Beautiful Light PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Versions to Be Released If PC Version is Successful Enough

There’s a new extraction shooter incoming, and based on what we’ve played so far, it’s not only looking fantastic, but shaping up quite nicely as well. I’m referring to Deep Worlds’ Beautiful Light. While the game is confirmed for PC, there is a chance of a Beautiful Light PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, provided the PC version does well.

This was confirmed to MP1st by Eric ‘Aherys’ Rajot, the CEO of Deep Worlds in an exclusive interview.

Q: Do you plan to release Beautiful Light for platforms other than PC?

A: Yes, if Beautiful Light is successful on PC, we plan to release it on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

For those unaware, Rajot was a former pro Rainbow Six Siege player, and started development of Beautiful Light alone five years ago. Since then, the team has grown to 15 people, and with Rajot’s Siege background, the game should be in good hands.

What Is Beautiful Light About?

Here’s what you can expect from it (via Steam):

Step into the gritty world of Beautiful Light, an intense PvPvP extraction shooter developed by an independent studio, Deep Worlds. Grow as a member of the Quick Reaction Force or invade other players’ raids as a monstrous anomaly. With stunning visuals, Beautiful Light puts a strong emphasis on immersion, horror, and tactical gameplay. The game is designed to push players to their limits.

Stay tuned to our full Beautiful Light interview hitting the site very soon.

Cancelled Call of Duty Game “NX1” Gameplay Footage, Black Ops 4 “War” Mode” Surface

While we’re expecting details from this year’s Call of Duty game to be leaked like how it is every year, it seems something else about the franchise has leaked, and this time, it’s a cancelled Call of Duty game titled “NX1” which was in development at Neversoft.

Check the two videos out, with one featuring the menus, what seems to be single-player and another video featuring multiplayer. It seems the footage originated from someone who posted an Xbox 360 on craigslist with the game code installed in its HDD.

https://twitter.com/catgurlfriend/status/1751490269005140068?t=2g8_SoP4Fk4HY6o-qh04Ew&s=19

It’s said that NX1 was in development back in 2010, which is why it resembles the original Modern Warfare 2 and MW3. The game was canned in favor of Call of Duty: Ghosts, and some of the devs even weighed in on the footage, thus confirming that this is indeed legit.

In addition to that, leaked footage of Black Ops 4’s “War” mode has surfaced as well.

Call of Duty: Ghosts was released in 2013 to mixed reception, and didn’t have a proper sequel. Black Ops 4 was released in 2018, and was originally planned to be a hero shooter. While that ideas was scrapped in favor of a more traditional Call of Duty multiplayer experience, the game did lack a full-fledged single-player campaign, and the franchise’s first battle royale mode, Blackout.

While Treyarch is still actively making Call of Duty games, and is rumored to be developing this year’s entry with a title of “Black Ops Gulf War” and is set in the 90’s. As for Neversoft, the studio was officially shutdown in 2014 by Activision, and was merged with Infinity Ward.

Where Are the Leaks Coming From?

There’s no definite answer to this question, but Microsoft did recently layoff nearly 2,000 employees from Activision Blizzard and Xbox. The layoffs impacted several studios, including those working on Call of Duty.

Understandably, many of those laid off have taken to social media to express their disappointment in the company’s decision.

It’s not uncommon for massive layoffs to also bring to light some cancelled projects, though that depends on NDA signage and such.

These leaks do come at a rather suspicious time though, so take that as you will.

Payday 3 Drops Below 100 Players on Steam Just 4 Months After Release

Released just this September 21, 2023, it seems Payday 3 is having a rough time keeping its player base engaged amid its tumultuous launch, as the shooter has dipped below 100 players on Steam a mere four months after it released.

The numbers come from the reliable Steam Charts, which lists the game as only having 98 players, though it eventually bounced back (image via IceTacos)

Right now this January 27, Steam Charts show the game as having 677 players in the last 40 minutes, with a 24-hour peak of the same value. Note that this is only for Steam, so we don’t know whether the game has more or fewer players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Regardless of that though, it’s a far cry from the game’s 69,000 peak it had when the game’s first month of release. However, Payday 3’s super rocky launch which resulted in days of server issues didn’t help the game, and add in the complaints from the community not being addressed and lack of content, it’s not really surprising to see its player base dwindle this quick.

Why Is Payday 3 Bleeding Players?

There are several factors as to why Payday 3 isn’t fairing, as well as past entries. From it’s rocky, always online launch, bugs and technical issues, to communication and players not knowing what’s coming next in terms of content. You can take your pick, and though Starbreeze has gotten better on the communication side, it seems that damage has been done.

Whether they can turn things around remains to be seen, but one thing is certain, they’ll need to act fast or risk losing the remaining player base. With this year being very busy with multiplayer releases, some in the extraction genre, Starbreeze has their work cutout for them.

Will the game recover? If Starbreeze hopes to do that, they need to address the community concerns, and maybe lay out a proper roadmap of content outside of the announced DLC. It’d be wise to act on it fast, as the remaining players might jump ship. Don’t forget, there is another heist game incoming, and this one is from the creator of the Payday franchise, even.

Diablo IV Update 1.031 Pushed Out for Version 1.3.0a, Patch Notes Listed

Blizzard Entertainment has pushed out Diablo IV update 1.031 on last-gen, current-gen platforms and PC, and this is for patch version 1.031. This is following the Season of Construct patch alongside server-side hotfixes to the game.

Update (Feb. 1): For the version 1.3.1 patch notes released today, head on over here.

Diablo IV Update 1.031 Patch Notes | Diablo IV New Update Patch Notes:

GAME UPDATES

Echo of Malphas

Developer’s Note: We have noticed players tended to use their Pearls of Warding for fighting Echo of Malphas instead of on Zoltun’s Warding. We are adding in Igneous Cores—a new item used solely to summon Malphas instead of Pearls—so players don’t have to choose between extra protection in the Vaults or fighting the boss. Additionally, we have made the fight against Malphas more difficult but also increased the rewards it provides.

  • Echo of Malphas has had their Level raised from 85 to 100.
  • The Health pool of Echo of Malphas has been increased by 30%.
  • A new item—Igneous Cores—now exists for the purpose of accessing the Uber Vault and Echo of Malphas. This item will replace the usage of Pearls of Warding in providing access.
    • Igneous Cores have a chance to drop from Vault Heralds and are guaranteed to drop from Son of Malphas in World Tier IV.
  • Loot Updates
    • The drop rate of Unique Stones from Malphas increased from .25% to .5%.
    • Unique Stones now have a 3% chance of dropping from the chest after the boss.
    • Defeating Echo of Malphas will now reward more Legendary items. Additionally, Item Level 925 items will drop more often.

The Seneschal

Developer’s Note: We’ve received feedback that the Seneschal does not feel powerful. The Seneschal becomes more powerful as it reaches max level, but we have noticed that many players have not had the chance to level up their Seneschal enough to experience this. We are introducing multiple changes to ensure players have more sources to earn Governing and Tuning Stones from so they can level up their Seneschal and unlock their new companion’s full potential.

  • Crafting a Governing or Tuning Stone will now always cost 200 Shattered Stone and 20 Iron Chunks regardless of level.
  • Finding a max level Governing or Tuning Stone will now grant 150 –200 Shattered Stone.
  • Governing and Tuning stones can now be acquired as rewards for completing Whispers.
  • Son of Malphas now always drops 2-3 Governing and Tuning Stones.
  • Stones awarded from Seneschal Stone Caches has been increased from 1 to 2 stones.
  • Experience requirements for Governing and Tuning Stones have been reduced so they can be ranked up more naturally with your leveling experience.

Vaults and Arcane Tremors

We have made multiple quality-of-life changes to the player experience in the Vaults and Arcane Tremors.

  • Consuming a Pearl of Warding at a Statue of Zoltun Kulle now grants 10 stacks of Zoltun’s Warding, instead of 3.
  • The max stacks of Zoltun’s Warding has been increased from 300 to 999.
  • The grace period for losing stacks of Zoltun’s Warding when being hit by multiple traps at once has been increased from 1 second to 1.5 seconds. (Ex: If 3 darts hit you in the span of 1.5 seconds, you’ll only lose 1 stack instead of 3).
  • Heralds of Malphas now guaranteed a Legendary item drop starting at Level 26, with a 15% chance to drop a second Legendary item.
  • Knockback has been removed from all Obelisk Hazards.
  • Chests will now appear after completing a Vault’s ending encounter. These new chests will drop a guaranteed Legendary item starting from level 26+, with a 35% chance to drop another Legendary item.
  • The projectile speed from Elemental Dart hazards has been reduced by 20%.
  • The hitbox for floor-based Elemental Grate and Spike hazards have been reduced by roughly 15%.
  • The spout hitbox for Elemental Pillars has been reduced by roughly 15%.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the Gatehall would not display on the map for players on PlayStation.
  • Fixed an issue where the Brazier could not be interacted with in certain circumstances during the Drums of the Vault quest.
  • Fixed an issue where the Beckoning Thunder Horse cosmetic was invisible for Druid players.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage effect and the visual effect were not in sync for floor traps in Vaults.
  • Various stability and performance improvements.

Given the reception to Season 3, don’t be surprised to see another patch drop to adjust the game even further.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Loot, Seasons, HUD Options, and More Detailed

Rocksteady held a massive Q&A session on Discord for their upcoming new title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. They were asked plenty of questions and provided plenty of answers, and now we have a better idea of how things work in-game, as details behind the Suicide Squad game’s loot, seasons, HUD options, episodes, and so much more have been revealed.

Below you’ll find a summary of some of the biggest answers provided during their Q&A.

Campaign Replay, Difficulty Levels, New Game Plus, Solo Play, and Matchmaking

First up on the discussion is the campaign! For those wondering, yes, you can play the entire campaign solo, something Rocksteady previously confirmed. But what’s new is that even after you beat the campaign, you can replay it again (in any order) without starting over via mission select.

As for the difficulty levels, new players can pick from the traditional levels of easy, medium, and hard, with five more difficulties above hard unlocking once you beat the game.

Rocksteady mentions this being like New Game Plus since the new difficulties will be available for every mission, including the campaign. There’s an incentive to play through them, too, as the new difficulties bring new rewards.

You can even solo the end-game content if you want to.

But maybe you aren’t a lone wolf player and want to play with friends; what kind of matchmaking systems are in place? Here’s what Rocksteady had to share.

  • Private games are invite only. If you want to play solo or have more control over who can join your Squad, this is the one for you. The only players that can join you here are the ones you decide to invite. When you play solo and not on a server, the game is paused while you’re in menus.
  • Open to Friends is an online session where anyone on your Friends list can join your Squad without first receiving an invite.
  • Public is an online session where you matchmake into a Squad with other players who are at, or slightly before, your current Story progress.

An additional option dubbed “Matchmaking themes” was also revealed, letting players matchmake with others playing similar content. There are mastery levels to this, which unlock more themes.

Seasons Structures And Episodes Explained

It’s been known for some time that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would bring new story elements, characters, levels, and much more, but what many were wondering is how they’ll be structured in terms of releases and how long players will need to wait until the next season starts. According to Rocksteady, players should expect seasons to last roughly three months. Here’s a bit on how they’re structured.

  • Each season will be themed around a new playable character.
  • Each season adds a new Elseworld.
  • Each season is divided into two episodes, each lasting 6 weeks.
  • Each episode will have new gear, missions, and boss fights.

This won’t cost players additional money outside of the battle passes. The nice thing is that even when a season is over, you can go back and play them, including the episodes.

I suppose the next question you’re wondering is, what are episodes?

  • They’re drops within the Seasons that offer unique experiences.
  • Episodes will last about six weeks before the next one starts. Two in each season.
  • They feature new unique Infamy Sets, Notorious items and Legendary items, gameplay modifiers, and mutators, and new missions across Metropolis and the new Elseworld, including new Incursion missions, a Mayhem mission, and a new Boss encounter.
  • Brainiac will evolve during each episode, countering your builds and sending stronger forces after you.

You could almost view them as additional season updates, one that is available at the start, with the other available midway through the season.

Too Much on The HUD? Well, You Can Turn Most of It Off

One of the biggest criticisms around Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is that the HUD appeared to be super cluttered in some of the recent gameplay videos. Luckily, Rocksteady confirmed that the HUD could be turned off, with a good amount of options for players to toggle on and off. And what might these options be? Well, have a check.

  • HUD
  • Mini-map
  • Aiming Reticle
  • Larger Persistent Center Dot
  • Enemy Health Bars
  • Enemy Health Bar Prompts
  • Damage Number
  • Player Markers
  • Player Names
  • Incoming Damage Indicators
  • Dynamic Tutorials
  • Combat Flair Challenges
  • Fullscreen Effects
  • Health/Shield Effects

You can expect more HUD options to drop during and after Episode 1, Season 1.

  • Health/Shield Bars
  • XP Bar
  • Mission Objectives
  • D-Pad Input prompts
  • Traversal Attack, Suicide Strike and Squad Ultimate abilities
  • HUD Input prompts
  • Traversal Bars

No Gear Levels, No Worries. This Is How Loot Works In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

It may be a looter shooter, but Rocksteady is taking a different approach to gear progression. Rather than use gear levels, gear is categorized into levels: uncommon, rare, and epic. It is a traditional looter system, but this is where things get a little crazier.

Each gear has an augmented slot, with the amount available being based on the rarity. Regardless of that, you can slot any rarity of augmentation into that slot. The philosophy behind this is that Rocksteady wants you to get loot that feels good while also having the power to “perfect a gear piece” to your liking. There are some systems that players can use to modify loot that Rocksteady detailed.

  • Crafting is what you would expect, and all loot you earn through the Story are also added as Crafting recipes so you can easily craft them if you happen to get rid of an item you earned early in the game.
  • Overhaul rerolls all the augments on a piece of loot, which gives you a way to reroll the item without worrying about having to do sacrifices to the loot gods to try and get that piece of loot again.
  • Modification let’s you reroll any augment on an item, and you get to pick from three new random augments (or keep the one you have). Once you’ve rerolled that augment you’re locked into just being able to reroll that augment (i.e. if you reroll an Uncommon augment on item, you’re then locked into only being able to reroll the Uncommon augment for another Uncommon augment).
  • T.O.T.E.S. let’s you reroll an augment, but it let’s you pick the augment you want to roll from a list of possible augments. So where Modification presents you with a list of random augments with random stat ranges, T.O.T.E.S. let’s you straight up pick the augment you want to roll and then you get to pick from a list of three permutations of that augment.
  • Eliting is insanely powerful because this unlocks the ability to Modify or T.O.T.E.S. not just one augment but ALL augments on an item. In short, Eliting gives you the control to perfect the augments of an item to suit your build and playstyle.
  • Supercharging lets you upgrade the Afflictions on an item to make its effect last even longer on enemies.
  • Firearm Upgrades – Any Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary firearm levels up when you use it, and you earn points that can be applied to five different categories of firearm attributes: Accuracy, Stability, Zoom, Reload Speed and Mag Size. Each of these attributes can be upgraded up to three times. The maximum points available on a firearm depends on the rarity, where a Legendary firearm can get up to 15 levels which makes it possible to maximise all the attributes on that firearm if you use it for long enough.

Rocksteady didn’t specify if loot was boss/mission specific, but based on their answer, it sounds like it won’t be since every gear piece should be viable. Builds, and how you can synergize them, will play an important role.

Do You Need a PS + or Xbox Game Pass Subscription to Play?

Despite being an always-online title (for now), you DO NOT need a PS + or Xbox Game Pass subscription if you are planning on playing solo. However, if you plan on playing with friends or random, you will need a subscription. PC players play free, regardless.

There were other answers they provided during their Q&A on Discord, but for the most, these were what we thought were the most significant questions.

Quite a lot of new information here, and it seems like Rocksteady has a solid plan for the game. Whether that’ll be enough for it to survive in the long run is anyone’s guess, but for those looking forward to it, some of these new details should be pretty exciting.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will make its way out this Feb. 2 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with early access starting Jan. 30.

Black Desert Scholar Class Review – Hammers and Alchemy

Years go by and Black Desert is still going strong, with a robust player base and a development team that keeps on releasing new content. From new regions to classes, there’s a regular delivery of free content to grab and explore, and a nearly infinite number of hours of gameplay. One of the latest additions is a new class, the Scholar, a melee powerhouse that blends alchemy with the strength of two robust hammers. Is this a great addition to the huge Black Desert roster and worth exploring?

Hammer Time

First off, a quick reminder to any player out there wondering if Black Desert is an MMORPG worth trying. The answer varies depending on what they are looking for, but it’s a resounding yes if you are searching for an extremely rich game, beautiful at that, one that has so many things to do, so many systems to care for that it will be weeks, easily months before you feel like you are getting somewhere. It’s deep, often labeled as too complex, progress can be slow, and so on and so forth. This is a game that requires a fully-committed mindset and eventually rewards you for it.

Black Desert Scholar Class Review

That being said, let’s move on to a brief analysis of the new class. The Scholar is designed as female character, something that some players still consider one of the shortcomings of Black Desert, although this is minimized by the constant output of counterparts that address this situation. Keeping up with the traditionally superb art style, this class marries sexy and intelligent with a costume that highlights the golden tonalities, including the flowing hair.

Naturally, you can customize the class’ appearance from scratch using one of the best character creation systems available, or pick one of the superb fan-made designs for the Scholar.

But what interests us the most here is how the Scholar behaves in combat – after all, within the more than two dozen class choices, how appealing is this one for a new player? The answer, once again, depends on the style that you are going for. Being a melee fighter, it requires getting up close to the enemies, and you know how dangerous this can be in case of facing a powerful ranged class such as the Archer or the Sage.

Black Desert Scholar Class Review

Considering the melee nature, hammer strikes will be your basic attacks, with some throws worthy of Thor, but it gets a lot more interesting and versatile as you unlock new skills. It’s not all about the hammers either, with some impressive drop kick moves to make a wrestler jealous, and the blink skill is really nice to use, although it ends up lacking because you can’t do a forward dash this way. Despite showcasing an encouraging AoE damage versatility, some players might want a bigger range and faster hit chaining, as Black Desert is extremely focused on PvE grind and the decidedly wonderful animations do look a bit on the slow side.

The Scholar Awakening adds a sledgehammer into the mix, ramping up on damage and the crunch sound effects – there’s an undeniable sense of weight and power to the way the weapon flows. With some skills where the class leaps and bounds for a good distance, it all feels like there’s extreme margin for combos and great chaining, but the real worth of the Scholar will be judged by the experts, veterans of Black Desert. How it behaves on PvP, how it can get the upper hand on other melee classes, and the like. Some of the skills can feel somewhat inaccurate to use, hard to pinpoint where the hit will land, and mobility is a bit on the slower side of the spectrum, making this a class that isn’t instantly accessible for novice players.

In terms of aesthetics, it’s gorgeous as ever, with some incredible animations and smooth combos, very pleasant to watch. Sometimes it can get too flashy for comfort, so it’s recommended to check the settings and dial down things like motion blur to make it more bearable, but that’s something that could be said of most classes.

One For the Purists

Black Desert Scholar Class Review

The Scholar class is another significant addition to Black Desert, and one that isn’t going to be consensual. There’s no denying the visual mastery for every class, with some remarkable skill animations, but the crux of the matter here is how it plays, and that is entirely up to what players can make of it. The Scholar doesn’t feel like it’s suited to novice players, due to its small AoE range and somewhat bulky and slow movement, but eventually the more skilled players may find the sweet spot to use it for PvE grind and PvP combat. As always, it’s a neat addition to a huge MMORPG that is going strong after many years, with a very healthy player base, and the next content expansion is already around the corner, including the new Swordsman class, proof that we can’t really complain about lack of options.

Score: 7.5/10

Pros:

  • Neat gravity blinks and encourages chaining moves
  • Visually impressive as is usually the case

Cons:

  • Somewhat slow and with a small AoE range
  • Not the best class for the grind

Report: Nintendo Switch 2 Release Likely This Year, Says Analyst; Will Feature LCD Screen

A new report from Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase claims that the Nintendo Switch 2 release will likely happen later this year. This launch will significantly increase the shipment number of “amusement displays”, or LCD screens, in 2024, according to Hayase’s research.

The report was shared by BNN Bloomberg, who stated that Hayase surmised that a new Nintendo console is set to launch with an 8-inch LCD screen later this year. This information comes from his own work as a Research Manager for displays at Omdia. The production of these Nintendo consoles will reportedly double the overall shipments of amusement displays this year.

Previously, Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser had commented on the company’s efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the next generation. He referred to a console’s “last year” of a life cycle while discussing how Nintendo is designing its next console with backward compatibility in mind. This seemed like a pretty clear indication that the Nintendo Switch was approaching its final year, a feeling which has been further cemented by Hayase’s findings.

The Nintendo Switch turns 7 years old this year. It’s lived a long and full life. It really feels like the time for Nintendo to send the Switch to greener pastures and usher in the next generation. We’re most curious to see whether the next console will retain the Switch’s portability and how it might improve on the console in performance, graphic capabilities, and overall ease-of-use.

To stay up to date on Nintendo’s next big console, stay tuned in to us here at MP1st.

Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-Exclusive Content to Be Available on All Platforms This Summer Along With New Updates

When Hogwarts Legacy was released last year, it housed a few pieces of content that were exclusive to the platform thanks to a marketing deal between Sony and WB Games. Well, that’s about to end, as the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms (read: PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch) sometime this “summer.”

This was revealed by the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter/X account, where it was also mentioned that “additional updates” (read: patches) are also on the way.

As we near the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game. Stay tuned in the coming months for more details on what’s coming to Hogwarts Legacy this year.

What Are the PlayStation-Exclusive Hogwarts Legacy Content?

PlayStation gamers had exclusive access to the Haunted Hogsmeade quest along with a bunch of cosmetics and more.

Exclusive Haunted Hogsmeade Quest

Cassandra Mason has a shop to sell you in Hogsmeade, but all is not as it seems in this mysterious, run-down establishment. What sinister secrets lie beneath Madam Mason’s shop and why is she so keen to sell it? The answers to these questions can only be found in the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest exclusively available on PlayStation platforms.

Bonus: Hogsmeade Shop

Overcoming the challenges of the Haunted Hogsmeade Quest will reward you with a shop of your own where you can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else.

Bonus: Shopkeeper Cosmetic Set

Upon completion of the Sony exclusive Haunted Hogsmeade Quest, players will receive an attractive ensemble of tan and deep teal with panache and charm, perfect for the stylish shopkeeper and the entrepreneurial Hogwarts student.

Pre-order bonus: Felix Felicis Potion Recipe

If you pre-order Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll be able to access the recipe for Felix Felicis, also known as “liquid luck.” Use this potion to reveal gear chests on the mini-map for one in-game day, resulting in a particularly rewarding journey as you explore Hogwarts and the surrounding areas.

As you can see, it’s more than just your standard cosmetic items. Once we know more, we’ll let our readers know. Could we be getting a new story-related quest in the future? Let’s hope so, especially given the game was the top-selling video game of 2023 even beating Call of Duty.

If you still haven’t played the game, go read our review where we state, “I’ve dreamt about an open-world Harry Potter game that has everything you’d expect out of a Harry Potter game, and Avalanche has finally delivered on that dream. The attention to detail that has gone into this game, the love and care, and the pure dedication of the team. It all goes unnoticed.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Battle Pass Explained; Will Be Cosmetics Only

Being an online focused looter shooter, it should come as no surprise that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature a Battle Pass. But one question that many have been wondering is how it will work? Well, Rocksteady Studios has finally answered, detailing what players can expect from the Suicide Squad game Battle Pass and how it will work, even when the season is over.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Battle Pass – What’s Included and How Does It Work?

In a Q&A hosted on the official Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Discord channel, Rocksteady revealed how the battle pass system works in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We’ve summarized it in a shorter format, but if you want to read the full answer you can do so below.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Battle Pass

  • A new one will be available every season.
  • Battle passes won’t be locked to a season, meaning they won’t disappear after a season ends, and players can go back to old ones whenever.
  • It will be cosmetics only (skins, emotes, banners, and swatches), with some currency, and feature 75 tiers.

For the most part, it’s your standard Battle Pass aside from the fact that you’ll be able to play any of the passes at any time, regardless of season. That’s a wise choice to make, something we’ve seen in other titles, such as Halo Infinite.

Darius Sadeghian, Studio Director

We received a lot of questions about the Battle Pass and there’s a lot to cover here, so I’ll try to break it all down.

The Battle Pass in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be cosmetics-only, have both a Premium and free track, and a new Battle Pass will be released with each Season. The first Battle Pass will be released with the launch of Season 1, a few weeks after the game’s initial release.

There will be 75 tiers to complete in Season 1’s Battle Pass and included within will be Outfits, Emotes, Banners, Swatches and some premium currency. This can be used to purchase cosmetic items in the store or go towards purchasing future Premium Battle Passes.

We’re also happy to announce that you will be able to go back and play previous Battle Passes after a Season ends. We believe that our team has created some of the best looking cosmetic items ever, and we want those to be available for our players to enjoy without fear that they’ll miss out on anything.

And as a reminder each Season will have a new playable character, a new Elseworld to explore, LOADS of new gear, new missions to play and more all for free! The Premium Battle Pass is an optional extra for those who want to look extra fly while kicking some Brainiac butt. And keep in mind, all purchasable items are completely optional and do not affect gameplay in any way.

Based on what’s been revealed, it seems like your standard Battle Pass, which is a good thing. I mean, no one wants a pay-to-win scenario from happening, right? Even if it is PvE.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches on January 30 for early access players, and will be available worldwide on February 2. You can read on for the launch timings here.

  • A Look Ahead for the Year of the Dragon Event
  • Squad Spectator Modifier for Battlefield™ Portal that allows for “One Life” or “Tactical Squad” Custom Experiences.
  • Personal Player Color Identifier Improvements

YEAR OF THE DRAGON EVENT!

Year of the Dragon is almost upon us,

To celebrate this occasion, all players will be tasked with earning ribbons in order to unlock the “Harmonic Balance” Weapon Skin for the Super 500 as seen above. You’ll also be able to earn the “Curious Spirit” Weapon Charm as well as an additional XP Boost and Tier Skip reward to help you kickstart the year.

Some of these items are also a part of a new Store Bundle arriving with this event. Earnable items that are successfully unlocked also reduce the overall cost of this Store Bundle.

THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON EVENT BEGINS ON FEBRUARY 6TH!

CHANGELOG

Squad Spectator Modifier for Battlefield Portal

You will now have the ability to enable Squad Spectating within Battlefield Portal Custom Experiences. This will allow you to spectate your Squad Mates after dying before entering the deploy screen once more to redeploy similar to the experience within Hazard Zone.

As part of this update we will also be introducing the ability to disable the button on this Spectator screen which will prevent you from redeploying, allowing for Custom Experiences to feature “One-Life” or “Tactical Squad” modes while still allowing for spectating your immediate Squad.

AI, Soldier and General Improvements

  • Players will now see a Crossplay Status Indicator within the Main Menu if they currently have Crossplay as OFF.
  • We have extended the Personal Player color functionality to include more HUD Elements. You can set your own color, which will be visible to yourself, within the Options > HUD section.

Gadgets & Specialists

  • Fixed an issue where the head hitbox of a player mounted on Crawford’s Vulcan could become misaligned.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a player to not see a successful SOFLAM lock-on against vehicles.
  • The Penguins have applied extra glue to the C5 so they should now stick to vehicles with greater efficiency.
  • The APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel should no longer intercept Smoke Grenades.
  • Fixed an issue where if both an enemy and friendly fired Tracer Darts at the same vehicles, the “Target Acquired” prompt would sometimes be missing.
  • Fixed the “Target Acquired” prompt to sometimes be shown on destroyed vehicles.
  • Fixed the SG-36 Sentry Gun sometimes targeting destroyed vehicles.

Battlefield Portal

  • Added math blocks for common used tasks that we noticed players were performing a lot within Custom Experiences. There are now math blocks for the following items.
  • DegreesToRadians – Takes in an angle in degrees and outputs the same angle but expressed in radians
  • RadiansToDegrees – Takes in an angle in radians and outputs the same angle but expressed in degrees
  • Ceiling – Takes in a decimal number and outputs the value rounded upwards. i.e. 1.4 would be rounded up to 2.
  • Floor – Takes in a decimal number and outputs the value rounded downwards. i.e. 1.6 would be rounded down to 1.
  • Pi – Constant block that outputs the value of Pi for use in calculating circumferences and areas of a circle.

Weapons

  • Fixed an issue that could cause empty magazines in the SVK to still contain bullets visually.
  • Fixed an issue where the carry handle of the VHX-D3 sometimes didn’t render correctly.
  • Fixed texturing issues on the P90 magazine.
  • Minor fixes to stats of certain low-magnification sights on the Collection Screen.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in some high recoil, fast-firing weapons from gaining vertical recoil after the angle exceeded a certain value.
  • Fixed a discrepancy between the Collection Screen and ammo count ingame for the ACW-R extended magazine.
  • Fixed a clipping issue when using the PSO-1 Scope on the SCAR-H.
  • Corrected the pros and cons of the High-Power Magazine on the G428 in the Collection Screen.
  • Corrected the Rate of Fire stat for the AC-42 in the Collection Screen

  • The EBAA Wildcat now has access to Air Radar. The range of this can be altered via Air Radar settings within the options menu.
  • EMKV90-TOR Canister Coax can no longer be reloaded manually.
  • Fixed issues where the replenish icon and weapon replenishment were not correctly matched on Battlefield Portal vehicles.
  • Regular body damage to the MD540 Nightbird will no longer result in systemic failure. Players should target the avionics of the aircraft in order to disable it.
  • Fixed an issue where air vehicles would not take damage when colliding with skyscrapers on Hourglass.
  • Reduced the magnet effect that some helicopters may encounter while being close to the ground.

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who randomly appears in a Public Sector on one of the Worlds. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Legendary Shards in exchange for them.

TL;DR: He’s the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it’s coal.

When does Xûr visit?

Xûr visits every Friday at 17:00 UTC and departs at Weekly Reset (Tuesday 17:00 UTC). If you would like to see all the live conversions of Time Zones, please follow this link here.

Palworld Concurrent Players Surpasses 2 Million Milestone On Steam

Palworld concurrent players have surpassed the two million milestone on Steam! It didn’t take long for the open-world action-adventure survival game to reach 2 million concurrent players which peaked at 2,018,905 given it was released less than a week ago on Steam making it the second game on the platform to do so trailing behind the battle royale giant PUBG. The feat was made possible by selling a staggering 8 million copies in less than six days since its debut on Steam.

Developed by Pocketpair, the monster-catching game’s popularity exploded since its early access release, and it might be because of its adorable “Pals”. With more than 130 Pals in total, each of them can be battled in combat, weakened and then captured using a “Pal Sphere”. Once you’ve captured a Pal, there are numerous things you can do with your new buddy depending on the type of Pal captured. These range from summoning them in combat to stationing them at your home base to help with crafting. Some Pals can also be used as mounts to make traveling the island easier.

Though Palworld isn’t available on the PlayStation 5, the early success of the game might be a sign that it might arrive on other platforms soon. With the game still tagged as under development, everyone is holding their breath as to what else is in store for the hit open-world game.

Palworld enthusiasts can currently dive into the captivating universe on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
