Just a week after ushering in the return of Belial in Diablo 4, Blizzard has released the second client-side hotfix for the game on consoles and PC. Those playing on consoles, you’ll be prompted to download a small patch that will show up as Diablo 4 update 1.84 on last-gen, and version 1.084 for those on PS5/Xbox Series X|S.
This is a small download that clocks in at just 130MB on PC and this offers no new content, and no front-facing player changes as far as we’re aware. Read on for what’s in this patch and the most recent server hotfix.
The leaked release date for Mafia: The Old Country that surfaced last month was the real deal as expected, as the game is headed out on console and PC on August 8, 2025.
Diablo 4 New Update 1.84/1.084 Now Available on May 8
Per Blizzard, today’s patch has one lone fix and it’s:
Various stability fixes.
Yep, that’s about it. There was a server-side hotfix released last week that ushered in more tangible stuff:
GAME UPDATES
Reputation rewards for various activities have been increased:
World Boss: Increased from 250 to 2000.
Lair Boss: Increased from 750 to 1000.
Belial, Lord of Lies (Lair Boss Ambush): Increased from 1000 to 1500.
Blood Maiden: Increased from 250 to 1000.
Regular Boss: Increased from 250 to 750.-
Apparition Incursion Bosses have had their Health reduced, particularly at lower levels.
The leaked release date for Mafia: The Old Country that surfaced last month was the real deal as expected, as the game is headed out on console and PC on August 8, 2025.
However, today’s announcement also came with a surprise: Mafia: The Old Country will cost $49.99, a more modest $70! 2K and Hangar 13 both made statements that indicate why that price point was chosen.
There’s also a new gameplay trailer, and details on the pre-order bonuses and different editions that will be available as well.
While the in-development Battlefield game is currently being tested, it's still a mystery when we'll actually get to play it.
Mafia: The Old Country Cheaper Than $70 and It’s a Good Thing
The press release has the following quotes from 2K Games and Hangar 13:
“Mafia: The Old Country is a focused, linear experience that combines quality storytelling, authentic era immersion and a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay,” said Hangar 13 President Nick Baynes. “That focus allows us to deliver a story that’s gritty, grounded, brutal and emotional. Embracing early 1900s era Sicily, this is a mafia origin story that follows our protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he takes the oath and works his way up Don Torrisi’s crime family.”
“We think there’s a large audience for compelling stories that don’t require massive time commitments,” said 2K President David Ismailer. “We’re excited to offer a game like Mafia: The Old Country in our portfolio, and to provide a linear highly-polished narrative experience that can easily complement the other more persistent games our players also love and engage with on a more consistent basis.”
Alongside the price confirmation, we also get details on the pre-order bonuses and the different editons that will be available at launch.
Mafia: The Old Country Different Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses
The Standard Edition includes the full base game and will be available for $49.99 on PlayStation®5 (PS5®), Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

MachineGames has a new patch out for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on consoles and PC, and this is another hotfix after the sizable Update 4 was released last month. Players will be glad to know that the game is now Steam Deck verified after this patch. Console gamers should see the patch as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle update 1.005 (complete version 1.005.000).
Some of the issues fixed include switching of equipment hang-ups which happened to me a few times. There’s also DualSense controller fix implemented and other technical bugs have been resolved.
While Microsoft hasn't commented on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's commercial performance, the action-adventure game will see a huge boost in sales thanks to its release on PS5 starting today.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s New Update Fixes Nagging Issues and the Irag Cave Door Bug
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue where extremely rapid switching of your equipped items with the d-pad at the same time as picking other objects up could result in you permanently dropping important progression items such as your camera, lighter or whip. Players who have experienced this should find those items restored when launching the game with this hotfix installed
Fixed an issue where the Iraq cave door was closed when revisiting that level, preventing you from revisiting the main chamber
Improvements to DualSense wireless controller Adaptive Triggers to prevent them from quietly “clicking” when looking at friendly NPCs
Menu option added to allow modification of DualSense wireless controller Adaptive Trigger strength, including an “Off” option.
Note: For Steam players, the game now has Steam Input defaulted to Off for PlayStation controllers, so that more players can discover the DualSense features on PC. If you wish to reenable Steam Input, you can do that from the Controller section of the game Properties in the Steam launcher
Fixed an issue where the “Forgotten Page” activity note might fail to appear in Sunan’s hut in Sukhothai if you did not pick it up in the Hotel when first arriving in Sukhothai
Fixed one known cause of an issue preventing players from being given the “Archivist” achievement. Players should find that the achievement will pop as soon as gameplay is started after installing the hotfix. Other causes of this bug may exist; please contact Bethesda Support to share details if you continue to experience this issue
Steam Deck Verified
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is now Verified for Steam Deck! Fresh game profiles will now default to optimized settings for running the game on Steam Deck.
Note: When running the game on Steam Deck, the “Texture Pool Size” is now set to a value called “Steam Deck” to avoid exceeding RAM limits that will crash the game. Other graphics options can still be adjusted to preference.

What’s Precision Farming and How Did It Change From Before?
Here’s a short recap of the Precision Farming changes from Farming Sim 19 to the Farming Sim 25:
Precision Farming was initiated by EIT Food, Europe’s leading Food Innovation Initiative, in cooperation with John Deere, educational institutions, and other partners.
Co-funded by the European Union, the initial goal was meant to highlight sustainable technology in agriculture to create awareness in the general population.
Farming Simulator was basically offering itself as a vehicle to transport the awareness of sustainable farming, reaching millions of players world-wide.
Other partners of the project: The University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (UK), Grupo AN (the largest cereal cooperative in Spain), and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences.

Pocketpair Inc. has released another minor update for Palworld called v0.5.5, which players should see as version 1.070.590. This was rolled out primarily for glider mechanics changes.
Sony has launched the latest PlayStation Store sale, which is called the "Next Level" promotion, and it's a mix of indie games and AAA blockbusters.
Palworld Glider Changes Made Due to Lawsuit Confirms Pocketpair
Here’s what’s new in the patch, according to the developers:
Mechanics Adjustment
The mechanics for gliding with a Pal have been changed.
Until now, you could use certain Pals as a glider, however from this patch you will only be able to glide by using a glider.
Glider Pals will now provide a new passive partner skill effect while gliding, but the player must have a glider equipped to actually glide.
In addition, Pocketpair has issued a message on the game’s Discord channel regarding the changes made and about “Palworld’s future.”
While the studio is currently involved “in prolonged legal proceedings regarding alleged patent infringement,” they are continuously disputing these claims and invalidity of these patents. But to avoid disruptions, the studio admitted they have to make certain “compromises” in the development and distribution of Palworld.
The message reads, “On November 30th, 2024, we released Patch v0.3.11 for Palworld. This patch removed the ability to summon Pals by throwing Pal Spheres and instead changed it to a static summon next to the player. Several other game mechanics were also changed with this patch. As many have speculated, these changes were indeed a result of the ongoing litigation. Everyone here at Pocketpair was disappointed that this adjustment had to be made, and we fully understand that many players feel the same frustration. Unfortunately, as the alternative would have led to an even greater deterioration of the gameplay experience for players, it was determined that this change was necessary.”
Moreover, with today’s patch, Pocketpair must make another compromise starting with today’s patch. “From this patch onward, gliding will be performed using a glider rather than with Pals. Pals in the player’s team will still provide passive buffs to gliding, but players will now need to have a glider in their inventory in order to glide,” the studio noted.
Pocketpair finishes the statement by saying these changes are “necessary in order to prevent further disruptions to the development of Palworld.”
It seems Palworld’s development is affected by this lawsuit even if there’s not a ruling out yet. Let’s hope this doesn’t bog down future content plans.
Following the of Bedrock version 1.21.80 yesterday for Minecraf, it’s now the beta and preview branch that’s gotten a patch. Players will see this as Minecraft Preview update 1.69 on last-gen and version 1.052 on current-gen consoles.

Notable Games Worth Checking Out
ACE COMBAT™7: SKIES UNKNOWN -84% $9.59 – Might be the cheapest I’ve seen this if I’m not mistaken. Project Aces’ dogfighting series. Released ages ago, but still gets content packs from time to time. If you like jets blasting other jets, this is probably the best one out there.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite PS4 & PS5 -70% $8.99 – Underrated co-op action game. Support has ended and the devs are crafting the sequel. Got loads of support back then. If you want more co-op goodness outside of Helldivers 2, though don’t expect AAA polish.
Alone in the Dark – Digital Deluxe Edition -25% $37.49 – Extras in Delxue not worth it. The latest reboot of the granddaddy of survival horror. Stars David Harbour. Reviewed OK, but failed to meet sales expectations. Combat and movement kind of janky, but serviceable enough for horror junkies.
Assassin’s Creed Legendary Collection -80% $39.99 – Includes six AC games: Black Flag, Rogue Remastered, Unity, Syndicate, Origins and Odyssey. Bang for buck given the price, but YMMV if you dig the franchise or not.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla -75% $14.99 – Not super-sure, but this is the lowest it’s been on PSN outside of bundles? Good AC game. Just a wee bit too long and overstays its welcome somewhat
Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand -60% $19.99 – Revamped. AA action game that got an overhaul. Might still be too expensive? Anyone who tried the revamp want to chime in?
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ -67% $23.09 – Ubisoft open-world but with Avatar’s license. Better than expected and still getting DLC and support.
Battlefield 4™ Premium Edition -88% $4.79 – One of the best Battlefield games of all time. Not sure on PS playerbase. If there are players, then give this a go.
Battlefield™ 1 -75% $4.99 – Probably the last great Battlefield game before the franchise’s decline. Insane levolution elements. Nice gunplay and that headshot ping sound!
Battlefield™ V -88% $4.79 – Not one of the better BF games, but after patches, serviceable. Not sure on the playerbase.
Blood Bowl 3 –60% $15.99 – Turn-based fantasy sports game that’s still getting support.
Bloodborne™ -50% $9.99 – Very rarely goes on sale, and quite possibly the lowest I’ve seen it on PSN. Needs no introduction. Best Souls game? Not going to get a remake/remaster soon since Sony hates us. Pick this up.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake -50% $9.99 – Split Fiction studio boss’ Jose Fares earlier works but remade with better visuals. Reviewed well and kickstarted the creator’s two-protagonist slant. This can be played solo though.
Capcom Arcade Stadium Bundle -60% $15.99 – Houses a good amount of old-school Capcom goodness.
Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium Bundle -60% $15.99 – Same as the other one but with different games. Each one has loads of games that might be worth it for nostalgia.
Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle -50% $9.99 – Aweasome bundle for beat-’em-up fans that want to play co-op with friends, loved ones or even kids.
Castlevania Advance Collection -45% $10.99 – Both titles offer three Castlevania old-school action games in each bundle. Castlevania Dominus Collection -20% $19.99
Chorus -80% $4.99 – Space combat game that reviewed well, but people might want to check YT if this is their kind of game.Colony Wars fans might want to take a look.
Crash Bandicoot™ – Crashiversary Bundle -60% $47.99 – Houses the trilogy and Crash 4. Perfect for platformer fans who have a nostalgia itch that will remind them how hard these games were back then.
DARK SOULS™ III -50% $29.99 – Rarely goes on sale. Price is kind of high though.
DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED -50% $19.99 – FromSoftware’s first Dark Souls game now remastered. Rarely goes on sale
Dead by Daylight PS4® & PS5® -60% $11.99 – Asymmetrical horror game that’s still getting a TON of support. Expansions are regularly released as well as game updates. Loads of collabs and those go on sale too
Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition -60% $27.99 – Houses the premium expansions, probably one of the only few Embracer releases that actually made money.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe -20% $47.99 – Capcom’s zombie action game, though I’d wait for the regular edition to go on sale than this.
Diablo® II: Resurrected™ -67% $13.19 – If you’re burnt out of Diablo 4. This sometimes gets occasional suopport.
Diablo® IV – Standard Edition -50% $24.99 – Latest game on sale without the frills. Worth the money and this is getting loads of updates.
Dragon Age™: Inquisition – Game of the Year Edition -75% $9.99 – The last Dragon Age before The Veilguard. Debatable which game is better.
DRAGON BALL FighterZ PS4 & PS5 -84% $9.59 – Super low price for Arc System Works’ DBZ game. If you ever wanted to play Dragon Ball’s anime as a fighter, this is it. Insane combos.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 –43% $39.89 – Capcom’s latest entry in the franchise, and reviewed very well. Might not be for everyone, so I suggest YouTubing it first.
ENDLESS™ Dungeon PS4 & PS5 -50% $9.99 – Rogue-lite tactical action game that a lot of players seemed to like.
Evil West -70% $17.99 – Vampire-themed third-person action game. It’s not bad, but just expect jank and a lot less polish
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Digital Deluxe Edition -50% $24.99 – Posting these two so you know NOT to buy it since the standard editions are on sale much cheaper. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE Digital Deluxe Edition -42% $34.79 –
Forspoken -70% $20.99 – Square Enix’s action-adventure flop. Not sure if the character’s quips have been patched or not, but it’s not that bad.
Killzone Shadow Fall™ -50% $9.99 0 Last Killzone – The last Killzone game before Guerrilla moved on to Horizon. MP shouldn’t work, but the single-player was solid from what I remember.
Legend of Mana -60% $11.99 – HD remaster of the SNES RPG.
Little Nightmares I & II Bundle PS4 & PS5 -70% $14.99 – Hugely uinderrated platformer with horror elements. Good story, pertfect game to play with your partner or kids. Cannot recommend this enough.
LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP -40% $26.99 – Re-release of the action game. It’s gotten new features since release since the devs roll out updates for new features and fixes.
Lords of the Fallen Deluxe Edition -72% $22.39 – One of the most successful Elden Ring-esque games out there. Getting loads of support all throughout the year, and a sequel is confirmed. Not sure if the items included in the deluxe are worth it though.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite – Deluxe Edition -80% $11.99 – The much-maligned fighter that sidetracked this franchise. Have not played this, but maybe worth a go for some?
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition -50% $19.99 – Includes the City That Never Sleeps DLC, but this is the PS4 version.
METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES -40% $11.99 – Prologue of The Phantom Pain METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN -40% $11.99 – MGS but more open-world, and this still looks amazing to this day.
Metaphor: ReFantazio Atlus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition PS4 & PS5 -35% $64.99 – Rarely goes on sale. This is a GOTY 2024 winner/contender. But the extra stuff might not be worth the extra $$ for some? Depends on how much you like extras.
Middle-earth™: The Shadow Bundle -90% $6.99 – First time I’ve seen this bundle. Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor with the DLCs! Not a bad deal. Pour one out for Monolith.
Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst -65% $6.99 – DICE’s sequel to the first-person parkour game. Don’t get this if you have motion sickness.
MLB® The Show™ 25 Digital Deluxe Edition -30% $69.99—This might be the first time this is on sale. It’s more expensive because it’s digital deluxe.
Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe -72% $19.59 – Have not played this but expect traditional MH gameplay + the DLC. Support for this has ended since Capcom is all-in on MH Wilds.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition Digital Deluxe -60% $19.99 – Includes the base game and the expansion. If you don’t need to play the latest, this should do the trick. This game weathered me throughout the pandemic.
MURDERED: SOUL SUSPECT™ ‘ -90% $1.99 – Action-adventure stealth game by Square Enix. It didn’t get a lot of love then. Good story, nice ideas but the execution leaves much to be desired. BUT at that price? Might be worth a look.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered -80% $9.99 – Enhanced version of the original. This got a lot of attention back then. Gorgeous Studio Ghibli visuals.
Ni no Kuni™ II: REVENANT KINGDOM – Deluxe Edition -80% $15.99 – The sequel with DLCs.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 – Ultimate Edition -80% $15.99 – Smash Bros. with Nick characters. Not sure if this was as popular as the first since there’s hardly any support.
Nioh 2 -50% $19.99 – Team Ninja’s Souls that got a lot of good reviews. Not the remastered though.
OUTRIDERS COMPLETE EDITION -35% $19.49 – Insanely fun to build classes and decimate armies of enemies. Super fun if you can get players to coop with. Underrated gem that needs to be recognized more. Includes Worldslayer DLC.
PAYDAY 3: Year 1 Edition -60% $23.99 – Starbreeze’s heist shooter. Started off well, but due to poor post-launch conditions, had trouble retaining playerbase. Not sure how it it is now. Includes the first year of DLCs.
Pentiment -50% $9.99 – Obsidian’s text-heavy narrative game. Have not finished this, but it won a few awards, and was reviewed very well.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition -75% $14.99 – 2018 RPG by Obsidian that rarely goes on sale for some reason. This reviewed well when it was released.
Prey -80% $5.99 – Arkane’s 2017 FPS that some say is the studio’s best work. It’s a reboot of the 2006 Prey game and has no connection to it from what I remember.
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown -50% $19.99 – One of the best games last year. Awesome Metroidvania that has loads of secrets. Even had DLC released.
Psychonauts 2 – Double Fine’s well-reviewed platformer. This was published by Xbox even back then.
QUANTUM ERROR -40% $17.99 – Temu Dead Space. Developed by TeamKill. Didn’t really review well. There was a few updates, though not sure how much it improved the game. Horror fans, this worth it?
Remnant II® – Deluxe Edition -50% $29.99 – Game is good but this bundle is not. Avoid and wait for the one that’s the base game only or the one that includes the DLCs.
Resident Evil 4 -50% $19.99 – Lowest I’ve seen this on PSN. Grab now! One of the best horror games remade to be even better.
RESIDENT EVIL 2 Deluxe Edition -75% $12.49 – Don’t think the extra stuff matter, but this is my favorite RE remake so adding it here.
RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard Gold Edition -60% $15.99 – Includes the DLCs. The scariest RE game of all-time for me. Who knew hillbillies would be scarier than zombies.
Resident Evil Village Gold Edition PS4 & PS5 -60% $19.99 – Latest RE game with DLCs. Ends Ethan’s adventure. Worth a play.
Resident Evil Remake Trilogy -45% $49.49 – Posting it here so that people don’t get suckered in. The three games are usually sold cheaper than this “bundle.”
Returnal Digital Deluxe Edition -50% $39.99 – Does not go on sale often, but the extra $$ for the digital goodies? Not worth it in my opinion.
Rise of the Ronin™ -43% $39.89 – Team Ninja’s action game released last year. Not a Souls-like, though most people think it is.
RoboCop: Rogue City -85% $8.99 – Was just free on PSN. Better than expected. Brings familiar RoboCop visuals and violence. I’m actually surprised this turned out as well as it did. It’s even getting a standalone DLC.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -58% $29.39 – Why on earth this is on sale and not the regular version is beyond me. Sackboy’s only solo game. Now replaced by Astro Bot as the mascot. 🙁
Session: Skate Sim -70% $11.99 – Sim-like skateboarding game. Friend told me this is fun if you really skate. Still getting support.
SILENT HILL 2 Deluxe Edition -35% $51.99 – Fantastic game but hold off and wait for the Standard edition to go on sale since it does from time to time.
Sniper Elite: Resistance PS4™ & PS5™ -30% $41.99 – Latest Sniper game. Reviewed well. Not the mainline one, but getting a lot of love from Rebellion.
SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS Digital Deluxe Edition PS4 & PS5 -30% $41.99 – Debatable if the added Shadow level makes up for the extra price. This enhanced re-release got positive reviews from Sonic fans.
STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™ Deluxe Edition -65% – Great games but avoid getting these since the standard versions are cheaper. STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™ Deluxe Edition -65%
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection -67% $9.89 – Includes 12 Street Fighter games. For the franchise fans.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection PS4 & PS5 -60% $15.99 – Houses 15 TMNT games. Think of this as the TMNT video game nostalgia collection.
TEKKEN7 -80% $9.99 – Given the drama surrounding Tekken 8, if you want to check the older one that some say is superior, this is a good price.
TEKKEN 8 Advanced Edition -30% $48.99 – Has three additional characters. The one with the Season Pass is on sale too.
The Bunker -55% $8.99 – FMV game. Miight be worth a shot to play for the experience. Just don’t expect anything deep.
The Callisto Protocol™ – Digital Deluxe Edition PS5 -85% $13.49 – The cheapest it’s been on PSN. Not sure if the updates actually made the annoying bits better. Not as great as the Dead Space remake, but not terrible either.
The Dark Pictures Anthology : Season One PS4™ & PS5™ -60% $39.99 – Purely YMMV. But as someone who loves these kind of games, this is a good one. Houses four of Supermassive’s horror games.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition – PS5 & PS4 -67% $16.49 – If you need more Elder Scrolls after Oblivion, this is a cheap price for the amount of time you can spend on it. Skryim Remastered won’t be out until anytime soon (maybe).
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ -80% $5.99 – Lowest it’s been on PSN. One of the lowest-rated games released last year. Devs abandoned this. Worth it at that price? Maybe if you want to punish yourself for always buying games with too much MTX.
The Outer Worlds -67% $9.89 – Reviewed well. Getting a sequel. DLCs are also on sale.
Titanfall® 2 Standard Edition -75% $4.99 – Will never stop recommending this until we get Titanfall 3. Awesome campaign, and the MP was special. Loads of sweats so be prepared to be stomped on, literally.
Tony Hawk’s™ Pro Skater™ 1 + 2 -60% $15.99 – The next two games getting the remake treatment are almost out, but if you don’t mind playing the older ones, then this is a good bargain.
UFC® 5 Ultimate Edition -60% $39.99 – Only MMA game in town. Avoid at that price since extras are not worth it.
UNCHARTED™ The Nathan Drake Collection -55% $8.99 – Wow at this price. Don’t think we’ll ever see a remastered re-release so get this to experience Naughty Dog’s best works.
V Rising –50% $19.99 – Vampire game that’s NOT Diablo contrary to what it might look like. YouTube this first. Getting loads of support and has a lot of fans.

While EA CEO Andrew Wilson “argued” that they have released high-quality and “incredible” Battlefield games since Battlefield 4, he did acknowledge that they are aiming to do a better job involving the community in the development process, which is why they started Battlefield Labs.
As Battlefield Labs testing continues, DICE has issued another community update to keep non-testers in the loop.
EA Using Battlefield Labs to Help Players “Understand” What They’re Building
EA was asked during the Q&A portion of the earnings report on what key learnings EA has learned to position the new Battlefield game for creative and commercial success, and how they would compare some of these learnings to previous versions of the game that the publisher has released throughout the years.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson answered: “Let me take the first part of that and then I’ll hand it off to Stuart for the second part. This Battlefield, as we’ve said many times, is the biggest Battlefield we’ve ever made. And of course, you would expect us to say that, but we’ve certainly had the biggest team behind it, and we’ve given them as much time as they need to get to real quality, aligned with our core Battlefield community.
If you go back to our Battlefields, all the way back to Battlefield 4, I might argue that we’ve released incredible games every time. They’ve always been high quality. We’ve always worked closely with the community, but we haven’t always worked as closely as we should have. We haven’t always really worked to help them understand the things that we’re building, and for us to understand the things that they really want out of a Battlefield.
We know that when we get it right, Battlefield is a giant franchise, and often the biggest shooter in the year. And so this time, we wanted to ensure that one, our player base and our global community had a better understanding of the things that we were building, and how we were building, and some of the approaches that we’re taking to building. But more importantly, we wanted them to have the ability to feedback on map construction, weapon lineup, progression, all of the things that make Battlefield great at Battlefield scale. And given that this is the biggest Battlefield ever, there was really no other way to go about that other than Battlefield Labs in the way we have. And I would tell you, we’ve been overwhelmed by the feedback, not just the positive feedback that our players are giving us around what we’re doing, how we’re doing it, the scale and nature of what we’re doing, but also just their willingness to deeply engage with us through this process.
You know, hundreds of thousands of people have weighed into this and really given us feedback that is going to help us tune and balance this incredible scale game. And as we now, as we move into the next phase, you know, we’ll start to open up to a wider audience, bringing in more across North America and Europe and starting with Asia. And so again, this is all about two things. One is helping our community understand the nature of the things that we’re building. But more important, have us understand the things that they want out of this game and ensuring we’re tuning and balancing and polishing in a way that is aligned with their expectations. And we know when we get that right, the opportunities is incredibly large.”
It seems DICE is holding the second part of the Battlefield Labs currently, and new info has emerged from it.
In the same report, EA revealed that Battlefield Labs had over 600,000 players sign up and over 350 million views of Battlefield content since its announcement. As Wilson mentioned, the testing branch will open up to Asia soon, though there is no word on the exact date yet.
What we’ve seen so far of the new Battlefield game indicates that DICE is back in rare form, and we’re hoping the official reveal in summer will knock us out of our boots. Of course, we’re still skeptical on how well the shooter will actually fare and how EA will be treating it post-launch, but this optimism most players have with the recent leaks should signal to DICE that they’re on the right track.

While the in-development Battlefield game is currently being tested, it’s still a mystery when we’ll actually get to play it. Publisher Electronic Arts hasn’t revealed just when we’ll be able to do that, but the company did confirm a release window for the game in today’s quarterly financials report.
According to EA, Battlefield fans can now mark the game down to be released before March 2026.
While DICE has shared bits and info about the new Battlefield game, there's not a lot of gameplay to accompany it.
New Battlefield Game Getting Full Reveal This Summer
During the quarterly earnings presentation, EA CEO Andrew Wilson mentioned that the new Battlefield game will be released sometime in Fiscal Year 2026 (FY 2026), which ends in March 2026. This means that the shooter could be released anytime this year, and no later than March 2026.
In addition, Wilson announced that the game’s “major” reveal is set for this summer, which we’re going to assume will be in June at Summer Game Fest.
Wilson also discussed Battlefield Labs, mentioning how the shooter’s testing branch has “far exceeded expectations ” and confirming that testing will soon expand to Asia. Wilson adds that EA has observed over 350 million views on Battlefield content since Battlefield Labs was officially announced.
As Battlefield Labs testing continues, DICE has issued another community update to keep non-testers in the loop.
Unless the game is in really rough shape, which it doesn’t seem to be based on what we’ve seen from its pre-alpha build, EA could very well release Battlefield 6 (or whatever it’s called) in fall 2025. It’s now clear from competition outside Call of Duty since Rockstar has pushed Grand Theft Auto 6’s release to May 2026. Unless EA wants to release close to GTA 6 or play musical release date chairs with Take-Two, I doubt they’d want to be anywhere near that juggernaut.
The US’ summer starts in June and ends in September, so we should be seeing the game’s official reveal soon-ish. Once we know more, we’ll let our readers know.
While nothing has been announced by Electronic Arts, assuming the new Battlefield game currently in development will feature a Battle Pass of some sort seems like a safe bet.
Blizzard has a new patch out for Overwatch 2 on all platforms, and this is purely for bug fixes, and includes no hero balance changes. Players on consoles will see this as Overwatch 2 update 4.00 on last-gen, and OW2 update version 1.000.064 for current-gen platforms.
This Overwatch 2 bug fix update fixes some loot boxes not opening, and a good number of Stadium-related fixes too.
The Arc Raiders playtest is ending later today, and while the test itself was by invite only, it seems the title has already managed to pull off some impressive feats.

Once Bungie releases another patch, expect it up on the site.
Don’t Nod has released Lost Records: Bloom & Rage update 2.002 on consoles and PC, and unlike previous patches, this one actually introduces new features. Mind you, it’s nothing major but these are good quality-of-life additions to have. especially for a text-heavy game like this one.
Aside from the new improvements, game progression blockers have been fixed as well, alongside crashing fixes too.
In Settings menu, added a new option to change the subtitle color (white, pink, green, red, blue).
In Settings menu, added a subtitle preview to visualize customization (background, size, color).
Implemented contextual colors on the controller light bar for Dual Sense users.
In camcorder view, added an option to reset the motion control camera tilt by clicking the left thumbstick (on platforms and controllers supporting motion control).
Game Progression Blockers Fixes
Fixed an issue in Chapter ‘… & Rage’ (Tape 1), where exiting the lock pad while Kat was still talking then re-entering it would prevent progression.
Fixed an issue in Chapter ‘Alone Again’ (Tape 2), where inputting a full phone number before the dialogue finishes would block progression.
Fixed an issue in Chapter ‘Infiltration’ (Tape 2), where player could get out of bounds and block progression.
Crash Fixes
While investigating random crashes that multiple players experienced with our game, we ended up disabling the FSR upscaling feature (and related rendering code) on machines running with non-AMD graphics cards (most notably Nvidia). Discussions on Unreal and Nvidia developer communities led us to think this could be the source of crashes which have been reported to us. This could help reduce crashes even if you did not have the FSR feature enabled in the game’s graphics options menu.
Moreover, Nvidia just released a major driver update to fix random crashes experienced by players in the last months on Unreal Engine games. Please consider updating your drivers to their latest version.
We hope that the combination of these two elements will significantly reduce the occurrence of random crashes you may experience.
Localization fixes
Fixed missing German translations of multiple object’s descriptions.

Once another one is out, expect it up on the site.
The latest major update for Apex Legends is here and it brings a new legend in Sparrow alongside a host of new improvements and balance changes too. Players on consoles should see the file live now as Apex Legends update 2.83.
Alongside the new character, there are a host of game updates related to legends, weapons and a whole lot more. There’s a lot to take in, so read up on what’s new in the patch notes below.
Before we jump into the seasonal updates, here’s a quick progress check-in on anti-cheat. We’ve been focusing on many iterative improvements across an array of efforts including internal cheat detection, automated detections, and third party solutions. Our ongoing work against teaming has continued to have a positive impact on bad behaviour, primarily in Ranked.
We’ve also ramped up efforts combating bot activity performed by automating certain devices, and a decrease in nefarious bot activity should already be noticeable in your matches by the time you read this. This population may be small, but their actions can still disrupt your time in the Outlands and we’re continuing to target actions against these players to ensure that every match is worthwhile.
There’ve also been a plethora of improvements that we’re looking to actively update ranging from bug/exploit fixes to hardening existing prevention measures; we hope to share more on these in the future. Finally, we wanted to thank you for the feedback on our mid-season addition of Report Action Feedback. Please continue to submit in-game reports as they do work both in identifying cheaters and the impact they’re having in your matches.
AUDIO
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve audio reliability, we have implemented a system that will allow us to improve how we diagnose audio issues for our PC players. We will now look out for common symptoms of audio issues (ex. footstep audio events being dropped excessively) throughout your matches.
When we detect an abnormally large amount of these situations with in-game audio, we will occasionally offer you the option of uploading a detailed report containing everything our audio engine did throughout the course of your match. Since the scope of this diagnostic information is limited to our audio systems, the uploaded data is completely anonymous; the recording is purely game related audio, and does not contain voice chat nor any information that can be tracked back to you.
In-game screenshot of audio pop-up that offers the chance to upload an Audio log after an unusually high amount of audio dropouts were detected.
MATCHMAKING
This season, we’re tackling matchmaking quality through region population management, leveraging skill values in Ranked, and by increasing queue wait times for high-skilled lobbies.
Population management comes in the form of a system improvement that allows auto-merging of players into higher population regions to expand the pool of available players for closer skill matchmaking. Since the available pool on each platform, in each region, and at any time of day can vary quite a bit, we are testing ways to get those players together without sacrificing too much latency. The next two major changes this season focus on matchmaking quality in Ranked.
The first change is how players are reset each season: initial Rank and tier placement is based on the player’s tracked skill value and not how much RP they had at the end of the season. This will group like-skilled players together, even if they haven’t played in a while. Players new to Ranked will receive their initial placement based on their performance in Apex so far.
The second change is part of our seasonal tuning for matchmaking which this time around means asking our Platinum, Diamond, and Masters (including Predator) players to wait a bit longer while we try to find them opponents that are closer to their RP value. Skill and RP aren’t the same thing, but they are closer than they have been in the past.
LTM: ARENAS

Prepare a loadout at the start of each round, fight your opponents in intense squad battles, and learn your opponents’ weaknesses to prevail. On May 20th prepare yourself for a refresh that puts the focus on firepower over heals, trying out new weapons, getting around the maps in exciting new ways, and boosting those Care Packages. Be sure to come back half way through the season to check out our 1v1 variant—“Arenas: Duels.” Welcome back to Arenas, Legends.

STORE UPDATES
EXOTIC SHOP
Missed out on some of Apex’s most iconic Reactive weapons? We’re giving players another chance to grab them. Starting soon, the Level 100 Battle Pass Reactive skins from Seasons 11 through 21 will be available in the Exotic Shop for exotic shards—including fan favorites for the R-99, Hemlock, Spitfire, and more.
LEGEND LOCKER
We’re also expanding the Legend Locker to include some of your favorite Legend and Weapon skins from past seasons all the way through to Upheaval. We’ll also let you know in the Locker if a skin you’re eyeing is also featured in a live offer elsewhere.
LEGEND SELECT ANIMATIONS
Unique Legend Select animations are always fun to spot ahead of a match. We’re expanding Legend customization with a new “Animations” tab in the Legend Menu, where you’ll be able to equip certain future Legend Select animations with any of those Legend’s skins.
Added VO for pinging and interacting with Arsenals
Before Loot Bin resets:
Light, heavy, and energy Arsenals now give two blocks of ammo with each pick-up
Ammo at all Arsenals now takes 20s to respawn (was 10s)
After Loot Bin resets:
Enhancing your weapon will now give at least two attachments
Added a slight flare to the model to show the Arsenal has reset
Ammo at all Arsenals only takes 10s and grants a full stack of the ammo
Dev Note: We’re really pleased with Arsenals and are excited with how players have weaved them into their gameplay. These adjustments are designed to smooth out the early game by providing a little more ammo without fully replacing the need to scavenge the area and increase their relevancy in the later stages of the game.
Today, Microsoft has finally put the rumors to rest, as it announced that Gears of War will finally be coming to PS5 this August with the release of Gears of War: Reloaded, a re-release of the first Gears game with added performance enhancements.
LEGENDS
Assault Class
Battle Surge
Removed scan on shield crack
Healthbar now lingers for 3s (was 4s)
Move speed boost now only applies while sprinting during the active window
Dev Notes: Assault Legends have remained popular and powerful throughout Takeover. There’s a lot of utility stacked on this class, and the scan on shield crack specifically felt like a step too far in a world where Sparrow will be bringing in a powerful scan ability.
Skirmisher Class
Charged Knock: removed Tac charge gained on knock
Dev Notes: We like rewarding Skirmishers for playing aggressively with health regen on knocks, but found the extra Tac charge had uneven results. It didn’t help some Legends and interfered with upgrades that provide extra charges for others. Ultimately, we felt that this belongs better in the upgrade tree (like Pathfinder’s new Level 3 upgrade!) rather than in the class perks.
Sparrow
New Recon Legend
Abilities
Passive: Double Jump
Press jump while in the air to jump again
Pressing jump while climbing will launch Sparrow up the wall
Carry additional arrows and explosive arrows for the Bocek
Tactical: Tracker Dart
Shoot a tracker from your gauntlet that will reveal enemies who walk within its line of sight
These darts can also be used to activate Survey Beacons from afar
Ultimate: Stinger Bolt
Shoot a large arrow that will anchor where it lands. After it charges up, it will shock anyone within its range, causing damage and slowing any opponent it hits.
Upgrades: Level 2
Extra Traps: gain an additional Tactical charge and +2 traps in world
Hunt Target: Sparrow gains a speed boost when running towards a marked enemy
Upgrades: Level 3
Alternate Mode: Ult now has 3 charges that fire fewer pulses in a smaller radius
Life Siphon: Sparrow’s health and shields are recovered if enemies are damaged by his Ult
Ash
Predator’s Pursuit: removed Death Box minimap locations/pings
Previous hotfix
Increased Ult max distance travel time to 2.5s (was 1.4s)
Increased Ult min distance travel time to 0.5s (was 0.3s)
Dev Notes: We love that players are having fun with Ash and we want to tweak her balance without removing the parts of her kit that players are enjoying. Predator’s Pursuit feels redundant now that she has her new dash passive and is another form of intel-gathering that competes with Sparrow.
Conduit (Previous Hotfix)
Increased Tac health regen per tick to 4 (was 3)
Mirage (Previous Hotfix)
Increased the number of decoys created during Ult to 6 (was 5)
Pathfinder
Grappling Hook: cooldown now variable, ranging from 10-30s depending on distance traveled (was flat 30s)
Zipline Gun
Integrated Zipline Zen upgrade into base
Damage mitigation increased to 50% (was 25%)
Upgrades: Level 3
Feeling Zippy: gain a second Zipline Gun charge (replaces Zipline Zen)
Grapple God: gain a second Grappling Hook charge (replaces Grapple Cooldown+)
Dev Notes: “Remember me, friends. I may kill you.”
Seer (Previous Hotfix)
Decreased the time for Tac to hit targets to 0.8s (was 1.4s)
Decreased the time for Tac to finish to 0.9s (was 1.0s)
While nothing has been announced by Electronic Arts, assuming the new Battlefield game currently in development will feature a Battle Pass of some sort seems like a safe bet.
The Arc Raiders playtest is ending later today, and while the test itself was by invite only, it seems the title has already managed to pull off some impressive feats.

Purple: advanced stability and recoil control
Improved the scaling with high tier stocks
Blue: improved handling and reload speeds (equivalent to old Purple)
Purple: advanced handling and reload speeds
Increased purple mag capacity to 52 (was 48)
Dev Note: The Devotion has been feeling a tad clunky and a bit too slow in this meta, so we’ve taken a big swing at how it scales with attachments. It now continues to live up to that late game monster fantasy it’s always had. By embedding the turbocharger feature behind a fully decked out Devotion, we’ve made its loot chase more exciting and rewarding than ever.
L-STAR EMG (Previous Hotfix)
Increased vertical and horizontal movement in the recoil pattern
Significantly reduced projectile size
MARKSMAN
Bocek Compound Bow [Floor Loot]
Can also be found on Sniper Arsenals
Added Sniper stocks as an accepted attachment
Uses its own reserve of 40 arrows, similar to a Care Package weapon
Arrows shot into the world can be retrieved to replenish supply
Arrows shot into players can be retrieved from top of Death Box (4 max)
Arrows cannot be found in floor looting
Max charge damage decreased to 55 (was 75)
Decreased rate of fire
Shattercaps removed
Frag Grenades can be used to energize the Bocek with explosive arrows
Must fully draw in order to fire an explosive arrow
Explosive arrows will stick into the world or a player on hit
Explosive arrow on hit damage reduced to 40 (headshot: 64)
Explosive arrows will explode in a 5m radius, dealing 25 extra damage after a 2s delay
After its first collaboration featuring the Persona franchise earlier this year, PC peripheral and case maker HYTE is preparing to launch an all-new collaboration with ATLUS again, this time with the studio's newest original IP, Metaphor: ReFantazio.
SHOTGUN
EVA-8
Greatly increased rate of fire at base and all bolt tiers
Damage per pellet reduced to 6 (was 8)
Dev Note: The EVA-8 has been a particularly strong secondary weapon recently, but instead of just nerfing its damage we wanted to take this opportunity to realign with its identity as the fast auto-shotty. We’ve re-worked its damage profile into rapid fire blasts with reduced damage.
SMG
All SMGs (Previous Hotfix)
Increased headshot damage by 1
Volt SMG (Previous Hotfix)
Improved hipfire values by normalizing it to the other SMGs
SNIPER
Charge Rifle
Increased limb damage to 0.9 (was 0.7)
Longbow
Increased limb damage to 0.8 (was 0.7)
Sentinel
Increased limb damage to 0.9 (was 0.7)
Dev Note: We found the recent nerf to sniper limb damage to be a bit too punishing. Landing those long range shots should feel rewarding so we’re bumping back up the limb damage to help snipers feel more consistent and useful.

Blocks
Dried Ghast
Can be found in the Nether in Nether Fossil structures
Can be crafted with 1 Bone block and 8 Ghast Tears
When waterlogged it undergoes 3 states over about 20 minutes until it spawns a Ghastling mob
Makes sounds and shows particles depending on state
If mined during the waterlogging, it will revert to its “dry” state regardless of what state it has reached during waterlogging
Will revert states back to its initial “dry” state when it is taken away from being waterlogged, using the same time scale
Mobs
Ghastling
Ghastling is a young version of the Happy Ghast mob.
Spawns from a Dried Ghast block that has continuously been waterlogged for about 20 minutes.
After spawning, the Ghastling will try and follow:
Players within a 16-block radius or
An adult, non-aquatic passive mob (and some neutral mobs) within a 16-block radius
If no player or suitable mob is close around the Ghastling will idle around within 32 blocks from its home position (where it spawned or last was interacted with).
Can be tempted and fed using Snowballs
Will grow up into a Happy Ghast after about 20 minutes (or faster if fed Snowballs)
Can be summoned using the command: “/summon happy_ghast ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ minecraft:spawn_baby
Happy Ghast
The Happy Ghast is a new flying mount that can carry up to four players.
Spawns from a Ghastling after about 20 minutes (or faster if Ghastling is fed Snowballs)
Can be equipped with a harness and then be mounted by up to 4 players
Tempted by Snowballs and Harness. Harness tempting only works if the Happy Ghast is unharnessed
Has no panic behavior when taking damage
Cannot be bred
Slowly regenerates health, with regeneration speeding up during rain, snow or when flying at the same height as clouds are rendered
The first player that mounts the Happy Ghast will control it, sitting in front of the Happy Ghast, just above its face
When a player mounts, the goggles on the Happy Ghast go down to cover its eyes, indicating that it now can be controlled
Other players who mount after the pilot is mounted, are placed in slots on each side of the Happy Ghast, starting clockwise from the “pilot” player
Pressing crouch button dismounts the player on top of the Happy Ghast
If the Happy Ghast detects players on top of it, it then ceases all movement and aligns to the closest cardinal horizontal direction
This happens regardless of it having a harness equipped or not
3rd person camera is moved back when player is mounted on the Happy Ghast
When there are no players mounted or walking on the Happy Ghast, the goggles go up and the Happy Ghast starts to roam around the home position
If players dismount midair, the Happy Ghast will descend towards the ground before it resumes roaming
Cannot enter boats
Idles around within 64 blocks from its home position (where it spawned or last was interacted with)
If wearing a harness, the Happy Ghast idles closer to the home position (within 32 blocks).
The Happy Ghast will try to stay close to blocks when roaming on its own
Known Issue: The Happy Ghast’s health is currently set to 40 when it should be 20. We will be addressing this as soon as possible!
Ghast
Updated Ghast texture
Items
Harness
Harness is a new item that can be equipped on a Happy Ghast to allow players to ride it.
Crafted out of 3 leather, 2 glass blocks and 1 wool block, the harness will have the same color as the wool block used when crafting
Can be re-dyed
Can only be equipped on a Happy Ghast
Allows up to 4 players to mount the Happy Ghast
Can be removed from the Happy Ghast using Shears but only when no players are mounted
Commands
Added the Game Rule command locatorBar to enable or disable the Locator Bar feature
Vibrant Visuals
The features, lighting, effects, and assets are still in development, so expect things to change and improve over time as we continue to iterate.
Supported devices include Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC.
Android: Adreno 640, Mali-G68, Mali-G77, or Xclipse 530 or higher
iOS: A12 or M1 or higher
PC: Running Minecraft on DX12
Our team is hard at work testing Vibrant Visuals on even more Minecraft: Bedrock Edition devices, and we hope to be able to update this list of supported devices in the future.
To use Vibrant Visuals in a World, you must enable the “Vibrant Visuals” toggle in the Experimental tab in the Create New World or Edit World screens. This will expose Vibrant Visuals as an option in the in-game Video settings Graphics Mode dropdown, which can then be selected alongside the other existing rendering modes.
Presets for choosing between “Favor Visuals” and “Favor Performance” are available in the Video Settings. Specific feature and visual settings can also be adjusted by expanding “Vibrant Visuals Options”.
Splitscreen is not supported with Vibrant Visuals and the game will switch to Fancy or Simple rendering if multiple players are joined locally.
Marketplace Add-Ons, Skins, and Persona items will work with Vibrant Visuals, however, Worlds and Texture Packs are not compatible with the new mode at this time.
Known Issues
Some visual corruptions may exist on certain Android devices, particularly with Mali GPUs
Surfaces deeper than eight blocks underwater are dark
Light may leak into underground areas or shadows may pop in and out, especially near cave entrances
Textures may turn pink after suspend and resume, opening Settings, or exiting world
Metallic surfaces might appear with some visual bugs in certain conditions
Emissive surfaces might not glow or appear white in certain conditions
Locator Bar
The Locator Bar is a new UI element on the Player HUD that displays the direction of other Players in the World.
When the Locator Bar Experiment is enabled and there are multiple Players in a World, the Locator Bar will appear on-screen for each Player, replacing the Experience Bar. The Player Level number will still be visible as before above the Locator Bar.
The Locator Bar will display colored indicators when the camera is facing within 120 degrees towards another Player. If another Player is 30 degrees above or below the camera’s viewport (the screen) an up or down arrow will be displayed.
Crouching will hide the Player, preventing their indicator from appearing on the Locator Bar of other Players.
Players in Spectator Mode are not visible on the Locator Bar.
A Mob Head or a Carved Pumpkin will similarly hide Players from the Locator Bar when worn in the head slot.
Using a Potion of Invisibility will also hide players from the Locator Bar.
Developer’s note: When the Locator Bar moves out of experimental, we plan on making it a feature that Players can toggle on and off.
Player Dots on the Locator Bar now show correctly regardless of Simulation Distance
Dots are now shown representing Players in Spectator Mode to other Players also in Spectator Mode on the Locator Bar
There are also a ton of technical updates available in case you’re interested in that. Same as with any major update, don’t be surprised to see a follow-up patch be released to fix any issues that crops up form this one.
The Arc Raiders playtest is ending later today, and while the test itself was by invite only, it seems the title has already managed to pull off some impressive feats.
Fallout 76 update 2.06 is now available for download on consoles and PC, and this was released during the game’s hours-long maintenance. Players can expect a smaller patch than usual, and this brings the Big Bloom Event to players.
Alongside the event, there are also a couple of fixes slotted in, which should be welcomed by players since they affect the Catalyst quest issues they have been experiencing.
Fallout 76’s New Update Drops the Big Bloom Event and Fixes The Catalyst Quest Progression Issues
Bethesda says this kicks off the new seasonal event The Big Bloom. Players can also expect stability improvements that support this new event.
Main Fix in Latest Fallout 76 Patch
Fixes The Catalyst questline and addresses instances where players were disconnected from the game while interacting with the Ammo Storage Box. Once the patch has been downloaded, those stuck on The Catalyst quest will need to head to Fort Atlas and pick up the quest “Forging Trust” to proceed through the questline.
That’s about it when it comes to fixes. Unfortunately, a lot of other gameplay issues have not been resolved, though we’re hoping that changes soon. If ever that happens, expect it up here on MP1st.

Blocks
