Report: Highguard Studio Wildlight Seems to Be Closing Its Doors

It was to be expected, but it seems that the studio behind the controversial and short-lived shooter Highguard is heading down the same path and shutting down. Or at least, that is what can be inferred, as it was recently reported that the developer’s official pages are being removed from the internet.

Specifically, the studio’s LinkedIn page was abruptly removed in the last few days, and its official website has also been taken down, now greeting visitors with a “404 Page Not Found” message.

Wildlight Entertainment Could Have Shut Down Pretty Recently

This activity follows mass layoffs at the developer last month. Triggered by the rocky launch of their debut game, the cuts left behind only a skeleton crew in the hopes of keeping the title alive. But this attempt wouldn’t last long, as Highguard’s servers would end up officially shutting down on March 12, a mere 45 days after its release. While the game briefly reached nearly 100,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch, it lost roughly 90% of its player base within the first week.

Reports indicate that this severe drop-off led Tencent, the game’s reported primary financial backer, to withdraw its funding. Without the necessary revenue to sustain a live-service title, the studio was forced into downsizing its workforce, leaving it with just a core team for the game’s final days.

While the potential closure of the developer might not come as a surprise to those who have been following Highguard’s reception, we previously lacked confirmation on the final fate of the studio. Now, it seems more likely than not that the team is preparing for its sunset. In a recent statement from Chad Grenier, co-founder and studio head of Wildlight Entertainment, it was suggested that there is no remaining future for Wildlight, as he seemed ready to move on to other projects. He stated:

While this outcome isn’t the one we hoped for, I leave this experience with a tremendous number of lessons that will stay with me for the rest of my career. And despite everything, I’m incredibly proud of the team and what we built together.

Further supporting this is Grenier’s own LinkedIn profile, which now indicates that his work at the studio ended this very month. This serves as yet another clear sign that Wildlight Entertainment has likely reached the end of its journey, though official confirmation is still pending.

Founded at the end of 2021, Wildlight Entertainment aimed to push the boundaries of the shooter genre with a team of highly experienced veterans from studios like Respawn and various Call of Duty developers. It now appears the studio will be just another casualty in the increasingly vicious state of the modern gaming industry.

Starfield PS5 Version Releases April 7 Alongside “Free Lanes” Update & “Terran Armada” Story DLC

Back in August last year, we reported that Starfield’s PS5 version is planned for release in 2026 alongside the RPG’s second expansion (DLC).

Chalk that leak up from MP1st as another leak that turned out to be legit, as Bethesda has officially announced today that Starfield will be flying its way to PS5 on April 7!

Alongside the PS5 port’s release date, Bethesda also announced that it will also be rolling out the “Free Lanes” update that will add new features to the game for free, and the “Terran Armada” story DLC, which is the second expansion for the game after Shattered Space.

Starfield on PS5 Confirmed and It’s Out Sooner Than You Think

Per Bethesda, “Starfield on PlayStation 5 takes advantage of the console hardware, integrating the lightbar, adaptive triggers, touchpad, and more. On the PlayStation 5 Pro, players can select a Pro Performance Mode to prioritize a higher-target FPS or select Pro Visual Mode.”

Outside of the PS5 version, Bethesda has confirmed we’ll see the Free Lanes update be released on April 7 too.

According to the devs, the Free Lanes update adds new features and systems “designed to deepen the core Starfield experience for both new and returning players, most significantly opening up interplanetary travel within systems.” With the title update, Starfield players can use cruise mode to travel from planet to planet within a star system, where players will experience encounters and activities and spend some quality time on their ship with their crew.

Free Lanes Features Preview

  • New locations – A number of new Encounters, POIs, Dungeons, notable increase in variety for players to discover
  • X-Tech – A new resource used to upgrade weapons, ship modules, and more
  • Enemy modifiers – New enemy tiers with performance modifiers, such as extra shielding, more frequent attacks, or elemental damage
  • Moon Jumper – New land vehicle
  • Outpost improvements – Cross-outpost storage & Milliewhale pet
  • New crew – Muria and the mini-bot
  • Starborn Improvement – Ability to bring a limited number of items through the Unity to a NG+

While the Free Lanes update will be available to all players who own Starfield, there is also an expansion set to be released on the same day, and it’s for Terran Armada.

Here’s a look at what to expect from Terran Armada:

Terran Armada

The new Terran Armada story DLC launches alongside the Free Lanes update on April 7 and will be available for $9.99. PlayStation 5 players will have the option to get it bundled with their purchase of either the Premium Edition or the Premium Edition upgrade.

Brand New Story & Companion

A new threat has entered the Settled Systems. Believing themselves to be the “true” children of Earth, the Terran Armada is made up of members of the United Colonies and Freestar Collective who vanished during the Colony War. The Terrans are an advanced military force, largely comprised of robotic soldiers.

The new questline in Terran Armada is woven into the fabric of the Settled Systems. When the Terrans first arrive their motivations are unclear, but the fate of the war against the Terran Armada will have consequences that ripple throughout the galaxy.
Not all Terrans have it out for the Settled System. Along the way, you’ll meet your new companion Delta, a reprogrammed Terran Armada robot. “He’s not evil,” says Pagliarulo in the deep dive. “But he’s definitely not good.”

Incursions

The Terran Armada DLC also adds the new Incursion system. These can occur almost anywhere in the Settled Systems and are both a key part of the DLC storyline as well as repeatable content with great loot to collect.

Incursions range from small skirmishes to large-scale infiltrations of Terran vessels where the objectives can vary. Some are story-required while others are optional and reward exploration, and you can tune how often non-story Incursions appear through the Gameplay Options.

More Content From Terran Armada

New Ships & Ship Parts: You’ll be able to pick up schematics for new Terran-specific ship modules. You’ll get access to new double-decker habs, a big new cockpit, and new structural parts that have a “NASA tactical” appearance. And if their ship parts aren’t enough for you, you can just acquire the whole ship. The Terrans are the bad guys, so stealing from them is totally justifiable.

New Gear: A military force means new military gear. The weapons, space suits and attire you’ll find in Terran Armada has a more tactical, real-world look and feel. “Less sci-fi, more grounded,” as Pely describes it. Many of the new suits will drop as loot or naturally appear while playing through Terran Armada, but check with your vendors just to see if they have anything new in stock.

New Elite Crew: Want more robots? Maybe something a little… cuter? Visit The Well in New Atlantis and kick off the “Spare Parts” quest to get an adorable little ModelG mini-bot as an Elite Crewmember. Give your mini-bot a nice paint job and even change up its personality for a little extra fun.

Pre-Built Outpost: We know you love building outposts, but sometimes it’s nice to just have a quick and easy place to drop down where you can lay your head. Terran Armada introduces a ready-to-go, fully decorated elevated cabin module for you to drop on the planet of your choice. Though it does come furnished and decorated with a ton of new items, you can make whatever changes you want to the interior once it’s built.

New Outpost Decorations: Take your outpost personalization to the next level with new decorative items like faction-themed skins for your workbenches and adorable little animals and habitats for them.

Once the Free Lanes update is out, we’ll let our readers know about it. Stay tuned for more Starfield PS5 coverage once the game is out.

As expected, given Fallout 76’s maintenance today, Bethesda has released a new game update, and it addresses a large number of issues brought up by the community.

Read on for the complete patch notes.

Fallout 76 Update 2.21 Resolves Issues With the Pip-Boy and More

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the Chainsaw Flamer would hit its target too fast resulting in more damage than intended being delt.
  • Fixed an issue where reflected damage could kill the Scorchbeast Queen in one hit.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from using shortcuts to increase the quantity of items they want to drop.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from closing the Pip-Boy with the expected “B” key bind.

That’s not bad for a minor update. Of course, this doesnt’ resolve all the issues, but this is a good start. Once another one is out, expect it here on MP1st.

In related news, ex-Bethesda devs said they wouldn’t be surprised if Fallout 5 is outsourced, given the studio is busy with The Elder Scrolls 6.

        • DEVELOPERS NOTE: We may revisit this in the future but for now we believe this muddied the gameplay language too much and the benefit of a quieter weapon is attractive enough for these mods.

Fallout 76 Down on March 17 to Bring New Game Update

For those who can’t get into their vault in Fallout 76, don’t fret, you’re not alone. Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down and offline on March 17, and this is to apply a game update.

Same as with every maintenance period for Fallout 76, expect the game’s servers to be offline for hours before they’re operational again.

For the schedule and a sneak preview of the patch’s fixes, read on.

Fallout 76 Servers Down and Offline for Maintenance on March 17

fallout 76 down march 3

Update: The complete patch notes for today’s update are live, and they bring a significant amount of bug fixes and adjustments.

Same as before, Bethesda has not given a schedule for the server outage other than it starts at 10 am ET/7 am PT/9 am CT/10 pm HKT. Expect it to last for at least 2-4 hours, with the regular server maintenance periods finally lifting at around 2 pm ET/11 am PT/1 pm CT/2 am HKT.

The lift times are not set in stone, though, and more often than not, it extends throughout the day, so don’t be surprised if it takes way longer than 2-4 hours.

As for the game update set to be rolled out, here are a few fixes confirmed to be part of it:

  • Various improvements to the Pip-Boy (shortcuts for dropping items, closing the Pip-Boy key bind, scrolling, and sorting)
  • Changing the key bind for the Season’s Menu popup from “CTRL” to “Y”.
  • Emotes, Loot Bags, and Survival Tents being reset upon login.
  • Frequent “Waiting for Response from Server” messaging.

Once the patch notes are out, expect it here on MP1st. We’ll provide a link to it in this article once the changelog is available.

In related news, ex-Bethesda devs said they wouldn’t be surprised if Fallout 5 is outsourced, given the studio is busy with The Elder Scrolls 6.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Version 1.5.3 Now Out via Update 1.500.300

It looks like Sandfall Interactive isn’t done updating Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just yet! Today, March 17, the developers have rolled out versin 1.5.3 on consoles and PC.

Those on PS5, you’ll see the download appear as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 update 1.500.300, and while this doesn’t bring any new content, it does apply various bug fixes and improvements to Photo Mode, gameplay and more.

Read on for the complete list of fixes applied today, and again, don’t expect any new content since the “Thank You” update seems to have been the developers’ swan song in terms of new content, though I’d love to be proven wrong.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Receives an Update to Resolve Issues Connected to Photo Mode, Softlock and More

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 New Update 1.300.100

Update On Sirene Crash

  • After a thorough internal investigation, the crash that occurred after defeating Sirene can no longer be reproduced on our end. If you keep getting this issue, we’d suggest updating your Windows to the latest version. If the issue persists, please submit a report and we’ll continue investigating.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Photo Mode

  • Fixed facial hair of characters being blurred in the Photo Mode on the close distance if Shading was set to Epic.
  • Fixed an issue in Photo mode that prevented the Inner Cone Angle and Outer Cone Angle options from affecting the shape of the preview light source.
  • Photo Mode’s spotlight and point light display has been modified to improve their visibility

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where loading a save while picking up a journal could cause that journal to disappear permanently and become impossible to collect again.

    • Missing journals are now also restored retroactively when loading affected saves.

  • Fixed a soft lock that could occur, during the Chromatic Glissando encounter in Sirene’s Dress level, when a dead expeditioner equipped with Shortcut and Second Chance pictos was swallowed.
  • Fixed an issue on Gestral Beach where using the Rematch option after losing the volleyball minigame could create a blocked save.
  • Fixed a visual issue where characters affected by Inverted would not have the correct colour effect applied to their eyes.

Environment

  • Fixed various environment issues (collisions, misplaced assets, missing or incorrect footsteps SFX) across Verso’s Drafts, the World Map, and other levels.
  • Fixed various lighting issues on Steam Deck in Verso’s Drafts, Endless Tower and Stone Wave Cliffs levels.

Will we see another content patch drop in the near future? I wouldn’t put it past Sandfall. That said, it’s best to temper expectations for now, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see more hotfixes released in the near future.

Expect more games in the Clair Obscur franchise as confirmed by the game’s director.

Helldivers New Content Data Deployed as Update 1.006.100

Overview

Helldivers,
The Galactic War never rests, and neither can you. While you lick the wounds caused by the Automatons on Cyberstan, Super Earth’s other numerous enemies seek opportunities to rob us of our Democracy. It’s time to rally.

On Friday, March 20, 2186, we are mobilizing our divers based on new intelligence gathered by High Command.

This time, the Illuminate have put new pieces on the board. Illuminate Appropriators have made themselves known–shielded, powerful, and arriving in Illuminate Fleets, as well as hordes of Fleshmobs and Voteless.

But that’s not all. New planetary conditions have been detected, and the squids have commanded nature itself to work against us in the form of the Illuminate Exostorms with intense wind and lightning strikes. You will have to destroy their Exospires to calm the storm.

We have already authorized the launch of new tools to help you: the Entrenched Division Premium Warbond should aid in tackling this new mission: flame, gas, or the safe haven of a freshly-dug trench are the new tactics.

As you weather the storms of Illuminate space, never forget: the squids are no match for Managed Democracy.

Patch Highlights

This content will unlock on Friday, March 20.

  • New enemies
  • Illuminate Piloted Constructs
    • VERACITOR: capable of fighting at close quarters.
    • GATEKEEPER: engages targets at ranged distance.

-A new variant of the Watcher:

    • OBTRUDER: inserts itself where it is not wanted.
  • New Sub-Faction: Illuminate Appropriators

Introducing the Illuminate Fleets

  • The Mindless Masses are set on taking over swaths of territory, with fewer Illuminates units deploying vast hordes of voteless and fleshmobs.
  • The Appropriators field only Illuminate units, supported by a variety of constructs—piloted and otherwise.

Illuminate Exostorms

Planets in Illuminate space have been sieged by powerful Illuminate Exostorms, with high-intensity wind and lightning strikes.

  • Planets experiencing Exostorms will be visible on the Galactic Map, but the danger will ramp up when you dive to the planet’s surface.
  • The strength of the storms can vary, with higher class storms presenting greater risk.

In order to contain these planetwide storms, you must complete the new “Destroy Exospire” mission.

New Mission – Destroy Exospire

The powerful storms seem to originate from Illuminate technology in the form of Exospires. Work with your squad to destroy the Exospires and clear the storm looming over the region.

  • Sub-objective: The Exospire is protected by a force shield. The squad will first have to locate the access nodes that connect to the subterranean shield generators, and overload them with an electrical surge of liberating force.
  • Primary Objective: Once the force shield has been deactivated, the squad will enter the Exospire’s chamber and destroy its core by eliminating the Dark Fluid cells that maintain it.

ARC Raiders Version 1.20.0 Released as Update 1.000.029

Embark has released the latest title update for ARC Raiders, and this is for version 1.20.0! This applies new cosmetic items, Il Toro balance changes and more.

Those on consoles, you should see this patch as ARC Raiders update 1.000.029, and this should be a fairly small download across all platforms.

For the latest changes made, read on for the patch notes, raiders.

ARC Raiders Receives New Update on March 17 to Usher in New Cosmetics and Improvements

ARC Raiders update 1.000.026

Here are changes according to Embark:

  • Rawhide Outfit.
  • Two new haircuts.
  • Il Toro Balancing
    • Dev Note: This is an adjustment many of you requested. We have tuned the Il Toro to address its DPS and effectiveness at range, especially when combined with a choke. We’re also making some changes so it performs more like a weapon of its rarity (less versatile at lower upgrade levels and more dependent on upgrades and mods). Most notably, fire-rate and reload time have been reduced, which will make it more important to fully utilize positioning, cover, and timing to defeat your opponents. We will of course continue to keep a close eye on this to see how it plays out in practice, and make additional adjustments when needed. Thank you for your feedback and patience!
    • Pellet Damage reduced from 7.5 to 7
    • Base Fire-Rate reduced from 43 to 38
    • Base Dispersion increased from 4.5 to 6
    • Total Reload Time increased from 4.3s to 5.7s
      • Looping Reload Entry increased from 0.8s to 1s
      • Looping Reload Time increased from 0.5s to 0.7s
    • Damage loss from Falloff increased from 40% to 50%
  • Fixed an issue that would cause persistent audio from destroyed Comets and Fireballs.
  • Fixed an issue where players could get pushed through the wall and stuck on the Dam Controlled Access Zone.
  • Fixed missing collision issues near the east elevator and under pipes on Spaceport.
  • Reduced Energy Clips sell price from 1000 to 200 coins.
    • Dev note: Energy Clips have unintentionally become a very profitable craft, so we are reducing the sell price to make the value profitability in line with other crafts.

Raiders will soon receive the Flashpoint update later this month, and we have another major update inbound in April per the game’s Q1 roadmap.

Once another patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.

Battlefield 6 Update 1.000.015 for Season 2’s Refresh Now Out

DICE has released the second part of Battlefield 6’s Season 2, and this brings Nightfall to players. Those on consoles, you will see this download as Battlefield 6 update 1.000.015, and this should be another hefty download.

For the details on the patch notes and when Season 2: Nightfall will actually be available in your timezone, read on.

Battlefield 6 Season 2: Nightfall should appear as version 1.2.2.0 on the start screen once installed.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 Gets a Refresh via Update 1.000.015

When can you download Battlefield 6 Season 2 Nightfall?

On March 17, at 09:00 UTC/5 am ET/2 am PT/5 pm HKT, players will be able to download the update, with Season 2: Nightfall updates and challenges becoming available.

At 12:00 UTC/8 am ET/5 am PT.8 pm HKT, all Battlefield 6 Season 2: Nightfall content goes live, including new map content, limited-time modes, weapons, vehicles, REDSEC expansion updates, and seasonal events.

New Map: Hagental Base

Plunge beneath the surface and prepare for gripping underground close-quarters combat. Blast through walls or cave in ceilings to flank and ambush enemies lurking in the tunnels. Hagental Base leans heavily on infantry-based squad tactics. Think about ambushes in the corridors and playing to each Class’s strengths as you take control of this newly discovered base.

New Limited-Time Modes

Nightfall brings in a new playlist where squads can compete in a mix of Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, and Domination matches on Hagental Base. All matches will take place with Nightfall’s Darkness modifier active where it cuts most of the Hagental Base’s lights out; your survival during Nightfall depends on your ability to see through the dark, through Night Vision Goggles and using the environment to your benefit.

Gauntlet: Nightfall: Set within Hagental Base, this version of Gauntlet emphasises darkness mechanics and elimination-style progression. Squads compete across intense underground rounds where flashlights and Night Vision Goggles are essential to maintaining control and advancing through the ranks.

Red Bull Supermoto (REDSEC Limited-Time Event): Arriving later in Season 2, this high-speed Gauntlet-style experience focuses on dirt bike racing. Eight players enter, competing across three knockout rounds. By the final stage, only four remain to battle for Red Bull in-game rewards in a fast-paced elimination showdown.

Secret Complex Unearthed at Fort Lyndon

Fort Lyndon expands with the addition of Defense Testing Complex 3, a newly accessible underground sector beneath the main battleground. This secret chemical testing facility introduces a network of tunnels that serve both as traversal routes and high-stakes close-quarters combat zones.

The new sector features higher rarity loot opportunities, encouraging squads to push deeper underground and leverage improved equipment to dominate the darkness.

New Vehicles

M1030-M1 and TM/O 450 Dirt Bikes: Two-seat light transport vehicles built for speed and manoeuvrability. Available in faction-specific variants for NATO and Pax forces, these bikes enable rapid repositioning, flanking manoeuvres, and swift escapes across both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC environments.

New Weapons

CZ3A1: A high rate-of-fire SMG designed for aggressive close-quarters engagements. Ideal for fast pushes and confined firefights.

vz. 61: A fully automatic sidearm with a rapid fire rate, best suited for extremely short-range combat scenarios where quick reaction speed is critical.

Battlefield 6 Free Trial

From March 17-24, Battlefield 6 will be free* for all players.

Wage war across the rocky terrain of Contaminated or descend into the underground corridors of Hagental Base. Choose from four maps and six available modes, including large-scale Conquest battles and Nightfall-enabled experiences in Domination and Team Deathmatch.

PS4 Update 13.50 Released on March 17

While the PS5 got a significant system update today, Sony hasn’t forgotten its older brother and has released PS4 update 13.50 on March 17 as well.

As one might expect, given the console’s advanced age, new features are few and far between for the PS4. Having said that, it is still getting consistent firmware support from Sony.

Read on for what’s new for PS4 gamers today.

PS4 System Update on March 17 Released the Same Time as PS5’s PSSR Enhancement

Sony’s official changelog has this:

  • We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens.

That’s about it. Bear in mind that, more often than not, these security updates are rolled out to combat homebrew access and/or piracy, and this is usually not detailed by Sony.

In other PlayStation news, the Mega March promotion is still ongoing, with a fair number of AAA titles discounted significantly, including PS4 games.

For the complete patch notes on today’s PS5 update, check it out here alongside with info on bow to turn on the PSSR enhancement.

Death Stranding 2 Upcoming Major Update Adds New Difficulty Mode, Live-Action Cutscenes, Features and Will Be Rolled Out Alongside PC Release

While Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a self-contained game that doesn’t feature live-service elements, that isn’t stopping Hideo Kojima from supporting it post-launch.

With Death Stranding 2 set to release on PC this March 19, Kojima Productions will also release a game update for the PS5 version, and it’s set to deliver a host of new features and content all for free.

Expect this PS5 game update to be released the same time the PC version is made available worldwide.

Death Stranding 2 PS5 Upcoming Update Adds New Features and Content

Hideo Kojima recently went on Japanese radio show Spacewalk and revealed a host of new features set to be released for Death Stranding 2’s PS5 version as a free game update.

Chief among the new additions include (thanks, Okami):

  • “To the Wilder” difficulty mode, whcih is much harder
  • Replayable boss fights (including Neil)
  • New live-action cutscenes that were originally cut due to capacity limits
  • New footage added and this includes new nightmares experienced by Sam
  • Added the Chiral Cat to Sam’s private room (Kojima commented how he has been asking KojiPro staff to add this the past few years they never did it).
  • 21:9 ultrawide mode added to PS5 version
  • New items
  • Adjustments are being implemented based on gameplay data from players around the world

There are bound to be gameplay bug fixes included as well, though nothing has been shared about that. Chances are, we’ll receive the complete patch notes once the update is live later this week, and once it’s out, expect it here on MP1st.

Speaking of updates, the latest one released for the game was four months ago, and it finally fixed a bug that allowed players to Platinum the title.

Once the patch is released, we’ll have it up ASAP, so keep an eye out for that.

– Losing again from that state will decrease rank points and trigger demotion.

The rank point modification system introduced in Ver.2.02.00—

When matchmaking with characters ranked “God of Destruction (100th Dan)” or higher, rank differences within ±1 will be treated as the same rank to expand the matchmaking range.

Example:
If matchmaking is performed with “God of Destruction I (101st Dan)” under the “Same Rank” restriction, matchmaking will include:
– God of Destruction (100th Dan)
– God of Destruction I (101st Dan)
– God of Destruction II (102nd Dan)

Tekken 8 update 2.009.001

Character Move Behavior Fixes and Balance Adjustments

Based on TEKKEN 8’s core gameplay philosophy and the “Refined Balance” policy, the following balance adjustments have been made:

① Adjustments that respect each character’s concept, strengths, and weaknesses, while preventing excessive performance gaps between characters.

In Ver.3.00.00, the “strengths,” “weaknesses,” and “distinct advantages” of every character were reviewed.
Adjustments were made with the goal of creating a battle experience in which each character’s individuality can be felt more clearly within neutral interactions and mind-games.

② Re-evaluation of risk and reward across game systems and character-unique mechanics.

During the Season 2 updates, gradual revisions were made to address excessive frame advantage situations and disproportionately high reward.
This direction has been continued in Ver.3.00.00, with adjustments focused particularly on the Heat system and character-specific powered‑up states (such as Claudio’s Starburst).

(1) Revision of the relationship between unique powered‑up states and the Heat system
It was changed so that when Heat ends, character-specific powered‑up states are also removed at the same time.
As a result, situations in which powered‑up states could be maintained for an extended duration by using Heat as the starting point have been reduced.

(2) Revision of wall splat properties caused by Heat Smash
For characters whose Heat Smash previously triggered wall splat, the behavior was unified so that wall splat is no longer triggered by Heat Smash.
As a result, situations in which Heat Smash would lead to excessively advantageous post‑wall scenarios have been reduced.

③ Improvements to air combos
In Ver.3.00.00, the issue where air combos became excessively long when a Heat Engager was landed as a grounded hit and then followed by Heat Dash was addressed.
The previous system—where the opponent’s airborne distance was reduced under these conditions—was removed, and the behavior was adjusted to match that of standard air combos.

Additionally, the damage scaling for combos under these conditions was changed from the previous “60%” to “70%”, aiming to strike a balance between combo length and reward.

Take a look at each character change made in today’s patch via the gallery:

While we’re not expecting another major update this month, there is a chance Bandai Namco releases a smaller one aimed at fixing bugs and whatnot.

If we get another update, expect it here on MP1st.

In other Bandai Namco news, the publisher seems to be developing a new fighting game if evidence is to be believed.

Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s the cheapest for that kind of build, though it does come with going for pre-builts over building it yourself. So it’s a pretty “fair” deal if you aren’t looking to get your hands dirty.

So with the Firefly collection now finally out, who are you hoping gets a collaboration next with HYTE from Honkai: Star Rail?

Ex-Bethesda Devs ‘Wouldn’t Be Surprised’ if Fallout 5 Is Outsourced as Bethesda Has Its ‘Hands Full’ With The Elder Scrolls VI

The Fallout franchise has grown significantly in recent years. The success of the Fallout TV show has brought many new fans to the series, including people who were not familiar with the video games before. Because of this new interest, Microsoft and Bethesda may want to continue expanding the Fallout series.

Right now, Bethesda is mainly working on The Elder Scrolls VI. Todd Howard has said before that Fallout 5 will likely arrive many years later, after the new Elder Scrolls game is released. However, some people believe the company could start work on Fallout 5 earlier by letting another studio handle the early stages of development.

Fallout 5 Could Be Handled by Another Studio

Fallout 5 studio

This idea was discussed by four former Bethesda developers during a conversation with the Kiwi Talkz YouTube channel. The participants included Bruce Nesmith, former design director; Jonah Lobe, former character artist; Jeremy Bryant, former animator; and Nate Purkeypile, former world art designer.

One of the most interesting comments came from Jonah Lobe, who worked on creature designs in the Fallout series. He shared a theory about how Bethesda might handle the project:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bethesda gave Fallout 5 to a different production studio because I think that um they’re doing more and more of that already. They’re bigger and bigger than ever. I feel like Elder Scrolls 6 the expectations are like beyond like you know above the screen here and so like they really have their hands full with that

Bethesda has used external studios before. For example, the studio Virtuos worked on the development of Oblivion Remastered. Similar partnerships could also happen with possible new versions of Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas.

Still, Todd Howard may prefer to keep a major project like Fallout 5 within Bethesda Game Studios. In the meantime, remastered versions of older Fallout titles could help keep fans interested while the company continues working on The Elder Scrolls VI.
