PSN Store PlayStation Plus-Exclusive Early Access Summer Sale Now Live and Has Some Insane Deals

Sony has launched a new PlayStation Store sale this weekend, and it’s exclusive to PS Plus subscribers. Based on Sony’s wording for this sale as “early access,” this should be available for non-PlayStation Plus members soon (most likely this coming week).

While this weekend’s sale features over 200 items, it’s not lacking in quality when it comes to the titles on offer. Don’t believe me? Check out the list of games available for sale and how deeply they’re discounted.

PSN Store PlayStation Plus-Exclusive Early Access Summer Sale for the Weekend  – Ends 7/15

Note: Given the huge list, we have enabled a collapsible table for the games. To see the games in each list, click on the black arrow and/or the letters (A – E, F – J, K – O, P – T, U – Z).

Given that you have to be logged in to see the discounted prices, the ones listed below are NOT the discounted price for PS Plus members.

Notable Games Worth Checking Out

  • EA SPORTS FC™ 25 Standard Edition PS4 & PS5 (-25% $14.69) – The only soccer sim available, so it’s not like you have a choice. The next iteration should be out very soon, so might be better to wait for that one.
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows (-25%, $52.49) – Latest Assassin’s Creed game that got a lot of good scores. First time on sale on PSN.
  • Forza Horizon 5 (-25%, $44.99) – Microsoft’s former Xbox-exclusive racer that reviewed well. Getting a steady stream of support.
  • TES 4: Oblivion Remastered (-20%, $39.99) – The lowest it’s been on PSN so far, this is Bethesda’s remaster that’s more like a remake of the epic RPG. If you need a game that will take hundreds of hours of your time, this is it.
  • GTA 5 (-50%, $19.99) – This is the lowest it will ever be on PSN. It’s been on sale before, and this is the lowest it’s ever been. If you’re one of the two people that still do not own this, then this is your chance.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (-75%, $14.99) – I think this is the lowest I’ve ever seen this on PSN. Definitely pick this up. Arguably Rockstar’s best open-world game to date. Loads of Easter eggs, fantastic story, and just packed with stuff. Highly recommend this even if you don’t like westerns. This is the lowest it’ll ever get on PSN, so if you’re on the fence about that, here’s your answer.
  • Dragon Ball Sparking Zero (-30%, $48.99) – The lowest it’s been on PSN. Latest Dragon Ball fighting game, and is the most recent entry in the Budokai series. Insane amount of fighters.
  • Mortal Kombat 1 (-67%, $16.49) – Definitely the lowest I’ve ever seen on PSN. Just the base game and doesn’t include the DLCs, though that version is also discounted.
  • Elden Ring (-40%, $35.99) – FromSoftware’s most popular work, rarely goes on sale. So pick this up if you’ve been thinking about it.
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (-20%, $55.99) – MachineGames’ former Xbox exclusive. Insanely fun. Has that Indiana feel and has loads of puzzles and secrets.
  • Hogwarts Legacy (-75%, $14.99) – Lowest I have ever seen this on PSN. The PS4 version is even cheaper. This is a fun open world game based on the Harry Potter universe. I’ve said this before, but saying it again: your body count here would make Lucious Malfoy blush.
  • Silent Hil 2 (-50%, $34.99) – Lowest it’s been on PSN! It’s right up there with the Resident Evil remakes as some of the best remakes we’ve seen. Packed with new Easter eggs, new combat sections and just an amazing experience. Should have been a contender for GOTY or at least won a few awards.
  • Star Wars Outlaws (-50%, $34.99) – Ubisoft’s Star Wars open world game. That has received countless updates that should have made this way better than its state at launch. Just don’t expect epic boss fights and the like, since it’s not that type of game.
  • Sea of Thieves (-50%, $19.99) – Rare’s former Xbox exclusive. Pirate game that has a healthy player base, and gets live service support.
  • GTA The Trilogy Definitive (-60%, $23.99) –  Not sure how performance is now, but three GTA games for that price? You’ll be playing this one well into 2025.
  • Metaphor ReFantazio (-40%, $41.99) – Stellar RPG and won a ton of awards last year
  • Civilization 7 (-15%, $59.49) – First time this is on sale, if I’m not mistaken? Latest strategy game in the franchise. Getting a ton of support.
  • Tekken 8 (-50%, $29,99) – This might underwhelm fight fans compared to Tekken 7, but it’s still a solid fighter. Loads of support but characters locked behind a paywall.
  • Battlefield 2042 (-90%, $5.99) – People love to crap on BF2042, but it is in a better place now. No more seasonal content but still lots of events, patches etc. At that price and with all the updates implemented? Worth a shot for sure. Go ham on Redacted and enjoy it. This is the lowest it’s been on PSN.
  • Fallout 4 GOTY Edition (-60%, $15.99) – The last mainline Fallout game by Bethesda. Gameplay should still hold up and this offers dozens of hours of single-player RPG goodness.
  • Skyrim Anniversary + Fallout 4 GOTY Bundle (-67%, $26.39) – Skyrim + Fallout 4? Yeah, good bye life!
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake + Rebirth Twin Package (-43%, $56.99) – Insane deal if you’re looking to get into the first two remakes before the third drops, which won’t be for a long time.
  • The Witcher 3 (-80%, $7.99) – If The Witcher 4 trailer got you hyped, go jump in. Even if you’re not familiar with the first two games, it’s fine. One of the best games of all-time. Has fantastic side quests, loads of weapons and armor to scavenge for. If you haven’t played this yet, I cannot recommend this enough. With The Witcher 4 announced, this is the perfect time to dive into Geralt’s world.
  • Skyrim Special Edition (-75%, $9.99) – Bethesda’s acclaimed RPG. If you haven’t tried this yet, give this a go.
  • Borderlands 3 (-90$, $5.99) – Just got a few updates when the movie came out. Solid looter shooter that you can play with friends that do not need to rely on seasonal content.
  • Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (-75%, $9.99) – Jedi meets Souls. Loads of backtracking, but at the price of a meal? This is an auto pick up. Deep combat, and proves Respawn can make single-player games with high quality.
  • Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Deluxe Edition (-35%, $48.74) – Latest entry in the Like a Dragon franchise and this one features naval combat! Reviewed very well.
  • Dead Island 2 (-70%, $14.99) – One of the only few games Embracer released that seems actually to have made money
  • Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Deluxe Edition (-70%, $23.99) – Ubisoft open-world but with Avatar’s license. Better than expected and still getting DLC and support.
  • RoboCop: Rogue City (-85%, 8.99) – Better than expected. Brings familiar RoboCop visuals and violence. I’m actually surprised this turned out as well as it did.
  • The Quarry (-86%, $9.79) – Supermassive’s narrative-driven cinematic games. This one has kids camping and then horror hits.
  • Atomic Heart (-60$, 27.99) – It’s like BioShock but with less polish and less interesting story. Final DLC already released.
  • Dead Space (-80%, $13.99) – One of the best remakes ever. It’s a travesty that we still haven’t gotten confirmation of a remake of Dead Space 2. This improves the original in every way, and I can’t stress enough how awesome this game is. The vibe and atmosphere Motive has made when you walk corridors and see shadows? Yeah, awesome creepy stuff.
  • Marvel’s Midnight Suns PS4 (-85%, $8.99) -Strategy meets Marvel. Harder than it looks, but if you want something different that has solid length
  • Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake (-35%, $38.99) – First time this is on sale. Reviewed very well and if you haven’t played the Dragon Quest games before, this might be a good starting point.
  • Gotham Knights (-85%, $10.49) – Arkahm meets Bat Family. No support for this, but might be worth a play for Batman fans just to see the various combos and moves for each character.
  • BioShock The Collection (-80%, $9.99) – Another value-for-money bundle. BioShock 1 has one of the most memorable stories I’ve ever played.
  • Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (-50%, $29.99) – Not AAA but feels like it. Solid voice acting, has a crazy good story. Lots of side quests and content. Only issue is the combat might be a bit too simplistic for some. I really liked this even if we most likely aren’t getting a sequel, I’d still say this is a must-play.
  • Back 4 Blood (-90%, $5.99) – Co-op zombie game. Support has ended but servers are still up. Sequel said to be in development. It’s fun and at that price, get your friends to pick it up for co-op
  • Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League (-90%, $6.99) – Insanely low price. Has an offline mode now so might be worth a shot? DC looter shooter that flopped hard.
  • Octopath Traveler 2 (-60%, $23.99) – Reviewed very, very well. Classic JRPG with a ton of memorable characters that you can play in whichever order you prefer.
  • Visions of Mana (-40, $35.99) – Action RPG and is the fifth mainline entry in the Mana series. Mostly got favorable reviews when it was released.
  • Nobody Wants to Die (-60%, $9.99) – detective game not an action title. Reminds me of Minority Report minus Tom Cruise (is that good or bad?).
  • Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes (-65%, $17.49) – Old school RPG and a surprise hit. Still getting support. Reviewed quite well. If you need another JRPG fix, this might be it.
  • Alien Isolation The Collection (-75%, $9.99) – Horror game where you’re not a space marine, sequel in development. Underrated horror game. This includes the DLCs.
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake (-50%, $14.99) – The first part of the remake, and is a perfect example to show your kids how this game was the biggest thing back then
  • Deathloop (-80%, $11.99) – One of Arkane’s finest works and implements time travel without being annoying.
  • LA Noire (-50%, $19,99) – Rockstar’s detective game. Slower paced than your usual action game, so don’te expect moment-to-moment gunfights. More deliberate but offers something new. Not getting a remaster or remake soon, so worth a shot for now.

Chances are, the full sale that houses these games will launch this coming week, and it should be a much bigger sale with more games in the list. Once it’s out, expect it here on MP1st.

Ghost of Yotei New Weapons, Watanabe Mode and All the Info Revealed at State of Play

Today, Sony hosted a State of Play dedicated to Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima that stars an entirely new protagonist.

If you haven’t been able to see the entire thing, or just want an overview of the new stuff that was shown in the 20-minute gameplay clip, you’ve come to the right place.

Ghost of Yotei State of Play for July 10 Info Overview

We’re treated to a great sample of the game’s evolved combat, and while it’s known that Atsu will be able to dual-weild katanas, there are a lot more weapons that can be used.

This isn’t the complete list, but here’s what’s shown as usable by players:

  • Katana
  • Dual Katana
  • Kusarigama
  • Odachi
  • Spear
  • Bow
  • Rifle

There’s also a new “Watanabe Mode” that plays some awesome hip hop tracks as you explore the game’s world. This features new tracks from the director of Samurai Champloo, Shinichirō Watanabe.

Not enough info for you? Here’s a rundown of everything else revealed, organized by section (thanks, Shinobi!).

Story Details

  • A gang of outlaws known as the Yotei Six killed Atsu’s family (protagonist) and left her for dead
  • You can return to your childhood with the push of a button during the course of the game, giving more context to her loss
  • 16 years later, she has learned to fight, hunt, kill, returns to Ezo (present day Hokkaido) for vengeance, where locals believe her to be an “Onryo” (ghost)
  • The Yotei Six are The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon and Lord Saito

General Gameplay and Exploration

  • Focuses on player freedom more than any Sucker Punch game
  • Exploration: There is a card ‘clue system’ that invites you to different areas of the game
  • You can interrogate enemies in the world, ask about Oni, Kitsune, etc, encountering different enemy types and learning new abilities from investigating these areas
  • Atsu can hunt down her own bounties and confront unique enemies, make money as a mercenary
  • Use slides as quick ways to traverse the environment
  • Follow golden birds to find altars of reflection and gain new abilities, or buy a traveler’s map from the cartographer
  • You can use a spyglass to find points of interest in the world
  • Fields of flowers can give you a boost while on your horse

Weapons and Combat

  • Each weapon is uniquely effective against specific enemies with upgrades to master
  • Players can focus on their preferred playstyle like stealth, ranged or melee or combination of them
  • You can lose your weapon during a fight, enemies can switch weapons mid-fight so you have to adapt (ex: dual swords are best against spears)
  • Atsu is not a samurai or ninja but a lone wolf mercenary who will “use every advantage, every dirty trick to win a fight”
  • Ranged weapons include bows and arrows, kunai, bombs and rifles
  • You can also toss blinding powder at enemies to give yourself an edge
  • You will meet several allies during the game, including a “mysterious wolf” that also helps you in battle

Customization and Misc.

  • Set up camp out in the world where you can play different songs, cook to ready for a fight, and you can invite important characters from your allies that check on you and offer upgrades and unique items instead of you having to go to them
  • Customization: Upgrade armors, gear, charms, different skins/color/designs on weapons and armor
  • Composer Toma Otowa crafted the musical score to combine eastern instrumentation with western flavors, a collaboration of a multitude of artists
  • Full Japanese voice over and lip sync available with subtitles
  • Kurosawa mode returns to emulate classic black and white films with film grain, audio filter and increased wind physics
  • A new “Miike Mode” has been added, partnering with Takashi Miike, director of 13 Assassins, which brings the camera closer during combat with increased mud and blood splatter blood

There’s also new PS5 bundles themed around Ghost of Yotei and it looks classy.

Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition PS5 Bundles and Accessories

Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition PS5 Console Bundle and Accessories

Krafton Hit With Lawsuit Following Firing of Subnautica 2’s Leads

For those out of the know, Subnautica 2‘s early access has been delayed to 2026 after news of Krafton firing the studio’s leads. Krafton noted that the game needed more time, although its co-founders stated otherwise, saying that the game was fully ready for early access. With reports that the publisher was doing this to avoid paying a $250,000,000 bonus, Krafton issued a statement to clarify the situation.

And now a new development has arisen, with the co-founders of Unknown Worlds Entertainment now suing Krafton.

Krafton Claims Studio Leads Abandoned Their Responsibilities

Earlier today, Krafton issued a statement to explain the ongoing situation at Unknown Worlds Entertainment and its motives behind the firing. According to Krafton, the three former executives abandoned their responsibilities on Subnautica 2, as the title was initially slated for early access in early 2024, but had seen multiple delays, eventually leading up to the latest one. The full statement reads:

First and foremost, we sincerely thank you for your continued support, passion, and unwavering dedication to Subnautica. We wish to provide clarity on the recent leadership changes at Unknown Worlds, a creative studio under KRAFTON.

Background of Leadership Change

KRAFTON deeply values Subnautica’s unique creativity and immersive world-building. To provide fans with even better gaming experiences, we acquired Unknown Worlds, fully committed to supporting Subnautica’s future success. We collaborated closely with the studio’s leadership, who were central to the creation of the original Subnautica, to foster the optimal environment for a successful Subnautica 2.

Specifically, in addition to the initial $500 million purchase price, we allocated approximately 90% of the up to $250 million earn-out compensation to the three former executives, with the expectation that they would demonstrate leadership and active involvement in the development of Subnautica 2.

However, regrettably, the former leadership abandoned the responsibilities entrusted to them. Subnautica 2 was originally planned for an Early Access launch in early 2024, but the timeline has since been significantly delayed. KRAFTON made multiple requests to Charlie and Max to resume their roles as Game Director and Technical Director, respectively, but both declined to do so. In particular, following the failure of Moonbreaker, KRAFTON asked Charlie to devote himself to the development of Subnautica 2. However, instead of participating in the game development, he chose to focus on a personal film project.

KRAFTON believes that the absence of core leadership has resulted in repeated confusion in direction and significant delays in the overall project schedule.

The current Early Access version also falls short in terms of content volume.

We are deeply disappointed by the former leadership’s conduct, and above all, we feel a profound sense of betrayal by their failure to honor the trust placed in them by our fans.

KRAFTON’s Full Support for the Dedicated Development Team

To uphold our commitment to provide you with the best possible gaming experience, we made the difficult yet necessary decision to change the executive leadership. Subnautica 2 has been and continues to be actively developed by a dedicated core team who share genuine passion, accountability, and commitment to the game. We deeply respect their expertise and creativity and will continue to provide full and unwavering support, enabling them to focus solely on delivering the exceptional game you deserve.

KRAFTON’s Commitment to its Promises in Rewarding Employees

Additionally, KRAFTON has committed to fair and equitable compensation for all remaining Unknown Worlds employees who have continuously and tirelessly contributed to Subnautica 2’s development. We believe that the dedication and effort of this team are at the very heart of Subnautica’s ongoing evolution, and we reaffirm our commitment to provide the rewards they were promised.

Fans will always remain at the center of every decision we make at KRAFTON. Moving forward, we promise transparent communication and continued efforts to sustainably develop and expand the beloved Subnautica universe.

Honoring your trust and expectations is a core tenet at KRAFTON. We are committed to repaying your patience with an even more refined and exceptional gaming experience.

There are some rather big claims in this statement, and whether any of it is true or not, it seems that the statement has not sit well with the co-founders, as Charlie Cleveland has announced that they are suing Krafton.

Co-Founders Fire Back With a Lawsuit

As announced on X, Charlie Cleveland, one of the co-founders of the studio working on Subnautica 2, has stated that he, along with Max McGuire (co-founder) and Ted Gill (former CEO), will be pursuing legal action against Krafton regarding this incident.

Hello everyone,

It continues to be an explosive and surreal time for the Subnautica team and community. None of this is what we wanted. But we truly appreciate the amazing support we’ve gotten from everyone. It means a lot to us, especially now.

As I wrote last week, we know in our souls that the game is ready for Early Access – that’s just how we roll. And we’d like nothing more than for you to play it (game devs live for this). But it’s not currently under our control.

We’ve now filed a lawsuit against Krafton: the details should eventually become (at least mostly) public – you all deserve the full story. Suing a multi-billion dollar company in a painful, public and possibly protracted way was certainly not on my bucket list. But this needs to be made right. Subnautica has been my life’s work and I would never willingly abandon it or the amazing team that has poured their hearts into it.

As for the earnout, the idea that Max, Ted and I wanted to keep it all for ourselves is totally untrue. I’m in this industry because I love it, not for riches. Historically we’ve always shared our profits with the team and did the same when we sold the studio. You can be damned sure we’ll continue with the earnout/bonus as well. They deserve it for all their incredible work trying to get this great game into your hands.

Stay tuned.

As the lawsuit moves forward, it’s clear this is more than just a dispute over game delays; it’s a battle over creative control, compensation, and the future of one of indie gaming’s most beloved franchises. With two very different stories emerging from Krafton and the former leadership of Unknown Worlds, the legal proceedings may ultimately be the only way to uncover what really happened behind the scenes of Subnautica 2. In the meantime, fans are left in limbo, waiting not just for the game’s release, but for the truth.

“Battlefield 6 Open Beta” Code Added to BF Labs Latest Build

Could Electronic Arts be readying a beta for the new Battlefield game even if we still don’t know its official title? While it might sound absurd to think of it now, a recent development with the Battlefield Labs client suggests DICE might be cooking something up.

Bear in mind that the information you’re about to read is based on data mining the Battlefield Labs client, which means it’s not official; however, it’s worth discussing, given the recent additions.

Battlefield Labs Client Update Adds BF6 Beta Mention

According to the 1BF Telegram group, the string “Battlefield 6 open beta” has been spotted in the latest client update for BF Labs.

This is a small part of the code from a larger piece, but you can clearly see “Battlefield 6 Open Beta” mentioned. While we don’t expect the new Battlefield game to be titled “Battlefield 6,” since that might confuse a lot of people after Battlefield 2042, it would make sense for DICE to have that name for the in-development entry since they didn’t expect people to see it.

EA has reaffirmed that the new Battlefield game’s reveal is due sometime this summer. Perhaps there’s a chance we’ll get a surprise open beta drop as well? Chances are, EA will use the beta as a marketing ploy to get people to pre-order the game, much like what other multiplayer shooters do.

In other Battlefield 6 news, info about its campaign has surfaced thanks to a datamine, and there’s even early placeholder footage too.

While EA hasn’t even officially revealed the new Battlefield game yet, a new report mentions how the publisher is targeting 100 million players for it, and how it has the largest budget in Battlefield history.

Do you think EA will surprise us all by dropping a Battlefield 6 open beta when the game is revealed? Or is that too wishful thinking on our end?

Phasmophobia’s Latest Update 1.000.019 Adds Quality-of-Life Changes

Kinetic Games has another fresh Phasmophobia patch available for console and PC gamers this July 10, and it’s more than your usual bug fixes. For Phasmophobia update 1.000.019, the developers have even slotted in new quality-of-life changes.

Chief among the new additions include new recordable video evidence, map names are now displayed when browsing available rooms I multiplayer and more.

Phasmophobia’s July 10 Update Adds New QoL Features

Phasmophobia Update 1.000.004

New

Added new recordable video evidence:

  • The ghost turning Crucifix in Sunny Meadows.
  • The burning Crucifix in the chapel of Sunny Meadows.
  • Obake shapeshifting.

An audio and visual cue will now signify the completion of recording video evidence.

  • A flashing light will appear on the Tier 1 Video Camera, while an audio signifier will accompany this on Tiers 2 and 3.

Map names are now displayed when browsing available rooms in multiplayer.

Changes

The Journal keybind can no longer be mixed with another keybind.

Adjusted rewards so harder-to-record media feels more valuable.

  • Examples: Freezing Temperatures and Ghost Writing now reward $10 instead of $5, Sounds of a hunting ghost reward $20 instead of $15, while a dead body now rewards $5 instead of $10.

Adjusted the range for recording sounds during ghost hunts and events.

  • On top of this, the scream heard at the end of an event can now be recorded, giving a larger window to capture sounds from the event.

Volume adjustments for several interactions:

  • The audio from the teddy bear has been reduced.
  • Light extinguish interaction audio has been reduced.
  • Door rattle/slam/squeak interaction audio has been reduced.

The Tier 3 Photo Camera’s screen is now larger, aligning it with the aspect ratio for polaroids found in the Journal.

The CCTV unit in the warehouse van is now the updated design.

The number of available media deletions is now linked to the difficulty type or custom game difficulty multiplier implemented:

  • Amateur / x0 – x1.99 – 5 deletions
  • Intermediate / x2 – x2.99 – 4 deletions
  • Professional / x3 and above – 3 deletions

Photos with $0 value can now be deleted without the need to vote.

In a match with 3 or 4 players, only a majority vote – not unanimous – is required to delete a piece of media.

Several pieces of video evidence have been changed from being unique to now counting as an interaction:

  • Phones
  • Sinks
  • Showers
  • Camping stove
  • Bear trap

Removed rocking chair sound evidence due to it not being a ghost sound.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused all players to receive the same statistics as the player responsible for capturing media.
  • Fixed an issue that would allow for videos to be recorded again from the same spot after deleting the original from the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the rocking chair to not be recordable if the recording started halfway through the animation.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to record video evidence through cars.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a translucent ghost to be labelled as ‘Ghost’ on Photos.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Sound Recorder to be unaffected by Master Volume.
  • This fix also applies to Sounds from the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Voodoo Doll to be thrown by the player at a greater distance than intended.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed flickering lights to be recorded during hunts, causing interference for players trying to capture a hunting ghost.
  • Fixed an issue that would sometimes spawn the location of a Sound within a wall or outside the playable area, preventing it from being recorded.
  • Fixed an issue that caused keybinds to be applied without the player selecting ‘Apply’.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the lights and side screen of the Tier 3 Video Camera to turn off when not recording.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from scrubbing through recorded Sounds in the journal.
  • Fixed an issue where freezing temperatures could not be captured as Photo evidence if set to Fahrenheit.
  • Fixed an issue that caused missing localisation on Apocalypse trophies.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the player from reviving despite having pulled the High Priestess tarot card.
  • Eye adaption will now work correctly when viewing the trophy cabinet.
  • Fixed an issue where the Firelight would remain lit when a player cycles through their equipment.
  • Fixed an issue where the ghost’s footsteps could not be heard in Training.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking a special badge applied the prestige theme to ID card.
  • Fixed an issue where Sound Recorder SFX could be heard from far away on larger maps.
  • Fixed an issue where the Firelight Extinguished sound could not be played back from the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Sounds to be cut off early when being played back in the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Incense (at any Tier) to be lit if USE was held too long.
  • Fixed an issue where, if the player deletes a Unique piece of media, the remaining Duplicate would not then become Unique.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented VR players from pulling all 10 tarot cards.
  • Fixed an issue in Prison and the campsites where the generator light would display incorrectly depending on the player’s distance.
  • Fixed an issue where VR players could not interact with the tarot cards if they have first been interacted with by a non-VR player.
  • Fixed several localisation and visual issues with the trophies found in the cabinets.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some ghost Photos to not count towards completion of the Apocalypse challenge.
  • Fixed an issue where ghosts could spawn inside walls.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause a clone of the host to remain in the lobby, despite the host having left the game.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Monkey Paw wish ‘‘I wish to see the ghost’’ from working correctly if there was no summoning circle also in the map.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented gamepad-users from selecting the Enable Loadout shortcut with the correct button.
  • Fixed an issue for VR players where their character’s hands would shake involuntarily.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the correct UI from displaying on a video camera if a player was recording from the same camera in the van.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crucifix would disappear through the floor of Sunny Meadows when placed down.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to use Equipment after death if they had shaken the Tier 2 UV Light right before dying.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented earned Bronze and Silver Apocalypse trophies from displaying correctly after being earned.
  • Fixed an issue with VOSK for French users that would result in frequent game crashes.
  • Various other bug fixes and improvements.

Given Kinetic just released the Chronicle patch last month, don’t expect another content drop anytime soon. That said, the studio has confirmed that we’ll be seeing support well into 2026, so there are more free content drops on the way.

Death Stranding 2 Update 1.007 Now Out But It’s Doing More Harm Than Good

Porters, you should see the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach update 1.007 (complete version 1.007.000) available for download now. However, if you can avoid it, perhaps it’s better to wait before installing it.

Based on user feedback, the patch itself doesn’t offer anything substantial, but it does seem to have dragged in technical issues to PS5 gamers after applying it.

Death Stranding 2’s New Update Version 1.007.000 Available for Download on July 10

While Kojima Productions and its partner studios haven’t said anything about what the patch actually fixes or improves, the update does usher in new technical issues.

People who own the game have mentioned that it is now stuttering, which is noticeable in the sounds and music after applying the update. This claim was further supported by additional gamers, who reported that the sound cuts out for a second every 2-3 minutes.

Regarding bug fixes, one issue that might be resolved is the floating carriers on horizontal ladders bug that was dragged in by a previous patch.

Some of the issues that are confirmed to still be present after today’s patch include:

  • PCC items are still missing player IDs
  • PS5 overheating on map (for some)
  • Users have reported that the fan on the base PS5 is louder after installing the patch.
  • Sound issue wherein it gets super loud during combat (quick fix is to pause/unpause to normalize audio levels)

There’s no word whether Sony will release an official changelog for the update or acknowledge the issues it dragged in, but we have reached out to PlayStation, and we’ll update the article if we hear anything back.

If you notice any changes or improvements from this update, leave a comment and let us know. Hopefully, no other issues arise from this download once it is applied.

Astro Bot Update 1.017 Adds Five New Levels and Bots via “Challenge” DLC

Team Asobi has a special treat for Astro Bot players today, as a new update is available for download now, and this adds new levels and bots for free.

Players will see it appear as Astro Bot update version 1.017 (1.017.000), and clocks in at just 963 MB. For a deeper look at each new level, and who the new bots are, head on below.

Astro Bot Challenge DLC Update Version 1.017.000 Now Live

All five levels are available to download now, and it won’t be a staggered release like in previous free DLC drops. The five new levels are:

  • Twin-Frog Trouble
  • Suck It Up
  • Handhold Havoc
  • High Inflation

The last one is a secret  that you’ll want to uncover yourself. This brings the game’s total levels at 90+! Of course, this new DLC won’t be complete without new bots to save.

If you don’t want anything spoiled for you, I suggest turning away now, but if you don’t care about that, here are the new bots added with today’s update:

  • Chrono Cross – Serge
  • NieR Automata – 2B
  • Ghost of Yotei – Atsu
  • Final Fantasy 7 – Cloud Strife
  • Final Fantasy 7 – Sepiroth

As you can see, Square Enix finally caved and allowed Final Fantasy 7 characters to be part of the game! This is a huge win given just last year, it was mentioned how the publisher didn’t want to include FF7 characters in the game as bots even if they are part of PlayStation history.

We suspect this won’t be the last we’ll see of new Astro Bot levels, and if Team Asobi announces anything, we’ll let our readers know/

Palworld Update 1.076.269 Released for v0.6.2 and Aims to Finally Solve PS5 Save Issues

Pocketpair Inc. has released multiple patches to fix the save corruption issues plaguing  Palworld PS5 players since launch. Today, the studio releases another one and this might finally do the trick.

Palworld update 1.076.269 is available for download now, and this is for version 0.6.2 It also fixes an issue with Pals disappearing in Dimensional Pal Storage along with other bugs.

For those on PS5, the save slots for Palworkd will now be limited to just 10 (autosave and manual) after applying today’s update.

Palworld PS5 Saves Limited to Just 10 After Update 1.076.269

Palworld Update 1.000.022

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Pals in a Dimensional Pal Storage would disappear under certain conditions.
  • Optimised the memory usage to reduce the likelihood of crashes when playing for a long time.
  • Fixed an issue where graphics would deteriorate greatly in some cases on Xbox.
  • Fixed an issue where save/load could fail on PS5.
  • Limited the number of save data on PS5 to a maximum of 10.+
*Data for players who already have 11 or more save data will not be automatically deleted.

Pocketpair also explained their fix for the save issues on PS5, stating, “As a result of our ongoing investigation, we have identified the cause of the PS5 data loss issue. When too many save data files (including autosave and backups) build up on the PS5 version of the game, it causes a system error on the PS5 backend, which results in the game failing to save and corrupting data. This is ultimately our fault, and we apologise to our players for the difficulties and trouble this has caused.”

For those who experienced the “CE-100022-5” or “CE-100096-6” error at least once, you’re likely to encounter this error again due to the corruption caused to the save data. The only solution here is to completely delete all of your Palworld save data before playing.

Hopefully, this finally does the trick.

Lords of the Fallen New Update 1.079 Slots in Co-Op and Item Fixes

HexWorks has pushed out a new Lords of the Fallen patch this July 9, and this is to help co-op stability, as well as fix a few issues with the Gravix Rune and more.

Players on consoles will see this as Lords of the Fallen update version 1,079, while the developers have this tagged as patch v2.0.41. Expect a small download for the hotfix on all platforms.

Lords of the Fallen Version 1.079 Applies Various Fixes

Lords of the Fallen Secret Classes Reset

Here’s what’s new per HexWorks:

  • Improved Co-Op Stability:
We’ve resolved several issues to further improve the overall stability during co-op sessions.
  • Reduced Co-Op Stuttering:
By increasing the timer on the auto-save function during co-op play, we have further reduced the stuttering some players were experiencing.
  • Gravix Rune Fix:
Fixed an issue where the Gravix Rune was not functioning as intended. It should now work properly and provide the expected benefits.
  • Restored Lost Keys:
Addressed a legacy issue where some players lost Tancred’s Key or the Drainage Control Key from their inventory. These items have now been automatically restored to affected players.

Don’t be surprised to see HexWorks release more updates to the game given the dev team’s excellent post-launch support.

In other Lords of the Fallen news, the publisher’s CEO slams a former dev on how they “lied for likes,” wanted to end support for the game as early as May 2024.

Lords of the Fallen’s sequel is in development, and we should hear more about it before the year is over given it’s set for release in 2026.

There’s no specific date for when this update will arrive, but it typically comes shortly after the preview test. For example, update 1.1 was released almost a week after the preview release, so we can probably expect the same turnaround, or close to it.

As always, we’ll keep an eye on when the update drops, so be sure to check back later!
