Rainbow Six Extraction Release Date Now Set for January 20, 2022; Comes With Buddy Pass

Ubisoft has revealed the new Rainbow Six Extraction release date today, and it’s set for January 20, 2022! What’s more, the publisher has announced that it will come with the “Buddy Pass” system, which lets friends play for free — yes, even for cross-platform.

Priced at $39.99 for the Standard Edition, players can pre-order it starting today, and will feature the following:

A deep Operator progression system, four distinct difficulty settings, 12 all-new and unpredictable maps (roughly three times the size of previous Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege maps) across four dynamic regions, over 60 weapons, legacy Rainbow Six Siege tech and 15 exclusive REACT tech, and free post-launch support including a weekly endgame challenge mode.

As for the Buddy Pass system, each edition of Extraction will unlock two Buddy Pass tokens, allowing players to invite friends to play with them for up to 14 days across most platforms (The Trial Version is currently only available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC). During the 14 days, any progression earned by squad members will transfer if and when they purchase the full game.

For Rainbow Six Siege players, if you snag and play Extraction, you’ll receive the United Front bundle, which contains four exclusive gearsets (split between the two games), and will instantly unlock Extraction’s entire roster of 18 operators in Siege.

Lastly, there is also a Deluxe Edition set for release on the same launch date, and this will include everything in the Standard Edition alongside three bonus packs, and will be available for $49.99 (pre-orders for this start today, too).

Warframe Update 1.011 Patch Notes for November 11 Brings Prime Resurgence Event

Digital Extremes has released the Warframe update 1.011 for November 11, bringing with it the Prime Resurgence event along with other content and fixes. Here’s everything we know about the Warframe 1.011 update, which is out for both last-gen and next-gen platforms.

Warframe Update 1.011 Patch Notes:

Update 30.9.0: Prime Resurgence

Update 30.9.0 is ~2 GB on PS4 and ~2.3 GB on PS5 (size variations are to be expected based on the ways in which the different systems operate).

PlayStation Specific Notes:

  • Added the Lumis Oculus by lukinu_u.
  • Fixed loss of functionality when rebinding secondary Ability Menu shortcut to the touchpad. We have disabled the ability to do so to avoid breaking the game.

A Prime Resurgence is upon us…

Coming November 16 for a limited time, we are launching Prime Resurgence! This event provides Tenno with a schedule of Vaulted Prime releases. The impending War grows near day by day, Tenno. A new (yet familiar face to some?), Varzia Dax, has an opportunity to fortify your Arsenal with Prime items that have long been Vaulted.

We first announced that we are looking at running a Prime Vault event of sorts on Devstream 156 – and Prime Resurgence is just that! It is our first stab at offering an alternative to Prime Vault: A one-stop shop to gain access to Vaulted Prime content and Relics with a fully transparent schedule to allow players time to plan.

Varzia, a Dax from the Old War, will appear in Maroo’s Bazaar November 16th on all Platforms with a slew of Prime goods for you to obtain. You can either purchase Relics from her Wares with Aya (free path) or gain instant access to Prime items and bundles with Regal Aya (purchase path).

What is Aya and Regal Aya?

These are the currencies that are used to purchase items from Varzia!

Aya is an earned currency that is your free path to gaining Prime items through the in-game Relic system. It is a resource that is exchanged for Void Relics and other non-premium items available in Varzia’s wares. Aya is found in Missions (The Void or Bounties) or has a chance of appearing in Relic Packs available for purchase in the Market for Platinum or Syndicate Offerings for Standing.

Regal Aya is a premium currency (similar to Platinum, but not tradeable) that gives you instant access to Prime Warframes, Weapons, Accessories, and Bundles available in Varzia’s wares. It can be purchased in the Market or online storefronts.

We have an extremely thorough Dev Workshop / FAQ explaining how this Event came to be, including the introduction of Regal Aya. Simply put, The Prime Vault program has undergone many changes over the years, all driven by player feedback and requests.

The theme over these changes has been to offer more choice and quicker access to Vaulted Prime rotations. Which is where Prime Resurgence comes in. Please read our Dev Workshop for more information, otherwise enjoy the largest Prime Vault opening of all-time, with a significantly streamlined process for Devs and Players alike!

PRIME RESURGENCE RUNS NOVEMBER 16, 2021 – JANUARY 25, 2022!

NEW PLAYER / EARLY PLAYER EXPERIENCE CHANGES
Introducing the ‘TENNO GUIDE”!

Added a new UI notification when inside the Orbiter that is a persistent reminder for Quests, to help guide new Tenno to their next steps. A lot of new players have felt lost once they finish Vor’s Prize, and this persistent reminder will show them what to do next! This can be disabled at any time in the menus under Options > Interface > Show Tenno Guide!

Heat Sword Crafting Requirements

We are changing the crafting requirement for the Heat Sword to require a Neurode rather than a Neural Sensor. Originally, this was meant to incentivize players to explore new nodes, but we want to get better gear in players hands earlier! This change is smaller than most, but meaningful to new players looking to upgrade their melee early on.

Reduced Crafting Times for the Rising Tide Quest

In March 2021, we made Railjack more accessible by reducing the crafting resources and the time it took to build your Railjack. Now, we will be reducing the crafting times again from 1 hour to 1 minute per part. As Railjack becomes a larger part of the game, we hope this change will allow new players to swiftly complete Rising Tide, and prepare their Railjack for future fights!

Amp Recipe Reductions

This change is two fold: reduced crafting costs for Amp parts, and reduced Standing cost for purchasing parts. Our goal here is to make constructing an Amp more accessible to players by reducing resource demands. This is rooted firmly in the role upgrading your Amp plays in performing well in main quests like The Sacrifice as well as engaging in Focus Tree related content. Here are the changes below:

Reduced Costs for Refined Ore/Gem Blueprints in the Plains of Eidolon

To accompany our changes to Amp crafting, the Standing costs of Blueprints for refined Ores and Gems from the Plains of Eidolon have been adjusted. Here are the new costs:

OSTRON

  • Pyrotic Alloy and Tear Azurite (From 1,000 Standing to 500)
  • Esher Devar and Coprite Alloy (From 5,000 Standing to 2,500)
  • Marquise Veridos and Fersteel Alloy (From 10,000 Standing to 5,000)
  • Star Crimzian and Auroxium Alloy (From 15,000 Standing to 7,000)
  • Radian Sentirum and Heart Nyth (From 20,000 Standing to 10,000)

Sentient Core Standing + Blueprint Changes (NEW since the initial Dev Workshop)

In addition to the already noted changes to Amps and Ore/Gems, we’ve included an increase to Sentient Core Standing return and also modified the Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint. Those starting out on their Quills journey should find this allows them to progress through the Syndicate faster to reach the higher tier Offerings.

Increased Standing return from Sentient Cores:

  • Intact Sentient Core Standing return from 100 to 250
  • Exceptional Sentient Core Standing return from 500 to 750
  • Flawless Sentient Core Standing return from 1200 to 1500

Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint Changes:

  • Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint now transforms 10 Intact Cores into 10 Exceptional Cores, as opposed to 2:2.
  • Duration to Craft and cost to Rush have been halved: down to 5 mins and 5 Platinum respectively.
    • The Radian Sentirum and Heart Nyth values remain as 1 each!

Players who had an Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint crafting will get a one-time gift of 10 Exceptional Cores in exchange for only spending 2 Intact Cores. Bank error in your favor!

Necramech Drop Rate & Crafting Cost Changes

Necramechs have started to play a vital role within the System – from being part of the Railjack experience, to a great tool in our Open Worlds. While their firepower provides an advantage, the time and resource investment required to obtain one has shown to be a deterrent to newer players. As The New War approaches, we aim to alleviate that initial friction and provide an easier path of obtainment.

Enemy Necramechs now have a 50% chance to drop a Necramech part across the board, evenly distributed. The battle required to defeat an enemy Necramech is not easy nor quick. This increased chance of getting a Necramech part helps to reduce the time investment  needed in order to gather the mandatory parts to build your first Necramech.

Additionally, we’ve halved most of the Mining/Fishing part costs for crafting the Voidrig as this is the ‘first’ Necramech players see in the Heart of Deimos quest, so we want to make acquiring it a little easier. Bonewidow has been left as is as a longer-term goal.

The changes are:

Voidrig Casing:
Adramal Alloy: From 120 to 60
Stellated Necrathene: From 16 to 8
Venerdo Alloy: From 40 to 20

Voidrig Engine
Tempered Bapholite: From 100 to 50
Biotic Filter: From 2 to 1

Voidrig Capsule:
Spinal Core Section: From 30 to 15
Marquise Veridos: From 20 to 10

Voidrig Weapon Pod:
Biotic Filter: From 6 to 3
Thaumic Distillate: From 80 to 40
Charc Electroplax: From 45 to 25

Howl of The Kubrow Quest Changes

We have shortened the Survival mission within the Quest from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. We have more Howl of the Kubrow changes coming for Console at a later date – they missed this Update window!

Additional New Player Experience Changes

  • Removed Ceres to Jupiter Task of defeating a Prosecutor to reduce initial friction and get you along your way faster. Prosecutors could take a long time to spawn if you were unlucky.
  • Increased the window of time where you can deal damage to the Vay Hek Propaganda Drone during his boss fight from 8 seconds to 10 seconds. Newer players who attempted the Vay Hek boss fight right when it was available to them found this phase more difficult than it really needed to be.
  • Updated the “The New Strange” objective for Synthesis Targets to make it less confusing. It now reads “Sanctuary Target” as opposed to a specific enemy type which could come across confusing.

*Purchase from the Steel Meridian or Cephalon Suda for Syndicate Standing!
FORMA MASTERY RANK CHANGES:

When we first introduced Forma years ago, Warframe was a much smaller game. We had fewer weapons, fewer Warframes, and way fewer Mods. As players continue their Forma journey, there’s often discussions on doing a Quality of Life (QOL) pass to the way things work with our favourite Golden Puzzle Piece.

We want your Mastery Rank to be considered when using Forma to establish a baseline power level for your playable characters!

What does that mean?

If a Mastery Rank 30 player uses a Forma, they won’t have to re-unlock any Abilities (or their Ranks) on a given item! Yes, they’ll still need to level the gear itself to apply another Forma but, depending on your Mastery Rank, you can have access to more (or all) Abilities on your unranked gear! This achieves our goal of keeping Forma essential to build customization, but allowing players with higher Mastery Ranks a more convenient experience.

Right now, using a Forma on a Warframe (or Archwing/Necramech) requires you to start from 0 when it comes to Abilities you can use. Furthermore, you only get the first Rank of your First ability. Take Valkyr for instance. You install a Forma, and you’re back to only casting unranked Rip Line!

Our change will make it so your Mastery Rank impacts how much you have unlocked by default on Forma use. Following our Valkyr example, with this change, a Mastery Rank 10 player would have all of her abilities unlocked upon applying a Forma to her, albeit not at their full strength!

This ranking process is something players already experience in game – you know by the time you’ve levelled your Valkyr on Hydron to 10, you unlock Hysteria. We are making your Mastery Rank ‘match’ those milestones, so to speak, with the end goal being a Mastery Rank 30 player can use Forma without ever having to be locked out of Abilities. Simply put, the higher your Mastery Rank, the higher the baseline of your gear when using Forma.

*New additions since the Dev Workshop:
Post Dev Workshop feedback and continued conversations have added on another related change to reaching Mastery Rank 30+:

Sorties and Arbitrations now allow Mastery Rank 30+ players that have put at least 1 Forma into their Warframe to bypass the “Rank 30 Warframe” requirement.

NYX ABILITY CHANGES:

Mind Control
The thinking behind these changes are fueled by the amount of investment towards this single Target, and having that pay off more in your favor.

  • Base 500 percent Damage increase to the Target itself that you then feed into with your weapons DPS.
  • Increased base Duration to 45 seconds at maximum rank.
  • Mind Controlled Target now teleports to keep up! This acts similar to other allies (Wukong’s twin, etc).

Psychic Bolts
While this change is minor and provides more of a visual cue, the goal here was to provide a better presentation / feedback when Psychic Bolts connect with a Target.

  • Added a minor one-time stagger to targets bit by Psychic Bolts.

Absorb

  • Increased base Range to 15m at max rank.
  • Scaling Range is now capped at 50m (solving for an exploit), ensuring Damage is balanced by Energy Capacity.
  • Nyx’s Assimilate Augment now allows you to roll, similar to Mesa’s Waltz!
  • Nyx’s Absorb stat screen now shows max explosion radius value.
  • Absorbs additive weapon damage bonus now applies to the player’s equipped Melee weapon.
  • Minor tweak to the GPU particles to clean them up!

FULL UI RESKINS AND FIXES:
We’ve got a handful of reskinned UI screens for your viewing pleasure! Some of these are already live from previous Hotfixes, but we’ve listed them here for full exposure.

  • Invasions
    • The newly skinned Invasions screen offers less cluttered visuals and simplified text to alleviate initial confusion.

Additionally, the screen title has been updated from “Dyes” to “Polychrome Dyes”, ‘in progress’ state has a new animated icon, ‘in progress’ state is now separate from ‘paused’ state, ‘in progress’ sorts to top (paused and completed continue to function the same as there is already a ‘sort by progress’ option in the sort dropdown), and added Tips! We’ve also fixed the completed Dye description calling it a Pigment.

DECORATION MODE CHANGES – BASIC AND ADVANCED MODE:

Warframe Decoration tools are all about customization. We value that quality. The learning curve for new players, however, can be pretty steep. Tools like Surface Snapping and Rotation Axis are ideal for ambitious decorators with particular visions for their Orbiters and Dojos, but they can overwhelm Tenno new to decorating.

We aim to address that difference! The UI improvements and more discussed below include improvements for new and experienced decorators alike.

Introducing Basic and Advanced Mode

To accommodate different approaches to decorating, we’ve created two distinct modes. The UI team has also done a polish and pezaz pass on decoration menus!

Basic Mode only offers essential tools: Place, Move, Remove, Duplicate, Rotate, and Scale

  • The new Help window describes Camera Movement, Capacity Cost, and Advanced Mode.
  • This mode is intended for new players and Tenno who just want to quickly place decorations to give rooms a bit of flare. It’s introductory and quick to use.

Advanced Mode houses all the customization-focused tools decorators already know and use expertly.

  • Decorators can press Tab any time to switch between Basic Mode and Advanced Mode.
  • This mode is intended for Tenno who are serious about custom decorating. It’s specific and focused.

Controller Binding Changes

Some decoration controls on controllers were adopted from Archwing and Railjack. We’ve decoupled those functions to create controls specific to decorating!

Here are the biggest key binding changes for PlayStation:

Old Bindings: New Bindings:
  • Place Decoration: RS
  • Clear Decorations: Nonexistent
  • Move Decoration: Square
  • Remove Decoration: L2
  • Rotate: L2
    • Rotation Axis Cycle: R1
    • Reset All Rotation: R2
  • Push/Pull: R2
  • Camera Facing: R1
  • Confirm: A
  • Advanced Mode: Nonexistent
  • Help: Nonexistent
  • Move Camera Up & Down: X & L1
  • Constrained Movement:
    • Move X: D-Pad Left
    • Move Y: Triangle
    • Move Z: R2
  • Place Decoration: Square
  • Clear Decorations: RS
  • Move Decoration: X
  • Remove Decoration: L1
  • Rotate: L1
    • Rotation Axis Cycle: Square
    • Reset All Rotation: Triangle
  • Push/Pull: R1
  • Camera Facing: Square
  • Confirm: X
  • Advanced Mode: LS
  • Help: RS
  • Move Camera Up & Down: L2 & R2
  • Constrained Movement:
    • Move X: D-Pad Left
    • Move Y: D-Pad Up
    • Move Z: D-Pad Down

New Look

We also refreshed the UI Design overall with this change. Enjoy the new look that improves readability with a Warframe flare!

Rotate Decoration Previews

Instead of a static image, the Personal Decorations menu will show 3D decoration previews that allow decorators to rotate decorations before placing them. Right now, this feature is only available for Personal Decorations.

All Decorations Are Now Scalable

In the past, only Dojo Decorations have been scalable. You can now scale Personal Decorations too! From Dojos to Orbiters, Tenno can customize decoration sizes.

Dojo Improvement: Introducing the Arrival Gate

You now control where Tenno spawn in your Dojo! Place an Arrival Gate and Tenno will appear in that very spot when they visit. Dojos without an Arrival Gate will default to the current spawn system.

General Additions:

  • Added new animations to Wisp and Titania’s move set when using Gunblades.
  • Lavos, Sevagoth, Xaku, Yareli, Baruuk, Gauss, Hildryn, Wisp, Protea and Grendel are now available and can be used in Frame Fighter once their Fragments have been found/Scanned.
  • Added sneezing animations to Companions – time to start carrying around tissue, Tenno!
  • Added Gilded icon to Amp Inventory description if it has been Gilded.

General Changes:

  • Removed the Ghoulsaw from Conclave eligibility.
  • Tweak elemental weapon FX to bring unification across elemental combos.
  • Reskinned the Customization screen for the Note Beacon Decoration to reflect a more Vitruvian style.
  • The Vastilok is now available from Baro Ki’Teer’s Offerings and is tradable.
  • Renamed Gunblade Heavy Attack from Spinning Uppercut to Full Bore.
  • When dragging around Mod Configs to swap (i.e Swapping Mod Config A to Config B), we now swap applied Helminth abilities as well to support the Modding of a given Helminth choice.
  • Wisp players who have the Fused Reservoir Augment equipped will now start missions with the selection on the Fused Reservoir.
  • When a player redeems a code in the Market, we now show more robust icons to depict the item you’re redeeming (if applicable).
  • Sitting in the Helminth chair with a Warframe you haven’t Subsumed yet will now move that option to the top of the list.
  • We now show you ‘Invasion’ progress at the End-of-Mission screen when you’re completing an invasion (i.e 2 of 3 fights for Corpus complete)!
  • Changed the description of Galvanized Aptitude to better reflect its current function (which clarifies that area of effect damage is not included)
    • … BUT WAIT! We want to explain why because it’s very important to us that everyone understands where we are coming from with our current design mindset. AoE Weapons are the dominant ones by every usage metric. We see this day after day. Having this bonus apply to the AoE instance felt dangerously close to a myopic choice concerning powering up player Arsenals that simply do not need it. This mod never worked on AoE, and the description now explains that to avoid confusion. We understand those seeking a different outcome will disagree with this choice, but ultimately we are not willing to further bolster AoE at this time. This is due to the increasing difficulty in creating content that serves to challenge the Tenno.
  • Added some simple logging for Lunaro and Cephalon Capture scoring in dedicated servers. As requested here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/709664-dedicated-conclave-servers/page/26/?tab=comments#comment-12257911
  • Changed Limbo’s Rift status for vehicles (K-Drive, Yareli’s Merulina, etc):
    • On mount, the vehicle inherits the rider’s Rift state.
    • If the rider’s Rift state changes while riding, the vehicle’s will change to match.
    • If the vehicle’s Rift state changes, the rider’s will change to match.
  • Updated Operator Void Dash FX to faster GPU versions.
  • General lighting improvements to trees in the Plains of Eidolon.
  • Updated Melee Slam FX.
  • Made small updates to the Ghoulsaw ride FX.
  • Cleaned up elemental FX on the Heat Dagger.
  • Added ‘Numeric Separators’ option in the Interface settings to change how numbers are formatted. By default, the format chosen is selected based on your language. There are 4 different formats supported:
    • Comma for thousands and period for decimal
    • Period for thousands and comma for decimal
    • Non-breaking space for thousands and comma for decimal

  • Fixed Skins not applying to the Dex Furis Magazines.
  • Fixed script errors when casting numerous Warframe Abilities.

Warframe Update 2.03 Patch Notes; Out for Prime Resurgence 30.9.0 This Nov. 11

Digital Extremes has released the next major update to Warframe, as Warframe update 2.03 is now live! This is called patch 30.9.0 by the studio and is also known as the Prime Resurgence update.

Warframe Update 2.03 Patch Notes | Warframe Prime Resurgence Patch Notes | Warframe Update 30.9.0 Patch Notes:

Please see our Prime Resurgence Workshop for more information & FAQ in the official Warframe Forums:

    • Period for thousands and apostrophe for decimal
  • You will now be sent back to the Dojo instead of your Orbiter when everyone in your squad dies and loses all their revives in Railjack missions.
  • In scenarios where you’re taken to the Relay from your Orbiter (Initiating the Help Clem mission from Navigation, etc) you’ll now be taken to the Strata Relay on Earth. With Strata being the first Relay new players encounter it made sense to swap Larunda out for a more accessible Relay.
  • Vallis Surveillance Drone in the first mission of the Vox Solaris Quest will now continue to replenish Shields if they have been completely depleted.

GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Pulled From PSN Store for Unlocking Early

PlayStation owners who pre-ordered the upcoming remastered series of GTA games got a weird surprise, as GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been pulled from the PSN Store for unlocking early — something that Rockstar Games nor Sony intended to happen before the game’s release date.

In a report by GamesRadar, it has been reported that some PlayStation users got their pre-ordered GTA Trilogy games unlocked way ahead of its scheduled release on November 11. This automatically saw the game pulled from the PSN Store as a result — and players can only add the game to their wishlist instead (Update: It’s back up now and you can buy the game).

Earlier today on November 11, it was reported that some players who pre-ordered the game on PS4 and PS5 consoles were seeing their versions of the GTA Trilogy unlock early. The actual remastered trilogy isn’t supposed to go live until later today at 7am PT/10am ET/3pm GMT, but accidentally unlocked early for an unknown reason.

While it’s a temporary setback for PS4 and PS5 users, it’s only a couple of hours away until the game is officially released and everyone can buy it from the PSN Store. The other digital market platforms for Xbox, Nintendo, and PC users remain unaffected, so they can pre-order the game or just wait all the same for it to come out later at 7am PT.

If you’re a fan of the GTA Trilogy and are wondering what tracks made the cutting room floor, check out the missing tracks list here.

Battlefield Portal: No Plans for Rules Editor on Conquest & Rush; No Rush Support for BF2042 at Launch

While Battlefield 2042’s Battlefield Portal will offer a slate of customization options for the would-be game designer, there still are limitations to it. Speaking to DICE & Ripple Effect Studios, MP1st has learned some of that limitations involve in-game rules, and even modes.

In a recent review event that we attended, Rob Donovan, Senior Game Designer at Ripple Effect Studios took to answering some questions around Battlefield Portal. One of those questions revolved around the series staple game mode, Rush, and whether or not we would be able to edit rules for the game mode.

To the first question, “Will you be able to use the rules editor on conquest or Rush?” the answer is no. We feel that conquest and rush are their own game modes already, certainly there are settings you can tweak them, but from our perspective TDM and FFA are really just to starting point for you to use the rules editor to make your own game. So if you want two teams TDM,  one team FFA, that’s sort of how we positioned it in our heads.

Certainly you can just play TDM with no additional changes, but stacking the rules editor on top of TDM and FFA is really the way to make those crazy game modes. As we said before there is sort of no moving objectives, there’s no spatial component to it, so putting the rules editor on conquest or rush could create some really unexpected, and unpleasant experiences. So we don’t have any plans for that.

And speaking of Rush, for those who have been following Battlefield Portal since its announcement, you may have remembered a few months back about the confirmation (via TheGamer) of Portal offering Rush mode to all Battlefield 2042 maps. Well, we have some bad news here, as Rob has confirmed that this is no longer the case anymore, as no Battlefield 2042 maps will support the mode via Portal, at least at launch.

I think the last time we did one of these review events I mentioned that Rush would be coming to Kingston’s (Battlefield 2042 codename) maps. Unfortunately, as you’ve seen today, that’s not the case. But of course back then we were thinking about it, we were really hoping we could pull it off. We’re not gonna have it on day 1, but the team at Ripple Effects is a huge fan of Rush, I myself am, but we can’t give you a date on it. I’d love to,  let’s see what happens in live service, let’s see what the community wants.

A bit of a bummer but at least it does look like we may end up getting map support for the mode eventually. Fingers crossed that is sooner rather than later.

Battlefield 2042 is now officially available in some markets. Stay tuned for our full review! In the meantime, go check out our initial impressions of the final build of the game via EA’s review event.

Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone Gameplay – Watch Specialists and Different Maps in Action

While EA might have revealed details and a short gameplay clip about Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone mode, it really doesn’t tell us what difference it has with the All-Out Warfare mode. Thankfully, we have a ton of Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone gameplay videos to help with that.

EA invited MP1st to take part in the Battlefield 2042 review and capture event, and one of the things we captured was a lot of Hazard Zone gameplay! Check out the game’s maps play out in the mode, and more.

While it’s not our offical review, we do have an in-depth review event impressions piece on Battlefield 2042, which dives into Hazard Zone, BF Portal, and of course, the All-Out Warfare mode. Check that out here to see how it plays differently from the beta.

Battlefield 2042 will be in early access this November 12, with the official launch set for November 19. Stay tuned to our review hitting the site soon.

Battlefield 2042 Review Event Impressions – Danger Zone

After a one month delay, Battlefield 2042 is finally out this week in its Early Access period. This past week, MP1st was invited to get an early preview of Battlefield 2042 with content creators and media. This was the full build of the game, and according to DICE, it is the same build Early Access players will have this Friday. We had a chance to preview each of the game’s three core modes on a variety of maps for several hours each. So how were they? And what’s changed since the beta? Read on.

Performance

The first thing I was keen to try out was the performance on PC. Thankfully, there have been significant improvements on that front. While frame rates have improved somewhat, the biggest thing I noticed was the increase in overall smoothness. For me, the beta was “stuttery,” and I regularly experienced significant frame drops. Thankfully, that has been almost completely eliminated in the final build.

It is still a demanding title though. DICE recommend an RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 7 2700x for optimal performance. But players looking to play at high frame rates will want a beefy CPU. For reference, on Ultra settings I averaged around 80 – 90fps (frames-per-second) at 1440P, with a 5900x and an RTX 3080. For most of the preview, I opted for the High preset, where I averaged around 95-100fps. All of the numbers above are with DLSS set to Quality mode.

Ray tracing should be avoided altogether at launch. I could barely manage 60fps with it turned on, and the game frequently dipped into the 50’s and 40’s, even with DLSS.

With that said, the game looks excellent. While I wouldn’t say it’s the true next-gen Battlefield experience many were hoping for, the Frostbite engine continues to be one of the most visually impressive around. That goes for the Battlefield Portal maps too.

All-Out War

First, we got to try out Conquest and Breakthrough on six of the seven maps available in All-Out War at launch. Orbital was the only map available in the beta, so I was interested to see how the other maps would play. One thing was common across nearly every attendee I spoke to — Orbital was among the weakest maps in the game. That’s not to say it’s a bad map; but my squad and I felt that other maps were more interesting, varied, and overall a lot more enjoyable to play.

There are other large open maps like Orbital in the game, like Hourglass and Renewal. But these maps also have tighter, more close quarters areas. Renewal for example is literally split down the middle. One half is a wide-open rocky area, and the other is a large industrial complex situated on some dense farmland. Kaleidoscope is set in a raging sandstorm, with a soccer stadium on one side, and a downtown area with towering skyscrapers on the other. For the most part, I felt that these other maps offered better opportunity for gunfights at all ranges — rather than just at long to medium range like on Orbital.

Battlefield 2042 also has doubled the player count on PC and new-gen consoles. While the maps felt pretty well balanced for this in Conquest, at times Breakthrough could get extremely chaotic. Squeezing double the player count into a small sector of the map can feel like bashing your head against the wall – especially on the Attacking side. You now have 64 defenders on the other team pre-aiming at you, rather than 32. You will have to get creative to break through (no pun intended). I suggest bringing smoke grenades.

Everything else is largely the same as the beta, although the severe lack of launch weapons sticks out like a sore thumb. There are a meager 22 new weapons in All-Out War and Hazard Zone, with about 2-4 weapons per weapon type. This will no doubt change as DICE’s post-launch content starts rolling out, but given that they recently announced (link here) that we won’t hear more about that until early next year, anyone playing during the launch window is going to have to live with these. We had everything unlocked from the beginning, so we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to fully experience the weapon and character progression. We’ll have to see how DICE can keep XP grinders intersted until new content starts to roll out.

Hazard Zone

Full disclosure, I have never played Escape From Tarkov. But from what I gather, that’s pretty much what Hazard Zone is.

You and your team drop onto the map, locate and secure data drives, and extract at one of the designated extraction points on the map. The extraction vehicle flies in twice during the match — once about halfway through, and once at the very end. Failing to extract results in a loss, as does a team wipe.

Before each match, you’ll have a chance to purchase weapons, perks and equipment using credits that you earn after completing matches. Getting kills, successfully extracting, and other actions will earn you an increased amount of credits post-match. There’s also a “win-streak” mechanic which earns you increasingly more credits, for every consecutive match you manage to extract in.

What that means is, as a new player, you’re going to have very little to work with, and will have to manage with the default loadout the game gives you. But the more you play, and the better you do, the more credits you stack up to purchase gear before every game. Going on an Extraction Streak also unlocks an additional perk slot, up to a maximum of three. I found that even after losing a match, we earned enough credits to buy what we needed for the next game, but we certainly weren’t buying things like sniper rifles, or some of the higher-tier perks.

There has been some concern about lower skilled players having trouble against Hazard Zone diehards, purely because of the imbalance in loadouts. While our team didn’t find this to be an issue, we also managed to extract somewhat regularly. So while there were games where we failed to, those leftover credits definitely helped. DICE told us this is something they’ll be watching closely at launch (during a Q&A session which MP1st will be diving into in a separate article).

Hazard Zone was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this mode but I can definitely see it being something I play regularly alongside All-Out War and Portal. While it’s not quite a Battle Royale, it has the same sort of feel and it is definitely going to appeal to fans of that genre. This feels like a fully fleshed out mode, not just an afterthought. Communication is key in this mode. In fact, Hazard Zone feels even more team-oriented than All-Out War. Your team’s specialist selection will be crucial, and some of the specialists really shine here.

Battlefield Portal

The third and final pillar of Battlefield 2042 is the new Portal mode. Basically, think of it as the server-browser from past entries, combined with n custom-game editor on steroids. There is an endless list of customizations you can make. From the simple stuff like selecting the map rotation and weapon selection, to the highly specific and wacky stuff. The most interesting mode we tried was a rocket launcher-only Free-For-All, with a twist. To reload your rocket, you had to jump up and down five times. If it sounds crazy, that’s because it was — but it gives you an idea of the amount of freedom the Game Editor gives you.

Thankfully, DICE has made every new map coming to Battlefield 2042 available in Battlefield Portal. They’ve also made five classic maps available from previous Battlefield entries, fully remastered and “reimagined.” There are some changes to them, but for the most part these are the maps Battlefield fans know and love. And they look fantastic.

What really excites me about Portal is the flexibility. Seeing what kinds of creations the community comes up with will be a treat. Battlefield Portal also completely negates the lack of weapon variety in All-Out War. Since all of the new maps are playable in Portal, you can just create a Conquest server, add in the remastered Battlefield 1942, Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3 weapons, and throw in the remastered maps for good measure. DICE also confirmed to us that experience gains will be consistent across all three modes, so there is no downside whatsoever to playing Portal.

With all of this combined, I fully expect Battlefield Portal to be where it’s at.

Final Thoughts

There has been a lot of hype surrounding Battlefield 2042. But as we have seen before, sometimes too much hype can be a bad thing. Is Battlefield 2042 a good Battlefield game? Yes. Is it the savior of gaming that many first-person shooter fans pegged it to be earlier in the year? Not exactly.

After 10+ hours of playtime, I would put my final ranking somewhere between Battlefield V and Battlefield 1. While I don’t think it quite reaches the level of immersion and quality as Battlefield 1 did, it is in my opinion, a far better showing for DICE than Battlefield Vwas.

The new specialist system shakes up the class system of previous Battlefield titles, and allows for far more freedom when creating loadouts. Instead of relying on teammates to play Medic and heal you, you can do it yourself. Hazard Zone is an interesting take on a single-life Battlefield mode, and will satisfy those looking for a more hardcore, team-based experience. And if neither of those work, DICE LA have put a ton of effort into creating the Battlefield Portal which allows the community to make whatever modes they want.

Review build played via digital review event by EA. Battlefield 2042 releases November 19, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.

Black Desert Online Update 2.05 Released This November 11

Pearl Abyss has released the Black Desert Online update 2.05 patch for November 11, which kicks off the conquest war pre-season by introducing all new content along with fixses and improvements. Check out the complete patch notes below.

Black Desert Online Update 2.05 Patch Notes

Conquest War Pre-Season

● The Conquest War Pre-Season has begun.
● Conquest War for Balenos and Serendia have been disabled during this period.

– After reorganization, they’ll be revamped in a different way. Hence, during this period, Conquest Wars will only be held in Calpheon and Mediah territories.
– As the information regarding Conquest Wars will be reset with this change, there will be less tax obtained before Conquest Wars on November 13th.
● Successfully conquering Mediah and Calpheon Conquest Wars will give all guild members a handsome reward, on top of the usual Tax income.
● Liberated territories are no more, as a new points system has been introduced to settle matters in case of 2 guilds remaining at the end of a conquest war.

For more information regarding the Conquest War Pre-season, please check out the 11/11 Patch Notes Part 2.

Blue Maned Lion’s Manor

● On the banks of the Demi River, between Heidel and the Mediah border, sits a brand new Manor. While the building has been under construction for quite some time, it has attracted many curious glares and wonderment from those who passed by. Now that it has been completed, the Blue Maned Lion’s Manor has finally been unveiled.
– Many wonder who the mysterious proprietor of the Mansion is, and now it can be revealed to the patrons of the Golden Toad Inn that Crucio Domongatt is the lord of the manor. Find out more behind the circumstances of the Manor through the related quests needed to obtain your right to use the manor!
For more information regarding the Blue Maned Lion’s Manor, go over to the 11/11 Patch Notes Part 3.

The Master of Flames – Doom

● The final offspring of Krogdalo, Doom, has arose from the darkness in a blazing display of power.

– Due to the intense flames burning throughout Doom, this dream horse boasts a more powerful attack and faster movement than its sisters.
– Doom can be obtained by training and awakening a Tier 8, Level 30 Courser with a Krogdalo’s Origin Stone via Gula at Stonetail Horse Ranch.
– While training your dream horse, you will want to focus on the increases to the Strength stat (over Elegance and Skill) if you want a higher chance of obtaining Doom once the courser successfully awakens.
– Succeeding in awakening your Dream Horse will cause it to turn into one of the three Dream Horses: Arduanatt, Diné, or Doom. Failing to awaken your horse will reset all stats in Skill, Elegance and Strength (using Cron Stones will reduce all stats by 50%).
– The following skills are Dream Horse skills that can be obtained by Doom, Arduanatt and Diné.

Skill Name Skill Effect
Courser’s Spirit Recovers a certain amount of HP and Stamina on standby when unmounted
Double Jump Able to jump once again while jumping (Activated after learning High Jump and Streak Leap)
S: Charge Able to charge once again while charging (activated after learning Charging)

– At Level 1, Doom will already know Courser’s Spirit, Double Jump and Dark Flame Step. There is a certain chance that it will also know Dark Sprint.

– Dark Flame Steps leaves a fiery trail behind doom that inflicts damage to nearby enemies while using Instant Accel and Dark Sprint.

– Dark Sprint can be used after learning Instant Accel and S: Instant Accel and it allows you to speed up once more.

– Using Dark Sprint inflicts damage to nearby enemies and there will be blazing flame effects near the target area. Once Dark Spirit is learned, you can attack enemies while using S:Instant Accel.

– Doom is the only Dream Horse that can learn Two-seater.

– There is an issue where the surrounding environment does not display as intended when using the two-seater skill on Doom. Therefore the skill has been temporarily disabled.

For more information regarding Doom, please check out the GM Note here.

Content Changes

● In Atoraxxion: Vahmalkea, the fight with Urukios has been improved so that the effects are visible even with Character Optimization turned on, and other effects turned off during the Color Orb section.
● With the change to the Time Zones in North America, Node Wars, Conquest Wars, Tax Wagons and World Bosses have been changed back to their original times.
– For more information, please refer to the ‘Daylight Savings End’ notice.
● Changed Imperial Delivery for cooking/alchemy boxes to be able to deliver boxes to the Imperial Delivery Manager regardless of the limits set for each territory and server.
– You can deliver the following items regardless of the limit set for each territory and server.
※ However, limits for Imperial Delivery that are proportionate to your max. Contribution Points remain the same.

Imperial Cuisine Imperial Alchemy
Apprentice’s Cooking Box
Skilled Cook’s Cooking Box
Professional’s Cooking Box
Artisan’s Cooking Box
Master’s Cooking Box
Guru’s Cooking Box
Apprentice’s Medicine Box
Skilled Alchemist’s Medicine Box
Professional’s Medicine Box
Artisan’s Medicine Box
Master’s Medicine Box
Guru’s Medicine Box
In our last update to Imperial Delivery, we had added the Heavy Duty Packaging Cord item, which you could use to mass package imperial cooking/alchemy boxes. For this update, we made changes so that you can deliver imperial cooking/alchemy boxes regardless of the limit set for each territory and server. We recognized that the limits set on the number of boxes that you can deliver for each territory and server were unnecessarily tiring for our Adventurers. With this change, you will no longer have to compete with other Adventurers to deliver your beautifully packaged boxes to a nearby Imperial Delivery Manager NPC.

Conquest War Pre-Season

Due to the change to certain Conquest Wars rules, we will be holding a “Conquest Wars Pre-Season” from November 11th maintenance until December 29th. During this Pre-Season, we will be continuously monitoring all Conquest Wars, keeping an eye out on all the feedback our Adventurers have given us, as we hope to make Conquest Wars a true battlefield for glory and honor. At the start of the “Conquest Wars Pre-Season,” all territory information will be reset, as well as when the Pre-Season ends on December 29th, so we ask for your participation and feedback. The following changes will apply for the “Conquest Wars Pre-Season”:

Certain Conquest Wars rules will be changed. First off, in the spirit of providing a challenge for participating guilds and guild members, we’ve greatly boosted the rewards. Besides the potential tax benefits, a rather substantially-sized reward awaits those who emerge victorious in battle. Even guilds who fought their hardest and faced defeat will still earn a special reward, as well as one for guilds who liberate a territory.

In addition, we are planning to release the Territorial Decree system, where guilds who have won a Conquest War could enact policies over an occupied territory, which has been tested on the Black Desert Global Labs since last April.

However, along with improved rewards, we’ve added AP/DP limits to the Mediah Conquest Wars to offer more Adventurers a chance to participate. We’ve made sure to not set these limits too low, and they will be adjusted depending on the overall growth of our Adventurers over time. While the current type of limits are already fixed, we are also considering a variety of settings such as those that factor in class characteristics to administer selective limits (lower AP, Damage Reduction, but higher Evasion, etc.) in the future.

● Achieving victory in Conquest Wars in Calpheon and Mediah will see all guild members receive a reward in addition to the general tax benefits.

– You can collect your individual rewards for Conquest War from the Guild Information>Guild Member Status> Reward

– You must retrieve your participation reward after a Conquest War ends in order to participate in the next Conquest War.

– Conquest War rewards will expire within 15 days upon receipt.

– Tax Benefits remain the same, and are separate from the individual rewards.

● Liberating territories has been removed, and a new points system has been added.

– If two guilds remain at the end and no winner has been decided, the final result will be determined based on the durability of the Command Post/ Field HQ and annexes from each of the guilds.

– The guild with the highest amount of points at the end of the calculation will be crowned lord of the territory.

– From the remaining guilds/alliances when the Conquest War ends, the top 5 guilds, excluding the highest-ranking guild, will now receive more rewards for defeats than the previous defeat rewards.

– Changed rewards when the point system is applied to now be based on the time elapsed from the moment combat begins in a Conquest War.

* Guilds whose Command Post/Field HQ are destroyed within 1 hour of Conquest War will receive gold bars to the value of 150,000,000 Silver and 10 Resplendent Medals of Honor.

* Guilds who Command Post/Field HQ are destroyed after an hour can win a minimum reward of Gold Bars worth 250,000,000 Silver and 36 Resplendent Medals of Honor, and the rewards will be ranked based on the time the Post/HQ was destroyed.

* If there were less than 6 guilds remaining at the end of a Conquest War, the rewards will be issued based on the order Command Post/Field HQs were destroyed.

For example, if there are only 4 guilds remaining by the end of a Conquest War, the guild who ranks 1st in points will become the Lord and be issued the Glorious Victor Reward, while the other 3 guilds who rank 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in points will be issued a Burning Spirit Reward (V), (IV), and (III), respectively.
The remaining Burning Spirit Reward (II) and (I) will be issued in the order of those guilds whose Fort/Command Post were destroyed latest.

– Points that are used to calculate rankings are as follows:

Command Post/ Field HQ 50 points per 1% of remaining durability

※ The ‘Destroy Command Post’ category refers to destroying Conquest War Fort/Command Post/Field HQ.

● The Adventurer who ranks 1st in contributing to their guild’s Conquest War victory will receive the following buff item upon receiving their reward:
– Conquest War Victory Contribution 1st Place Reward: Battlefield Glory (HP+500 for 4 hrs)
– This item will expire 24 hours from the time it was obtained, and it cannot be used after it expires.

● Balenos and Serendia Conquest Wars will undergo a period of reorganization.
– After reorganization, they’ll be revamped in a different way. Hence, during this period, Conquest Wars will only be held in Calpheon and Mediah territories.
– As Balenos and Serendia Conquest Wars are in the reorganization period, information about the war will be removed from the World Map window.
– Accordingly, we have reset the current information regarding Conquest Wars.

● As a result of the changes made, the occupation status of Conquest Wars for occupied regions have been reset.

● Changed the price of forts, command posts, and field HQs necessary to participate in Conquest Wars as follows:
– Due to the price change, all items stored in your inventory and guild warehouse will be recalled and refunded as Guild Funds based on the same price they were purchased for prior to the change.

Item Name Guild Funds Price Before Guild Funds Price Now
[Guild] Command Post (Conquest War) 50,000,000 Silver 1,000,000,000 Silver
[Guild] Field HQ (Conquest War)
[Guild] Square Fort (Conquest War)
[Guild] Strong Square Fort (Conquest War)
[Guild] Sturdy Octagonal Fort (Conquest War)

● Added AP/DP limits to Mediah Conquest War. However this system is not applied to Calpheon Conquest Wars.
– Max AP and DP limits are applied to the character’s basic attacks, main/awakening skills, summon skills, and all other forms of attacks in PvP. However, it does not apply when on mounts like horses, elephants, hwachas, cannons and other war mounts.

Mediah Conquest War Limits
AP Limit Evasion Limit Evasion Rate Limit Damage Reduction Limit Fixed Damage Reduction Rate Limit Accuracy Accuracy Rate
457 818 20% 326 19% 719 20

● Added limits to Max Accuracy, Accuracy Rate, and All Resistance for Tier 1 Node Wars
– In the case of the Accuracy Limit, it is based on wearing a full Tuvala set, and in the case of the Accuracy Rate Limit, it is the same as the Evasion Rate Limit.

Node Tier Accuracy Limit Accuracy Rate Limit All Resistance Limit
Tier 1 Beginner 652 15 % 20 %
Tier 1 Intermediate 671 15 % 30 %
Tier 1 Advanced 686 15% 30%

● In servers where Node and Conquest wars are currently active, any limits on character stats that apply to a region’s Node/Conquest war will be applied to all Adventurers who enter the region.

Example: If you are not participating in a Node War, but stroll into an active Tier 1 Node War area, your stats will be capped based on the Tier restrictions of that node.

● Added a new skill to the Enhanced Flame Tower that can be used in Node/Conquest War.

– After performing 4 basic attacks, hold O/B to fill the gauge to use the skill ‘Incinerating Flame’.

– Fill the gauge to the max to use Oil for Enhanced Flame Tower x8 then use the skill ‘Incinerating Flame’ for 5 sec.
– The Enhanced Flame Tower will become overheated after using the skill, and it cannot be used for the next 15 seconds.

  • Added the Spirit of Battle content.

– The battlefield gets more heated by the death of comrades who share sorrows and joys.

– The rage that fills in the hearts of your allies can really turn the tides of battle.

– You can check the Spirit of Battle gauge from the UI at the bottom of the Minimap on the upper right of the screen during a Node/Conquest War.

– The Spirit of Battle gauge fills up when you die during a battle, and when it is full, you can use a special skill that applies powerful effects to every guild member. However, since the gauge decreases when constantly defeating enemies, the gauge resets when you use the special skill.

– When the Spirit of Battle gauge is at 100%, it does not decrease and is maintained until you use a Guild Skill that consumes the Spirit of Battle.

– Added a new Guild Skill that can be used by consuming the Spirit of Battle.

* The new skills you can use by consuming the Spirit of Battle are detailed below. These skills require consuming the Spirit of Battle in order to activate, so you can only use these skills during Node and Conquest Wars.

Skill Spirit of Battle Consumption Effect Cooldown

100% Cooldown for reviving during a Node/Conquest War resets
(The effect applies only around your own fort/Command Post/Field HQ)

● Changed the Guild Skills that you can use in Node and Conquest Wars to the following with the addition of the Spirit of Battle content.
– When you use the Guild Skills for Node/Conquest Wars, they will apply to guild members who participated in the Node/Conquest Wars in the same server. The cooldown applies to all servers.
* Applies to the following Guild Skills

Guild Skill

Battle Command to Gather

Horrors of Battle

Healing Touch

Battle Reorganization I

Battle Reorganization II

Intimidating Force

Boost Morale

Frenzied Fighter

Call of the Lord

Breath of Life

Blessing of Battle

– When you are under the effect of the Spirit of Battle, a visual effect will engulf your character announcing it’s activation. This effect is only visible to the person under the effect.
– The effect will be displayed once when the Blessing of Battle skill is used and the buff is applied.

This Spirit of Battle system was added in hopes of guilds that are relatively weak at combat skills being able to make use of this strategically in a relatively equal environment where they have a better chance at fighting back. The battle gauge is basically built to accumulate when dying during battle. On the other hand, when you keep attacking an opponent, or there are many survivors in the guild, the gauge will keep decreasing.

● ‘Sun’s Resolve,’ A dedicated outfit that is only available in Conquest War has been added.

– Sun’s Resolve can be purchased from Guild Managers in large cities for 100,000 Silver.

– Sun’s Resolve can only be purchased once per day, and will last for 24 hours after purchase.

* In order to participate in Conquest Wars, you must equip the Sun’s Resolve outfit set. Failing to do so will mean that you will be unable to deal damage to opposing guilds in Conquest War.

– All guild members can purchase the Sun’s Resolve costume, however there are conditions that need to be met in order to equip it:

– You must have a fort placed in a Conquest War region.
– Applied to participate in Conquest War by pressing the ‘Participate’ button in the Guild window
– You can equip it 1 hour before Conquest War begins.
– Once equipped, the outfit will be dyed a specific color for your Guild in that Conquest War.

– The Sun’s Resolve item will equip into the Helmet, Armor, Gloves, and Shoes outfit slots. Equipping the item will give you the following effects: Jump Height +0.5m, Gear Durability Consumption –10%, and Movement Speed +2.

– During Conquest War, the color of the outfit given will be maintained even if your Fort/Command Post/Field HQ are destroyed

– During Conquest War, the color of the outfit will change to a default color if switching to other servers where the conquest war is not taking place.
(In the case of reconnecting to the server, your outfit will appear as default. In order for the color to be applied once more, you must equip and unequip the outfit.)
– The color of the outfit will be maintained as long as you do not change servers or log in again.
* The color of the outfit will change to its default color if you change servers or log in again.

We added a Conquest War exclusive outfit. This outfit with its shiny plate armor and fluttering cape will enhance the feeling of you becoming a part of a group together with your guild members during Conquest War. Additionally, it helps to differentiate your members from other guilds. The color of the cape will be assigned automatically depending on the number of guilds that participate in Conquest War. Now, you will be able to present a more united front with your fellow guild members with this guild outfit.

Additionally, we’ve added effects that you had with other outfits into the Sun’s Resolve to maintain those same buff effects. You will be able to keep the effects: Jump Height +0.5 m, Gear Durability Consumption -10%, and Movement Speed +2 with the new Conquest War exclusive guild outfit.

We will continue to strive hard to form Conquest War into a heated battlefield where you and your fellow guild members can make amazing memories together.

Blue Maned Lion’s Manor

Previously announced as mansion content, the “Blue Maned Lion’s Manor” has been added. As it is the first manor we’ve ever introduced, we’ve purposely placed it along the Eastern Border near Heidel in Serendia, thus making it easy for many to walk by and appreciate.

We developed the “Blue Maned Lion’s Manor” with a huge emphasis on expanding the content of decorating one’s residence. Therefore, we allocated a good chunk of the content to be available outside the manor, thus allowing you greater freedom to decorate all areas of your manor. Also, we deemed it only fitting to add a section for all things terrace-related, which you can decorate as well.

We’ve added a diverse selection of manor-exclusive furniture to choose from. Various items such as grass and flowers to liven up your own garden, different lighting to accentuate your manor’s majesty at night, along with a wide assortment of trees. We also added the so-called “Effect Objects” (i.e. Fireflies) to offer more meticulous ways to decorate your manor. With our aforementioned increased focus on outdoor decorations, we are planning to release additional furniture and objects of various concepts. You will also be able to host a concert in the garden, open up a mock-dueling circle, or even expand your fields into farms.

Lastly, while we originally planned on granting the rights to rent the manor to only a select group of Adventurers, we decided to remove that restriction and make this content available to all. You will still require an initial investment of 5 Contribution Points, along with a daily tax you will have to pay to Serendia. While the fee may be a bit taxing on your character, we plan to continue to update and release new content for the manor, so we ask for your interest and participation.

● Between Serendia’s central city of Heidel and the Eastern Border, the construction of the manor that caught the eyes of countless passerby has now been completed. This newly finished structure has been christened as the “Blue Maned Lion’s Manor.”
– As speculation continues to swell among tavern patrons on who the exact owner of this incredible manor might be, Lord Crucio Domongatt of Heidel is reported to be seeking Adventurers who wish to reside within the manor. You can find out more by proceeding with the relevant quests.

 ● The Blue Maned Lion’s Manor is divided into outdoor and interior areas. You can install manor-exclusive furniture along with previously existing residence furniture in the interior area of the manor.
– You can only install manor-exclusive objects in the outdoor area.
– You can also freely place all sorts of vegetation (trees, flowers, grass, etc.) along with other objects in the outdoor area.
– You cannot install manor-exclusive furniture inside a normal residence

● Added ‘[Manor] Crucio Domongatt’s Summon’, the pre-requisite quest to be able to rent the Blue Maned Lion’s Manor. Once you’ve completed the questline up to ‘[Manor] A Father’s Heart,’ you will be able to rent the Blue Maned Lion’s Manor for 5 Contribution Points. You’ll be able to accept this quest after completing either ‘[Boss] Witch of Horrors’, ‘Looking for Adventurers’ or ‘[Special Growth] Fughar’s Memorandum – Chapter 6’ which are obtained from the Black Spirit.
※ This quest can only be picked up if you have ‘Life’ quests activated in your Quest window.
– The Blue Maned Lion’s Manor requires a daily rental fee of 1 million Silver. You can get a discount for this fee depending on the number of days you sign to rent the manor.
※ You can use money from either your inventory or your Heidel Storage to pay the cost of the manor.

Contracted Days Discount (%)
29 days or less No Discount
30 ~ 89 days 5%
90 ~ 179 days 8%
180 ~ 364 days 12%
365 days 20%

– Upon cancellation, you will be refunded the usage cost for the remaining days left in your contract minus a certain surcharge.

※ Once your rental period expires, you will no longer be able to access the manor, and all items once installed in the manor will be returned to your storage in Heidel.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Update 1.20 Patch Notes:

While Bethesda has not released the official patch notes, what’s noticeable is that players will see a banner of sorts to upgrade to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition when they boot the game up (which is shown above as the article’s featured image).

It also marks the 10th anniversary with four free Creations: Saints & Seducers, Rare Curios, Survival Mode, and Fishing.

The Anniversary Edition has the following content included if you do choose to upgrade:

INCLUDED CONTENT

CREATION CLUB
The Anniversary Edition and Upgrade includes over 500 unique pieces of content from Creation Club, including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more. With Creations, there is a lot more to discover.

DRAGONBORN
With this official add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary – the first Dragonborn.

DAWNGUARD
The Vampire Lord Harkon has returned to power. By using the Elder Scrolls, he seeks to do the unthinkable – to end the sun itself. Will you join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop him? Or will you become a Vampire Lord? In Dawnguard, the ultimate choice will be yours.

HEARTHFIRE
With this official add-on to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up – from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

If there are bug fixes and whatnot included, we’ll be sure to update the post if and when Bethesda releases an official changelog.

PUBG Update 1.86 Patch Notes:

New Weapon: Mortar

The new Taego weapon Mortar is easy to use in combat situations, but it can take a lot of practice to achieve reasonable accuracy. First, you must calculate the distance to the target and the expected movement path, so calculate carefully. Once you get used to it, it can be helpful to attack behind ridges where grenades can’t reach or when defending specific areas. Also, it can be effective when destroying vehicles. In particular, you can use various strategies in cooperative play, so be sure to use them in battle!

  • Once looted, it takes up a primary slot.
  • Deployment
    • It can only be deployed on flat surfaces.
      • It cannot be deployed on cement, iron, concrete, water, or wooden floors, or inside buildings.
      • Press RT (Xbox/Stadia)/R2 (PlayStation) button to deploy the Mortar.
      • Press X (Xbox/Stadia)/▢ (PlayStation) to cancel deployment.
    • Requires three seconds for deployment.

New Weapon: M79

New Weapon: M79 can be found, not only in Taego but across all eight maps.

  • Weapon slot: Pistol slot
    • Cannot be used in a vehicle’s driver’s seat.
  • New ammo type: 40mm Smoke Grenade
    • Once it hits an object that’s more than 10m far away, the projectile will release the first smoke effect followed by a second one a few seconds later.

  • Damage to enemies: 0
  • Max firing range: 400m
  • Reloading speed: 3.5 – 4 seconds

New Feature: DBNO Swimming

To improve the survivability of players inside water, we are now supporting DBNO Swimming. Previously a player who enters DBNO while in the water would skip DBNO and instantly die. This made any deep water a hazardous area to traverse. Now a player will instead enter Swimming DBNO, a slow swimming state which gives the player a chance to reach the shore and be revived by teammates. Hopefully, you’ll feel more confident next time you get into a Boat or swim across that river!

  • DBNO Players can swim for at half of the normal speed.
  • The air a player has in their lungs is not reset when entering DBNO, so a player who was drowning will continue to drown in DBNO.
  • In DBNO a player is constantly losing HP. combined with drowning HP loss this means that a DBNO player will die within 10 seconds underwater.
  • Reviving underwater is impossible, and any ongoing revive is canceled when either player goes underwater or moves around too much.
  • It is possible to revive a swimming DBNO player while floating on the water.

World

Taego’s New Creature: Chicken

We are proud to introduce the Chicken, a new creature that will hopefully amuse many players during fierce combats in Taego! “Chicken? Why the heck?” you might wonder. The answer to this question is left to your imaginations.

  • Three different conditions apply:
    • Calm
      • This is the default state and, at the same time, the most stable emotional state. Calm as a monk, and nothing special.
    • Fear
      • The Chickens fly, not, run for their lives in the following situations.
      • When hearing
    • Death
      • Sadly, there’s an end to everything. Taego’s amuser also passes away once hit. They take damages from guns and grenades, then turn into fried chicken upon death. Sorry, a bad joke, they go to where we all go.

Steam Deck Delayed by Two Months, Valve Issues Apology

Steam users who wanted to take their games on the go this holiday season will be disappointed, as the Steam Deck has been delayed by two months. With this new development, Valve has issued an apology to those who were looking forward to the handheld gaming device.

In a statement released on their official website, Steam cited material shortage as the reason for the delay and why they couldn’t make the target release window.

The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We’re sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates.

Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping to customers February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue—all reservation holders keep their place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement.

With the release window now moved up to the first quarter of next year, gamers better get their Steam Deck pre-orders on the ready if they haven’t done it yet. You can check out how the interface of the console for dev kits looks like here.

Resident Evil 4 Remade Into a PS1 Game by Fans, Playable Demo Available

Here’s how Leon S. Kennedy’s adventure in Europe would look like if it used tank controls, as Resident Evil 4 is remade into a PS1 game by some fans — with a playable demo available and incorporating the same old school look and feel from the original PlayStation era.

Created by YouTube user Rustic Games BR, the aptly titled RE4 PS1 edition has been in the works for months. Now some gameplay footage has arrived and you can check out a video of that below.

While the fanmade game is still in the works, a playable demo has also been made available by the creator and you can download that to try it out.

Originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube in January 2005, Resident Evil 4 is the first entry in the series to feature an over-the-shoulder style camera and putting emphasis on action oriented gameplay. Directed by Shinji Mikami, the story sees U.S government agent and Raccoon City survivor Leon S. Kennedy tasked with rescuing the president’s daughter from a cult known as the Los Illuminados. The game has been critically acclaimed, and has seen numerous ports and updated releases through the years in different platforms. The latest one released is Resident Evil 4 VR for the Oculus Quest 2, and you can read about the changes made to that version here.

Battlefield 2042 Season 1 Launches in 2022, Details Coming “Early Next Year”

With Battlefield 2042, EA is focusing on the live services aspect of the game, which is par for the course when it comes to multiplayer shooters these days. This means that we’ll be getting seasonal content in the form of new maps, Specialists, weapons and more. For those wondering when Battlefield 2042 Season 1 will start, it won’t be this year as confirmed by EA.

EA confirmed that Battlefield 2042 Season 1 won’t be starting until 2022, with info set to be delivered “early next year.” Here’s what EA had to say regarding post-launch support for BF2042:

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER LAUNCH

Launch is only the beginning.

We’re taking a new approach to live service with not only a commitment to new content, but a goal of enhancing the Battlefield experience through seasons that will continue to evolve the world of Battlefield 2042.

In our first year of live service, we will deliver four Seasons, with four Battle Passes, four new Specialists, and new locations along with more fresh content. We also intend to deliver updates to Battlefield Portal that will give players more ways to build and share new Battlefield experiences with the world.

That means for Season 1, you can expect a new Specialist, Battle Pass and Portal content, and maybe even some new sights to see as the story of Battlefield 2042 continues to unfold. Expect more details early next year.

During launch we’ll also kick off the Preseason with Weekly Missions and Rewards, Limited Time Modes, featured Creator Spotlights and experiences in Battlefield Portal, and more!

Mind, given we’re already in November, it’s a bit much to ask that DICE release the first season in a month’s time (in December). But still, for those hoping for that, well, you can stop hoping.

Battlefield 2042 will officially launch on November 19 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Chivalry 2 Update 1.10 Rolled Out for Patch 2.2.3 This November 10

Torn Banner Studios has released the Chivalry 2 update 1.10 (PS5 version 1.010) patch this November 10, and this is called patch 2.2.3 by the studio! This title update includes crash and performance improvements, animation fixes, and more. Check out the complete patch notes below.

Chivalry 2 Update 1.10 | Chivalry 2 Update 1.010 Patch Notes:

Patch 2.2.3 focuses on resolving critical player teleporting/warping issues and animation issues where animations were not playing as intended. These animation issues were likely experienced as server-related issues, such as bad server performance, lagging, and stuttering. We expect that these animation issues will greatly improve the flow of combat, but will continue to work with the community on smoothing out any other potential issues that may not yet be resolved.

Multiple server and client crashes have also been resolved.

Performance/Crashes

  • Fixed a rendering crash on PS5
  • Improvements for an out-of-memory crash on PS4 and XB1
  • Fixed multiple server crashes
  • Fixed some map soundbanks always loaded and causing memory issues
  • Optimization changes made to Galencourt

Matchmaking

  • New Matchmaking queue setup
    • 64p Mixed Modes remains the same –
      • Positions for Lionspire and Galencourt have been switched to be chronological
    • 40p FFA and Brawl queue are now merged into one queue
    • 40p Last Team Standing queue now available
  • Fixed an issue where OCE/Asia/Japan players searching in matchmaking would be sent into wrong region servers
  •  Potentially resolved a case where players (especially console players) would be anti-cheat kicked after reconnecting to a server. Please let us know if this still occurs.

Animation

  • Major replication fix to address teleporting of players
  • Fixed a player warping issue that occurred when players would leave and re-enter the players field of view
  • Fixed an animation issue where attacks did not always animate when queued from outside players vision
  • Fixed an issue where riposte attacks sometimes weren’t animating to other players, causing players to damage you even when it looked like they didn’t swing
  • Fixed “parry forgiveness” (when you counter with the wrong input within 0.10s, allowing you to block an attack and riposte instead of taking damage due to the wrong counter input) riposte attack sometimes not animating
  • Fixed an issue where parry animation wasn’t playing if the defender performed a block from an Interrupting state
  • Fixed an issue where hitting someone’s missing limb while they were attacking caused a swing through

Combat

  • Fixed a bug where players were not awarded score for any takedowns
  • Active riposte with a shield no longer deals damage to the shield (this will buff shield durability in 1vsMany fights)

Gamemodes

The top three changes were listed in the previous patch but were not actually included in that update. This has now been resolved and these changes will be live in this update (2.2.3).

  • Fixed the archer limit not actually being enforced
  • Fix for arena queue matches forming uneven teams
  • Adjusted Votekick values across all modes making votekick harder to pass
  • Fixed the unintended delay after spawning in Brawl mode locking the player in place briefly

Maps

  • Fixed bots being invisible on Galencourt and Falmire
  • Ammo carts removed on Falmire (Last Man Standing mode)
  • Fixed an exploit on Fighting Pit LTS allowing players to be out of combat
