By now, many of you are probably deep in the Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 update, with all its new story content, agents, and activities that have been rolling out since its release. This past week, we saw the introduction of a new limited-time in-game event, “Operation Yum,” which allows players to earn even more rewards!
But did you know that this event isn’t only happening in-game? That’s right, for a limited time at select food chains, Zenless Zone Zero fans will have the opportunity to try out some tasty food themed on the game itself! There are even some in-game rewards you can snag for doing it, too.
In case you missed it, Zenless Zone Zero Season 2, or Version 2.
Proxies, Operation Yum Has Commenced
For the next 45 days, miHoYo is hosting a collaboration event called “Operation Yum,” which sees in-game food and treats make their way into the real world at participating retailers. A comprehensive breakdown of the event can be found on the official Zenless Zone Zero website, which lists all participating chains worldwide. For those of us living stateside, Beard Papa’s is currently running their collab until July 15. Those living in Europe, specifically around London, you’ll be glad to know the collab event is starting soon, as Butchies will be offering collabradive burgers from July 15 to August 15.
Here’s a breakdown of the Butchies’ collab:
Featured Products: ZZZing Burger
Available Locations: All Butchies shops in London
Purchase Rewards: Players who purchase the ZZZing Burger combo at participating stores will receive a scratch-off card to redeem in-game rewards, including an exclusive avatar and profile card, as well as a Zenless Zone Zero Operation Yum Series postcard and poster.
Not bad! I can’t vouch for how good the food is at Butchies myself, since I live in the states (Beard Papa’s is great, though!) but if you do happen to love Butchies and are a fellow player of ZZZ, well, now you got a good excuse to go!
A gamer at heart, James has been working for MP1st for the last decade to do exactly what he loves, writing about video games and having fun doing it. Growing up in the 90's gaming has been in his DNA since the days of NES. One day he hopes to develop his own game.
In Borderlands 4, players will have a fun new feature — the option to either lower or completely mute Claptrap’s voice.
Claptrap is often seen as the mascot of the Borderlands series, known for his loud humor and constant talking. While many enjoy his commentary, others may prefer a quieter experience. This new option gives players the chance to enjoy the game without his never-ending chatter, making it a welcome change for some.
Have you seen the Borderlands movie released this August? If not, you're not the only one, and it seems based on critical reception, you aren't missing out on anything special.
Borderlands 4 Players Can Mute Claptrap
Borderlands 4 features an audio slider purely for Claptrap’s voice. (Credits: Chadly)
Sam Winkler, the narrative director, shared his thoughts on this new option on X (formerly Twitter). He shared that some lines were written just for the Claptrap volume control feature. One of them includes, what he called, “maybe the dumbest and most niche reference” to a “terrible accent” from a classic immersive sim.
A screenshot of the option shows that players can’t increase Claptrap’s volume — they can only reduce it, mute it, or set it at 100%. However, Winkler mentioned that he had proposed the idea of doubling the robot’s voice volume, but it appears the leadership rejected that suggestion. He said, “I pitched that you should be able to put him from 0% to 200% but i think the government said no.”
In related news, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford made a statement about Borderlands 4 that was poorly received, suggesting that ‘real fans’ would pay $80 for the game. In response to the backlash, Pitchford issued a partial apology, clarifying that he never intended to take anyone for granted.
The latest patch for WWE 2K25 is live now on consoles and PC, and this is a minor update that slots in fixes related to The Island, and the game’s roster.
Players will see this as WWE 2K25 update version 1.017 on PS5/Xbox Series X|S, while those on last-gen platforms (PS4, Xbox One) will see the download appear as version 1.17. Given that the Dunk and Destruction DLC was just released last week, it’s understandable that this follow-up patch is primarily aimed at fixes.
While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we're referring to as Battlefield 6 even there's very slim chance that's the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.

Remedy Entertainment has just released its second patch for FBC: Firebreak today. This is update 1.003 for patch 1.3, and this changes the way perks work in the game.
This patch is to make sure the game progression is smoother and more rewarding for players. Check out a glimpse of what is to come below.
While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we're referring to as Battlefield 6 even there's very slim chance that's the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.
FBC: Firebreak Update 1.003/1.3 Fixes Perks
While full patch notes are not out yet, here is a small preview from Remedy Entertainment
Update: Complete patch notes have been added for patch 1.3 by Remedy:
General
Added the “Surviving the Workplace” series introductory video explaining the premise of the game.
Localized subtitles are missing from the video; they will be added in a later patch.
Updated PS5 Cloud Streaming to the latest version
Fixed the outdated descriptions for “What a Day” and “OSHA Compliant” Achievements/Trophies to actually describe what players have to do.
Fixed an issue with “Veteran” and “Firebreaker” Achievements/Trophies, which prevented them from unlocking.
Improved the in-game notification messaging for when maintenance happens.
Previously, players only received the maintenance message if they were in the main menu. Now, if you are playing a match and go back into the main menu, the message will be resurfaced to you, so you don’t miss it.
Network
Various fixes and performance improvements for backend and online services.
Improved backend connection stability so that players disconnecting from a match happens less frequently. (Error codes 22001 and 22002)
When backend maintenance happens, players can now finish the Job they are currently playing instead of being disconnected from the game. (This one needs a bit more time in the oven.)
Economy Changes
Perks economy rebalanced.
Balancing
Swivel Cannon (Fix Kit Improvised Device) now has 3200 health (up from 1000).
As the cannon does splash damage, it damages itself when shooting nearby enemies and was destroying itself too often. This change should make it more durable and allow it to make a few more shots at close range before being destroyed.
Improved enemy behavior
Enemies rush less into areas their compatriots got killed in making enemy behavior a bit more exciting.
Audio
Updatedthe idle sounds of all Corrupted Items to make them more identifiable and easier for players to pinpoint by sound.
User Interface and HUD
The exact number of Lost Assets and Research Samples that the player is carrying are now displayed in the HUD during a Job.
Added tutorials for the secondary function of each Crisis Kit Tool (activates when the Tool is level 2 or 3).
Added the player’s Reputation Level indicator to the bottom of the Research menu.
Added visual notification to the Main Menu when players have new items or Perks that they can unlock in the Requisition or Research menu.
Also added visual notifications to new items in the Requisition menu and Perks in Research menus that the players can afford to unlock.
Fixed an issue where turning off the camera shake from the menu didn’t actually turn it off.
Gameplay & Performance
Fixed an issue where the Vacuum Perk didn’t pick up Research Samples.
Fixed a crash which could happen when the Night Terrors Perk is activated.
Visuals and Rendering
Fixed an issue where the Lost Asset and Research Sample visual highlight only disappeared for the player picking them up and remained visible for other players.
Fixed an issue where the “Jasper Post Box” Corrupted Item could spawn inside other objects.
Original Story:
Changes to Perk Economy
Perks are a central part of FBC: Firebreak’s Crisis Kit system. They let you specialize, adapt, and experiment with different combat strategies.
We’re updating the Perk economy in the 1.3 patch to make progression smoother, more rewarding, and better paced. The goal is to help players reach their builds faster, experiment more freely, and make more meaningful choices with their Crisis Kits.
We’re taking a moment to break down how perks work and what’s changing in our next patch to make the system even more rewarding and flexible.
What Are Perks?
Perks are passive abilities that twist or enhance your gameplay in ways both strategic and surprising. Want to give every bullet a small chance to deal electric damage? Go for it. Prefer the ability to “shake off” conditions like fire or radiation by jumping up and down? That’s in the toolbox, too…and yes, we know, we need to do a better job in telling you things like this are possible in our game.
Right now, there are nearly 50 unique Perks available in the game for you to experiment with.
Unlocking and Upgrading
To get access to more Perks, you’ll need to raise your FirebreakerRank. That’s your overall career progression and it’s visible in the main menu below your character.
Once unlocked, you can buy and upgrade perks using two currencies gained from playing the Jobs:
Lost Assets (your general upgrade currency, which you can find during Jobs from Shelters and around the level. They have a yellow glow around them)
Research Samples (a job-specific currency found in Jobs where Corruption is turned on. The Corrupted Items drop these once neutralized, but you can also find them around the level in rare quantities)
Each Perk can be upgraded from level I (basic effect), to level II (stronger effect), and up to level III (strongest effect that also radiates to nearby allies through the Resonance System).
Resonance: Teamwork Makes You Stronger
The Resonance System allows fully upgraded Perks (level III) to benefit nearby teammates. This means that by sticking close to your squad, you can tap into each other’s loadouts, whether you’re the one with the boost or simply standing near someone who is.
It’s our way of closing the gap between seasoned players and newer Firebreakers. Just being part of a team gives you a leg up.
Also worth noting: your personal Resonance Shield, which protects you from damage, only recharges when you’re near at least one teammate and recharges even faster when you’re close to both.
Building Your Loadout
As you level up your Crisis Kits, you unlock more Perk Slots – up to nine in total. How you fill those is entirely up to you. We have noticed there’s a lot of confusion about upgrading a perk in the Research menu, and then ensuring it is active in your Loadout.
A level I perk takes one slot
A level II perk takes two slots
A level III perk takes three slots
That means you can run three maxed-out Perks and share the effects with your teammates or mix it up with nine different level I Perks for variety. You can always choose to equip a Perk at a lower level, saving slots for something else. It’s a flexible system that rewards creativity and experimentation.
What’s Changing Soon?
Some Perk sets will become cheaper across all levels, while others will go up in cost.
The overall time to unlock everything will remain about the same, but you’ll gain access to the resonance system across a wider range of perks much earlier.
Heads-up: If you’ve had your eye on any high-level Perks, now might be a good time to unlock them before the new prices go into effect.
We will be sure to update this post if proper patch notes for FBC: Firebreak are released later today.
Known for their critically-acclaimed single-player titles like Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Control, Remedy Entertainment is venturing into new territory.
Yesterday, Capcom released Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds, which ushered in new monsters, gameplay balance changes and more. This also dragged in a significant bug, which was triggered whenever players checked the menus for appearance.
Capcom acknowledged the issue, and we surmised that this would need a patch to resolve, which is what we’re getting now with Monster Hunter Wilds update 1.020.020, that’s live on all platforms.
Fixed an issue that would cause the game to crash when selecting “Equipment Appearance” or “Palico Equipment Appearance” from the Appearance Menu in your tent.
– Fixed an issue where using an insect glaive Focus Strike on Rey Dau could cause you to disconnect from the network.
– Fixed an issue where the rewards from investigations that included Lagiacrus or Seregios would sometimes be less than intended.
Steam®
– Fixed an issue where the frame rate could become unstable when having a ranged weapon equipped.
The other issues yet to be addressed, according to Capcom include:
The text for the Cosmetic DLC Pass is not displayed correctly in the Claim Content menu at the Support Desk. (PS5 only)
If adjustments have been made to the Keyboard Configuration settings before the update, keys assigned to Ascend and Descend for Underwater Controls may have duplicate control binds. (Steam only)
*To avoid this issue, open the Keyboard Configuration settings and reassign the key that shares a control assignment with Ascend/Descend.
We have no word yet on when we’ll receive an update to address those issues, but we’ll let our readers know once we have more information.
Bloober Team, the development studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake for Konami, is concocting their own survival horror game based on a new IP titled Cronos: The New Dawn.
Last week, Techland released Dying Light 2’s big Summer Update that brought in the Balatro crossover content, the UGC Fest, and more. Alongside this came a heaping of game improvements and bug fixes. Unfortunately, some bugs managed to escape Techland’s reach, as players suffered crashing issues after applying the patch.
Today, the studio released a new update, which Dying Light 2 players will see as version 1,075 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and version 1,75 on last-gen platforms.
The prices of digital games have just become pricier for PlayStation gamers in Brazil, as multiple titles have begun to see price increases on the PlayStation Storefront.
Dying Light 2 Update for July 1 Is a Minor Patch for Crash Fixes
Techland’s announcement reads, “Pilgrims! We just released a small hotfix focused on fixing the crashes. Make sure to update to the latest version of the game, which will be 1.23.1 after the fix!”
That’s about it for this patch. There are no front-facing changes made as far as we’re aware. If you’re curious what got added in the Summer Update, here’s an overview:

The prices of digital games have just become pricier for PlayStation gamers in Brazil, as multiple titles have begun to see price increases on the PlayStation Storefront.
Late yesterday, Capcom released the latest content drop for Monster Hunter Wilds via Title Update 2. With the patch, the developers introduced a slew of new content such as new monsters, layered weapons and more.
Unfortunately, the patch also brought in something unintended, and that’s a major bug.
The prices of digital games have just become pricier for PlayStation gamers in Brazil, as multiple titles have begun to see price increases on the PlayStation Storefront.
If you’re experiencing game crashes when you check the “Equipment Appearance” menu, you’re not alone.
Monster Hunter Wilds Equipment Appearance Crashes Acknowledged by Capcom
Over on X (formerly Twitter), Capcom mentioned, “We have confirmed that the game may crash when you open the “Equipment Appearance” or “Palico Equipment Appearance” via the Appearance Menu in your tent.”
The devs are working on the issue and will provide an update once they have it.
Outside of that, there are also other issues the developers are aware of which include:
The text for the Cosmetic DLC Pass is not displayed correctly in the Claim Content menu at the Support Desk. (PS5 only)
If adjustments have been made to the Keyboard Configuration settings before the update, keys assigned to Ascend and Descend for Underwater Controls may have duplicate control binds. (Steam only)
*To avoid this issue, open the Keyboard Configuration settings and reassign the key that shares a control assignment with Ascend/Descend.
Network connection may be lost when performing a Focus Strike on Rey Dau with an Insect Glaive under certain situations.
The game may crash when selecting Equipment Appearance or Palico Equipment Appearance in the Appearance Menu that can be accessed from a tent.
Chances are, this Equipment Appearance crash bug will need a patch to fix, which means it might take a while before we see it rolled out, given the devs need to pass certification on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
If you’re aware of a workaround for this issue, please leave a comment below and let us know.

Following initial communications, the "Mass Damage & Consumer Foundation" in the Netherlands has filed a class action lawsuit against Sony, accusing the company of artificially inflating PlayStation Store prices by exploiting its dominant position in the digital game sales market.
The prices of digital games have just become pricier for PlayStation gamers in Brazil, as multiple titles have begun to see price increases on the PlayStation Storefront.
This isn’t strictly limited to new and upcoming games, as some older titles are also being affected by the change, with Sony reportedly citing challenging market conditions as the reason for the increase.

More Pressure Continues to be Placed on Latin-Region Gamers
As spotted by members of the PS5 Reddit, multiple titles on the Brazilian PlayStation Storefront have seen their prices adjusted, from the recently released Death Stranding 2 to even titles like the Demon’s Souls Remake (launched in 2020), which have seen their prices increased from their original levels just days ago. A statement issued by Sony reads:
“Sony Interactive Entertainment has updated PlayStation Store content prices due to challenging market conditions, including fluctuating exchange rates. As a result, Brazil has seen an increase in PS Store games and add-on content. Pricing decisions vary by region and are based on the current economic environment.”
Back in April 2025, Sony announced that it was raising the price of PS Plus plans in Brazil and other Latin American storefronts, which also didn’t bode well for fans in those regions. No doubt, this move will continue to push gamers in the area away from the platform, especially considering the value of Brazilian currency being at a near all-time low as of writing. Compared to other storefronts, such as Steam, prices are significantly lower as they’re based on the region. Take Hell is Us for example, on PSN it costs R$339,90 to pre-order, while Steam has it currently listed for R$179,99, which was also cheaper than the game’s original PSN price before this increase.
The bigger question now is, how long before we start seeing this trickle-down effect in other regions around the world? While prices have remained somewhat stable in the United States, with many speculating that Sony has been increasing prices elsewhere to keep them down in their primary markets, it remains to be seen how long before their bigger markets begin to be affected.
This could very well be a sign of things to come, something we’re likely to see take effect next year if market conditions don’t improve, especially with all the tariff talks that have been ongoing lately.
In what could be good news for PC gamers worldwide, Sony appears to be revisiting its country restrictions for games released under the PlayStation banner.

Known for their critically-acclaimed single-player titles like Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Control, Remedy Entertainment is venturing into new territory. Their latest release, FBC: Firebreak, is a brand-new IP set in the Control universe, and it breaks away from the studio’s tradition with its strong emphasis on multiplayer.
Does Remedy manage to capture the magic they’ve delivered in their beloved single-player experiences within this new multiplayer landscape? Let’s find out.
Just a few days ago, Team Jade finally reconfirmed the existence of Delta Force's console versions.
Into the Oldest House
So, what is FBC: Firebreak? Well, the short of it is that it’s a three-player cooperative game in which players face off against hordes of enemies from the Control universe, as they try to complete objectives to clean the Oldest House, where the game takes place. There’s not much to it beyond that in terms of narrative scope, and for those who have played Alan Wake or Control and are wondering if this expands on any of those games, the answer is no. It’s not entirely a bad thing, as the game is its own thing outside of the setting. For those who enjoy playing single-player and are worried that they would be missing out on the story, you can put those worries aside.
Still, it does feel like a rather big departure for Remedy in the narrative side of things, and if I am honest, connected or not, the lack of a meaningful narrative to tie things in FBC: Firebreak does seem to harm it. As it stands, the game is set up to be mission-based, with five total missions, or as the studio calls them, jobs, available at launch. Each job has three levels of missions you have to go through to unlock the “full” job, which, in reality, feels like pointless padding, as the first level of a job lasts for only a few short minutes. Mine, as well as my coop partners’, immediate response was, “Really, that’s it?” as the “Mission Complete” screen popped up, making us think we had done something wrong. It feels a bit like a head-scratcher, so why bother to include that variation of said job?
As you progress through each job level, it becomes a rinse-and-repeat process until the final boss or objective, which are typically followed by more repetitive tasks, such as fixing an item or transporting barrels.
With no story to tie these levels in any meaningful way, there’s not much of a sense of “progression” that you would get from something similar to Left 4 Dead, and other cooperative games. By the time I had unlocked the final job, it felt like I was going through the motions while waiting for the objective to complete, with no real drive to see it through.
That’s not to say there isn’t fun to be had with FBC: Firebreak, because the core loop of going around a level and getting overwhelmed by a bunch of enemies as you try and shoot your way out, that’s the big grab with these horde-like PvE style games. Sadly, it’s hard to enjoy that when the objectives are so bland. The final job has you running around the map to find heaters and placing them on anomalies, and it feels like an eternity to destroy a single one despite there being a bunch of heaters around them.
All the jobs end the same way, though, with you rushing back to the elevator to extract, while a high-level enemy spawns. I feel like these were supposed to be the most intense parts of the jobs, which they usually are, but I can’t take it all too seriously when I see a boss bar show up, and it’s just some dude named Jake, or some other common name. I assume they are the names of a fellow Firebreak who perished trying to clean the house, but there’s nothing to confirm that, no narrative hint to say who this thing was.
I know this game can be really fun because, out of the five jobs, one stands out the most, where you go around and shoot at things as the environment violently transforms into a pink goo. There’s no need to fix fans, no waiting around for barrels to be filled, transporting cargo, or hunting down radioactive balls. Just point and shoot, the most basic, simplistic objective, and yet it brings up the case that sometimes less is more. That specific job felt closer to the classic Left 4 Dead experience, and I think FBC: Firebreak could have used more of that, with a narrative to help tie things together and give players a real reason to undertake these jobs.
Despite Being Set in Control, FBC: Firebreak Is Afraid of Getting Creative With Weapons
The core loop of FBC: Firebreak is to play through these jobs and collect Research Samples and Lost Assets so you can unlock new gear in the battle pass-like system, as well as perks. There are classes, which are dubbed Crisis Kit, that have their own abilities that are meant to work in synergy with the others. For example, there’s a kit that lets you spray water, with another kit that can electrocute anything that is wet. As you unlock more gear, you get access to better kits’ abilities and some perks that add passive buffs.
Progression, in my opinion, is a bit too slow for my taste, as some of the game’s best items felt like they came in far too late into the game, where I can see a lot of players probably dropping it by then. I like that the kits get a variety of cool abilities, but it is a shame that the guns in the game are just so basic. For a multiplayer game set in the Control universe, you would think that there would be some really cool and creative guns designed for this game, but the reality is that you’re stuck with the everyday archetypes of guns you see in every other shooter. Control built this idea of the Object of Powers, giving the player a Service Weapon that could transform into different weapons.
You don’t get that here. Like I said, they’re pretty basic guns, like a pistol, shotgun, machine gun, assault rifle, just guns you would expect to see from any shooter. That’s fine to have those types of firearms, but it feels like a missed opportunity to experiment with some more unique ones. There is a gun you can pick up during jobs; it looks like a shredder and shoots out a bazillion bullets at a time. That’s one of the coolest things I’ve seen, and it sucks that Remedy didn’t give every other weapon that same treatment. For the setting that FBC: Firebreak has, I expected to see more when it came to the weaponry.
As promised by Rebel Wolves, our first look at gameplay for The Blood of Dawnwalker just aired today, and we got a significant look at the game's combat, graphics, and more.
Hiss, Hiss, Miss?
I wanted to like FBC: Firebreak. Mainly because we desperately need more horde-like cooperative games in the vein of Left 4 Dead. I think it has a lot of promise, and seeing what Remedy is already doing with the feedback provided by the game’s community, it seems like they are working on making the game better than it currently is. There’s some fun to be had for sure, and I like the idea that Remedy is presenting itself here, but ultimately, there’s not much of a reason to keep you playing after finishing the initial stages. Sure, there are higher-level difficulties to play through and modifiers, but those don’t fix the core loop of some of these jobs, primarily about performing repetitive and tedious tasks that you’re likely to be over with the second you realize how often you have to do them.
It’s hard to recommend the game in its current state, but it is a part of Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra, so if you’re subscribed to either, then yeah, I would say give it a shot.
Score: 6.5/10
Pros
Strong Co-op Foundation.
Synergistic Class Abilities that encourage teamwork.
Though the progression system can be a bit slow, there are tons to unlock and play around with. \
The visuals are pretty.
Cons
Bland mission structure.
Lack of any narrative to at least tie things together better.
Uninspired Bosses/Extraction Endings
Mundane Objectives
Unimaginative Weaponry
A budget $40, though even that’s a tough asking price for how little there ends up being in content.

While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we're referring to as Battlefield 6 even there's very slim chance that's the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.
While DICE and EA have remained mum about the new Battlefield game (which we’re referring to as Battlefield 6 even there’s very slim chance that’s the actual title), a ton of info about the game has surfaced from the closed Battlefield Labs playtest.
Even in its closed pre-alpha state, DICE has been routinely updating the test client with new maps, features and more. This time, the latest update is connected to player movement.
While gun customization has been present in Battlefield games before, the new entry in the franchise will feature a more robust way of doing it, which should give players more freedom in how they want to use their weapon in matches.
Before checking out the footage, remember that this is from a closed pre-alpha build, and as such, should NOT be treated as the final version of the game. For all we know, DICE might remove some of the movement mechanics once it’s all said and done, and there is a chance the devs can add a few stuff connected to it too.
New Battlefield Game Movement Mechanics Has Players Divided
The footage comes from the BF1 Telegram leaker group. Given that we don’t want to receive another takedown notice from publisher Electronic Arts, we’ve embedded the same footage that someone uploaded to the Battlefield subreddit.
As you can see, in the Battlefield Labs client, aside from sliding, players can jump and dive to the side while firing. It seems to be a faster pace than what we’re used to seeing in past Battlefield games, but I personally don’t find anything wrong with it. However, some players are saying it leans too much into Call of Duty territory, which aims for twitch reflexes and arcade-style movement that’s popular these days.
Some Battlefield fans want to see a smaller-paced gunplay and movement system, which I understand why. While Battlefield was never a mil-sim kind of game, it usually relied on authenticity.
Personally, I’m fine with this given we haven’t played it yet or have seen it in action in your regular Battlefield sandbox environment. Also of note, if we limit every new thing that DICE wanted to implement in a new Battlefield game, they then would be called out for playing it safe, or not adding anything new. It’s a lose-lose proposition for the developers; that’s why I’m cutting them some slack. Its’ not like they can’t dial the movement speed back if they wanted to.
In other Battlefield 6 news, our early look at the game’s factions is a step in the right direction, as there doesn’t seem to be any goofy character skins present — at least for now.
EA hasn’t announced anything yet, but the publisher has reiterated that we can expect the new Battlefield game to be revealed this summer.
While we've already seen countless gameplay of the new Battlefield game via Battlefield Labs, one thing we havent' seen a lot of is the game's gadgets.
Sony has launched one of the PlayStation Store’s rare Weekend Offers. What makes this even rarer is this one is exclusive to PlayStation Plus members only.
For a limited time, a handful of games can be bought at a large markdown from their original PSN Store price.
Given the sale only has a few dozen items, we’ve opted not to do our usual recommendations list given the entire sale is very easy to sort out yourself. This is nowhere near one of the best weekend sales on PSN, so it’s understandable if you don’t have any itch to open your wallets and buy something.
That said, a sale is a sale, and there are still a fair few games there worth the deep discount.
Just a few days ago, Team Jade finally reconfirmed the existence of Delta Force’s console versions. Today, the developers have finally nailed down a release date for it, and it’s August 19, 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S!
Contrary to the original announcement, Delta Force will only be available on current-gen consoles (no PS4, Xbox One versions). It’s understandable why, but it’s not ideal for those who are still gaming on last-gen consoles.
In case you didn't know, Team Jade has released a single-player component for Delta Force titled "Black Hawk Down.
Alongside the console announcement, Team Jade also revealed the details of the shooter’s upcoming new season, and it’s the biggest one yet.
Delta Force PS5, Xbox Series Versions Target August 19 Release
The press release sent by Team Jade mentions the Black Hawk Down single-player campaign will also be released the same day on August 19, as the base multiplayer game.
For those playing the shooter on PC, the Season Break update arrives on July 9, and adds a ton of new content.
Delta Force New Season Break Features:
New Operations Map: Tide Prison
A secret high-tech island prison run by the Haavk, players must infiltrate disguised as prisoners and collect their gear during the mission, solving puzzles solo or with their squad. Swimming and diving have also been introduced, together with underwater exploration.
New Warfare Map: Cyclone
A tropical island with a hidden ICBM missile site, the Cyclone is a grand map offering satisfying infantry and vehicle combat, and introduces a dynamic weather system which affects gameplay immersion and strategy.
New Operator: Tempest
Free with Battle Pass, Tempest comes with enhanced mobility via an exoskeletal device, emergency evasion devices, and a charged drill that disarms enemies, making her an ideal choice for close range combat and deadlocks.
New weapons and vehicles, including an assault rifle, a compound bow, jet skis and more.
Victory Unite improvements, including a real-time command hub and a new call-in support to reduce respawn time.
Finally, a new crossover is also planned for Arknights, which kicks off sometime this summer. Team Jade revealed Stinger’s Executor-themed Appearance, inspired by the Titleless Code outfit, and Luna’s Schwarz-inspired Appearance, based on the Skyline design. Toxik and Hackclaw will also join the lineup, with full reveals coming soon.
It’s been a long time coming, but console gamers can finally experience Delta Force this August.
Are you tired of seeing goofy operators in military shooters? If so, the initial images of Battlefield 6's factions should make you happy somewhat, as there's none of that to be found.
