First Wave of Battlefield 6 Twitch Drops Start on Oct. 10
Earlier this week, publisher Electronic Arts revealed the slate of content for Battlefield 6 Season 1.
The Twitch Drops will be available from October 10 to Oct. 17. Chances are, this isn’t the only one planned by EA. Another occasion we can expect it is when Season 1 starts on Oct. 28. Speaking of which, in case you haven’t checked that out, there are new maps on the way and more.
With the launch of Battlefield 6 inching nearer and nearer, more info about the game is surfacing, though not everything is coming from Electronic Arts' news announcements and press releases.
After years of development and some reports detailing a troubled production, it was announced that the Perfect Dark reboot would be cancelled and the studio responsible, The Initiative, would be shutting down.
AMD Engineer Confirms Active Development of Microsoft’s Next Xbox
This news comes from YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead, who talked about it in a recent video. He said that several sources, including an AMD engineer, have confirmed that work on the new Xbox is moving ahead at full speed.
He claimed that the project was discussed during an internal progress meeting on October 3, 2025, with sources indicating that development remains “full steam ahead.” Additionally, one source claimed that Microsoft has a contract tied to Magnus that would cost them a ton if the project were canceled, meaning canceling the project would be very expensive.
The engineer also noted that the Magnus APU’s future depends on how Microsoft decides to position it. The Magnus chip was originally called an “Xbox project,” but it could turn into a PC-console hybrid in 2027 or even a literal gaming PC APU that just is an Xbox in name only. Sources from Moore’s Law Is Dead added that design work is still ongoing, dismissing earlier rumors that the project had been canceled.
At the same time, Moore’s Law Is Dead described Xbox’s current strategy as “complete chaos,” pointing to Game Pass price hikes, poor messaging from leadership, and retailers heavily discounting consoles.
Microsoft is reportedly gearing up to make a significant gamble on cloud gaming, as the latest rumor suggests that a free, ad-supported tier is coming for consoles, PCs, and mobile players.
One More Game’s upcoming co-op action roguelite shooter, SWAPMEAT, has an early access release date. We had a chance to go hands-on with it a few weeks back, and let’s just say this is one meaty roguelite action game you don’t want to miss out on.
But if you don’t believe us, there’s some good news for you: a demo is also now available as part of Steam Next Fest.
While playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta, many players noticed that any attempt to mention “Arc Raiders,” the upcoming extraction shooter from Embark Studios, was automatically censored in the in-game chat.
Play SWAPMEAT Ahead of Its Early Access Release
A demo is now live on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest event, and will be available until October 21, 2025. The game will go into early access the following day.
Rip, swap, and mutate mid-combat. Every limb and extremity you graft changes your strategy instantly. Rapid adaptation isn’t optional — it’s a matter of survival. There are over 3,000 meat combinations available to players. Every part you graft changes your strategy instantly.
Adaptation isn’t optional — it’s a matter of survival. Equip Squat Daddy legs to jump and butt-slam enemies, or an Octo Swirl head that shoots in all directions, or a Stellar Chef torso that grants barrier shields to your squad.
Fast, Relentless Combat

SWAPMEAT forces improvisation in ways we haven’t seen in traditional roguelites — you work with what drops and learn to thrive in unpredictability, while under constant siege by alien weirdos.
Waves of screwball enemies never stop coming. You dodge, shoot, and swap your way through escalating chaos while racing against time to complete objectives and bring back vital Meat Cores for Carl’s ongoing Smart Meat™ experimentations.

Survios has released a new update for Alien Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition (1.000.008), which brings hotfix 1.0.3 to consoles. This update is pretty small in download size, as it is in patch notes, so don’t expect anything major.
However, if you were experiencing any crashes, this update might fix that issue.
ARC Raiders is launching later this month, and ahead of that, and the upcoming server slam playtest, Embark Studios has released updated system requirements to play ARC Raiders on PC.

While playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta, many players noticed that any attempt to mention “Arc Raiders,” the upcoming extraction shooter from Embark Studios, was automatically censored in the in-game chat. This has led to speculation that Activision was limiting its mention on purpose, due to the nature of it technically being a “competing” game.
However, as it turns out, this was just an error in the system. One that will be fixed if it hasn’t already. That hasn’t stopped Embark Studios from taking advantage of the situation in a rather playful and clever way.
Originally meant to end this Wednesday, Treyarch Studios is extending the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta by an extra day! This includes all the double XP bonuses for leveling and weapons, so that players can hit level 30 even faster, while having more time to do so.
ARC Raiders Pokes Fun at Call of Duty for Censoring Its Name in Beta Chat
As players were quick to notice during the Black Ops 7 Open Beta, the term “ARC Raiders” is censored, resulting in asterisks as if it were some bad word of sorts. This strange filter only blocks the two words when they’re used together — something that usually happens with swear words or offensive language. What makes it even stranger is that other games like Battlefield 6 can be mentioned without any problem.
The news quickly spread online, and the official ARC Raiders X (formerly Twitter) account decided to have some fun with it. The developers posted, “We’re still on track to release *** ******* on October 30th!” along with an image (above) showing the same asterisks. The post has already garnered over 1.4 million views.
ARC Raiders is launching later this month, and for all PS5 Pro players out there, there's some good news: the game will come with PS5 Pro enhancements.
After the post went viral, Activision also issued a statement to PC Gamer, explaining that the censorship was not intentional. The company described it as a “text filter error” and confirmed that it would be corrected shortly.
PC Gamer wrote, “The block of ‘Arc Raiders’ in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta test lobbies was the result of a text filter error. How exactly a mistake of that very specific nature happened was not shared, but the company said the error will be fixed soon, and may well be by the time you read this.”
Raiders, it's launch month for ARC Raiders! In less than 30 days, we'll all be exploring and surviving the Rust Belt, but before then, we'll get to play the game early through the newly announced Server Slam Playtest.
ARC Raiders is launching later this month, and ahead of that, and the upcoming server slam playtest, Embark Studios has released updated system requirements to play ARC Raiders on PC. If you previously played the playtest, not much has changed beyond the requirements needed for epic settings.
In which case, you’re going to need at least an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or an AMD RX 7900 XTX.
Raiders, it's launch month for ARC Raiders! In less than 30 days, we'll all be exploring and surviving the Rust Belt, but before then, we'll get to play the game early through the newly announced Server Slam Playtest.
ARC Raiders System Requirements
As revealed in some freshly updated FAQ on the ARC Raiders Discord channel, here are the PC system requirements that you’ll need to run in the game on various settings.
If you have plans to run Battlefield 6 on its highest settings, including 4K resolution with framerates over 120 fps on PC, you 'll need some pretty beefy hardware to do so.
Based on these specs, the game isn’t too demanding. Epic only requires a CPU that is 6-7 years old now. The GPUs are the most demanding aspect of it, as they’re still relatively new and expensive to own. However, all things considered, it doesn’t require a top-of-the-line card, such as an RTX 4090 or 5000 series card, or an RX 9700 card.
Overall, these requirements should meet the needs of most players. We’re glad to see that Embark Studios is focusing on optimization, rather than trying to brute force things with higher premium cards that only a tiny fraction of the PC community has.
Embark Studios plans to make the Rust Belt an even more perilous place in Arc Raiders, as a recent community update has revealed that they are looking to modify how Raider Hatches function.

If you have plans to run Battlefield 6 on its highest settings, including 4K resolution with framerates over 120 fps on PC, you ‘ll need some pretty beefy hardware to do so. With the game being optimized for lower-end PCs, it seems to run at full ultra settings, you’re going to need one of the best CPUs on the market, as well as an RTX 5000 series card.
Mind, the game doesn’t even have ray-tracing support.
Battlefield 6 Updated System Requirements Adds Ultra++
New system requirements for Battlefield 6 have been released, but don’t worry too much, as they remain mostly the same outside of the addition of a new graphical target, Ultra++. This is essentially Battlefield 6 running at its maximum settings, including 4K resolution at 144 FPS and 240 FPS.
With just days before Battlefield 6 launches, some might not be aboard the hype train yet even after trying the game in its Open Beta weekend.
Overkill for many, and expensive for most gamers, as the CPU requirements have it asking for either an AMD 9800x3d, or an Intel Core 9 Ultra 285k, two of the best (and expensive) CPUs on the market today. The 9800x3d is only outdone by its newer, and even more costly sibling, AMD 9950x3d.
However, that’s not the only hardware you’ll need, as you’ll also require a powerful GPU, specifically NVIDIA’s RTX 5080 (or anything equivalent in power or above). So Team Red, it looks like the RX 9800 XT isn’t going to cut it here (at least on paper).
In total, you would be looking at a setup that costs at least $ 1,400 on the CPU and GPU side of things, and all this to run what many would consider to be overkill. But if you’re a PC enthusiast, this amount of dollars probably matters little to you; know that this is the requirement for a game that doesn’t feature any ray tracing features. However, that’s for good reason, as the lack of implementations has led Battlefield Studios to optimize the game further, rather than focusing on adding demanding features.
For those worried about the experience elsewhere, don’t worry, as many reported during the open beta that the game runs perfectly fine even on machines that were lower than the minimum requirements. Unlike previous Battlefield games, Battlefield 6 appears to have placed a greater emphasis on performance and polish, making sure that as many players as possible have a smooth experience at launch.
Of course, settings may need to be adjusted to reach the desired performance. Personally, I would never recommend someone running the game on ultra++, as you’d be straining your system for long periods of time. But hey, you do you. Me personally? I’ll probably stick with either 60 fps (on my TV) or 144 fps (on my monitor), with graphics settings aiming for medium to high quality. That’s coming from someone who has a machine that can run Ultra++ settings. I have to keep my PC feeling cool if I plan on playing for days straight, so it might not be a bad idea to run at lower settings. Plus, anyone aiming for high framerate is going to find a good balance with the visuals with lower settings than Ultra++.
With Friday’s launch (October 10, 2025) fast approaching, I’m going to leave these helpful guides for everyone so you can make sure you’re 100% ready for launch.

ARC Raiders is launching later this month, and for all PS5 Pro players out there, there’s some good news: the game will come with PS5 Pro enhancements. PS5 Pro players can expect the game to run at higher quality graphical settings, including an increase in dynamic resolution.
Unfortunately, it looks like the dynamic range of the resolution can be as low as 720p on both platforms.
Raiders, it's launch month for ARC Raiders! In less than 30 days, we'll all be exploring and surviving the Rust Belt, but before then, we'll get to play the game early through the newly announced Server Slam Playtest.
ARC Raiders Will Run on Epic Settings for PS5 Pro Players
While we’re unsure if ARC Raiders is going to be offering any additional performance and quality modes (120Hz, VRR enabled, or even 30 FPS for you multiplayer sickos out there), we do know now what kind of PS5 Pro enhancements we can expect come launch.
Embark Studios revealed this on the game’s official Discord channel, where they detailed the differences between the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions.
PS5: Scalability settings – High Quality; Dynamic Resolution range – 720p-1600p
Scalability settings affect rendering quality in aspects such as Global Illumination, Shadows, Reflections, Post Processing, Texture resolution and filtering, VFX, View Distance, etc.
It may not be much, nor does it reveal the framerate (assuming it’s 60 fps), but it does indicate that the general graphical settings will differ, with the PS5 (base) targeting high settings and the PS5 Pro aiming for epic settings. That should mean better textures, reflections, lighting, and all the other stuff they listed, while also achieving a higher dynamic resolution over the base model.
I’m not too excited about knowing that the resolution can drop as low as 720p. I would have been more fine with 1080p as the baseline, but let’s hope that those drops are reserved for more minor instances rather than the norm. With the game using Unreal Engine 5, I suppose we shouldn’t be too surprised by that, but let’s also hope that Embark has managed to deliver a stable framerate at the expense of the picture quality.
I guess we’ll all find out when the game launches on October 31, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As a reminder, pre-orders are now live, and a server slam playtest is also scheduled for October 17.
We're just three days away from the launch of Battlefield 6, and while the hype levels are unquestionably high, EA and the Battlefield Studios want to remind you just how high they are.

If you’re worried about the content that you’ll be able to experience at launch, don’t be. While it won’t have the same amount of maps, weapons and other stuff as in Battlefield 4, it’s nowhere near the drought that Battlefield 2042 brought.

For reference, the Battlefield game with teh most weapons at launch was BF4, which featured 64 primary weapons and 13 secondaries. That game also had the most maps at launch, at 10, and the most vehicles too, with 36.
The overall loser? It’s unsurprisingly Battlefield 2042, which had just six maps at launch and 33 primary weapons.
Thankfully, it’s not ending there. EA has revealed the Season 1 slate of content we’re going to get on Oct. 28, and there’s something new to look forward to every month until the end of 2025.
There’s also a day-one update set to be released, which will house over 200 fixes. Stay tuned here on MP1st, as we have a lot more Battlefield content on the way.
With the launch of Battlefield 6 inching nearer and nearer, more info about the game is surfacing, though not everything is coming from Electronic Arts' news announcements and press releases.
Blizzard has released the latest patch for Diablo 4, and players will see this as build 2.4.1 once they’ve applied the patch. This brings bug fixes and gameplay adjustrments to the base game, as well as to the Vessel of Hatred DLC.
Console gamers will see this download appear as Diablo 4 update 1.94/1.094 (complete version 1.094.000), and this should be a small download.

Respawn Entertainment has released a new minor update for Apex Legends, and this one isn’t just for bugs, as it also applies adjustments to the Peacekeeper, and even legend changes, too.
Console gamers will see the download appear as Apex Legends update 2.96/1.000.110, and compared to other hotfixes, this is bigger in terms of changes made.
It looks like Season 6 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is about to become a hunting ground, as Activision has officially announced this year's collaborative IP with The Haunting event.
For the official patch notes, head on below.
Apex Legends Latest Patch Adjusts Legends, Peacekeeper via Update 2.96/1.000110
Here’s what’s new and what’s been changed in this update, according to Respawn:
Peacekeeper:
Increased rechamber time between shots
Magazine size reduced to 5 (was 6)
Dev Note: The PK is out-performing our our other shotguns and CQC weapons by a sizable amount. Ultimately we want to maintain its raw power in terms of damage and instead disrupt how quickly it can put that damage out.
Alter:
Can no longer use Void Nexus while knocked (but you can still summon knocked teammates)
Raiders, it's launch month for ARC Raiders! In less than 30 days, we'll all be exploring and surviving the Rust Belt, but before then, we'll get to play the game early through the newly announced Server Slam Playtest.
Seer:
Exhibit no longer provides ADS hover
Added a short full-body scan to Lasting Beats when an enemy leaves the ult area
Misc. Changes
The Sentinel is making its glorious return and now works as intended.
Made server performance improvements which should reduce frequency of slow motion (continuing work).
The Trident’s brake input keybind has been reverted to its previous setting (visual UI indicator will persist; to be fixed in a future update).
Fixed a bug affecting player’s POV when entering a Trident.
Mad Maggie now sprints at the intended speed while using shotguns.
As I mentioned, this is a minor update mainly focused on in-game adjustments. We aren’t expecting another major update until next month, when Season 27 begins.
