One of the biggest hassles of any warranty service for almost all online purchases is waiting days for the product to be repaired or replaced. PCs, and other electronics, especially, as you need to ship the product yourself, wait for the manufacturer to get the item, then wait for the repair to be done, and then wait for it to be shipped and delivered to you. It’s an annoying and lengthy process that can take up to weeks.

The good news is that iBUYPOWER is taking steps to eliminate that hassle, as they’ve just announced a new partnership with the highly popular computer chain, Micro Center, that sees the chain as an authorized dealer for iBUYPOWER products, letting you take your in-warranty iBUYPOWER PCs to any Micro Center for in-store repairs and diagnosis.

Live by a Micro Center? Own an iBUYPOWER PC that’s still under warranty? Or maybe you plan on buying one of their PCs soon? Well, good news: Micro Center is now an authorized service provider for iBUYPOWER. That means they’ll honor iBUYPOWER’s three-year labor and two-year parts warranty, provided you bring proof of purchase when you take in your rig. 

As a PC gamer, I can tell you there is nothing worse than having to mail out dead parts since you bought your components online. I’ve done plenty of RMA requests through Newegg and Amazon, and waiting days for those parts to come back can be pretty frustrating. I can only imagine that process being a lot worse for fully pre-built PCs.

Luckily, iBUYPOWER is making that process a whole lot easier, at least for those who live near a Micro Center.

Fantastic news for all those who live near a Micro Center. Probably the biggest chain in the United States for all PC-related things, and now being able to honor the warranty provided by iBUYPOWER’s warranty dramatically cuts down the hassle that usually comes with servicing a pre-built machine. As someone who lives within a short distance of a Micro Center, it’s a pretty great perk to be able to have your machine serviced without worrying about shipping it and waiting potentially weeks. From experience, Micro Center’s repair turnaround could be the very same day or just a couple of days. 

Less time waiting, more time gaming, who could hate that?

Ghost of Yotei New Game+ Arrives in Upcoming Update Alongside Other New Features

While Sucker Punch Productions has been busy pumping out game updates for Ghost of Yotei, it has never included the one thing players wanted, and that’s New Game+. Fortunately, that’s going to change starting next week, as it’ll be introduced via a patch alongside other new features.

Sucker Punch announced it today, alongside a new trailer and a quick rundown of what else is on the way.

Ghost of Yotei New Game+ Finally Confirmed for November 24

According to Sony, Ghost of Yotei’s New Game+ will be unlocked after finishing the main story. Players will also be able to choose from new difficulty options. The slate of new stuff on the way for free for all base game owners include:

  • New Game+
  • New harder difficulty options
  • Two new Trophies
  • New currency “Ghost Flowers” that players can exchange with a new vendor for new items
  • 30 new cosmetics, which includes new armor sets and weapon dyes
  • 10 new charms
  • Players will be able to earn an additional tier of upgrades for your existing armor sets and weapons
  • Replay content post-game
  • New stat display
  • New accessibility options, including directional button remapping
  • New Photo Mode feature,s including shutter speed, composition grid, new filters

We’re also expecting a slate of bug fixes to be part of the patch rollout, given the game has some nasty bugs still present.

In other Ghost of Yotei news, Sucker Punch mentioned that there was a big part of the game that was cut, but thinks they made the right move. While this upcoming New Game+ patch is a huge one, it won’t be the biggest. Next year, game owners will be getting Ghost of Yotei Legends, which is the game’s multiplayer mode.

Painkiller Hotfix 1 Fires Out as Patch 1.005

Anshar Studios has released the first Painkiller hotfix on consoles and PC, and this brings leaderboards to the shooter, as well as improvements to the game’s controls and more.

Console gamers will see this as Painkiller update 1.005 (complete version 1.005.000), and this also brings a bunch of bug fixes, with the complete details available below.

Track your path through Purgatory. Each location now has its own leaderboard, ranked by the score earned during a raid.

  • Reduced the frequency of in-mission voice lines.

User Experience

  • Fixed an issue where quickly pressing the middle mouse button during the tagging tutorial could block the alt-shot input.

Voice Chat

  • Fixed an issue where communication settings would not save unless the game was restarted.

Visuals & Effects

  • Fixed an issue where the Electrodriver’s alt-fire electricity effect was missing in the Prologue.
  • Fixed an issue where unintended world effects and visual interference could appear on the Character and Weapon selection screens.
  • Fixed an issue where the pressure plate platform in Canyons would visually twitch or glitch.

We’re not expecting a lot of patches for the game, but if the developers release one, expect it here on MP1st.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Hands-On Preview – Nostalgic Yet Modern

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined was formally announced on September 12, 2025. About a month and a half later, MP1st received an invite to play an early build of the game, as work is no doubt ramping up as we near its February 5, 2026 release date. So, how’s the remake going so far? Read our Dragon Quest VII Reimagined preview to find out.

A Unique Angle

From a presentation perspective, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is going for a color-saturated, immediately recognizable-as-fantasy color palette, with well-animated, expressive characters that are actually scans of real-life dolls created specifically to bring the classic characters to life. It’s a unique way to design character models, one that I’m not sure I’ve seen anywhere else. The effect didn’t feel obvious, I mostly thought I was looking at complete CGI. The diorama-style camera angle does make it feel like a toy set come to life, at times.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined has streamlined the story for better pacing, and deeper character development. There will also be brand-new storylines to discover and play through, ensuring even the most die-hard Dragon Quest VII fan will have something new to look forward to when they play this remake. As someone who did not get to play the original, I can appreciate it as an added bonus for what many revere as a fun JRPG.

For our time with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, we played a chapter involving a town being saved by an old man who at first, appears to be a cunning musician who can woo hapless citizens into a jail just by playing a melody. But there is more to the story than that, as we soon saw. Cutscenes featured voice acting, which further drove the story’s tone. This is set against the wider story, which involves collecting stone tablets or assembling them from fragments dropped by larger enemies, each of which presents some problem to solve. Once completed, they affect the world in some way, such as restoring continents that have mysteriously disappeared from this world. It’s a whimsical tale not too dissimilar to JRPGs at the time. The voice work definitely helps bring it to life.

Familiar, Traditional Combat

Combat features traditional turn-based mechanics, though you can choose to have characters automatically perform actions based on your guidance, such as focusing more on offensive, defense, or a mixture of the two, or rather to focus on healing allies ahead of everything else. These tactics can come in handy as it can be easy to forget to heal party members if you’re distracted by combat, for instance.

Difficulty-wise, at least on Normal, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined felt like a decent challenge, though not nearly on the same level as with the Dragon Quest I-II HD 2D Remake, which was decidedly more difficult, especially the first game. I don’t recall ever losing a battle, however, I did come close with at least a couple of my party members dying/needing a revive at various points throughout my time with the game. I’m sure Hard offers a good challenge for seasoned players of the original, but Normal is just fine for anyone at least vaguely familiar with JRPGs.

Expanded Vocation Options

Vocations have been reworked in this remake, now allowing for each character to dual-wield two vocations at once. This can greatly increase the variety and types of spells and abilities that become available to any given character, instantly allowing for countless variations capable of being built.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is shaping up to be a faithful recreation of a 25-year-old game, one that perhaps those of us who might’ve skipped it when we were busy with the latest Final Fantasy can finally check out in a better way. While you await Dragon Quest VII Reimagined’s release on February 5, 2026, why not go ahead and read (or re-read!) our review of the recently released Dragon Quest I-II HD 2D Remake, and appreciate the fact that Dragon Quest fans have been eating pretty well as of late.

Battlefield 6 New Update on November 19 Adjusts Defibrillators, Sabotage Mode Alterations and More

While DICE just released the California Resistance patch yesterday for Battlefield 6 players, it wasn’t without fault. Some of the biggest issues it brought with it is how defibrillators worked, as the update made revives a lot harder than they ought to be.

That changes today, as DICE has released a server-side update for Battlefield 6, and this resolves that issue alongside others.

There is no file download, as the patch will be applied the moment you connect to the game’s servers.

Battlefield 6 Receives Follow-Up Patch After Season 1 Mid-Season Refresh

Defibrillator Adjustments after 1.1.2.0

After changes to the Defibrillators in Update 1.1.2.0 made them more demanding in terms of accuracy and target range, we’ve published a backend update to bring their usability back in line with our original intentions.
We’ve increased their effective hit-boxes and range, which should make Defibrillators feel more consistent with previous gameplay.

Sabotage Mode Alteration

As some of you might have noticed, during the side swap segment of Sabotage there was a unintended 60 second delay duration. Upon investigation this delay also conflicted with AFK timer protections that exist in Battlefield 6. We have now rolled out an update which increases the AFK kick timer in Sabotage to 180 seconds.

Additionally, we have taken the temporary measure to disable bot backfilling in Sabotage and you can expect to see this reintroduced in a later update.

Additional Challenge Changes

Earlier this month, we shipped our first set of changes to the Challenges and Assignments, which included a total of 90+ adjustments. Today’s update focuses on clearer, more consistent descriptions and criteria across Challenges and Assignments, as well as making some of the following challenges easier to achieve.

Where listed, we have also removed some from being obtainable.

Madden NFL 26 Update 1.010 Released for Be All-Madden Content

Electronic Arts has released what appears to be the biggest update to a Madden game ever. Called the “Be All-Madden” title update, console gamers will see this as Madden NFL 26 update 1.010, and this commemorates the greats of the game.

Not only are players getting an All-Madden roster, even Franchise Mode is getting Coach Madden himself!

  • Defensive pass rushers now disengage earlier when the QB starts to scramble out of the pocket
    • DEV NOTE: During our investigation of the QB Juke move behind the LOS we also found that the pass rushers were not disengaging early enough to contain QBs escaping the pocket. Given that QB scrambling has been a consistent point of feedback from our players, this update is aimed at improving overall gameplay balance. The goal is more realistic pocket play while still allowing for strategic QB mobility.

AI Play

  • Modified AI run game playcalling logic – to rely more heavily on their most effective run types.
  • Reduced unnecessary skill moves by ball carriers – inside the tackles and behind the line of scrimmage ball carriers focus on north-south running.
  • Improved AI QB’s taking unnecessary sacks – better consideration of throwing the ball away when all receivers are covered.
  • Improved AI QB decision-making when the game clock is low — QBs now manage the clock better by targeting the end zone or throwing the ball away near halftime and in late-game situations.

Franchise Mode

Wear and Tear Sliders

Added the Wear & Tear sliders to Franchise mode, allowing players to fine-tune how physical performance degradation impacts their teams over time.

These sliders give users more control over how hits, snaps, and recovery affect player health and stamina throughout the season.

You can now independently adjust:

  • Per-Play Impact – How much wear accumulates from each snap or collision.
  • Tackle Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Tackle.
  • Hit Stick Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Hit Stick collision.
  • Cut Stick Impact Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Cut Stick collision.
  • Catch Tackle Scale – How much wear accumulates from each Catch Tackle collision.
  • Time Out Recovery – How much recovery occurs between each Time Out.
  • End of Quarter Recovery – How much recovery occurs between each Quarter
  • Halftime Recovery – How much recovery occurs at Halftime.
  • Per-Game Recovery – How much recovery occurs between games.
  • Per-Week Recovery – How quickly players regain health and stamina week to week.

Implemented preset recovery strategies — Normal, Keep It Fresh, and Grind It Out — for each position group, complementing the new Wear & Tear sliders to enhance control over player fatigue and recovery balance.

The Wear and Tear strategies are available under the Auto-Sub Screen under Manage Team and the Impact Scale and Recovery settings are available within the League settings.

This system is designed to give Franchise players more flexibility in creating a realistic or arcade-style experience that fits their preferred playstyle.

Coach Ability Tuning

In an effort to make coach abilities more powerful, we took a pass on all abilities tuning several of the modifiers used by gameplay coach abilities within Franchise Mode. The increase in ability power was designed to make choices feel more meaningful and impactful, mirroring the influence that top NFL coaches have in shaping game plans and matchups. By raising the effectiveness of key abilities across blocking, coverage, tackling, and passing, we hope that you will feel a greater sense of differentiation between strategic loadout builds and playstyle decisions. We also want to deepen the week-to-week chess match, where anticipating and countering an opponent’s strengths becomes as crucial as executing your own.

Attribute Boost Abilities

In addition to increasing the power of gameplay abilities, we also adjusted the amount that attributes are increased when using an attribute boost ability. Previously all attribute based abilities like Field General, Work Horse and Mano-A-Mano would increase attributes +4 for each tier and that has now increased to +7 for those abilities.

Upgrade, Downgrade and Knockout Goals

  • Fixed several issues where some coach abilities were using incorrect goals
  • Adjusted a large number of Tier 4 Knockout Goals to be more forgiving.
    • DEV NOTE: Because Tier 4 Knockout goals can stick around for multiple mastery tiers, we wanted to ensure that they remain active longer to offer a smoother and more rewarding progression experience. All Tier 4 KO goals are now cumulative goals preventing instances where one bad game could downgrade a Tier 4 ability.

Playsheets

Added four new playsheets to complement the existing library (in addition to those added for Madden Week):

  • Max Protect (Offensive) – Focused on passing plays with six or more players in protection, designed to counter strong pass rushes and blitz-heavy defenses.
    • Tier 2: +5 Deep Route Running and Spec Catch for WR/TE on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 3: +5 Deep Accuracy and +2 Throw Power for QB’s on Playsheet Plays
    • TIer 4: +7 to all Pass Blocking Attributes for the OL on Playsheet Plays
  • Mug Life (Defensive) – Built entirely around mug defensive formations, intended to confuse offensive protections and incorporates several new formations and plays introduced in TU4.
    • Tier 2: +5 Power and Finesse Moves for EDGE and DT on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 3: +3 Man and Zone Coverage for all LB, CB, FS and SS on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 4: +5 Play Rec for all defenders on Playsheet Plays
  • The Manifesto (Defensive) – A man-coverage–focused playsheet, boosting man coverage ratings across the defense at higher tiers. Fills a gap in the existing defensive playbook lineup by emphasizing pure man coverage tactics.
    • Tier 2: +5 Man Coverage and Play Rec for all LB on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 3: +5 Man Coverage and Play Rec for FS and SS on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 4: +7 Man Coverage and Press for all CBs on Playsheet Plays
  • Deep Freeze (Defensive) – A zone-coverage based playsheet aimed at neutralizing deep passes. Emphasizes Cover 2 and Cover 4 drop concepts to protect over the top and force offenses into shorter passing games.
    • Tier 2: +5 Finesse and Power Moves for all EDGE and DT on Playsheet Plays
    • Tier 3: +5 Man and Zone Coverage for all CB on Playsheet Plays

  • All 2025 season Rivalries matchups are now available in Play Now.
  • Fixed team colors appearing incorrectly in some Franchise narrative scenes.

  • Titans coach replaced with generic portrait.

Fortnite New Update on November 19 Brings Patch 4.92

Fortnite update 4.92 is now live across all platforms this November 19, and this is for the free-to-play game’s v38.11 patch. Expect new items to be added, though most are for Chapter 7.

Fortnite’s November 19 Patch Is Live and Brings Update 4.92 Content

Unfortunately, Epic Games has a bad habit of not relaying just what got added in their patches, but thankfully, the community is on it.

Thanks to reliable dataminer HYPEX, we have a list and even some images of the items rolled in via today’s patch. Note that some of these won’t be released today, but they have been added into the game’s files. Images pertaining to the skins are also available in the gallery.

  • New Homer skin
  • Homer clones
  • Event countdown (& Geeked Homer Clones) are live in the game
  • New OG Bunker Morse Code: “ZEROHOUR”
  • New FFC Striker Sparkplug skin
  • The Seven are returning in Chapter 7, as nnew banner and logo got added with the update
  • Itchy is coming as a sidekick
  • Battle Royale map got updated

  • Ninjas may not be able to Mantis Leap consistently after using it.

EA Sports FC 26 Update on November 19 Applies Minor Patch 1.12

EA Sports FC 26 has received a new update on November 19 across PC and consoles, and this is a minor patch that brings the game to version 1.2.1 (which you should see in the game’s start-up screen).

Players will see this update appear on consoles as EA Sports FC 26 update 1.12, and expect this to be a small download.

Studio Wildcard has released a new update for Ark Survival Ascended, which not only brings fixes but also adds a new creature!

Console gamers will see this as Ark Survival Ascended update 1.075.006, with the PC game client now at v75.7 due to a patch yesterday.

  • New Creature Ossidon!
    • The Ossidon has been temporarily added to Ragnarok, Valguero, and The Center
    • Ossidon breeding is currently disabled and will remain so until the launch of the Lost Colony
    • At the start of Lost Colony’s launch, Ossidons cannot be transferred to Lost Colony Official servers (unlike the Veilwyn, which will be transferable)
  • Fix for allowing dino costumes to be equipped to the wrong dinos.
  • Fixed a server crash related to anti-mesh logging.
  • Fixed Obelisk terminal and pad missing textures in Extinction and Aberration.

Ghost of Yotei Team Had to Cut a Big Part of the Game, But Says It Was the Right Choice

Ghost of Yotei includes a special feature that allows you to press and hold the touchpad to travel back in time to when the main character, Atsu, was just a child.

This can only be done in specific, predetermined areas, but the original plan was to make it possible in many more locations, if not everywhere.

Speaking with Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, the creative director of Ghost of Yotei, Jason Connell, said that this feature excited him greatly when it was first proposed years ago.

He explained that the idea’s charm came from how players could see Atsu’s world as an adult — a sad, lonely journey driven by revenge — and then, with the press of a button, step back into “the warmth of her past” to remember what she was fighting for.

However, after working on it for years, the team realized that it essentially meant creating double the graphical content, so they decided to limit time travel to certain parts of the game. Connell said, “It saddened me the day I had to cut it — to say, okay, it can’t be the whole thing anymore, we have to narrow it down. But in the end, it was the right choice.”

He also noted that if the feature were always available, it might have felt uninteresting unless Sucker Punch added enough narrative depth to make time travel meaningful everywhere.

In other news, Ghost of Yotei is getting a free, co-op multiplayer DLC called “Legends,” which will be released in 2026. The DLC will feature two-player story missions and four-player survival matches in a supernatural setting.

Battlefield 6 Multiplayer Free Trial Announced, but It Won’t Be the Full Experience

If you still haven’t tried Battlefield 6 and are wondering whether it’s worth buying, now’s the perfect time to find out for yourself.

Electronic Arts has just announced that the game will be free for an entire week, giving everyone a chance to jump in and play the game before making a decision. However, there are some restrictions.

From November 25 to December 2, players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC can try five multiplayer modes and three maps. The trial version does not include the story campaign, but it is a good chance to experience the game and see what it offers. If you enjoy it, you might find a Black Friday deal to buy the full version at a lower price.

What’s known so far is that players will have access to Conquest, Breakthrough, Sabotage, and Team Deathmatch, with the maps Siege of Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields. EA has also promised to reveal more details about the trial next week.

As a reminder, Battlefield 6 recently received update 1.1.2.0, which added a new map, new weapons, and the Sabotage mode, further expanding the multiplayer content.

The developers’ goal is clear, they set out to deliver a game that fans would love, and so far, it seems they’ve succeeded. Critics have praised its multiplayer, graphics, and sound design, with early reviews being mostly positive.

In other Battlefield 6 news, DICE has finally admitted there is an issue with matchmaking and bots, and we’re hoping this gets sorted out soon.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted New Update on November 18 Adds New Features via Patch 1.40/1.400

Developer The Lost Pixels has deployed Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted update 1.4.0 on all platforms, and this adds new features to the re-imagined game.

Console gamers will see this download appear as Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted update 1.40/1.400 (complete version 1.400.000), and this also applies gameplay fixes sa well.

New Features:

  • [Steam] Remote Play Together is now supported! This Steam feature allows you to play our local multiplayer (Co-op and Vs.) with your friends online, as if you were in the same room. 
    • The same limitations of 2-player local multiplayer apply. Player 2 is required to use a controller
    • Steam allows up to 4 people to connect to a Remote Play Together stream. We recommend limiting the enabled input devices (via the Steam Overlay Remote Play settings) to just allow 2 active players, as that is the maximum the game supports
    • Please note also that this Steam feature relies on the host player’s internet connection speed for game stream performance and stability
    • Added Accessibility Features that can be toggled on via the Main Menu Options Menu:

      • High Contrast Mode (high contrast visuals during gameplay to accommodate visual accessibility needs)
      • Slow Speed (changes 1x speed to 0.5x game speed and reduces the faster speeds accordingly)
      • Disable Screenshake (removes shaking effect on explosions and other areas)
    • Added Sun Vacuum / Magnet function to the game
      • Pressing Right Trigger/R2/ZR on Controllers or Spacebar on Keyboard activates the sun vacuum function, collecting all individual suns present in the level when activated. (Now you can spend more time on strategizing & execution instead of staring at the suns. Which we’ve heard isn’t good for your eyes)

      • Tab cycles game speed
      • 1-0 number keys selects and deselects Seed Packets during gameplay
      • Spacebar activates Sun Vacuum

Gameplay Fixes:

  • Added ability to open the Almanac from the Pause Menu
  • Fixed Main Menu button not appearing on Reward Screen
  • Optimizations made for Zombie memory management to improve performance on lower end devices, particularly in Survival Endless.
  • Fixed Sol Invictus achievement not being awarded at exactly 2000 sun
  • Fixed Gold Sunflower trophy not showing on the Main Menu for players who already had Nobel Peas Prize unlocked before an earlier fix for this issue
  • Fixed issues with Life Well Lived achievement unlock conditions incorrectly tracking used lawnmowers

  • Fixed Polevaulters being a little too effective at getting past lawnmowers in rare cases (Took a while, but we’ve shortened all the poles we could find)

DOOM: The Dark Ages New Update 1.011 for Patch 3 Introduces Ripatorium 2.0

Developer id Software has released the latest update for DOOM: The Dark Ages, and it’s a big one! As part of Update 3, Ripatorium 2.0 is introduced to all gamers, and this brings a slate of new stuff.

Console gamers will see this as DOOM: The Dark Ages update 1.011 (complete version 1.011.000), and expect this to be a beefy download, as it adds a slew of new features.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Ripatorium 2.0 Introduced on November 18 via Patch 1.011

What to Expect in DOOM: The Dark Ages Update 3

Update 3 for DOOM: The Dark Ages introduces Ripatorium 2.0, offering additional Encounter Presets, deeper customization options, additional jukebox tracks and the ability to share your custom encounters on a per-round basis via Passcode sharing.

This update also includes Campaign quality-of-life updates such as the Brink of Death feature now selectable between Normal and Hard settings via the Difficulty tab, plus player-requested updates including bindable inputs for your active Melee Weapon and Shield Rune.

Ripatorium 2.0

We’ve added even more ways to customize the Ripatorium arena mode, including the ability to share and load presets from each round via our Passcode sharing*.

  • The Ripatorium is now round-based, with players customizing a selection of enemies they will face for up to five rounds
  • Each Ripatorium round can have unique settings and up to 10 respawn waves
  • In the Settings menu, we’ve added new options for Time Limit
  • Each round also features a unique Passcode (highlighted in the image below) that allows you to share your custom Ripatorium round and all its settings with other players
  • To play someone else’s Ripatorium encounter, select the corresponding round and press the newly added “Enter New Passcode” input at the bottom of the screen
  • There are also new Encounter Presets to choose from: Medium, Challenging and Sadistic

What are the “Preset Incoming” Encounters? (Highlighted in the image below) 

  • We’re looking to collect the best custom encounters so that we can curate some community-made presets! Be sure to tag @doom on social with your unique round Passcodes for your best full encounter setups! In time, these will be added in-game via an Active Tunable update (without requiring a client update)

The Jukebox now includes five additional tracks:

  • “Theomachy” 
  • “Bloodspill” 
  • “Divine Retribution” 
  • “From the Ashes” 
  • “Wither and Writhe”  

  • An icon now appears over the heads of the last few remaining enemies in a round
  • Additional line-of-sight blockers have been added to all arenas

End of Level Summary now shows two new tabs: Difficulty and Arena Setup

  • Difficulty: Includes settings used during the Ripatorium run
  • Arena Setup: Breaks down total demons killed with separate tabs counting each class of slain demon (Fodder, Heavy and Super Heavy)

Gameplay & Quality of Life

Brink of Death is now an adjustable setting in the Difficulty tab

  • Normal provides the recommended support
  • Hard provides less support and makes surviving at low health more challenging

Input Bindings

  • Players can now swap their active Shield Rune and Melee Weapon during gameplay

Four new player-requested key bindings have been added to the Input tab:

  • Next Melee Weapon
  • Previous Melee Weapon
  • Next Shield Rune
  • Previous Shield Rune

Controller Vibration

  • Adjusting the vibration intensity slider now correctly adjusts external controllers on Xbox when plugged into a PC
  • Controller vibration now works correctly with the BFC equipped

Enemy AI Fixes

  • Fixed a crash on PlayStation 5 Pro when initiating a Glory Strike on Heavy and Super Heavy-classed enemies after they’re Dazed from the player using the Shredder
  • The player no longer clips through the geometry of the wall when performing a Glory Strike against the Komodo
  • Floating VFX will no longer appear over the Cacodemon’s corpse if it is killed while performing a wall attack
  • The Vagary Champion’s summon VFX are now the correct size
  • Fixed an issue with the Cacodemon’s shield continuing to block attacks briefly after it visually expires
  • Added ambient audio to the Cacodemon’s idle animation

Combat Encounter Updates

Holy City of Aratum  

  • After the Vagary spawns in the final encounter, additional Mancubus spawns are now replaced with a group of Imps
  • Removed Chaingunners from the final encounter

️Siege Part 1  

  • The Hell Knight and Imp Stalker that spawn after breaking Morale in the Village Morale fight no longer respawn
  • The Stone Imps and one of the Nightmare Imp Stalkers in the Swamp Morale fight have been removed

️Siege Part 2  

  • The Hell Knights in the Tank Hangar that spawn after the Leader Battle Knight no longer respawn

Forsaken Plains  

  • Removed one of the Arachnotron spawns from both tower objectives

Hellbreaker  

  • Removed the additional Revenant spawn in the final encounter

Sentinel Command Station  

  • The Mancubus and Arachnotron that spawn after breaking the Pinky Rider Leader’s armor in the tank hangar no longer respawn
  • The Mancubus and Arachnotron that spawn in the final encounter no longer respawn

From Beyond  

  • The Mancubus that spawns after breaking Morale in the first arena fight no longer respawn
  • The Revenant that spawns after breaking Morale in the second arena fight no longer respawn

Tweaks & Adjustments

DOOM: The Dark Ages Update 1.009

Atlan

  • Adjusted Brink of Death feature for all difficulties so players have a greater chance to fight back from a near-death situation
  • Slightly increased the amount of health received from killing Titan enemies

Prince Ahzrak

  • Reduced acceleration of projectiles spawned from the boss’ Super Dive Bomb attack
  • Reduced base damage of boss’ Spear Throw so that it does not break the player’s Shield in a single shot when enemy damage slider value is 2.0x or lower.

The Old One

  • Slightly increased health received by the player when performing a Glory Strike
  • Reduced the damage scaling on the Gravity Well explosion across all damage slider values 1.0x and above.

Cacodemon

  • Slightly reduced speed of Lightning Wall projectiles

Cosmic Baron

  • Reduced damage of Guillotine Projectile attack so that the player’s Shield doesn’t break instantly on block
  • Fixed a bug where additional damage was sometimes applied when hit by a Cosmic Baron’s Guillotine Projectile

Combat Feedback

  • Adjusted various weapons and enemies to activate gore with greater frequency and consistency across the player’s arsenal
  • Adjusted enemy ragdoll behavior for various melee attacks and Shield Charge to further punctuate those actions in combat

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the Atlan’s Brink of Death activating despite the player Perfect Dodging an AOE attack
  • The spark VFX for using the Shield block no longer appears when taking damage from environmental hazards or other damage that bypasses the Shield
  • Fixed a bug with the Lore Nerd Milestone not completing correctly after finishing a 100% playthrough
  • Fixed an issue with the Perfection Skin not unlocking if the player force quits during the third Ripatorium match
  • Fixed a rare issue where the campaign’s Pause and Dossier menus were replaced with Ripatorium menus, leading to save corruption and inaccessible menus
  • Fixed a bug where debug text would appear after dying in the projectile parry tutorial area
  • Interrupting the Combat Shotgun burst fire with Shield block no longer causes the player camera to slightly tilt until mantling or restarting the map
  • Fixed an issue in the Ripatorium where both mods for the Shredder and Accelerator would be active at the same time if the player reloaded the encounter or died and restarted
  • Hitting a Chaingunner with a pinned fodder demon will no longer instantly kill the demon
  • Armored enemies will now falter correctly when their armor is destroyed by the Ravager and Pulverizer
  • Fixed a bug where the first instance of damage the player takes after a checkpoint would not mitigate damage properly if hit from behind
  • Killing a Vagary, Agaddon Hunter or Komodo in the Ripatorium no longer triggers their related Campaign milestones
  • The Ripatorium now saves the Melee weapon the player equipped from the previous attempt. In addition, , charges for that weapon are fully replenished if the player swaps Melee weapons before the first round of enemies spawn
  • Addressed a bug with the firing SFX getting stuck in a loop if the player swapped from the Auto Turret Rune to another Shield Rune after it has already begun to fire in the Ripatorium

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Adds Free Valley of Memory DLC via Patch 1.11/1.011

Assassin’s Creed Mirage players are in for a treat, as Ubisoft has released a free content update to all owners. Called the version 1.1.0 patch, console owners will see it appear as Assassin’s Creed Mirage update 1.11/1.011 (complete version 1.011.000), and this brings the Valley of Memory story content.

Expect new world activities and a new region in Alula. There are also parkour and control improvements too.

After speaking with his old friend, Dervis, Basim sets out for AlUla – a land of secrets, ancient ruins, and vibrant oases.

To begin the Valley of Memory questline, players will need to have started the “Head of the Snake” mission in the base game. Players can also choose to skip ahead in the story directly from the main menu when starting a new game. Speak with Dervis to begin your journey to the Valley of Memory.

NEW REGION: ALULA

Explore AlUla, a breathtaking new setting from the Golden Age of the Abbasid Empire, set at a crossroads of civilization. Largely lost to time, the Valley of Memory is a stunning region that played an important role in the history of the area for centuries.

Divided into two main regions, the so-called Land of the Dead in the northern half, and the Land of the Living in the southern half, each sub-region offers unique visual variety and opportunities.

NEW WORLD ACTIVITIES

Beyond the main story, Valley of Memory offers additional hours of new and returning world activities which will help you uncover the mysteries of AlUla. Familiar side activities return, including world events and world contracts, alongside brand-new additions:

One such activity is Stolen Goods, where Basim must steal secret maps from robbers to recover valuable items.

Another is Oud Melodies, which challenges players to collect musical themes through parkour sequences – reminiscent of the sea shanties in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Once collected, Basim can perform these melodies in a variety of musical settings throughout the world, offering the perfect chance to enjoy a break from the journey.

There are also more surprises waiting to be discovered, allowing players to dive deeper into the history and tales of the time.

AC Mirage New Update Parkour and Gameplay Improvements via Patch 1.11/1.011

Free Jump

The option to free jump has been added to Mirage’s gameplay settings, giving you the ability to manually jump as you traverse through the game. This can be set to on/off in the gameplay options tab.

Back and Side Ejects

Side and back ejects can now be performed even if there is no clear spot for Basim to land or a clear handhold for him to grab. You can also toggle this “Free” mode on/off in the gameplay options tab. Keep the current “Safe” mode if you prefer that Basim always lands safe and sound.

Control Presets

A new “modern” control preset has been added to the gameplay options to improve the feel of the controls, especially when Free Jump has been enabled.

ANIMUS SEQUENCES (REPLAYABLE MISSIONS FEATURE)

Another highly requested feature from the community was mission replay-ability. Well, we heard you! Main missions and contracts can now be replayed!

You can access them through your investigation board’s “Animus Sequences” section or by interacting with the Animus icons around the world.

New challenges will be available upon replaying a mission, allowing you to complete challenges to earn new rewards, like Animus mods. Animus Mods are auto-refills over time for tools & Assassin Focus and can be activated only in Animus Sequences or in New Game+.

NEW DIFFICULTY SETTINGS

Two new difficulties have been added to the game: Hardened Assassin and Ultimate Assassin. Each new preset also includes one new reward. These can be awarded for completing a permadeath run on the corresponding difficulty setting.

Hardened Assassin sits between Assassin (Normal) and Master Assassin (Hard) and features the same difficulty as Assassin, but with higher defense enemies.

Ultimate Assassin is our new hardest difficulty, providing a new and fresh challenge for experienced players.

For those wanting a more tailored experience, we’ve also added a new Custom Difficulty preset as well!

TIER 3 TOOL UPGRADE

Tools can now be upgraded to level 3, giving them new abilities to help you through the new challenges of the DLC. These include:

  • Throwing Knives – Throwing Knives become explosive.
  • Smoke Bomb – Becomes a corrosive bomb that dissolves dead enemies, leaving no trace of them.
  • Blow Dart – Can now pierce even the most heavily armored enemies.
  • Noisemaker – Can now put enemies caught in the impact zone to sleep.
  • Traps – Can now cause enemies caught within their blast radius to enter berserk mode and attack their fellow guards.

LIST OF BUG FIXES

GAMEPLAY

  • All claimed rewards are now linked to the player account save. For instance: any reward claimed in Permadeath will now be accessible to all the saves on the player’s account.
  • Modified how to access permadeath: it can now only be initiated when starting a New Game+, rather than at any time.
  • Prevented players from falling on a specific ledge in Baghdad.

UI

  • Resolved an issue where the Options menu would be offset after talking with a merchant with text size set to Large.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Assassin’s Creed Franchise” button would lead to a page stating that there is no content available.
  • Numbers in some item descriptions are no longer split when the text is displayed as Large in Japanese language.
  • Fixed the localization of “Basim Valhalla Costume” in Traditional Chinese.

VISUALS & GRAPHICS

  • Addressed an issue where the world would look dimmer with almost no highlights after turning on HDR.
  • Fixed an issue where the Desync screen on PS5 Pro would display broken visuals.
  • The draped golden fabric of the Dhahabi Master Assassin Costume now moves freely like other costumes.

STABILITY

  • Fixed rare issues that could create crashes.

With a patch this significant, don’t be surprised if Ubisoft has to release a follow up patch for fixes.

In other Ubisoft news, it’s claimed that a version of Splinter Cell was being developed by Ubisoft San Francisco before, but due to live service ambition, this later turned into XDefiant.

No Man’s Sky Update 6.017/6.17 Brings New Fixes

Hello Games has rolled out a new patch, 6.17, for No Man’s Sky today, November 18, 2025, which addresses gameplay and stability issues related to the ongoing Holiday Expeditions 2025 event.

The update, however, is not a major one; it still fixes several gameplay bugs. For console players, the patch appears as version 6.17/6.017. Read on for the complete patch notes straight from Hello Games.

  • Fixed an issue which showed incorrect filters when buying and selling corvette or relic parts.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause doors on the Space Anomaly to not render after flying in.
  • Fixed an issue which caused Corvette ships to be placed in the wrong location when teleporting to a base.
  • Improved performance when rendering large schools of fish.
  • Optimised Vulkan memory usage.
  • Fixed a number of rare crashes.
  • Fixed a video memory issue.
  • Optimised PS4 and PS5 graphics memory usage.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Xbox to hang on the pause menu.
  • Fixed an issue which prevented appropriate messaging when inviting or joining a multiplayer session with certain privacy settings.

X, Also Known as Twitter, Is Down on November 18

For those reliant on breaking news, chances are you’ve signed up to X (formerly known as Twitter). However, it seems the service has seen a massive disruption today, November 18.

Both on the mobile app and desktop versions, Twitter or X is down, with the feed not refreshing.

Downdetector has pinged thousands of reports for X/Twitter being down today. It seems the main issue stems from host service provider Cloudflare.

Websites aside from X are affected, and this includes ChatGPT are affected with slow loading, and in some cases, inaccessibility. For those uanware, Cloudflare is an online infrastructure company that offers servicess that power a lot of online domains and services today.

For its part, Cloudflare is aware of the issues and are currently investigating. While X/Twitter and other affected sites might work from time to time, we’ve noticed it’s been unstable, so don’t be surprised if you can’t load anything for the time being.

Helldivers 2 Update 1.004.102 Released for Mini Quality-of-Life Patch

Arrowhead Game Studios has released an update for Helldivers 2 on consoles and PC, addressing a short list of fixes related to optimization, crashing, and other issues.

Players will see this download appear as Helldivers 2 update version 1.004.102, and this should be a small download across all platforms that slots in quality-of-life features, though don’t expect anything drastic.

Freedom’s greetings, Helldivers! Welcome to this “mini” quality of life update. Below, you will see some of the fixes the developers have been working on over the past few weeks. As always, we are excited to get your thoughts and feedback on how this improves your diving!

Fixes

Crashes,

  • Fixed a crash that could happen when alt+tabbing or changing display related settings
  • Fixed a crash that would occur when the Hive Lord would hear noises coming from outside the map area
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when leaving or disconnecting from a game
  • Fixed a crash which could occur when changing graphics settings during some missions (PC only)
  • Fixed a rare crash which could occur when launching into city missions (PC only)
  • Fixed a rare crash which could occur when the Pelican lands

Miscellaneous,

  • Fixed an issue where the SH-32 Shield Generator Backpack and the FX-12 Shield Generator Relay didn’t shield those inside from the effects of Storms such as Acid Storm, Sandstorm, and Blizzard
  • Fixed a rare bug where all audio could cut out after extensive playtime

Optimizations,

  • Improved the way environmental effects such as Sandstorms, Blizzards, and Acid Storms apply their status effects for reduced impact on performance
  • Optimized destruction on various tree assets to maintain performance when lots of trees are being destroyed
  • Fixed Sandstorms and Blizzards no longer slowing Helldivers down.
  • We have addressed a gameplay/performance issue which allowed Bile Titans to traverse through areas they should not have been able to.

There are still a handful of known issues, so expect more patches to be released before we wrap up 2025. If you’re looking for another shooter to pour time in, Embark’s ARC Raideres has been gaining more players since it launched three weeks ago, which is a rare sight to see.

Lost Soul Aside New Update 1.100 Adds New Challenge Mode

Developer Ultizero has deployed Lost Soul Aside update 1.100 (complete version 1.100.000) this November 18 on PS5 and PC, and this is more than your standard patch aimed at squashing bugs.

This time around, the studio has even ushered in new content in the form of a new Challenge mode. There are also optimization improvements applied for both PS5 and PC.

A brand-new Challenge Mode, Surge of Voidrax, is now available for all players.

Prepare for high-intensity combat, adaptive challenges, and unique rewards as you take on the new threat from the Voidrax.

PS5 & PC – Optimizations

  • New Skins: Unlock new skins in Challenge Mode by saving your progress with Liana’s Save after obtaining preferred appearances in story mode.
  • Skip the Prologue: Players can now skip the Prologue and jump directly into the action for faster access to core gameplay.
  • Improved Exploration Comfort
    • Voidrax Pathfinder: Players struggling with certain puzzles or challenges can now opt to directly resolve them using the new Voidrax Pathfinder feature.
    • Platforming Simplification: Adjusted platforming difficulty across Chapters 1–4, including areas like Mount Salvation, Mistwood, and Royal Court of Frosthold.
    • Puzzle & Minigame Enhancements: Mechanics have been optimized for smoother, more intuitive gameplay experiences.
  • Cinematic Narrative Upgrades

    • Expression Animation Update: Enhanced facial animations across most cutscenes for more lively and authentic emotional expression.
    • Lighting Enhancements: Improved global lighting in cutscenes to heighten atmosphere and narrative impact.
    • Performance and Interaction Improvements: Optimized character gaze and dialogue camera angles, added ambient talk lip-sync animations, boosting the overall narrative immersion.
  • Custom Button Mapping: Players can now customize keyboard/mouse and controller inputs on both PlayStation 5 console and PC to tailor controls to their preferences.

PC – Optimization

  • Steam Deck Support: Lost Soul Aside now fully supports Steam Deck, enabling a seamless adventure wherever you go.

PS5 & PC – Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Arena Power’s “Phantom Shield” would still consume scales when Kaser was invincible.
  • Fixed a problem in Chapter 3: Lethonix Dimension where certain actions could cause the crystal to be lost, preventing proper mechanism unlocking.
  • Fixed a bug where some monster skills could not be perfectly blocked.

PC – Bug Fix

  • Fixed a UI issue where button prompts may display incorrectly in specific scenarios.

Don’t be surprised to see Ultizero release a follow-up patch to fix any gameplay issues with the new mode, and if we do we get one, expect it here on MP1st.
