Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Online Arcade Update Released via Patch 1.06/1.000.006

Digital Eclipse has rolled out the Online Arcade Update for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection on PS4 and PS5! Players will see this update download appear as version 1.06/1.000.006, respectively.

For those looking forward to online lobbies, this update tests Online Arcade.

Read on for info on the mode, as well as a proper FAQ on various topics too.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Online Arcade Update Released on Consoles via Patch 1.06/1.000.006

According to Digital Eclipse, “Our goal with Online Arcade mode is to replicate the experience of having a large group of players together in a personal arcade or game room. In that room, you will have total freedom and control over who is allowed in, and which games everyone can play. These rooms will support up to 16 participants who can play any mix of games found in the Kollection that support online play. Up to eight matches can happen simultaneously, and players have the option of competing or spectating.”

The devs added, “Spectator mode was designed in part for running informal tournaments or streaming. It allows lobby participants to watch matches, organize brackets, narrate or announce the games, and even stream all the action from their account.”

FAQ

What is the difference between public and private rooms?
Private rooms can’t be seen in the list of lobbies and can only be accessed by direct invite.

Public rooms are broadcast on the lobby list. Public rooms will include a rating of connection quality, so players can find the rooms that will offer them the best performance.

How does game selection work?
We want to give people the tools to play whatever game or games interest them. In both public and private rooms any participant can select a game to play from the Kollection that supports online play.

Any combination of up to eight games is possible. One group of people in the room can play the original Mortal Kombat arcade game, another group in the same room can play Ultimate MK3 on Super NES, and a third group could play Mortal Kombat II on 32X. Or, if the host wants to run a private tournament for a single game, they can set up their room with eight instances of just one game.

How many simultaneous matches can exist in a room?
Each room can support up to 16 participants and eight matches occurring simultaneously.

Once you enter a room, how do you start or join a match?
When you enter a room, you will see a list of games that people have created. You can choose to join a queue to play one of the games listed or you can create your own game. Once you are in a queue you can drop out at any time.

Much like classic arcade play, each game is a round robin/king of the hill format, so the winner stays until they lose or decide to end their run. Spectators can queue up to play the current room champion if they choose; otherwise, they can just watch the action.

Are there tools to run tournaments?
Players can run ad-hoc tournaments using the lobby system, but there is no preset structure for running tournaments.

Can you see the connection quality of other players in a room?
The quality of both players’ connections will have a big impact on the quality of a match. When you join a lobby, we show a bar-graph icon value that represents the quality of the connection between you and every other member of the room. We think this will make it easy for players to choose a room at a glance.

How are rooms and players identified?
Each room is named after the host who created it – and is automatically generated based on the host’s online gamer name. You can also add descriptors chosen from a pre-populated drop-down list. We’ve come up with a limited number of preset descriptions for the Beta, including “Newbies Only,” “MKII Only,” and “Hardcore Players Only,” among others. We can expand these options based on player feedback.

Can you see how many people are in each room before you join?
Yes. When you’re scrolling through the list of rooms, you can see the number of players in that room, as well as some other useful information, including how many people are currently spectating vs playing. If a room is full you won’t be able to join it.

Can you queue to join a lobby that is full?
No, there’s no queue process to get into a room. If you try to join a room that is full, you will get a message stating that the room is full.

Is there a “kick” mechanic to remove players from rooms?
There’s currently no process for being able to kick people from a game or a room, but private rooms can be created to control who has access.

Do lobbies display the session performance of players, including wins and losses?
Not at the moment. We only show how many games someone has won in a row. We are investigating different ways to retain more information, but we don’t have the answers to those questions yet.

Ghost of Yotei Update 1.101 Fixes New Game Plus Issues

Just a week ago, Sucker Punch Productions released a major update for Ghost of Yotei that introduced New Game Plus alongside a bunch of other new features. Not only that, but it also included a bunch of bug fixes too.

Unfortunately, the introduction of New Game Plus to the game wasn’t a bug-free experience, as some issues managed to come along for the ride. That changes today with the release of Ghost of Yotei update 1.101 (complete version 1.101.000), which is a minor update that aims to fix issues with New Game Plus and more.

This is a minor patch, and as suich, is a small download.

Black Ops 7 Update 1.87 Brings Flood of New Content This December 4

Weekly Challenges

Complete challenges every week of the season to unlock new Loadout items, Camo rewards, and XP. Beginning with Season 01, the Weekly Challenges Menu, accessible via the Lobby or the Challenge Hub in the Career Menu, gives you the chance to earn new Attachments, Scorestreaks, Weapons, and more by completing Challenges in all modes.

At the start of Season 01, immediately check the Weekly Challenge menu to see the available rewards and the challenges required to access them. Complete any six challenges across any (or all) of the four supported modes — Co-op Campaign/Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, or Call of Duty: Warzone (Warzone Patch Notes) — to unlock the weekly Loadout reward. Check the menu again the following week for the next gameplay reward.

Completing challenges also rewards XP, and this is a great way to rise through the Levels. Don’t worry if you miss a week; as long as you’re playing Black Ops 7 during any part of Season 01, all the previous Weekly Challenge Challenges and rewards are still accessible, up to the point the season concludes.

Week 1 Reward: Ballistic Knife: For the first week of Season 01, a brand-new Melee Weapon is your reward: Make sure you’re rapidly completing Weekly Challenges to unlock the Ballistic Knife!

New Weapons

The following weapons are available at launch with even more coming in-season.

Kogot-7 – SMG (Battle Pass)

  • Full-auto submachine gun. Excellent mobility and fast fire rate, but shorter-range capabilities and moderate recoil.
  • What the Kogot-7 lacks in punch, it makes up for with speed and mobility. This fast-firing, quick-handling SMG is perfect for Operators looking to get into the thick of things.
  • Prestige Attachment: MFS Kogot-7 Akimbo
    • A Dual Wield toggle that lets you swap between holding one or two SMGs. Damage range and hipfire spread suffer a slight penalty, overcome by the deluge of firepower at your fingertips. Blocks Underbarrel Attachments.

Maddox RFB – Assault Rifle (Battle Pass)

  • Full-auto assault rifle. Fast fire rate with a large ammo pool.
  • A favorite from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the Maddox RFB returns to action in Black Ops 7. The weapon’s manageable recoil, fast fire rate, and large ammo pool make it ideal for sustained fights.
  • Prestige Attachment: 13” MFS Echo-Fire Barrel
    • A firing blowback system that increases the fire rate for every second bullet, granting a boost in firepower at the expense of some slight accuracy loss.

Ballistic Knife – Melee (Weekly Challenge Reward: Week 1)

  • Spring-action knife launcher. High melee damage and can fire retrievable blades as projectiles.
  • The Ballistic Knife returns, a staple Black Ops weapon that lets you pull off deadly ranged attacks with surprising speed and accuracy as the blade is fired from the handle, eliminating unarmored targets on contact.

NX Ravager – Special Weapon (Event Reward: Week 2)

  • Launches high damage bolt projectiles. Can be configured to fire explosive bolts that detonate a short time after impact.
  • Take aim with the NX Ravager compound bow, featuring quick loading bolts in a device that shoots accurately to great distances

New Multiplayer Scorestreak

Deadeye Drone (Weekly Challenge Reward: Week 3)

  • Take to the skies remotely with the Deadeye Drone to harass and eliminate enemies with its onboard rifle. Soar over the environment and look for target indicators marking the position of enemy Operators.
  • Overclock Abilities
    • Extended Mag: Larger magazine allows for more shots.
    • Grenadier: Attached grenade for aerial bombing.

New Multiplayer Maps

The following maps are available at launch, with more coming in-season.

Utopia (6v6)

  • Once a cutting-edge Guild research facility, this site now serves as the nerve center of Project Synapse under Alden Dorne’s command. Towering structures pierce the skyline, remnants of a forgotten future now repurposed for ruthless ambition.

Fate (6v6)

  • David is dragged back into the nightmare he’s tried to forget: a fractured memory where fear and regret over Raul Menendez take physical form. Step into a warped vision of Menendez’s Nicaraguan compound, now twisted beyond recognition: colossal machetes carve through the sky, and shattered pieces of reality hang suspended as if time itself has splintered.

Odysseus (6v6 / 2v2)

  • The team steps into a distorted hallucination aboard the scarred deck of a familiar carrier etched deep into David’s past. Close-quarters combat dominates as you fight across the deck overlooking a runway frozen in chaos: aircraft locked mid-explosion, debris suspended in time, and a crimson mist bleeding across the sky.

Standoff (6v6)

  • Remastered for Black Ops 7, Standoff returns with greater visual fidelity than ever before. Revisit your favorite spots on this classic mid-sized map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 that played a huge role in casual and competitive play.

Party Games Return

  • Prop Hunt
    • Disguise yourself as a prop and evade notice from searching Operators in this fan-favorite Party Mode challenging players to notice what’s not quite right in the environment. Props whistle every 30 seconds, so be ready to move and even change shape or drop a decoy if the enemy is on to you. Teams switch roles between rounds, from hiding as props to seeking them out before the round timer is up.
  • One in the Chamber
    • Each Operator spawns with a pistol, one bullet, a Combat Knife, and three lives. The only way to earn another bullet is to eliminate another Operator. In this free for all, every shot that lands counts as an elimination, so keep your aim steady and start dancing when encountering enemy fire. When only two players remain, a UAV begins to scan the area, forcing the remaining targets into a fight.
  • Sharpshooter
    • Put your skills to the test in this free-for-all match where every Operator is given the same randomly selected weapon. Every 45 seconds, the weapon changes to a new random weapon for all players, and this cycle continues throughout the match.
  • Sticks & Stones (Week 2)
    • Armed with a Crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and Combat Axe, players battle in a free-for-all earning points for each elimination. Keep slaying to outscore the enemy but beware — those who fall victim to the Combat Axe lose all their points. Watch your back and aim your own axe to take down players with the highest scores.
  • Gun Game (Week 2)
    • Eliminate enemies and be the first to cycle through every weapon tier in this party mode where every Operator starts out with the same weapon. With each elimination, your weapon is advanced to the next tier. Eliminating enemies with a melee attack will demote them to the previous tear and vice versa, so don’t let anyone get up close!

MAPS

New

» Haven’s Hollow «

Haven’s Hollow is a brand-new Resurgence map built from the ground up to deliver a fresh Resurgence experience.

It is inspired by late-summer, early-fall Appalachia, blending small-town Americana with a striking modern research complex to create a timeless, lived-in world. This map features vibrant lighting, colorful foliage, strong visibility, and carefully tuned pacing that lands just slightly larger than Rebirth Island while still maintaining that fast, high-intensity feel.

Players will explore a mix of locations – from the vintage Train Station to the modern Research Center – alongside familiar spaces like Main Street from Liberty Falls, redesigned to fit seamlessly into this setting.

Gameplay focuses on a streamlined, classic Resurgence experience with tight pacing, grounded mobility, consistent loot, and limited vehicles to keep combat approachable and energetic. While not official canon, the map includes redesigned spaces inspired by Zombies locations and features a collection of hidden Easter eggs for a fun layer of discovery throughout each match.

MODES

New

  • Weekend-Only Limited-Time Modes
    • Each weekend, a different Limited Time Mode will be featured, giving players new ways to experience Warzone. The currently planned modes are as follows:
      • Week 1 | Buyback Battle Royale Returning
        • A fan favorite mode that allows players to redeploy as long as they have enough cash when eliminated.
        • Squad Size: Quads
      • Week 2 | Amped Battle Royale New
        • An experimental mode that increases base health to support longer, higher intensity engagements.
        • Squad Size: Quads
      • Week 3 & 4
        • No Limited-Time Mode will be available due to the holiday break.
      • Week 5 | Ultra Fast Resurgence New
        • Details to be announced at a later date.
        • Squad Size: Quads

GENERAL

  • Aim Assist
    • Tuned strength at short and long ranges and refined full-activation requirements to better balance engagements between Controller and KBM players.

MOVEMENT

For movement, our goal this chapter is to make traversal feel smoother, more responsive, and more natural as you flow through the map.

  • Sprinting
    • Removed Tactical Sprint as a core ability.
    • Tactical Sprint is now available via the Sprinter Perk.
    • Increased base sprint speeds.

By shifting Tactical Sprint into a perk unlock and boosting base sprint speed, players still get a smooth, fast traversal experience but your movement choices now carry more intention and build identity. This lets Sprinter lean into high-mobility playstyles while keeping core movement fluid and fair for everyone.

  • Combat Roll
    • Introduced Combat Roll as a new movement tool, available through the Mountaineer Perk.
  • Experimental Mechanics
    • We’ve enabled both Wall Jump and the Grapple Hook in all Limited-Time Modes throughout Season 01.

LOADOUTS

To further streamline the create-a-class experience and reinforce weapon identity, we’ve made several foundational changes to loadouts and weapon customization.

  • Wildcards
    • Wildcards have been removed entirely.
    • Overkill is now available to all players by default.
  • Attachment Cap
    • Weapons are now limited to 5 attachment slots.
  • Equipment Options
    • A number of lethal and tactical equipment options have been moved out of the loadout selection and will only be available via in-match loot.

EQUIPMENT

Lethal and Tactical equipment have received a meaningful refresh this season, featuring a mix of powerful new additions and targeted adjustments to fan-favorite tools.

Equipment Interactions

Starting in Season 01, we’re introducing the first wave of our equipment counterplay interactions – also referred to as our rock-paper-scissors system. This system expands the core utility of equipment, adding additional depth to combat and encouraging players to think more strategically about what they carry throughout a match.

  • Stim Shot
    • The Stim Shot can now be activated immediately after being hit by a Flash or Concussion Grenade to fully clear their disorienting effects.
  • Smoke Grenade
    • The Smoke Grenade can now extinguish lingering flames created by Molotov Cocktails or Napalm Killstreaks.

Available Equipment

» Lethals «

Performance Optimizations

Optimized Core Performance (CPU, Simulation & Tick Rate)

  • Enemy behavior, pathing, and animation processing have been overhauled for smoother performance, especially during high-ZED density waves.
  • Reduced the overhead caused by physics simulation for debris, breakable environment pieces, and turret targeting systems, minimizing stutters.
  • Clean-up processes between waves have been streamlined to prevent brief game slowdowns.
  • General stability for large player squads and crowded hub areas has been improved for more reliable framerates.

Visual & Rendering Enhancements

  • Visual fidelity has been smoothed across all maps, making busy combat scenes clearer and more stable.
  • Reduced visual “clutter” from transparent materials (glass, mesh fences, foliage) to curb sudden dips in frame rate.
  • Improved the efficiency of level-of-detail (LOD) swaps for distant objects, leading to more consistent frame pacing.
  • GPU load spikes have been mitigated by carefully adjusting the budget for shadows, reflections, and atmospheric fog effects.
  • Performance “choke points” in confined spaces (tunnels, hallways, antenna fields) have been lightened to maintain fluid action.

Stability in Gameplay & Online Experience

  • Micro-stuttering during intense moments, such as Siren effect dissipation, door destruction, and heavy corpse removal, has been reduced.
  • Smoother performance during critical transitions (match end, using the Trader, and match resumption) by reducing hitches.
  • Joining matches in progress and rejoining friends is now faster and exhibits fewer network lag spikes.

Loading, Streaming & Content Delivery

  • Faster loading times and smoother transitions between game areas and modes due to optimized background content streaming.
  • Content “pop-in” has been significantly lessened, and in-combat streaming efficiency has been improved on multiple maps.
  • Wait times for mounting game content packs and switching between the hub and mission deployment are now shorter.

UI, HUD & Visual Effects

  • User interface (UI) and Heads-Up Display (HUD) components refresh more efficiently, resulting in quicker, more responsive menu and screen navigation.
  • Reduced screen flicker and pauses when accessing the Trader, Armory/Store, and Assignment screens.
  • Visual effects for blood, fire, smoke, and boss abilities have been tuned to keep frame rates stable, even during the largest fights.

Balance Adjustments

Tools/Armor Tunes

  • Pulse Lure – The Pulse Lure has now been enhanced with reverse-engineered Siren biosonar technology allowing it to emit dual frequency ultrasonic bursts. The primary pulse maintains its original luring and confusion effects, while the secondary revelation frequency exposes cloaked enemies through acoustic interference with their stealth systems.

Zed Gameplay Tunes

  • Zed Confusion
    • Confusion duration reduced
    • Clot – 58%
    • Cyst – 50%
    • Mire Clot – 81%

    • Scream – shared cooldown reduced from 6.5 seconds to 4 seconds.
    • Sonic Projectiles – shared cooldown reduced from 6.5 seconds to 5.5 seconds.
      • Large Siren groups struggle to be impactful in gameplay if they are targeting the same player. The intent with this adjustment is to allow them to use their abilities on the same target slightly sooner to improve their challenge while still not allowing these abilities to become overbearing when fighting groups of Sirens.
  • Impaler
    • Player count adjustments for 3-6 Players
      • Attack damage reduced 20%
      • Health reduced 20%

Commando Weapons

  • Commando T4 Knightsbridge
    • Fixed issue where you couldn’t fire the Knightsbridge immediately after firing the last shot of the Underbarrel Frag Launcher mod (while that mod is attached to the weapon). Now it should feel more responsive and not make you wait to fire the weapon’s primary fire mode after firing the last frag.

Medic Weapons

  • Medic Dart Underbarrel

      • With the introduction of the KV Recluse, the H&W MP6 has been buffed to keep it competitive. It now deals 29% more damage, costs 9% more to purchase, and has a 20% reduction in ammo cost, making it a stronger and more efficient choice for Medics.
  • Medic T4 – LF-85
    • Reload half time increased 14%
    • Reload empty time increased 13%
    • Base damage increased 14%
      • The LF-85 has been rebalanced to hit harder but reload more slowly. Base damage is up 14%, while both half and empty reload times have been slightly increased, making timing and positioning more important for sustained fire.

Sharpshooter Weapons

  • Sharpshooter T4 Samaritan
    • reload empty time increased 27%
    • reload half time decreased 5%
    • Base damage increased 21%
    • Ammo cost increased 3%
      • The Samaritan has been tuned to feel more deliberate but deadlier. Empty reloads now take longer while half reloads are slightly faster, encouraging tactical reloads. Base damage is up 21% for greater punch, with a small ammo cost increase to balance the boost.

There are also over 500 bug fixes applied, which I suggest giving a read if you’re curious about it.

Needless to say, with a patch this significant, don’t be surprised to see a hotfix or two be released to fix any major issues that might arise from this title update.

College Football 26 New Update 1.015 Adds New Uniforms, Helmets

EA has released College Football 26 update 1.015 (complete version 1.015.000), and this adds new content for free to all game owners. Football fans can expect new uniforms, helmets, and equipment to be added, which should further enhance the realism of the sports sim.

Given the timing, this is most likely the last content update for the football sim for the year.

For the list of new uniforms added and other info, head on below.

College Football 26’s Update for December 4 Adds New Content via Patch 1.015

Update: EA has released a proper changelog of some of the new improvements applied, which we’ve listed below.

New Improvements

  • Smarter AI run playcalling & north–south ball carrier logic
  • Improved AI QB sack avoidance & late-game clock management
  • QB juke exploit fixes + stronger defender containment
  • Coach adjustment reset issue resolved

AI Play

  • Modified AI run game playcalling logic to rely more heavily on their most effective run types.
  • Reduced unnecessary skill moves by ball carriers, both inside the tackles and behind the line of scrimmage, to focus on decisive, north–south running.
  • AI QB’s will now have better consideration of throwing the ball away when all receivers are covered to avoid taking unnecessary sacks.
  • AI QB clock management improved by targeting the end zone or throwing the ball away near halftime and in late-game situations.

General Gameplay

  • Addressed the unrealistic QB speed boost when juking in the backfield while not holding Sprint.
  • Improved defender pursuit so they maintain proper containment angles against QB jukes.
  • With these fixes, both aspects of QB jukes behind the line have been rebalanced — no more unintended speed boosts, and defenders now keep stronger containment.
  • Fixed an issue where changing Wear & Tear Subs at playcall would reset your coach adjustments.

While EA hasn’t released the official changelog, the community is here to rescue! Read on for the confirmed new uniforms added with todaay’s title update.

PUBG Update 1.006 Out for Patch 39.1 Includes Erangel Subzero

PUBG patch 39.1 is out for update 1.006 and this includes the new frozen version of the Erangel map. The weather will affect some gameplay elements.

Aside from the winter-themed map, players can also expect balance changes for some of the guns. Read on for the patch notes for PUBG below.

PUBG Update 1.006 Includes the Erangel Subzero Map

Erangel: Subzero

…Everything began with a twisted ambition to turn the Battlegrounds into something far more unforgiving.

During a clandestine experiment, a catastrophic failure sent multiple Tythonic Satellites crashing down onto Erangel. The impact ruptured the Satellites and released cryogenic gas, which soon spread across the island. The Blue Zone was not spared from its influence, and Erangel’s climate began to warp under the growing chill. The crash sites froze over, and the island soon found itself gripped by sudden, severe changes in weather.

Now, you must fight to survive in Erangel’s frigid and treacherous landscape—and remember that this marks only the beginning of a long and unforgiving winter..

Area Modifications

Several areas across Erangel have changed following Satellite crashes.

Stalber

Stalber, where magnetic field experiments were being conducted, has frozen over due to the cryogenic gas leaking from the crashed Satellite.

Shelter

Shelter, once a hidden storage site for the Tythonic Satellites, now stands among the places where those Satellites have crashed back to earth. Rumor has it some of them hold valuable loot.

Sosnovka Military Base & Boatyard

These two areas have also undergone drastic changes.

Other Areas

  • The bridge leading to Sosnovka Military Base has partially collapsed following a Satellite crash.

  • The southwestern plain of Erangel has also seen major changes.

  • Wreckage from crashed Satellites can be found in certain areas.

  • Several rivers have frozen over due to the sharp drop in temperature.

  • Snow piling up across Erangel has also altered parts of the terrain.

Blue Zone

※ The following changes apply to all modes except Team Deathmatch.

  • A freezing effect has been added.

    • The damage, speed, and radius of the Blue Zone remain unchanged.

    • New visual and sound effects have been added, varying by the level of Blue Zone damage.

    • The freezing effect is not blocked by the Jammer Pack.

  • The above changes also apply to both the BZ Grenade and the BZ Grenade Launcher.

BZ Grenade

  • A freezing effect has been added to the Blue Zone sphere generated upon throwing.

    • This effect functions the same way as that of the Blue Zone.

New Weapon: BZ Grenade Launcher

Introducing a single-shot, break-open launcher found only in Erangel: Subzero. Use the BZ Grenade Launcher to pressure enemies or block their vision!

  • Inventory slot: Secondary Weapons

  • Ammo: 40mm BZ Grenade

    • Ammo weight: 20

    • When attached to a surface such as an object, the ground, wall, or roof, a Blue Zone sphere with a 7.5 m radius is created after a short delay.

      • The sphere is less powerful than the one created by the BZ Grenade, dealing 8 damage per second.

      • A warning sound plays before the sphere is generated.

    • Does not activate when landing on water.

    • 2-3 rounds spawn together with the BZ Grenade Launcher.

  • Spawns in the World, Secret Rooms, and from Satellites.

Weather

Experience completely different weather conditions caused by the climate change.

  • A faint chill can be felt in the air, though the skies remain clear for now.

  • Applies to Arcade only.

  • Snowflakes begin to fall, gradually covering the ground.

  • With the Dynamic Weather feature enabled, changing winter conditions unfold across the Battlegrounds.

  • Applies to Normal Match, Ranked, and Custom Match.

Spawn Changes

  • The Vikendi Ghillie Suit now spawns in Secret Rooms, Care Packages, and special airdrops.

  • The world spawn rate of the M79 has been increased.

  • The world spawn rates of the P1911, P92, and R1895 have been slightly reduced.

Map

  • The World Map and Minimap have been updated in alignment with the above changes.

Miscellaneous

  • Due to the aftermath of the Satellite crash, the Red Zone has been disabled.

  • The rivers and sea have frozen, temporarily suspending ferry operations.

  • Airplanes operating over Erangel have received visual changes.

  • When parachuting, visibility may be reduced due to changing weather conditions.

<Dev’s comment>

Update 39.1 brings a harsh winter to Erangel, PUBG’s most iconic battleground. The Blue Zone, now carrying a freezing effect, along with frozen rivers and terrain and shifting weather conditions, all demand quick decision-making and constant adaptation from players. Crossing frozen water to open new routes or engaging in firefights around snow-covered positions will introduce combat situations that feel entirely new. The new BZ Grenade Launcher also adds fresh tactical possibilities, allowing players to adapt their approach depending on the flow of battle. This update is more than a simple environmental change. It is designed to add tactical tension and bring variety to travel routes, key positions, and overall survival strategy across Erangel.

Erangel’s winter will only grow harsher as time goes on, and we hope you meet the challenge and forge your own path to victory in Erangel: Subzero.

Gunplay

VSS

  • Vertical recoil increased by approximately 10%.

  • Horizontal recoil increased by approximately 5%.

  • The firing sound is now louder and can be heard from farther away.

SLR

  • Vertical recoil decreased by approximately 5%.

  • Horizontal recoil decreased by approximately 5%.

SKS

  • Horizontal recoil decreased by approximately 10%.

  • Muzzle velocity drop over distance has been reduced.

AUG

  • Horizontal recoil increased by approximately 4%.

M416

  • Horizontal recoil decreased by approximately 5%.

Dev’s comment: This update includes several balance adjustments across multiple weapons. First, the VSS has received recoil tuning to make sustained fire more challenging, addressing its exceptionally high usage and win rates. We’ve also adjusted its sound design based on player feedback, while retaining its naturally quieter profile to preserve the weapon’s identity. For the SLR and SKS, both weapons showed low usage and win rates, so the SLR’s recoil has been eased to improve handling, and the SKS has been adjusted with recoil and muzzle-velocity improvements to enhance overall performance. Lastly, horizontal recoil has been adjusted for the AUG and M416 to reduce the performance gap between ARs. We hope these changes make gunplay feel more balanced and enjoyable.

Collaboration: BALENCIAGA

※ The PUBG | BALENCIAGA collaboration world features are available until the next update.

World

  • BALENCIAGA showrooms have been added to hidden locations across Erangel. Visit these exclusive spots for a unique and stylish experience!

  • Care Packages across various maps have been decorated with the collaboration theme.

Gameplay

Bot Refinement

  • Bot difficulty has been slightly reduced.

  • Bot movement has been improved to make their pathing look more natural on certain terrains.

  • The Recall system has been added.

  • A Pan is now provided as default equipment.

  • The Emergency Cover Flare is now obtainable from Supply Drops.

Dev’s comment: This update brings several changes to Team Deathmatch and Intense Battle Royale. For Team Deathmatch, Care Package items have been adjusted to better fit the mode, and Spawn Kits have been updated to reflect gameplay balance changes. For Intense Battle Royale, we’ve added the Recall system and the Emergency Cover Flare to offer players a second chance and expand cover options. We hope these changes broaden your strategic choices and create more varied combat experiences.

Casual Mode

  • The daily play limit has been changed from 3 matches to 60 minutes.

    • Matchmaking availability is determined based on the party member with the least remaining daily play time.

    • When playing in Duo or Squad mode, spectating time also counts toward the total play time.

    • Once a match has started, you can continue playing until it ends, regardless of your remaining time.

Dev’s comment: This update brings an improvement many players have been asking for. Previously, the 3-match daily limit made it difficult to fully enjoy Casual Mode on days when luck wasn’t on your side. By changing the daily limit to 60 minutes, we hope this allows you to enjoy Casual Mode to the fullest.

    • The Last 10 Matches information has also been added to Normal Match stats.

  • The stat previously shown as Kill/Death Ratio (K/D) or KDA has been replaced with Avg Kills.

    • This change is reflected in Career, Profile, and the Leaderboard.

  • The Headshot Kills stat has been renamed to Total Headshot Kills.

Hi-Fi Rush New Update 1.003 Transitions Ownership to Krafton

About a year ago, Krafton announced it has acquired Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP from Microsoft. Today, it’s official even in the game, as Tango Gameworks has released Hi-Fi Rush update 1.003 (complete version 1.003.000), that changes the logos in the game to reflect Krafton’s ownership.

While there’s no new content added, this does signal a shift in the game and confirms it’s being set up as a franchise by Krafton.

For PC players, this patch also sees the removal of Denuvo, which should be a welcome change for most.

Hi-Fi Rush Rush’s December 3 Update Removes Denuvo, Stamps Krafton’s Ownership via Patch 1.003

All Platform

  • A whole bunch of housekeeping to deal with the surprisingly complicated transition of publishers. Mostly consisting of inserting KRAFTON into a plethora of locations to the game.
  • This also includes a brand new new Tango Gameworks logo in the splash screen! But rest assured, no playable content was removed or altered.
  • In-game content and messages about corporate policy and creativity left unaltered in order to preserve ominous telling of the future and reinforce themes.

PC

  • While a form of copy protection is still present in the game, Denuvo is now removed. As always, please support our games through legal means so we can continue to make cool things for you!

*Because of this major change in architecture, this patch MUST be downloaded to play the game after midnight at the start of January 16, 2026 (KST)! An unpatched version of the game will be unplayable at that point, so please be aware of this deadline.*

Notice on Upcoming Denuvo Removal

Denuvo support for the PC version of Hi-Fi RUSH is scheduled to end at 00:00(KST) on January 16, 2026. Please note that even after Denuvo is removed, the game’s own anti-tampering features will remain active and will not affect normal gameplay.

This adjustment is intended to provide a more stable and efficient service environment. We sincerely appreciate all players who continue to support the game through legitimate use.

Gadget Additions and Adjustments in Ver. 1.2.0

Since launch, we’ve observed two common strategies emerge in online matches:

  1. Using drift-type gadgets to maintain top positions.
  2. Staying in 9th – 12th place and using item control gadgets to get powerful items late in the race and quickly jump to top positions.

Both strategies made it very difficult for those in 4th – 8th place to make a comeback.

Therefore, in Ver.1.2.0, we’ve added and strengthened support-type and item-type gadgets to make it easier to make comebacks from 4th – 8th place.

We will continue monitoring online gadget usage and win rates to adjust balance going forward.

New Gadgets

We’ve added 6 gadgets!*

  • Item Control Type
    • Lucky Pair
    • Double Down
  • Support Type
    • Ring Mercy
    • Damage Mercy
    • Item Mercy
    • Strong Finish

The following gadgets which were previously distributed as Festival rewards can now be purchased with Donpa Tickets from the gadget customization screen**:

  • Boost Character Kit
  • Power Character Kit
  • Handling Character Kit
  • Comeback Kit
  • Sea Dog Kit

Gadget Adjustments

  • Quick Recovery
    • Further reduced downtime after taking a hit.
    • Previously, Quick Recovery provided a large benefit when hit, but losing rings often led to lower final positions. The gadget has been adjusted to allow more mid-position endurance.
  • Acceleration Machine Kit
    • Recovery timing further reduced to align with Quick Recovery’s adjustments.
  • Wisp Chance UP
    • Reduced the influence on item probability.
    • Previously, Wisp Chance UP made it too easy to collect powerful items before the race’s end and aim for top positions. We’ve dialed this back a bit.
  • Invincible Start
    • Vehicles now flash just before the effect ends to make timing clearer.

Other Adjustments

  • Adjusted the appearance of Silver and Blaze’s AI skins and the color of Race Park rivals “Team Dimension,” as they could be mistaken for Invincible state.
    • For the eagle-eyed, the new color scheme is based on the “Turquoise Blue” aura Silver the Hedgehog emits when activating his abilities!
  • Improved machine handling after collisions with other machines in water areas.
  • Improved directional input detection to make it easier to use items in the intended direction while drifting.
  • Adjusted race communication to prioritize syncing information that affects race progression, improving correct reflection of Invincibility such as Ultimate Charge activation.
  • Strengthened anti-cheat measures for races and race results in online play such as Global Match on PC.

Concerning Anti-Cheat Measures

With Patch Ver.1.2.0, we have strengthened our anti-cheat measures to ensure a fair and secure online environment. These improvements focus primarily on countering cheating behaviors that give players an unfair advantage in World Match and Time Trial.

If cheating activity continues to increase, we may be required to consider additional anti-cheat measures across a broader range of systems, depending on the situation. To ensure that all players can enjoy the game safely and fairly, we kindly ask for your continued cooperation in maintaining a fair and secure gameplay environment.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Festival announcements showing old information before events began.
  • Fixed a bug where auto-acceleration failed to activate for several seconds after manual input.
  • Improved smoothness and visibility of left/right movement in item warning display.
  • Fixed a bug where Charge Dash would not activate when passing through Transform Rings in mid-air drift state using Dash type.
  • Fixed a bug where attacks from the “King Bomb Boo” item could be avoided using Charge Jump or Handle Assist.
  • Fixed a bug where “King Bomb Boo” item attacks in mid-air could cause fire pillar direction to be incorrect.
  • Fixed a bug where using the “Laser” item caused Dash type machine appearance to break at certain times.
  • Fixed a bug where using the “Boost” item obtained during Boost Frenzy at the exact end of Frenzy could make the item unusable.
  • Fixed a bug where using the “Tornado” item during Boost Frenzy could make items unusable until Frenzy ended.
  • Adjusted Dash Gate placement in Dash Gate Frenzy on certain courses where more gates than intended were placed.
  • Fixed a bug in course “Wonder Museum” where machines could get stuck in the Tornado.
  • Fixed a bug in course “Sky Road” or “Minecraft World” where using “Slicer” or “Homing Punch” when crossing Travel Rings or End Portals could cause incorrect tracking.
  • Fixed a bug in course “Steampunk City” where colliding from the side with ground where trains run could cause machines to sink into the ground.
  • Fixed a bug in course “White Cave” where using “Drill” in cave areas could cause machines to sink into the ground.
  • Fixed several other gameplay-related bugs.

Now that’s one way to round up the year! Expect the next major update to be released in 2026. Some of the stuff we can look forward to includes a Mega Man-themed DLC and more.

Once SEGA releases another patch, expect it here on MP1st.

Fallout 76 Servers Taken Down for Maintenance on December 3

While yesterday should have been a great day for Fallout 76 players given the Burning Springs update went out, it was marred by server downtime that took over 12 hours to resolve.

Today, December 3, the Fallout 76 servers have been taken down and offline again, and this is to conduct maintenance.

Fallout 76 Down as Servers Undergo Maintenance on Dec. 3

Update: As per four hours ago, servers are back up says Bethesda, which players should already know by now.

The announcement comes from Bethesda, which confirmed that after the PC servers were taken offline, it’s now the PlayStation and Xbox servers’ turn. Unfortunately, same with past maintenance downtimes, there is no definite timeframe on when these will go back up.

Chances are, it’ll take an hour or two at the very least –provided we don’t see a repeat of yesterday’s disastrous server outage. If you haven’t download the gargantuan file for the Burning Springs update, you’ll want ot change that quick, as it introduces Bounty Hunting and more. Here’s a rundown of the new stuff included in the Burning Springs update.

  • Bounty Hunting – Grab your duster, cowboy hat, and your favorite weapon because it’s time for some Bounty Hunting!
  • Explore Burning Springs – Cross Point Pleasant Bridge to enter a new land of rust and blood. Explore our largest map expansion yet!
  • An Audience with the King – Prove yourself to The Rust King, the ruthless ruler of Burning Springs in the start of a whole new storyline for Fallout 76.
  • New Public Events – Participate in two new Public Events, “Gearin’ Up” and “Sinkhole Solutions”.
  • A Rad New Pet – Bring home a new friend from the Wasteland. A Radhog!
  • Season 23: Blood X Rust – A Season for the Raiders.

The complete patch notes cover the gameplay-related changes as well. If the server downtime takes longer than expected, we’ll provide an update in the article itself.

For those looking to jump into the Fallout 76 pool, the game is massively discounted as part of the PlayStation Store’s End of Year sale.

Battlefield 6 Winter Offensive Update Highlights Lists Major Improvements Incoming

Next week, Battlefield 6’s last major update of 2025 is set to be released, which will not only bring new content, but also a slew of gameplay improvements. Called the Winter Offensive content drop, DICE has coined this as update version 1.1.3.0, and it’ll include some much-needed changes to netcode, hit registration, and more.

While the patch notes aren’t available yet, the studio has released a list of the major changes coming with the December 9 patch.

Battlefield 6’s Winter Offensive Update Ushers in Improvements to Rush and Breakthoughbattlefield 6 bots

Audio Improvements

With this update, we have made a broad set of audio improvements, including better prioritization of important combat and vehicle sounds, and a comprehensive pass on footsteps to improve clarity, distance definition, and positional awareness across the game. We have also continued to work on performance and memory issues that could cause sounds, such as vehicles or footsteps, to sometimes not play as intended, which has been particularly noticeable on larger Battle Royale maps.

Mode Adjustments

Across Rush and Breakthrough, we’re making major updates focused on improving attacker flow, reducing defender oversaturation, and tightening clarity around objectives. Our goal is to make each push feel more readable, fair, and momentum-based without undermining strong defensive play.

In Breakthrough, capture volumes and vehicle availability have been updated across several maps. These changes are guided by your feedback and internal data to help bring win rates closer together for both teams. As one example, Siege of Cairo now features an additional attacker tank in Sectors 1 and 3, along with an updated capture area on B to give attackers a clearer foothold.

In Rush, M-COM locations on Manhattan Bridge and Liberation Peak have been adjusted to give attackers more reliable access and to smooth out the flow between sectors.

Across both modes, multiple capture zones have been reshaped or clarified so players understand more clearly where to contest or defend. Vehicle spawns have also been rebalanced on several maps to better support attackers where pushes tended to stall and to reduce setups where defenders held overwhelming vehicle advantages. These updates are intended to reduce bottlenecks, remove frustration points, and create more consistent and engaging fights around objectives.

BF6’s Winter Offensive Adjusts Netcode and Hit Registration

battlefield 6 season 1 bugs

Combat Systems

In this update we have also made broad improvements across our combat systems to help deliver more consistent, predictable, and responsive gameplay.

Hit Registration and Netcode

We are continuing to build on our work to make hit registration feel consistent, reliable, and predictable during every engagement. With this update, we have improved how bullet trajectories are aligned in fast-paced situations, including cases where shots were fired while transitioning into a zoom. These improvements correct inconsistencies that could affect hit registration and the readability of where your shots were landing. We have also made updates to better handle high-density combat scenarios to ensure bullets register more reliably when multiple players are fighting in close proximity.

In parallel, we have tightened the clarity of damage feedback so that health UI changes and damage cues feel more immediate and easier to understand during combat. While this is separate from Netcode itself, improving how damage is presented plays a key role in making hit registration feel responsive and intuitive.

Lastly, we have resolved an issue where clients could briefly display certain pieces of geometry as intact even though they had already been destroyed on the server. Fixing this eliminates cases where incoming damage could appear to pass through walls.

As promised, soldier visibility will also be improved in the upcoming update.

Soldier visibility

In this update, we have refined how visibility effects activate at close range so that soldiers stand out more clearly in darker or low-contrast areas. We have also updated prone animations to include more subtle movement, improving the ability to spot soldiers using low-profile positions.

We are already looking ahead at broader improvements to lighting and exposure, especially in indoor vs. outdoor transitions, and how characters read against complex environments. This work continues to be a major focus for us, and we are approaching it with the goal of improving clarity without compromising the intended Battlefield visual style.

Weapon adjustments

Weapon feel and reliability are always top priorities for the team. This update includes wide-ranging improvements to weapon handling, including fixes to first-shot accuracy, attachment behavior, and tuning across various recoil patterns and weapon categories. These changes aim to deliver more predictable and consistent weapon performance in active combat. We will continue to refine weapon behaviour based on live data and player feedback, with additional adjustments already in development for future updates.

DICE also shared that they are “actively exploring several areas aimed at improving clarity, responsiveness, and fairness in combat.” This includes further work on hit registration, investigating “rare desync scenarios with destructible objects, and gathering deeper data on situations where players feel they were eliminated after reaching cover.”

Regarding weapon bloom, the devs are monitoring the changes introduced in the California Resistance patch, and the early trend “show a healthy distribution of weapon usage across categories.” as the devs continue to track performance to identify outliers as the weapon meta evolves.

So far, the game seems to be headed in the right direction. Once the complete Winter Offensive patch notes are out, we’ll let our readers know.

Following the big Chapter 7 event this weekend, Epic Games has released Fortnite update 4.94 on all platforms, and as one might expect, this applies fixes rather than add any new content.

Hell Let Loose Update 19 Released as Patch 1.050

Expression Games has released Hell Let Loose Update 19 on all platforms this December 3, and this adds a new map in Smolensk, new vehicle types and more.

Console gamers will see today’s download appear as Hell Let Loose update 1.050 (complete version 1.050.000), and this should be a hefty download across all platforms.

For the info on what got added, read on for the patch notes.

Hell Let Loose’s December 3 Content Drop Ushers in Update 19 via Patch 1.050

New Map: Smolensk

Our newest map brings the fight to the Eastern Front along the Dnieper River.

Smolensk is the result of extensive research and development by our team, with the goal of creating a dense urban battlefield that feels authentic and intense. The map features a wide range of distinct areas, including industrial zones, tight urban streets, and key riverside positions. We cannot wait to see players push through these locations and fight for control of the city.

We have also put a great deal of work into building a dramatic night time scenario. Fires rage across the skyline and illuminated buildings can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, creating a striking atmosphere as battles unfold. We hope you enjoy the experience.

New Vehicle Type: Self-Propelled Artillery (SPA)

For Update 19, a new vehicle type has been added to Hell Let Loose, that is initially being called ‘Self Propelled Artillery’. They are now available across all factions.

The initial release of SPAs is the start of a series of updates that will give each unit unique characteristics and statistics based on their real historic counterparts.

As with our Armor changes in Update 18, the introduction of SPAs in Update 19 marks the beginning of an iterative process. Our goal is to establish a clear initial vision for how Self Propelled Artillery should function in Hell Let Loose, and the version you see today is shaped directly by the feedback many of you shared on the Experimental Branch. Rest assured we will continue to refine both SPAs and the wider artillery loop as we move into 2026. Please keep sharing your thoughts with us, since your feedback plays a major role in guiding these changes.

  • Soviet: KV-2
  • US: Sherman M4A3 105
  • German: Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär
  • British (Allied): Churchill Mk III A.V.R.E.
  • DAK: Panzer III Ausf.N
  • British Eighth Army: Bishop SP 25pdr

Unlike other armor, these can only be used by the newly created Artillery Squad (more on that down below) and cost munitions instead of fuel to spawn in.

They have the duel capabilities of indirectly bombarding positions from range and assaulting enemy positions with direct fire.

New Class/Static Artillery Changes

A new unit type has been added to the game, along with three new roles. Two Artillery Units can be made per team. They are unavailable on the Skirmish game mode or for the attacking side in Offense. An artillery unit is now the only unit capable of operating the static artillery guns or piloting an SPA

The new roles are

Artillery Observer

The squad leader. Your role is to act as the bridge between the command chat and your unit. While capable of riding in an SPA alongside your squad, The Observer is most effective on the front lines, informing, guiding shots and marking enemy positions with a flare gun for your team to fire upon.

Artillery Engineer

The only member of the unit with a blowtorch, it is the role of the Engineer to maintain the health of the SPA and static gun. The Artillery Engineer also carries a wrench, similar to the regular engineer, capable of building several constructs, and mines to safeguard the SPA or static artillery gun. Together with the Artillery Support, the Engineer drives, aims and fires the artillery guns.

Artillery Support

This role carries a supply box, similar to the regular support class. Essential for assembling a static artillery gun at the start of the match and rebuilding it should it be destroyed. The Artillery Support works closely with the Artillery engineer to build various constructs. Together with the Artillery Engineer, the Support drives, aims and fires the artillery guns.

Static Artillery Changes

Static Artillery guns have long since been a point of controversy within the community, partially due to their sometimes oppressive nature and partially because the previous method of countering them often required a recon team to spawn camp the artillery users over and over again, leading to an unfun experience for both the recon and the people on the gun.

As such they have had several mechanical and balance changes.

  • Firstly, rather then the three that was present before, now only one gun can be active at a time and it must first be built using 50 supplies. Also, only an artillery squad can make use of it
  • Secondly, the static gun can now be dismantled/destroyed by an enemy team. Should a gun be taken out of action then a cooldown will start (currently 5 minutes although this is likely to be adjusted pending feedback). Once that cooldown has expired then the gun can be rebuilt.
  • To encourage teamwork and cooperation, the ability for the artillery loader to swap seats while reloading has been disabled, and the turning radius of the gunner seat has been slightly reduced, giving the loader more responsibility in aiming the weapon.

Right now a team can have, at max, two SPAs active, or one SPA and one static gun.

Another change is that previously the static gun drained munitions from the team’s collective pool at a rate of 3 per HE shell fired. This created potential issues as players could drain the team’s munition resource without any input from the commander. Now, when the gun is built it comes with a fixed ammunition amount, similar to tanks. The commander has an ability to refill the static gun of all it’s ammunition (HE and smokes) at the cost of munitions. The exchange rate of munitions spent per shell  fired is being kept at similar levels to before.

This marks the initial release of changes to static artillery, with further tactical flexibility for artillery gun positioning under consideration for future updates.

Armor Changes

Update 18 came with some major changes to Armor, and with Update 19 we are continuing to work on the Armor class. The following will be released in as part of this Update:

Tank Balance

  • All LightMedium and Heavy tanks have been rebalanced to match their intended speeds, ensuring more consistent tank performance.
    • An issue arose where all of these tanks were reaching higher than intended top speeds.
  • Adjusted high gear handling on the T-34, creating better stability and responsiveness at higher speeds

Vehicle Balance

All remaining vehicles have been updated to better align with the performance standards of existing tanks. Changes include:

  • Recon Tanks: Slight increases to health, damage output and top speed. Turret rotation speed and elevation rates have also been improved.
  • Half Tracks, Trucks and Jeeps: Top speeds increased and health values adjusted to create more consistent balance across all vehicles

Structures and Equipment Balance

  • Ammo Depot: Ammo Depot return ammo increased from 10 to 20, allowing players to restock more effectively during engagements
  • Crewman Loadout: The Mechanic loadout now includes a supply crate, giving Armor more opportunities to build in the field
  • Anti-Tank Launchers: AT launcher ammo count have been increased from 2 to 3, allowing players more flexibility in engaging armored targets. Furthermore, the penetration values on the Bazooka have been increased to bring it in line with other faction launchers.

New Weapons with Bipods

The M1918A2 BAR and the FG42 now feature deployable bipods, giving players new tactical options when engaging from fixed positions. These weapons also provide improved stability for accurate sustained fire, while reducing the player’s mobility.

  • M1918A2 BAR
  • FG42

UI Updates: KIA Screen & Network Icons

Following feedback from Update 18, adjustments have been made to the UI, focusing in particular on the Killed in Action screen and the network icons. In Update 19, you will now find new options in your settings menu that let you toggle specific information on or off. This means you can choose to hide the name of the player who killed you, the weapon they used, and whether network icons appear on your screen. These options give you more control over your experience and let you tailor the UI to your own preferences.

Free Community DLC

As mentioned in the introduction, we have also added some free DLC to your inventory as part of Update 19. These include three new helmets as part of the ‘Fallschirmjäger Airborne Veterans’ set, plus one of our brand new armor cosmetics for the tankers out there. This Soviet and British 8th Army Armor Pack features the ‘1st Armoured Division’ Crusader Mk. III and ‘30th Guard’s Tank Brigade’ T-34.
