New AAA Game Studio “Lighthouse Games” Launched by Former Playground Games Co-Founder

Following a report that a new AAA studio named “Maverick Games” was founded in January, another AAA game company titled “Lighthouse Games” was announced. Both Lighthouse Games and Maverick Games were founded by former developers from another game studio, Playground Games.

Lighthouse Games was founded by Gavin Raeburn, who played a key role in the development of the Forza Horizon games. He currently leads a team of 30 in Lighthouse and is set to work on a triple-A title. “People should be looking at Lighthouse expecting that we’ll be producing something highly polished and technologically ambitious,” Raeburn stated in an interview with GamesIndustry. Interestingly enough, Lighthouse Games is currently based in Leamington Spa, where Playground Games also currently resides.

Raeburn is also open to graduate applications and is looking to support local universities through Lighthouse Games.

I witnessed so many success stories at Playground, where new graduates became these wonderful galvanising influences within the team,” he says. “So many of the stars we had at Playground started this way, which genuinely makes me very proud. Lighthouse will continue that tradition, welcoming the best graduate talent from across the UK and beyond, and putting heart and experience into elevating the potential of all who join us. Every one of our discipline leads are passionate about mentoring and sharing their knowledge, and I can’t wait to see how we can help support and develop the next generation of developers.

With Lighthouse Games still in its infancy, we likely won’t hear from the studio for a while, but it will be interesting to see what AAA title Raeburn and his team have in store for gamers.

Silent Hill 2 Remake May Upset People, Claims Former Series Writer

With the Silent Hill 2 remake announced last year, many within the Silent Hill community and beyond have speculated as to what the game has in store for players, given that it has yet to have an official release date. A recent statement made by a former Silent Hill series writer, however, may suggest that the game will be divisive for some players due to the nature of remakes.

Sam Barlow, a writer who worked on games such as Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Silent Hil Origins, has claimed that the Silent Hill 2 remake may upset players. “It’s also like the biggest poison chalice in videogames, doing a remaster of Silent Hill 2. I mean, good luck to them because I don’t know how you can do that without upsetting people,” said Barlow in a conversation with PCGamesN at GDC 2023.

While the statement may read as putting Silent Hill 2 in a negative light, it’s likely that Barlow instead referred to the game as a “poison chalice” due to it being difficult to deliver on the expectations of Silent Hill fans, especially those who enjoyed the original sequel. The remake actually received a bit of criticism when the announcement trailer was released in October due to the infamous mirror scene. This prompted Silent Hill illustrator Masahiro Ito to dismiss the popular fan theory that protagonist James Sunderland was actually looking at the player while staring through the mirror.

Once more information on the Silent Hill 2 remake crops up, we’ll keep you updated.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Production to Be Aided by Mass Effect Team; Ex-Dev Returns as Consultant

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the upcoming fantasy RPG by BioWare, is getting some more manpower as the game nears its eventual release. A recent report has revealed that a former developer will be returning to work on the project as a consultant alongside support from the Mass Effect team.

The report, published by GamesBeat, stated that former BioWare Executive Producer Mark Darrah has returned to work on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf as a consultant. Here’s the full statement from Gary McKay, BioWare’s general manager:

We continue to iterate and polish Dreadwolf, focusing on the things that matter most to our fans. As we further connect this new experience with the series’ legacy Mark Darrah will join the team as a consultant, bringing with him years of experience working on Dragon Age. We’re proud to have this team, with strong leadership at the helm, working together to realize the vision we have for the game.

Alongside Darrah’s current involvement, BioWare will be getting assistance from the studio’s Mass Effect team. This is possible due to the next Mass Effect game still being pretty early in development.

With no release date for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in sight, there isn’t much to look forward to just yet, but with the recent support from the Mass Effect team and Darrah as a consultant, Dreadwolf may become a solid addition to the Dragon Age franchise when it launches.

Saints Row Roadmap for 2023 Revealed, Includes Three Expansions and More

A Saints Row roadmap for 2023 has been published by Deep Silver Volition, revealing three expansions and a cosmetic pack all coming to the game by August this year. It reveals that there will be upcoming content for players with or without the expansion pass, so you don’t need to shell out extra funds to try out some of the new features for free.

The roadmap begins with a free content update in April featuring a cosmetic pack for Dead Island 2, the upcoming zombie survival game that launches on April 21. Following the cosmetic pack, three expansions are set for May, July, and August. May will introduce The Heist and The Hazardous, while July will feature Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus. The third expansion in August doesn’t have a name just yet, but we’ll likely be getting an update on that as we get closer to its release.

Based on the official blog post, The Heist and The Hazardous will likely be expansions for the Saints Row campaign, whereas Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus will be a new solo mode for players to try out.

While the expansions themselves will only be available via the expansion pass, free updates will also come to the game alongside the DLCs. We’re counting on fixes to be included in the content drops as well.

For those keeping tabs, the latest title update released for the game was back in November of 2022, which means we’ve now gone over three months without any patch to further improve the game.

SEGA and Level Infinite Backing Out of E3 2023

In yet another blow for what was once gaming’s premier showcase event, SEGA and Tencent Games subsidiary Level Infinite have both pulled out of E3 2023, leaving the future of the event now in active danger.

With gaming behemoths Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo already having declined to attend, Ubisoft pulled out of E3 2023 yesterday despite having promised earlier to bring a “strong line-up” of games to the event. That decision seems to have triggered a domino effect in the industry, as SEGA and Level Infinite have both announced that they no longer plan to attend the event.

SEGA’s statement reads:

After careful consideration, we have decided not to participate in E3 2023 as an exhibitor. We look forward to sharing more information on announced and unannounced projects in the future.

As for Level Infinite, Tencent Games confirmed a no-show for its subsidiary at the event, but did additionally state that it finds Geoff Keighley’s competing Play Days event (which is happening again this year) “an ideal experience for showcasing [its] games to the media.” That likely means that it will be present in some form at the latter event instead. The same goes for Bandai Namco Entertainment, which declined to comment on its E3 presence but confirmed that it would be attending Play Days.

Elsewhere, Devolver Digital has confirmed that it will not be holding its E3-adjacent event this year, instead focusing on its Devolver Direct event planned for June:

While we always root for the success of any industry gathering that promotes great games, we have never officially attended E3 and do not plan to do so this year unfortunately. We will also confirm we will not be hosting satellite events this year in Los Angeles, but look forward to returning to our beloved parking lot to do so if the opportunity arises for a future LACC-based event. We are happy to report that we are well underway in the production of our annual Devolver Direct scheduled for June which we will share news about soon.

Despite a change of hands this year and expectations of success due to the four-year break since the last physical event, the future of E3 now appears to be in active jeopardy. Will ReedPop be able to save E3 2023 even without the presence of the industry’s biggest names? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

The Last of Us PC Remake Shader Issues Leave Players Waiting for Hours

The Last of Us Remake PC port just released today, and while the title received a lot of praise for its PS5 release, it seems the PC port isn’t quite up to par, as users have reported a number of bugs and crashes, though its The Last of Us PC shader issues that might push some people to consider before buying.

If you’re one of the many PC players who bought The Last of Us remake on PC, then chances are, you’re probably stuck on the main screen awaiting for the shaders to finish building. While it’s common nowadays for PC titles to perform this task at the initial boot, what isn’t common is the length of time needed to do so, as for most games, it’s only a few minutes.

However, looking at the games subreddit, and even our own experience, the The Last of Us remake PC port seems to be experiencing widespread shader issues, with some users reporting on the subreddit of it taking them well over an hour, and more to finish building.

We clocked in at roughly an hour for our slightly above recommended specs build, while our high-end build came in just a little under 45 minutes.

While the time for the shaders to build is rather excessive, it’s the fact that the game also seems to be pushing users builds to a full 100 percent CPU usage, limiting them in their activity, as well as not to mention forcing their CPU to run hot for a long extended time.

This has resulted in players crashing during the process, as well as encountering other bugs, and some poor performance. The performance issue is something we noticed, as both our 3080 and 4090 seem to struggle to hold a steady 60 frames-per-second.

Looking at the review response from the game’s Steam community, the title currently has a mostly negative reception, with some users reporting the shaders taking well over two hours to finish, only to encounter bugs after booting in.

Image

For those on Steam, there is a refund policy that the platform offers, however that’s only if you’ve played less than two hours of the title. The issue is, even though players aren’t actually playing while they wait for the shaders, Steam still takes that time into account as the timer begins while the game is launched.

Whether Valve will make the exception to those wanting a refund will remain to be seen, but hopefully PlayStation is able to work out these issues ASAP. We’ll continue to monitor, and hopefully a patch drops soon. Important to note that the PC version of The Last of Us Part I wasn’t ported by Naughty Dog (the studio behind the original version), but Iron Galaxy (Rumbleverse).

Report: Modern Warfare 2 Upcoming Weapons From Season 3 to Season 5 Leaked via Datamine

A new datamine has found a list of the Modern Warfare 2 upcoming weapons in the game’s code, releasing gradually from Season 3 through Season 5. The weapons include both traditional firearms and melee weapons, and even Kali sticks.

Through the next three seasons of the game, Infinity Ward will be introducing a great deal of new content for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 before the games are eventually sunsetted in favor of the next Call of Duty installments. Before that, 13 new weapons will apparently be added to Modern Warfare 2 over the course of Season 3 through Season 5 as per a data string in the new datamine:

iw9_me_sword02 – another kind of sword

iw9_br_ngsierra – MCX Spear(from the NGSW acronym)

iw9_sn_india – M200 Intervention!!!!!!!!

iw9_pi_tango9 – Tec-9

iw9_ar_helima – Springfield Hellion

iw9_sm_acharlie45 – APC 45

iw9_sh_tsierra – Tavor TS12

iw9_sn_walpha – WA 2000!!!!!!!!!

iw9_pi_mike2011 – Staccato 2011(double stack 1911 modern pistol)

iw9_ar_malima – Malyuk

iw9_sm_acharlie9 – APC 9

iw9_me_kamas – Kamas(Japanese sickles)

iw9_me_kalisticks- Kali Sticks

While the list will remain tentative at best until Infinity Ward confirms each weapon release, Modern Warfare 2 players will be pleased to know that Infinity Ward still has much in store for the game. For now, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded is well underway, and the details of its new map, TMNT collab content, and more can be found here.

Note that same with any datamined info, none of this has been confirmed by Activision, so take it with a grain of salt. It could be leftover code or something else, but don’t be surprised if the list turns out to be legit.

Steam to Cease Windows 7 and Win8 Support Starting 2024

Gamers who are currently playing their Steam PC games on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 may want to update by the end of 2023. A support article on the Steam Website has revealed that the game service will no longer support Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 versions beginning January 1 next year. The client will no longer function on said versions despite having it installed.

Here’s the full statement from the Steam support article:

As of January 1 2024, Steam will officially stop supporting the Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. After that date, the Steam Client will no longer run on those versions of Windows. In order to continue running Steam and any games or other products purchased through Steam, users will need to update to a more recent version of Windows.

The newest features in Steam rely on an embedded version of Google Chrome, which no longer functions on older versions of Windows. In addition, future versions of Steam will require Windows feature and security updates only present in Windows 10 and above.

The article mentions that the reason for the discontinued support is due to the platform’s reliance on Google Chrome, which itself does not support older Windows versions. Interestingly, this may be related to a recent discovery that Steam will be adding a couple of new features to the client in the future.

iOS 16.4 Update Includes DualSense Edge Support for Apple Devices

A recent iOS 16.4 update for Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads has finally provided official support for the DualSense Edge, Sony’s latest PlayStation controller that offers a customizable and configurable set of buttons and sticks.

The update was spotted by MacRumors, with the original report mentioning that owners of the DualSense Edge complained about a lack of support for the device. The DualSense Edge came out on January 26, which meant that iOS devices didn’t officially support the controller for a couple of months.

If you’re interested in connecting your DualSense Edge to your Apple Devices, Apple has a support article for doing so, which also confirms support for the DualSense Edge as of the iOS 16.4 update.

Supported PlayStation controllers

– PlayStation DualShock 4 Wireless Controller
– PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller
– PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge Wireless Controller

Pair and connect the controller

1. Make sure that your controller is turned off.

2. Press and hold the PS button and the Create (or Share) button at the same time until the light bar begins to flash. The controller is now in pairing mode, which makes it discoverable by your Apple device.

3. Open Bluetooth settings on your Apple device, then select the controller from the list of nearby devices.
– iPhone, iPad: Connect Bluetooth devices
– Apple TV: Connect Bluetooth devices
– Mac: Connect Bluetooth devices

4. If the controller pairs but doesn’t connect, press the PS button on the controller.

With Apple finally supporting the DualSense Edge, users should have a more comfortable experience with games that support controllers, such as Call of Duty Mobile or Minecraft.

Halo Infinite Update for March 28 Patch Notes List Various Fixes

343 Industries has released the Halo Infinite update for March 28, and it’s out on all platforms! This includes a long list off fixes touching on UI, gameplay tweaks and more! Read on for the complete Halo Infinite new update patch notes for today.

Halo Infinite Update for March 28 Patch Notes:

File Sizes:

  • Xbox consoles: approximately 2.9GB or less,
  • Microsoft Store app or Xbox app on PC: approximately 2.9GB or less
  • Steam: approximately 1.6 GB or less.

Resolved Issues

The following changes were made in the March 28, 2023, patch.

Menus

  • Improved stability when navigating Customization menus on PC.
  • “Underperforming” will no longer appear under some match statistics on the Post-Game Carnage Report (PGCR) menu.
  • When purchasing the Premium Battle Pass Bundle, the “Confirm Purchase” prompt now correctly reflects that players will receive 100 XP Grants.

Multiplayer

  • Players are now less likely to experience “rubber banding” or “jittering” when interacting with various environmental objects on multiplayer maps.
  • Improved stability while respawning in multiplayer matches on Xbox Series X|S consoles.
  • Players on all platforms are now less likely to experience crashes while loading between the main menu and gameplay.
  • On PC, Halo Infinite is now less likely to crash on launch when using non-English keyboard settings.
  • Online matches are now less likely to disconnect all players while playing Escalation Slayer and Covert One Flag.
  • Players are now less likely to experience crashes while playing on Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X consoles.
  • Resolved a crash that occurred when too many navigation and objective indicators were on-screen at once.

Forge

Today’s update resolves a high-impact issue that incorrectly limited the number of Script Brains that can be placed on a map. Read the Developer Notes below for additional information on this issue and the fix:

  • What happened: Season 3 added a budget check whenever a player added nodegraph content in order to reduce the incidence of “Dedicated Server Failed to Load” errors.
    • If your map has too many “nodegraph entities” (nodes + connections + properties), this check will prevent you from adding nodes, duplicating nodes, or adding more connections.
    • Based on our own investigation and support tickets, this resulted in a functional global budget of about 200-250 nodes per map after the Season 3 update, which is a pretty low ceiling.
  • What’s changing: This hotfix raises the Nodegraph Entity limit from 800 to 2048
    • Most players should now be able to add nodes and connections to any map that was functioning during the Winter Update.
    • Maps should be able to comfortably hold scripts with up to 512 nodes before running into the duplication limit or the “Dedicated Server Failed to Load” bug.
  • Please be aware:
    • This budget check was a stopgap for Season 3 until we could add additional Node Graph budgeting elements in a future update.  With this hotfix, we’re choosing to let advanced scripters push the tool, even if it means they’ll hit that frustrating Winter Update bug more frequently.
    • Because we have relaxed the budget checks, maps with many scripts + art content can still experience “Dedicated Server Failed to Load” errors that were present during the Winter Update.
    • In the future, you’ll see this entity limit replaced with actual budget checks against the limits that causes the failure to load bug.

Other resolved issues in this patch include:

  • Players can now consistently load older versions of their Forge maps.
  • When editing a Node Graph in Forge that has multiple scripts starting with event nodes, players can now connect a single node to multiple execution nodes which are connected to different scripts.
  • Primitive sphere objects in Forge that were moved because of the Season 3 update have been restored to their original location.
    • As mentioned in a @HaloSupport tweet, Forge creators who attempted to restore the original position of affected primitive spheres prior to this patch may need to re-adjust the spheres after installing the update.
  • When selecting a map for Forge on PC, selecting a file in the My Bookmarks menu no longer reverts to the previously selected map.
  • When rotating an object in Forge with the Rotation Snap option set to 15 degrees or higher, players can now quickly tap the corresponding directional input rather than holding the directional input.

Thank you to all players who submitted a ticket on these or other in-game issues. Stay tuned to @HaloSupport on Twitter for the latest news on upcoming releases.

COD Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Update for March 28 Released for Operator Issues and More

Infinity Ward has released a new COD Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 update for March 28, though don’t expect anything major from it it outside of bug fixes. Check out what’s new for this server-side update in the patch notes below.

COD Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 Update for March 28:

Here’s the announcement from Infinity Ward:

We’ve just released a small update:
• Fixed an issue preventing some Operators from being selectable in Battle Royale and DMZ
• Fixed an issue causing a “Quit to Desktop” popup to appear when pressing escape to go back to COD HQ on PC

Here some of the known issues (via the official Warzone Trello board):

Global Known Issues:

Investigating:

  • We’re aware of an issue affecting Double Kill Challenge tracking for some Players.
  • We’re investigating an issue following the latest update to Polyatomic camos where some surfaces do not display as intended.
  • We’re aware of an issue where changing the fire mode on the M16 is not reflected on the UI indicator.
  • [Gunsmith] We are investigating an issue where some players cannot acquire additional camos in Gold, Platinum and Polyatomic tiers if they have already acquired enough camos to unlock the next tier. For example, if you have 51 Platinum camos, you are unable to earn additional Platinum camos because 51 is the number you need to unlock Polyatomic.

Battle Royale Known Issues:

Investigating:

  • Private Matches: We’re investigating an issue that is preventing Private Match lobbies from populating correctly.
  • [All Platforms] The Heavy Chopper has been disabled in Battle Royale while we investigate options to balance this vehicle for late game.
  • [All Platforms] Inconsistent AAR: We’re investigating an issue that is preventing the After Action Report from consistently appearing for Players. This does not impact XP gains.

Fix Incoming:

  • We’re aware of an issue that prevents Players from selecting a small group of Operators in Battle Royale and DMZ (This includes Shredder, Klaus, Neymar, Pogba, and Messi)
  • [All Platforms] Battle Rage & Dead Silence: Battle Rage and Dead Silence have been removed while we investigate an issue.
  • [All Platforms] Disabled Equipment XP: We’ve disabled XP earned for using the following items in Battle Royale – Flash Grenade, Stun Grenade, Stim, Shock Stick, Smoke Grenade, Suppression Mine

Multiplayer Known Issues:

Investigating:

  • We’re aware of irregular animation and behavior of Tactical Sprint in Private Matches.

Once a new patch is released, we’ll let our readers know.

Companion Updates

We’ve taken a more comprehensive approach to address underperforming and overperforming companions. The overall goal was to bring the top tier performers more in line with one another and increase the effectiveness of underperformers and niche role companions. By standardizing the combat formulas used, we can ensure future companions and current companions both remain desirable and effective.

    • Many companions with self-targeted heal powers now stand closer to their summoner, to increase the odds they will hit them with their heals.

The Defense, Awareness, and Deflect per stack has been increased to 3%, and they now no longer expire when the character reaches 5 stacks. The HP recovery portion of the Enchantment has been decreased to 5%, and can occur once every 30 seconds, when the character maintains 5 stacks.

Visual Concepts has rolled out WWE 2K23 update 1.06 (PS5 version 1.006), and this an unannounced patch and is out on all platforms. Check out what’s new in the WWE 2K23 March 28 patch notes.

WWE 2K23 Update 1.06 Patch Notes | WWE 2K23 Update 1.006 Patch Notes | WWE 2K23 March 28 Patch Notes:

Update: Visual Concepts has STILL not shared any official patch notes, but we’ve added more confirmed fixes (and what didn’t get fixed) straight from the game’s community.

  • Added some placeholder models for Balor and Priest to MyFaction (via _Kamigoye_)
  • Patch still didn’t fix the move set glitch in universe for rivalries when playing in superstar mode.
  • Manager glitch for Rivalries still broken (Just got Omos and a manager for a Brock Lesnar match, when Brock has Vince as his manager) – (via HomicidalRex)

Some of the confirmed issues still not fixed (via the community):

  • CCA turnbuckle logo issue not fixed (via roidymagoo2)
  • Hidden arenas glitch still works
  • Non-WarGames matches still work in the 2 ring WarGames arenas
  • Camera glitches still happen the same WarGames arenas
  • Sami Zayn’s theme is still the same.
  • Hollywood Hogan is still missing the hair model and facial hair model.
  • The special guest referee arenas don’t load in referees anymore (JayTheBrainMan)
  • All the modded stuff is still downloadable. (via BirdiMania)
  • Trophies issue still not fixed (via CriticalSwitch)

So far, Visual Concepts has not released the patch notes just yet, though we’re expecting that to change (at least hoping to). In the meantime, we’ve listed the confirmed known issues acknowledged by Visual Concepts:

MyFACTION

When the tutorial describes MyFACTION Points, VC balance is highlighted mistakenly.

Create

Some elements of Damage CTRL 3-person entrance may be incorrect.

MyGM

Players with language set to French may experience crashes after matches.

General

“Here Comes the BOOM! – Create a custom entrance with custom Pyro.” trophy/achievement may not unlock for some players.

That’s about it. Once the official patch notes are out, we’ll update the article ASAP.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Has Gone Gold Ahead of May Release

Hylians, rejoice! Nintendo has revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has gone gold (meaning development is complete and the game is ready for publishing) ahead of its release on May 12.

Six years into the release of Breath of the Wild, Zelda fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of its sequel. It appears that the May 12 release date announced at the September Nintendo Direct will be pushed no further, according to series producer Eiji Aonuma:

Development on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now complete. Thank you very much for waiting.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom carries over and expands the Hyrule setting of Breath of the Wild, and follows Link and the titular Zelda as they take on a malevolent force that seeks the destruction of Hyrule. Aonuma also played through over 10 minutes of the game today to showcase Link’s powerful new Recall, Fuse, Ascend, and Ultrahand abilities, with Nintendo revealing a special Tears of the Kingdom-themed Switch OLED as well as a Pro Controller and Carrying Case afterwards.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released this May 12 on the Nintendo Switch.

Apex Legends Update 2.20 Released for Sun Squad Collection Event This March 28

Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends update 2.20, which is for the Sun Squad Collection event! Players can expect gameplay adjustments, new cosmetic items, new store items and more. Read on to find out everything new in the Apex Legends March 28 patch notes and overview of new content.

Apex Legends Update 2.20 Patch Notes | Apex Legends March 28 Patch Notes:

Time to catch and fire some rays in the Sun Squad Collection Event

See if you handle the heat in a new limited-time mode Heatwave and check out Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom

Sun’s out? Guns out in the Sun Squad Collection event featuring a brand new limited-time mode that turns up the heat on Battle Royale, 24 limited-time cosmetics including Legendary skins for Fuse, Mirage, and more, and the debut of Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom.

NEW LIMITED-TIME MODE: HEATWAVE

HEATWAVE is a new limited-time mode that turns up the heat on the Apex Games. All the usual rules of Trio’s apply, but you’ll want to look out for Heatwaves that periodically happen throughout the match. When the heats on, you’ll need to avoid taking damage from the sun by taking cover indoors or under objects. If you’re caught out in the open, only sliding cools you down if you want to avoid Heatwave damage on the move. Lastly, Heatshields have increased in size and protect you in a large area from the sun for those moments when you’re caught outdoors and need to beat the heat quickly. Take care when using Heatshields though, they will be destroyed quickly when deployed outside the Ring.

Keep an eye out for Care Packages. Perhaps there lies another way to mitigate the effects of the sun and look cool while doing it. But you’ll need to jump into the mode on March 28th to find out more.

SUN SQUAD COLLECTION EVENT ITEMS

Unlock 24 explosive limited-time cosmetics, with Legendary skins for Ash, Mirage, Fuse, and more!

All 24 items will be available in exchange for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals and in Sun Squad Collection Event Apex Packs for the entire duration of the event.

If you unlock them all before the event ends, you’ll automatically receive Ash’s “Strongest Link” Heirloom!

REWARD TRACKER

You can earn up to 1,600 points per day and challenges refresh daily. All these challenges also stack with your Battle Pass so you can complete multiple challenges at once.

STORE TAB

Explore limited-time offers in the Store tab including the Sub-Mirage or the Shoreline Savior Bundles available March 28th to April 11th and check out the weekly offers like Bangalore’s Bring The Pain Bundle available March 31st to April 4th only or Lifeline’s Breach and Clear Bundle only available April 4th to April 11th. You can view all the bundles and sales for the two weeks of the event below.

  • [DX12] Game no longer letterboxes when the aspect ratio is greater than 16:0 (in DX12, windowed)
