Just yesterday, Striking Distance Studios has finally unveiled our first gameplay look at The Callisto Protocol. Today, there’s more news to share, as The Callisto Protocol different editions have surfaced, as well as the confirmation that the game will feature a Season Pass!

Over on the PlayStation Network, here is what players can choose from if they plan to purchase or pre-order the game:

  • PS4 Standard : $59.99
  • PS4 Digital Deluxe Edition : $79.99
  • PS5 Standard : $69.99
  • PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition : $89.99

Everyone who pre-orders will get the following digital bonus items:

Pre-order now to get the following digital content:
– Retro Prisoner Character & Weapons Skin
– Contraband Pack (PlayStation Exclusive)

So why is the Deluxe Edition $20 more expensive? It’s for the Season Pass! For some odd reason, the PSN page of The Callisto Protocol doesn’t show it, but on mobile, you are able to see the confirmaton of the Season Pass:

Image

What’s even more interesting is, there is no mention of a free upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5, which means that it’s not an option at all, or this is something Krafton will enable at a later date (we’re hoping this is the case).

Also listed in The Callisto Protocol’s game product page are some of the features and story elements:

In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat, Jacob will need to adapt his tactics to combat the rapidly evolving creatures while scavenging to unlock new weapons, gear, and abilities to outrun the growing threat and escape the horrors of Jupiter’s Dead Moon.

HORROR ENGINEERING
The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror from the mind of Glen Schofield. Blending atmosphere, tension, and brutality with terrifying moments of helplessness and humanity, The Callisto Protocol immerses players in a pulse-pounding story where unspeakable horrors lurk around every corner.

UNCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNITED JUPITER COMPANY
Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol casts players as Jacob Lee, an inmate in Black Iron Prison. When a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos, Jacob must face his darkest fears to defeat the bloodthirsty creatures that stalk him as he unravels the dark mysteries at the heart of the powerful United Jupiter Company.

MASTER BRUTAL, STRATEGIC COMBAT
The Callisto Protocol challenges players to master a thrilling blend of hand-to-hand and ranged combat, including a unique gravity weapon once used by Black Iron guards to control the prison population. Players will be forced to get up close and personal with their grotesque opponents, hacking off limbs, blasting off legs, and getting creative with whatever is at their disposal to survive each life-or-death encounter.

EXPERIENCE THE ISOLATION OF JUPITERS’ DEAD MOON
One of the most hostile, isolated environments in the universe, Callisto looms large over Jacob’s desperate struggle to survive. Players must not only contend with the horrors of Black Iron Prison, but also the centuries-old secrets that plague Jupiter’s long-dead moon, both above and below the surface.

The Callisto Protocol will bite its way out this December 2 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

How to Start New Game Plus in Horizon Forbidden West

Unlike many other games that feature this mode, New Game+ isn’t located in the main startup menu. No instead, you’ll need to load whatever save you want to start a new game plus journey from and travel to the base. If you forgot where the base was, we have marked it in the map down below.

How to Start New Game plus in Horizon Forbidden West Guide 1

Once you arrive at the base, you’ll want to enter it and begin making your way to the main room. You should see Beta in this room, and right across from her is some sort of metal beacon (flower?) where you can activate your new game play run.

What Carries Over Into New Game Plus for Horizon Forbidden West?

All of your weapons, armor, resources, skills points, and even current level get carried over for New Game+ in Horizon Forbidden West. Granblue Fantasy Versus Update 2.80 Brawls Out for June 2

Arc System Works has released Granblue Fantasy Versus update 2.80 for today, June 2. This update is now available on both the PS4, and PC and brings a number of fighter adjustments as well as new battle mechanics. Read on for the full patch notes!

Granblue Fantasy Versus Update 2.80 Patch Notes | Granblue Fantasy Versus June 2 Patch Notes:

General

New battle mechanics Tactical Move – Rush, Tactical Move – Backshift, and Overdrive have been implemented.

Tactical Move – Rush

A new mechanic where you close the distance on foes with an attack.

The command is → + M + H (Costs 50% of the SBA Gauge). While moving, the player is invulnerable to strike attacks, so this can be used as a punish by avoiding foes’ normal attacks. However, it is not invulnerable to projectiles and throws, so it must be used with caution in certain situations. But even if the attack is blocked, the player is at an advantage, and it can be used as a tool to get a read on your foes.

Rush can also be used to cancel normal attacks, with the exception of crouching U. Additionally it can be further chained into other skills to extend combos upon a successful hit. So players can try to go for combos such as normal attack > Rush > skill.

Tactical Move – Backshift

A backstep that is fully invincible from start-up.

The command is ← + M + H (Costs 50% of the SBA Gauge). The buttons can be held down to activate it at the earliest moment, so it can be easily used after a block or on wake-up.

The main purpose is to avoid foes’ attacks. It is especially useful at midscreen, where foes’ attacks can be avoided to safely create distance.

Furthermore, in order to balance with characters with invincible skills and (+) skills, their recovery on Backshift is slightly longer (the invincibility duration is the same for all characters).

Overdrive

A new power-enhancing system called Overdrive will activate after a hit box surrounding the player is generated. The input is G + M + H (Costs 100% of the SBA Gauge and can only be used once per round). The activation is invincible and will create a hit box surrounding the character. The hit box will push foes back significantly, regardless of if the Overdrive registers a hit or block. So this can be used effectively even when the foe is blocking.

When activated, the SBA Gauge will transform into the Overdrive Gauge. Since the SBA Gauge is no longer available, Rush and Backshift cannot be used. But the Skybound Art (Super Skybound Art) is still accessible (Overdrive will end immediately if a Skybound Art is used.).

After activation, attack strength (with certain exceptions) will increase, normal attacks now deal chip damage, and overhead attacks will have faster start-up. On top of that, other enhancements include negating chip damage and skills from simple commands will have the same properties as technical commands.

Mission Training

New battle mechanic missions have been added in Basic Mission.

New battle mechanic explanations have been added in Glossary.

Horizon Forbidden West Save Crashing Issue Surfaces After 1.15 Patch

You may want to hold off on updating to the latest version of Horizon Forbidden West, as users are reporting crashing and save issues after the patch released today (version 1.15).

With the New Game+ mode now finally available for Horizon Forbidden West , many players are returning to once again face the new challenges offered from this mode. As well as that may be, it seems that a large number of players are reporting crashes with their game saves with the recent update applied.

Horizon Forbidden West Save Crashing Issue Reports From Players After Patch 1.15:

Horizon won’t load any of my saved games since patch?
byu/Lethyk inhorizon

Even in the main update thread there are users who are reporting issues with their old game saves, unable to load them, and either resorting to starting fresh, or using old saves that are very early in the game. This seems to be affecting all types of saves, those being auto save, manual, and quick save, and as of right now, there doesn’t seem to be any sort of fix. Rebooting, downloading the game again, and even rebuilding the console’s database (issue is on both PS4 and PS5) have no resolution to the issue.

Guerrilla Games has yet to acknowledge the issue, though seeing that it seems that many are experiencing it, it’s likely we will be getting a new patch to address the Horizon Forbidden West save crashing issues. Hopefully soon, as I’m sure many of you are eager to venture back in the world of Horizon Forbidden West. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this issue, and should any workaround, or update from the developers arise, we will be sure to update this post.

Street Fighter 6 Gameplay Unleashed, First Details Revealed and Out in 2023

Capcom brought the heavy artillery at Sony’s State of Play, as not only did we get a Resident Evil 4 Remake announcement, but we even got our first Street Fighter 6 gameplay look! In addition to that, we now know that the game is out in 2023 for both PS4 and PS5!

Check out the gameplay footage (it’s not a lot, but still!), alongside the announcement of “World Tour” mode which is a single-player story experience, and the Battle Hub, which Capcom says “will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement.”

Street Fighter 6, the next game in the iconic series, will release in 2023! Take part in the Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series. Two new modes will be available alongside: World Tour, an immersive single-player story experience, and Battle Hub, which will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement. Your Moment. Your Fight. Stay tuned for more information!

Another new thing incoming in Street Fighter 6 that was revealed today is the “Real Time Commentary” feature! This will let FGC commentators and the like to incorporate their voices commentate on your matches!

Want more detals? Capcom has also shared info on the gameplay engine, and a ton more!

Classic Street Fighter Built for a Modern Era

After our Teaser Trailer back in February, we hinted at a more hyper-realistic look for Street Fighter 6. We’re proud to announce that this new entry in the series is being developed on Capcom’s own RE Engine – previously used to create Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village, and Devil May Cry 5. With the RE Engine, you’ll notice enhanced visuals in every aspect of the game. Beads of sweat will roll down across skin, muscles will tense up when used, and cherry blossom petals will flitter and twirl in line with a character’s movement. Pair this graphics upgrade with the explosive splashes of paint and the striking graffiti treatment, and you’ll end up with an art style distinct to Street Fighter 6.

Meet the First Characters

And what is Street Fighter without its iconic roster of characters? Returning in Street Fighter 6 are Ryu, Chun-Li, and Luke, all of whom have undergone redesigns for this new era. Joining them is a brand-new face, Jamie who will add his own flair to the game with his unpredictable move set – based on drunken boxing – that incorporates breakdancing and chugging a ki-unleashing drink.

Luke uses his background as a contractor for a private military company to teach mixed martial arts. He spends his days off eating junk food, playing video games, and challenging opponents to a good old fight. Nevertheless, he always has victory in his sights.

Select Moves:

  • DDT – A powerful throw activated after the first hit of an Overdrive (OD) Flash Knuckle. Useful for when you want guaranteed extra damage.
  • Fatal Shot – Fire an additional shockwave after an OD Sand Blast to secure more damage after trading projectiles.

Jamie is a peacekeeper from Chinatown who aspires to walk in the footsteps of Yun and Yang, the Twin Dragons. An expert dancer, Jamie places justice and friendship above all else, defending his town with martial arts.

Select Moves:

  • The Devil Inside – Jamie takes a swig out of his ki-unleashing drink to raise his Drink Level. Higher levels unlock access to additional moves.
  • Luminous Dive Kick (Drink Level 1+) – While forward jumping, Jamie extends his leg and quickly drops to the ground. Useful as a surprise attack or a way to close the distance.

Ryu continues training on his endless quest to find true strength. Well-mannered and sincere, he travels the globe in search of worthy opponents. Having overcome the Satsui no Hado, he now yearns for something greater.

Select Moves:

  • Hashogeki – Ryu concentrates ki in his palms and unleashes it a short distance forward. Useful as a follow-up after block strings and combos.
  • Denjin Charge – Ryu envelops his fists with the Power of Nothingness, enhancing special moves such as Hadoken and Hashogeki. Ryu is vulnerable while performing this move, so careful timing is critical.

Chun-Li is a former agent from the ICPO (International Criminal Police Investigation). She now looks after Li Fen, a victim of the Black Moon Incident from Street Fighter V.  With Shadaloo now fallen, Chun-Li teaches kung fu classes and has become a beloved member of the local community.

Select Moves:

  • Tensho Kicks – Chun-Li rises into the air with a flurry of kicks. Useful for countering an opponent’s jump attack or to close out combos.
  • Serenity Stream – Chun-Li switches to a low, stationary fighting stance. While in this stance, Chun-Li’s normal attack buttons change.

A Battle System Built for Creativity

With every new Street Fighter comes mechanics you can master to rise to the top. Introducing, the Drive System, a gauge you’ll need to manage wisely and one that is ripe with creativity. You can utilize the Drive Gauge to perform five different techniques that can easily enhance your offense or defense.

A Drive Impact is a powerful strike that can absorb an opponent’s incoming attack and can lead to a wall splat. Use Drive Parry to repel your opponent’s attack and refill your Drive Gauge. Cancel out of a Drive Parry or normal attack into a Drive Rush to quickly close in on your opponent. Overdrive Arts are similar to EX Moves from past games that power up your Special Moves. Use Drive Reversal to perform a counterattack to get you out of tight situations. One gauge, five techniques, unlimited possibilities. Use your creativity to choose which technique to utilize and when. It’s all in your hands!

Drive System Overview

A Modern Control Type for Everyone

For those who are worried that fighting game inputs are too complicated and just want to unleash your inner fighter, we have a solution in the form of a new control type option. First off, Classic Control Type is what veterans can expect to use for inputs with its six-button layout. New to Street Fighter 6 is the Modern Control Type, which allows for easier inputs where a special move can be performed by combining the “Special Move” button with one directional input. This is perfect for newer players or those who may have found classic command inputs a bit too difficult in the past. With the Modern Control Type, your character will perform some of their flashiest (and best) attacks with just a few button presses. Modern Control Type is optional, but we highly recommend new players give it a try!

Final Fantasy XVI Gameplay Showcases Summons, Out “Summer 2023”

Square Enix brought out the big guns to end Sony’s State of Play event, as it showed off our first Final Fantasy XVI gameplay footage, and this one doesn’t hold back, as we even get to see some of the summons in action!

In addition to the gameplay footage, Square Enix has also revealed that the RPG is due for release in “summer 2023!” It seems the wait isn’t that long now for the next major entry in Square Enix’s hit RPG franchise.

Here are more details for the RPG straight from FFXVI Producer Yoshida Naoki:

In our latest trailer, we’ve introduced several new Eikons, as well as provided a more detailed peek at our action-packed battle system and the freedom it gives players. As for development progress, I’m happy to announce that the game is fully playable from start to finish; though, from optimization to brush-up, there is still a mountain of challenges to tackle as we head into our final push.

Introduction of the Dominants of Titan and Garuda

We here on the Final Fantasy XVI team hope you enjoyed the trailer and we wanted to give our fans a little bit more information about the Dominants of Titan and Garuda that you just saw.

Permanent Economic Adviser Hugo Kupka’s meteoric rise to prominence was sudden, if not unexpected. Once a nameless foot soldier in the Republican Army, his awakening as Dominant of the Eikon Titan thrust him to the forefront of Dhalmekian politics. It was here he used his newfound position as the most powerful man in the republic to exert influence over both the nation’s armies and its policy making—amassing a personal fortune in the process. Yet while it is said that a man who has everything wants for nothing, Benedikta Harman will teach him money and power are far from all the world has to offer.

Having emerged from the storm of youth coldhearted and ruthless, Benedikta Harman—Dominant of the Eikon Garuda, Warden of the Wind—turned her talent for swordplay and subterfuge into a command of Waloed’s elite intelligencers. It is on a mission to find the elusive second Eikon of Fire that she crosses paths with a like-minded Clive and is forced to face her past.

Final Fantasy XVI is set for release on the PS5 next year.

The Callisto Protocol Gameplay Reveal Looks Freaky, Out on December 2, 2022

If you wanted to see The Callisto Protocol in action, well, you just got your wish! During Sony’s State of Play event, Striking Distance has revealed our first look at The Callisto Protocol gameplay footage and it looks fantastic!

If you think it bears a strong resemblance to Dead Space, you’re not wrong, as Striking Distance’s boss Glen Schofield is the co-creator of the franchise. Alongside the gameplay reveal, the studio also announced that The Callisto Protocol is out this December 2, 2022!

Here are more details on the game straight from the studio:

Set on Jupiter’s “dead moon” Callisto in 2320, The Callisto Protocol is the story of Jacob Lee, an inmate at Black Iron Prison who must fight for his life when a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos. Prison guards and inmates are mutating into monstrous creatures called Biophage, and Jacob must battle to survive the horrors of Black Iron and uncover the dark secrets of the United Jupiter Company.

Creating terrifying moments in games is hard. To bring the world of The Callisto Protocol to life, the team uses a process we call Horror Engineering to hand craft unforgettable scares.  It’s about blending atmosphere, tension, brutality, helplessness, and humanity to thrill players … and hopefully scare the crap out of them.

What would a horror game be without brutality?  Striking Distance Studios has designed a strategic combat system that forces players to get up close and personal with our horrifying creatures.  We seamlessly blend melee combat and gunplay with a unique gravity weapon called the GRP.

Black Iron guards use the GRP to control the prison population, but it also allows Jacob to get creative in how he battles the Biophage.  Players can freeze a rushing enemy in their tracks, or even throw Biophage into a nearby turbine fan or environmental hazard to escape a seemingly dire situation.

The Callisto Protocol will slice its way out on December 2, 2022 on both last-gen and next-gen platforms.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Announced and Out on March 24, 2023, Watch the First Gameplay (Update)

During Sony’s State of Play stream, Capcom unveiled Resident Evil 4 Remake — a game we’ve been expecting to surface ever since we got remakes for the first three original Resident Evil games.

Alongside the reveal, Capcom announced the Resident Evil 4 Remake is set for March 24, 2023! No word yet on if this is a timed console exclusive (chances are it’s not). Check out the the first gameplay look below.

At the end, Capcom also confirmed that PlayStation VR2 content is also being made for RE4 Remake, which will be part of the base game.

Update: Capcom has released the first story details, and has confirmed that they are updating the controls, and more (via the PlayStation Blog)!

This time, the game is being developed to achieve state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to a modern standard.

The story thus far

Six years have passed since the biological disaster in Racoon City.

Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president.

With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is sent to rescue the kidnapped daughter of the president of the United States.

He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers.

And the curtain rises on this story of grueling survival horror and rescue.

It seems Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to shoot out just for next-gen platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC) if the logo below is anything to go by:

Once we know more, we’ll let our readers know.

No official announcement has been made by Guerrilla Games just yet, but PlayStation Network data scraper PlayStation Game Sizes, along with members of the community that New Game+ is indeed part of the title update. Note that the mode isn’t playable just yet, though we’re expecting that to change once the State of Play event is over.

Did the game just get a silent New Game+ update?
byu/B0SS_Zombie inhorizon

As one can plainly see, Guerrilla Games has yet to release the official patch notes just yet, though that should change very, very soon! In the meantime, go check out the confirmed list of known issues that were part of patch 1.13 (which was the last one released before today’s update).

KNOWN ISSUES

We are currently looking into several issues reported by the community. Please note that these issues are not yet fixed in this patch, but our teams are aware of them and they’re being investigated.

  • The team continues to make tweaks to the game’s content with the goal to reduce visual shimmering.

  • Players have reported an issue in Handa’s Contract “Ancient Relics”, where the mission progression will be stuck on “2/3 Gather Ancient Relics”, or “Go to the Northern Ancient Machine Site” if the player leaves the area.

  • Outfits may appear to be covered by dark shadows in inventory.

Once the full patch notes are released, we’ll update the post.

Update: Guerrilla has released the official patch notes!

Battlefield 2042 New Specialist Ewelina Lis Details & More Datamined; Specialists Style & Tone Changes Sneak Peek

Just last month, a Battlefield 2042 new Specialist named “Lis” was datamined. While there’s still no confirmation from DICE whether Lis is the upcoming Specialist set to be deployed when Season 1 launches this month, that seems to be the case, as more details regarding the character has been datamined along with other stuff.

Spotted by reliable Battlefield dataminer temporyal, we now know that Lis’ full name is Ewelina Lis (from Poland), and she has a rocket launcher as a gadget! Aside from that, there are two unreleased stealth choppers spotted as well, which are the RAH-68 Shoshone, and the KA-99 Hannibal!

Continuing with the Specialist focus, DICE has given players a preview of the style and tone changes coming to the characters, and we get our first look at this with Mackay! You’ll see a more rugged and realistic look to the character, and even the voiceline!

Same as with any datamined info, there is no guarantee that these will make it into the game, as these could be scrapped content, stuff planned for later seasons and so on. But chances are, given these are still in the game files, Season 1 will indeed be called “Zero Hour,” and the new Specialist will be Ewelina Lis!

The wait for Season 1 won’t be long now, as it’s promised to launch in “early June.” We’re hoping that more info regarding it will be released this coming week.

New Dragon Age Game Officially Titled “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf,” More Info Coming Later This Year

While BioWare hasn’t been shy when talking about the new Dragon Age game, the studio has revealed the official title of the newest game in the series, and it’s “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.”

Over on the studio’s blog, BioWare mentioned that they hinted at the title all the way back in 2018! Also, while the game won’t be out this year, fans can expect more info to be revealed before 2022 ends.

Who is the Dread Wolf?

Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, earning him a reputation as something of a trickster deity—a player of dark and dangerous games.

Whether you’re new to Dragon Age™ stories or you’ve experienced them all, using Solas’s namesake no doubt suggests a spectrum of endless possibilities on where things may go. But at the core of this, like every past game, is you. If you’re new to Dragon Age, you have no need to worry about not having met our antagonist just yet. He’ll properly introduce himself when the time is right, but we did hint at his return when we announced #TheDreadWolfRises back in 2018.

More Dragon Age: Dreadwolf later this year

We suspect you have questions and they’ll be answered in time. While the game won’t be releasing this year, we’re growing closer to that next adventure. Rest assured, Solas is placing his pieces on the board as we speak. That’s all we have for now, but we hope knowing the official title has sparked some intrigue, as we’ll be talking more about the game later this year!

What do you think #Dreadwolf could mean?

Once we know more regarding Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, we’ll be sure to let our readers kow.

Modern Warfare 2 Live-Action Trailer Introduces the Crew, Official Reveal Set for June 8

While we still don’t have any official gameplay look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision has released a Modern Warfare 2 live-action trailer where we see Ghost and the rest of Task Force 141 on the way to battle.

In addition to the trailer, Activision has announced that the worldwide reveal is set for June 8, at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/1 a.m. HKT!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd9QeRguvDA

In addition to the trailer, Infinity Ward has also talked about bringing the franchise to a new era with Modern Warfare 2. Here’s an excerpt from it:

Between games, Infinity Ward’s global footprint has grown. They’ve been busy:

In addition to their main campus in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, the studio expanded to Mexico, continued to grow in Poland, and even started up operations in Austin, Texas, over the past three years. Teams of professionals across three continents all working together, along with partner studios, are harnessing the collective creativity that players will soon experience later this year with the release of Modern Warfare® II:

Modern Warfare II is an incredibly ambitious title in terms of what we hope to deliver our fans. The fact that we have been able to develop this game in a hybrid environment throughout the pandemic speaks to the caliber of talent we have at the studio.” – Stephanie Snowden, Director of Communications.

As per Call of Duty tradition, there was a “secret” that we had a hard time keeping: the sequel to Infinity Ward’s 2019 release known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

With this new game, the studio is ready to welcome you back into the world of Modern Warfare, where you’re part of the legendary Task Force 141. Members of the studio are ready to reveal this next era, and the excitement is growing:

For Joel Emslie, Studio Art Director, Modern Warfare II represents one of the most “ambitious, beautiful, bombastic, melt your face off game Infinity Ward has ever created.” In Joel’s opinion, the game “is this studio’s magnum opus and it’s the type of game I’ve been waiting to be a part of my entire career.”

“The team is positively thrilled to finally share what we’ve been working on here at Infinity Ward… we absolutely can’t wait for people to eventually jump in and PLAY Modern Warfare II!” – Candice Harris, Senior Producer.

Hitman 3 Year 2 June Roadmap Revealed

IO Interactive has no plans of stopping the Hitman 3 content from dropping bodies, and has today revealed the Hitman 3 Year 2 June roadmap! Players can expect a new free location, new community featured contracts and more!

Hitman 3 Year 2 June Roadmap Details:

June 2 Free Location Rotation: Marrakesh

Marrakesh is back on our free location rotation, giving all HITMAN 3 players the chance to take in everything that the Red City has to offer for a limited time. Originally released as the third episode of HITMAN 1, Marrakesh tasks you with eliminating two targets in the sweltering heat of North Africa. There are protesters surrounding the Swedish embassy, a bustling market to explore, a very persistent carpet merchant and plenty of secrets hidden in a nearby abandoned school…

Play Marrakesh for free from June 2 through June 12.

June 3 Elusive Target: The Serial Killer (Year 2 Edition)

Your target is a respectable businessman visiting the nice and calm neighborhood of Whittleton Creek, as he’s “considering” buying a house there. But unbeknownst to the residents, he is in fact a seasonal serial killer known as The Censor, who ‘grades’ his victims based on how much they struggled.

He’s now on the hunt for his next victim. Find The Censor and make sure he never grades anyone again.

The Serial Killer will arrive in HITMAN 3 on June 3 and be active for 10 days.

June 10 Elusive Target: The Gunrunner (Year 2 Edition)

The Gunrunner returns to Marrakesh on June 10. Your target is Vito Đurić. Among those in the know, Đurić is somewhat of a celebrity. He is a charismatic arms dealer and sanction buster with the reputation of being able to acquire anything for anyone. The ICA notes his involvement in almost every covert conflict of the past decade…

The Gunrunner will be active for 10 days starting June 10.

June 16: Elusive Target Arcade

On June 16, 3 new Elusive Target Arcades will arrive. And this time, there is a new hot sniper rifle in scope. Complete any of the batches, and you’ll unlock the White Ruby Rude 300 Sniper Rifle.

The Ruby Rude 300 Sniper Rifle is a “street smart”  high precision sniper rifle – decorated with a gritty, urban motif. So, take that shot to the techno thrill. Silencer and high precision Scope included.

June 23 and June 30: Community Featured Contracts!

Summer is approaching (in the northern hemisphere) and so are new hot Community Created Featured Contracts. First up on June 23 are the contracts themed “Heat Stroke” These will require some cool techniques and some hot eliminations.

Next up on June 30, are the “Hot Scope” themed contracts. In these, you’ll need to bring either your best aim or your best sniper skills. (or both).

July 1: Elusive Target: The Liability (Year 2 Edition)

Meet Terrence Chesterfield, the world’s laziest building inspector. He doesn’t care if there are cracks in the ceilings or endangerments to the building – as long as he can give you a quick firm handshake, and move on.

He’s on his way to Club Hölle in Berlin – you’ll have 10 days starting on July 1 to make sure this lazy man does his last inspection.

We’re expecting a patch to drop within the month, and once it’s live, you can bet we’ll have it on the site ASAP.
