The Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2 is now live, and players can attempt the raid in order to nab some sweet, sweet loot. Destiny 2 Lightfall’s Root of Nightmares raid rewards have already been discovered, with many of the rewards being Strand-type weapons.
Here’s the full loot table:

Mask of Detestation– Helmet
Boots of Detestation – Legs
Boots of Detestation – Legs
As you can see from the list, the majority of weapons are Strand-type, which makes sense given the fact that it’s the newest damage type in the game. There are a few other weapons for other damage types, of course, including a Solar-type trace rifle called “Acasia’s Rejection” and an Exotic Stasis-type shotgun called “Conditional Finality.” The final encounter of the raid will reward players with any of the weapons from previous encounters and is the only encounter that drops Conditional Finality.
Unlike weapons, armor is scattered somewhat evenly across all encounters. You can get up to three different armor pieces during your first encounter, and you only need to make it to the third encounter in order to get the Bond of Detestation, the raid’s class item.
The recently released Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo seems to have a few secrets that players are starting to uncover. Alongside the game’s Mad Chainsaw Mode, which lets you take on a more challenging version of the RE4 demo, players have discovered a third firearm that you can use throughout their playthroughs. It’s the TMP submachine gun, and unlocking it is a fairly simple task.
Here’s how to unlock the TMP weapon in the Resident Evil 4 remake Chainsaw Demo.
Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo: How to Unlock the TMP Weapon
What is the TMP submachine gun?
The TMP is a submachine gun and is a secret firearm that you very likely missed during your first playthrough of the Resident Evil 4 remake demo. It’s a weapon from the original RE4 game that’s associated with Ada Wong for her use of the firearm. Steam user Vizixi reported the discovery of the TMP weapon on a Steam Community page.
Thanks to its rapid firing rate, the TMP can stagger and take down multiple enemies with ease, making it a very useful addition to your weapon arsenal, especially if you’re taking on Mad Chainsaw Mode. This is because once you complete the entire demo while you have the TMP in your inventory, you can keep it for all subsequent playthroughs, including Mad Chainsaw Mode playthroughs (via BltzZ).
How to unlock the TMP
To unlock the TMP, you simply have to discard all your inventory items before entering the village square. This includes all your weapons and other necessary items. Once you enter the square with nothing on you, head on over to the right side where you’ll find a path leading to a barn and a ladder that leads to some sort of tunnel. This tunnel is usually closed during normal playthroughs, but with no inventory on you, it will be open, allowing you to climb down the ladder.
Beneath the tunnel, you’ll find the TMP submachine gun in a chest, with ammo for the weapon inside some yellow barrels near the chest. You’ll also find a kitchen knife among these barrels.
Here’s a full playthrough that will walk you through unlocking the TMP from start to finish:
And that’s about it! Remember, once you finish the demo with this in your inventory, you get to keep it for subsequent playthroughs, so be sure to make it to the end if you want to make your Mad Chainsaw Mode attempts much easier.
Resident Evil 4 remake will be available this March 24 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
It’s official—Xbox won’t be physically present during this year’s E3 event. After an initial report that the game industry’s Big Three in Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo were set to be no-shows at E3, Xbox has finally confirmed the company’s physical absence via a spokesperson.
The spokesperson, who made the statement to IGN, revealed that instead of being present at the show floor, Xbox would be co-streaming its Xbox Games Showcase, to be held during E3’s digital portion of the event on June 11, which was also recently announced. This means that while Xbox technically isn’t absent from E3 entirely, those physically attending in Las Vegas won’t be seeing the company preparing anything on the show floor.
This statement follows a confirmation by Nintendo that the Japanese firm wouldn’t be at E3 as the event “didn’t fit” the company’s plans. Major game development studio Ubisoft has confirmed attendance via an investors call, however.
Alongside Xbox’s Games Showcase, E3 Digital will include various shows relating to gaming. Even if you’re not attending E3 in person, there may be some online events worth taking a look at. E3 Digital will begin on June 11, the same day as the Xbox Games Showcase, so if you’re planning on giving that a watch as it goes live, then mark your calendars.

While developer Mundfish has already confirmed that we’ll be seeing Atomic Heart DLC down the line, it seems the studio wants to rope in someone big to be part of it. Nope, it’s not just any celebrity, but the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
Over on Twitter, Mundfish founder Robert Bagratuni tagged Tesla boss Elon Musk’s account and asked if they can work together to integrate Tesla bots in Atomic Heart’s upcoming DLC, which was even retweeted by the official Atomic Heart/Mundfish account.
@elonmusk , I am the founder of Atomic Heart. Thanks! Let’s work together to integrate Tesla bots in the upcoming DLC! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/C46qG418eF
As of this writing, Elon has not issued any reply. But given he is a gamer, I wouldn’t be surprised if he does take Mundfish up on their offer. Would you play Atomic Heart’s DLC if Elon Musk was a part of it or would it make you not want to play it because of his involvement? Let us know down in the comments.
Just this week, new documents to the UK’s CMA (Compeition and Markets Authority) have surfaced regarding Microsoft’s proposed Call of Duty offer to Sony’s PlayStation division. While we couldn’t see the full offer because of redacted info, it seems that was Microsoft’s idea.
In a new statement by Sony, the company also states that Microsoft’s Call of Duty offer “will irreparably harm competition and innovation in the industry.”
“Redacted versions of the observations filed by SIE and Microsoft on the CMA’s remedies notice were made public this week. Information regarding the terms of an offer made by Microsoft to provide future Call of Duty releases on PlayStation was redacted at the request of Microsoft. We believe their current offer will irreparably harm competition and innovation in the industry.”
It looks like we’re far from this being over, as there’s also the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) that Microsoft has to convince to sign off on the planned acquisition as well.
Once we know more juicy info about this, we’ll let our readers know.
One of the most common concerns that players have over free-to-play titles with Player versus Environment (PvE) elements is that some of them can favor players who use paid features in order to gain gameplay advantages over players who haven’t spent on the game. Fortunately, upcoming action RPG Wayfinder’s monetization will apparently keep things “fair” for players.
In a recent press event Q&A by Airship Syndicate which MP1st was a part of, the developers were asked about Digital Extremes’ involvement with Wayfinder outside of publishing the title. For context, Digital Extremes are the developers behind Warframe, another free-to-play action RPG that’s known for its fair free-to-play system. Here’s what CEO Joe Madureira and Design Director Steve Madureira had to say about the joint effort.
Q: How much input has Digital Extreme had on Wayfinder? This is their first, title being published under them that isn’t by them. Curious what kind of learning experience had been brought over from them.
Joe Madureira: Yeah, for sure! I mean I think we’ve really been like collaborative the entire way, you know, we discuss a lot of our high-level design ideas and then once they’re implemented, you know, there’s a lot of feedback that we get not only from people testing, but, but also like the fine folks at DE, they’re very experienced at making this kind of game. So, they often just give us a lot of stuff to think about that, that we may not have considered.
Steve Madureira: Yeah, it’s been super collaborative and especially the expertise on… (like the) free-to-play, because that’s new for us and they’ve been doing it for years. And yeah, avoiding pitfalls, like what works, what doesn’t, and what’s fair. Because fair is very important for us too. We don’t (want to) you know, like we’re exploiting people or trying to wring them money or anything like that.

After Kazuya’s beatdown of Jin in his debut trailer, Bandai Namco Entertainment has finally released a gameplay trailer featuring Tekken 8‘s Paul Phoenix, showing off his new appearance, Judo-derived moveset, Heat abilities, and devastating Rage Art.
Watch the Tekken 8 Paul Phoenix gameplay trailer below:
The fan-favorite Judo brawler Paul Phoenix returns in Tekken 8, having ditched his iconic high flat top for a relaxed hairdo and a rugged biker aesthetic. Jean-Claude van Damme and Bruce Lee resume their in-game rivalry through Paul and his best friend Marshall Law, who spar against each other in the trailer.
Paul drifts in on a motorcycle for his intro, and has maintained his wall-breaking strength. As always, Paul is equipped with his devastating punches and kicks, empowered by the new blue-aura Heat System with his Engager, Burst, Smash, and Dash all showcased in the trailer. Paul maintains his right-hand jab Rage Art from Tekken 7, but has switched out the left-hand downward strike for a straight right-hand jab for his Rage Art setup attack.
More Tekken 8 gameplay is expected to be released in the coming weeks, but for now, eager fans can sate themselves with the Kazuya and Jin gameplay trailers released in the last few weeks. Tekken 8 will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at an unspecified time.
Crime Boss: Rockay City won’t launch simultaneously across all supported platforms. This information comes from a recent financial report by Digital Bros, the parent company of the game’s developer, 505 Games.
A section of the report mentions that Crime Boss: Rockay City’s PC version will launch on the previously announced release date of March 28, 2023. This date was originally revealed during last year’s The Game Awards show when the game itself also made its debut.
The statement goes on, however, to mention that the PC release will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for around a year or so. It also states that the console version of Crime Boss: Rockay City will follow in June 2023, around three months after the PC release.
The first hit of the significant investment plan implemented by the Group will arrive on the market on March 28th, 2023 with the launch of Crime Boss: Rockay City on personal computer. Without any significant launches during the reporting period, the Group realized Euro 59.8 million revenues (up by 8.1% YoY) and Euro 11 million EBIT as of December 31st, 2022.
The personal computer version of Crime Boss will be exclusive on Epic Store only until June 2024, at least. The launch of the console version will follow in June 2023. Crime Boss was first showcased last December during The Game Awards.
Crime Boss: Rockay City will launch on PC this March. Once we know the exact release dates for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Rogue Company Update 2.19 Patch Notes | Rogue Company Update 1.000.053 Patch Notes | Rogue Company Hotfix March 10 Patch Notes:
Hey, Rogue Company Players!
We hope you’re enjoying the Eternal Conflict update, but we know that some of you have been experiencing issues that have been causing crashes and incorrect rewards display. We’ve been hard at work on a hotfix that addresses these issues and we’re excited to announce that it’s now live!
Here’s a rundown of what we’ve fixed:
Wicked Glimpse was causing the game to crash, but not anymore! You can now use her to your heart’s content.
If you’ve purchased the Elite Event Pass and noticed that the rewards and levels weren’t displaying correctly, we’ve got good news for you. The issue has been resolved and you can now see the rewards and level that you’ve earned. We’ve also adjusted any players who did not receive those levels correctly to their appropriate level.
We also fixed an issue where using Angelic Juke was causing the game to crash. Now, you can use this ability without fear of a crash.
Lastly, some of you were experiencing an issue where your weekly contracts weren’t being displayed. We know how important those contracts are, so we made sure to fix that as soon as we could.
We understand how frustrating these issues can be, and we appreciate your patience while we worked on fixing them. We are still reviewing data and investigating reports of issues players are experiencing with our servers. We’re always striving to make Rogue Company the best experience possible, and we’re grateful for your support.
Over on Twitter, the studio also acknowledged the freezing issue that some players might experience:
You may note when viewing the contract screen your screen may freeze for a short period. This will only happen the first time you load it and we are looking into it!

Forspoken, the recently released fantasy RPG from Luminous Productions, has experienced “lackluster” sales, according to a recent quarterly financial results briefing from Square Enix. The actual Forspoken sales numbers were not reported in the document.
Here’s the full statement from the financial results briefing:
Reviews of “FORSPOKEN,” which we released on January 24, 2023, have been challenging. However, the game has also received positive feedback on its action features, including its parkour and combat capabilities, so it has yielded results that will lead to improvement of our development capabilities of other games in the future. That said, its sales have been lackluster, and while the performance of new titles with February and March release dates will be the ultimate determinant, we see considerable downside risk to our FY2023/3 earnings.
A Q&A session with Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda was also held during the briefing. One of the questions involved Forspoken’s potential impact on Square Enix’s financial results.
Q: How much impact could “FORSPOKEN,” which you launched in January, have on your 4Q FY2023/3 results?
A: I will refrain from answering that question in quantitative terms, partly because the title has just been released, and partly because the answer will hinge on how sales will trend once we have rolled out some forthcoming promotional initiatives.
The response seems to indicate that Square Enix will continue to promote Forspoken, though it’s unclear when they plan on doing so. The “initiatives” may refer to possible promotional campaigns for Forspoken’s DLC, In Tanta We Trust, which is still set to release this summer after Luminous Productions merged with Square Enix.
The Resident Evil 4 remake demo is out, and players have discovered an interesting secret in this playable version of the game. Resident Evil 4 demo’s Mad Chainsaw Mode is a secret difficulty that seemingly unlocks randomly, making the entire experience more challenging with tougher enemies and a harder boss battle against Dr. Salvador.
Looking to unlock the Mad Chainsaw Mode yourself? Here’s how to do it.
How to Unlock Resident Evil 4 Demo Mad Chainsaw Mode
What is Mad Chainsaw Mode?
Mad Chainsaw Mode is a difficulty setting that appears occasionally when starting a new game. You’ll know when it appears as a special menu pops up with the title, “EXTREME DIFFICULTY “MAD CHAINSAW MODE” INCOMING!”
You’ll then be prompted to either accept or decline the challenge. The menu also notes some details regarding Mad Chainsaw Mode, such as the fact that it’s limited to a single playthrough and you’d have to “wait” until the mode is “triggered” again until you attempt it again. You’ll only have one shot to complete Mad Chainsaw Mode; if you die, the playthrough ends. Mad Chainsaw Mode is also demo-specific and will not be part of the final game.
How to Trigger Mad Chainsaw Mode
The “trigger” that the menu hints at is actually very straightforward. It will appear randomly when starting a new game, and according to this YouTube video explaining the process, the chance of triggering Mad Chainsaw Mode is purely random. As such, you’ll simply have to select New Game, wait for the Mad Chainsaw Mode prompt to appear, and if it doesn’t, return to the menu and start over.
As for whether or not you need to actually beat the demo first in order to unlock this mode, we’re not entirely sure, so it’s best to simply play through the whole demo at least once before attempting to unlock Mad Chainsaw Mode. Some players have claimed that it appears even before finishing one playthrough, but there are games that unlock special difficulties only after beating them once, so it’s not unreasonable to assume that this is the case with RE4 either. Besides, it’ll give you a good enough warmup before tackling Mad Chainsaw Mode.
How many attempts did it take for you to unlock Mad Chainsaw Mode? Are there any other methods of unlocking it that you’ve found? Let us know!
Just yesterday, Capcom sprung a surprise treat to gamers as it unleashed the Resident Evil 4 demo on all platforms. Called the “Chainsaw Demo” this has no time limit and can be replayed infinitely by players. If you don’t want to play it or want to see how it goes, check out our Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Demo playthrough!
Clocking in at 25 minutes, the gameplay below is from the PC version and is running on a RTX 4090 at 4K, 60 frames-per-second at Ultra settings.
