Gameplay

Made the following changes:

  • Added Low Driven Shot Playstyle and PlayStyle+.

  • This Playstyle affects shots taken with a short press of the shooting input and it has the following effects on those shots:

  • Significantly shot increased accuracy.

  • Moderately increased ball travel speed.

  • Moderately increased how quickly players can perform the requested shot.

  • The Low Driven Shot PlayStyle+ has the same effects as above, but they’re tuned to be more effective.

  • Significantly increased the accuracy of clearance headers.

  • The CPU AI is now more likely to take more shots and from further distance if the opportunity to do so arises.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Sometimes, CPU AI shots could have been less accurate than intended in situations where the shot taker wasn’t being pressed.

  • This issue was more prominent on Professional and World Class difficulties.

  • In some specific situations, AI defenders did not press the ball carrier as intended.

  • This mainly occurred during potential offside scenarios, with the AI defender over prioritizing the offside line instead of attempting to press an offensive threat.

  • Sometimes, incorrect goalkeeper save animations could have occurred when the keeper was trying to save tight angle near post shots.

-Improved situations where AI defenders were sometimes not positioning themselves as intended during heading scenarios.

  • In rare cases, a Skill Move animation may not have occurred as responsively as intended.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

  • Entering Rush training in Learn to Play could have caused Squad Battles to launch in an incorrect state.

  • In some situations, the FC Points tab in the Store could have been slow to navigate.

  • When trying to search for a Player Item from Evolutions, the search button conflicted with EA connect.

  • Addressed instances of stability issues that could have occurred when selecting players in Rush, entering matches, and scoring goals in Squad Battles.

Clubs

Addressed the following issues:

  • A stability issue could have occurred at half time.

  • In certain situations, players could have disappeared during gameplay.

  • Some AI Role Familiarities did not function as intended in Drop-In matches.

Career Mode

Made the following change:

  • Updated the Central Hub UI:

  • Reduced the size of the task list.

  • Added Upcoming fixtures and Standings to the screen.

Addressed the following issues:

  • A stability issue could have occurred after starting a new season.

  • When negotiating the transfer fee for a player while managing a Premier League club, the currently selected number on the offer screen would be invisible.

  • When viewing a player on the Global Transfer Network, Playstyle+ traits for scouted players would show last.

  • Sometimes, incorrect teams could appear in UWCL matches.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

  • Added the new Classic XI and to Kick Off and Online Friendlies.

  • Added Canada’s Women’s National Team to Kick Off, Online Friendlies, and Online Seasons.

  • AI sliders did not always correctly display in the match pause menu, this was a visual issue only.

  • Addressed instances of incorrect text appearing and UI clashes.

  • Addressed instances of stability issues that could have occurred.

Fortnite Update 4.59 Brings Shohei Otano and More

[summaraize]

Fortnite patch 34.10 is here for update 4.59. One of the coolest new additions to the game is that gamers can play soccer in Lego Fortnite. MLB fans will also be happy to see that Shohei Ohtani is playable in the game too.

Check out the official patch notes down below.

Shohei Otani Gets the Fortnite Treatment in Patch 4.49

Shohei Ohtani Plays Fastball in the Fortnite Icon Series!

Batter up!

Just in time for the beginning of the MLB season, Shohei Ohtani is giving this whole Fortnite thing a swing as he joins the Icon Series. Take “#17” aboard your Locker when his Outfits and accessories enter the Shop at 8 PM ET on March… 17! Think you’re ready for the big leagues? Compete in the Shohei Ohtani Cup on March 15 for an opportunity to unlock one of his Outfits early ⚾

Open the Record Book with Shohei Ohtani Quests!

To celebrate Shohei’s Icon Series debut, the Week 4 Quests in Battle Royale will be all about baseball and Shohei’s historic 50/50 season! These Quests will drop March 18 Eastern Time and last until Chapter 6 Season 2 ends:

  • Finish 3 matches in the Top 17.
  • Eliminate 3 players beyond 50 meters.
  • Throw 17 items.
  • Deal 54 damage to opponents with The Kneecapper.
  • Travel 59 units of distance while sliding continuously.

Each of these Quests award XP, helping you level up in the Battle Pass and any other Pass you may own! Get ready to step up to the plate in Week 4.

Shohei Slides into the Shop

The bases are loaded, and so is your next Locker preset! Donning the Dodgers uniform, the Shohei Ohtani Outfit has three Styles: white for home, grey for away, and a LEGO Style for LEGO Fortnite.

It’s good to have a good boy by your side whether you’re home or away, which is why there’s also the Decoy Back Bling — a bobblehead based on Shohei’s dog Decoy! If you don’t think it gets more classic baseball than bobbleheads, the Trusty Two-Way Pickaxe based on a pitching machine will hit different.

Shohei Slices into the Shop

In the wind-up to the Tokyo Series, Shohei steals the show with a high heat samurai suit. Equip the reactive Samurai Shohei Outfit and watch the pitching arm become fiery after you get elims in a match! Or, go past the outfield wall into a LEGO experience and use Samurai Shohei’s LEGO Style.

Speaking of fiery, there are two ways to make a baseball screamin’ hot: throwing it really fast (like physically impossible fast) and eliminating people in Fortnite. The reactive Samurai Screamer Back Bling will turn fiery after you get eliminations in a match! Also in the Shop, pick up the Baseball Batana Pickaxe and farm for mats like you’re uppin’ your batting average.

Emotes for the Seventh-Inning Stretch

Whether in the heat of a Battle Royale match or halfway through your Festival performance, ya gotta take a break! With the Doggy Dingers Emote, show off your form as a Decoy bobblehead throws you balls to hit. And with the Hey Batter Batter Emote, make positive energy appear with Shohei’s “magic wand” routine!

The Shohei Ohtani Outfit, Decoy Back Bling, Trusty Two-Way Pickaxe, Samurai Shohei Outfit, Samurai Screamer Back Bling, Baseball Batana Pickaxe, Doggy Dingers Emote, and Hey Batter Batter Emote will be available in the Shop individually or in the Shohei Ohtani Bundle. Aim for the clouds after adding these items to your collection.

LEGO® Fortnite Updates – What to Expect in March 2025!

The world of LEGO® Fortnite expands with new updates for both Brick Life and Odyssey this March! Hit the pitch as soccer comes to Brick Life on March 11, and keep up the fight against the Storm King as improvements come to Odyssey on March 25.

Without further ado, let’s dig in… but wait a minute, what did our shovel just hit? The Rebel Oro Outfit and more rewards await in the Goldrush Gallery LEGO Pass arriving March 11!

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life Updates – March 11

Get off the Sidelines in Soccer!

Go for the goal and slide into soccer, or commonly called “football” around the world! At the soccer field across from Bobom Milk Tea, score more goals than other players in a 90 second time limit. The winning player gets 1,000 Creds and a trophy for their home!

Soccer is not a “daily activity” like Litter Boxing or Vampire Experiment, so you can win the full rewards no matter what time of day it is.

React to Homes!

See a kickin’ brick pad and wanna give kudos? Interact with a home’s mailbox and leave reactions! Whether it’s a house made entirely of toilets that makes you laugh or a maxed-out mansion that leaves you in awe, reactions let you have an influence on your favorite homes.

Reactions are visible from afar too, so you’ll be able to see Brick Bay’s most conversation-starting homes without needing to interact with their mailbox. Earn 50 Creds every time you react to a home for the first time! (Remember to be a good guest — don’t just react and dash!)

Can’t Carry It? Get Mailed It!

Got the Undisputed Gloves from Litter Boxing, but don’t have room in your inventory? You don’t have to go home feline sad! Items you earn or buy will be instantly sent to your mailbox if your inventory is full.

If you weren’t planning to stop back at your house, you can also use public mailboxes to get your stuff!

Keep checking your mail to see other things that may be waiting for you ✉

45-Degree Decoratin’

Not everyone likes to decorate by the book. When placing decorations in your home, you can now place them at 45-degree angles like in Odyssey. Add a new twist to your interior design!

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Updates – March 25

Now let’s talk about the Odyssey improvements coming later in March!

Do Your World a Favor with the Recycler!

With the new Recycler Station, recycle crafted items to gain a portion of the used materials back. This means you can break down old Charms and weapons into resources you can reuse. Unlock the Recycler recipe by building or using a Stone Breaker starting March 25.

Wall Mount Changes

Starting March 25, you’ll be able to put non-holdable items on Wall Mounts, like resources and Charms. Use these as labels for the chests you put below them!

And if your Wall Mounts are hanging things that can turn on or off — like the Illuminator or a Lightsaber — you’ll be able to turn them on or off on the Wall Mount.

For easier access, the Wall Mount will move to the Utility section of the Build menu.

Sprint Attack

Be a force with the new sprint attack! Sprint to close the gap on enemies, delivering a powerful strike when you catch up.

Jump Attack Changes

The jump attack will have clearer visuals so it’s easier to see when you hit an enemy. Also, the issue that prevents the attack from doing damage when it looks like it should have done damage will be fixed.

Sprint Jump

Leap into the adventure like never before with the sprint jump. This new jump adds an extra spring to your step and makes exploring your Odyssey world even smoother!

Advanced Weapons Journal

The new Advanced Weapons Journal will help remind you which weapons you can craft! Activate the journal in two ways:

  • Try refining your raw materials to stone slabs, metal bars, cut crystals, etc.
  • Interact with Stations like a Gem Cutter or Metal Smelter and start crafting a weapon of the same rarity as the refined materials you previously crafted.

Next-Level Small Talk

Villagers might have some things to say to you, without you needing to talk to them first! If they do, you’ll see a little bubble above their head with a comment.

Safety from the Storm (and… Rocks)

When you run out of time in the Storm, you’ll be teleported into the sky at a safe distance. This is to help prevent an issue that makes players sometimes get stuck in rocks and other things!

Thunderclap Blade Updates

Landing hits with the Thunderclap Blade will charge up the projectile attack, making it simpler to get this attack ready. The spin animation before the projectile launches will be removed so it’s easier to land attacks on distant enemies!

Also, the more you charge up, the more damage you’ll do with both the normal and projectile attack.

A Raise in Shield Usefulness

In skirmishes with enemies, raising your shield will be faster and more responsive!

Goldrush Gallery LEGO Pass – Get it March 11!

Revenge is best served gilded in gold, which is why the famous skeleton Oro is rising as Rebel Oro! This Outfit is in the new Goldrush Gallery LEGO Pass going live March 11.

Unlock free and premium rewards in the Goldrush Gallery LEGO Pass by earning XP in any Fortnite experience. To claim the premium rewards as you earn XP, purchase the Pass for only 1,400 V-Bucks or get it through Fortnite Crew!

You’ll automatically get the Rebel Oro Outfit after purchasing the Pass or accessing it through Fortnite Crew. Here’s a surprise: this LEGO Pass has TWO Outfits! Progress through the Pass to unlock the Carmine Rosso Outfit as another premium reward.

There’s a lot more to unlock too! For example, the Oro’s Abode Decor Bundle is perfect for anyone looking to give their bedroom a glamorous golden makeover.

If you’re an expert in metals, like gold, maybe you also appreciate the art of welding! Become a tradesperson with the Welding Essentials Decor Bundle, or for a more traditional fusion of gold and art, turn your home into a museum with the Golden Peel Gallery Decor Bundle. (Be careful — art collecting is a slippery slope!)

Struck gold, so to speak? If you’re feeling smug, celebrate your riches with the Loot Stash Emote! Misfortune struck instead? Let it be known with the Tragedy! Emote.

All the rewards mentioned above are just PART of what’s in the Pass. The Goldrush Gallery LEGO Pass will be available to progress in until May 2, 2025 Eastern Time. As a reminder, everything in a LEGO Pass may come to the Fortnite Shop at a later date.

Before we go — reminder that some fan-favorite LEGO Kits will return to the Shop on March 12 Eastern Time! Find them in the Durrr Burger BundleBeachy Boardwalk Bundle, and Mage’s Favorites Bundle all making a comeback.

Other fan favorites will return on March 19 Eastern Time.

Check out the official Fortnite website for additional info on the game.

Getting Stuck on Levels Issue Fixed in Rise of the Ronin Update 1.009

[summaraize]

Rise of the Ronin is now available on PC, and to coincide with that, Team Ninja has released a new patch for the game that applies both to the PC version and PS5. This should appear as download Rise of the Ronin update 1.009 (version 1.09 on PC), and this applies some much-needed technical fixes.

If your character is getting stuck in the game’s level due to geometry issues, this should be fixed alongside issues for visual artifacting.

Rise of the Ronin Update 1.009 Patch Notes

Rise of the Ronin Update 1.007

Here’s what’s new per Team Ninja:

  • Fixed a bug that caused the player to pass through the ground on rare occasions during assassinations while gliding.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the player to become stuck in the geometry of some stages under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug that caused background models to appear only momentarily or to be switched on some stages under certain conditions.
  • Fixed a bug that caused gaps to appear in the ground on some stages under certain conditions.
  • Fixed other minor bugs.

The last patch released on PS5 was back in October, and it ushered in PS5 Pro support. Given the release just kicked off on PC, don’t be surprised to see more patches released for both platforms.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 Release Date Leaked

[summaraize]

One of the most trusted leakers in the gaming world, billbil-kun, has shared details about the upcoming release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PlayStation 5.

After the game was rated by the ESRB, the leak suggests that the game, developed by Bethesda and MachineGames, will be released on April 17.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 Release Date and Price Leaked

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 Release Date

There will be two editions available: a standard edition for $69.99 and a premium edition for $99.99. Additionally, players who purchase the premium edition will enjoy early access and can start playing two days before the official release.

Originally, the game was announced for Spring 2025 on PlayStation 5, but a specific date was unclear until the ESRB listing confirmed the PS5 version. The game has been available on Xbox and PC since December, and with the ESRB rating now in place, fans expect an official announcement soon.

The rating’s summary isn’t anything new as it reads:

Rating Summary

This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of Indiana Jones on an adventure to uncover a mystery while defeating villains. From a first-person perspective, players explore various locations (e.g., catacombs, tombs, ruins) while solving puzzles and engaging in hand-to hand combat against enemy soldiers. Players can perform stealth attacks and whip attacks to take out enemies discreetly. Players can occasionally use rifles, machine guns, and objects (e.g., shovels, brooms) kill enemies. Combat is accompanied by impact sounds, realistic gunfire, and small blood-splatter effects. One sequence depicts a severed arm on the ground; another sequence depicts a corpse impaled on a spike trap, with small blood stains. The text in the game briefly references drugs (e.g., “I tried morphine; but the drug has given only transient surcease”; “Do not think from my slavery to morphine that I am a weakling…”). The words “a*s,” “bastard,” and “p*ss” are heard in the game.

MP1st’s review of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gave it a score of 8.5 out of 10, stating that, “Putting its flaws aside, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a fantastic adventure that delivers everything fans have come to love about the franchise.”

In other news, Shuhei Yoshida, former president of Sony Worldwide Studios, called the arrival of Xbox games on PS5 a “win” for PlayStation owners. He pointed out that PlayStation fans will now have access to games they couldn’t play before, thanks to Microsoft’s new approach.

Leaked New Battlefield Gameplay Confirms Body Dragging Feature, Squad Emblems First Look

[summaraize]

If you played Battlefield 3’s single-player campaign, you might remember being able to drag your team squadmates to safety in Operation Swordbreaker. While this feature didn’t make it into the multiplayer, it was revisited by DICE in Battlefield V, which aimed to allow players to drag downed players to a safer location before reviving them.

Ultimately, DICE decided against including it in the final version of BFV, citing the lengthy animations as having a “negatively impact” on the core gameplay.

It looks like the studio is trying this feature in the new Battlefield, as the soldier dragging feature is currently present in Battlefield Labs’ first playtest, and we have footage of it.

The New Battlefield Might Allow You to Drag Your Fallen Buddy Before Performing Reviving, and Here’s How It Looks in Pre-Alpha

It is important to note that this is pre-alpha gameplay, and as such, the animations, user interface, graphics, and more are subject to change. Got that? Good.

In the gameplay above, you can see the player dragging their mate away from gunfire to be able to revive them safely. While the concept is cool and all, I am wondering how useful this will be in matches. If you need to drag them away, that means enemies are nearby, and wouldn’t dragging them run you the risk of getting shot at? Instead of dragging them away, let them respawn instead? If there are no enemies, you’ll just revive them like you normally would.

I’m not part of the playtest, so I can’t vouch on how useful this is. That said, maybe DICE is testing it now to decide whether it’s worth putting in the game or not? This is a test after all, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see features and mechanics change from the test to the game’s release.

The New Battlefield Will Feature Squad Emblems

Another new thing that’s part of the in-development Battlefield are emblems for squads. While almost every Battlefield game allowed you to pick emblems for your character (as part of your playercard), the in-game squads were usually named as part of the NATO phonetic alphabet. In the new Battlefield, that’ll be different, as the squads in the image above are named “Stinger,” “Saber” or something else.

Not only do they sound more badass, but we even get new emblems for each. Unless I’m mistaken, that’s another new feature being added into this Battlefiield game. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s part of the progression and mastery as well, and I’m all for it.

What do you think of the body-dragging mechanic shown so far? Is there a scenario it’ll be useful in-game? If so, share your thoughts down below on how it might work.

Gamer Tries to Sell PS4 Pro to GameStop, But Things Don’t Go According to Plan

[summaraize]

A used item is sometimes a way for people to get the video games they need at a good price, but it doesn’t always save as much as expected.

In one case, a player tried to sell his PS4 Pro to GameStop USA and found out that not only would he not save any money, but he would actually have to pay the store.

Gamer Tries to Sell PS4 Pro to GameStop, Ends Up Being Asked to Pay the Store

PS4 Pro GameStop

The user, named SolmisateSol on ResetEra, explained that he wanted to sell his PS4 Pro to GameStop USA in order to make some extra dollars. However, he did not want to include the DualShock 4 controller he was still using, nor the HDMI cable, and he also didn’t have the USB cable to charge the controller.

The result of these missing items was that the price GameStop offered for the console was reduced, even to the point where it went negative. In addition, because he was not a member of the “pro” service at GameStop USA, the player would not only receive no money for the sale but would have to pay the store around 5 dollars. Basically, he would be giving away the hardware and paying for it.

He also looked into selling an Xbox One, but in that case, he would have to pay GameStop 20 dollars to take the console.

It’s probably not hard to guess that the user did not sell the consoles. He also mentioned that the employee was very kind and surprised by the situation. Still, this was the reality. Of course, old consoles don’t hold much value anymore, but asking the customer to pay is clearly a bit too much.

In other news, Former PlayStation CEO Shawn Layden believes the PS6 won’t be completely discless, despite the PS5 Pro’s digital-only version.

TCL QM7K Announced, Bringing Massive Upgrades to One of 2024’s Best Televisions

[summaraize]

TCL is making one of the best televisions for 2024, the TCL QM7, even better, as they’ve announced its successor, the TCL QM7K!

Promising better brightness, HDR, more frames, and a variety of other improvements, as well as new features, such as precise dimming and Halo Control System, the TCL QM7K could very well be one of 2025’s best televisions.

TCL Pushing for Even More Performance and Better Picture for Gamers

TV lovers and gamers who have been eyeing up TCL’s latest Quantum Dot Mini-LED televisions may finally have a reason to pull the trigger on one. Their newest Mini-LED, the TCL QM7K, is introducing some massive improvements over its predecessor. Just how massive? Well, for one, the local dimming and HDR peak brightness have been cranked up, bringing an even brighter and more colored-filled screen.

However, the set is bringing new technology with it. As seen in last month’s release of the TCL QM6K, the Halo Control System will also be available in the TCL QM7K. This gives you enhanced color and grayscale accuracy, with almost no blooming, for a far more natural picture.

“Our first Precise Dimming Series with the new Halo Control System, the QM6K, stunned reviewers with its amazing leap in picture accuracy,” said Scott Ramirez, VP, Product Marketing and Development, Home Theater. “With the new QM7K Series, we continue that extraordinary picture accuracy but then add a demonstrable step above in HDR Impact. Plus, with the new premium Audio by Bang & Olufsen, we complement the picture with noticeably more accurate home theater sound. The TCL QM7K series is available in a wide variety of screen sizes to suit any home environment but now includes the XXL 115” for those ready to build a truly impressive home theater.”

On top of this, new tech now allows SDR content to be displayed at near HDR level of coloring and brightness, which ultimately means a much more gorgeous picture for non-HDR content.

A full breakdown of improvements and new features for the TCL QM7K is available below.

  • Halo Control System
    • NEW LED Chip
    • NEW Super Condensed Micro Lens
    • Micro OD
    • 23-bit Backlight Controller
    • Zero-Delay Transient Response
    • Dynamic Light Algorithm (DLA)
    • High Contrast HVA Panel,
    • Enhanced QLED & NEW Color Optimization Algorithm
    • Up to LD2800 Precise Dimming
    • Up to HDR3000 Brightness
  • NEW Crystglow HVA Panel (anti-reflective)
  • TCL AiPQ Pro Processor
  • 144Hz Native Panel Refresh Rate
  • Game Accelerator 288, for up to blistering fast 288 VRR (previously 240 VRR)
  • NEW Filmmaker Mode
  • Dolby Vision IQ & HDR10+, HDR10
  • IMAX Enhanced & AMD FreeSync PP Certifications
  • NEW Premium Audio by Bang & Olufsen (2.2)
  • Dolby Atmos & DTS Virtual:X
  • New Backlit Remote
  • Hands-Free Voice Control (Far Field)
  • NEW Art Mode & Art Gallery
  • Google TV
  • NEW Thinner Bezel-less Design with Pedestal Stand (65”- 85”)

More details on the updated and new features:

  • NEW LED Chip & Super Condensed Micro Lens – The new system’s Super High Energy LED Chip combines high brightness with increased light efficiency while a Super Condensed Micro Lens uses a narrower light path for more precise light control.
  • Micro OD – The new TCL Micro OD further reduces optical distance between the backlight and diffuser plate for virtually no blooming or halo effect and avoids LED light overlap to produce clear, sharp edges between bright whites and dark blacks.
  • 23-Bit Backlight Controller – TCL’s bidirectional 23-bit precision backlight technology and 23-bit hybrid light control capability provides high-level precise light control for a stunning picture.
  • Zero-Delay Transient Response – Critical to achieve premium picture quality, processing also gets an upgrade in the TCL QM7K with Zero-Delay Transient Response for virtually no lag between the input signal and backlight response, preventing after-image blur and maximizing specular highlights.
  • Dynamic Light Algorithm (DLA) – The system includes a Dynamic Light Algorithm that intelligently optimizes the incoming video to render SDR signals at near HDR level, for consistently pristine picture quality regardless of the content metadata.
  • High Contrast HVA Panel – TCL’s enhanced QD-Mini LED backlight technology works in conjunction with a high contrast CSOT HVA Panel to block out more of the light when the LCD closes for better dark state, providing up to 5X native contrast than competitors.
  • Enhanced QLED & NEW Color Optimization Algorithm – The QM7K includes upgraded QLED technology and a new Color Optimization Algorithm with more vibrant Quantum Crystals renders up to 97%+ of DCI-P3 color gamut for significantly improved color accuracy.
  •

The TCL QM7K is available starting today in 55-85 inch (55” for $1,299.99 MSRP, 65” for $1,499.99 MSRP, 75” for $1,999.99 MSRP, 85” for $2,499.99 MSRP) with the 98” ($3,999.99 MSRP) and 115” ($19,999.99 MSRP) arriving soon. For a limited time, TCL is offering a $500 Visa Gift Card for anyone who buys a QM7K via the TCL website.

Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.000.050 Removes Falling Rocks Exploit

[summaraize]

Capcom has released the latest download patch for Monster Hunter Wilds, which should appear as version 1.000.050 for players. This removes the falling rocks exploit (sorry, hunters!), as well as implements various fixes related to stability, and even fixes the quest blocker for Chapter 5-1 “Omens.”

Monster Hunter Wilds update 1.000.050 clocks in at 916MB (on PS5), and it’s also a small download on other platforms too. For the complete list of changes, check out the patch notes below.

Monster Hunter Wilds New Update 1.000.050 Fixes Chapter 5-1 Progression Issue and More

Here’s what got fixed per Capcom (new items added):

  • The “Grill a Meal” and “Ingredient Center” features cannot be unlocked even after meeting the progress criteria.
  • When heading to Azuz during Main Mission: Chapter 2-1 “Toward Fervent Fields,” players keep falling through the map.
  • The Monster Field Guide cannot be accessed.
  • During Main Mission: Chapter 5-2 “A World Turned Upside Down,” an NPC may not appear, preventing further progression.
  • At the Smithy, an issue may occur where tutorials are repeatedly shown, disabling certain options in the menu.
  • When guarding a monster’s attack with a lance using Power Guard under certain conditions, the weapon flashes in red but the effect is not activated
  • When using a mantle, a Weapon Equipment Skill may mistakenly be activated.
  • Some effects may be displayed continuously when using certain skills, such as Peak Performance and Self-Improvement.
  • When successfully preforming an Offset Attack with the Insect Glaive’s Descending Slash under certain conditions, the hunter freezes and becomes unresponsive to any controls.
  • Addressed issues that occurred under certain conditions with screen rendering and causing force quits.
  • The Meal Invitation feature at Azuz and Sild does not unlock on some occasions.
  • A notification or an Environment Overview Update may show that you have received a Meal Invitation when it is not available. (Some mitigation measures have been implemented.)
  • An issue occurring when using Equipment Loadout, causing decorations to be removed from equipment, Bowgun Customization being reverted to default, and Kinsects reverting to the initial rarity.
  • When cutting off monster parts, the parts change into a monster part from a different monster.
  • Gravios does not gain resistance to flinches after breaking its parts. (Gravios’s resistance has also been slightly adjusted in Ver. 1.000.05.00.)
  • An issue which may cause crashes or some monsters to act strangely under certain situations.
  • Some skills are unintentionally activated under certain conditions.
  • Some items/rewards can be obtained repeatedly under certain conditions.
  • When trying to catch a fish with a capture net, the fishes nearby do not swim away from the fishing spot.
  • Some environmental features such as floating rubbles can be activated multiple times.
  • During Main Mission: Chapter 5-2 “The Root Cause,” the hunter becomes unresponsive to some controls when talking to a certain NPC.
  • Palico’s support move “Attract Vigorwasps” may cause the hunter to become unresponsive to some controls.
  • When scrolling through the quest list, only the first 20 quests are displayed correctly.
  • An issue which may cause the game to forcefully shut down when starting a game with saved data that encountered a force quit.

The known list of issues that weren’t resolved by this patch are also available below

Some currently known issues as of March 10, 2025:

  • A network error occurs when firing an SOS flare right after a quest begins.
  • Link Members are not prioritized over other players and may not appear in some places including Base Camps.
  • Palico’s attacks with blunt weapons do not inflict stun and exhaust damages.
  • Hunter Profile cannot be edited properly on some occasions.
  • Some side missions cannot be completed under certain situations.

The first major patch, which will bring a new monster and other activities, will be released in early April, though I gather, we’ll be hearing more about it later this month.

Rumor: Next Xbox Could Be a PC-Like Device for Your TV

[summaraize]

During the latest episode of The Xbox Two podcast, well-known Windows Central journalist Jez Corden shared his thoughts based on what he has heard about the upcoming Xbox. According to him, the next Xbox will be something like a PC that can be connected to your TV, making it quite different from a regular console.

Corden’s statement, which should be taken as just a rumor, comes from a person who likely has connections with Microsoft. He made this comment in response to another recent rumor about next year’s Call of Duty game.

No Devkits for the Next Xbox Yet?

next xbox pc

You might remember that a few days ago, a leaker claimed that the 2026 Call of Duty would be developed using the next Xbox devkits, possibly releasing in 2026.

Jez Corden does not seem to believe that Call of Duty for 2026 is already being worked on using the next Xbox devkits, mainly because, according to him, these devkits do not exist yet. Microsoft is apparently facing a shift in how gaming hardware is managed.

Corden stated, “There are no devkits right now. So like the idea that developers have already gotten the next-gen Xbox dev kit… that’s just not accurate,” around 1:11:00 in the podcast video. He explained that the new Xbox will be a major change from the current consoles.

Corden explained, “The idea is that the next Xbox is gonna be a PC in essence but with a TV friendly shell that also has a specific set of specs in mind.” This design would make it easier for developers to work on games, as they would not need to make many changes to the PC version of the games.

He further added, “Developers will be building for Windows PC in a way but in such a way that they know exactly what the specs will be.”

So, while the Call of Duty rumor might hold some truth, Corden believes that if it is accurate, the discussion around devkits is more about the technical specifications developers are being told to aim for, rather than a physical devkit actually being available yet.

Xbox Gamers Getting Banned for Using VPN on Official Store

[summaraize]

According to reports shared online, it seems that some Xbox users have been banned by Microsoft for purchasing games from foreign stores using VPNs. This practice was seen as a way to take advantage of lower prices, which goes against the rules set out in Microsoft’s terms of use.

The situation remains a topic of debate, and it is hard to define exactly where the line is between what is considered a violation and what Microsoft may accept. Buying from foreign stores has always been a bit unclear legally, but now Microsoft is making its rules stricter on this matter.

Xbox Users Claim Bans for Buying Games From Foreign Stores

For years, using these systems was somewhat tolerated, but it appears that recently, Microsoft has started to enforce stricter controls on the misuse of its store. However, the number of affected cases still seems to be limited.

A specific case was recently reported on the Xbox-Now website. Some users claimed they were banned from Xbox for buying games from Xbox Store divisions in other countries and activating them through VPNs to trick the system about their actual location.

The message received from Microsoft described this as a “fraudulent acquisition or use of Xbox content” made by “exploiting the differences in pricing between regions or countries that are not the region or country of the account.” Interestingly, the user who received the ban was later reinstated, on trust, so to speak.

This issue is not easy to solve. In some cases, companies might raise prices in certain regions to avoid users taking advantage of price differences, aligning them with larger markets. Sony has recently taken a similar approach, but this penalizes users in those regions with higher prices. On the other hand, there is no explicit rule in Xbox’s terms of service that bans the use of VPNs to unlock content purchased from foreign stores. Therefore, it is not technically a violation of the TOS.

For those who don’t know what a VPN is, it’s shorthand for Virtual Private Network. It lets users connect to the Internet from different locations, hiding their actual location and allowing them to access content from other countries.

Regardless, this practice is clearly not fully legitimate, and using it now seems to carry more risks than it did in the past.

Split Fiction Manages to Break Steam Record for EA

[summaraize]

Split Fiction launched earlier this week, and though EA or Hazelight Studios has yet to announce any sales, we think it’s safe to say that it’s a pretty big success. From being the first EA title in 13 years to achieve a 90+ average on Metacritic, to smashing the publisher’s previous Steam record for most concurrent players for a premium game.

Split Fiction Is a Resounding Success on Steam

Earlier today, Split Fiction broke a record for EA in terms of concurrent players, surpassing the 250k (via SteamDB) mark and making it the publisher’s biggest launch title on Steam thus far. The previous record holder for EA for a premium (non-free-to-play) title was 2018’s Battlefield V, which saw an all-time concurrent player count of 116k. It is an impressive feat, especially since the game isn’t free-to-play or some massive online multiplayer.

For reference, EA’s most concurrently played title on Steam is Apex Legend, which had 624,473 concurrent players at one point. The title is free-to-play, though.

However, one thing to note is that these concurrent players aren’t entirely due to purchased copies. While the metric isn’t a great one to grasp how many copies a game sold, it tells us how popular a game is and gives us a pretty fair idea that it’s selling well. But in the case of Split Fiction, and like previous Hazelight games, you only need a single copy of the game to play it, as you can invite another via friends pass.

Because of that, it is a bit harder to determine sales data and such. But even so, if we were to say unrealistically that half of those 254,756 concurrent players were playing via friends pass, meaning only 127,378 bought the game and then shared it with someone else, that still means that Split Fiction managed to break records for EA, as Battlefield V only managed to muster up 116,000 concurrent players. No matter how you look at it, that’s very impressive, and we’re glad to see a narrative-driven cooperative game like Split Fiction is getting the attention it deserves.

Split Fiction is now available worldwide for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
