Ahead of Season 3 of Marvel Rivals, NetEase has released an update this July 3 on all platforms, and this minor patch houses some hero bug fixes before we get the big balance patch for the new season.
Console gamers will see this as Marvel Rivals update 1.000.030, and this is a small download that adds new store items and applies fixes to Thor’s Thunder behaving strangely due to latency.
Sony has launched a surprise sale on the PlayStation Store, and this one is called the July Savings promotion! The highlight of the sales is undoubtedly Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, as the hit RPG goes on sale for the first time on the digital storefront.
Read on for everything new in the patch notes.

Fixes
All Platforms
1. Resolved an issue where returning from a player’s Career page via the Leaderboard would sometimes redirect you back to the Leaderboard homepage.
Heroes
1. Thor’s Thunder Troubles:
Resolved an issue where high latency could cause Thor’s Thorforce to behave erratically, causing his abilities to be canceled and leaving the God of Thunder feeling less than worthy. Now, when Thor strikes with Mjolnir, his power won’t get lost in the clouds.
2. Illusory Interference:
Squashed a bug that caused defeating illusions created by Magneto’s Magnetic Resonance and Psylocke’s Psychic Echoes to improperly trigger effects that occur when landing a final hit or assisting in a KO, such as Loki’s Laufeyson Reborn, Thor’s Odinson Reborn, etc. Now, only defeating true heroes can trigger these effects.
This is a minor update, which is to be expected given we are getting the big Season 3 patch next week that brings Jean Grey, new cosmetics, a major hero balance pass, and more.
Ark’s Summer Bash 2025 event is now live, and this means new chibis, new skins and more to earn. Read on for the Ark Survial Ascended Summer Bash details for this year, as well as the official patch notes.
While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we're referring to as Battlefield 6 even there's very slim chance that's the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.

As with any major Ark patch, we expect a few follow-up updates to be released to address any nagging issues this patch may cause.
Xbox has been hit with yet another wave of layoffs, as Microsoft announced today that it would be cutting 9,000 jobs across its entire company, impacting several industries in which it operates.
It’s been five long years since Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was first released, and despite being a single-player game, the DLC support the game has gotten over the years is rather impressive, especially when compared to other, more online-focused Dragon Ball games.
With the epic conclusion of Dragon Ball Daima happening a few months back, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot feels more relevant than ever, as Bandai Namco has continued to breathe new life into the game, and will do so soon with an all new DLC expansion that dives into the story of Daima, retelling its iconic saga and further exploring fan-favorite moments that never got the spotlight. Though there are no signs of an actual follow-up happening, I can’t help but feel, after the newest DLC trailer, that the Daima DLC might be that long-awaited sequel we’ve been waiting for.
Being set up as a two-part DLC, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot fans will soon be able to venture into the Demon Realm with the Daima DLC pack coming later this month. Although it’s only the first part of the DLC, based on the gameplay trailer that debuted today, it’s impressive to see just how much work has gone into this DLC. It doesn’t look to be a simple play through a few quests that seemingly speed-run through the story of Daima, but instead looks to be more of a fully realized reimagining of Daima within the Kakarot engine. From dynamic cutscenes and newly designed environments to unique combat scenarios that reflect the younger, more mystical tone of Daima, this DLC appears to be aiming for more than just fan service. It’s shaping up to be an ambitious expansion that respects the source material while delivering a fresh and engaging gameplay experience for longtime players.
Considering how old DBZ: Kakarot is, you would think that the studio and publisher would have saved this adventure as a full blown game, and yet, here we are, five years later about to get DLC to the main game, DLC that looks to go beyond the standard scope of “DLC” like with most other games.
It may not be a standalone sequel that I was hoping to see, but so far, it’s shaping up to be one in spirit. Of course, that could be a different story come release, but we won’t have to wait too long to find that out as the first part of the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Daima DLC arrives on July 17 on all available platforms.
Xbox has been hit with yet another wave of layoffs, as Microsoft announced today that it would be cutting 9,000 jobs across its entire company, impacting several industries in which it operates.

Xbox has been hit with yet another wave of layoffs, as Microsoft announced today that it would be cutting 9,000 jobs across its entire company, impacting several industries in which it operates.
This includes their Xbox Gaming division, which has seen many of its studios impacted by the layoffs, to the extent that multiple games have been cancelled, along with a studio closure.
The prices of digital games have just become pricier for PlayStation gamers in Brazil, as multiple titles have begun to see price increases on the PlayStation Storefront.
Perfect Dark Goes Back Into the Shadows After Microsoft Shuts Its Studio Down
Today is a sad day for the gaming industry, as more layoffs have been confirmed. Specifically with Microsoft, as they confirmed today that they were laying off over 9,000 employees, with it also impacting their gaming division.
While the exact total of employees who were laid off at Xbox is still being tallied, we do know that the scope of the layoffs is pretty devastating, as it has resulted in the cancellation of multiple projects, including Perfect Dark, which also came with the news that The Initiative was closing its doors after nearly seven years since it was founded.
A summary of today’s events can be found below, listing every known studio affected by layoffs and every cancelled game.
Up to 9000 employees were let go from Microsoft as a whole (not just their gaming division)
The Initiative closed, and Perfect Dark was cancelled
Rare layoffs with Everwild cancelled
Blizzard layoffs.
50% (more than 70 employees) at Turn 10 were laid off.
Call of Duty studios Raven and Sledgehammer impacted by layoffs.
50% of the Xbox User Research team has been laid off.
New Zenimax online IP cancelled with layoffs at both King and Zenimax.
Despite reporting a substantial $25.8 billion profit last quarter, this is Microsoft’s fourth major layoff event in 18 months, raising questions about their long-term strategy and the stability of game development under their umbrella. The cancellation of highly anticipated titles like Perfect Dark and Everwild, alongside an unannounced Zenimax online IP, and the outright closure of The Initiative studio after seven years without a shipped game, paints a somewhat worrisome picture, as it calls into question the future of Xbox and the welfare of its development studios will look like.
I wish I could say the worst is over, but something tells me there’s plenty more layoffs to come in the few months left of this year, not just from Xbox, but from others in the gaming industry as well.

Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag™ -70% $8.99 – With the remake bound to be on the way at some point, perhaps Ubisoft will offer a free upgrade if you own the base game? Or maybe discount it significantly?
Battlefield™ 1 Revolution -85% $5.99 – Probably the last great Battlefield game before the franchise’s decline. Insane levolution elements. Nice gunplay and that headshot ping sound!
Bayonetta -75% $6.24 – PatinumGames’ Devil May Cry but with hair and legs.

Burnout™ Paradise Remastered -75% $4.99 – Criterion’s best work? One of the best racing games ever made.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition -70% $17.99 – Larian Studio’s hit before Baldur’s Gate 3. Very deep RPG. I didn’t finish it, but also very polished. If you finished BG3, jump into this one.

DREDGE – Digital Deluxe Edition -50% $13.49 – fishing horror RPG. Lovecraft fans will dig this. It’s a quirky game, but it works. This includes the Blackstone DLC.
EA STAR WARS™ TRIPLE BUNDLE -67% $29.69 – Houses Squadrons, Fallen Order and Battlefreont 2. The games’ value far outweighs the price, but I think you can buy these piecemeal at some point and even save on money.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach -55% $17.99 – The latest mainline Five Nights game on consoles if I’m not mistaken. Used to get DLC, and sometimes gets support.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink Standard Edition -60% $23.99 – Surprise hit and got a slew of DLCs. My friend who doesn’t typically likes JRPGs told me how good this is.
Heavy Rain -60% $11.99 – Quantic’s serial killer narrative game. This is my favorite of the bunch and if the killer hasn’t been spoiled for you, then it’s worth a pick up. Graphics might look dated by this time though.,
HELLDIVERS™ SUPER-EARTH ULTIMATE EDITION -60% $15.99 – The first Helldivers game. Not a third-person shooter, but still provides a challenge.
Hogwarts Legacy + Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Deluxe Editions Bundle -75% $24.99 – Not a bad deal if you weren’t able to get Quidditch Champions via PS Plus. Big draw is Hogwarts Legacy, but think of Quidditch as the icing on the wizard sundae.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 -75% $14.99 – Construction and management sim. If you ever wanted to have your own Jurassic Park, this is the game to fulfill those dino dreams.
Just Cause 4 – Gold Edition -85% $8.99 – Given we aren’t getting a new one anytime soon it seems, this might be the perfect time to reminsince about this once-great series.
Killing Floor 2 -90% $2.99 – Crazy cheap for what you get. Third chapter close to being released, but still at $3, this is worth it.
KINGDOM HEARTS All-In-One Package -60% $39.99 – Includes: KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, • KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, KINGDOM HEARTS III
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered -50% $24.99 – Doesn’t go on sale as often as it should. Remastered version of Insomniac’s superhero franchise.
Mass Effect™: Andromeda – Standard Recruit Edition -70% $5.99 – The game that sunk the franchise, it got updates after, which might have made the experience better.
Maximum Entertainment Puzzle Platformer Bundle -20% $11.99 – Houses Degrees of Separation, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, Skully, Teslagrad 2, Teslagrad Remastered
Maximum Entertainment RPG Bundle -20% $23.99 – Includes Cris Tales, Hammerwatch, Hammerwatch 2
Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™ -90% $4.99 – Sequel to Mordor. I preferred the first game but this is still a solid action game
MLB® The Show™ 25 -43% $39.89 – Deepest discount for this sports game yet. Your only choice for licensed baseball on consoles.
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate + Injustice 2 Leg. Edition Bundle -90% $9.99 – If you don’t care about playing the latest fighting games, this bundle is a good deal given both are excellent games.
Persona 3 Reload PS4 & PS5 -55% $31.49 -. It’s Persona 3 reimagined. Last DLC is already out.
Persona 5 $19.99 – Latest mainline Persona game, most likely being remade after P4.
Phasmophobia -25% $14.99 – This is a horror investigation survival game and is getting decent support. There are new features added, with more promised on the way. A bigger game than expected.
Rise of the Ronin™ Digital Deluxe Edition -34% $52.79 – Open-world action-RPG from Team Ninja.
Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition | PS4 & PS5 -75% $9.99 – Hyper violent first-person shooter by Fling Wild Hog. It doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Slitterhead Deluxe Edition -50% $29.99 – Silent Hill creator’s latest game, though underperformed and didn’t review well
South Park: The Video Game Collection -80% $11.99 – Includes Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole
STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II: Celebration Edition -80% $7.99 – Someone here said the player base is still healthy. If so, then this is a good multiplayer game to buy. Underrated visuals and sound work from DICE. It got a lot of flack for the MTX stuff, but it is a solid Star Wars experience. Game’s getting a massive resurgence as of late.
STAR WARS™: Grand Collection -55% $40.49 – Includes STAR WARS™: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast™, STAR WARS™: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy™, STAR WARS™: Republic Commando, STAR WARS™: Episode I Racer, STAR WARS™: Bounty Hunter, STAR WARS™: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles™
Subnautica PS4 & PS5 -50% $14.99 – Action-adventure survival game where you try and find a way out of the planet. Sequel inbound this year. Reviwed very well.

The Ascent PS4 & PS5 -75% $7.49 – cyberpunk-themed action RPG. Rceived positive reviews upon release. YouTube it to see if you’ll like it.
The Callisto Protocol™ – Digital Deluxe Edition PS5 -85% $13.49 – Dead Space but not as good. Lowest it’s been on PSN, and worth a shot to try now after the updates
The DioField Chronicle Digital Deluxe Edition -60% $29.99 – Strategy RPG by Square Enix, not like FF Tactics. Not everyone will like the gameplay, but for a break from your traditional JRPGs.
The Evil Within -75% $4.99 – This is Mikami’s first horror game after leaving Capcom. Way harder than Resident Evil.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™ -40% $14.99 – Survival action game. I don’t think this did well, but it does get updates from time to time.
The Persona Collection -60% $35.99 – Includes Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 3 Portable
The Plucky Squire -35% $19.49 – Award-winning action-adventure platformer. Not a hard game to beat, but this one received a lot of praise for its art direction, creative designs etc.
UFC® 5 Deluxe Edition -65% $27.99 – Lowest I’ve seen it on PSN. The only new MMA game on consoles, and thankfully, this one gets loads of support with free fighter updates.
UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End & UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle -70% $11.99 – Final chapter of Nathan Drake’s Uncharted journey, and the DLC starring Chloe.
Wolfenstein: Alt History Collection -80% $11.99 – Houses The New Order, The Old Blood, The New Colossus, and Youngblood

Respawn Entertainment has released a new Apex Legends patch this July 2, which players will see as download version 1.000.102. This is a minor patch that applies fixes, so don’t expect any new piece of content.
Additionally, we’ve included a list of known issues that the developers are currently addressing, which will be addressed in the next update for the battle royale game. The big fixes in this patch include Wattson’s heal not working as intended, and a bug regarding the Power Sword and Mirage.
While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we're referring to as Battlefield 6 even there's very slim chance that's the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.
Apex Legends New Update Today Focuses on Bug Fixes
Respawn has released the official changelog for today, and they are the following:
Resolved a bug causing Wattson’s Energized Healer not to heal as much as it should
Fixed the Power Sword effects being visible when Mirage was cloaked
Updated Arenas: Duels so that only Kills = Wins and timed out Duels now result in draws. This change is to address players hiding during the match.
Resolved an issue causing Mad Maggie’s intro animation to crash on PS4
Updated the description of Daily Challenges to be more accurate
Fixed an issue causing Apex Pack prompts to send players to the wrong screen
Updated the Apex Pack info screen to be more accurate
Resolved an issue allowing players to slide and interact with a Respawn Beacon from further than intended
The studio also acknowledged that “textures on trees and other foliage look a little different after today’s update<‘ and a fix for this is being worked on.
Here are the known issues currently on Respawn’s radar via the official Apex Legends Trello board:
INVESTIGATING
Inactive EVO Harvester maintains hitbox from active state
Reports of high CPU usage while running the game
[Xbox] FPS drops with Bloodhound Ult
Founder’s badge shows as locked, but can still be equipped
FIX IN PROGRESS
[Retro Packs] Visual error with progress bar, still tracking in backend
Crash after opening Apex Packs then immediately switching tabs
[Alternator] Reports of some skins missing iron sights
Yesterday, Respawn rolled out an update that touched up the game in the following areas:
Arenas Duels
Player Highlight only during countdown
Faster mode timing and duel transitions
Devotion LMG
Removed improved scaling from high-tier barrels and stocks
Mag size reduced to 48 (was 52)
EVA-8
Damage per pellet increased to 7 (was 6)
Reduced rate of fire
Purple and Gold bolts now match other shotguns
Once another patch is set for Apex Legends, expect it here on MP1st.
Developer Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends update 2.88 on all platforms, and this is an unannounced patch for the battle royale. Don’t expect any new content, as this patch is purely for fixes.
The developers also released a hotfix yesterday, which is included in the info we’ve collected below.
In Borderlands 4, players will have a fun new feature — the option to either lower or completely mute Claptrap's voice.

Season 4 Reloaded is now live for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which adds new weapons, new maps, a ton of weapon attachment changes, and more. If you’re on console, you’ll see this download appear as Black Ops 6 and Warzone update 1.076.
I suggest grabbing a cold drink, as the weapon changes are a long read if you want to pore over every change implemented.

Party Ops (Launch Window)
Party all night in this Free for All party mode challenging players to finish a randomized set of minigames with the highest score!
The clock’s ticking, each minigame occurring in a short time frame. There’s no score limit and Scorestreaks are disabled. Matches take place across Babylon, Grind, Nuketown, and Skyline, with the top three scoring Operators winning the competition. Success means adapting to each new challenge on the fly, as the type and order of minigames is randomized at the start of each match.
Minigames include condensed versions of some classic Party Modes alongside wild challenges like the Dance Off, tasking Operators to get down and funky in the designated dance zones, as well as Musical Zones later in the season, featuring multiple capture points that dwindle down to a final location when the music stops. Better move fast!

Pickaxe – Melee Weapon (Event Reward)

TR2 CQB Auto Conversion (Event Reward)
Converts the TR2 into a fully automatic weapon with a fast fire rate that gradually slows down with sustained fire. Improves handling at the cost of damage range. Equips a new default Barrel and Magazine and unlocks an exclusive extended Magazine. Blocks Barrel Attachments.
New Global Events
Beavis & Butt-Head (MP, ZM)
The two biggest idiots in animation are getting off the couch and joining the fight. Earn XP in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Call of Duty: Warzone while the event is live to earn free rewards like the new Olympia Special and Pickaxe Melee weapon.
GLOBAL
Movement Updates
Additional improvements to player collision that could cause players to get stuck when colliding with each other, particularly when teammates are prone.
Weapons (Multiplayer & Zombies)
Our focus in Season 04 Reloaded is attachment tuning. When it comes to attachment balance, our goal is not for every attachment to be viable on every weapon. That said, we want every attachment to have a place across the many builds and playstyles in Black Ops 6. These changes fall into two main buckets:
1. Portfolio-wide improvements to attachments that have lower usage.
2. Targeted, weapon specific changes to enable new builds.
Among the list of attachments receiving buffs across all weapons are the Short Barrel, Lightweight Foregrip, Precision Foregrip, Fast Motion Laser, Target Laser, and Combat Stock. An example of a targeted change is the C9, which has had its Tactical Laser significantly improved.
Are you tired of seeing goofy operators in military shooters? If so, the initial images of Battlefield 6's factions should make you happy somewhat, as there's none of that to be found.

MODES
Havoc RoyaleLimited-Time Mode
Havoc Royale brings chaos to Verdansk as Operators drop into specific zones – Downtown, Airport, or Train Station – with their Loadout already equipped. Inspired by the Havoc modes from Modern Warfare® II and III, this Call of Duty: Warzone-exclusive variant mixes unpredictable modifiers with high-stakes survival. Adapt fast, outlast the competition, and be the last squad standing.
Below is a breakdown of some of the details players can expect to see in this new mode:
» Overview «
Number of Players:
44 Players (Quads)
Match Duration
15-minute matches
» Buy Stations «
Buy Stations now offer a unique set of items tailored for the Havoc experience:
Squad Buyback
Armor Plate
Gas Mask
Door Barricade
Munitions Box
Redeploy Drone
Hand Cannon
UAV
» Modifiers «
Throughout the six gas collapses, a single modifier will be active at a time. These modifiers randomly rotate, dramatically changing the rules of engagement. Two special Finale Modifiers can occur toward the end of a match.
Standard Modifiers
Charge Jump
Perform superhuman leaps. Holding the jump button increases height, and your movement velocity affects horizontal distance.
Cranked
Outlines of enemies flash red periodically. Operators gain a proximity HUD, Tracker footsteps, faster reloads and plating, and a visible countdown timer. When the timer hits zero? You explode. Open caches to extend time; eliminations fully reset it.
Crouch Potato
Crouching transforms Operators into a sack of potatoes. Movement and jumping remain possible. While crouched, Operators regenerate health and armor unless damaged.
Eye See You
Everyone has an always-on Advanced UAV… and googly eyes.
Melon Heads
Operators sport oversized watermelon heads. Headshots cause explosive damage. Body damage is reduced; head damage is multiplied.
Make It Rain
Ammo and cash are abundant. Bullets are removed from your reserves, not your magazine – essentially infinite fire. Fire Sale is also active.
Unregulated Airspace
Airspace restrictions are lifted. More Killstreaks can be used simultaneously and are more frequently found as ground loot.
Finale Modifiers
Showdown
All players receive identical Loadouts. All nearby weapons are removed from the environment.
Rising Gas
Gas begins to rise vertically, forcing players to climb to safety. Gas Masks and Personal Redeploy Drones appear more frequently during this phase.
Resurgence CasualNew Mode
Number of Players:
12 Players
32 Bots
The Casual experience comes to Resurgence in the mid-season, mixing humans and bots in a fight to the finish. The main Resurgence ruleset applies, so do what it takes to stay alive and keep your squad redeploying. Drop in to warm up, teach a new player about the game, or just for a more relaxed Resurgence experience.
As with Battle Royale Casual or Call of Duty: Warzone Bootcamp, game progression is limited in this mode and results will not count towards or against your stats. This mode also doesn’t count towards your eligibility for Resurgence Ranked Play.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was recently revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase, its existence wasn't a complete secret, as files for the game were spotted in Call of Duty HQ and had been leaked as far back as eight months ago.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded is here, and this ushers in new content in the form of new maps, new weapons, and a whole mess of weapon adjustments too. There’s a lot to take in, as this might be one of the most comprehensive weapon balance passes we’ve seen in Black Ops 6 since launch.

FromSoftware has released the latest patch for Elden Ring Nightreign, and it fixes some annoying issues players have experienced since the game’s last patch. Players on consoles should see this as Elden Ring Nightreign update version 1.05, and this should be a small download.
Chief among the fixes are multiplayer matchmaking improvements, the Weapon Type now featured in the Armament info menu, and more.
Just a few days ago, Team Jade finally reconfirmed the existence of Delta Force's console versions.
While this is a minor update, there is a chance that FromSoftware has snuck in some secret additions or adjustments, similar to what the devs did with the last patch.

During the 85th Annual General Meeting of Nintendo shareholders, President Shuntaro Furukawa was asked how long the company plans to support the Nintendo Switch 2, the new console launched in early June.
Furukawa didn’t give an exact timeline but explained that the company hopes the Switch 2 will have a life span similar to the original Nintendo Switch.
When the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed, the gaming world was surprised to see that some of its games would even be priced higher than the PS5/Xbox Series X|S titles.
Nintendo Plans Long-Term Support for Switch 2, Like the Original Switch
The original Switch continues to receive new games even after more than eight years since its release. He also emphasized that more games are still being developed for the original Switch, even though the new console is already available.
When asked how long the Switch 2 would be on the market, Furukawa replied, “The Nintendo Switch 2 has only just been released, so it is not the right time to discuss its life cycle. However, as with the original Nintendo Switch, our goal is for as many customers as possible to enjoy it for as long as possible.
He continued, “With Nintendo Switch 2, you can also play Nintendo Switch titles. We are still developing software for Nintendo Switch, and there are already many titles released. So, I think there will be cases where people play Nintendo Switch games for the first time on Nintendo Switch 2.”
He further explained, “When you consider the Nintendo Switch, those who were first graders in elementary school at launch are now in junior high school, and the longer a platform remains active, the more opportunities people have to pick up and play its software. For Nintendo Switch 2 as well, we will continue to carefully develop each title so that as many people as possible can enjoy them.”

By now, many of you are probably deep in the Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 update, with all its new story content, agents, and activities that have been rolling out since its release. This past week, we saw the introduction of a new limited-time in-game event, “Operation Yum,” which allows players to earn even more rewards!
But did you know that this event isn’t only happening in-game? That’s right, for a limited time at select food chains, Zenless Zone Zero fans will have the opportunity to try out some tasty food themed on the game itself! There are even some in-game rewards you can snag for doing it, too.
In case you missed it, Zenless Zone Zero Season 2, or Version 2.
Proxies, Operation Yum Has Commenced
For the next 45 days, miHoYo is hosting a collaboration event called “Operation Yum,” which sees in-game food and treats make their way into the real world at participating retailers. A comprehensive breakdown of the event can be found on the official Zenless Zone Zero website, which lists all participating chains worldwide. For those of us living stateside, Beard Papa’s is currently running their collab until July 15. Those living in Europe, specifically around London, you’ll be glad to know the collab event is starting soon, as Butchies will be offering collabradive burgers from July 15 to August 15.
Here’s a breakdown of the Butchies’ collab:
Featured Products: ZZZing Burger
Available Locations: All Butchies shops in London
Purchase Rewards: Players who purchase the ZZZing Burger combo at participating stores will receive a scratch-off card to redeem in-game rewards, including an exclusive avatar and profile card, as well as a Zenless Zone Zero Operation Yum Series postcard and poster.
Not bad! I can’t vouch for how good the food is at Butchies myself, since I live in the states (Beard Papa’s is great, though!) but if you do happen to love Butchies and are a fellow player of ZZZ, well, now you got a good excuse to go!
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
In Borderlands 4, players will have a fun new feature — the option to either lower or completely mute Claptrap’s voice.
Claptrap is often seen as the mascot of the Borderlands series, known for his loud humor and constant talking. While many enjoy his commentary, others may prefer a quieter experience. This new option gives players the chance to enjoy the game without his never-ending chatter, making it a welcome change for some.
Have you seen the Borderlands movie released this August? If not, you're not the only one, and it seems based on critical reception, you aren't missing out on anything special.
Borderlands 4 Players Can Mute Claptrap
Borderlands 4 features an audio slider purely for Claptrap’s voice. (Credits: Chadly)
Sam Winkler, the narrative director, shared his thoughts on this new option on X (formerly Twitter). He shared that some lines were written just for the Claptrap volume control feature. One of them includes, what he called, “maybe the dumbest and most niche reference” to a “terrible accent” from a classic immersive sim.
A screenshot of the option shows that players can’t increase Claptrap’s volume — they can only reduce it, mute it, or set it at 100%. However, Winkler mentioned that he had proposed the idea of doubling the robot’s voice volume, but it appears the leadership rejected that suggestion. He said, “I pitched that you should be able to put him from 0% to 200% but i think the government said no.”
In related news, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford made a statement about Borderlands 4 that was poorly received, suggesting that ‘real fans’ would pay $80 for the game. In response to the backlash, Pitchford issued a partial apology, clarifying that he never intended to take anyone for granted.
