New Play at Home Initiative Announced, Ratchet & Clank PS4 Initial Free Game

Last year, the entire world was in turmoil due to the COVID-19 pandemic that’s still plaguing most countries today. To ease lockdown restrictions, Sony launced the Play at Home program that gave players free games! Sony has announced the new Play at Home initiative today, and once again, gamers are getting free stuff!

This year’s Play at Home initative starts on March 1 until June. Here’s the initial batch of free stuff gamers are getting:

Starting March 1, 2021

  • PlayStation and Insomniac Games will make Ratchet & Clank PS4 available for free download for a limited time through PlayStation Store from March 1 at 8pm PST / March 2 at 4am GMT / 5am CET to March 31, 2021 at 8pm PDT* / April 1 at 4am BST / 5am CEST. Once you redeem the game, it will be yours to keep. This 2016 PS4 action-adventure hit from Insomniac Games revisits the origin stories of these beloved PlayStation heroes and features a great mix of outrageous combat and comedy.

Starting March 25, 2021

  • Our friends at Funimation (a joint venture of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Aniplex of Japan) are kicking in a very special offer: extended access for new subscribers to Funimation or Wakanim in the countries they are available **. Funimation is an anime-focused subscription service and Wakanim is  Funimation’s European division. While there will be additional details to follow, this offer is only available to our community who sign up for and download the Funimation (in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand) or Wakanim apps (in most of Western and Northern Europe) starting on March 25 for a limited time.

According to Sony, this is just the beginning of what’s in store for this new Play at Home program, and from the looks of it, games aren’t the only thing gamers are getting.

While I live getting free games, let’s hope this is the last Play at Home program that’s necessitated by the pandemic. Let’s hope that by next year, Sony is giving out free games just because they want to, and not because we’re forced to stay inside our homes.

Dead by Daylight Update 2.14 February 23 Rolled Out for Bugfix Patch 4.5.2 Changes

While we got a Dead by Daylight patch last week, it wasn’t the HUD layout changes that players were expecting. Well, the wait is over now! Behaviour Interactive has released the Dead by Daylight update 2.14 February 23 patch, or what the studio calls the bugfix patch 4.5.2! This includes the HUD layout changes as mentioned in the patch preview earlier this month.

Dead by Daylight Update 2.14 February 23 Patch Notes (Bugfix 4.5.2):

Content

  • Raised camera to original position when crawling
  • Changed transition animations in Survivor Locomotion to make the controls feel more responsive.

HUD Layout Changes:

  • Moved the objectives from the top center of the screen to the bottom left corner and removed the additional text. Objectives are now icon based.
  • Increased the size of the objectives icons and added background shading to help improve their visibility when viewed on bright environments.
  • Increased the font size of the generator count number.
  • Reduced the size of the Killer’s hook count widget to be more in line with the other objectives.
  • Lowered the stack of player status widgets from the top left corner to the lower left corner. They now sit just above the new objectives location and expand upwards.
  • Increased the width and height of the timer bar under the player names in the player status widget.
  • Added a new setting in the Settings menu to control the size of the Skill Check independently of the HUD scale setting.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Killers to appear further away than they actually were on Survivor screens (This was the primary cause of the hit registration (hitbox) issues seen since 4.5.0)
  • Fixed an issue that caused survivors to crawl faster than intended.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented event bloodpoints from being awarded from certain indoor generator types used on maps including Midwich Elementary and Lery’s Memorial Hospital.
  • Fixed an issue with survivor camera-based interaction priority that could make it impossible to prioritize interactable objects on the ground (such as bear traps near pallets).
  • Fixed an issue that could cause survivors with the perk Calm Spirit to scream when caught in a bear trap.
  • Fixed an issue with Hex: The Third Seal and Hex: Undying that could cause the hexed players and hexed player count to be incorrectly reset when the Third Seal’s totem is destroyed and Undying is still active.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the haste status effect icon not to show when using Refined Serum.
  • Fixed an issue that could allow the nurse to attack during the first few frames of fatigue after a blink, and skip the fatigue.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the add-ons Black Heart and Mew’s Guts from increasing the Demogorgon’s recovery speed.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the survivor’s portrait become highlighted any time infection from the Plague was increasing. It should only highlight to indicate when a survivor has reached maximum sickness.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the speed boost from uncloaking with the Wraith add-on The Serpent to trigger too early to be of use.
  • Fixed an in issue that could cause incorrect values for the Unbroken emblem.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to end up on the wrong side of pallets when stunning a killer.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the proper indicators from displaying for the Doctor when using Shock Therapy, Static Blast, or missed Snap Out Of It skill checks.
  • Fixed an issue that caused survivors to keep the default outfit between the lobby and the loading screen to the trial when playing a Custom Game.
  • Fixed an issue where old event items would sometimes appear in bloodwebs.
  • Fixed an issue where the UI can show a healthy survivor as injured when healed for two health states very quickly.
  • Fixed various collision-related issues Crotus Penn Asylum.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause charms on hooks to not be visible to Killers.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause the game to get stuck on the tally screen when entering spectator mode at the same time last Survivor reaches the tally screen.

Bug Fixes missing from 4.5.1 and 4.5.0 Patch notes

Following bugs were fixed, but not mentioned in previous Patch notes.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause injured survivor sounds be louder than intended after rush-entering a locker (they should be audible, but muffled) (missing note from patch 4.5.1)
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Plague from being able to infect window vaults with Vile Purge (missing note from patch 4.5.1)
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Shape from playing recoil animations or sound effects when hitting an obstruction in Evil Within III (missing note from patch 4.5.1)
  • Fixed an issue that could reduce the Legion’s acceleration while attacking with Feral Frenzy (missing note from patch 4.5.1)
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Huntress from hearing audio feedback on a long-range hatchet hit (missing note from patch 4.5.0)
  • Fixed an issue with the perk Deception that could cause a “Hide” prompt to appear but not be usable (missing note from patch 4.5.0)

[Windows store only]

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when revoking the consent.

Known Issues

  • Skill Check UI Scaler option in the options menu appears in English for all non-English languages. This will be fixed with the next Chapter patch.

Once we get wind of the next list of changes, we’ll let our readers know.

Gran Turismo 7 Delayed to 2022

In news that should shock no one familiar with the franchise, Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 release has been officially pushed back to 2022, with the on-going COVID-19 pandemic cited as the main cause.

Sony has confirmed this in phone interview with GQ. In the call with PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, a Sony rep jumped amd issued the following statement:

“GT7 has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges and therefore will shift from 2021 to 2022. With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing situation and some critical aspects of game production have been slowed over the past several months. We’ll share more specifics on GT7’s release date when available.”

Given how past games in the franchise has been delayed numerous times, I can’t say I’m surprised. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has definitely made it harder to make games, and I can’t say I blame Sony or Polyphony for this. I’d rather have a great Grant Turismo 7 game than one that was rushed.

Hitman 3 Update 1.02 (PS5 1.003) Shoots Out for v3.11 February Patch

IO Interactive has rolled out the Hitman 3 update 1.02 February 23 patch (will show up as PS5 1.003 version), or what the studio calls the February update version 3.11! This includes new content such as a new outfit, Deluxe Escalations, location changes, HUD tweaks and loads more!

According to the devs, this clocks in at 2-3GB in total for all platforms it’s available on, though those playing on Nintendo Switch or Stadia will not need to download anything, and will instead get the latest version of the game once they launch Hitman 3 after the maintenance period is complete for the day.

Hitman 3 Update 1.02 (PS5 1.003) February 23 3.11 Patch Notes:

New Content

The Tactical Turtleneck is now an unlockable suit for all HITMAN 3 players. Once unlocked, it will be added to your inventory and can be used on any location that allows you to choose a suit. To get your hands on it, you’ll have to return to the ICA Facility and complete The Final Test.

New Deluxe Content

Owners of the HITMAN 3 Deluxe Edition or Deluxe Pack will get access to new content this month, as part of the ongoing rollout of Deluxe conent. This will bring the total number of released Deluxe Escalations to 5/6. We expect to release the final Deluxe Escalation – and therefore all content included in the Deluxe Pack – in March 2021. Here’s what’s included in February for Deluxe Edition/Pack owners:

Deluxe Escalation: The Proloff Parable

Become The White Shadow and use the White Custom Sieger 300 and White Katana to complete this challenging Escalation in the Carpathian Mountains. Complete all stages and all of the items will be in your inventory.

Deluxe Escalation: The Gauchito Antiquity

Get ready for The Guru to give you a taste of his emetic medicine in Mendoza. With the Emetic Grenade and Emetic Pen Syringe at your disposal, you’ll need to work through all stages to unlock the three items for your inventory.

February Roadmap: Initiation Protocol

New content will be added to HITMAN 3 every week in February, including an upcoming Elusive Target in Sapienza, Escalation Contracts in Dubai and Dartmoor as well as Featured Contracts from our friends at MinnMax and KindaFunny. See our February Roadmap post for new details. A full roadmap for next month will be released in early March.

General Updates

Deluxe ContentWe’ve fixed an issue that could prevent some players from being able to access their Deluxe Edition content (digital book and soundtracks) via IOI Account. After installing this patch, players should first launch HITMAN 3 and then check the ‘Rewards’ section of their IOI Account profile. It may take up to 15 minutes for the downloads to appear after playing HITMAN 3.

Connectivity

We’ve made several tweaks on the back-end since launch and this first major patch allows us to do more. We’ve made several technical improvements and tweaks that will result in a smoother and more stable experience for all players. This will also improve the experience for players who were receiving errors when trying to exit a mission.

Stability

We’ve resolved multiple, wide-ranging issues that were causing the game to crash for various reasons. Players on all platforms will benefit from these improvements.

Trophies/Achievements

We’ve resolved an issue that could prevent the “Reach Mastery Level 20” achievements/trophies from triggering, despite players reaching that milestone. In some cases, this issue could also prevent PlayStation players from earning the Platinum trophy. Players that have been affected should unlock the relevant trophies/achievements when they launch the game after installing the 3.11 patch.

Trespassing Agility

We’ve updated the HUD rules to accurately display when Agent 47 is trespassing whilst performing agility moves (climbing, vaulting, etc). In the past, the HUD would show that all pipes and ledges were ‘non-trespassing’ even when that wasn’t the case. In truth, 47 was trespassing, but the HUD didn’t reflect that. This change will mean that the HUD will display accurately when you are trespassing. This may cause for some inconsistencies (such as only half of a drain pipe being a trespass zone), but the information you see will now be accurate according to the mission setups. We’re monitoring any further issues that might come up on this.

Hostile Trespass

We’ve added a new audio effect for when players begin trespassing in a hostile area.

Silent Assassin HUD Updates

Info: What is the Silent Assassin HUD?

An icon next to your minimap that will track and show whether the coveted Silent Assassin (SA) rating is still possible on your current playthrough. Turn it on/off here: Gameplay>HUD>Silent Assassin HUD

Recording Eraser

We’ve added a new state to the Silent Assassin HUD. This third state will display when the SA rating is still possible, but 47 needs to erase recordings before exiting the level. This will be shown as an orange/yellow blinking image of the usual SA HUD image and a security camera.

Fail Better

We’ve adjusted the red SA HUD indicator (SA ‘failed’) to make it easier to identify when compared to the green state. The red icon is now a red outline of the SA HUD icon, rather than a solid red colour. The green icon remains solid. This should make the red and green states easier to identify for some colorblind players.

Location Changes: Dubai, UAE

Unintended Base Jump

We’ve adjusted a few places where Agent 47 would jump off the side of the building and outside of the playable area instead of ‘vaulting’, like the prompt suggests he can. This includes the one you might have encountered when throwing knives at boxes in the Sinbad Stringent Escalation.

No Ghost

We’ve adjusted the weapon protocols in Dubai so that security guards (or anyone disguised as one) are unable to openly carry sniper rifles. They’re now restricted in all disguises and will be enforced accordingly.

Incorrect Arabic

We’ve adjusted the Arabic script used on the information boards around the location. The text is now displayed in the correct way and with improved accuracy for some of the translations.

Invisible Walls

We’ve removed two invisible walls that could partially block Agent 47 from freely moving through the ventilation room near the Penthouse.

Lockdown

We’ve resolved an issue where players could be unable to complete the How The Mighty Fall Mission Story after triggering the silent alarm and then being compromised by the investigating guards.

Location Changes: Dartmoor, England

Top Gear

We’ve resolved an issue where the Top Gear challenge wouldn’t unlock. This was only an issue if you chose to get on the bike from one particular side. Now, you can get on however you want and still get the challenge.

Mr Pond

We’ve resolved an issue where bodies that were ‘dumped’ in the pond were not always ‘hidden’ and could be discoverd.

Location Changes: Berlin, Germany

Canal Man

We’ve resolved an issue where Agent 47 could fall out of the playable area. In several different places. It was almost as if he was trying to escape.

Equip: Wrench

We’ve removed the manhole in Berlin as it was causing several issues. There are healthier alternatives to dumping bodies or leaving the mission. They are now your go-to.

PumpCap

We’ve resolved an issue where players could get stuck after taking cover next to a petrol pump.

Lemon Aid

We’ve resolved a complicated issue that could cause the game to crash when eliminating or subduing a specific target (Agent Lemon) after performing specific events prior to that.

Location Changes: Chongqing, China

Confused Shortcuts

We’ve resolved an issue where unlocking the Facility Elevator Shaft shortcut would unlock the challenge for unlocking the Inner Courtyard shortcut, and vice versa.

The All-Seeing Controller

We’ve resolved an issue where players could not complete either The Controller or the All Seeing Eyes Mission Story on Master Difficulty. We’ve also fixed a related issue that would prevent the description for All Seeing Eyes from displaying in the notebook.

Laundromat

We’ve resolved an issue where the technologically advanced ‘invisible’ washing machines that we added to Chongqing were causing players to report them as bugged. We’ve reverted them to the ‘normal’ type of washing machines you’d expect to see. We would like to take this time to thank everyone else who understood what we were going for.

Illegal Umbrellas

We’ve resolved another ‘innocent item is illegal on casual difficulty’ issue. This time it was the umbrella.

Double O Double U

We’ve resolved a(nother) handful of issues where it was possible for 47 to fall outside of the playing space. He’s persistent.

Falsk Frisk

We’ve changed the behaviour of the guards on top of the apartment building roof so that they no longer frisk 47 when he’s wearing a guard disguise.

M.C Fusebox

We’ve resolved an issue where disabling a fusebox near the Lotus Passage could eventually attract a large amount of guards one at a time. Now, only a handful that are nearby will be tempted.

Location Changes: Mendoza, Argentina

The Tour

We’ve resolved a few issues where players would be unable to progress or complete The Tour Mission Story, depending on their actions.

Oh Snap 2.0

We’ve resolved an issue where a small speech bubble saying “Oh Snap” would appear in the level, seemingly at random. Not sure what else to say about this one. No more speech bubbles.

Frost

We’ve resolved an issue where NPCs could see through the frosted glass in the wine cellar. Now, it’s really good frosted glass, so they won’t see anything you do, at all.

Cacti

We’ve trimmed the cactuses near to the Backdoor shortcut to prevent 47 getting stuck behind them.

Arachnid Pointing Meme

We’ve made a change to the Winemaker’s behaviour so that they will now enforce their own disguise, should they be knocked out and then woken up again. Previously, they’d be completely okay with overcoming a headache and watching someone else wearing their clothes.

For My Next Trick

We’ve fixed an issue where all the items in a specific room in the Steel Tank area would ‘disappear’ when 47 was stood in a specific place.

A Generic Patch Note

We’ve tweaked some behaviours for some guards to be more consistent around the Winery Cinema. We’ve been vague here to avoid describing something cool that shouldn’t be revealed in our patch notes.

Location Changes: Carpathian Mountains, Romania

Snow Dive

We’ve tweaked some of the agility setups on the roof of the train to prevent 47 falling off and getting lost in the wilderness.

Menu / HUD / UI / UX Improvements

Hello, Old Friend
We’ve adjusted the background contrast of the mission end screens to make them darker. The intention is to make the white text easier to read.

MinniMap

We’ve moved the border of the mini map to properly align it with the actual map. It was misaligned by a few pixels.

Oh Snap! 1.0

We’ve added a full description to the camera item when viewed in the inventory.

Intel Acquired

We have updated the images for some Intel items on the Berlin and Carpathian Mountains campaign mission.

Just A Matter…

We’ve reviewed and updated the inventory images for some items to make sure that their size and perspective fits better with the other items.

UD; LR

We’ve tweaked the display of the ‘d-pad’ icons in the menus to make them easier to identify. For example, when we show how to switch ammo types in Sniper Assassin.

Place Down

We’ve tweaked the indicator for placing an item so that it’s easier to see in some instances.

Sneak Level 47

We’ve fixed an issue where we didn’t tell you the exact button to press for crouching. It’s quite important that you know how to sneak, so we’ve fixed that.

Reload HUD

We’ve updated the Reload HUD icons to make them more visible, especially for some PS5 players.

Sapienza Menu

We’ve updated the Destination background image for Sapienza to better reflect the current lighting.

Where It’s Due, 3.11

We have updated the HITMAN 3 credits to reflect the work that has been done since we submitted the game for release. We also correct a few errors and included new members of the team.

Virtual Reality (PS VR)

I Know It…

We’ve added a note to the Pause Menu that tells you to ‘look at the back of your hand’ for a mission status. The ‘back-of-your-hand’ HUD has been in the game since launch, but we noticed players not being able to find some elements there. We’re talking about it now because it just got a whole lot better.

VR HUD Improvements

We’ve added the SA HUD and Difficulty HUD options into the VR ‘back-of-your-hand’ HUD, where you can already see your current disguise. You can activate the back-of-your-hand HUD by trying to look at the back of Agent 47’s right hand.

Mission Timer HUD

We’ve added a way to see the Mission Timer in VR. When toggled on, the Mission Timer is now visible when looking at Agent 47’s right wrist. You just need to look down to see it.

Blue Grid Toggle

We’ve added an option that allows players to turn off the blue ‘safe area’ grid, which is permanently shown when the VR camera is having difficulties detecting the controller and headset. We’ve added this option due to player feedback, but strongly recommend that players keep it toggled on and instead adjust their hardware and physical position where possible.

Mission Story Fade

We’ve made a change to how the Mission Stories text is displayed in VR. Rather than permanently being on the screen, they’ll now be shown for a few seconds when there is an update and then fade out again. Activating the ‘back-of-your-hand’ HUD will display the text at any time.

VR Leaderboards

We have added a VR icon to the leaderboards to highlight when a score was achieved in VR.

Options Adjustments

We’ve adjusted the visibility and tweaked the toggles of a few of the settings that were not relevant when playing in VR. Weapon Aim, Fast Targets, Weapon HUD, Reload HUD and Autosave are affected. They have either been removed from the Options menu when playing in VR, or the toggles have been simplified to explain the impact for VR players.

Seeing Spots

We’ve resolved an issue that could cause small green dots to flicker on the screen, especially in Dubai. This was caused by an issue with the UI.

Background Bleed

We’ve resolved an issue where the background image in the Career page would overflow vertically. It’s been tidied up.

Cutscene Exit

We’ve resolved an issue that could cause the game to revert to ‘2D’ or crash after exiting a mission whilst a cutscene is playing.

Save. Load. Repeat

We’ve resolved an issue that could make it impossible to see all of the available save slots when trying to load a mission. The save files are there, but this visual issue was preventing VR players from seeing them.

Revealing…

We’ve fixed an issue where some prompts or on-screen icons would briefly flicker when first appearing, such as the ‘bulb’ icon when a Mission Story is being revealed.

Smoke Test

We’ve tweaked the ‘smoke’ visual effect to make sure it looks great in VR. The smoke can be seen from explosions, weapon fire and on specific events like the Miami podium was sometimes lacking some finesse.

Notable Updates for In-game Challenges

No Discovery For You!

We’ve resolved an issue that could cause the ‘Discover [Location]’ challenges to not complete. The issue was caused by players discovering areas whilst in the ‘Contract Creation’ mode and those ‘discoveries’ were not being added to the total amount. With this fix, when discovering locations in Contracts Mode, players will see that the areas have been discovered when they launch a mission in that location and then complete (or quit) the mission.

Two Suave For You

We’ve resolved an issue where the Summer Suave Suit was listed as an unlockable for two different challenges. Now, the suit will be unlocked only when completing the ‘Escalations – Track 2, Tier 9’ challenge.

SA17 SO12 (4U)

We’ve resolved an issue with the ‘SASO x12’ challenge. The description said “x17”. You can probably guess what the fixed involved. 172

Game Mode Changes: Sniper Assassin

A Mansion in the Mountains

We’ve added the briefing video for the Himmelstein Sniper Assassin map back into the game. It was AWOL.

Sniper Rifle Mastery

We’ve resolved an issue where the Mastery upgrades that players had earned were not added to the rifle and players were always using the ‘base’ rifle regardless of their upgrades. Now, the earned progress will be reflected accurately with the correct upgrades.

Druzhina 34 ICA Wallbang

We’ve removed the Shockwave and Wall-piercing perks from the Druzhina 34 ICA sniper rifle when it is used outside of the Sniper Assassin mode. These were never intended to be available outside of the Sniper maps.

Platform-Specific Changes: PS5

Game Help (Added Feb 09)

We’ve added support for Game Help on PlayStation 5.
(This is a platform-level feature and doesn’t impact gameplay)

When playing a campaign mission in HITMAN 3 (including HITMAN 1 & 2 missions), PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 can get access to hints on how to complete each Mission Story, with videos and step-by-step instructions.

Across all three games, there are more than 450 hints.

Platform-Specific Changes: PC

Ansel Super

We’ve resolved an issue where players could encounter visual ghosting or blurred images when using either the Super Resolution Screenshots or adjusting FOV in Nvidia Ansel.

Apex Crasher

We’ve made changes to significantly reduce the chance of players using AMD 5700 CPUs from experiencing a crash when attempting to load Berlin.

Location Importing Reminder

Platform-Specific Changes: Switch

A Nonymous

We’ve resolved an issue where Switch users would see their username/ID listed as ‘anonymous’ on the leaderboards.

This is…

We’ve resolved an issue where Switch users were not correctly informed about server maintenance when it was active.

Look Up

We’ve resolved an issue where Switch players were unable to use the Contract Lookup feature in Contracts Mode

If you’ve yet to pick the game up, I suggest you do! Read our review to find out why,

SMITE Update 11.69 February 23 Now Out for Goddess of the Salt Sea Patch 8.2

Hi-Rez Studios has released the SMITE update 11.69 February 23 patch today or what the studio calls the Goddess of the Salt Sea 8.2 patch! This includes new god skins, gameplay fixes, and of course, Tiamat!

SMITE Update 11.69 February 23 Patch Notes (Goddess of the Salt Sea 8.2 Patch):

DEATH BEGETS LIFE
  • While in Flying stance Tiamat gains health from nearby ally and enemy deaths, less from minions. In Ground stance she gains up to 5 Hardened Scales, damage mitigation that breaks after a certain amount of damage is taken. Normal minions do not provide Hardened Scales.
  • Large heal: 40 + 8 per level
  • Small heal: 5 + 0.5 per level
  • Scale Mitigation: 60%
  • Shield value: 50 + 10 per level

PRIMORDIAL ONSLAUGHT
  • Tiamat gathers power, allowing her to fire orbs of energy at the end of the channel. Each orb damages enemies and stops on enemy gods. Hitting the same enemy deals 15% less damage each time, to a minimum of 70% reduction. This ability can fire additional projectiles at ranks 3 and 5.
  • Damage: 60/70/80/90/100 (+35% of your Magical Power)
  • Cost: 55/60/65/70/75
  • Cooldown: 10

RUINATION
  • Tiamat creates an energy field dealing low damage to enemies in the entire area and then a larger amount in the inner area. The inner area of the field also stuns enemies for a short duration.
  • Area Damage: 40/55/70/85/100 (+30% of your Magical Power)
  • Inner Damage: 60/95/130/165/200 (+40% of your Magical Power)
  • Stun Duration: 1s
  • Cost: 65/70/75/80/85
  • Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12

GROUNDING DIVE
  • Tiamat dives into the fight landing on all fours, dealing damage and switching to her Ground stance. This ability also provides Tiamat one Hardened Scale.
  • Damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (+40% of your Magical Power)
  • Cost: 40
  • Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14

CHILDREN OF CREATION
  • Tiamat is able to summon one of her children onto the battlefield. Summon Serpents: Serpents that travel down lanes and act as minions. Summon Beast: Kusarikku who stands guard waiting for enemy gods. Summon Storm: Umu Dabrutu, the storm that chases enemies.
  • Cost: 0
  • Cooldown: 0

SUMMON SERPENTS
  • Tiamat places a pit of creation which spawn Serpents of Tiamat that act like minions, traveling down lanes and attacking nearby enemies. 2 Serpents spawn every 10s and the deployable creates 3 waves before disappearing. Enemies hit by the serpents have their damage done reduced. Enemies can also stand on the pit to destroy it early.
  • Damage: 10 (+8% of your Magical Power)
  • Damage Reduction: 10/15/20/25/30 %
  • Hit Points: 2
  • Minion Damage: 1 HP lost per 3 hits

  • Cooldown: 46/42/38/34/30

SUMMON BEAST
  • Tiamat calls forth Kusarikku who stands guard at the target location. If an enemy god comes too close, he charges, slows and attacks them.

  • Health: 250 + 100 per rank
  • Lifetime: 30s
  • Cost: 50/55/60/65/70
  • Cooldown: 46/42/38/34/30

SUMMON STORM
  • Tiamat calls on the power of Umu dabrutu, conjuring a violent storm that follows enemies before knocking them upward and dissipating.
  • Initial Damage: 30/45/60/75/90 (+30% of your Magical Power)
  • Damage: 10/15/20/25/30 (+10% of your Magical Power) every 0.4s
  • Lifetime: 4s
  • Cost: 50/55/60/65/70
  • Cooldown: 46/42/38/34/30

CONSUME
  • Tiamat fires a cone dealing damage and slowing enemies hit. Minions, Large Monsters or Buff Holders hit under a health threshold are executed. Tiamat can immediately consume her Serpent and Beast pets to provide a Hardened Scale. When Tiamat consumes a Buff Holder she gains their buff while the original can still be picked up by allies. This allows Tiamat to pick up a second buff as well. Tiamat can only have one consumed and one regular buff at a time.
  • Damage: 60/95/130/165/200 (+60% of your Magical Power)
  • Slow: 25% for 1.5s

      • This has reduced trees and less tall landmarks for better camera visibility
    • Gameplay version of the map
      • The main wall behind Fire Giant has been decreased in size so that the Fire Giant’s scale feels more normal and so gods flying over it wont clip inside the rock. The size of the blocking volume of this area has not changed
      • Lowered the height of jungle trees and other objects that flying gods could clip into. We currently are planning on keeping the jungle tree density as is, though.
      • Adjusted the Order Base Arches to not block god vision while using aerial ultimates like Thor, Rama.
      • Additional set dressing, plants, props, and decorative items have been added

Items

GILDED ARROW
  • This Item should no longer mark jungle bosses

MANIKIN SCEPTER
And here is the second Manikin Scepter nerf! For more information we suggest reading the dev notes in the Bonus Balance section. For this adjustment we saw one other area of high frustration. The Attack Speed slow on this item, especially early, can limit gods ability to box and even clear in some cases. This should feel like a solid perk but currently when this became fully stacked it was nearly impossible to punch back. A reduction here should make this item more engaging to play against.”
  • Fixed an issue where Manikin Scepter was dealing Magical Damage rather than Physical Damage.
  • Decreased the Attack Speed Slow from 7% per stack to 3.5% per stack.

Gods

And now onto 8.2’s God Balance. These adjustments are largely focused on bringing up a few underperformers, fixing a few interactions that didn’t feel quite right, and a nerf to everyone’s favorite Tanuki.
DANZABUROU
Danzaburou responded well to our last round of nerfs, going from a top performer to closer to the middle of the pack. We however think he still has some room to climb as players learn the new Season and wanted to do a small adjustment to the scaling potential of Uproarious Rocket.

UPROARIOUS ROCKET
  • Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 110% to 100%.
KING ARTHUR
King Arthur is receiving a similar fix that Jormungandr receives in Season 8 PTS. We previously allowed King Arthur’s Basic Attacks to proc blessings, which bled over into our new starter items. Since these starters are more like true items they should be treated as such for Basic Attacks that don’t trigger item effects.

GENERAL
  • Fixed an issue where King Arthur could proc item effects with his basic attacks. Arthur should not be able to proc any item effects through basic attacks
BABA YAGA
Baba found a brewing catalyst shoved away in the back of her Cabin! She can now brew at speeds never before seen! We have heard feedback on her Brew feeling particularly clunky to use. Initially we felt this delay was important for player reaction time but given the strength of these potions and the strong sound and visual cues that exist for it, this delay mostly got in the way. This should smooth out Baba Yaga’s moment to moment gameplay.

BABA’S BREW
  • Decreased Potion Brew Prefire time from 0.4s to 0.2s.
  • Decreased Potion Brew Postfire time from 0.2s to 0.1s.
  • Decreased Potion Swap Prefire time from 0.3s to 0.1s.
  • Decreased Potion Swap Postfire time from 0.3s to 0.1s.
    • The travel speed and warning time of the lobbed potion is unchanged.
JORMUNGANDR
Jormungandr cannot be stopped! Except by Flat Damage Reduction. This stat while feeling fair in most contexts feel arbitrarily punishing on Jormungandr. Rather than buffing and nerfing Jorm around these items prevalence in the Meta, we felt it made sense that his unique basics should ignore this stat, normalizing his strength when fighting different items and builds. In addition we have seen him struggling as a whole and wanted to revert the damage taken debuff that we did some time ago. This should help him stay in the fray, especially when playing a true tank build.

BASIC ATTACKS
  • Jormungandr’s basic attacks can no longer be reduced by items that have flat damage reduction

IMMOVABLE
  • Decreased damage taken debuff from 15% to 10%
CERNUNNOS
With a new SEASON it is time for Cernunnos to SHIFT into the Meta! Ha! Shifter of Season’s is a one of a kind ability that felt largely underwhelming to put a point into. The level 1 effects didn’t bring much impact, making some Cernunnos players skip it for some time. By increasing the Scaling on Summer Heat and the Protection reduction from Autumn Decay, skilled Cernunnos players will be able to feel the impact of utilizing this ability well sooner into the game.

SHIFTER OF SEASONS
  • Summer Heat:
    • Increased Scaling 5% to 10%
  • Autumn Decay:
    • Increased Protection Debuff from 5/10/15/20/25 Reduced Protections to 10/14/18/22/26
    • Increased Duration From 5s to 7s
ODIN
Odin and Isis both had a similar rework cycle. Reworked to feel strong, got many many nerfs, and then since then we have been trying to buff them back into a healthy spot. While his ultimate punishes those who leave early, in situations where players can stay in the ring there isn’t much of a penalty encouraging escape. A consistent duration combined with a power reduction aura will bring Odin’s Ring of Spears to a similar use case as his old version, but with all the strengths of his rework.

RING OF SPEARS
  • Changed duration from 4/4.5/5/5.5/6s to 5s at all ranks
  • Enemies inside the ring now have their power reduced by 15%.
ISIS
Isis similarly gained a strong amount of utility, but after the nerfs it ended up feeling a bit lackluster. Rather than continuing to bring up her damage we wanted to bring some strength back to Dispel Magic. Isis will now have more control in the late game, with a stronger slow and shield to stay in the fight.

DISPEL MAGIC
  • Increased slow from 20% at all ranks to 20/22.5/25/27.5/30%
  • Increased shield health from 50/95/140/185/230 to 50/105/160/215/270

For the new god skins, head on over here.

The Goddess of the Salt Sea Bonus Update is set to drop on March 9. We’ll have the changes for that for you available then.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Update 1.61 February 23 Released for PUBG 10.3 Patch

PUBG Corp. has released the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update 1.61 February 23 patch on consoles, and this is for the PUBG 10.3 patch that was released for PC earlier! There are new features, bug fixes and more.

Head on below for the huge list of changes and new additions.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Update 1.61 February 23 Patch Notes (PUBG 10.3 Patch):

Hello Survivors,

Update 10.3 is here with an assortment of new features and performance upgrades including a new Weapon Sound Selection system, some lighting improvements for Karakin, and even the ability to emote with your teammates! Dive into the full patch notes below for details on everything new!

Weapon Sound Select System

We’re happy to be implementing the Weapon Sound Select System. This feature allows players to select between the original and remastered versions of certain weapon sounds.

Supported Weapons:

  • M249
  • M416
  • Kar98k
  • SKS

Select your preference from the Settings Menu, under the Audio tab.

Karakin Map Improvements

  • Karakin Lighting Improvements
    • Karakin has received lighting pass, improving overall lighting and giving each area it’s own unique feel and tone.
  • General bug fixes across the map to improve the player experience.
  • Overcast Weather
    • Added an overcast weather variant to Karakin, adding additional variety to the tone and feel of the map.

Kicking AFK Players in Training Mode

  • Much like in TDM, players who AFK in Training Mode will be removed from the session, with a 10-second warning prior to removal.
    • Players will receive a message after being kicked, to let you know why you’ve been removed.
  • Players who AFK in Training Mode after queuing for Ranked with our Dual Matchmaking will be removed from the Training Mode session, but remain in their Ranked queue.

Emote With Your Squad Mates

Certain emotes can now be used together, in sync with teammates! Emotes which support this feature are displayed with two characters in the emote image.

  • Sync-up your emotes with players within a 15-meter radius of your character or in the lobby on the main menu.
    • You can choose to stop emoting at any time, independent of the person who had initiated the emotes.
    • Free-look camera is supported while emoting in TPP only.
  • View each emote and the maximum number of players who can sync-up with you at once under Customization, Emotes, on the main menu.
  • You’re unable to use other interactions while emoting, such as vaulting or picking up items.

Improved Store Experience

  • Improved G-Coin messaging on purchases to ensure players understand the value of their G-Coin purchase.
    • Previously, any bonus G-Coin was bundled into one G-Coin total. Now, bonus G-Coin is also displayed as an independent figure.

  • Added Currency Filter
    • You can sort and browse the items by BP or G-Coin.

Season 10 is Soon Wrapping Up

Haven will only be around until the end of Season 10, enjoy the most out of it while it’s here!

Survivor Pass Schedule

Survivor Pass: Breakthrough comes to an end. You still have two weeks from that point to claim all your rewards and access the coupon shop.

Although, you’ll no longer be able to purchase or use Level-Up Tokens, purchase the Premium Survivor Pass, or complete missions from that date.

  • March 31, 7 PM PDT
  • April 1, 11 AM KST
  • April 1, 4 AM CEST

In regards to the Ranked Season schedule, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated with specific Ranked announcements.

Reputation System Update

The Reputation System introduced is one of our newest features, implemented in Update 10.2 and is designed to encourage positive player interactions within the community. We have received lots of player feedback so far and a common trend we’re seeing is that some players feel certain penalties are too harsh.

We hear your concerns and are making the following changes with Update 10.3:

  • Normal Matches: Exiting a match while in the starting area, prior to boarding the plane will NOT negatively impact your reputation.
  • Ranked Matches: You will lose reputation for exiting Ranked Matches, even if exiting while in the starting area prior to the plane leaving. There are some exceptions, which you can read below.
    • You can leave a Ranked Match up to 5 minutes after (but not before) the plane has taken off without losing reputation, in situations where matchmaking has provided you with a random teammate who has then exited the match.
    • Additionally, the same applies if matchmaking fails to provide you with at least one random teammate after queuing for Ranked Squads.

We’ll continue reading your feedback and make additional improvements in the future. Please, let us know your thoughts on these change.

Inventory Improvements Follow Up

With update 10.2, we introduced a new in-game inventory experience to help players navigate and manage their inventory more efficiently. After this, we collected feedback through continuous community monitoring and saw that some of you would still like to use features from the previous inventory system.

Based on this feedback, we’ve reverted some of the changes and introduced additional improvements. The changes are as follows.

Inventory Management Changes

Auto Tool-tip Popup Feature

  • The tool-tip pop-up feature will now appear after focusing on specific items after 2 seconds.

Changed the order of Key Guides

  • Repositioned the inventory key guide to prioritize buttons used alongside different actions.
    • General use buttons such as confirm/select/use are placed at the bottom, buttons used most often will be placed in the middle, and buttons used for specific actions are placed at the top.

UI Improvements

  • Modified unintended dark color settings, deleted some transparent backgrounds and changed the white tool-tip pop-up to a darker color.

Changed the Key Binding for quantity adjustment

  • Pressing D-pad left/right and R-stick left/right will increase/decrease selected items by one.
  • Hold D-pad left/right and R-stick left/right will increase/decrease selected items by one. However, once it reaches ten, it increases by tens.
  • Press/Hold D-pad up/down will increase selected items by ten.

Reverted the popup confirmation button

  • Reverted the pick-up/drop confirmation buttons to the same used before Update 10.2 (Xbox: A key/PS: X key).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the jump button (Xbox/Stadia: A button/PS: X button) to work simultaneously with the item selection button (Xbox/Stadia: A button/PS: X button) when the jump keybinding was changed.

Performance Enhancements

We have made multiple improvements to various pipelines and processes to improve overall performance.

  • Optimized the pipeline for lighting calculation methods to improve performance.
  • Improved CPU performance by processing both character animation and vehicle physics calculations in parallel.
  • Improved memory optimization of character models through memory cache optimization.
  • Improved memory and processing optimization cost.
  • Optimized CPU/GPU performance with improved character creation/deletion logic.
  • Optimizations have been made so that objects such as furniture and stairs, can be viewed normally while ADS even at medium/long distances.
  • Introduced Item Preloading
    • Objects load in faster when a player approaches them.
    • Reduced instances of hitching
  • Optimized memory resources to resolve a memory leak when match sessions are repeated.
    • The results from internal tests showed a reduction in the frequency of crashes when match sessions are repeated.

PUBG Labs: Zone tag

A whole new way to play PUBG is coming to LABS!

In Zone Tag, players will compete to gain and keep possession of a ball that spawns into the match. From this point on, the entire blue zone will center on the player holding the ball, bathing them in a pillar of light and following them until they are knocked and the ball is dropped. All players in that squad also benefit from an unlimited boost gauge! If not held by any player, the ball will seek an eligible target nearby or begin making its way towards Pochinki in the center of the map, dragging the Blue Zone with it until it is picked up again.

This mode is meant to be fast and furious, so land vehicles will spawn at every possible point on the map, are invulnerable to weapon damage and tire puncture, and provide players with unlimited ammunition while inside. Your gun will still have a capacity and require a reload when empty, but reloading it will not consume your ammo stockpile.

Once phase 6 of the game begins, the ball will disappear and the circle’s location will be set. From this point on, zone settings will be like any other match and squads will have to battle it out to be the last ones standing.

A few more quick notes on the rules; water, the small islands around Erangel, some generally inaccessible rooftops, and ferries are all no bueno. Entering one of these restricted areas will automatically detach the ball and players in these areas are not considered eligible targets for it to attach to. Players will also receive damage just by entering the water, so keep those boots dry as you plot out your route.

A detailed breakdown of the rules can also be found below. LABS: Zone Tag will be available from February 23 – March 1st for Console. This is something pretty different for us, so drop in and let us know what you think! Get the ball, fend off your attackers, and set up your own end circle to finish off any who remain in Zone Tag!

The Ball

  • The Ball spawns on a random player at the start of the match.
  • The Ball drags the center of the circle along with it wherever it moves.
  • The Ball grants special visual effect to the carrier.
  • All players in the carrier’s squad receive a full boost.

  • The player with the ball will be lit up by a pillar of light visible starting from 100m distance.
  • The Ball cannot be manually dropped or passed but will drop automatically if a player is knocked, killed, or enters a restricted area.
  • When not attached to a player, The Ball will slowly rise into the air for 5 seconds or until it is no longer blocked by a structure.
  • The Ball will then seek a new eligible target within 30m and begin to home in on them.
  • If no eligible target is found, The Ball will remain stationary for 15 seconds before it starts to move towards the center of the map.
  • A system message will appear for all players when The Ball is dropped or picked up.

The Circle

  • “The Ball” drags the center of the circle along with it wherever it moves.
  • There are still circle phases, which shrink the circle and increase damage.
  • At Phase 6, the Ball disappears and the center of the circle is locked until the end of the match.

Restricted Areas

  • Entering a Restricted Area will detach the ball and make players ineligible to receive it.
  • Restricted Areas include:
    • Small islands off the mainland
    • Inaccessible Rooftops and High Ground
    • Ferries
    • Water
      • Players who step into water with a ball will receive damage and have the ball detached.

Vehicles

  • Land Vehicles will spawn at every possible spawn point on the map.
    • Boats and the Motorglider will not spawn.
  • All vehicles are immune to weapon damage and cannot have their tires punctured.
    • However, we cannot guarantee damages from crashing into objects!
    • Spike traps are not spawned.
  • While inside a vehicle, reloading weapons will not deplete your ammo reserve.

Service schedule

  • Console: February 23rd – March 1st

Settings

  • Erangel- Sunny
  • TPP & Squad Only
  • Minimum number of players:  32
  • Maximum number of players: 100
  • The ball has blocked all access from bots. No bots will be available in this mode.

Notes when playing in LABS

  • LABS games do not provide XP for gameplay rewards.
  • LABS gameplay will not be applied to Career.
  • LABS gameplay will not count for your Survivor Pass missions.

Twisted Metal TV Series in the Works From PlayStation Productions and Deadpool Movie Writers

One of the original PlayStation’s popular game franchises is getting a live-action series to its name, as Variety has reported that a Twisted Metal TV series is in the works from PlayStation Productions and the writers of the Deadpool movie — which starred Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth.

According to the report, the upcoming series is described as an action-comedy based on an original take by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

“’Twisted Metal’ is one of the most beloved franchises from PlayStation,” said Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions. “We are thrilled to have such a great team working on bringing this iconic game to life for the fans.”

The show is about a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown named who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck, whom fans of the game will know as Sweet Tooth.

Twisted Metal is one of the PlayStation multiplayer franchises we would definitely want to see revived.

No word yet on when the Twisted Metal series is slated for release, but we can be sure to see updates on the production down the line.

Guilty Gear Strive Adds I-No to the Roster, Open Beta Testing Extended Until February 23

Looks like the newest iteration of Guilty Gear welcomes its newest fighter into the mix, as Arc System Works has revealed the newest fighter for Guilty Gear Strive in I-No — the time-travelling musician who makes her return as a playable character in the game.

Check out the new character trailer that was showcased during last weekend’s Japanese Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable event.

As the newest entry in the series that commemorates the franchise’s 20th Anniversary, Guilty Gear Strive will feature 15 fighters at launch — with more to be added for sure via DLC. The game is currently on the Beta Testing phase, and that has been extended to February 23 due to server issues.

Of course, this only applies to those already downloaded the Beta Test file in their respective systems. The Guilty Gear Strive Open Beta file has already been disabled as of February 21, so those of you looking to take a crack at the game will have to wait until the game releases in the next few months.

Guilty Gear Strive is slated for release on the PS4, PS5, Arcades, and PC on April 9.

Report: Here’s the Marvel’s Avengers New Heroes Order of Release

While Marvel’s Avengers fans already know that Hawkeye is set to be part of the roster next month, it looks like the order of heroes yet to be released has made its way out too. PlayStation gamers looking forward to playing as Spider-Man in the game, it looks like you’ll be playing as the wallcrawler soon.

Reliable Marvel’s Avengers dataminer Miller has posted an order of the Marvel’s Avengers new heroes’ order of release, and after Clint Barton (Hawkeye) next month, they are now saying it’ll be Spidey’s turn!

Few points of interests before confirming this 100 percent, this is all based from datamined info and whatnot, so nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix or Crystal Dynamics. Also, Miller states that they are 90 percent sure of the order:

If this is the case, then Spider-Man should be revealed soon, as Sony has promised an “early 2021” release for the character, which is once again, a PlayStation exclusive. Then again, the schedule for content for the game has gone out the window, so that early 2021 date could very well have been pushed back. As for Black Panther, Crystal Dynamics has already confirmed that they pulled back the reveal for the character due to Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death last year, which meant the character was supposed to have been revealed already.

If you want to see what Black Panther and War Machine looks like in-game, head on over here.

Operation Future Imperfect, whiich will feature Hawkeye, will be out on March 18 on all platforms. You can watch five minutes of gameplay showcasing Hawkeye right here.

Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak Gameplay Mechanics & Trailer Crawls Out

A whole new way of playing Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming later this week, as Treyarch has finally pulled back the curtains for Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak — the large-scale zombies experience the studio has teased for Season 2!

Before anything else, dive into the trailer below to see how it plays and then read up on the gameplay mechanics.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHBzHS87w6k&feature=youtu.be

Details, as posted on the official Call of Duty Blog can be found below in a nicely summarized version of their post.

Outbreak

This objective-based game experience will task squads of up to four Operators with aiding Requiem in their biggest undertaking yet: Operation Threshold. Set across multiple regions in the Ural Mountains of Russia, Outbreak encourages exploration and risk-taking to maximize the spoils of these zombie-infested territories, with teamwork and coordination being essential to completing your missions and living to tell the tale.

Operation Threshold – Requiem’s Gambit in Outbreak

Across “Die Maschine” and “Firebase Z,” Requiem learned just how far ahead Omega Group is in their arms race to harvest Aetherium – potentially an even deadlier secret war compared to the public conflict between the East and West.

After several desperate attempts to catch up to their adversaries, the CIA-backed international research group and task force have finally discovered a major breakthrough: the largest Outbreak zone on the planet.

Following this discovery, Requiem launched Operation Threshold, a multi-faceted campaign involving all of Requiem’s research departments. Already, Requiem’s Science and Military Research departments have identified three massive regions in the Outbreak zone to explore and investigate.

Even with this breakthrough, however, Omega Group is still one step ahead of Requiem, as they’ve begun investigating these regions long before Requiem arrived. Both sides not only believe the secrets waiting in the Ural Mountains to hold the key to fully understanding the Dark Aether’s power… it may just be the key to winning the Cold War.

The following objectives will appear during runs of the Outbreak objectives:

  • Defend – The goal here is to defend a zombie sample that is being extracted for research.
  • Escort – Protect a rover against hoards of zombies as it travels through the map in search dimensional portal. Once found, ensure it makes it through the portal in one piece.
  • Retrieve – Locate the two Aether harvesters and secure their canister of Aetherium Crystals to escort. Team work is an absolute must here as the carrier won’t be able to use their own weapons, though are equipped with a new field upgrade that emits a small blast to knock zombies back.
  • Eliminate – Find and locate the high value target for termination while dealing with waves of zombies.
  • Holdout – Similar to the classic zombie experience, this objective will have players fight against zombies in confined spaces. Board up windows and doors and survive until time is out.

Once you have successfully completed a mission you will then have the option to exil, which will begin the “last” step in the Ourbreak mission. You’ll be tasked with reaching a mysterious beacon where you will then make one final stand against more zombies, though some extra help is supplied such as a crafting table, arsenal for armor and upgrading weapons, Der Wunderfizz, and the iconic Pack-a-Punch machine. Extraction via helicopter will eventually become available, which will end the match and reward the players for their work.

However, there is another option available as a portal will also appear at the same time, letting players take it to another outbreak region. Rewards are increased, as with the level of difficulty.

As for what those rewards are?

  • Raw Aetherium Crystals – Requiem agents know this resource well. These are used to upgrade Skills for Weapon Classes, Field Upgrades, Perks, and Ammo Mods through the first three Tiers of power.
  • Refined Aetherium Crystals [NEW] – A more matured crystal structure. A greater energy source used to upgrade Skills to Tier IV.
  • Flawless Aetherium Crystals [NEW] – This is the highest maturity an Aetherium Crystal can reach. This incredibly powerful resource is used to upgrade Skills to Tier V.

That’s about it. Treyarch said that details regarding Tier IV and V upgrades coming to Zombies as part of Season 2 are going out later this week!

Apex Legends Update 1.59 February 22 Breaks Out (Update)

Respawn Entertainment has released a new Apex Legends patch today! The Apex Legends update 1.59 February 22 patch is out now on all platforms, and shouldn’t include any new piece of content given Season 8 just started a few weeks ago.

Update (2/22/2022): If you are seeing this on Google, there is an update for Apex Legends on February 22, 2022! Read up on it here.

Apex Legends Update 1.59 February 22 Patch Notes:

Update:

Respawn Entertainment has released the following announcement regarding today’s title update for Apex Legends:

No offical patch notes have been released just yet, but here are the new stuff resolved by Respawn Entertainment:

Note that this was announced on February 17 with the fixes and changes stretching out to February 19:

Heads up: The @PlayApex Anniversary Collection Event heirloom pack had a bug.

It unintentionally reset the “counter” that guarantees you get heirloom shards every 500 packs. Only people who opened the heirloom pack before 3pm PT on 2/10 were affected, as the bug was fixed.

We’re working on a hotfix to restore affected players’ “bad luck protection” counters to their proper count (including additional packs opened since the bug).

If the bug prevented you from getting rewarded on your 500th pack, you’ll receive a pack containing heirloom shards.

We’re also going to grant affected players 5 Apex Packs for their trouble. We’ll update when the fix has rolled out and we’ve confirmed that it’s working properly.

UPDATE: A fix has been rolled out for yesterday’s reported issues around the @PlayApex heirloom “bad luck protection” counter. Those affected have had their counters restored to the correct value and granted 5 Apex Packs for their trouble.

Also of note, over on the official Apex Legends Trello board, the latest “Resolved” issue is the item listed below, which was placed in the Resolved pile on February 12:

  • Legend Banter VO is not playing as intended.

So far, that’s all we know for this update. Once Respawn releasees the official changelog, we’ll update the post. Same as always, if you spot any gampelay-related changes or fixes, let us know what you find down below.

Update:

Respawn has finally acknowledged today’s patch for Apex Legends. We’ve updated the post accordingly.

Watch Dogs Legion Multiplayer Mode Release Date Is March 9, Season Pass Owners Getting 2 Unique SP Missions

Those looking to get real-world people involved in their hacking in Watch Dogs Legion, you’ll be able to do just that very soon! Ubisoft announced the Watch Dogs Legion multoplayer mode release date and it’s set for March 9!

In a press release, Ubisoft announced that this will be rolled out via a free game update, and has detailed the modes coming to the multiplayer.

  • Free-roam open-world co-op where players can team up with their friends for up to four-players and explore London, encounter city events, complete challenges and participate in side activities.
  • New co-op missions for two-to-four players using new co-op gameplay mechanics and giving players the opportunity to recruit the perfect team and fight back against London threats across the most iconic landmarks of the city.
  • “Leader of the Pack,” the first four-player co-op Tactical Op which will require teamwork and efficiency. It’s made of five interconnected narrative missions which are endgame content, made for players who are seeking a challenge. Players will need to strategize and communicate effectively with their teammates and ensure they’ve upgraded gadgets and recruited a strong cast of characters.
  • The first available Player-vs-Player (PvP) mode, Spiderbot Arena, where four players control armed spiderbots and compete in a high intensity free-for-all deathmatch.

In addition to the Watch Dogs Legion multiplayer mode release date announcement, Ubisoft has also announced that Season Pass holders will also get two unique single-player missions on the same day!

Guardian Protocol:

  • DedSec tracks an algorithm that could allow AI to override human decisions. If they don’t find it, it could be used to turn weaponized drones into autonomous executioners.

Not in Our Name:

  • A secret group is stealing DedSec’s name. Worse, they’re also stealing information so their employer, a ruthless tabloid owner, can use it to blackmail their victims.

Also announced, is that as part of the post-launch plan for the game this year, all players will have access to future free updates such as Invasion PvP mode, all-new co-op missions and free characters! Season Pass owners will also have access later this year to extra DedSec missions, “the Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline story expansion, new playable heroes such as Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments who possesses the mind control ability; Darcy, a member of the Assassin Order; Aiden Pearce and Wrench from the Watch Dogs franchise. The Season Pass of Watch Dogs: Legion is available for purchase as part of the Gold, Ultimate and Collector editions.”

Mark the date, hackers! The Watch Dogs Legion multliplayer will be accompanied by a patch that should also include gameplay fixes and more. Once it’s out, we’ll let our readers know.
