Earlier today, well-known leaker billbil-kun hinted at the possibility of upcoming news about “a new version of hardware you’re very familiar with,” strongly suggesting that the PS5 Pro might be the subject of this leak. This speculation has now turned into reality, as the insider has just released an image revealing the console’s design, along with a possible launch window.
The information comes from billbil-kun, who claims that the PS5 Pro design will closely resemble the PS5 Slim model. According to the insider, the packaging for the PS5 Pro displays an image of the console’s design. The sketch indicates a design similar to the PS5 Slim but with three black stripes across the middle. Additionally, the PS5 Pro might be slightly thicker than the PS5 Slim, with likely compatibility with existing faceplates.
Sketch of the PS5 Pro design (Credits: Dealabs)
As for the features, there is no confirmation yet on whether the PS5 Pro will include a disc drive, since the leaked image only shows a digital version. The PS5 Pro could launch either as a digital-only edition or with an optional disc drive, much like the PS5 Slim. The announcement is expected in the first half of September, but the exact date is unclear.
Well, that’s all the information that has come to light thanks to this leak. Since this information comes from a relatively reliable source, it’s likely that these details are accurate. That said, please don’t take any of this as fact just yet since they’re not official in any way. Now, we just need to wait for an official statement from PlayStation.

New Content:
Update 1.1.0
New Descendant: Hailey
– Added “Hailey Scott.”
Hailey Skills
– [Passive Skill] Safe Strategic Retreat: The “Weak Point Damage” decreases when attacking nearby enemies, and increases when attacking distant enemies.
– [Active Skill 1] Cryo Round: Fires multiple Cryo Rounds at enemies to deal damage and inflict “Cryo.”
ㄴ Enemies inflicted with “Cryo” receive additional damage from Hailey’s firearm attacks.
– [Active Skill 2] Storm Snare: “Knocks back” enemies with a “Chill Vortex” and fires a giant Freezing Beam. Hit enemies are inflicted with “Cryo.”
– [Active Skill 3] Cold Fury: Grants “Cold Fury” to herself every second.
ㄴ While in the “Cold Fury” state, her Movement Speed gradually decreases, but her Firearm Penetration and Critical Hit Rate for Firearms and Skills all increase significantly.
ㄴ Once “Cold Fury” reaches maximum stacks, she becomes immune to “Knockdown” and her Firearm and Skill Critical Hit Damage increases.
– [Active Skill 4] Zenith: Equips her “Unique Weapon.” When attacking with the “Unique Weapon,” greatly increases Penetration and Firearm ATK and deals additional Chill skill damage. Recovers MP upon attacking Weak Points. When the “Unique Weapon” skill ends, decreases the Cooldown of the skill depending on the number of bullets.
– Hailey’s “Enhanced Cell DNA,” “Stabilizer Components,” “Spiral Catalyst Links,” and “Data Chips” can be acquired by completing “Invasion Dungeons.”
ㄴ Clear any Invasion Dungeon to acquire one of Hailey’s Research Materials with a 100% chance.
ㄴ Clear Invasion Dungeons faster to acquire up to 3 Hailey Research Materials at once.
ㄴ Invasion events occur daily in two dungeons. Invasion Dungeons can be cleared twice per day.
– Hailey’s Research Materials can also be acquired by defeating monsters in Hard Infiltration Operations. To farm Hailey’s research materials faster, participate in the following Hard Infiltration Operations.

ㄴ Hailey Stabilizer Component: [Vespers] [Hard] – The Shelter, [Echo Swamp] [Hard] – The Chapel

– Invasion Dungeons have unique mechanics for each Vulgus Legion, requiring different strategies.
ㄴ Legion of Immortality: The “Phase Separation Veil” blocks the entrance. As it nullifies all attacks, you need to overload it and shut it down. Defeat the enemies and feed their “Artificial Brains” into the Quantum Computing Unit. Unlock the entrance while the “Phase Separation Veil” is down.
ㄴ Order of Truth: You must survive the explosion from Inversion Energy and ancient Arche. Remove malignant tumors from the “Arche Pillar” and identify its symbol. You must find the “Ancestor Drone” that matches the symbol. After surviving the explosion, destroy the “Wall of Malignant Tumors” with the “Inversion Energy Emitter.”
ㄴ Legion of Darkness: You must disable the encryption system sealed with Inversion Energy. Climb the “Central Control Unit” and identify the trait of the “Arche Tile” with Guide’s help. Occupy “Arche Tiles” of the same color to decode the encryption. The Legion of Darkness Vulgus will try to take back the “Arche Tiles.”
– The faster you clear Invasion Dungeons, the more Hailey Research Materials you can acquire.
– Clear Invasion Dungeons to acquire Gold and “Ironheart Particles (Inversion Reinforcement EXP).”
Inversion Reinforcement
– You can check the Inversion Reinforcement from your Inventory.
– Acquire “Ironheart Particles (Inversion Reinforcement EXP)” to level up your “Inversion Reinforcer.”

ㄴ The Inversion Reinforcement Effects are applied to all Descendants.

– You can now acquire rare basic materials as a reward for completing Hard Infiltration Operations.
– Increased EXP for defeating monsters in Normal Infiltration Operations by 1.5 times.
# Director’s Comment
The 1.1.0 update brings many changes to Hard Infiltration Operations. We’ve changed some of the pre-existing missions such as Occupation, Defense, and Escort to Extermination or Destruction to give players a run-and-gun styled fast-paced combat experience as they enjoy repeated farming. The reward system has also been adjusted to reflect this: we’ve significantly increased the amount of EXP gained from defeating monsters and completing missions in Hard Infiltration Operations, and while Special Operations are still the better option for farming EXP, Infiltration Operations can now provide a decent amount of EXP as players farm items. Additionally, we’ve increased the amount of rare basic materials you can receive from clearing Hard Infiltration Operations. We’ll continue to add more content that allows players to enjoy their favorite styles of combat.
– Added directions to appear when using Ecive during missions.
– Monsters will no longer target players who are participating in other missions.
– Story dialogues will no longer be repeated in Hard Difficulty missions. As a result, Hard Difficulty missions will not play additional voice lines or subtitles.
– Changed the Immunity mechanics of certain Named Monsters. Replaced the sphere destruction mechanic of Eterllick, Celdir, Dmigor, and Plaudia with shooting weak points.
– Increased the barrier hit range of Named Monster Eterllick.
– Players will no longer be teleported when joining Largescale Outpost missions.
– Increased the Gold reward for completing Hard Difficulty Largescale Outposts by approximately 3 times.
– Improved the routes so that shards acquired from Void Fragments can be used on the Fusion Reactor in the same battlefield.
– More than doubled the amount of shards obtained from Void Fragments.
– Changed monster types and spawn locations in certain Void Fragment missions.
– Removed the starting requirements (Void Shards) of Void Fusion Reactors and added requirements (Void Shards) to the Reconstructed Devices that appear in Fusion Reactors.
– Made an improvement so that only one type of shard is required when using the Reconstructed Device in a Void Fusion Reactor.
– Reduced the time to interact with Reconstructed Devices.
– Summoned Reconstructed Devices now expire 10 seconds after all participants have used them.
# Director’s Comment
With the 1.1.0 update, we’ve made adjustments so that a single playthrough of a Void Fragment will yield enough Void Shards to use the Reconstructed Devices in Fusion Reactors once. We’ve also improved accessibility by making Void Fragments and Fusion Reactors on the same battlefield drop and require the same type of shards. While you can still obtain two types of shards from Void Fragments, the Reconstructed Devices in Fusion Reactors now require only one type of shard, further improving accessibility.
We are constantly monitoring feedback to further improve Outposts and Void Fragments. For long-term improvements, the dev team is considering ideas to evolve Outposts into a non-stop combat experience, as well as improving the farming accessibility of Void Fragments and Fusion Reactors with the integration of content.
In this 1.1.0 update, we’ve also changed the spawn location of certain Void Fragment missions to provide an efficient way to farm shards for each attribute. In addition, we’ve added snipers in certain Void Fragment areas to prevent the use of macros.
in certain Void Fragment areas
We hope these changes will make your farming experience more enjoyable.
– Players can now view the “Past Mission Results” from the menu after completing Special Operations, allowing them to restart the mission.
– Improved display of the mission tooltip information on the Special Operation and Infiltration Operation World Map screen.
– More than doubled the amount of shards that can be picked up in Special Operations.
– Acquire additional Descendant EXP when completing waves in Special Operations.
# Director’s Comment
We’ve made adjustments to Special Operations so that there is improved efficiency when farming EXP. While we recognize many players enjoy leveling up through Sterile Land Mine Blocking, we still believe it’s not as rewarding as other EXP farms that require a simpler play, such as Void Fragments.
As a result, in this update, we’ve added EXP when clearing waves in Special Operations. The fastest, “Mine Blockade,” will now give you about 1.5 times more EXP than before, while “Resource Defense” and “Neutralize Experiment” will give you 2 times more EXP. We hope this will help players level up more efficiently across various Special Operations.
(2) UI/UX
– Fixed issue to allow multiple socket types to be assigned to a single module socket.
ㄴ The socket type applied to Loadout Setting 1 can also be used for Settings 2 and 3 as well.
– For slots with multiple socket types, the socket type can be changed from the selected menu
ㄴ Each socket type for Loadout Settings 1, 2, 3 can be changed so they all may differ.
– Fixed issue to allow the dismantling of equipment during combat.
– Added dead zone settings to the game controller options.
– Made improvements so that the Amorphous Materials linked to Fusion Reactors are displayed in the acquisition information, like Intercept Battles.
– Made improvements to allow the ability to designate the quantity of researches when researching enhancement materials.
– Reduced research time for [Standard/Precision] Ion Accelerator, Phase Exchanger, and Adjustment Control Axis.
# Director’s Comment
We have added the ability to select the quantity of researches when researching enhancement materials. One consequence of this change is that only two studies in the research list will result for each enhancement material. This means, previously, multiple Adjustment Control Axis could be simultaneously created; now, when it comes to Adjustment Control Axis, only two can be researched at the same time.
With the addition of the research quantity selection feature, players can now research up to 500 Adjustment Control Axis at a time. This allows them to conduct more research in one go, reducing the number of visits to Anais. However, the inability to simultaneously conduct multiple research will reduce the amount of enhancement materials that can be acquired in a short period of time.
While we want to give players new features, we also want to make sure that players in certain situations aren’t losing out. As a result, we’ve shortened the time it takes to research enhancement materials so that despite only doing one research at a time, you’ll still acquire a similar amount of enhancement materials as before. We hope this will help players research and utilize enhancement materials more efficiently.
– Made improvements to display only modules you have in duplicate when combining modules.
– Increased the number of symbols that can be displayed, when designating them as Attached Items, to 8.
– Made improvements to allow the ability to set an “Equipment Option” category in “Filter all as junk” for Reactors and External Components in equipment.
– Changed the display location and design of the random options to improve inventory slots. Removed displays for the Reactor’s attributes/Arche type and fixed the display for External Components set effects.
– The Reactor icon has changed so that it now varies, depending on the Arche type.
– Changed some External Component icons to differentiate their appearance based on their DEF, Shield, and HP stats.
# Director’s Comment
Previously, in Update 1.0.7, we added information for random options, Arche type of Reactors, and External Component sets for item icons. The feedback we received was, that players were distracted, as there was too much information included. Based on this, we’ve made improvements so that the icon information is presented in a cleaner, more organized way. Dev Team will continue to listen to the valuable feedback given by community and players as we continue to make improvements to the game.

# Director’s Comment
In this update, we’ve made balance adjustments to Ajax, Blair, and Jayber. We’ve been closely analyzing feedback from the community and continue to monitor all Descendants and Ultimate Weapons. Don’t forget, the patch has been split into two sections, and the second patch is dropping this October 10! Don’t be surprised to see another patch be released in between to fix any bugs that surface.
Nintendo has released the Splatoon 3 update version 9.0.0 patch notes ahead of the update’s release. This includes changes to amiibo, loads of weapon changes, and a lot more. There’s a lot to take in, so dive in!

Changes to Connectivity
Improved connectivity programming to shorten the time between sent data being received by recipients and the response that is then returned.
For general connectivity during multiplayer, an average reduction of approximately 0.4/60 second is expected.
The amount of reduction will vary depending on the amount of information being sent back and forth via connectivity and on the processing load.
In situations such as dealing damage to or defeating opponents, an average reduction of approximately 3.4/60 second is expected.

In X Battles, made it less likely for players to be matched again with players they just encountered in the previous X Battle.
This will not completely prevent players from being matched again with players they just encountered in the previous X Battle.
Made it so that Japan and regions near it cannot select Tentatek Division when selecting an X Battles division.
Changes to Splatfests
Made it possible for players who achieve a Splatfest Title of Ruler or higher to board the Splatfest Float and take pictures with the allies they last won a Splatfest Battle (Open) or Splatfest Battle (Pro) with.
Made it so that players can choose additional poses from atop the Splatfest Float after achieving a Splatfest Title of Ruler +1 or higher.
Made it possible to select a Deep Cut pose atop the Splatfest Float.
Made it possible for players who have downloaded the Expansion Pass to select Squid Sisters and Off the Hook poses atop the Splatfest Float.
Changes to Salmon Run
Added data for a special Big Run.
Added an item that can be exchanged for fish scales.
Made it so that you can get capsules containing fish scales from the reward meter.
The gear you can get from the reward meter will now change each shift rather than each month.
Other Changes
Reduced the XP required for a weapon’s Freshness to reach 1 ★ from 10,000 to 5,000 to make it easier to get Sheldon Licenses.
The total XP required to reach 2 ★ or higher will not change.
Weapons that had 5,000 XP or more but less than 10,000 XP before applying the update data will reach 1 ★ after applying the update data and using that weapon once in battle.
Changed the design of some Splashtag banner designs.
This update focuses on adding data for a special Big Run that will be held in the near future, improving connectivity, and making adjustments to battles.
In regards to connectivity, we have reduced the time it takes to convey the things that happen in-game to the other players by optimizing the game’s internal processing and adjusting the communication control processing.
For multiplayer balance, we made the changes that we previously notified you about to lower the performance of some select weapons.
The Squeezer and Foil Squeezer were intended as weapons that are difficult to master but can produce high performance when mastered. However, because their shots could reach from a long distance and because they had high movement speed while firing, it was easy to make a lot of attempts, which made it easier to make up for the control difficulty. For that reason, their performance has been reduced.
For the Range Blaster and the Custom Range Blaster, by reducing the area of the attack and inking due to the explosion, we maintained the property of dealing damage to opponents you aim for carefully while reducing the property that deals damage to opponents whose positions are not precisely known.
Our intention with both weapons is to make it so that players who specialize in other weapons are not forced to switch to these weapons, while also maintaining a level of performance sufficient enough for players who already specialized in these weapons to continue to fight using them.
For the Snipewriter 5H and the Snipewriter 5B, we slightly reduced their ability to maintain inking status from a distance.
With the Slosher, Slosher Deco, and Order Slosher Replica, we have adjusted performance and points required for specials to make them like many other sloshers in that they have high instantaneous fighting and inking power, but when fighting with them continuously over time, it is easy to run out of ink.
Regarding the Heavy Edit Splatling and the Heavy Edit Splatling Nouveau, we changed the aspect of them where, in comparison to other splatlings with shorter flying distances, they were very effective at maintaining ink coverage when exchanging fire across areas such as Splat Zones.
For the Wellstring V and the Custom Wellstring V, we made changes to slightly lower performance when maintaining inking status from a distance.
With the Trizooka, we made changes to increase the opening when used on an opponent at close range, and also slightly increased the time to find a safe place to take cover after hearing an opponent’s Trizooka’s activation noise.
Additionally, we have changed it so that Japan and regions nearby it cannot participate in the Tentatek Division for X Battles.
Of the total number of players in Japan and nearby regions, an extremely small percent select Tentatek Division (the division for the Americas and Europe) despite living in Japan or nearby regions. However, we have made this change because it has reached a percentage that has a negative effect on rankings among players participating in the Tentatek Division.
The next update will focus on adding data for the Grand Festival.

Curious what the Black Ops 6 mastery camos are? We got you covered.
In Black Ops 6, not only will players have mastery camos for multiplayer, but there’s also mastery camos for Zombies and even for Warzone too! Check out the demo of each one below.

We are in an era of video games where the standard price for major releases has been set at $70. This price point is already reflected in big games that are coming out on current platforms like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Even Nintendo joined this trend with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, which also launched at this price. However, some believe a new pricing standard could be established next year with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6.
Michael Douse, a developer behind Baldur’s Gate 3, recently expressed his thoughts on this topic. Speaking on X, he criticized what he called the “artificial pricing structures” of games today.
He said:
I don’t love the artificiality of pricing structures post retail. Use the inflated base price to upsell a subscription, and use vague content promises to inflate ultimate editions to make the base price look better. It all seems a bit dangerous & disconnected from the community.
I think a game should be priced accordingly with its quality, breadth & depth. I’m not against higher prices, but this arbitrary uniformity just doesn’t make sense to me. It feels so unserious.
Almost all games should cost more at a base level because the cost of making them (inflation, for one) is outpacing pricing trends. But I don’t think we’ll get there with DLC promises so much as quality & communication. Everyone’s just waiting for GTA6 to do it lol.
Douse suggested that, due to rising development costs, many games should have higher base prices. He pointed to GTA 6 as a potential trendsetter, noting that if Rockstar Games decides to price its next blockbuster above $70 and it sells well, other companies might follow this trend.
Rockstar Games has yet to announce the price for GTA 6. However, if the game exceeds the $70 mark and succeeds, it could encourage other developers to reconsider their pricing strategies for upcoming releases.

The pre-production on the new Witcher game, currently codenamed Project Polaris, seems to be going smoothly as a recent update from CD Projekt RED has confirmed that they’ll soon be entering into full production.
In a post shared by the studio reflecting on the first half of 2024, CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Project Polaris will soon enter full production.
– Work on Polaris is progressing – its development team is nearing a major milestone which will mark the end of the preproduction phase. The first half of the year was also a busy period for our Boston st – a new game set in the Cyberpunk universe – says Michał Nowakowski, Joint CEO of CD PROJEKT.
With nearly all of CD Projekt Red now working on the new Witcher game since development ended on Cyberpunk 2077 this past May, this news should come as no surprise. The title itself is still, of course, a way out, with us predicting at least two to three years before we have anything major, though small teasers and a proper title reveal are expected to come prior.
Little much is known about the title, though the voice actor of the series’ lead character did comment recently that Geralt wouldn’t be the lead this time around but would still be in it in some capacity.

Features and Bug Fixes
Gameplay
Reverted a change that caused several bugs with the Mace regarding stacking, enchanting, and durability. As a consequence, mobs are once again unable to do Mace Smash attacks. This will be fixed at a later time (MCPE-185896 )
The last beta patch we got last week included a long number of fixes, which we listed here.
Sony has kicked off another PlayStation Store sale this August 28, and this is one is called the “Dealmania” promotion! There are over 2,000 items discounted, with a lot of AAA titles available. Read on for the complete list of available discounts and our recommendations as well.
PlayStation Store “Dealmania” Sale List of Games – Ends 9/11:
Note: We have enabled a collapsible table for the games given the huge list. To see the games in each list, click on the black arrow and/or the letters (A – E, F – J, K – O, P – T, U – Z).
GTA 5 (-50%, $19.99) – Who still doesn’t have GTA 5, right? If you still haven’t played it, this might be as low as it’ll get since it’s GTA. PS4 version also on sale for $5 less.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (-67%, $19.79) – Best western game of all-time? Maybe. Loads of stuff to do, lots of Easter eggs, and the story and voice acting is fantastic as well.
Hogwarts Legacy (-70%, $20.99) – PS4 version is also on sale for $2 less, but get this one. Might be able to let you relive your Harry Potter fantasies (not that fantasy, perv!) though there’s no multiplayer. Be prepared to kill more wizards than Voldemort in your run though.
WWE 2K24 Deluxe (-40%, $59.99) – Includes the Season Pass. More polished than previous versions, but not as bad as previous iterations. Season Pass includes loads of new wrestlers with more out next month.
Grounded (-40%, $23.99) -Survival action game developed by Obsidian and can be played in first-person or third-person. Premise is different since you”ve shrunk to the size of an ant and trying to survive your backyard.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (-55%, $31.49) – Cal’s second adventure. Doesn’t feel as epic as the first one to be honest, but less bugs, less backtracking, and Cal has learned to run like a normal person here. Loads of secrets, will make you feel like a badass Jedi.
It Takes Two (-65%, $13.99) – Seems like it’s always on sale. Needs a co-op buddy to play this with but definitely worth a look.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (-50%, $34.99) – Open world Ubi with Avatar coating. Kidding! Better than expected, and not just a shameless license cashgrab.
Dead Island 2 (-50%, $34.99) – Not bad, and might be one of the only things Embracer produced that actually made money. More DLC headed out as well.
No Man’s Sky (-60%, $23.99) – Still heavily supported with major title updates every few months, and Hello Games has been on the ball when it comes to fixing issues. Definitely worth the money and hype now compared to when it launched.
AC Valhalla (-75%, $14.99) – Super long and it’s Assassin’s Creed with beards and vikings. This is packed with a lot of stuff, but some might feel it overstays its welcome (haven’t finished it).
The Last of Us Part I (43%, $39.89) – If you still haven’t played this, definitely worth a buy. Includes Left Behind prequel. Bring your tissues and maybe diapers.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (-30%, $41.99) – Cannot recommend this enough. This is NOT AAA but AA, though it straddles that line. Combat is its weakest point, but story, voice acting, side quests, etc. are excellent. Lots of secrets and repeatable dungeons too.
Battlefield 2042 (-85%, $10.49) – PS4 version is available for about $2 less. DICE managed to somehow salvage this and at that price, it’s worth it. Servers still populated, and it’s been patched a ton to make it play like your traditional BF game. Nowhere near the best entry in the franchise, but a solid shooter.
Outlast Trials Deluxe (-33%, $33.49) – Still heavily supported, and it’s playable with four more players. It’s Outlast horror but with more players.
GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition (-50%, $29.99) – Not always on sale, and it got updates after the complaints. Not sure at its state now though, but if it got patched in a major way, then might be worth a look.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (-77%, $19.54) – RPG Dragon Ball style! Includes the Season Pass as well. Tired of DBZ fighters? Then this might fit the bill.
Hi-Fi Rush (-40%, $17.99) – Tango’s last project before moving to Krafton. Will have a sequel for sure, but this one is definitely worth playing for its quirkiness and upbeat style.
God of War (-50%, $9.99) The reboot or otherwise known as the Boy edition. If you’ve been living under a rock, haven’t claimed this in the countless freebies this was included in, then go pick this up. Wrap yourself in the warmth of Chris Judge’s husky voice.
Watch Dogs 2 (-90%, $4.99) – Underwhelming when it launched, but at that price, worth a shot. Just don’t expect too much.
Star Wars Battlefront II (-70%, $5.99) – If player base is still there, then definitely worth it. Has the best blaster gameplay (Outlaws, take notes!), and it feels awesome playing as a hero and just swathing away loads of players. Wanted to forcechoke an enemy? Yeah, that feels insanely good.
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga (-75%, $19.99) – The trilogy in LEGO form and family friendly! Way better than it should be.
Lords of the Fallen Deluxe (-50%, $39.99) – Souls with designs eerily similar to Elden Ring. Loads of updates released with new modes, etc. Might not be as polished and more frustrating than From’s games, but this has its own player base, so they must be doing something right.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (-60%, $15.99) – Includes remasters of the first three Crash games. Harder than you remember, and if you’re looking for some platforming goodness, this could be it.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (-75%, $9.99) – Loads of backtracking, Cal runs like he has adult diapers filled with poop. Loads of hours of content, story isn’t bad, and you can buy the sequel on sale if you like this.
Alone in the Dark (-30%, $41.99) – Still not worth it at that price. Lots of jank, underwhelming visuals and combat. Including it here so people know to wait for it to drop more before buying.
Midnight Suns (-75%, $17.49) – Strategy with Marvel characters. More fun than expected and has a good story length too. Lots of DLCs out as well and on sale if you want to continue the adventure.
Payday 3 (-60%, $15.99) – One of the biggest multiplayer launch disasters of all-time. Not sure if it has recovered. More DLCs, updates on the way. If you ever wanted to rob and play with friends, then give this a go?
Batman Arkham Knight (-80%, $3.99) – Can’t really recommend this since Arkham Collection goes on sale regularly and contains the other titles. 30fps blah blah blah. Wait for the collection sale.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (-35%, $32.49) – Might be the first time this is on sale. Old school RPG and getting support til now.
Back 4 Blood (-90%, $5.99) Yes, taste is subjective. If you have friends who want to play co-op and are on a budget, this might do the trick. Servers are still up but support has ended as Turtle Rock has moved on to their next project.
NFS Unbound (-$85%, $10.49) – A more cartoon-ish and less serious take on NFS. Just got its Most Wanted update, which is definitely worth a look since it brings Most Wanted cops and whatnot into the game.
LA Noire (-50%, $19.99) – Amazing graphics at the time, and makes you feel like a detective. Just don’t expect GTA craziness as this is much slower and has you deduce stuff instead of just shooting everyone and running away.
Little Nightmares I & II (-70%, $14.99) – Definitely worth the price. Each game is at least 8-10 hours long with trial and error, and there’s some replayability of sorts even. Fun to play with your partner, kids since it’s not too scary.
Gotham Knights (-80%, $%13.99) – Support has ended, but it does its job that it lets you pay as part of the Bat Family and kick ass in Gotham. Each character has their own moveset, traversal mode and stuff.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (-85%, $8.99) – The best deal in the entire sale. If you haven’t picked this up before, or you’ve heard good things about it, then yeah. Go pick this up. Literally over a hundred hours of game time. Story is awesome, Commander Shepard is awesome, combat is awesome, and being able to punch an ass reporter in the face is super awesome.
BioShock The Collection – (-80%, $9.99) – Might feel dated somewhat? But the premise of the first one is very, very well made. If the story isn’t spoiled yet, go pick it up. Even Infinite is solid, though the weakest of the bunch.
Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection (-50%, $9.99) – Weird that Sony hasn’t released one yet that includes Uncharted 4. If you have yet to play Naughty Dog’s finest work (yes, I said it), then go do it. Indiana Jones but with a higher body count, and lots of setpieces.
Mafia Definitive Edition (-80%, $7.99) -Remake of the original. Might be a good time to dip since the new Mafia game has been confirmed.
Remnant 2 Deluxe (-50%, $29.99) – Underrated, and a solid Souls-like with more emphasis on shooting stuff. Some bosses are frustrating, and there’s a lot of puzzles as well. Still being supported and I think has one more DLC on the way with two already released.
Death Stranding (-50%, $29.99) – Kojima’s walking simulator, and has a sequel on the way. Gorgeous visuals, just be prepared to think a lot?
Crusader Kings 3 (-60%, $19.99) – Have not played this but friends say this is legit an awesome game. It’s strategy and RPG set in the Middle Ages, and is known as a dynasty sim.
A Plague Tale Bundle (-60, $31.99) – Amazing games, just be mindful there’s a lot of rats. Was free on PS+ before from what I remember.
Shadow of the Colossus (-50%, $9.99) Amazing masterpiece, and has that “wow” factor when fighting these bosses. Underrated story too.
Titanfall 2 (-75%, $4.99) – Never will not recommend this. Amazing single-player, and multiplayer is awesome as well. Not sure how populated it is still though, but it is fun.
Sifu (-60%, $19.99) – Not your typical mindless brawler. Awesome throwback to old Kung-Fu movies as well.
Evil West (-60%, $23.99) – Not AAA and a linear game, but it’s got that campy charm. Vampires, Wild West, and you have a gun + powers!
Control (-75%, $9.99) – More unhinged than Alan Wake and ties into that universe as well. Season Pass is also on sale for $4.49. Third -person action Remedy style.
Aliens Dark Descent (-50%, $19.99) – Fun but friggin’ hard! Expect to lose lots of marines along the way.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 (-65%, $13.99) The game that made Tony Hawk a household name. Not a big skateboarding fan but bought it way back then. Remake still fun.
Anthem (-85%, $2.99) Try this to see what could have been EA’s Destiny game. Flight mechanics will give you that Iron Man feels, but lots of repetition and endgame is non-existent. Support has ended.
Outriders Complete Edition (-35%, $19.49) – Includes Worldslayer expansion. Insanely underrated, fun to co-op with friends. Loads of builds to experiment on, and lets you be a mob killer in different ways. Even has an endgame baked in that’s not reliant on seasons!
Star Wars Squadrons (-80%, $7.99) – Support has ended but what’s there is solid flying fun. There is a single-player to this that might make it worth it. Not sure if MP is still populated though.
LOTR Gollum (-80%, $11.99) Still not worth it. Promised updates never came. Buy it for your friend and guilt them into playing this to see how much of a friend they are. Loads of bugs and jank, and has no charm sadly.
Prey (-80%, $5.99) – Arkane’s best game? Maybe. Unrelated to the original Prey game released in 2006.
Limbo and Inside Bundle (-75%, $6.74) – Fantastic deal. These two games are what makes indie games special. Amazing experiences that won’t overstay their welcome.
Nioh 2 (-50%, $19.99) – Don’t think this goes on sale often. Souls game done by Team Ninja.

After taking a break for nearly eight years, Bandai Namco is finally back with another mainline game in the long-running Gundam Breaker series. While dubbed Gundam Breaker 4, this is actually the sixth in the series, with New Gundam Breaker and Gundam Breaker Mobile filling in the release gap. Though long-time fans would probably rather forget New Gundam Breaker, given how much it tried to reinvent the wheel of the franchise, which ultimately wasn’t received as well as they’d hoped. So, with the release of Gundam Breaker 4, expectations are rather high for the series, with many hoping a new mainline installment would mean a return to form. Luckily, that seems to be the case with Gundam Breaker 4, though don’t expect it to break any new ground in the franchise.
Fast and Exciting Combat With Endless Customization
By far, Gundam Breaker 4 is a massive upgrade to what was offered in New Gundam Breaker in the sense that it brings back many mechanics that were seen in previous releases that New Gundam Breaker changed. Parts, for example, are no longer limited in what you can carry, something that New Gundam Breaker was heavily criticized. It goes back to the old system seen in the previous mainline, where parts just floated to you rather than having to be precise when walking over them. It’s a slight revert, but it makes all the difference in some much-needed quality-of-life improvements.
In actual gameplay, you can expect it to be closer to Gundam Breaker 3, albeit a bit slower. Combat is pretty standard, with light and heavy attacks being mixed with range attacks. Of course, the variety of combat comes more into play when you swap around with different parts and stats, but for the most part, expect it to play similarly to previous entries. It’s not moving the needle, but I suppose it doesn’t have to do that when it’s already a fun game.
The big difference, though, is with the EX skills, which are now based on filling up gauges rather than being able to use them whenever you want. This is what I mean about combat being slower than Gundam Breaker 3 and even Gundam Breaker 2, as you can’t freely use the skills without filling the gauge first. However, OP skills are on cooldowns, so you can use those more frequently. I do like that we can master skills, meaning once we’ve used it enough times, we’ll be able to use that specific skill on any other part of the same category rather than be restricted to the specific part that skill derives from. Like Burning Gundam’s Burning Finger, a skill acquired by its hand part, it can eventually be used with other hands you may prefer.
That’s still not to say that combat doesn’t feel like a slog at times. This becomes even more true when taking the camera and lock-on system. It’s decent most of the time, that is until you come to face with one of the many bosses in the game. Especially if they fly, locking onto and cycling through parts can be a nightmare as you wrestle for control while having to worry about a time limit and dealing enough damage. Hopefully something that gets improved on with a future update, or at the very least in newer installments.
In terms of mission structure and variety, don’t expect much. They claim to have multiple mission types, but they’re all effectively the same thing. Suppress is just kill all the enemies. Destroy Target is to destroy a specific target in that group of enemies, but you still need to kill most, if not all, the enemies to S rank. Team battle is like the previously mentioned mode, and Destroy Monolith is just destroyed targets, but there’s a monolith that turns invincible until you kill specific targets.
There is, of course, a story, which, while it does see the return of some characters in the form of cameos, is built with new players in mind. This means that playing the previous installment isn’t a requirement to understand what’s going on since it’s more of a solo story rather than one that spans multiple games. Even so, the story in Gundam Breaker 4 is passable, as it’s nothing spectacular, nor does it do much to stand out. It is another tournament story, which we had with Gundam Breaker 3 and New Gundam Breaker.
But the story has never been the series’ strongest suit; that comes more from the level of customization, which Gundam Breaker 4 unsurprisingly excels at. Players can customize nearly every part of their suit, allowing them to build their dream Gunpla. That’s not to say those customizations always look great, as I’ve had my fair share of horrors built, but it’s that level of freedom that fans have grown to love about the franchise, and we’re glad to see the series keeping true to that. The diorama mode makes things even more special and personal, as you can display your Gunpla in various poses, animations, and scenes.
Graphically, Gundam Breaker 4 isn’t very good-looking, but it isn’t the most offensive thing in the world. The PS4 version suffers from some framerate dips (better on PS5) in cutscenes, but in general gameplay, there’s nothing too noticeable. The Gunpla themselves look good, but that’s hard to notice when the environment is bland, recycling many areas throughout the game. The art direction on the characters is pretty cohesive and doesn’t clash even when cameo characters show up.
On the sound front, the game sometimes has some weird mixing. Where music will play and cut off, then play again, taking you out of the moment. The music in the game is generic, and they don’t even use official Gundam tracks; it’s mostly rock themes with a bit of synth in it. You’ll mostly hear the lobby theme and battle theme, and I would recommend just muting the music and playing your own Gundam tracks off YouTube, Spotify, or something. The sound effects are pretty standard, but some aren’t even from the show. If you own all of Gundam there should be no reason for you to not use the correct sound effects from the show. It’s a nitpick, but it’s one that could honestly go a long way, especially on an immersion level.
As a whole Gundam Breaker 4 is still a net positive for the series sporting a whopping 300 mobile suits and playing better than the previous mainline title. It’s essentially a return to form, with some areas still needing some improvements, but overall, it’s a solid entry in the Gundam Breaker franchise. It won’t propel the series to new heights, but it will at least satisfy fans’ itch, at least until the next one comes out.
Score: 7.5/10
Pros:
The gameplay is fun and is a good return to form, even if everything isn’t quite there yet.
There are tons of customization options; build the Gunplay of your dreams.
Diorama Mode is the perfect way to put your Gunpla on display.

Another Battlefield game is being moved to EA Anticheat to combat toxic people ruining the game for everyone. EA has announced that Battlefield 1 will be integrated with EA Anticheat starting September 24!
According to EA, Battlefield V’s move to it in April of this year resulted in 28,000 cheaters removed from the game. Players shouldn’t notice any changes when this is implemented to Battlefield 1 (unless you’re cheating, of course), and this will enable EA’s teams to be better equipped at finding and removing cheaters.
EA has said that the rollout of EA Anticheat to Battlefield games is part of their ongoing effort, and they will continue making adjustments and improvements towards fair play.
There’s also an FAQ for it which we’ve included below.
What is EA anticheat?
EA anticheat is a kernel-mode anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution developed in-house at Electronic Arts. PC cheat developers have increasingly moved into the kernel, so we need to have kernel-mode protections to ensure fair play and tackle PC cheat developers on an even playing field.
As tech-inclined video gamers ourselves, it is important to us to make sure that any kernel anti-cheat included in our games acts with a strong focus on the privacy and security of our gamers that use a PC. Why are you moving to EA anticheat?
Third party anti-cheat solutions are often opaque to our teams, and prevent us from implementing additional privacy controls or customizations that provide greater accuracy and granularity for EA-specific game modes. With EA anticheat we have full stack ownership of the security & privacy posture, so we can fix security issues as soon as they may arise. Why is kernel level anti-cheat needed?
This varies on a game-by-game basis. For games that are highly competitive and contain many online modes such as Battlefield 2042, Battlefield V and Battlefield 1, kernel-mode protection is absolutely vital. When cheat programs operate in kernel space, they can make their cheat functionally invisible to anti-cheat solutions that live in user-mode.
Unfortunately, the last few years have seen a large increase in cheats and cheat techniques operating in kernel-mode, so the only reliable way to detect and block these is to continue to have our anti-cheat operate there as well.
In addition to EA anticheat protecting our PC players from cheaters, our console players who match with PC opponents through Battlefield 2042’s cross-play features will also be protected from cheaters operating on PC platforms. What are the System Requirements for EA anticheat?
We support Windows 10 version 2004, build 10.0.19041 or newer and Windows 11, version 21H2, build 10.0.22000 or newer. Will EA anticheat degrade gameplay?
No. We’ve conducted extensive internal and independent performance and stability assessments to ensure EA anticheat is as performant and lightweight as possible. EA anticheat will have negligible impact on your gameplay. Does EA anticheat run when I start my PC, or only when the game is running?
EA anticheat only runs when a game with EA anticheat protection included is running. All anti-cheat processes shut down when the game does. Does EA anticheat stay on my PC if I uninstall Battlefield 2042 or Battlefield V? Can I uninstall it if I want?
If you have uninstalled all of your EA games that have EA anticheat protection, EA anticheat will automatically uninstall and remove itself from your PC. It can also be manually uninstalled by you at any time you choose and will be completely removed from your PC.
Please note that if you uninstall EA anticheat , any games that require EA anticheat protection (like Battlefield 2042 or Battlefield V) will not be playable until EA anticheat is reinstalled. If you would like to reinstall EA anticheat we’ve made it as easy as possible to do so, with simple prompts in the game launch process. Does EA anticheat let EA see my browsing history, personal files, or things like that?
Player privacy is a top concern of our Game Security & Anti-Cheat team – after all, we’re players as well! EA anticheat will only look at what it needs to for anti-cheat purposes in our games and we have limited the information EA anticheat collects. If you have a process on your PC that is trying to interact with our game, EA anticheat could see that and respond. However, everything else is off limits.
EA anticheat does not gather any information about your browsing history, applications that are not connected to EA games, or anything that is not directly related to anti-cheat protection. We’ve worked with independent, 3rd party computer security and privacy services firms to ensure EA anticheat operates with data privacy top of mind.
For the information that EA anticheat does collect, we strive to maintain privacy where possible through a cryptographic process called hashing to create unique identifiers and discard the original information. Overall, EA anticheat use of your computer and data collection is consistent with EA’s User Agreement and Privacy and Cookie Policy. How do I know that EA anticheat is not introducing any security vulnerabilities to my PC?
Our Game Security & Anti-Cheat team is composed of some of the best security engineers in the world, and we are passionate about ensuring that our software does not cause any security vulnerabilities. Our anti-cheat engineering team performs daily testing and we continuously run security and penetration tests against EA anticheat internally.
But don’t just trust our word on this. We’ve also worked with independent, 3rd party security and privacy assessors to validate EA anticheat does not degrade the security posture of your PC and to ensure strict data privacy boundaries.
Although we’re confident that we’ve taken every possible precaution, we are monitoring and listening to any reports received to make sure that potential issues get addressed as quickly as possible. I think I found a security vulnerability with EA anticheat, who can I contact?
If you believe you’ve found a vulnerability, please let us know by following our Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure process by emailing secure@ea.com right away. We take potential security issues seriously, and will work to fix them as quickly as we can. Where can I get help if I run into issues with EA anticheat?
If you need help to install and troubleshoot EA anticheat on your PC then you can visit our EA Help page.

Battlefield 2042 transitioned to EA Anticheat back in October 2023. While it’s not a 100% foolproof plan to block cheaters (nothing is),this is a good step for fair play in Battlefield 1.
While we know Team Asobi’s Astro Bot is coming to PlayStation 5, the developers have commented on why the game won’t be coming to PSVR2 (PlayStation VR2). In addition to that, the studio also mentioned that they are curious about what players think of a possible PC version as well.
In an interview with MinnMax, Nicolas Doucet, the Creative Director of Astro Bot, was asked about the chances of an Astro Bot VR edition for PlayStation VR2. He responded, “No chance. It’s designed for a different medium.” He clarified that if the game were to be adapted for VR, “it would be a different game.” This statement puts an end to speculation about a VR version, at least for now.
This news may be disappointing to those who remember that the original PSVR kit included Astro Bot Rescue Mission as a free game.
However, when asked about the possibility of a PC version, Doucet was more open, saying, “We want to hear from you. Absolutely, we want to hear from you.” This comment suggests that while there are no current plans for a PC release, fan feedback could influence future decisions.
Of course, given how most first-party PlayStation games are seeing a PC release after a few months or a year, the chances of Astro Bot hitting PC is a very real possibility.
Astro Bot is set to launch on September 6 for the PS5, offering a more expansive adventure than Astro’s Playroom. The new game is expected to be significantly larger, featuring over 80 levels, new abilities, and numerous character cameos. Fans who enjoyed the free game included with the PS5 will likely find plenty to be excited about with this new release.
