Dead by Daylight Upcoming Updates Detailed; Hemorrhage Rework, Ghost Face Update, & More

Behaviour Interactive has released details on the Dead by Daylight upcoming updates, from changes coming to the game’s most notorious Killers to reworks on the more controversial status effects. Check out the rundown on all the changes coming to the game below.

Dead by Daylight Upcoming Updates:

Patching Optimization: Part 2

At the start of the year, we announced our plan to improve patch times. Coming in two parts, the first (smaller) change launched on Steam in January, compressing the game files and improving the patch times.

We’re about to launch the second part of these changes, which will have a much larger impact than the first and affect all platforms. How does it all work?

To put it simply, the game is broken into small chunks. When something in one of these chunks changes, the whole chunk must be updated. As the game has grown over the years, so have these chunks, causing downloads to get bigger and patch times to get longer.

Starting in this Mid-Chapter, we’ve completely restructured and rebalanced these chunks. This way, you won’t have to download or patch nearly as much unnecessary data when the game updates, making patch speeds up to 200% faster.

Please note that since we’re changing the file structure of the game, you will need to completely redownload the game with the 5.7.0 update. Afterwards, all future updates will be significantly faster than before. Opting in or out of the 5.7.0 Public Test Build (PTB) will also cause a large download.

Ghost Face Update

Starting things off, we have a few changes in store for Ghost Face. First, we are increasing the duration of Ghost Face’s mark to 60 seconds (up from 45). This change gives him a longer window to follow up and get a hit after successfully stalking a Survivor and makes outlasting the Exposed effect harder for Survivors.

Second, marked Survivors are no longer able to reveal Ghost Face. While other Survivors will still be able to reveal him, running off on your own now becomes riskier, as you’ll have no choice but to evade him while he’s Undetectable (unless you manage to get a lucky stun!)

Lastly, we noticed that many of Ghost Face’s add-on have gone largely unused with a few exceptions standing out well above the rest. We always want to see a wider variety of add-ons being used, so we’ve done a pass on the majority of Ghost Face’s add-ons to bring them up to a similar power level.

Legion Update

All these years later, The Legion remain one of the more frequently used Killers, and it’s easy to see why: Sometimes, you just wanna’ go fast with a knife. That’s why these changes focus on making The Legion faster and knifier than ever before.

In all seriousness, the first of our changes is centered around chaining together hits. Being able to string together multiple hits on different Survivors is something that is core to The Legion’s design, so to help them do that, we’re giving them a stacking 0.2m/s speed boost for each Survivor they hit during Feral Frenzy. This will make it easier to close the gap as you switch targets. Additionally, a fifth hit will end your frenzy and put any Survivor into the dying state, adding a satisfying payoff for chaining together hits.

Next, we’ve lowered the post-Feral Frenzy fatigue duration to 3 seconds (down from 4 seconds). The fatigue is a crucial part of The Legion’s power, preventing them from cancelling their frenzy and immediately following up with a basic attack, circumventing the non-lethal aspect of their power. We found that lowering the duration to 3 seconds felt much better to play with, but also kept it feeling fair from a Survivor’s POV. To ensure that the fatigue doesn’t get out of hand, we’ve reworked any fatigue altering add-ons, since the two strongest ones were added to the base kit. We’ve also changed Feral Frenzy’s recharge to start as soon as it ends rather than after the fatigue, effectively reducing the power’s cooldown.

And last, add-ons: We’ve reviewed each of The Legion’s add-ons. Some will receive number tweaks while others will get entirely new effects. We want to shine a spotlight on the various Mixtape add-ons in particular. True to their name, these add-ons will also augment The Legion’s new music, and can even be mixed and matched to produce interesting results.

Hemorrhage Rework

Hemorrhage has long been one of the lesser desired Status Effects- for Killers, at least. Currently, Hemorrhage increases the frequency of blood pools, making it easier to track Survivors. This effect ends up not being very useful in most cases, as the Survivor will either be leaving scratch marks while sprinting or the blood pools will already be close together if they’re walking.

With that in mind, we’ve come up with a new version of Hemorrhage. Whenever you are not healing, Hemorrhage will cause your healing progress to regress at the rate of 7% per second. This new version rewards the Killer for interrupting a Survivor healing and has the potential to waste med-kit charges.

This change will affect all perks & add-ons that currently apply it.

Haddonfield Update

It’s become a tradition for each dev update to be followed by “Haddonfield rework when?” Well this tradition is coming to an end, because we saved the best for last (yes, that was a perk pun).

The iconic Lampkin Lane appeared in The Entity’s realm over five years ago. But with all the visual improvements around the rest of the game, that familiar street is starting to show its age. Not for long, though, Haddonfield is next in line to get a visual update.

The developers have not released a concrete date for these changes, so be sure to stay tuned here at MP1st for the complete patch notes once these updates roll around.

Battlefield 2042 Next Patch Set for April Has a “Few Hundred Changes,” Next Core Feedback to Be About Specialists

While DICE has remained silent on the next title update set to hit Battlefield 2042 in terms of official announcements, the studio’s Community Manager has revealed that the Battlefield 2042 next patch is due sometime in April, and will inclued a “few hundred changes.”

This was revealed by Battlefield Community Manager Straatford87 in answering a fan, and while the stuff included in the patch are about bug fixes, there are also vehicle balance changes, and gun attachments in it, too.

The next will be considerable (April), and we’re currently looking at a few hundred changes. It’s mostly bug fixes, but we’re also looking to make further changes to for example vehicle balance and the current behavior of attachments for weapons.

We’ll provide more details on what exactly is in the update closer to its release date via a full set of update notes. I know you would like to know more now, so I want to clarify that I’m not trying to tease you by being vague – I’m simply still compiling the full list of changes for you all because it’s a lot.

Edit: the update will also contain the End of Round Scoreboard functionality, and VoIP. I think this is known info, but want to share it again for those who missed it.

In another post on a different thread, Straatford87 also confirmed that the next core feedback topic will be everyone’s favorite, the Specialists.

For those unaware, the first core feedback article by DICE focused on maps, which you can read in detail right here.

Possibly and most likely one of the “hundred changes” in the Battlefield 2042 April update will be the 12G Frag Rounds nerf since it’s pretty much overpowered to the point that DICE had to pull it from the game temporarily.

What other changes would you want to see in April’s patch for Battlefield 2042? Once we know more details about it, we’ll let our readers know.

Marvel’s Avengers PS5 Crashing Issue Surfaces After March 28 Version 2.3 Patch

While Crystal Dynamics just released a big title update for Marvel’s Avengers today that included a ton of bug fixes alongside new features, it seems the patch has managed to mess things up on the PS5 version. Multiple users have reported on the Marvel’s Avengers PS5 crashing issue after installing today’s patch.

Marvel’s Avengers PS5 Crashing Issue Reports:

Here’s one of the reports that surfaced on the game’s subreddit:

just installed 2.3 on ps5 and I can’t get passed the intro cut scenes
byu/freddiemercenary inPlayAvengers

Fortunately, Crystal Dynamics is aware of the issue, and is currently investigating:

We are aware of a crash impacting PS5 players and are currently investigating the issue.

We’re not sure if Crystal Dynamics will release an emergency patch, or whether this can be fixed server-side. If there’s a workaround, we’ll update the post with it. If you spot anything that can fix this issue, leave a comment below to let us know.

Aside from the PS5 crashing issue, here are the other known issues that are still in the game, and was reported by Crystal Dynamics:

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Onboarding Rework – White progress bar for Back in Action does not update accurately as you make progress.
  • War Table Rework – Iconic, SHIELD, and Inhuman Faction missions may appear on the War Table if they were completed prior to updating to Patch 2.3.
  • Nameplates flicker and may not reappear when a strike team loads into a mission.
  • Hawkeye’s sword is sticking up from his feet in the character selection menu.
  • Missions in partially completed Operations may disappear after updating to Version 2.3.
  • A bug where Nick Fury’s lip sync doesn’t match his dialogue during the briefing.
  • A bug will occasionally send the fourth player loading into a Strike Team back to the main menu with a ‘connection error’ message after accepting an invite to load into an Outpost.
  • Equipping a Cosmic Potentiator will show an increase in status build-up for all statuses and not just Cosmic in the Heroes display panel. This is a UI error, and we are investigating.
  • Some Potentiator perks when equipped in a warzone do not apply the bonus damage.  We have found that reequipping them or equipping another Potentiator makes them function properly.  We are currently investigating this issue.
  • Priority Threat Sector rewards display still says “Hero Set Gear” instead of “Apex Power Set.” This will be fixed in an upcoming patch to reflect the correct name.
  • Several villain sectors (Sight Unseen, in particular) show that they are giving out seven rewards instead of two on the War Table. This is a UI bug. Only the first two icons are the actual rewards – the others are not awarded upon completion. We are investigating why this is happening.
  • Elite Vaults have been reported to show their Mission Chain rewards on the War Table instead of its mission rewards.  Elite Vaults only give gear and fragments as mission rewards and not units. We are investigating why this happens at such irregularity.
  • We’re aware of a UI issue causing overlapping text to appear when interacting with the Faction Terminal, Cosmetic Vendor, and Inhuman Faction mission giver, and we are looking for a fix.

If there’s a patch out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Activision Blizzard Sexual Harrassment Lawsuit Settled for $18 Million

Following months of hearings and back-and-forths, the Activision Blizzard sexual harrassment lawsuit has been settled for $18 million, with the company agreeing to set it up for “employees who experienced sexual harassment and discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, and retaliation.” The settlement comes from the lawsuit brought about by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

In a report from the LA Times, anyone who worked at Activision Blizzard after September 2016 and believe themselves to be affected by the sexual harrassment lawsuit, including those subject to harassment, discrimination and retaliation will be eligible to apply for a share of the cash payout. As part of the settlement, however, Activision Blizzard has retained their right to officially deny all wrongdoing, in addition to regular audits by the EEOC for the next three years.

In case you’re not aware, Activision Blizzard has been in hot water for months over various allegations of sexual harrassment and “frat boy culture.” Many employees have since called out CEO Bobby Kotick and asked him to step down, although in one of the most surprising buyouts of all time he was somewhat saved by Microsoft as the tech giant purchased out Activision Blizzard for a whopping $68.7 billion.

While this may seem like a win for Activision Blizzard overall as $18 million is quite the paltry sum compared to their overall worth, this lawsuit is just one of a number; many other discrimination and sexual harrassment lawsuits still remain unresolved, and will now most likely be given attention as this major one from the EEOC has been resolved. It remains to be seen if these other suits will be fruitful for the victims, so stay tuned here at MP1st for more updates once they’re available.

Just recently, Activision announced their that they are still in the process of developing premium and free-to-play Call of Duty experiences next year and beyond, and you can read all about it here.

Diablo 4 Open World, Dungeons Discussed In-Depth in New Dev Update

In their latest quarterly developer update, Blizzard breaks down the Diablo 4 open world, its environments, and all the places you’ll get to visit in Sanctuary. Check out a rundown of these places below, as well as videos showing off these new locations for Diablo 4.

In this new dev update, Chris Ryder, the game’s art director, as well as the environments team, discuss the open world of Diablo 4 – from the many places you’ll find yourself in Sanctuary, to some of the dungeons that players will delve in.

The environments of Diablo IV cover a lot of territory and visual real estate of the game: five distinct regions and hundreds of dungeons that you will experience. It is where all the monster-slaying, loot gathering, and exploration happens. Of course, none of this would be possible without the collective efforts of our talented designers, worldbuilders, engineers, environment artists, lighting artists, and technical artists.

Open World

Scosglen Coast

For the Scosglen coast the Environment Art team set out to tell the story of untamed, wild shorelines and headlands. As you transition toward the shores from inland, the coastal biome is first evidenced by the longer, more directional grasses that react to the driving offshore winds. The beaches are bleak and littered with seaweed, kelp and rotting carcasses. Rugged clifftops ascend high whilst promontories are carved by the continual pounding of waves below. Through the process of creating our biomes, the Environment Art team has set out to communicate that this coastline is rife with peril.

For the main settlements along the coast, it is important to us that they feel woven deep into the fabric of the coastline. Dwellings with deep-rooted foundations skirt the clifftops. In a futile attempt to withstand the harsh elements, these structures are comprised of whatever materials the locals could lay their hands on and are in various forms of disrepair. Stone walls, salvaged wood, and thatch for the roofs. A place of consolation for the brave fishermen that trawl these treacherous seas.

Orbei Monastery

The Orbei Monastery is an isolated and secretive feature in the rural Dry Steppes. While the Zakarum’s presence has diminished, the Orbei Monastery carries evidence that places of worship for the Zakarum can still quietly function. Since the location here is in the desiccated plains of the Dry Steppes, we aim to push the notion of dusty grasslands with sparse vegetation. We’ve made the conscious decision to add dark rocks that complement the pale blonde and rusty grasses. Poplar and Saxaul trees cling to the ground which really helps provide parallax movement on screen. This contributes to greater depth as elements in the foreground move quicker than those further back in the scene.

To help provide extra visual interest in the region, the Environment Art team created a Salt flats biome. Being able to have blue alkaline lakes skirted with salt-encrusted tufas, and vivid geothermal pools really helps add pockets of vibrancy to the Dry Steppes and create compelling natural landmarks.

Kyovashad

Our goal with Kyovashad is to really drive home the idea that this medieval settlement feels oppressive, frigid, and harsh. However, we still need to convey that this is a place of refuge afforded to those who reside within its boundaries. This is a militaristic settlement, so it is important that we give it a heavily defended presence straight off the bat. We believe it appropriate to provide a gradual buildup of smaller defense structures upon approach to the settlement. Doing this hints to you that something greater lies ahead. Upon reaching the gates you are confronted with steep stone, perimeter walls and a deep cavernous moat that wards off any unwelcoming visitors.

Upon entering the town, you see the architecture typical throughout Fractured Peaks. Making use of the wood from the many forests in the region, structures here are clad with natural pine boards and birch shingles. As with most dwellings in Sanctuary these buildings are very much function over form.

Dungeons

Forgotten Places in the world

This tile-set is an example of how we have ‘returned to darkness.’ We want to take you deep underground to the darkest recesses of Sanctuary, where a mysterious (and gross) corruption has taken root. This ancient temple is a great place to push some primal horror vibes. The fixed camera is one of our best tools since it allows us to place assets in the foreground without blocking the playable space. Because we always know where you are looking, we can dial in and customize the layouts, vistas, and foreground elements to make sure there’s a good composition. The spider legs are placed in specific locations for their unnerving silhouettes twitching in the background. Our dungeon design counterparts give us some great layouts to play with, which allow us to push the depth of each scene. We want you to have the impression that the dungeon goes on forever, and you’re only seeing a small part of a large underground labyrinth.

Wretched Caves

The world of Diablo IV is incredibly large, utilizing numerous unique tile-sets to cover all the various zones, biomes, and cultures. In order to create so much high-quality content, we found clever ways to reuse our tile-sets and add enough variety to cover 150+ dungeons. All while providing fresh experiences each time. One way we can do that is by dressing up tile-sets with various themes. This next dungeon is a hidden druid resting site overrun with demons. As you travel through the dungeon, you’ll see that it is covered with many druidic cultural items, such as talismans and charms. We place a lot of these items on a layer that can be turned on or off, depending on what the theme of the dungeon is. In one dungeon it’s a druid burial site, in another, it’s an uninhabited dark cave. Adding these sorts of details is a great way to add a lot of visual interest as well as visual storytelling. These assets were made by several teams, so this is a great example of many groups coming together to contribute to a final environment.

Flooded Depths

New dungeon features such as seamless floor transitions or traversals are exciting, but my favorite new feature is what we call tile-set transition scenes. These are scenes that allow us to connect two different tile-sets together in the same dungeon. Imagine running through a crypt, only to find a hole in the wall that seamlessly leads you deeper into a vast underground cave network. All while keeping the randomized layouts that change with each dungeon run. In this final video we show two tile-sets joined together by a tile-set transition scene. The first floor of this ruined keep remains dry and fairly intact, but as you journey deeper into the dungeon, you’ll discover that the lower levels have decayed from the endless floodwaters pouring in. This swampy ruin is perfect for the drowned to move in and fortify themselves deep below. You’ll have to fight your way through their defenses and climb across the rope to transition deeper into the flooded ruined tile-set.

Finally, as an additional bonus, Blizzard also showed off some more environmental art, and you can check it out in a video below.

You can read the full quarterly update via the official blog post on Blizzard’s site. With the game still in heavy development, it will be interesting to see when Blizzard will finally release Diablo 4 into the world, as it looks to be their most ambitious Diablo title to date.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Delayed; Pushed Back to Spring 2023

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delay, with the highly anti decipated game pushed back to Spring 2023. Series producer Eiji Aonuma delivered the announcement over on YouTube, although the delay was not the only thing that stole the show, as we also got treated to seconds of new footage that shares an interesting tidbit for the game. Check out the announcement below.

Here’s the meat of the announcement of the delay for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2:

As previously announced, the adventure in this sequel will take place not just on the ground as in the previous game, but also in the skies above. However, the expanded world goes beyond that, and there will be an even wider variety of features you can enjoy, including new encounters and gameplay elements.

In order to make this game’s experience something special, the entire development team is continuing to work diligently on this game, so please wait a while longer.

As for that new footage, you can see it at around 0:53 of the video. As Link pulls out the Master Sword, we get to see that more than half of it has been eaten away. This points to a possible scenario where fixing the iconic sword will be tied into Link’s new adventure, and fans of the series will have to wait and see next year how it will turn out.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this Spring 2023.

Crystal Dynamics has released the Marvel’s Avengers update 1.000.036 for both last-gen and next-gen platforms, and this is for the March update to the game called v2.3 by the studio! There are changes to the War Table missinos, new features, UI & matchmaking fixes and tons more! Read on for the long Marvel’s Avengers March 29 patch notes.

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.000.036 Patch Notes | Marvel’s Avengers March 29 Patch Notes:

WAR TABLE ONBOARDING REWORK

Patch 2.3 is all about the War Table, and our goal was to make the onboarding process simpler for new players. We’ve updated mission chains and the War Table to streamline this process, and Nick Fury returns in game to guide players through these changes. Read up on the update below:

War Table Updates: Mission Chains

To improve the experience for new players, we’ve changed the Power Level (PL) of specific content and created a new mission chain to guide players more easily through the Avengers Initiative’s variety of content. This new mission chain replaces several previous missions.

  • A new mission chain led by Nick Fury has been added. Reigning Supreme’s mission chain rewards are now included in this mission chain.
  • New mission chains meant to onboard players to various mission and systems have been added
  • A new mission chain has been added tracking completion of all Heroic Mission Chains except Spider-Man’s.
  • Reigning Supreme mission chain has been removed
  • Hive Mind mission chain has been removed
  • Cloning Around mission chain has been removed
  • Vault Discovery mission chain has been removed
  • SHIELD Protocols mission chain has been updated to unlock when any hero is at least Power Level 20. If the mission chain is already unlocked on an account prior to any hero being PL 20, you must get any hero to PL 20 to progress further in the mission chain.
  • Inhuman Sanctuary mission chain has been updated to unlock when any hero is at least Power Level 30. If the mission chain is already unlocked on an account prior to any hero being PL 30, you must get any hero to PL 30 to progress further in the mission chain.
  • Iconic Avengers mission chain has been updated to unlock when any hero is at least Power Level 10. If the mission chain is already unlocked on an account prior to any hero being PL 10, you must get any hero to PL 10 to progress further in the mission chain.
  • Last Avenger Standing mission chain has been updated to unlock when any hero is at least Power Level 130. If the mission chain is already unlocked on an account prior to any hero being PL 130, you must get any hero to PL 130 to progress further in the mission chain.
  • Beating the Odds mission chain has been updated to unlock when any hero is at least Power Level 20. If the mission chain is already unlocked on an account prior to any hero being PL 20, you must get any hero to PL 20 to progress further in the mission chain.
  • The Rise and Shine mission chain has been updated to completing a mission using Quickmatch.
  • Flashback Missions now have a new Icon.

War Table Updates: Missions

  • All Dropzones, Hives, and Threat Sectors are now always available on the War Table.
  • Faction Missions will now be removed from the War Table upon completion.
  • New Wasteland Dropzones and Threat Sectors have been added
  • A new Wasteland Vault has been added
  • Hero HARM Training rooms are now set to PL 1
  • The hopper system has been removed and all hopper-based missions such as Dropzones, Hives, and Threat Sectors are always visible on the War Table
  • Flashback Missions that end with a Villain have been replaced with Wasteland and Wakanda missions
  • HARM Challenges I-V will be unviewable on completion
  • HARM Challenges I-V and Priority HARM Challenges will now rotate once-a-day for users that have completed the HARM Challenges mission chain. This effect is retro-active for those that have already completed the mission chain prior to this patch.
  • Villain Sectors are now always visible on the War Table and no longer require grabbing a mission chain to unlock. Normal Villain Sectors require the player to be at least Power Level 25 to be viewable and Elite Villain Sectors require at least Power Level 90 to be viewable.
  • Vaults now require being Power Level 20 to view on the War Table
  • Flashback Threat Sectors now require being Power Level 80 to view on the War Table
  • Iconic Missions now require being Power Level 10 to view on the War Table
  • Faction Missions now require being Power Level 10 to view on the War Table
  • Tachyon Rifts now require being Power Level 110 to view on the War Table
  • Priority Threat Sectors now require being Power Level 140 to view on the War Table
  • Mega Hives now require being Power Level 140 to view on the War Table

War Table Updates: Factions

  • SHIELD Faction Mission Givers will now provide Vault mission chains instead of Villain Sector mission chains once per day.
  • A new weekly Elite Vault mission chain will be given
  • Inhuman Alliance Faction Mission Givers are now the only way to start Villain Sector mission chains, once per day.
  • A new weekly Elite Villain Sector mission chain will be given

War Table Updates: Matchmaking

  • Matchmaking is now only enabled for the following mission types outside of Quickmatch: Vault, Elite Vault, Villain Sector, Elite Villain Sector, Omega-Level Threat, Raid, Mega Hive, HARM Challenge, Priority HARM Challenge, as well as Event Missions: Corrupted Vibranium Threat Sector, Cosmic Threat Sector, Tachyon Rift, Flashback Threat Sector, and Priority Threat Sector.
  • Mission types with matchmaking disabled can be played solo or by inviting other players to your session.

NEW FEATURES

Checkpoint Rewards for the Discordant Sound Raid

  • We have changed the setup of rewards to drop from major encounters in the Raid, rather than all at the end. There are now four instances in the Raid that will award Gear.
    • Normal Raid
      • Sonic Wall – Discordant Gear (Defense/Heroic Slot) *Power level Increase
      • Forge/Control Room (which is completed first) – Discordant Minor Artifact *Power level Increase
      • First Klaw Fight – Discordant Minor Artifact
      • Final Klaw Fight – Discordant Gear (Melee/Ranged Slot) *Power level Increase
    • Elite Raid
      • Sonic Wall – Discordant Minor Artifact *Power level Increase
      • Forge/Control Room (whichever is completed first) – Elite Discordant Gear (Defense/Heroic Slot) *Power level Increase
      • First Klaw Fight – Discordant Minor Artifact *Power level Increase
      • Final Klaw Fight – Elite Discordant Gear (Melee/Ranged Slot) *Power level Increase
  • We have added Units as a reward to both the Mission Chain and the Mission itself. This means you will earn 1,000 Units when you complete it the first time per week, and 500 Units for each subsequent completion.
  • The mission Exotic remains the same.
  • The normal Raid will drop an additional Klaw Minor Artifact (though it will not improve your Power Level). We are still looking at improving the subsequent rewards and will update you when we have that plan finalized.
  • The new Mission Chain panel lists the order and what encounter gives you Gear.

Vault/Villain Sector Rewards

  • Vaults no longer need coordinates and can be picked up from the SHIELD Faction mission giver. One weekly Elite Vault and Villain Sector will also be a part of the weekly updates.
  • Vault and Villain Missions will always stay on the War Table, and their rewards now have a chance to drop the Exotic variants of their sets. Completing the daily and weekly Mission Chains gives a higher chance at the Exotic.
  • The weekly Elite Mission Chains will award two pieces of Gear: one will be either Melee or Ranged, and the other will be either Defense or Heroic.
  • Polychoron amounts have also been increased to 20 from normal and 30 from elite Vaults and Villain Sections.

Hero-Bound Mega Hives

  • The Mega Hives will work a little differently from other Hero-Bound Missions because of the elimination mechanic. If your Hero is above Power Level 140, even if you are knocked out during the Mega Hive, you will be able to claim weekly rewards after completing the Hive. Once those rewards are claimed, the Mission Chain will restart.
  • The first weekly completion per Hero will grant rewards. If you’d like to claim more rewards on the same Hero again, you will have to wait until the weekly reset.

Matchmaking Changes

  • Quickmatch – The Quickmatch option is now visible at both the regional and world view on the War Table. Quickmatchers will now match directly with each other. A random map from the Quickmatch pool is now selected upon mission launch. Groups can now queue for Quickmatch.
  • Join to Quinjet – On joining a Strike Team, players will now load directly into the Quinjet, skipping the load to the main menu. We’re introducing a voting system so that players can decide together on their preferred choice for important decisions. There are now new options including kicking a player, cancelling a selected map, and cancelling launch countdown.

Voting for Matchmaking

  • Select Mission. The strike team votes to select a mission from the War Table.
  • Interact/Story Vote. The strike team votes to begin a conversation/cutscene/etc. that will involve the entire Strike Team.
  • Fail On Expire Votes are a new voting option, which requires a unanimous yes vote to succeed. Players who abstain from voting will have their vote counted as a no. The following decisions are Fail On Expire.
  • Cancel Selected Mission. The selected mission is cancelled.
  • Cancel Mission Launch Countdown. Mission launch is aborted.
  • Matchmaking Toggle. Matchmaking is toggled to enabled or disabled for the Strike Team.
  • Kick Player. The chosen player is removed from the Strike Team. The player to be kicked is not informed of the vote, shown in the list of voting players, or tallied in the vote results.
  • Pass On Expire Votes are the former “Vetoes”, which only require one player to vote against the decision. Players who abstain from voting will have their vote counted as a yes. The following decisions are Pass On Expire.
  • Return to Quinjet. The strike team votes to return to the Quinjet if they’re in an active Warzone.
  • Reload Checkpoint. The strike team votes to reload checkpoint. This option is available in outposts and missions.

REASSEMBLE CAMPAIGN & AVENGERS INITIATIVE

  • Fixed a rare issue where players were unable to move in The Sound and the Fury after Crossbones leaves Klaw.
  • Fixed an issue in The Sound and the Fury where players might become trapped in Klaw’s bubbles indefinitely.

MULTIPLAYER & MATCHMAKING

  • Fixed an issue where black orbs no longer spawn in the Discordant Sound Raid.
  • Players no longer get stuck in a running animation if shot by the Command Crawler’s web attack in the Discordant Sound Raid.
  • Fixed an issue where the Command Crawler’s web effect no longer stays visible after a player is affected by it in the Discordant Sound Raid.
  • Fixed an issue when players collect anti-metal in the Discordant Sound Raid – the icon now properly appears on their screen rather than flickering.
  • In the Discordant Sound Raid, a small Crawler is no longer stuck in the jungle area.

ART & ANIMATION

  • When Black Widow is an NPC and wearing the Avenging Archer Outfit, she no longer wears glasses.
  • Mjolnir now appears in Thor’s Endgame Outfit when he performs God Blast.

USER INTERFACE

  • In Japan, the Shipments button no longer appears as a black box when High Contrast Mode is selected.
  • Various text and localization fixes.

COMBAT

  • The sound effect of being hit while a JARVIS barrier is active is no longer louder than other sound effects.

GEAR, CHALLENGES, & REWARDS

  • Any generic Perk listing “power attacks” that does not specifically say Ranged or Melee, now affects both.
    • In addition to this, many of these Perks had their low limits lowered (by 1-4%), and their high limits raised (by 1-5%) increasing the spread of bonus. Rarity of gear will dictate how close or one end or another the player will see their bonus.
  • All Targeted Perks will now work while Captain America’s Brooklyn Brawler is active.
  • Fixed an issue requiring Ms. Marvel to use Team Spirit twice to see the Perk effects adding bonuses to it.
  • Spider-Drone’s Cunning will now work with Discordant Gear.
  • Heroic regeneration while invisible Perks should now be working.
  • Perks adding effects or bonuses to Hulkbuster should now be working with the displayed value.
  • Black Panthers’ Vibranium Heavy Power attack status Perks will now affect each attack while pounced instead of just the last hit.
  • Rampage Perks will now activate the buff listed instead of only the invulnerability buff.
  • Ms. Marvel’s Perks applying Vibranium to her Heavy Power attacks will now have a chance to drop on gear from Wakanda.
  • Faultless Buff found on Klaw and Sonic gear text changed to specify that only melee critical hits will activate the buff.
    • It’s special on Klaw gear as it is found in slots not commonly used for melee activated Perks.
  • Fixed Perk Breaker only increasing stun damage from Perks by 20% instead of the 200%.
  • Reverberation Breaker now fixed to increase Vibranium fill rate as listed on the Perk.
    • Name changed to Vibranium Amplifier.
  • Scream Breaker now increases damage to attacks infused with sonic and not fill rate.
  • Perks affecting statuses with now apply that bonus to payloads of that type.
    • Example – Reverberation Drive will work with any Vibranium Payload.
    • Granting and Receiving Magnifier will now work with Vibranium, Cosmic, and Pym Payloads.
  • Potentiator Perks have been buffed/modified
    • They will increase meter build up and damage with attacks infused with its status effect.
    • The damage increase does not stack with duplicate Potentiator or Breaker Perks of the same status type.  This is detailed in the perk text.
    • They also affect Payloads and status buildup of Leaks of their status type
  • Captain America’s Aegis of the Nomad and Armor of the Nomad had wrong Perk strings saying it extended Brooklyn Brawler’s duration.  The text was incorrect as it was extending the duration of Commander’s Call, not Brooklyn Brawler.  The text is now fixed.
    • Connected to that, Commander’s Call was the attack used to activate the buff, not the buff itself. The buff that’s shown in the feed is now, correctly, labeled as Captain’s Defense.
    • All Perks calling the buff Commander’s Call, has been changed to refer to Captain’s Defense.
  • Hero Set gear, Vibranium Gear, Sonic Gear and JARVIS gear that drops in the heroic slot can now drop with Might as an attribute.
  • Classic and Technical Hero Set Gear Melee and Ranged slots can now drop with Vibranium as a possible status effect
  • Apex Hero Set Gear melee and ranged slots can now drop with any of the basic 6 status effects (Shock, Gamma, Plasma, Cryo, Pym, And Cosmic)
  • Ms. Marvel can now see Signature Attacks as a status attack type in Perks.
  • Kate Bishop can now see Signature Attacks as a status attack type in Perks.
  • Hawkeye’s Recovery Amplification and Recovery Extension are now stacked together.
  • Iron Man’s Arc Reactor Efficiency Perk edited to identify its passive energy regeneration increase.
  • Captain America will get a new perk to his Elite Discordant Raid perk pool.  Lethal Charge Conduit can drop in the ranged slot and states “Defeating an enemy while Captains charge is active activates the SONIC CONDUIT buff. Captain America is considered the sender.  No other sonic conduit perks are needed for this to work.”
    • This was a perk that we got working later that did not make launch and ties into the loop of Captains Charge.  It also gives Captain America the unique ability to become the Sender without sonic damage.
  • Norn Stone of the Fearless and Vanguard can now roll with Faultless Vibranium Payload in slot 2 from the Discordant Raid.
  • Sweeping changes to Perk names and descriptions to standardize how Perks are labeled.
    • Some flavor might have been reduced, the language across the board should be easier to understand.
  • Tundra TS rewards
    • One of the new War Zones players will see on the War Table is a Threat Sector in the Snowy Tundra.
    • This Threat Sector will not give random scaling gear, but Cryo gear. The Universal Set gear reward remains unchanged.
  • Black Widow
    • Infiltrator’s Belt
      • Replaced generic Heroic Support regen with Assault Empowerment, which has a high chance to activate a boost of Intrinsic Energy when using Widow’s Bite
