At the Summer Game Fest today, Ubisoft has unveiled Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, a sidescroller game featuring a new character on a quest to rescue Prince Ghassan after he is abducted. The game will release on January 18, 2024 on PC, consoles, and Amazon Luna.
Watch the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown trailer below:
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown follows a new character tasked to rescue the Prince after his abduction in a side-scroller format with 3D animations, special finishers, unique bosses, and much more. The game will be fully showcased at Ubisoft Forward on June 12. It will release January 18, 2024 on PC (through Epic and Ubisoft Store), Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Amazon Luna.
From the developers:
In this brand-new adventure, players will embody Sargon, a young, gifted warrior, member of an elite group called The Immortals. As they are sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, they will explore Mount Qaf, a once wondrous place, now cursed and hostile. Sargon and his brothers-in-arms will soon discover that time itself will be a treacherous foe and that the world balance must be restored.
Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown lets players explore a handcrafted world at their own pace. From the majestic Citadel of Knowledge to the colorful landscapes of the Hyrcanian Forest, players will discover a variety of environments inspired by Persian mythology. By acquiring new time powers, unlocking unique abilities and combining them in combat, Sargon will progressively delve deeper into Mount Qaf, solving puzzles, finding secrets, and completing exciting side quests.
In this epic journey, Sargon will fight his way through mythical enemies, larger-than-life bosses, and vicious traps. By combining combat and platforming skills, players will defeat time-corrupted creatures such as Jahandar, the dreadful Manticore, guardian of the Citadel. Players will be able to express their creativity in a deep and engaging combat system to trigger devastating combos.
While exploring this mythical place, players will be fully immersed thanks to the original soundtrack created by Mentrix. The Iranian-born composer mixes both traditional instruments and modern sounds to guide players from one environment to another. Mentrix will be joined by award-winning composer Gareth Coker bringing his own personal touch to convey the epic scale of the boss fights.

Ubisoft has revealed the For Honor Year 7 Season 2 release date and it’s on June 15! The upcoming Y7S2 season is called “Vengeance” and is inspired by stolen treasures from an exotic empire. It introduces a new civilization, brings visual changes to maps of the game, a new Hero Skin for Warmonger, a new Battle Pass and Battle Bundle, and much more.
Check out the trailer below:
Here’s a short description of For Honor’s Y7S2:
In Year 7 Season 2, after a conquistador Warmonger journeyed to a distant uncharted continent, her fleet of Horkos encountered a powerful civilization of fierce fighters. While this civilization would have made for powerful allies, the Conquistadors were drawn to their riches; they ambushed the people to capture the fiercest warrior from the New World. The season begins when Conquistador Vela returns to Heathmoor with the stolen riches of this fallen civilization.

This announcement was made via the official Battlefield Communications Twitter account, which also mentioned that this doesn’t affect Battle Pass, Mastery and Career Rank.
We are temporarily pausing any further tracking of profile stats for #Battlefield2042 while we investigate an issue.

Another thing DICE did today is increase the Conquest ticket number in Season 5 map, Reclaim. Now, players have a longer time to wage war, as tickets has been increased from 700 to 1000!
The round duration for Conquest matches on Reclaimed is lower than anticipated, and we’ve been hearing your feedback to increase the ticket count.
Reclaimed will now feature 1,000 tickets, up from its original count of 700.

Riot Games has released a new League of Legends developer update video, featuring Riot Brightmoon, Meddler, and 100 pc nuggets discussing updates to Ranked, Clash, the state of the Lee Sin and Teemo Art and Sustainability Updates (ASUs – visual reworks), and more. A new Emerald tier will be added between Platinum and Diamond to flatten the rank curve, and promos will be removed. Read on for a summary of all the changes and announcements below.
Given that most League players who engage in Ranked play fall between the Bronze and Silver tiers even though many in Silver are above average in skill, Riot will be reworking ranked distributions in Season 13 Split 2 in the summer to achieve a more even percentage split across tiers, centered at Gold. To prevent corresponding inflation in the Diamond tier, an Emerald tier is being introduced between Platinum and Diamond that will represent a roughly similar proportion of players as Platinum currently does.
Additionally in Split 2, a partial Ranked reset will see players placed into higher ranks than typical Ranked resets would. Placement games will be shortened from 10 games to five, and this change will be carried over into the next season. The Promotion Series will now be removed, meaning that players will be able to progress directly through tiers as soon as they have accumulated enough LP.
Clash:
The frequency of Clash tournaments will be reduced to roughly one tournament a month (with two clash days per tournament) from the previous biweekly schedule, with the total number of Clash tournaments this year now standing at 14 weekends down from 20 in 2022.
Clash Capsule and Orb rewards will now be given out on the basis of a team’s total wins throughout a given tournament, as opposed to its final placement. A comparison of the old and new reward systems is as follows:
Due to the reduction in the frequency of tournaments, the amount of Victory Points (VP) per win has been doubled, while the amount of VP required for each reward remains the same.
Reward
Victory Points Required
Banner Level 1
400 VP
Theme Logo 1
600 VP
Banner Level 2
100 VP
Banner Level 3
1400 VP

2000 VP
Owing to the success of the ARAM Clash held in 2022, Riot will now be conducting one or two non-Summoner’s Rift Clash tournaments each year.
The Clash 2023 Split 2 schedule has now been revealed:
Clash Tournament
Lock-In Begins

Lee Sin and Teemo Visual Reworks:
The ASUs for Lee Sin and Teemo are now slated for release in 2024, with Lee Sin’s ASU coming out in the first half of the year while Teemo’s will release in the second half. The long development period has been attributed to the sheer number of unique skins both Champions have. For more information on the ASUs, check out the official blog post from the ASU team that details their vision and goals with both updates.
Miscellaneous Updates:
Star Guardian Seraphine and Orianna will be available in Patch 13.13 and Star Guardian Senna will be available in 13.14.
Redeemed Xayah and Rakan will be released towards the end of this year.
Taliyah and Ashe will receive the next Crystalis Motus skins later this year.
The first Ranked split ends on July 17, server time. Ranked will reopen on July 19.
Many of these changes – as detailed above – will go live with the beginning of Season 13 Split 2 on July 19. Stay tuned here at MP1st for all upcoming news and announcements about League of Legends.

Like clockwork, Tour de France 2023 is here for another round of cycling in one of the most popular events in the world. Cyanide keeps on adding onto what could be considered the best cycling simulation series, but the focus is more on building on the previous chapter than throwing it all away to start anew. As a result, this is a competent and extremely deep game that will please fans with the latest stats and a few additions, but it won’t significantly change what existed in the past and will be a hard sell for those who have played the previous edition.
Another Year, Another Tour
While the idea of pedaling nearly 200 kilometers at a time through various stages of varying difficulty may not sound like the most exciting prospect, there are intricate systems at work that marry arcade and tactical gameplay with relative finesse. This game is not to be confused with Pro Cycling Manager 2023, the management-focused companion of Tour de France 2023, although the latter still comes with a minor dose of rider and team supervision to do, with its cyclist and team manager modes.
Going through the training stages is crucial as there are some twists to bike control and team commands, since in the end you only play a small part in the grand scheme of things. You won’t be able to perform well until you fully understand how to properly manage your energy with the help of feeds, team comms, effort management, following, slipstreaming, and more. The gameplay loop revolves around keeping a close eye on your current position and energy, saving it for the sprint sectors and final stretch, along with syncing your efforts with your teammates through some well-timed decisions, going for the decisive bike throw right at the finish line. You can even switch to another rider of your squad, another way of stressing that each race is a combined team effort, and no element alone will be able to succeed.
Two meters, blue and red, will draw your attention during each stage. The blue one represents your overall effort as you pedal, while the red one denotes the strong attack power and your last resort as you push to overexertion, the blowup point where slowing down isn’t optional, but enforced. Consuming the feeds will restore some of your energy, but you only a few more to pick up as you pass the feed zone. Going downhill is another way to recover your energy, so pay close attention to the elevations during the race.
Since each stage is less about going for a breakaway and more about keeping your footing in the peloton for the final moments, there will be some fast-forwarding to do, an option that luckily is available. The tactical options, as important as they are, may be saved for the important parts of the stage, as the rider’s abilities also play a significant role in the overall performance, with medium mountain and agility ratings added for this edition. Ultimately, you may not gain any visible advantage from pedaling all those virtual kilometers versus what the fast-forward option will do for you, as the peloton won’t cut you any slack.
I Like to Ride My Bicycle
While the Race of the Moment challenge was introduced in the previous iteration, this year sees the inclusion of Downhill of the Moment. As the name implies, these are downhill stretches that require a great knowledge of this type of stage, and you will be able to compare your results to other players all over the world.
Rider trajectories and collisions are part of the improvements, but it doesn’t feel quite satisfying and realistic as one would expect from a sport where small impacts may cause massive position shuffling and even crashes in the group of riders. In this regard, Tour de France 2023 remains underwhelming, with unconvincing collisions and even less interesting crashes, which are nothing but a single animation where the rider suddenly comes to a halt and drops to the floor on the spot, without any influence of speed, collision angle or obstacle type. The stages are also limited to the main track, with no possibility of getting out of the path even by a single inch, everything around you being nothing but scenery behind invisible walls.
Graphics in Tour de France 2023 are nothing to write home about, and they are mostly lifted from the previous editions. While it’s understandable that the environments aren’t richly detailed due to the amount of work that it would take for an updated rendition of several cities, it’s in the rider department that this ends up feeling like a disappointment. This year, once again, the riders are nothing but clones of each other with slight skin tone variations, something that is the more noticeable during the end of race award ceremony, as these clones step up to receive their prizes… from the same two girls that did it last year.
It’s fair to say that with the above examples and the occasional clipping through road barriers and spectators that get on the road, Tour de France 2023 doesn’t really improve much in this area.
And improvement may turn out to be the keyword in Tour de France 2023. It’s difficult to ignore aspects such as the visually identical riders, the lack of something as influential as any hint of dynamic weather, and the very alike structure comparing to last year’s release. Still, this remains an engaging and tactical experience for enthusiasts who are searching for a game that recreates the grueling and unique sport, but eventually the series will soon need the serious upgrade that fans have been demanding.
Score: 7/10
Pros:
An involving and deep cycling experience
Demanding tactical aspects
Team manager and cyclist career options
Cons:
Still the same visually identical riders
Collisions are far from realistic
Lack of overall improvements from previous edition
Resident Evil Village has hit 8 million in unit sales. Capcom took to Twitter to announce the new milestone for the direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, stating that Village has surpassed sold more than 8 million copies since its initial release in 2021.
Find the full announcement below:
Resident Evil Village has just surpassed 8 million units sold! We owe this to all of our amazing fans. Thank you so much!
「バイオハザード ヴィレッジ」の販売本数が800万本を突破しました!素晴らしいファンの皆様の応援のおかげです。本当にありがとうございました!
In other Resident Evil news, Capcom sent players a survey asking which title from the franchise they should remake next last week. This makes sense as Resident Evil 4 remake was an instant hit. In April, Capcom unveiled that Resident Evil 4 remake surpassed 4 million units sold in under a month, while the Resident Evil series topped 125 million.
With this new update in Resident Evil Village’s sales, it’s safe to assume that the figure has even exceeded the already impressive 125 million mark.

Tactical Gear:
We’re turning Tactical Gear into essential items by bestowing them a new purpose, enhancing their significance beyond consumable options. Experience the game in a multitude of ways with this update, whether playing individually or as part of a team. From beginners to veterans, the renewed Tactical Gear can foster a sense of achievement among all players by enabling them to contribute to the success of their squad.
※ This update applies to only Normal Matches, Intense Battle Royale mode, and Custom Matches (Normal Match, Intense Battle Royale).
Players will be equipped with a Tactical Gear Carrierin their Inventory at the start of each match.
To ensure the Carrier does not hinder initial game progress after landing, we’ve set the Tactical Gear Carrier weight to 0.
Open the Carrier to select your desired Tactical Gear from all available options – EMT Gear, Tactical Pack, Spotter Scope, Drone, Blue Chip Detector, or the Repair Kit.
The Carrier cannot be opened when you’re in a vehicle or on top of static transport features such as trains and ships.
The selected Tactical Gear will be fitted into a dedicated sixth slot reserved for Tactical Gear.
Once equipped, the Tactical Gear cannot be removed.
Tactical Gear nor the Carrier will not be dropped when a player dies.
Upon a player’s death the Tactical Gear/Tactical Gear Carrier are removed.
Players recalled to the match will not be provided a new Tactical Gear Carrier.
All world-spawned Tactical Gear has been removed.
Radio Message
Can be used to relay information about the selected Tactical Gear of team members.
Upon equipping a Tactical Gear, a Radio Message is triggered for notification.
“Equipping (Tactical Gear)”.
Training Mode
Players can remove Tactical Gear from their sixth Inventory slot in Training Mode only to allow for more diverse practice.
Both Tactical Gear and the Tactical Gear Carrier are provided via the Training Helper.
We also strive to maintain the fundamental system of Tactical Gear while rebalancing their overall stats this update as Tactical Gear have changed to a basic, required item for all:
EMT Gear:
To primarily serve the purpose of team healing rather than self-healing, the healing feature will only apply to team members. Additionally, to balance the overly beneficial healing effects when using heal items, the usage time of heal items has been adjusted to the following:
Med Kit usage time: 3 seconds → 7 seconds.
First Aid Kit usage time: 3 seconds → 5 seconds.
In addition, the revival speed of teammates has been changed from 3 seconds → 8 seconds to prevent overly quick recoveries in tense scenarios.
Using Energy Drinks or Painkillers will now provide a 50% additional effect.
This boost will only be for personal use and does not apply to teammates.
Tactical Pack:
Attachment slots decreased from 4 slots → 2 slots.
We wish to give the Tactical Pack a similar feel to a Level 4 Backpack. Therefore, the reduction of slots is aimed at moderating the possession of individual items such as firearms (excluding stackable items).
Spotter Scope:
Improved for more straightforward and less time-consuming use.
Its magnification capabilities are now adjustable from 4x to 8x, allowing for more detailed observations.
The creation of the white passive marker is removed. The red active marker will be automatically created and maintained for 7 seconds after a scan.
The standard Screen Pings can also be placed while using the Spotter Scope.
Drone:
Maximum range has been reduced from 300m → 200m.
Blue Chip Detector:
The Blue Chip Detector has been perceived as an overperforming gear. Therefore, it has been decided to receive several adjustments to harmonize it with other Tactical Gear.
Screen update frequency: 5 seconds → 8 seconds.
Enemy scan radius: 100m → 50m.
Players who are equipped with a Jammer Pack are undetectable with the Blue Chip Detector.
< Dev’s Comment >
Following the initial introduction of Tactical Gear, we have observed their considerable utility in gameplay. However, we also understand the magnitude of the decision players are faced with in sacrificing a primary weapon slot for Tactical Gear, particularly in battle scenarios where mid-to-long range combat is crucial. As such, with the renewal of the Tactical Gear system, we eagerly anticipate witnessing our players’ varied gameplay strategies!
For example, for solo play, we look forward to see players utilizing a strategy centered around their chosen Tactical Gear, which you’d select to complement your primary weapon. You may opt for a slow-burn approach with the EMT Gear, spending more time looting and gradually entering the Safe Zone. The Drone and Blue Chip Detector can help with a strategy that involves quick penetration of the center area, swiftly identifying incoming enemies. And the Tactical Pack could suit those favoring weapons with high ammo consumption. As for the Spotter Scope, it may be ideal for players selecting weapons aimed at precise long-distance engagement.
As for team play, we anticipate strategic looting that aligns with team dynamics while avoiding overlapping roles. Each teammate would have a distinct role, contributing effectively to the team’s primary goal. Utilize the Drone and Spotter Scope for ordering and coordination. Or the Spotter Scope could enhance accuracy for those sharpshooters. The EMT Gear and Tactical Pack may also be helpful to novice players, so they could actively contribute to team survival, or even the Blue Chip Detector for optimal information delivery.
With this change, we are also committed to implementing constraints that are proportional to in-game performance – we do not aim to unfairly boost the abilities of already-skilled players. With this in mind, we’ve made it so that once a Tactical Gear is selected, it becomes irreplaceable. Players are required to use their chosen equipment consistently throughout the match. We have also proceeded with an overall balance update.

The current Helmet/Armor Repair Kits and Mechanic’s Toolbox seemed to have limited applications in specific circumstances – therefore, we’re merging them into asingle versatile Repair Kit that can repair Helmets, Vests, and vehicles. With this multipurpose tool, you can now consider the possibility of pursuing the role of your team’s go-to mechanic.
※ This update applies to only Normal Matches, Intense Battle Royale mode, and Custom Matches (Normal Match, Intense Battle Royale).
The Repair Kit is no longer a consumable, and is now a part of Tactical Gear that can be equipped to your Tactical Gear slot.
Once equipped, it cannot be replaced or removed until the match concludes.
The Repair Kit can be utilized up to 10 times.
You can use the Repair Kit via the Limited Interact key.
A single use on a Helmet or Vestwill restore its durability to 100 in 6 seconds.
You can repair not just your own Helmet/Vest, but those equipped by your teammates or those found lying on the floor.
A single use on a vehicle restores 500 durability in 8 seconds.
You are only able to repair a vehicle that can be interactedwith.
The repair process will be canceled under the following circumstances:
If the character carrying out the repair, or the subject undergoing the repair, moves using the movement keys.
Once the preceding repair of the same Helmet/Vest/vehicle is complete.
If another player picks up the Helmet/Vest from the ground during the repair.
New feature: Removing and installing tires
When the Repair Kit is equipped, you can use the Limited Interact Key to remove tires from any vehicle.
Tires that have burst with 0 durability cannot be removed.
Interacting with a vehicle will display the remaining durability of the tire.
Removing a tire requires a certain amount of time.
Successful removal causes the tire to drop to the ground.
Tires weigh 20 each.
Tires will go to your Inventory’s fourth melee weapon slot.
If the fourth slot is occupied, the tire will move to the Inventory.
Swapping to the weapon in the fourth slot will result in your character holding the tire.
You cannot remove or install tires to the BRDM, Boat, Aquarail, Mountain Bike, Motor Glider, Airboat, or Snowmobile.
Any player can install removed tires on a vehicle, even without a Repair Kit.
Upon approaching a vehicle without a tire, tire installation requires a certain amount of time.
The removal/installation process will be canceled under the following circumstances:
If the vehicle is driven during the installation process.
If the position of the vehicle changes due to a collision or other during the installation process.
If another tire on the vehicle during tire removal receives damage.
The existing Helmet/Armor Repair Kits and Mechanic’s Toolbox have been removed
Emergency Pickup, BZ Grenade, Jammer Pack, Mortar, and Panzerfaust:
Will now world spawn in all 8×8 maps.
This applies to Normal, Ranked, and Custom Matches (including Esports mode).
The spawn rate of the Emergency Pickup in both Normal Match and Ranked on Erangel and Miramar maps has been reduced by 30%.
World – Vikendi:
After the Vikendi Reborn update last year, we’ve diligently monitored player trends and incorporated your valuable feedback into the latest update.
Terrain:
We have tactically upgraded those locations – excluding major cities – that, according to live data, have proven to be the most unfeasible for engagement or where cover was particularly scarce by adding new objects and ridgelines, offering more opportunities for strategic cover.
Phase:
The initiative Blue Zone ruleset similar as Ranked’s for Normal Matches introduced back in Update #23.1 has been applied to Vikendi, effectively reducing the overall playtime.
Item Spawn:
Vikendi’s Normal Matches typically feature an array of special item spawn spots, leading to an excess of high-value items. To prevent disproportionate looting of these items, we’ve recalibrated the balance. The spawn rates of high-value weapons and items have been scaled down to also mitigate the disparity in the play experience with Ranked matches.
Lab Camp
The probability of finding lucky Supply Drops (holding Care Package weapons) have been boosted.
However, a marginal downgrade has been made in the quality of items.
A significant reduction has been made in the appearance rate of Care Package weapons and Level 3 equipment.
Critical Response Kits will now exclusively appear in Lab Camps, with an increased spawn rate.
Caves
The quantity and quality of items discoverable in caves’ Supply Drops have been downgraded.
A significant reduction has been made in the appearance rate of Care Package weapons and Level 3 equipment.
8x Scopes, Critical Response Kits, and C4 have been removed from caves’ Supply Drops.
Secret Room
Acquisition of the Self-AED is now restricted to Secret Rooms, except for the rare chance of looting it as a world spawn item.
The Thermal 4x Scope will now only be available as a world spawn item, in Care Packages, and caves’ Supply Drops. It has been removed from Lab Camp and Secret Rooms.
The following changes have also been made to align with the ruleset of other maps.
ARs, SMGs, Handguns, Crossbows, Grenades, Smoke Grenades, Stun Grenades, and First Aid Kits will spawn slightly more.
SRs, LMGs, Backpack (Level 1), Molotovs, BZ Grenades, C4, Emergency Pickups, Bandages, Med Kits, and Adrenaline Syringes will spawn slightly less.
Vehicle Spawn:
In terms of transportation, we noted that vehicle usage in Vikendi was lower compared to other maps, so we’ve amplified vehicle spawn spots and appropriately adjusted existing spawn locations.
Blizzard Zone:
The duration of the Blizzard Zone has been increased by approximately 70%.
The number of snowstorms appearing in a Blizzard Zone has increased.
The distance between snowstorms has decreased.
The phases when Blizzard Zones occur during a match have been adjusted.
Cable Car:
Player feedback concerning the rather sluggish speed of Vikendi’s Cable Cars was noted, leading to a significant speed enhancement. This adjustment now allows for better encounters during transit, with an overall speed increase of 80%.
Comeback BR:
Map
We have improved player’s vulnerability by relocating existing objects to the back.
Item spawn spots have been added near player spawn locations for an optimized start.
Made containers more accessible by repositioning some containers and adding wooden pallets.
Combat time
Reduced combat time from 160 seconds to 100 seconds.
The Play Area restriction time has been adjusted to accommodate the reduced combat time.
The multidrops will descend earlier.
To prevent the decreasing survival rate as the number of participants increases during the later phases of Comeback BR, each size of the final Play Area for each phase has been adjusted.
The UI notifications for Comeback BR have improved.
Crowbar Interaction:
Increased spawn rate for cabinets.
A storage unit specifically designed for Crowbars has been added to garages that are accessible with a Crowbar. This storage unit has a high probability of containing a Crowbar.
Simultaneously, we’ve slightly diminished the appearance rate for Secret Room Security Keys.
However, we’ve increased the spawn rates for items such as healing items and throwables.
Sound:
Reduced the volume of wind turbines by 40%, along with the audible range.
Minimap:
Minimap has been updated to mirror the above changes.
Ranked – Season 24:
The Jammer Pack, Mortar, Panzerfaust, BZ Grenade, and Emergency Pickup have been added to every map.
Vikendi has been added to the map pool with a 10% matchmaking probability.
Number of players: 64
Weather: Sunny
The Blizzard Zone, Lab Camp, Crowbar interaction feature and cabinets, Cable Cars, bears, and Supply Drops are available.
Weapons only available in Care Packages have been removed from Lab Camp and Supply Drops.
Comeback BR, Security Keys, Thermal 4x Scope are not available.
High-tier items have generally decreased.
BRDM vehicles can not be called with a Flare Gun from outside the circle.
The leaderboard will reset after the Live Server maintenance.
Check out your final Tier from the previous season through your Career page.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC price has seemingly leaked online. A listing for the upcoming DLC appeared on GOG and mentioned the DLC’s price (in euros, at least). Phantom Liberty listing appeared on GOG, which is ironically owned by CD Projekt Red, showing how the developer technically revealed it prematurely themselves.
The leaked listing suggests that Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC will cost 29.99€, which is roughly $34.99. However, the listing did not provide any details about the expansion or when it will be available for players. Before the listing was taken down, Reddit user thebuffel had screengrabbed it and posted it online.
Fans have high expectations from Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC as it currently has the biggest developer team at CD Projekt Red, followed by Project Polaris and Sirius.
