache
Try verifying local files: in the Steam library, right click on the game and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files…’ button.
With the GOG version, in the (optional) Galaxy client, select the game, then the settings icon at the top right (beside the Play button) and under Manage Installation select ‘Verify / Repair’.
Try exiting out of the Steam client, or Galaxy for the GOG version, and starting the game directly from the ‘..\SteamApps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin’ folder, by right clicking the executable (bg3.exe for Vulkan, or bg3_dx11.exe) and running as administrator.
If applicable, disable Steam cloud support either globally (in the client click on the Steam menu and select Settings, and then Cloud) or just for this game (in the library right click BG3 and select Properties, then switch to the General tab and check the Steam Cloud section). Alternately, exit out of the Steam client, or Galaxy for the GOG version, and just start the game directly from the executable when required.
Next, try browsing to the ‘C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Larian Studios’ folder and rename the ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ subfolder. The easiest way to get there would be to copy %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios into the location bar in Explorer and hit Enter. This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing. With Steam/Galaxy running and cloud support enabled, the client would just download the cloud copy of your existing profile. If you played in patch 6 or earlier and still have those profiles and saves, also browse to the ‘..\Documents\Larian Studios’ folder and rename the ‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ subfolder there (or delete it if you don’t want to keep the saves), so the game does not copy the game’s earlier Documents folder to the local AppData folder (as part of the startup procedure if there is no existing local AppData folder).
After that, start the game and check that you can start a new game and save/load. If you still have the same issue, delete the new BG3 folder and rename the original back again.
If a new game in a new profile folder also has the same issue:
Try doing a clean boot and then test the game. Click Start, or hit WinKey-R, type in msconfig and hit enter; in the General tab, click Selective Startup, uncheck Load startup items (if required) and leave Load system services and Use original boot configuration options checked. Next, click on the Services tab, check the box to Hide all Microsoft services, then click the Disable All button (maybe make a note of which are currently enabled/disabled), then click OK and reboot the computer. Run msconfig again to switch back to the normal boot configuration.
Try creating a new Windows administrator user account, switch to that account and try starting the game from there, directly from the executable.
Stay tuned to our review of Baldur’s Gate 3 hitting the site at some point soon.
While Battlefield 2042’s redemption arc is still on-going, to say the game had a rocky launch is an understatement. Not only did it not fare well critically at launch, but it failed to resonate with Battlefield franchise vets as well. One of the main issues players brought up were the Specialists, and how it deviated too much from the traditional Battlefield class system.
In an interview, DICE Senior Producer Ryan McArthur talks about one of main sore spots players had with BF2042, and that was with Specialists replacing classes. McArthur talks about the major overhaul DICE did in Season 3 to make Specialists feel more like your traditional Battlefield class, and how a lot of the issues players had with Specialists stemmed from the fact that they didn’t understand how it was supposed to work.
“When we look back at the data, and when we really started moving forward with introducing the class systems, one of the big things we really started to understand was that a lot of our issues came from the fact that players didn’t understand how the Specialists were supposed to work. And if you don’t understand how something is supposed to work, of course you believe that the old way was better. Feedback from players was really good around this. So we had to find a way to give them what they wanted, but still allow us the freedom and flexibility that we originally wanted too.”
McArthur talked about how DICE botched the communication part on how Specialists should work and how it should have fit each class structure.
Each of these Specialists were originally designed to fit within the class structure that we had in previous games. We just didn’t land that communication, or execute it in a way that players understood what role each Specialist was supposed to play…We underestimated the need to make sure that we constantly tie these things back to the original pillars of Battlefield – class gameplay, squadplay, and teamwork. This is one of the big places where we fell.
Do you agree with McArthur’s statements? Would the fanbase have reacted differently to Specialists if they were communicated better? Sound off in the comments below.
Following a few trailers for Apex Legends Resurrection, Respawn has now revealed the Apex Legends Resurrection release date and it’s August 8! In addition to that, Respawn has also shared the Apex Legends Revenant rework, weapon changes and loads more.
Apex Legends Resurrection – Revenant Changes, Weapon Changes, New Content:
LEGEND UPDATE: REVENANT
For the entire duration of the season, Revenant will be free for all players all season long. There will be challenges to complete during the season, and completing them all will unlock Revenant permanently after the season ends.
PASSIVE: Assassin’s Instinct
Highlight nearby visible enemies who are low on health. You crouch walk faster and have improved wall climbing.
TACTICAL: Shadow Pounce
Unleash a powerful pounce forwards. Hold to charge for farther distances.
ULTIMATE: Forged Shadows
Forge a shroud of hardened shadows around you that blocks direct damage and regenerates after breaking. Your shadows and tactical are refreshed on knockdowns.
Revenant will be unlocked for all players, all-season long. Players can complete challenges by using Revenant throughout the season in order to unlock him permanently.
CHARGE RIFLE UPDATE
The Charge Rifle has been re-designed for immediate use in the Apex Games. No longer does the infamous weapon fire a sustained beam. Newly fitted with an Extended Sniper Mag attachment slot and boasting a number of changes to its firing mechanisms, Legends familiar with the anti-Titan model available during the Frontier Wars should feel right at home.
Holding the trigger down will increase the weapon’s charge, while releasing the trigger will decrease it. Once fully charged, a powerful energy projectile is released which deals increased damage the further it travels. This projectile can pierce through multiple enemy Legends, so watch out which teammates you cozy up to!
Much like Revenant, the Charge Rifle is getting reworked in Season 18. Marked as an “outlier” in its mechanics, it’s been updated and brought in line with a certain other Charge Rifle from the past.
These changes include the removal of hitscan, making it a projectile based weapon with bullet drop, removing the pre-beam laser, and taking a pass at the handling timing (see: reloads, draws).
It also no longer automatically releases its projectile. You’ll need to charge it up (hence the name) and release the button once it’s fully charged to fire it. If you release it too early, it wont fire and will lose its charge.
The new mechanics also encourage longer-range gameplay, as it does more damage the further away the target is.
Finally, magazines have been reintroduced for use and the ammo consumption lowered per shot down to 1.
The Prowler: Select Fire Returns
…in the care package! The Prowler will be entering the care package in Season 18, but with the added fun of the much beloved Select Fire.
Disruptor Rounds
The Disruptor Rounds return in Season 18… with a twist. Dealing increased shield damage, it will still remain a hopup for the Alternator… and now, the Peacekeeper. Yes, a shotgun with Disruptor Rounds.
(Side note: my jaw literally dropped when I heard this.)
Other Weapon Changes
Mastiff
Blast pattern will be tightened for more consistency.
Hemlok
The Hemlok will return to the floor, and will be getting a damage and recoil buff compared to its previous non-crated version.
R-99
The R-99 will get increased horizontal recoil, and will have reduced max ammo with no mag and all the mags as well.
SMGs
All SMGs will have reduced strafe speed and a headshot multiplayer reduction.
MIX TAPE: BROKEN MOON
NEW TDM & GUN RUN MAP: THE CORE
Broken Moon is coming to Mixtape! The Core provides a new and exciting battlefield for Gun Run and TDM. Occupying the central building gives great high ground and wide-open sightlines making it a prime location to fight over. Or take to the outer ring for prime access to Care Packages.
The Core is a little bit bigger than what we’ve played previously. Zip rails help players rotate towards the action quickly and open sightlines promote a different style of gameplay and weapon meta than the other more personal, scrappier maps.
NEW CONTROL MAP: PRODUCTION YARD
It’s been a while since our last Control map and Broken Moon brings Production Yard to Control. Contrary to our other Broken Moon map for Mixtape, Production Yard provides an intense, scrappy experience in tight quarters. Lots of boxes and cover to duck around and tight corners to set-up defense or ambushes.
Also featuring Broken Moon’s Zip rails, combat pace is really high on this map and allows players to quickly shift from attacking and defending at a moment’s notice. We’re hoping players find a lot of different strategies in either bunkering up and covering angles or finding some sneaky back caps using zip rails and corners.
Ranked in Resurrection
The big takeaway is that the devs are prepared for this season with more tuning for ranks, and have patched out the bug that allowed large amounts of players to easily climb to Masters by getting larger bonuses than they should’ve. Players who earned Masters in season 17 will have a harder time climbing back up to that rank.
Players in Diamond and above will have higher stakes in the form in LP Losses and decreased Rating Bonuses and Loss Mitigation. This is in the hopes that it will better distribute players among the ranks.
All ranks will now have a “Minimum Bonus” for eliminations. While the bonuses might decrease for higher ranks, you’ll always be able to count on eliminations to give you a small bonus.
Note: whatever rank you did earn in season 17, you will keep the rewards for the highest rank that you achieved. Respawn has no intention of taking those awards away from you.
Speaking of rewards, however: After the Season 18 ranked season, dive trails will no longer be a reward you can earn from ranks. The reason being that players with dive trails were often targeted by others, and created a toxic feeling for something that should be a reward for achieving a higher rank. After Season 18, the trails will be replaced with Ranked Banner Frames.
As for badges, all ranked badges will now default to the animated version of the badges at the end of each season.
On Preventing Ratting
In addition to fixing parts of the map that allowed people to easily rat, and more rewards for being aggressive in fights, ring updates will will encourage more movement and fights. More ring movements, higher ring damage early game and less ring damage late game, all to bring shorter match lengths and increase the pacing.
DEATH DYNASTY COLLECTION EVENT
Death becomes you, Legends. Our first event of Resurrection will be launching with the season, and you’ll be handsomely rewarded with double XP in Battle Royale from August 8-15 and then in Mixtape from August 15-22.
COLLECTION EVENT ITEMS
Capture 24 limited-time cosmetics before they expire, with Legendary skins for Catalyst, Loba, and more!
All 24 items will be available in exchange for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals and in Death Dynasty Event Apex Packs for the entire duration of the event.
You’ll automatically receive Revenant’s Death Grip Heirloom set once you’ve secured all 24 items for your eternal collection.
REWARD TRACKER
Earn up to 1,600 points per day, challenges refresh daily and all challenges will stack with your Battle Pass so you can complete multiple challenges at once. Complete additional goals to unlock three unique event badges and complete all three to earn a final fourth badge.
Misc. Talking Points
Future Legend Reworks
As of now, there are not a lot of plans for major legend reworks like Revenants in the near future. Revenant provided a good opportunity for the devs to rework his kit to better fit in with the current landscape of legends.
Tracking People with Revenants Passive
There is no limit to the amount of enemies Revenant can track with his passive! As long as they are in a pretty close range, they will be picked up/scanned and shown if they are below 40 HP.
Seer Nerf
The buff Seer got in Season 17 was a little too strong, but in Season 18 his tactical will be slightly easier to evade and the tracking/slow time reduced.
Ballistics Tactical
Ballistics tactical was very hard to avoid in close quarters, often making it impossible to avoid. There has been a small leniency added to make it more predictable and easier to deal with in those close quarters situations.
Any more in-game story events like in Season 17?
There will not be any in-game cinematic events like A Thiefs Bane, but there will be in-game tie ins to stories they are trying to tell, with additional episodes of Kill Code as well.
Note that the official patch notes will be revealed on August 7, and once that’s live, we’ll be sure to let our readers know about it.
