Cyberpunk 2077 Nvidia Driver Update 537.42 Arrives Just in Time for 2.0 Update

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 2.0 is launching on all platforms today, though PC players will have plenty more to look forward to with this update as it introduces DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction, boosting both performance and image quality! But before the release of the 2.0 update, you’re going to want to download the Cyberpunk 2077 Game Ready Nvidia Driver 537.42.

For those sporting a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card, you’ll want to download the latest Nvidia Driver (537.42) if you’re planning on jumping into Cyberpunk 2077 later today, as it will bring full DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction support, providing you the ultimate experience to play Cyberpunk 2077 at peak performance. Here’s an overview of what DLSS 3.5 is bringing to the table.

And here’s an overview of what you can expect to see in terms of performance boost in Cyberpunk 2077 with the latest drivers and running everything on max graphical presets, including ray-tracing.

Hell Let Loose Update 1.023 for September 21 Released for 14.3 Hotfix

Console players will also be receiving a hotfix later this week, as some of these fixes will need to go through a separate process.

Fixes are underway for the below items:

VOIP Disconnect Fix

  • [Fixed] Vivox Error 1019 when connecting to channels
    We believe we may have fixed an ongoing VOIP issue where players can find themselves getting disconnected randomly and then being unable to reconnect.

Steam Achievements

  • [PC] [Fixed] All Practice Range achievements are not unlocking

Ultrawide Monitors

  • [Fixed] Character previews scale incorrectly
  • [Fixed] Fix for tank driver seat FOV
  • [Fixed] Fix for Sherman doubled-up scope
  • [Fixed] Tank scope offset on certain resolutions
  • [Fixed] Tank cross hairs incorrectly aligned

Hell Let Loose did not previously offer ultrawide support – although it did have compatibility – and those using ultrawide monitors played with a cropped and highly scaled version of the game that cut off the character model’s hand and majority of the weapon, as well as cropped tank scopes. Compared to those playing on a 16:9 resolution, the sights were far more zoomed in and appeared larger, giving ultrawide players somewhat of an advantage.

Ultrawide support was highly requested by the community, and Patch 14.3 introduced this support, which now provides the same 16:9 game resolution for ultrawide monitors.

This does mean that, for those used to the zoomed-in appearance, this change can now feel somewhat jarring, and the distortion of the peripheral edges – standard on 16:9 – may feel increased.

Depending on your settings, some players may have tried to compensate for the previous lack of ultrawide support by increasing their FOV to 120, and maintaining Y axis.

With the added support, we recommend changing these settings to the below in order to reduce any fish-eye effect:

  • FOV 90
  • Maintaining X axis

Conan Exiles Update 1.95 for Sep. 21 Releases for Age of War Chapter 2

Funcom has deployed Conan Exiles update 1.95 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox this September 21. This brings in the huge Age of War Chapter 2 content to the game. Check out the official Conan Exiles Age of War Chapter 2 patch notes down below.

  • Optimized memory and network usage.
  • Game will no longer freeze when players approach the coast near Siptah’s southern islands.
  • Fixed an exploit in regards to item duplication.
  • Purge Rework
    • Purges are now triggered manually by the player (through the Proclaim Wealth button in the new Hoard Coffer interface!).
    • New Coffer Interface can also be used to sell treasures in your coffer for Gold Coins!
    • Initiating a Purge will cause a Stygian Forward Operating Base to spawn nearby and begin sending waves of enemies to assault your base and steal your treasure!
      • Including enemies that will attack using the all new Battering Ram to punch through your base even faster!
    • To trigger a Purge successfully there must be a valid path from outside of your base all the way through to your Hoard and Coffer. Should this path be destroyed or blocked the Purge will retreat.
    • Thralls can now be assigned to guard any doors in-game to help you defend from the new Purge, simply assign a thrall while hovering over one of the “ghosts” that will appear showing its assignment slot and confirming.
    • Purge difficulty is scaled to the amount of treasure inside of your coffer!
    • After a significant portion of your treasures are successfully stolen, the attacking army will retreat victoriously. (You Lose!)
    • Repel enough waves to trigger the Hand of War boss to reveal himself and join the fight!
    • Killing the Hand of War will end the Purge, dropping keys to loot the FOB’s reward chests and release captives that have been taken by the Stygian army! (You Win!)
      • Be sure to bring any stolen and new treasures back to your hoard to increase your overall wealth to continue increasing the difficulty levels of the Purge.
    • Captured prisoners that are released inside the Forward Operating Base can serve as your Thralls! As well as a chance for special prisoner who will act as a temporary store in gratitude to sell you special items and resources to help you in future Purges! (With a new Vendor interface!)
      • Including Mercenary Banners that will spawn Mercenary Allies to assist you in battle!
    • New challenges are implemented:
      • Defeat 1 Strong player focused Purge enemy.
      • Defeat 5 Strong player focused Purge enemies.
      • Defeat 10 Strong player focused Purge enemies.
      • Defeat a Purge wave.
      • Defeat all Purge waves.
      • Defeat a Purge Boss.
  • Loot Revamp
    • NPCs now have a change of dropping their actually worn equipment and weapon/s
    • Camp chests now grant better, more interesting, and more usable loot. Gone are the days of finding plant-fiber and stone in chests. In addition, loot-chests are now much more contextual and will grant you Darfari-related loot while in a Darfari-camp, etc.
    • Various interactables can now be found in some of the camps. This already was the case for Siptah, but we have now added several interactables to camps in the Exiled Lands as well.
    • Dungeons have been tweaked to fit this paradigm as well – loot in dungeons are now more exciting, and dungeons have had several tweaks to them in order to make them more interesting; adding optional bosses, adjusting loot drops from bosses, adding traps, and so forth.
    • Legendary chests no longer spawn in the world next to so-called World Bosses. Instead, you may find legendary chests at the end of dungeons.
    • The Library of Esoteric Knowledge and the Voidforge no longer grants completely random recipes. Instead, the system is deterministic and will give you a recipe that you do not have.
    • Black Ice weapons no longer require hardened steel weapons as a crafting ingredient
    • Added various grinder/fluid press recipes for plants and seeds that did not have them before.
  • Dungeon Tweaks
    • Dungeons have been tweaked to fit this paradigm as well; loot in dungeons is now more exciting!
    • Dungeons have had several tweaks to them in order to make them more interesting; adding optional bosses, adjusting loot drops from bosses, adding traps, and so forth.
  • Age of War Chapter 2 Battle Pass includes new pets, armor, emotes, and more! The rewards will let you personalize your very own treasure room, as if you were a rich Turanian Prince.
  • Age of War Chapter 2 Bazaar includes new pets, armor, emotes, and more!
  • Support for upcoming Twitch Drops campaigns. Keep an eye on our social channels for more dates and details!
  • Players are no longer able to place multiple doors inside of a single doorframe
  • The Construction Hammer can no longer be used to dismantle buildings during the purge.
  • Placeables have been reduced in weight. In addition, building pieces that should’ve been set to 1.5 weight were not always, and this is now fixed.
  • The player is no longer damaged when crafting rough wraps while at full HP.
  • Black Ice Shield and Hardened Steel shield now require Shield Frames as part of their crafting recipe.
  • Crafting recipe for Iron and Steel Reinforcements now takes 10 seconds, instead of 20/60.
  • Added new ability for Humanoid characters to be able to rotate during the beginning motions of their attacks, allowing positioning and aiming adjustments briefly during the start of their attack animation
  • Changed hyperarmor (stagger immunity) to only exist for specific animations with visible high velocity or heavy animations (two handed weapon heavy attacks for example)
  • The slashing visual effects of one handed swords is now properly aligned with their model during sprint attacks.
  • Greater pets with skins will no longer deal less damage than their default counterparts.
  • Avatars damage is now properly considered PvP damage, meaning that players can only be damaged by avatars during raids or when otherwise considered a valid PvP target.
  • Fixed an issue where the Mitra avatar blueprint did not inherit proper damage variables.
  • Bows now do less damage the further the arrow travels.
  • Orbs now detonate instantly on impact, regardless of light/heavy attack use.
  • Javelins and missile weapons have had their damage increased.
  • Throwing axes have had their damage increased.
  • Rhino Mounts should now be visible.
  • Gave the Moss Rocknose its attacks back.
  • Rocknoses should no longer appear invisible.
  • Asked Warmaker Klael politely, but firmly, to remain standing (NPC is no longer sitting).
  • Totemic Wolves are now properly visible when placed.
  • Thralls and NPCs will now face their original placed direction after returning to their post.
  • NPCs will no longer be locked into the same attack if the player moves out of their range between attacks.
  • The Steel Thewed perk now prevents your character from taking more than 33% damage per hit instead of 25%.
  • Last Stand now lasts 3 seconds, reduced from 6.
  • Priests can no longer summon a “god bubble” (God Protection).
  • Avatars now last 10 times as long but do 10 times less damage with their attacks.
  • Trebuchet Health Increased from 5000 to 10000. Crafting times for Trebuchets greatly decreased (to a total of 10 minutes). Non-explosive barrages now also do a smaller amount of splash damage.
  • Damage from Wight Minibosses in the Winecellar has been reduced.
  • Dismantling legendary items will now give back 100% of their dismantle value, regardless of their durability.
  • Tools no longer damage resources that they cannot harvest.
  • Vendors at Mek-Kamoses have been instructed that players do not need a secret pass phrase to purchase the last item in their inventory. They will now properly show all items they offer for sale at all times.
  • It’s now possible to relinquish control over an avatar by pressing the Crouch button.
  • Players can now spend attribute points more quickly.
  • Sandstorm damage is now listed in the stats page debuff entry for players on dedicated servers.
  • Purge journey is now available on maps other than Exiled Lands.
  • Legendary loot-chests are now more visually distinct from other loot-chests.
  • Improved the visual quality of grass in several portions of the map.
    • This change is still being worked on and some areas of the map may show some visual imperfection. This will be improved in a future patch.
  • Attempting to create a clan using a name that is already taken will no longer prevent the player from creating another clan.
  • Fixed visuals in Crystalline Visage boots.
  • Player will no longer take damage when jumping above the Sandstone Fence.
  • The sandstorm will no longer spawn inside of the Sunken City dungeon.
  • Fixed an issue where, after removing a Master Reinforcement Kit with a Prying Kit, no further modifications could be applied to the item.
  • Reverted the durability reduction for Prying kits from 30 to 50% to prevent exploit with infinite durability.
  • Fixed an issue where The Impaler had much too low durability (400) – it now has 4200 as intended.
  • Lowered the weight of the Poitain Heavy Lances.
  • Decreased stats for Steel weapon Journey rewards.
  • Increased stats for “Perfected Hardened Steel Sword” journey reward.
  • The Homesteader journey should now unlock after completing the first journey of a map.
  • The “O Sleeper Awake” achievement/trophy can now be properly completed even if the relevant journey is not active.
  • Acquire Silver Journey Step in the Potion Maker journey now triggers on getting silver ore even if the source is not harvesting.
  • Dismantling Explosive Jars now yields the proper resources.
  • Added map marker for the exit cave of “The Passage” dungeon.
  • Made recipe book at the end of “The Dregs” dungeon visible.
  • Letting go and re-grabbing a wall will no longer repeatedly play the equip animation.
  • Simm’s Khopesh now has a proper description.
  • Akbitanan Throwing Knife is now properly marked as a Legendary item.
  • Star Metal Ore now lists the recipe for Star Metal Ingots in its item description.
  • Stygian Commander set now properly marked as Heavy Armor.
  • Changed “Move & Guard” thrall icon.
  • Removed outdated and deprecated loading screen tips.
  • Updated icons for Moving and Removing placeables and thralls to make them more consistent.
  • Fixed description for Tablet of power.

    • Destiny 2 will be brought offline for expected maintenance.
    • Players will be removed from activities and won’t be able to log back in until 10 AM PDT.
    • Ongoing Destiny maintenance is expected to conclude at 12 PM PDT.

    • The latest Destiny 2 Update will be available across all platforms and regions.
    • Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2.
    • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
    • Clan features may remain offline until maintenance is complete.

    • Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Crafting System, Parry, File Size, FF7R Save Files Will Receive Summon Materia and More Details Revealed

Square Enix has revealed a ton of info regarding its upcoming RPG, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth! Not only do we know the game’s total file size (which is 150GB spread over two discs), but stuff like the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth crafting system, parry system and more have been confirmed as well.

Read on for a ton more info about the game including where the story ends, confirmation of Performance and Graphics modes and more. Interestingly enough, those who played Final Fantasy 7 Remake and have a save file in their console, Square Enix will reward you with an unknown Summon Materia at the start of the game.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth New Gameplay Details:

  • Performance mode and Graphics mode confirmed
  • Game will come on 2 discs, 150GB total
  • Same action-packed combat as the first game with the Synergy system being the major new addition
  • Parry confirmed
  • Swimming confirmed
  • Crafting confirmed; you can craft healing items like Potions and Phoenix Downs.
  • You can play as Sephiroth
  • Main story will be roughly 35-40 hours (a little longer than the first game)
  • Every character now has a dodge by default
  • Exploration seems to be a big highlight. If you spot a pirate ship in the distance you can swim to it and find secret treasure.
  • Hit R1 to call your Chocobo in the open world
  • Chocobos can swim, fly, scale mountains, sniff out buried treasure, and more
  •  If you spot a baby Chocobo, follow it to unlock a fast travel point and some new cosmetics for your mount
  • Story will end at The Forgotten Capital
  • Red XIII is now fully playable with a unique combat system
  • Working on FF7R and Intergrade helped the team familiarize with PS5 for faster development
  • The story runs up to the end of the Forgotten Capital (The City of the Ancients)
  • Players with FF7R save files will receive an “unknown summon materia at the start of Rebirth”
  • Expanded minigames: for example Cloud can collect soldiers and decide how to arrange them in Rufus Shinra’s inauguration parade for different outcomes
  • Vincent Valentine will join your party but isn’t playable (implied that will happen in Part 3)

There’s also 18 minutes of new gameplay footage available below, which features combat, dialogue and more.

FF7 Rebirth will be released this February 29, 2024 exclusively on the PS5.

Octopath Traveler 2 Xbox and Windows Store Versions Announced

Square Enix has announced the Octopath Traveler 2 Xbox and Windows Store versions during the Microsoft TGS 2023 stream, and it is set to arrive in early 2024.

The game made its debut on PlayStation, Steam, and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, enjoying robust sales. However, Xbox players were left in suspense due to lack of details. Now, the wait is over, we finally know it is coming and here’s a new trailer offering a glimpse of the gameplay on Xbox.

The game features a captivating narrative woven from the tales of eight distinct characters, each possessing their own unique stories, abilities, and aspirations. As you journey across the continent with these characters, you will encounter several challenges, all in pursuit of fulfilling their ambitions.

Here’s an overview of the story by Square Enix:

The story takes place in Solistia, a land comprising an eastern and western continent divided by the sea. It is a bustling era, wherein large vessels navigate busy sea routes and the power of steam gives birth to new technologies.

Some people thrill to glamorous stars of the stage and industry, while others are brought to tears by war, plague, and poverty. In this faraway realm, eight travelers hailing from different regions venture forth for their own reasons. Step into their shoes and explore the land as you see fit.

Wild Hearts Update 1.033 for September 21 Released

Developer Omega Force has released Wild Hearts update 1.033 today on all platforms. This is an unannounced patch, although it should come with some improvements and bug fixes. Read on for the new Wild Heart September 21 patch notes.

You’ll notice a game update rolling through that includes some fixes in a couple of areas designed to improve overall stability. It’s hard to believe we’ve hit our eighth month of hunting together and we’d like to thank you all for being on this journey with us.

For both new and returning hunters alike, we also wanted to remind you that the team is continuing to provide regular maintenance to WILD HEARTS to ensure the game will keep running smoothly in single and multiplayer modes. Now, to today’s patch…

These fixes include:

  • Fixed an issue where an autosave would fail under certain conditions, causing the game to crash.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash in rare cases.

Neither EA nor Omega Force have posted any official patch notes for today’s Wild Hearts update. There are chances some details are to be revealed later today or in the near future.

We’ll be sure to update this post as soon as we can if or when official patch notes are released for the game.

My Hero Ultra Rumble Releases Sept. 28 on Consoles and PC

Bandai Namco and developer Byking have announced that the free-to-play battle royale My Hero Ultra Rumble will be making its way to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 28, 2023.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that Eijiro Kirishima, Ibara Shiozaki, and Momo Yaoyorozu will be featured as playable characters in the game.

Byking has also shared some tidbits on what to expect from My Hero Ultra Rumble:

  • Join a group of 3 to face off in an 8-team battle royale.
  • Play as your favorite heroes and villains from the MY HERO series, with new characters added every season.
  • Kirishima, Yaoyorozu, and Shiozaki join the fight, and all characters from the OBT return as well.
  • Personalize with costumes, emotes, and more.
  • Join an agency with your friends and fight to become number one.

The game launches for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on September 28, 2023.

RE4 Update 1.100 for September 21 Brings Separate Ways DLC and New Mercenaries Content (Update)

Capcom has released (Resident Evil 4) RE4 update 1.100 on all platforms, and this is for the Separate Ways DLC drop featuring Ada Wong, and also an update to the base game via a free Mercenaries mode content drop. Read up on what’s new in the RE4 patc notes for September 21 below.

Crystal Dynamics Suffers Layoffs as a Result of Failed Embracer Deal

The Embracer cuts don’t stop coming. Today on Twitter, Crystal Dynamics announced that layoffs had occurred at the company as a result of Embracer’s recent downsizing. This follows recent news of the video game holding company’s plans to sell Gearbox.

The tweet, which posted on Crystal Dynamics’ official account, can be seen here:

As the tweet states, 9 brand/marketing employees and 1 IT employee were let go from their positions within the company earlier this morning. Among these employees was Senior Community and Social Manager Neha Nair, who had this to say on Twitter:

There isn’t an easy way to say this so I’ll just rip the bandaid off because while I’m still processing, life unfortunately does not pause…

After 3.5 years at @CrystalDynamics, I was laid off today. I’d appreciate any Sr. level Community & Social Media positions in gaming.

Senior Brand Manager Nick Edwards also took to Twitter to inform the internet of his being laid off:

Sadly the Embracer layoffs keep coming and I and a number of talented brand/marketing folks at Crystal are impacted.

It’s really unfortunate to see the scope of damage that Embracer’s failed deal has caused. It’s never easy to see people lose their jobs, and it’s an especially prevalent issue in the gaming industry due to the general instability of it all. Just last week, we saw the team behind Immortals of Aveum get chopped nearly in half due to the game’s poor release numbers.

Fingers crossed that Embracer can recover soon and prevent any further job losses. In the meantime, stay tuned into us here at MP1st to keep up to date on everything we learn about Embracer’s restructuring.

XDefiant Release Date Update Confirms Delay From Summer Launch Window, Devs Explain Situation

Following last week’s XDefiant release date update where the devs revealed the game could potentially miss its summer launch window, the delay is now official.

Over on Twitter, XDefiant Producer Mark Rubin shared that while the game is in the Final Submission phase, there are still some bugs and issues the dev team found that they think are important enough to fix before launch.

XDefiant Release Date Update as of Sept. 20:

Hello XDefiant Fans! Another update for you! I’ve got a couple of things to discuss so be sure to read everything. So let’s get started.

As I mentioned in my previous post, we are currently in our Final Submission phase and because we did the First Submission we are in a much better position to do well on our Final Submission. We still need to wait and see of course, but the process is really well documented and controlled both at Ubisoft and the 1st parties. MS and Sony really have this down to a science which makes our jobs as Devs much easier.

As I mentioned in my last post, the submission phase is really about compliance and functionality of platform specific services and interactions. And while that has been a big focus for us we are also still looking at the game for any issues that we would not want to ship with. Again, that is being done by our internal QA/QC teams. The final report from the 1st parties is due soon but we still want to fix some bugs/issues that have been found that we think are important enough to fix before launch. We are currently evaluating the work, running some more large-scale tests and will have an update for you once we know more.

So, for one, I’m personally very sorry that we didn’t hit the window that we had wanted. We are working to make the best game we can for our fans. Normally we wouldn’t be sharing all of this behind-the- scenes stuff but I think it’s in the spirit of what we’ve done in the past and I also hope there are people out there that are interested in game development and enjoy seeing behind the curtain. I admit we were aggressive on our expectations of when we could ship but that’s just because we are really excited about getting XDefiant to our fans!

That’s quite unfortunate, but understandable. I mean, while we do want to play XDefiant right now, we’d rather the shooter run as smooth as it can instead of being riddled with bugs.

With Rubin’s statement, it looks like an early to mid October launch is the earliest we’ll get to play the free-to-play shooter.

Mortal Kombat 1 Update for September 20 on PC Brings Performance Fixes

NetherRealm Studios has pushed out the Mortal Kombat 1 update for September 20 on PC, and this small download is to fix performance issues that’s been plaguing the game.

The performance issue some PC players experienced, which caused video stuttering in Story mode, has been resolved.

In addition, players on the Steam Deck will now see an increased font size on some screens creating better legibility.

UFC 5 Deep Dive Gameplay Video Breaks Down What to Expect in the Ring: Damage System Detailed

EA is feeding us well with MMA content. Today, a 20-minute UFC 5 Deep Dive Gameplay video dropped over on the official EA UFC YouTube channel, and it’s chock-full of information.

Before we break down what exactly we learned from the deep dive, here it is in all its glory:

Most of the features in this video have been covered by us before, but we did get a little more detail on the game’s damage system. Here’s the nitty gritty:

  • Vision Penalties – After a fighter takes a hit to the face where bleeding might cause visual impairment, they player suffers increased damage on the affected side. This lifts after 30 seconds without further damage to that side, or at the end of the round.
  • Breathing Penalties – When a fighter is injured in the nose or mouth, the player’s stamina recovery decreases. Likewise, this also lifts after a 30 second period if the fighter takes no further hits to the affected area.
  • Stun Icons – Fighters can accumulate stun icons on their status bar after receiving health events to different parts of the body like their head, torso, or legs.
  • Health Icons – Similarly, athletes can suffer damage from submission moves. Deep chokes cause max stamina reduction, deep arm submissions cause max health reduction, and leg locks cause permanent leg health loss.

It’s great to see EA bring in members of the UFC gaming community to host this video. Hopefully it means that they’re listening to player feedback to make this game as tight as possible.

The Callisto Protocol Developer Striking Distance Loses Founder After Just One Game (Update)

While Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol had lofty ambitions, it didn’t exactly pan out according to plan. After laying off more than 30 employees last month, the studio’s founder and boss, Glen Schofield, has now officially departed the company alongside two other high-level members.

This was confirmed by a representative of parent company Krafton who said Schofield has “decided to pursue new opportunities.” Alongside Schofield, Striking Distance’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer are also departing the studio, which Krafton clarifies as voluntary.

Taking over is Steve Papoutsis, who is the studio’s Chief Development Officer. Papoutsis was a member of EA’s Viscera Games studio that worked on the Dead Space franchise, which was co-created by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey.

Striking Distance was founded in 2019 with their debut game The Callisto Protocol deemed as a spiritual successor to sci-fi horror game Dead Space. Unfortunately, the game didn’t exactly set the world on fire, with our own review stating that there is fun to be had even with the “sometimes enragingly-unfair fights and odd story pacing.”

Update: Krafton has reached out and sent over a press release announcing the transition, as well as Schofield’s complete statement.

After successfully founding Striking Distance Studios, Glen Schofield has decided to pursue new opportunities. Steve Papoutsis, who previously served as Chief Development Officer and General Manager for SDS, Chief Operating Officer at Baobab Studios, and Vice President, General Manager, and Executive Producer at Electronic Arts, has been appointed CEO of the studio.

There is no better person than Steve to guide SDS through this transition. His long professional collaboration with Glen extends all the way back to when they first worked together at Crystal Dynamics in the late ’90s before reuniting at Visceral Games.

Glen’s contributions during his time at KRAFTON have been invaluable. He built an ace team of talents at SDS and set a high standard for the work they did together every day. We’re confident in the team’s continued success because of the significant impact Glen has had, and for that we owe him our deepest gratitude.

“Creating Striking Distance Studios has been an incredible journey and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved with The Callisto Protocol, a game close to my heart. While pursuing a new adventure is exciting, leaving SDS is bittersweet, but I know the studio is in excellent hands. Steve and I go way back to working at Visceral Games. I saw how successful he was in taking the reins after my departure then and how he continued the studio’s success and growth. That’s how I know he’s the one to lead the studio into its next chapter.”

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 6 Starts September 27, Spawn to Make His Call of Duty Debut

After being leaked through the gaming airwaves, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone are about to get a little spooky with Spawn. Spawn, the popular Hellspawn from Image Comics, is finally making an appearance as Season 6 approaches. Not only does this confirm the leak but players can now anticipate the beginning of Season 6, which will kicjk off on September 27, 2023. The Call of Duty Spawn skin is only the beginning, for Halloween is just right around the corner.

Thanks to a recent tweet from the official Call of Duty Twitter (now rebranded simply as “X”), the rumors of a Call of Duty Spawn skin have come to fruition for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. While details are scarce, players can expect more than one Hellspawn to check out once Season 6 commences. The tweet provides two images organized into one: the left with a solo Al Simmons transforming into the titular Spawn, and the other depicting three Hellspawns.

The tweet reads: “Spawn is summoned/ The underworld rises to Call of Duty in Season 06 on September 27.” Indeed, Call of Duty Season 6 drops this September 27, 2023, roughly a week from now. This ultimately means that Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 is quickly coming to an end, so be sure to log back in for any missed treats that you can get your hands on.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 will act as the final season for the game. This will help ring in the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Players can anticipate its launch on November 10, 2023, for current-gen, last-gen, and PC platforms. This includes PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows.
