WWE 2K25 Latest Update 1.023 Adds The Island Chapter 4

Visual Concepts has released the latest WWE 2K25 update, which gamers will see as version 1.023. This adds Chapter 4 to The Island, which means new rewards are available.

Chief among the new unlockables added include Roman Reigns ’19 and King Corbin. Aside from The Island, there is no new content released,  which isn’t surprising given we just got the Fearless DLC Pack last month.

Aside from the patch notes listed above by Visual Concepts, here’s a look at the new unlockables from the new patch:

The next major update is set to hit in September when the Attitude Era Superstars Pack is released. The premium DLC will include the following wrestlers:

  • D’Lo Brown
  • Billy Gunn
  • Road Dogg
  • Victoria
  • Mark Henry

Alongside that, expect a slew of bug fixes and other gameplay improvements to be included in the mandatory patch. Once that’s out of the way, expect the next pack to be released in November, which marks the end of the game’s roadmap.

PS5 Console Price Increase Set for Tomorrow in the US, and It’s Due to a “Challenging Economic Environment”

Sony has announced something we’ve been expecting all along, and that’s increase the price of the PS5 console. This increase applies to all PlayStation 5 console variants.

The price increase in the US will take effect tomorrow, August 21, which means if you’re on the fence on picking one up, best to do it today.

The new PS5 console retail prices are as follows:

  • PlayStation 5 – $549.99
  • PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – $499.99
  • PlayStation 5 Pro – $749.99

Long story short: PS5 consoles are getting a $50 increase across the board, which should translate worldwide as well.

Sony states that it is raising the price as it “continue to navigate a challenging economic environment.” Thankfully, accessories won’t be affected — at least for now.

Don’t be surprised to see game prices increase too, as Nintendo has introduced this new pricing scheme with Mario Kart World, and it’s only a matter of time until other companies follow suit. If there’s a third-party game to look out for that might get priced higher, it should be Grand Theft Auto 6. You can bet all eyes will be on publisher Take-Two to see what price it sets for its monster game that should sell  even if it costs $100.

In other PS5 news, we recently saw evidence that suggests Gears of War: E-Day and State of Decay 3 are headed to the PS5.

Rematch Update on Aug. 20 for Second Major Patch Brings It to Version 1.200.201

The second major update for arcade sports game Rematch is now live, and this brings a number of major netcode-related fixes. Players will see this appear as Rematch update version 1.200.201, and some of the items resolved include tackles not registering, GK dive rollbacks causing goals to be scored and more.

Alongside gameplay fixes related to netcode, there are also improvements made to the menus/UI, audio and other technical aspects.

While this patch aims to resolve a good number of issues, there are still a sizable amount of issues that have yet to be resolved, which means another update tackling this will be rolled out at a later time.

  • Tackle improvements

    • Improved network resolution and rollback on tackles

    • Fixed an issue where sometimes a player preparing a shot cannot be tackled

  • Fixed achievements unlocking (should affect Post to Post, Pro, Expert): if you already meet the requirements for one of these achievements, you will need to perform one more related action to unlock the achievement.

  • Goalkeeper improvements

    • Fixed an issue where the GK catch/deflect seemed to play correctly, but was subject to rollback immediately after

    • Fixed a similar but different issue where a goal could be validated and scored even if the goalkeeper had caught or deflected the ball, causing a rollback

    • Fixed an issue where the goalkeeper would sometimes play the catch animation when diving close to another player

    • Invulnerable goalkeepers can no longer be tackled when doing an action moving them outside of the keeper area

  • Added procedural animations so that GKs will now visibly move their arms to catch balls

  • Reworked Ball Touch, to prevent the ball from appearing too far away from the player in possession.

    • Ball Touch is the visual system that animates the ball when in possession. This allows ball possession to be more clear but doesn’t impact gameplay, since in possession, the ball doesn’t have a hurtbox.

  • Fixed incorrect ball position during Ball control, where the ball warped back and forth in a weird way during certain Ball Controls.

  • Reduced Shake cam intensity on ball steal success

  • Fixed an issue where Defense Mode deflects could be denied/ignored by the server

  • Fixed an issue where the Defense Mode deflect animation would cancel itself prematurely when moving

  • Fixed static ball not being controllable

  • Multiple animation improvements and fixes.

There’s also a long list of known issues, which we gather will be sorted in a future update, though don’t expect it to be fixed in one go.

Valorant New Update 1.000.046 Drops for Ver. 11.04; Adds Abyss Map and Agent Adjustments

Riot Games has released the latest update for Valorant, and this one brings a fan-favorite map back, as well as makes some much-needed agent adjustments. Console gamers will see this pop as Valorant update 1.000.046, with the devs tagging this as patch version 11.04.

The Abyss map is back, as Icebox is rotated out. When it comes to balance changes, Chamber and Sage are getting adjusted.

We’re giving a little bit more strategic & positional flexibility for Chamber as his trap hasn’t felt like it warrants a range restriction in modern VALORANT. This went live accidentally in patch 11.02 and we didn’t want to revert a buff that was planned for 11.04 anyways.
  • Sage
    • We’re leaning into Sage’s identity as a Controller-leaning Sentinel hybrid by allowing her to control space from further safety.
    • Barrier Orb: Sage wall cast range has increased from 10m >>> 15m
    • Resurrection: Sage resurrection range has increased from 6m >>> 12m

    • Visual effects around Hunter Fury’s have been adjusted to resolve more quickly and take up less gameplay space

GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS UPDATES

  • Pings that are placed on the minimap have had their audio adjusted to be less harsh.
  • AOE Ultimate indicator colors on the minimap have been updated to reflect if they were cast by an ally or enemy.
    • All ally zones will now appear a consistent teal and enemy zones should now be consistently yellow. Ability icons will now only appear in the minimap zone if the ultimate is destructible.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announced; Gameplay Shows Arkham Style Combat

LEGO Batman is back, though in a surprisingly new way, as the cape crusader returns to relive some of his most iconic movie and comic moments in a new adventure, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

The best part of it all, though, has to be the gameplay, which seems to be taking heavy inspiration from Rocksteady’s Arkham series.

Nobody Cared Who I Was Until I Stepped on the LEGO

Keaton, Bale, and Pattinson, Batman’s all rolled into a single game, along with all their villains? Yeah, sign me up for this one. Not only that, but combat and open-world traversal are clearly inspired by Rocksteady’s Arkham franchise. Who knew free-flow combat would look so damn good in a LEGO game? Consider me hyped!

Silent Hill f New Story Trailer Reveals English Voice Acting

We’re just one month away from the launch of Silent Hill f, the next terrifying chapter in the Silent Hill franchise. While we’ve seen plenty of gameplay and story trailers, this new one is a bit more special because, for the first time, we get to hear the English cast.

Yep, Silent Hill f will be fully dubbed in English for who want it.

Step Into the Fog

Hinako Shimizu, the main protagonist, will be voiced by Suzie Yeung (English VO), who you may recognize as Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Makima in Chainsaw Man, Fuuka in Persona 3 Reload, and Eula in Genshin Impact. A fantastic choice, and I cannot wait to see how she brings Shimizu to life.

Silent Hill f launches on September 25, 2025, on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Windows, Epic Games Store, and Steam). Pre-orders are now available, with different editions and pre-order bonuses.

Delta Force Devs Announce New Horror PvEvP Shooter “Project Spectrum”

If you thought Team Jade releasing the console version of Delta Force today was the only exciting news they had for gamescom 2025, think again, as the studio just unveiled their newest title, Project Spectrum.

Fans of asymmetrical PvPvE will want to keep an eye on this one, since this might be another multiplayer game to add to your lineup.

Team Jade’s Next Flagship Title Looks Incredible

Project Spectrum is being pegged as a free-to-play, asymmetric-PvPvE thriller tactical shooter, developed on Unreal Engine 5 for PC. Players will be able to manage and customize their agents so that they can prepare for the dangers and monstrosities that lurk within the world of Project Spectrum, all while fending off against other Agents.

“We are incredibly excited to show Project Spectrum to players worldwide, as we have been working in secret for two years,” says Basil Wang, Game Director of Project Spectrum. “With this game, we wanted to create something truly unique: a meticulously crafted and uniquely styled shooter at its core, while presenting a dangerous yet captivating world — one where players embark on an unpredictable survival adventure. As they explore, they’ll encounter unexpected threats and may even become the danger themselves. Our journey has just begun, and we can’t wait to share more in the future.”

For now, the title is being developed exclusively for PC and does not have a target release date.

Multiplayer Is Coming to Ghost of Yotei With New Legends DLC; Arrives 2026

Ghost of Yotei is launching in a few short months. Though its single-player experience will no doubt be the main draw, fans of the original online cooperative Legends mode from Ghost of Tsushima will be happy to learn that it’s returning!

That’s right, Ghost of Yotei Legends DLC has just been announced, and it’s arriving next year.

Play For the Story, Stay for the Super Natural Cooperative Online Experience

As revealed during today’s Opening Night Live for Gamescom 2025, Sucker Punch Productions has debuted a brand-new story trailer for Ghost of Yotei, dubbed “Song of Vengeance.” It showcases plenty of new gameplay, along with some rather dramatic story sequences.

However, what came as a rather surprise was the reveal towards the end of the trailer that confirmed Ghost of Yōtei Legends, an online coop DLC that is scheduled to arrive in 2026. No details on the DLC other than that it’ll be free to owners of Ghost of Yotei Legends when it releases next year.

Based on the teaser and the fact that it’s a follow-up to the previous Legends mode, we’re expecting even more supernatural elements. Hopefully, we’ll see voice actor Greg Baldwin (Avatar, Samurai Jack, Kung Fu Panda) make a return to narrate the story.

Resident Evil Requiem’s New Gameplay Clip Looks Insane With Seamless Transitions

At gamecom Opening Night Live, Capcom brought a fresh new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem (RE9), and this one gives us our first look at gameplay. While there’s not a lot of it, what’s shown was very, very impressive.

The transition from cinematics to gameplay must be seen to be believed. Don’t believe us? Watch the trailer for yourself.

Resident Evil Requiem Visuals Are Looking Spectacular

The trailer is brutal and gives us a peek at Grace Ashcroft’s dark past. In the press release sent by Capcom, it gives a synopsis of the horror game, stating, “Set 30 years after the outbreak in Raccoon City, Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace on a new case where the young FBI analyst must return to the scene and face her tragic memories. This new era of survival horror is creeping to PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on February 27, 2026.”

Resident Evil Requiem is playable on the gamescom show floor, and we’ll try and give it a go, and report our hands-on impressions here.

Will we get to see Leon? Capcom might be throwing us off-scent, as the developers said Leon is a “bad match for horror,” though we’re still holding out hope.

Resident Evil Requiem is sert for release on Feb. 27, 2026, on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui Announced as a Single-Player Action-RPG

While we uneartthed the trademark for a new Black Myth game earlier today, Game Science just confirmed it with the announcement of “Black Myth: Zhong Kui,” which is a new entry in the series.

It’ll be a single-player action-RPG, and is the second entry in the Black Myth series by the studio, There’s an announcement trailer, though it doesn’t show gameplay.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui Is Real and It’s the Latest Entry in the Series

Details are scarce, but here’s what Game Science has to say about this new project:

No ghosts walked the earth till born of human heart;
Onstage and off, immortals fall to fiends—their perfected art.
Indoors and out, the judge is bound by the same household ties;
The sun is veiled, the moon unmoved—who decrees who lives and who dies?
I turn from worldly tangles and their codes, from glories smeared with sleight.
I raise my sword—I raise it to fight;
With it, I shall judge wrong and right!

The developers say the game draws primary creative inspiration from the famed Chinese folk figure “Zhong Kui.” No gameplay footage or release date has been revealed, as the project is in early development, but we’ll be keeping our eyes on this one.

The Sims 4 Update 2.18 Adds Skin Details

Maxis has a new major update for The Sims 4 available for download today on consoles and PC, and this lets you show some skin! Well, not exactly the kind of skin you might be thinking, as the developers have added skin details!

Console gamers will see this as The Sims 4 update 2.18, and aside from skin details, this also adds a quality-of-life feature for pack selection, and a good list of bug fixes as well.

What’s New?

New Skin Details: Wrinkles, Freckles, & More

New Skin Details have been added to Base Game! For teens and older, we’ve added a selection of Rosacea, Dark Spots, Age Spots, and Eye Bags for faces, as well as Stretch Marks and Freckles for bodies. For adult Sims, we’ve also added Mouth Wrinkles and Body Wrinkles. Learn more in our upcoming Dev Diary!

New Feature: Pack Selection

Pack Selection is a new feature allowing you to customize your experience when starting a new save based on the stories you want to tell and the experiences you want to build. This helps free up resources on your PC, Mac, or consoles without needing to uninstall packs you don’t currently use. Please note that once you’ve started a save, removing packs may affect the save itself, so this feature is best utilized when creating new saves to optimize performance.

Disabling packs will remove pack-specific content like hair, clothing, objects, and gameplay functions.

DirectX 11 (DX11) Updates

We’ve improved DirectX 11 for PC users with Intel GPUs.
Intel GPU users will automatically default to the DX11 executable. Players with GPUs that are not Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD will continue to use DX9.

Performance Updates

  • In this patch, we’ve made several optimizations to enhance your gameplay experience.
    • Enhanced rendering performance for smoother visuals.
    • Improved responsiveness by optimizing how graphics are processed.
    • Fixed issues causing crashes when certain graphics settings were used.
    • Addressed shadow flickering to ensure more stable reflections in water.
    • Resolved problems with lighting to maintain consistent brightness throughout gameplay.

Enchanted by Nature Ailments Option

In Game Options, the latest expansion pack now has a Pack Settings option for “Ailment Spread”! Unchecking “Enable Ailment Spread” will contain Ailments to Sims that have contracted it, so other Sims won’t catch it. It’s like a sickness that isn’t contagious! You still can have Fairies deliberately give Ailments to other Sims, Naturopaths still will be able to treat clients who have Ailments, and becoming Very Imbalanced can result in Ailments. To play without that last consequence, just uncheck the “Enable Balance & Imbalance” checkbox. This will prevent Sims from getting an Ailment from being Very Imbalanced (because they won’t get Very Imbalanced at all).

  • All the Sneakers from our 25th Anniversary Update can now be found in the Cold Weather category.
  • Our Wide Leg Jeans from the Anniversary Update (ymBottom_SDX037Jeans & yfBottom_SDX037Jeans) can now be found under the Masculine Fashion Preference category.
  • The new Tucked Tees from the Anniversary Update are now both available in the Athletic, Sleep, and Hot Weather categories.
  • Sims with the Feminine Fashion Preference will now see the Blazer & Tee top (yfTop_SDX037BlazerTee & ymTop_SDX037BlazerTee) from the Anniversary Update in Create a Sim.
  • The Curly Shag hair from the Anniversary Update is now listed under the Wavy hair texture.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Releases Nov. 14, Campaign Co-op Confirmed and Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

The leaks were real, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will indeed feature wallrunning and super-jumps! The debut trailer featuring the campaign was revealed today at gamescom Opening Night Live, which confirms co-op, alongside details on multiplayer, Zombies and more.

If you’re interested in the shooter, the pre-order bonuses have been revealed as well, which include beta early access! Black Ops 7 has also been confirmed to be releasing on November 14, 2025, on consoles and PC.

Black Ops 7 Will Feature Wallrunning and a Fully Co-op Campaign

Black Ops 7 Co-Op Campaign:

Lords of the Fallen 2 First Look and Features Revealed

CI Games has officially revealed Lords of the Fallen 2, and it’s a standalone sequel! Not only did we get a snazzy new trailer, but the game’s features have been revealed too.

No release date has been given yet, but it is confirmed for PC and consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S).

Destiny 2 Patch 9.0.0.7 Released for Update Ver. 3.71/1.166

As expected, the moment maintenance concluded, Bungie rolled out the latest Destiny 2 patch, version 9.0.0.7. For those on consoles, you’ll see this appear as Destiny 2 update 3.71/1.166.

Chief among the fixes include Edge of Fate, Portal bug fixes, and even weapons and armors got their bugs squashed.

Activities

The Edge of Fate

  • Fixed an issue where “Kepler Gear” continued to display as a reward in the activity tooltip for Kepler weekly missions after first completion.
    • Actual rewards from the weekly missions have not changed.
    • Both weekly missions still drop a high-tier piece of Kepler gear once per week on first completion; this is unchanged.
    • The Time Latch Missions playlist is the best activity to get random higher-tier Kepler gear, or The Sieve when it’s active.
  • Fixed a rare issue where players could become blocked from progressing The Edge of Fate campaign.

The Portal

  • Fixed an issue where the opening objective in the Caldera Solo Ops activity could be partially skipped.
    • Both the Vex shield cubes and the dark matter mounds must now be destroyed to progress.

UI/UX

  • The Solo Ops playlist now allows players to Return to Orbit after completion, without forcing them to start a new activity.
  • We’ve adjusted the thresholds for when combatants and activities visually display if they are “hard” or “very hard” to better align with changes to the sandbox in The Edge of Fate and more accurately communicate difficulty to players.
    • Bumped the threshold for “hard” (sword icons) by 20 Power: Combatants will now display sword icons in their nameplates when they are 30 Power above you.
    • Bumped the threshold for “very hard” (skull icons) by 10 Power. Combatants will now display skull icons in their nameplates when they are 50 Power above you.
    • Please note, this is a purely visual change and combatant difficulty relative to player Power has not been changed at this time.

  • Reduced the number of seasonal challenges needed to claim Top Challenger and its large pile of Bright Dust to 42. This must be completed and claimed before Ash & Iron launches on September 9.

General

  • Removed audio feedback from the Solstice Lustrous armor set two-piece perk (Photogalvanic) to prevent it from playing repeatedly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Slow and Small modifier would occasionally cause audio problems.
  • Fixed an issue where shield charging sounds would occasionally get stuck while the Brawn modifier was active.

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Estimated to Have Accumulated 20 Million Players Across Consoles and PC

While we’ve seen the Battlefield 6 Open Beta crack Call of Duty’s Steam record with over 500,000 concurrent players, publisher Electronic Arts hasn’t commented on just how many people participated in the beta.

If this recent report from a multi-national financial institution is to be believed, its initial estimate of five million players were blown out of the water easily.

Battlefield 6 Open Beta Player Estimates Were Raised From 5M to 20M Due to Positive Reception

According to financial services company Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. (via Battlefield Wire), they have “significantly revised” their estimate for the Battlefield 6 Open Beta participants from five million to over 20 million players. This is based on “comprehensive data analysis of similar games and Steam concurrent metrics.”

It’s estimated that the 20 million figure is split 70-to-30 between PC and console gamers, as its noted that the first week of the beta test established “a strong baseline for player engagement.”

This has translated well for publisher EA, as it’s currently on an “Outperform” rating, and company stock is trading at an impressive 36% return over the past six months. You may recall our report from last week, which noted that EA’s stock soared to new heights following the positive reception of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, and that trend appears to have continued.

While the second week of testing for Battlefield 6 didn’t surpass the initial phase, Oppenheimer mentions that negative player feedback was primarily due to the Rush game mode, and criticism of it was not enough to undermine “the overall positive reception of Battlefield 6 among players thus far.”

With these many players, it’s a bit surprising EA hasn’t announced anything to tout how successful the beta has been. We’ve reached out to the publisher about this 20M figure, and if we hear anything back, we’ll update the article with the info.

In related news, DICE released a surprise major update for Battlefield 2042 yesterday that include a new map, and new cosmetics to earn in Battlefield 6! This translated to an increase in BF2042’s player count by over 500%, which shows the BF6 hype is real.

It’s also been reported recently that EA is targeting to annualize the Battlefield franchise, and they are aiming to do that in the next 5-6 years. Mind, with this kind of reception, the publisher might be pushing hard to do that earlier.

Civilization 7 New Update 1.2.4 Applies Wonder Balance, Gameplay Improvements via Patch 1.11/1.000.013

The latest major update for Side Meier’s Civlization 7 is now live on PC and consoles! The developers have this as version 1.24, though those on consoles will see this download appear as Civ 7 update 1.11/1.000.13.

This is a substantial download, and while it doesn’t introduce any new content, it does incorporate numerous gameplay improvements. Chief among the changes is that Wonders have been adjusted big-time.

      • Warning now appears in all Ages (not just Antiquity).
      • Clicking “Take Me There” moves you to the other player’s copy of the Wonder if possible.

Camera Improvements

    • Dev note: We heard those of you who prefer edge-panning instead of click-drag or keyboard map navigation, so we brought it back. Keep the feedback coming!
  • Reworked controller input to significantly improve the feel of camera movement and plot selection, especially when trying to navigate larger distances across the map.

Diplomacy

  • Updated Civilopedia to reflect that War Weariness effect does not stack Happiness penalty when engaging in multiple wars.
  • Independent Powers are now only able to pillage a tile within range of a Unit that has no Enemy Units and the defenses fully damaged.
  • Leaders now receive the correct amount of War Support when a surprise war is declared.

Economy

  • Brihadeeswarar Temple no longer fails to provide Happiness bonus when the player builds a Building near a Navigable River in the Modern Age.

Report: “Black Myth: Zhongkui” Trademark Unearthed Ahead of Gamescom 2025

Gamescom, one of the year’s most anticipated gaming events, is just hours away, and speculation is running high about what might be revealed. A recent trademark filing, however, might have given us a clue, and it’s tied to the famous action title Black Myth: Wukong.

The developer, Game Science, has already confirmed its presence at the event, but what it plans to show is still a mystery. Previously, the studio mentioned that DLC for the game was in development, which remains a possibility.

Original Story

However, there’s another interesting possibility. Back in 2020, Game Science registered several potential sequels for a Black Myth franchise. And now, a new trademark filed today mentions one of those titles, hinting that we may get more than just DLC. The title in question is “Black Myth: Zhongkui”, with Zhong Kui being a prominent figure in Chinese mythology. He’s often depicted as a stocky, bearded man who is known as a protector against evil spirits.

Due to the wide range of categories the trademark is subject to, it’s difficult to discern whether this will be a new game or a DLC. Some of the categories are for gaming, but others cover various items like bracelets and notebooks, which we assume would be for marketing purposes.

Last year, Game Science mentioned how they have the Black Myth series planned to be a franchise about Chinese mythology, and this certainly fits the bill.

However, the fact that it carries a different title after “Black Myth” definitely raises our suspicions. If we are indeed on the verge of an imminent announcement, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if something surfaces later today at Gamescom Opening Night Live.

NetEase Not Worried Marvel Rivals Roster Might Become Too Big

Marvel Rivals spans 85 years of Marvel, with its abundance of characters, and continues to grow every month as NetEase fulfills its promise of releasing two heroes every season.

But could there be a point where there are too many characters?

Developer NetEase doesn’t seem to think so at this point according to a statement given to us by the game’s Creative Director at the Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid-Season Tournament held in Guangzhou, China.

Could The Marvel Rivals Roster Become Too Overwhelming With Ongoing Monthly Releases?

In an interview with Marvel Rivals Creative Director, we asked that very question, since it’s also a concern of ours seeing as the hero selection wheel is slowly getting packed with characters, and we’re just in the game’s third season.

MP1st: I know that currently it’s averaging like one hero a month being added to the roster. Are you worried at all that the roster may become too big at some point to where newcomers may become overwhelmed? Or is there a plan to ever maybe retire heroes to where it’s not too large of a roster? Do you have any plans just kind of based on that?

Guangguang then answered (via translator), “Maybe, but actually we would focus more on the present situation and actually would see players having many anticipations on the upcoming new heroes to see that we could enlarge our roster. And for the current in-game environment, we also see that players’ anticipation are I believe more than the negative aspect that we could have foreseen. So in that case, we would continue to release heroes at a monthly basis for the upcoming foreseen seasons.”

While this is mostly the kind of response you would expect to hear, it’s still interesting to hear the mindset directly from the person who works directly on the game at such a high level.

Rather than focusing on the downside of adding more characters, it appears that the team at NetEase is looking at which characters people are most highly anticipating and working to bring them into the mix instead, which is rather exciting as a fan.

This interview also confirmed that the monthly releases are still the plan for the upcoming future, which makes sense with the large roster of characters to pull from, as well as the number of leaks of potential upcoming roster additions that were also addressed by NetEase who told us they were developing countermeasures against it.

In the same interview, Guangguang also confirmed to us that they were given the green light by Marvel to create their own characters for Marvel Rivals.

    • Destiny 2 and all APIs will be brought offline for expected maintenance.
    • Players will be removed from activities.
    • Destiny 1 may be impacted.
10:00 AM PDT -7 UTC
    • The latest Destiny 2 update will be available across all platforms and regions.
    • Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2.
    • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
    • The Destiny 2 API will be brought online.
    • Clan features may remain offline until maintenance is complete.
12:00 PM PDT -7 UTC
    • Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.
    • Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update.

Conan Exiles August Update 2.14 Introduces Dark Dregs and a Sizable List of Improvements

The big Conan Exiles August update is here on consoles and PC, and this brings new content to the game, as well as a chunky list of bug fixes and improvements.

If you’re on consoles, you’ll see this download appear as Conan Exiles update 2.14, and as far as we’re aware, the changelog for consoles and PC are the same. There are also console-specific fixes included in this update, which are outlined in the official patch notes below.

Conan Exiles August Update Is More Than Just Bug Fixes

NEW

Introducing the Dark Dregs! Find light in the darkness in a fresh twist on a classic dungeon experience, available for a limited time from now until September 19th. New challenges and rewards await those who brave the depths!

  • Dark Dregs replaces the original Dregs while it is active, and is accessible through the same entrance.
  • After the 19th, it will join Bounty Hunting and The Sacred Hunt as rotating events and will return for set intervals in the future.
  • The Black Lotus Bazaar has new delights for the fashionable and discerning Exile! Look forward to new bundles such as Khitan New Year and the Vanir Cabin!

General Gameplay & Systems (All Platforms)

  • Multiple placeholder localization strings were corrected in the Admin Panel
  • Attribute points could desync after level-ups during server crashes
  • Coup de Grace truncheon did not properly kill T1–T3 thralls, instead leaving them unconscious
  • Stacking and clipping issues affected various placeable items including kegs, tables, desks, and paintings
  • Sorcerous pet food had incorrect expiration timers across server types
  • Stability loss on upgraded altars occurred if placeables were present during model scaling changes
  • Crafting the Keystone did not return the item or ingredients on dedicated servers when using drag-and-drop method
  • Battering Ram was not available for crafting at appropriate Blacksmith benches
  • Executioner Chest placement was too close to cliff edge, risking player or item loss
  • Player characters could respawn inside previously visited dungeons after death or relogging
  • Dismemberment effects from Battle Pass content were not triggering as expected
  • Character creation settings were not consistently saved for newly created characters
  • Sated food buff unintentionally reduced base health values
  • Multiplicative stat modifiers with the same value failed to apply consistently
  • Turanian Tiger Cub recipe incorrectly required Animal Pen instead of Handcrafting
  • Email verification UI truncated confirmation text
  • Candles remained floating at Headhunter event locations after despawn
  • Unlocking the Quickfooted perk previously caused animation issues during normal walking movement
  • Fixed splitting a stack on the hotbar, causing half to disappear.

Bazaar Items & Cosmetics

  • Numerous Bazaar assets failed to appear in the Ancestral Knowledge or Admin Panel after purchase
  • Clipping or improper placement behavior affected several Bazaar decorations and structures
  • Incorrect placement and dismantle SFX were assigned to various Bazaar items (e.g. wood items using stone sounds)
  • Claw Training Emote bundle did not unlock unarmed emote unless granted via Admin Tool
  • Dye slots on several armor pieces were missing, non-functional, or misconfigured
  • Weight values were identical across Bazaar pet variants regardless of type (Normal, Alpha, Greater)
  • Turanian Tiger Cubs incorrectly transformed into default Tiger Cub during revive attempts
  • Hyrkanian Painted Horse could not be moved into stables and failed to produce dung
  • Missing collision detected on certain decorations (e.g. Paper Lanterns, Market Round Tent)
  • Cosmetic naming inconsistencies included ‘Eyebrows’ listed as two separate words

Purge System

  • Purge events failed to start under valid basecamp conditions
  • HUD messages, threat indicators and victory messages for Purge were not localized
  • Users could reach a negative threat level, preventing progression
  • Damage could be dealt to caged NPCs before liberation sequence completed
  • Performance degradation occurred during simultaneous Purge events
  • FOB spawn logic allowed bases to generate on already-claimed player land
  • Purge Accountant dialogue failed to trigger correctly in single-player

Crafting & Knowledge UI

  • Multiple items failed to appear at appropriate crafting stations or under expected subcategories (e.g. Battering Ram, Bazaar items)
  • Knowledge entries were miscategorized or missing for various unlockables
  • Post-purchase, many Bazaar items did not unlock properly in Ancestral Knowledge
  • Invalid or missing dye slot configurations were found across several armor sets

Platform-Specific (PC/Xbox/PS5)

  • Ping and player counts were not displayed correctly on Xbox and PlayStation server browsers (PS/Xbox)
  • Initial login caused crash on dedicated servers after first boot sequence (PS)

Building & Placeables

  • Snapping, stacking, and collision issues affected a variety of placeables and structural elements
  • Missing or mismatched placement and dismantling SFX impacted newly added structures
  • Vanir Cabin and similar foundations had terrain offset issues leading to floating visuals
  • Certain decorative items and doors could be placed repeatedly in the same location causing overlap
  • Hanging Blacksmith Sign could not be placed on all wall types (pending confirmation of item release)

Ambient Life, Smart Objects, and AI

  • Ambient Thralls failed to interact properly with smart objects such as hookahs
  • Pathing issues led to ambient NPCs getting stuck in doorways or overlapping paths
  • Bar Patrons were unable to open doors or resumed unintended interactions after being interrupted
  • Smart object toggles were missing on multiple Bazaar-related items
  • Accumulated Thralls stacked in fixed locations or appeared in idle T-pose

AI, Companions & Quests

  • Forge mobs did not properly despawn when initiating the Forge Fight quest with Freya

Localization & Text

  • Multiple entries in UI, knowledge panels, and system messages displayed placeholder localization strings
  • Text labels were inconsistently translated or formatted (e.g. ‘Eyebrows’, ‘Dregts Brazier’)
  • Victory and challenge announcements were untranslated across multiple languages
  • Incorrect or non-localized messages appeared in event logs and content screens

Miscellaneous & Technical

  • Multiple logging fixes and optimizations.
  • Multiple streaming and loading optimizations and fixes.
  • Addressed various exploits and cheats

Given the cadence on how Funcom releases these patches, we should get a hotfix soon if something breaks or needs tuning from this patch. However, something much more significant is expected after a few months.
