Minecraft Update 3.09 Installs Bedrock 1.21.71

[summaraize]

Minecraft  has a new patch on all platforms as Bedrock version 1.21.71, and this is a minor update that brings fixes to the Spring to Life content drop earlier this week.

Console players will see this as Minecraft update 3.09, which is a small download. Don’t expect a lot of fixes, as this is more of a reactionary patch than anything else.

Minecraft Update 3.09 Patch Notes for Bedrock 1.21.71

Minecraft New Update 1.015

Here’s what’s in the patch per Mojang:

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented buttons for external links from working correctly on iOS devices
  • Fixed mobs playing their death animation twice as quickly as they should have (MCPE-191525)
  • Fixed client and server desynchronizing on entities the client erroneously thought were dead

Don’t be surprised to see another patch or two released next week. The Spring to Life update introduced a host of new features and content that sometimes affect the game in unexpected ways.

Some of the new features and content released earlier this week include:

  • New Blocks
  • New Ambient Sounds for Desert and Badlands
  • Animal Variants
  • Updated Trades
  • Sheep wool color in warm and cold biomes

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, as the patch notes for that patch is a few thousand words long.

If another update is released, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

[summaraize]

NetEase has pushed out Marvel Rivals update 1.000.015 today, and this is to add a free gift to players! While there doesn’t seem to be any gameplay-related changes, this does add a new Venom emote that’s bound to be controversial, and new cosmetics for sale.

Note that we did just get a gameplay-affecting patch the other day, so this is to be expected. I’m honestly surprised we got a new patch today.

Marvel Rivals Latest Patch Released on March 28 Adds a Free Gift and It’s Venom Twerking

marvel rivals canceled

Once players finish Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure and collect all 24 rewards, they’ll receive the “Symbiote Boogie” emote for Venom. The free gift will be available from March 31 at 5 pm PDT/8 pm EDT/8 am HKT, and ends on April 3 at 5 pm PDT/8 pm EDT/8 am HKT. If you want to see How Venom looks twering…well, here you go:

Alongisde the new emote, new premium (read: paid) skins for Moon Knight (Fist of Vengeance) and Black Panther (Thrice-Cursed King) are also available. Here’s a quick look at the two cosmetics:

If NetEase releases more info about today’s patch, we’ll add it to the article. This isn’t the first time we got a patch without an acknowledgement from the devs, though it is unusual.

Season 2 should be around the corner, so expect a blowout regarding it to be revealed soon.

Shuhei Yoshida Says Japan Studio Closed Due to PlayStation Not Wanting AA Titles

[summaraize]

Sony and Xbox have been highly focused on releasing AAA titles to sell their consoles over the years. While it was not a bad decision, players got to see the revival of iconic franchises like The Last of Us, Spider-Man, and many others.

This has also led to the closure of many great studios, including Japan Studio. Talking about it in a recent interview, former SIE Worldwide Studios’ president Shuhei Yoshida stated that the studio was closed because PlayStation was more focused on releasing AAA games and didn’t want AA titles.

Shuhei Yoshida Explains Japan Studio Closure

Shuhei Yoshida Japan Studio

Speaking to AV Watch, Shuhei Yoshida stated that since he was in charge of releasing first-party titles, he was told to make powerful games to sell the hardware.

He said, “The company wanted such things, and while we had to make them, the scale of development and the sales required were getting bigger and bigger.”

He further stated that while Japan Studios were still coming out with interesting and creative ideas, they were still AA titles, which led to the studio’s closure soon after Yoshida stepped down from his president position. “At the time Japan Studio was a ‘team that was good at making AA titles’. In that case it probably didn’t match with what the company and first-party wanted..”

Although the studio produced some of the best and most beloved titles for PlayStation, including Ape Escape, Gravity Rush, and more, many of these may eventually fade into the history books. It’s disappointing to see a studio full of creative and unique ideas shut down simply because they wanted to focus on AA-sized games.

In other news, Shuhei Yoshida says the launch of Xbox games on PS5 is a “victory” for PlayStation owners. He states that PlayStation owners will now have access to games they previously couldn’t play due to Microsoft’s new approach.

Nintendo Reveals Switch Virtual Game Cards, New Smart App; Here’s a Summary of the Latest Direct

[summaraize]

In case you missed it, Nintendo hosted a direct earlier today where they made a ton of new announcements regarding the Nintendo Switch. Although the Switch 2 is set to launch this year, it seems the console and game maker still has loads of plans for the first Switch before its successor drops.

This includes an entirely new way of sharing your digital games with friends, along with what might just be one of its biggest lineups in recent years.

Nintendo Shares A Look at Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games

Virtual Game Card

Introducing the virtual game card – a new feature for easily managing purchased digital games, playing games on two different systems, and even lending or borrowing games. Similar in concept to moving physical game cards between systems, virtual game cards make it possible to “eject” a purchased digital title from one Nintendo Switch system and “load” it onto another – whether it belongs to a member of the same Nintendo Account family group, or a second system tied to your account. This optional feature allows you to view virtual game cards or eject them from your system. The digital game can also be lent to a Nintendo Account family group member’s system via local wireless connection. Games that you lend can then be played on a Nintendo Account family group member’s system for two weeks, after which the game will be automatically returned to you. This feature will be available on Nintendo Switch starting late April via a hardware system update. Additionally, virtual game cards will also work with Nintendo Switch 2 systems at launch.

Nintendo Today

A brand-new app* that delivers Nintendo content to your smart devices. This smart-device app is like a daily calendar which delivers a variety of content including latest news, videos, and comics of your favorite Nintendo games and characters from select franchises. After the Nintendo Direct presentation about Nintendo Switch 2 on April 2, you’ll also find information about the Nintendo Switch 2 system directly on the app. Anyone with a Nintendo Account and compatible smart device can use the free app. Available to download from the App Store and Google Play starting later today.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Choose either Chikorita, Tepig or Totodile to be your first partner Pokémon and begin a new adventure in Lumiose City – a setting that was introduced in the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. At night highly skilled Trainers are invited to participate in the Z-A Royale tournament: Just enter a battle zone to begin your climb from Rank Z all the way up to Rank A – Trainers who reach the top are even said to have a wish granted. Day and night reveal two sides to Lumiose City … so what will you find on your adventure? Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches on Nintendo Switch late 2025.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion Brings the ’90s Nostalgia With a New 2D Brawler

[summaraize]

Dotemu and Tribute Games are back with another classic beat ‘em up title, though this time you’ll be going into the brawl as a super-charged superhero. Enter the world of Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a new cooperative brawler whee you take on the role of one of the many iconic heroes in the Marvel Universe.

There’s a trailer for it that showcases gameplay, along with information about the game’s release sometime this year.

Dotemu and Tribute Games Trade Their Turtle Shells For a Shield, Sword, Adamantium Claws, and Web Shooters

I can’t say I was expecting this to be announced, but I’m glad it was, and even more so knowing that the minds over at Dotemu and Tribute Games are behind it. You can tell from both the animated intro and the gameplay that the teams are massive fans of the universe, not just the comic source material, but also other work, such as Marvel Vs. Capcom. If you pay attention, you can see a few familiar moves inspired by the game in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion.

In the press release, we get a little bit more about the story of the game, as well as some words shared by Dotemu, Tribute Games, and Marvel Games:

“In MARVEL Cosmic Invasion the immortal Super Villain Annihilus has launched an unprecedented attack across the galaxy, threatening all life as we know it. Fighters both Earth-born and cosmic must now join forces in a star-spanning adventure against the deadly Annihilation Wave. Brawl through the streets of New York City all the way to the depths of the Negative Zone to foil Annihilus’ vow to spread death across the cosmos.”

“MARVEL Cosmic Invasion celebrates a universe that’s enthralled our team since childhood, and the genuine honor of being entrusted with this incredible roster also begins a new era for Dotemu’s work with the best entertainment franchises in the world,” said Cyrille Imbert, CEO of Dotemu. “MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is truly a lifetime in the making – and after witnessing Tribute Games’ unwavering devotion to the fans and passion for beloved characters firsthand throughout the development of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, we knew teaming up with them for a modern evolution of arcade-style MARVEL action was the only choice.”

Tribute Games CEO and co-founder, Jean-François Major adds:

“I’m quite sure I speak for the whole team at Tribute Games when I say we are profoundly honored to work on MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. This project allows us to pay homage not only to the iconic MARVEL characters but also to the classic arcade games that shaped our love for gaming. We approach this cherished license with the utmost respect, infusing every pixel with the care and passion it deserves. We once again set out to modernize and push forward the genre while respecting what made the classics great. We couldn’t ask for better partners at MARVEL and Dotemu who both understand and share our passion. They amplify our dream for this project.”

Haluk Mentes, Head of MARVEL Games, comments:

“At Marvel Games we feel privileged to make games that we ourselves want to play. Our whole team are huge fans of Tribute and Dotemu’s work, so it was inevitable that we’d assemble with them to bring players the ultimate Marvel Beat’ em Up, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion – a game we can’t wait for players to dig into!”

There’s no release date other than a 2025 target window, and it’ll be on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC.

Ubisoft Forms New Gaming Subsidiary With High-Profile IPs; Tencent Acquires 25% Stake In It

[summaraize]

Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six have a new home. Ubisoft announced today that it has started a brand-new non-public subsidiary that will now be in charge of some of its biggest franchises.

Ubisoft has partnered with Tencent on the new company, which will own 25% of it.

As the Future of Ubisoft Continues to Loom, the Publisher Teams Up With Tencent for a New Company

tencent invests in Ubisoft

The rumors are true, as Ubisoft announced today that they have started a new subsidiary with Tencent. While details are still light, Ubisoft revealed that the newly formed company is being set up to house the mentioned IPs and bring the development teams over. They valued the new unit at a whopping $4.3 billion, with Tencent also investing heavily in it, acquiring a 25% stake.

Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot, had this to share about the news:

“Today Ubisoft is opening a new chapter in its history. This is a foundational step in changing Ubisoft’s operating model that will enable us to be both agile and ambitious.”

Of course, this brings up many questions, such as what does that mean for other franchises such as Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia? Only Ubisoft knows, though it has brought much talk and speculation online that Ubisoft may be gearing up for a potential mass layoff.

Previous rumors stated that the reasoning behind this was to increase the value of Ubisoft, though it’s hard to say at this moment if it has. The company’s stocks jumped nearly 13% today, though given how low the prices were, such influxes could be due to several reasons, as their stocks have seen similar increases and decreases over the last year.

It’s also important to note that this isn’t a response to the performance of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which, according to Ubisoft, has attracted over three million players since its launch. These types of decisions take months, especially when another party, such as Tencent, is involved.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation as things develop.

Civilization 7 Update 1.000.007 Drops for PS5, PS4 to Address Stability Issues

[summaraize]

Following the big Civilization 7 patch 1.1.1 the other day that introduced a host of new features and new DLC, Firaxis has released another patch for PlayStation gamers. Civilization 7 update 1.000.007 for PS5 and Civ 7 update 1.05 on PS4 is now available for download, and this is to fix a few nagging issues.

Most importantly, players on those platforms will see significant stability improvements, which was an issue after installing the content patch earlier this week.

Civilization 7’s New Update Addresses Stability Issuess and Minor Issues

Civilization 6 Update 1.17

According to Firaxis, here’s what to expect in this patch:

Today, we’re rolling out a small patch that addresses a number of reported issues and aims to improve overall stability – particularly on PS4 and PS5.

Quick note for Switch players: this patch is still on the way. In the meantime, we’ve added a new Steam beta branch to keep crossplay with Switch up and running – full Steam beta branch instructions here. Thank you to Switch players for hanging in with us while we work to push this patch out to all platforms.

  • Made stability improvements to all platforms, and addresses multiple reported stability issues for PS4 and PS5.
  • Addressed several reported issues where civs were not unlocking correctly during an Age transition. (Unfortunately, due to the nature of this issue, this change will not apply to existing saves.)
  • Addressed a reported issue where resource icons were not scaling properly at higher resolutions.
  • Addressed a reported issue where Spain civ’s City names could be missing localization.

As you can see, the Nintendo Switch version still doesn’t have the patch live yet, though that should change soon.

Battlefield Labs Datamine Reveals Weapons, Jet Info and Possible Release on Steam

[summaraize]

With the Battlefield Labs playtest client out in the wild, not only are we getting leaks, but people are now datamining it as well, and it has proved to be a trove of info that we should expect for the new Battlefield game.

This time, datamined info has surfaced regarding the weapons in the BF Labs client, info on the jets and more.

Battlefield Labs Datamine Unearths Weapons List and More

Important to note: Datamined files, especially for pre-alpha builds like BF Lab, should not be taken as fact. These could be leftover code from other games, planned items that could be yanked at the last minute, etc. Even temporal adds this disclaimer: “Datamined content from playtests doesn’t have to be part of the release version and may be added during the live service months or even years later (e.g. XFAD-4 Draugr in Battlefield 2042) – or not at all (RIP MGA SAW K).”

The datamined info comes from the super-reliable temporyal who seems to be back in the Battlefield scene after taking a hiatus. Based on the Battlefield Labs files, temporal managed to unearth a good list of primary and secondary weapons.

Assault Rifles

  • 6P67 KORD
  • ACE 32
  • G36
  • G3A4
  • HK433
  • L85A3
  • SCAR-L
  • Tavor 7

Carbines

  • AK-205
  • HK417 A2
  • M4A1
  • MSBS Grot B
  • QBZ-192
  • SCAR-SC
  • SG 553R
  • XM7

PDW / SMG

  • APC10
  • MPX
  • MP5 MLI
  • MP7 A2
  • P90
  • UMP40
  • Vector

LMG

  • M240L
  • M27 IAR
  • M249
  • M60E6
  • MG4
  • RPKM
  • Ultimax 100
  • XM250

Bolt-Action Rifles

  • M2010
  • MRAD
  • SV-98M

DMR

  • DRM
  • M39 EMR
  • SVCh
  • SVDM

Shotguns

  • 18.5 KS-K
  • 590A1
  • KSG-12
  • M1014

Secondary

  • Five-Seven Mk3
  • G22
  • M18
  • M327 TRR8
  • M45A1
  • Raging Hunter

Not only that, but temporal even managed to spot info about the aircraft in Battlefield Labs’ files too.

That’s not all that’s new. While we already know the game is headed to PC and consoles, it seems it’ll also be headed to Steam. The file below was spotted in the Battlefield Labs client by playtesters:

As with the datamined info, this isn’t 100% confirmation that the new Battlefield game is coming to Steam (though it most likely is). However, it could very well be placeholder code left by DICE by older Battlefield games since the BF Labs client does borrow some assets from Battlefield 2042.

Unfortunately, temporyal is also quick to say that this is not confirmation that they are back to datamining Battlefield, stating, “On a personal note, this is not the start of a new datamining journey with frequent updates on every aspect of the game, but rather a brief nostalgia trip for the good old days.” Now that’s a bummer.

Stay tuned for more Battlefield coverage here on MP1st.

Path of Exile 2 Update 1.021 Brings First Major Content Update “Dawn of the Hunt”, Playable April 4

[summaraize]

Path of Exile 2 update 1.021 is now live. Although players won’t see anything new with it today, the update adds support for the first major content drop slated to release next week.

Get ready for a hunt, as new classes are being introduced, along with new maps, gear, and so much more.

Prepare for the Hunt In Path of Exile 2 With Update 1.021

The official changelog for this update is as follows:

  • Added support for our upcoming Path of Exile 2 announcement.
  • Enabled the microtransactions from the Penance and Paladin Series of Supporter Packs for use in Path of Exile 2. Thank you for your support!

For those confused by the first line, this refers to the newly announced content drop, arriving on April 4, 2025. Below is a breakdown (via press release) of everything coming in.

Highlights of Dawn of the Hunt

  • Strike down your prey with the new Huntress class, a dexterous Spear and Buckler user specialising in hybrid melee and ranged combat
  • Master the forces or exploit notables with five new ascension classes– the Ritualist, Amazon, Smith of Kitava, Tactician, and Lich
  • Face dozens of new encounters in the endgame along with significant mechanical overhauls
  • Discover over one hundred new unique items as well as significantly expanded crafting options to enhance your monster slaying abilities

Obliterate your enemies with the hybrid ranged and melee Huntress
Step into the bloodstained boots of the Huntress, a dexterous and ferocious spear-wielding warrior. Banished from her homeland, she now stalks her prey using both ranged spear throws and close combat attacks. Her brutal arsenal is designed to make combat feel like a relentless pursuit, always in motion, moving into and out of melee range at a moments notice.

The Huntress can also Parry incoming attacks from monsters, stunning them before following up with one of several counterattacks. For example, use Disengage after a Parry to quickly jump back, gaining a Frenzy charge, then follow up with an empowered spear throw.

Stalk your prey with an array of elemental spear attacks that empower the Huntress to use some of the longest combo chains we have created on any class.

Create mayhem with five new ascendancy classes
With five new Ascendancy Classes, Dawn of the Hunt introduces fresh new ways to expand your build options.

  • Ritualist (Huntress) – The Ritualist sacrifices flesh and blood, unleashing corrupted lifeforce upon their foes. She delved into the forbidden depths of Azmeri traditions, wielding blood sacrifice and plague as weapons
  • Amazon (Huntress) – A peerless hunter who thrives on precision and elemental fury. The Amazon Ascension forges warriors into elite hunters, sworn to protect Azmeri Elders with lethal precision.
  • Lich (Witch) – The Lich tears their own soul apart, becoming a master of undeath and chaos. The Lich is a master of Chaos and Curses who can use her own life to enhance her Energy.
  • Smith of Kitava (Warrior) – The Smith of Kitava forges weapons of destruction in fire and suffering. Embrace sheer power and take Smithing skills to greater heights by resonating with the insatiable one – Kitava.
  • Tactician (Mercenary) – the Mercenary Tactician brings military-grade brutality to the battlefield. As a former trained Blackguard Elite, the Tactician is able to decimate the monsters of Wraeclast while earning a healthy income at the same time.

Sharpen your arsenal with new skill and support gems
As well as 20 New Spear Skills designed for the huntress, we have two other much anticipated abilities.

  • Raise Spectre – This skill lets you trap and summon the souls of almost any monster in the game. With hundreds of monster variants in Path of Exile 2, expect endless experimentation to find the perfect undead army.
  • Summon Rhoa Mount –  Call forth a Rhoa to fight by your side or mount it to move at full speed while attacking. But beware, taking too much damage can knock you off, leaving you vulnerable to a brutal fate.

This expansion also brings a massive overhaul to character development by adding over 100 new Support Gems to enhance build diversity. Support gems add a variety of interesting effects to your existing skills, modifying them in game changing ways.

For example, Haemocrystals turn bleed effects into explosive Vaal crystals, and Caltrops allow your existing skills to litter the battlefield with slowing hazards.

Unlock greater potential with Over 100 new Unique Items
Dawn of the Hunt brings a stronger focus on Mid and Endgame Unique items, ensuring high-level characters have more thrilling bounty to chase.

Unbridled power awaits with new crafting tools
New crafting tools have been introduced as rewards across many areas of the game:

  • Over 20 new runes have been added allowing you to craft new mods onto your gear
  • Runes now scale with multiple tiers, allowing for stronger mods that remain viable in the endgame.
  • We’re expanding crafting options further by introducing more specialized socketable mods, with the first wave arriving in the upcoming content update.

Darkness lurks ahead
The Azmeri Spirit has made itself present in Wraeclast. When approached, these wisps will flee, and monsters it comes into contact with will be infused by it, making them more powerful. Wisps will also find and possess Rare or Unique monsters, granting them powerful new abilities, and powerful new rewards. There are twelve distinct types of wisp, each with their own mechanics and rewards.

New Maps
Dawn of the Hunt adds 8 new Maps offering fresh challenges and rewards. Each of them come with interesting new encounters.

Be forced to fight mirrored Rare monsters in a shifting, warped reality in The Fractured Lake, or be thrust into the wild Ezomyte Forests of The Phaaryl Megaliths where rune-carved stones surge with energy.  Survive the storm-fueled gauntlet of deadly boss waves, and you’ll earn full boss rewards and exclusive Runes

Unique Strongboxes

Find four new Unique Strongboxes, each with deadly mechanics and valuable rewards.

  • Ogham’s Legacy features a rune-carved stone and a slain creature that, when activated, revives as a powerful Rare. Each defeat triggers another resurrection with added modifiers making the fight progressively more difficult, but also more rewarding.
  • Ixchel’s Torment harnesses ancient Vaal thaumaturgy, unleashing Chaos-empowered guardians to protect a powerful artifact. Victors will be rewarded with a unique item featuring a specific Corrupted outcome.

Corrupted Essences

Essences receive major upgrades, with four new Corrupted Essences – Hysteria, Delirium, Horror, and Insanity – offering new combat mechanics and powerful new crafting outcomes, such as guaranteed double Enchantments when using a Vaal Orb on belts.

Cleanse the Corruption
Corruption has continued to spread throughout Wraeclast and has formed into larger and larger zones. In the centre of each one lies a Corrupted Nexus, the home of three new terrifying bosses, amalgamations of Corruption itself.

Upon defeating these bosses, any remaining areas within the zone of Corruption will become cleansed. Cleansed Maps have additional new monsters, a new boss and their own set of Modifiers and rewards.

Duel with Rogue Exiles
On your travels you will sometimes encounter Rogue Exiles – others like you who have been exiled and are openly hostile. They will challenge you – a fight to the death. These Exiles have capabilities to Dodge Roll, avoid your abilities with smart pathfinding, smart-targeting, and much more action-packed gameplay. Rogue Exiles use the same skills available to players, and even the same items. They aren’t just dressed up in those items, they know how to take advantage of the Uniques they are using.

Of course, if you are able to slay these Exiles, those items will all drop on the ground!

Dynamic improvements to endgame
Dawn of the Hunt significantly rebalances the endgame. The number of towers has been drastically reduced but they have been made much more powerful. Tablets now affect twice as many areas and running higher tier Maps in Towers increases this number further still. In addition, each Tower will be able to consume up to three Tablets at once.

These changes significantly reduce the amount of busy work required in endgame while improving your ability to use them. On top of that, Towers can now spawn with all mechanics, and have their own new Bosses!

Prepare for the Hunt
Rise as a hunter, or fall as prey on April 4, 12pm PT. The Dawn of the Hunt content update will also be made available in existing Early Access leagues for those wishing to play their existing characters. It is recommended to start anew in a fresh economy to get the full, recommended experience in the Dawn of the Hunt leagues.

There you have it: everything coming April 4! We’ll be seeing you all out!

Reddit Down and Having Loading Issues on March 27

[summaraize]

Are you having issues loading Reddit? If you can load the client but your timeline won’t refresh or subreddits aren’t opening, it’s not just you. Reddit is down, and its servers are acting up this March 27, 2025.

Upon our testing both desktop and mobile are having issues loading the app.

Reddit Down With Issues on March 27 Per Reports

Downdetector has seen a huge spike in reports just now with people flagging the platform as having issues. However, the Reddit status checker doesn’t mention any issues affecting it for now. Of course, that could change in a bit once someone at Reddit notices the downtime.

It’s not just Reddit having issues, as Twitter/X is also having problems loading its timeline.  Could the two be connected? We can’t say for certain. What we do know is, we’ll be updating this article with more info as it surfaces, so stay tuned.

If you can load Reddit, leave a comment below and let us know where you’re connecting from. Hopefully, this will be sorted ASAP.

Twitter or X Is Down on March 27 With Issues Loading Timelines and More

[summaraize]

If you’re one of the millions using Twitter or X everyday, chances are you’ve noticed that things have slowed down when it comes to your timeline. It’s not a case of people just stopped tweeting, but rather, the Twitter/X platform is down this March 27!

While the client itself loads, the timeline takes sometime to load properly or it loads tweets (x’s?) that are from hours ago.

Twitter / X Is Down, Call Elon!

elon musk diablo 4

The Downdetector site has confirmed that reports have started flooding in regarding Twitter/X’s outage today, as more than 2,500 people have flagged that they are having issues with the platform.

So far, Twitter troll and ultra-billionaire Elon Musk has not said anything about the outage. Either he’s dipping his toes into political waters again, or perhaps he’s busy counting his mountains of cash. Either way, the vocal X owner has not ackowledged the outage just yet.

Musk has been makign the news in the gaming world lately, as he has sided with a known grifter regarding Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and the Twitter account of the game burned him for bad.

We’ll update the story as we get more info regarding the outage. If it somehow works fine for you, leave a comment and let us know where you’re tweeting from, as this might be a localized issue or something else.

The PS VR2 release of HITMAN is here, allowing players to enjoy all the original main campaign’s locations through the eyes of Agent 47*. With dual wielding, manual reloading, using sniper rifles’ scopes, and hundreds of different manual interactions to reinforce your immersion in the game, whatever way you choose to complete your missions; you will definitely have a hand in it. One of the other key additions is the disguise mechanic, which uses a physics-based approach to grab any disguise you want and then put it on. With all these tools at hand, plan with extreme precision, execute flawlessly and complete your missions any way you want, all in VR.

LOCALIZATION

Wrong Agent for the job
We solved an issue where the Italian description for the Embrace of The Serpent starting location would refer to Agent 47 as “48”.

KNOWN ISSUES

We have a few known issues linked to the PS VR2 launch that may occur. Those are currently tracked by the team, who is working on additional improvements and bug fixes.

Gameplay

  • Moving the head over certain geometry can cause fade to black.

  • A crash can happen when interacting with a PC and camera recordings while holding fiber wire in both hands.

  • Sticky items can turn invisible when placing them on doors.

  • The supporting hand may not fully grip a weapon when the weapon collides with geometry.

  • Some safes with a keypad may be missing the interaction prompt and are not highlighted in instinct mode, even though they can be interacted with.

  • Changing disguise in front of NPCs is now considered as an illegal action, however, the “illegality” lasts too short to have any impact outside of combat or alerted state.

  • Completing “The Farewell” mission on Mendoza by dancing with Diana can change the perspective of any other mission to third person.

In other news, IO Interactive has big plans for the James Bond IP, as they hope to make multiple games following the first one.

No Man’s Sky Update 5.061 Brings First Relics Hotfix

[summaraize]

As expected, after yesterday’s massive Relics patch for No Man’s Sky, Hello Games has released the first hotfix for it with No Man’s Sky update 5.061.

This houses a small list of fixes, though we’re also not expecting every issue to be tackled by just one patch, given more issues crop up as players encounter them. It seems this patch is live on PS5 and PC, The Xbox and even the PS4 versions still don’t have the patch out, though that should change today.

No Man’s Sky Update 5.061 for Relics Patch 1 Now Live

Here’s what’s new per Hello Games:

Bug Fixes

  • Fix an animation issue with pet accessories for the living fossil companion.
  • Fix an issue that caused explosive damage to have no effect.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented NPC ships from landing.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when base building.
  • Fixed a multiplayer crash on PS5.

Expect more patches to be released in the coming days and weeks to address any issues that arises.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders Starts April 2 According to Retailer

While Nintendo hasn’t given us a release date or any technical info regarding the Nintendo Switch 2, we at least know when pre-orders will start, and it’s soon.

At leas that’s according to Best Buy Canada, who announced it today ahead of any Nintendo announcement.

Best Buy Canada Says Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders Will Kick Off on April 2

According to the Best Buy Canada website, “Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will open on April 2nd at Best Buy Canada, giving you the chance to secure your console early.”

Here’s a screenshot of it in case Best Buy pulls it:

There is a chance that Best Buy mistaken the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct show for the pre-order date, but seeing as it mentions it on the same page, we doubt that. It seems Nintendo plans to open the pre-order floodgates once the show ends on the same day, which is something we’ve seen happen with games and consoles before.

Speaking of which, the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 will air on April 2 (next week!), which we’re hoping gives us the tech specs, launch lineup, price and the release date.

If you’re looking forward to that,  it’ll air on April 2 at 6 am PST/9 am ET/9 pm HKT/10 pm JST and be broadcast on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.

While there are no games officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2, a retailer leak mentions a new 3D Super Mario and a Zelda Remake is headed to the console.

Are you ready to try and be disappointed that you won’t be able to get a Nintendo Switch 2? I know I am.
