Modern Warfare & Warzone Update 1.26 Stealth Changes

Just a few days ago, Infinity Ward released the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 mid-season update (version 1.26) that brought in new content, and of course, gameplay changes. While the studio has released the patch notes, it seems there’s once again a bunch of hidden changes! Check out the Modern Warfare & Warzone update 1.26 stealth changes below.

Modern Warfare & Warzone update 1.26 stealth changes:

General:

Changes under general applies both to Modern Warfare and Warzone.

MP5 SMG:

MP5 seems to be zoomed in a bit more, though it’s barely noticeable. Check out the screenshots from Xlcusive Ace’s latest video talking about the changes:

Here’s an overaly of the MP5 to better understand the change:

AK47 Assault Rifle:

Infinity Ward changed the grip of the AK47 when using the RPK barrel. It now obscures the aiming reticle when you’re using iron sights! It’s practically unusable if you’re going with the iron sights with the RPK barrel attachment.

R90 shotgun:

Dragon’s Breath Rounds added to ammo choices. Players will need 10 slide kills with the weapon to unlock it, though the challenge seems to be bugged currently.

A new “Low Blow” medal has been added for getting kills while sliding.

Warzone:

  • Picking up a Satchel automatically gives eight armor plates.
  • Heartbeat Sensor held farther out than before.

That seems to be it so far. We think there’s more that’s just not discovered just yet. If you spot any, send us an email and we’ll check it out! If it’s legit, we’ll add it to the post

In other Call of Duty news, Black Ops Cold War has finally been revealed! Check out the reveal trailer here, with the multiplayer reveal coming on September 9! It will feature crossplay, cross progression as well, which you can read about here.

New Neverwinter Update 8.10 August 27 Patch Released on Consoles and PC

Cryptic Studios has released a Neverwinter update today for both consoles and PC! This should show up as the new Neverwinter update 8.10 August 27 patch, with the different platforms’ patch notes listed below.

New Neverwinter Update 8.10 August 27 patch notes (PS4):

Content and Environment

Avernus

  • Infernal Warmachine: Enemies required to complete this Heroic Encounter now spawn after players engage it, which should prevent the encounter from becoming stuck.
  • Mote of Virtue: If the player or party is defeated near the end, they no longer have a chance to retain the context-dependent power granted to them.
  • Players are less likely to be able to double-jump extra high from the jump pads in the Stygian Docks.
  • Various devils no longer incorrectly shout, “For the Nashers!”

Zariel’s Challenge

  • Ground targeting indicators for player powers should more consistently display in the combat area.
  • Visual improvements have been made to the environment.

Achievements

  • There was an issue with the way Doer of Deeds and Great Deeds were updated, that has now been resolved. They should complete based off of story milestones that roughly corresponded to the original Deeds system on log in. Doer of Deeds will complete based on the quest Back Up from Ebon Downs. Great Deeds will complete based on the quest Protector’s Emissary.

Events

  • The Summer Artisan has finally received the message that the Festival has ended, and is no longer available for event-based Profession tasks.

General

  • Barovia: Merchant Misery: The final wave of scarecrows finally spawns in a timely manner.
  • Characters in the certain story quests are less likely to talk over each other.
  • Ebon Downs: Foliage no longer incorrectly has collision.

Combat and Powers

Healing Adjustments

  • The visual effect indicators applied by the class mechanics “Mark of Divinity,” “Aura of Divinity,” and “Lifemark” have been removed and replaced by similar indicators that appear as part of the user interface now instead. This ensures that the indicators are always visible above the player’s health bar when it is displayed. Enabling the settings to hide all overhead information (found in Options->Interface->HUD) will hide the overhead healing mark.
    • In addition, a small version of the indicator is now visible in the party pane next to the marked target’s name.

Classes and Balance

  • Barbarian (Sentinel)
    • Raging Bladeturn now more clearly states that it does not add to the Deflect rating.
  • Warlock (Soulweaver)
    • The class feature “Dark One’s Blessing” now correctly states that it generates 60 soulweave, rather than 6 soul sparks. (Functionality has not changed.)
  • Wizard (Any)
    • Casting an AoE fire spell followed by an AoE ice spell now more consistently applies Rimefire Smolder to all appropriate targets.
    • Shard of the Endless Avalanche can no longer generate Action Points outside of combat.

Artifacts

  • Token of Chromatic Storm: The acid debuff no longer stacks when multiple players use this artifact power.

Companions

  • An issue has been resolved wherein some stats would be temporarily reduced when a combat companion was KO’d. As a result of this fix, stat contributions from bonding runestones should no longer be reduced when your combat companion is KO’d.
  • Grung’s Instincts: This player power now functions consistently with the Snow Leopard’s.

Item Powers

  • Infernal Forged Shirt: This item’s effect no longer allows players to gain Action Points outside of combat under certain circumstances.

Item Sets

  • Hellfire Engine: This set bonus’ buff tooltip text has been corrected.
  • Legion Guard: This set bonus no longer incorrectly provides stats to companions.

Enemies and Encounters

Avernus Zone

  • Infernal Warmachine: The spears fired by the machine now properly fire in the direction of the warning indicator.

Zariel’s Challenge

  • Zariel can no longer become stuck under certain circumstances.

Items and Economy

Companions

  • Spined Devil: This companion now properly bolsters the Mystical category.

Zen Market

  • Going forward, 20% Mount sales will also apply to Insignia Packs in the Supplies category. Mount coupons do not apply to this purchase.
  • Going forward, 20% Companion sales will also apply to the Companion Upgrade Pack in the Supplies category, as well as the Companion Upgrade Bundle in the Packs category. Companion coupons do not apply to this purchase.
  • Legendary Bonus Insignia Pack: The drop chance of a Legendary Mount from this promotional purchase has been somewhat increased.
  • The Refinement Pack on the Zen Market has been improved.

General

  • The Scarf of Embellishments can now properly be added to the Appearance library.

User Interface

Professions

  • When trying to collect an item remotely, the delivery fee prompt now shows the name of the item.

Vendors

  • When purchasing items in a batch, the count of purchased items is now displayed in the “Item Received” notification.

Audio

General

  • The Quasit companion should now be less obnoxious.

Performance and Stability

General

Nevewinter August 27 PC Patch Notes:

Items and Economy

Redeemed Citadel

  • A pack of “Zariel’s Favors” will no longer incorrectly appear in a player’s inventory when they are at or near the Zariel’s Favor cap.
  • The amount of Zariel’s Favor rewarded by repeatable quests has been increased as follows:
    • 50 > 120
    • 40 > 100
    • 30 > 80
  • Weekly Challenges: It is now possible to do both weekly challenges in a category each week. The user interface has been updated to reflect this.
    • Known issue: In French, German, Italian, and Russian locales, the text has not yet been updated.
  • Weekly Challenges: When completing a dungeon challenge, all players now consistently get the advertised amount of Zariel’s Favor.

Zen Market

  • The packs, “Fallen Apprentice’s Expedition Pack Essentials” and “Expedition Pack of Twisted Shadows Essentials,” can now be purchased on the Zen Market for a limited time, along with the other Expedition Pack Essentials.
    • The price of the Expedition Pack Essentials purchases has been lowered to 4500 Zen, down from 6000.
    • These packs are available for one week, starting 10:00 AM PDT (17:00 UTC) on Thursday, August 27th.

  • Prime Gaming Benefits: A GTA$200K bonus for playing this week, alongside a free Vespucci Canals Nightclub property, 70% off the Mammoth Avenger, and 75% off the Avenger Weapon and Weaponized Vehicle Workshops

Drive around and get behind the wheel in any of the Rockstar Created Open Wheel Races and earn Triple GTA$ and RP all week! Nine new tracks unveiled as part of the Los Santos Summer special:

Keeping Track

Forget racing 50-foot catamarans through the Vespucci canals. This season the Vinewood elite have jumped on the open wheel racing hype with a track in their own backyard. It’s an easy living. Just roll from your sun lounger into the cockpit and get ready for that first-place champagne.

Life’s a Beach

What’s more uncomfortable than being in an open wheel cockpit in a g-force inducing slipstream hurtling you hundreds of miles an hour on a twisting road that makes you uncontrollably seasick while dodging competitors as they crash around you? Doing all that with sand in your pants. Surf’s up.

It’s a Sign

The iconic Vinewood Sign means many things to many people. To some, it’s fame, fortune and making it big. To you, it’s reaching the finish line with your cranium intact. Get ready to drive so close you can kiss the V for luck.

Top of The Town

There are two ways to make it into the executive boardrooms of the Los Santos business district. Option one, nepotism. Option two, you get into an open wheeler and insert yourself right into the AGM, because nothing impresses the hiring committee like driving a race car through the 40th floor window.

Dam

Everyone knows the health and safety board are too strapped for cash to stress test The Land Act Dam. Maybe that’s why they gave a private company the rights to build a high-speed open wheel racetrack. Nothing will confirm its sturdiness like a dozen exquisitely fine-tuned ultra-performance machines smashing into the first corner.

Road to Ruin

The Los Santos freeway has an estimated 71 fatal accidents per 100 miles. We know what you’re thinking. Those are rookie numbers. Let’s see if we can’t pump them up.

Headwind

What’s the last thing an endangered bird sees as it cruises through a turbine at Ron Alternates Wind Farm? Once upon a time, the answer was “progress”. These days, it’s more likely to be an open wheel racecar detonating two meters to its left.

Morningwood Glory

How were the residents of one of Los Santos’s most affluent areas convinced to give their permission for a challenging open wheel race right through their neighborhood? Bribery of course. That and the fact no one mentioned it would take place 20 stories up and block all-natural light. Do the residents mind? Yes. Do the race organizers care? No.

Abridged

At last, the feat of engineering no one asked for: a road bridge over the Alamo Sea. And who is this great masterpiece for? Is it the much-needed infrastructure that will finally drive capital investment into the economically deprived area of Sandy Shores? Don’t be ridiculous. It’s a racetrack for dumbest 1% of the wealthiest 1% of BAWSAQ 100 CEOs. Welcome to progress.

Head on below for this week’s discounted items.

DISCOUNTS

There are a range of discounts on offer throughout Los Santos this week that benefit white-collar and blue-collar criminals alike, namely:

Watch Dogs Legion ESRB Rating Released, References Sexual Material

The Electronics and Sofrware Ratings Board (ESRB) has released the official Watch Dogs Legion ESRB rating, and for the most part, it’s what people expect. It has gotten an M (for mature) rating, which means it’s for 17 years old and above only

Read on below for the rating summary

Watch Dogs Legion ESRB rating and summary:

M – (Mature 17+)

  • Blood and gore
  • Drug Reference
  • Intense Violence
  • Sexual Themes
  • Strong Language
  • Use of Alcohol
Rating Summary
This is an action-adventure game set in futuristic London during the upheaval following a terrorist bombing. Players control members of a hacker group intent on resisting malevolent powers through a variety of means, including violence. From a third-person perspective, players explore an open-world environment while hacking electronic devices, using stealth to infiltrate/obtain information, and engaging in combat with enemies. Players use melee weapons (e.g., pipes, crowbars) and firearms (e.g., pistols, machine guns, assault rifles) to kill enemies; combat can be frenetic, highlighted by realistic gunfire, slow-motion effects, cries of pain, and blood-splatter. Cutscenes depict further instances of violence: a man shot in the head; a crime lord beaten to death by several people; a character stabbed in the neck with a scalpel. During the course of the game, players can encounter a human-organ harvesting operation where corpses are depicted lying on tables/slabs amid bloodstained rags, surgical instruments, and severed hands or feet. The game contains some sexual material: red light districts with sex shops advertising nude dancers and sex toys; missions/storylines referencing prostitution. As players explore the open-world, their character can drink alcoholic beverages, causing the screen to distort and the character to eventually pass out. Some missions involve drugs/drug running, or have players navigating locations that depict drug packages, scales, and other paraphernalia. The words “f**k,” “c*nt,” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.

Don’t forget to check out the most recent official gameplay released right here. We also posted details about multiplayer and permadeath from the most recent AMA session by the developers.

PUBG Update 1.50 August 27 Brings the MG3 and Other 8.2 Patch Improvements

PUBG Corp. has released a new weapon in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) today’s PUBG update 1.50 August 27 patch! This is called the 8.2 patch by the studio, and brings gameplay fixes, quality of life improvements and more.

PUBG Update 1.50 August 27 patch notes:

New Weapon: MG3

The latest weapon available in Battlegrounds Care Packages is the fast firing MG3 Light Machine Gun. With two different rates of fire, a bipod for stability, tracer rounds to help you keep track of your spray, and increased weapon damage to vehicles, there’s a new reason to fight over the big red box.

  • Spawns in Care Packages on all maps, in Normal Matches only.

    • Not currently available in Ranked Matches

  • The MG3 has two firing modes which change the fire rate between 660 rpm and 990 rpm.

  • Chambered for 7.62mm, holds 75 rounds and has a muzzle velocity of 820 m/s.

  • Tracer rounds are fired every 5th round, as well as for the final 10 bullets of each magazine, letting you know that ammo is running low.

    • Tracer rounds can only be seen by the shooter.

  • Supports optical attachments up to the 6x Scope.

  • MG3 does greater damage(x 1.25) when shooting at vehicles.

  • The MG3 has a bipod attached, deploying automatically when prone to greatly improve weapon stability.

New Throwable: Decoy Grenade

Disorient your enemies and cover your movements with the new Decoy Grenade. Available as world loot on Sanhok, the Decoy Grenade will make fake firing sounds for about 10 seconds after thrown, giving you a few moments to make your move.

The Decoy Grenade is a new throwable which mimics gunshot sounds. Purposely made to be used as a tactical item to distract and outwit your opponents.

  • Available only on Sanhok in Normal Matches, as a rare world spawn item.

    • Not available in Ranked Mode.

  • Decoy grenades can be cooked to reduce their detonation time out of the hand and are thrown just like other grenades.

  • Upon detonation, Decoy Grenades generate random gunshot sounds for 10 seconds and eject shell casings to add to the guise of real gunfire.

  • Beware, they’re not waterproof! Dropping one into water will disable its effects.

  • Decoy Grenades don’t currently spawn in Training Mode.

Gameplay

LMG(Light Machine Guns) weapon balance adjustment

  • Camera wobble of LMGs during prone has been reduced

    • There has been no actual changes made to the weapons. However, players will be able to shoot LMGs in prone more stably due to reduced camera shake.

  • New damage multiplier to vehicles has been updated to LMGs.

    • MG3: x 1.25

    • DP28 : x 1.15

    • M249: x 1.10

Weapon Remodel and Retexture

M416, SKS and Kar98k has been remodeled from scratch to high level of visual quality. Along with their visual update, weapon sounds of those weapons has been overhauled to match the improved quality.

  • To offer some more context on the gun sound changes included in this update, our goal was to increase the realism and quality of the sounds for the M416, SKS and Kar98k.

  • The Kar98k and SKS had their local and remote gunfire audio modified, this is both the sound you hear when firing your own weapon and when others fire theirs. For the M416, we were happy with the remote gunshot audio, but it wasn’t very recognizable as an M416 when compared to the local sound you’d hear when firing it yourself. So, we decided to completely update the local sound and leave the remote sound as is.

Care Package Updates

  • C4 has been added to Care Packages on all maps, except Karakin.

  • MG3 has been added to Care Packages on all maps.

    • The C4 and MG3 are not available in Ranked Mode.

World

Erangel Docks

  • Four docks have been added to Erangel.

    • Two docks have been added to existing wharves, one at Novorepnoye and the other at Ferry Pier.

    • The southern beach of the Erangel mainland and Sosnovka Island have also had docks added.

World update

  • All destructible wooden shacks have been replaced with concrete, indestructible shacks. This is a temporary change due to a technical issue with destructible shacks.

Quality of Life Improvements

Helmet Hide Function

Sometimes you just want to look good for YOU. For those moments, you can now toggle off your helmet to maintain your default costume pieces, even after you protect your noggin with a fine Level 3 helmet. This functionality is purely cosmetic, and other players will still see you with a helmet on, but you’ll at least get the satisfaction of enjoying your chicken dinner in full Alex the Dinosaur costume glory.

  • When Helmet Hide is enabled, your hoodie, hat or other head covering will remain visible even when wearing a helmet.

    • To all other players, you’ll still be seen wearing, equipping and otherwise interacting with your helmet.

    • This is a local visual change, only showing for players who enable it.

  • Helmet Hide is disabled by default. You can enable it in the Settings, or by clicking the option in the Inventory.

  • Equipable slots for Head and Helmet are now separated.

    • Equipping a helmet now won’t automatically drop your hat, or other cosmetic item in the head slot.

Performance

The Following performance improvements have been made.

  • Improved font loading process to reduce game stuttering/hitching.

  • Optimized the process for loading character data to reduce instances of stuttering/hitching and ensure a more stable framerate.

  • The item table is now preloaded on the client backend which results in items loading quicker.

  • Refactored the onscreen Key Guide widget to reduce potential instances of stuttering/hitching.

  • Improved the game from hitching when loading a character on the inventory screen.

  • Gained usable memory through weapon sound audio related optimization

Gotham Knights Gear Explained, Won’t Be a Games as a Service Title

Just this weekend, the gaming world was given a sweet surprise at the DC Fandome event, as WB Games Montreal announced Gotham Knights a two-player action game that featured the Bat Family (except Batman himself). Thanks to a new interview, we now know more about the game, which includes details on how the Gotham Knights gear work, and more.

Speaking to IGN Creative Director Patrick Redding and Senior Producer Fleur Marty talked about various topics, which included an explanation of how the Gotham Knights gear work.

Q: How do character skins work? Are they made up of individual pieces of armour, or full outfits?

Fleur Marty: “They’re a mix of all that.”

Patrick Redding: “So, just to be clear, when we talk about Gear, we’re talking about your melee weapon, your ranged weapon, and your suit, which has certain armor characteristics.

And then there’s your suit style – that’s the sort of ‘skinning’ of the suit. Because we didn’t want it to turn into just a random crazy quilt, what we’ve done is we’ve got distinct suit looks. And then within that there’s accessory variation that the player can tap into, and that way you get a chance to tweak it and make it exactly the way you like it.”

Given that we now know there are gear in the game, some might have assumed that Gotham Knights was a GaaS (games as a service) title like Destiny, The Divsion. Well, WB Games Montreal has put the kibosh to that, and states Gotham Knights is not a GaaS game.

Q: Is this a game-as-service?

Fleur Marty: “This is very much not designed as a game-as-service. There is an ability tree, which is different for each of the characters, and then there’s gear that you craft – and so choices that you’re going to be making – but that does not mean that this is a game-as-service.

Marty confirms that Gotham Knights is a self-contained story, that can be played entirely solo (you’re not going to miss anything if you go at it alone), which should please action fans not fans of GaaS titles.

If you haven’t seen it yet, go check out this eight-minute gameplay demo to make the wait for the game a lot harder.

Gotham Knights is heading to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC sometime in 2021.

Black Ops Cold War Campaign Will Let You Create Your Own Character

Earlier today, Activision finally unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War — this year’s entry into the mega franchise, and what seems to be Treyarch’s reboot of sorts of the Black Ops series. It seems the Black Ops Cold War campaign will also introduce something new to the franchise, and that’s letting players create their own character for the single-player affair.

According to CharlieIntel, there’s a Create-Your-Character menu that will let players choose their character’s gender, name, identity, back story and more. Players will be able to create a CIA dossier for themselves, and even redact or un-redact parts of the history they choose in building their character.

The way you choose or create your character will affect the voice overs, as well as the dialogue lines. As one might expect, this is purely a cosmetic freedom of choice given to gamers, and there’s no advantage to choosing  one over the other.

Will we see this spillover to the multiplayer? Given how we’re getting Operator skins, I’d say that’s highly unlikely. Speaking of multiplayer, the offical reveal of that will be on September 9! For those interested in getting the game for both current and next-gen, you might want to read up on this first.

PS5 Pre-order Registration Now Live, First Come First Serve for Invitees

Looks like Sony is gearing up to open the official PS5 pre-orders as they have begun a new campaign that allows sign-ups to be amongst the first to secure a PS5 pre-order.

In a now-live PS5 pre-order page, the company details that there will be a limited supplies of PS5 consoles once they go live at retailers for pre-orders. To help ensure that some of the demands are meet, they are hosting a special campaign that allows PSN users to register their username for a chance to be invited for the opportunity to pre-order their next-gen console first. Yep, you read right, Sony is giving it’s fanbase a chance to get their hands ona  pre-order before they actually go live at other retailers.

How do you sign up? Well it’s very simple, all you have to do is visit their official pre-order page here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2020/ps5-direct-pre-orders/

Easy enough. The company has also posted full PS5 pre-order FAQ for those who do happen to get invited, which you can read up below. Do note that you can only pre-order 1 PS5 console along with a limited amount of accessories.

Who will be selected to receive an invitation?

Our selection is based on previous interests and PlayStation activities.

When will I know if I’ve been selected or not?

If you are selectedwe will contact you via email before pre-orders start. If you do not receive an email, you were not selected.

If I receive an invitation, am I guaranteed to be able to pre-order a PS5 console?

No. Each invitation is open for a limited time and quantities are limited per PSN ID per transaction:

  • 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
  • 2 DualSense wireless controllers
  • 2 DualSense charging stations
  • 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets

PS5 console pre-order reservations will be first come first serve.

In order to pre-order, do I have to pre-order everything?

No. As long as your product selection falls within unit limits, you may pre-order as many or as few products as you’d like.

How long will I have to make a PS5 console pre-order reservation?

If selected, the expiration date and time will be included in your selection notification email and while supplies last.

Can I reserve more than one PS5 console pre-order?

Due to limited quantities and high demand, we will be limiting PS5 console pre-order reservations to 1 per PSN ID.

Will other PS5 products be available for pre-order?

Yes. Although these will be open to the general public for pre-order, only PS5 console reservations will be limited to those invited to pre-order.

What if I receive a “Sold Out” message?

All available PS5 consoles have been reserved.

I currently reside outside the US. If invited, can I still make a PS5 console pre-order reservation?

If you receive an invite and units are still available, as long as you ship to a US based address, your pre-order reservation will be allowed.

Any orders that contain a non-US based address will be cancelled.

Well, good luck to those who signed up, we know we sure as heck need it. The PS5 is launching this Holiday season.

Remnant From the Ashes Update 1.19 August 26 Brings Hotfix 249276

While Remnant From the Ashes players just got the last DLC “Subject 2923” expansion a few days ago, Gunfire Games has released the Remnant From the Ashes update 1.19 August 26 patch, and this brings fixes to a final boss, balance changes and more.

Note that the devs call this the hotfix 249276 for PC, and hotfix 249159 for consoles. Head on below for the patch notes.

Remnant From the Ashes Update 1.19 August 26 patch notes:

[ GENERAL ]

  • A multitude of various minor bug fixes.
  • Fixed issue with Root Rift interaction point being at the floor vs the expected center point.

  • Modified cinematics to show visuals for a weapon if the player already has it.

Hopefully, any other issues are ironed out in another patch. Or maybe a new content announcement would work too.

Marvel’s Avengers Accessibility Options Available at Launch & Being Worked on Revealed

For those who want subtitles in their games, or just curious what kind of accessibility options Crystal Dynamics has cooked up for Marvel’s Avengers, we have the list of Marvel’s Avengers accessibility options that will be available at launch, and even some of the stuff Crystal Dynamics has planned for release!

Check out the full list which touches on UI, gameplay, controls and more.

Marvel’s Avengers accessibility options available at launch:

SUBTITLES & CC

  • Subtitles: Marvel’s Avengers features subtitles in 15 languages, including: Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Traditional & Simplified), Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Iberian), and Spanish (LATAM).
    • Subtitles are turned off by default, but can be easily enabled via the Display menu.
    • Subtitle options include a presentation with white text, or one that color codes to each character (ex: Hulk = Green).
  • Closed Captions: We’ve not only added closed captions for sound effects, but narrative tracks for descriptive play as well! When subtitles are turned on, you will also see closed captions added to cinematics by default.

GAMEPLAY

Our gameplay customization options include:

  • Vibration: On/Off
  • Multi-Tap Interact Style: Default/Hold/Tap – This feature allows the adjustment of input requirements for interactions that require rapid button presses to complete, such as QTEs. Setting this option to HOLD changes the requirement to holding down the button. Setting this option to TAP will auto-complete the interaction with only a single button press.
  • Difficulty Options
    • Easy: This mode is mainly focused on the story by reducing combat barriers and it includes:
      • Decreased enemy attack and defensive strength
      • More enemy attacks are easily countered
      • No enemy attacks are unable to be countered
    • Normal: For those who like a balanced combat experience.
    • Hard (+5 Power): For those unafraid to take on a greater challenge:
      • Increased enemy attack and defensive strength
      • More enemy attacks are difficult to counter
      • More enemy attacks are unable to be countered
    • Brutal (+10 Power): For those looking to prove their worth by facing a considerable challenge
      • Significantly increased enemy attack and defensive strength
      • More enemy attacks are difficult to counter
      • More enemy attacks are unable to be countered

CAMERA

Our Camera customization options include:

  • Camera Sensitivity: Scaler (0-10) – Allows for the adjustment of camera movement outside of aiming.
  • Shake Sensitivity: Scaler (0-10) – We heard a ton of feedback on screen shake during Beta. and tested a slider option in open beta. If you want to keep the camera moving like a blockbuster movie – you can! Or, if you’re prone to eye strain or motion sickness, you can tone it down as desired.
  • Combat Camera Distance: Default/Wide/Close – If chaos of the battlefield makes it difficult for you to concentrate on the tasks at hand, adjusting the combat camera distance may help you focus!
  • Y Axis Flight Direction: For inversion of flight controls
  • X/Y Access Aim Sensitivity: Scaler (0-10) – Separate scalers that allow for adjusting aim sensitivity on both the X and Y access.
  • Target Lock: Manual/Off – This option adjusts the behavior of the camera during combat. When enabled it will keep the camera focused on the last target until the enemy is defeated, or until the camera is manually aimed at another combatant. We received some great feedback about this feature during the Beta, and have implemented some improvements for launch!
  • Targeting Assistance: Off/Light/Moderate/Heavy – This feature adjusts the amount of assistance applied when aiming at targets. We received feedback during the Beta that this could use some additional tuning, and we are looking into it!
  • Combat Camera Recovery: Off/Light/Moderate/Heavy – This option adjust the aggressiveness with which the camera returns to the default position/orientation after manual adjustment during combat. If you’re sensitive to sudden movements, this may help!

CONTROLS

Button Mapping: In a first for our studio, Marvel’s Avengers will have button remapping across PC and Console. This will allow players to use input devices and create control schemes that fit their individual needs!

HUD / UI

  • Menu Cursor Sensitivity: Low/Default/High – This feature allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the cursor within menus.
  • Text Chat: Currently we support Speech to Text and Text to Speech chat on Xbox via their Game Chat Transcription setting, and through the PlayStation 4 companion application PS4 Second Screen.

IN-GAME

  • Tactical Awareness: Triggering Tactical Awareness highlights points of interest, guides you to your next objective, and highlights AI or co-op companions. Hit this option if you ever need a reminder of where to go next!
  • Auto-Equip Best Gear: Our game has a huge array of gear and a deep customization options. If you are a fan of min-maxing your heroes, great! If you are new to this style of game or find the gear system a bit overwhelming and just want to get back to smashing, then hit the “equip best gear” button. While you will forgo customizing buildouts based on your favorite Gear perks or upgrades, we guarantee you’ll still have a ton of fun playing.

Outside of the massive list above, Crystal Dynamics has also shared the stuff they’re working on when it comes to Marvel’s Avengers game accessibility.

WORK IN PROGRESS UPDATES

  • High Contrast Mode UI: While we hoped to have this ready for launch, we lost a bit of production time in our transition to working from home. Our High Contrast UI is nearly finished – a feature that makes it easier to navigate our menus for low vision users or those who prefer simpler interfaces. We’ve got a few fixes left to ensure the feature is ready to roll out!
  • Subtitle Sizing Options: We received lots of feedback during Beta about options for adjusting the sizing of subtitles, and we’re already working on implementation! More information as we have it.
  • Motion Blur: Motion blur reduction was a common request during Beta. We toned down Motion Blur during combat as a result of Beta feedback, but are still looking into additional options for this feature – be it a slider or an on/off option. More news to follow!
  • We’re also in the early stages of evaluating some customization options that could help reduce cognitive load based on feedback from Beta. While work has

Outside of these options, Square Enix has announced a new War Table devstream for next week! Here’s what’ll be discussed there. Don’t expect reviews to drop on day one, as Square Enix has confirmed servers will go up only on September 1.

Black Ops Cold War Physical Upgrade to Next-Gen Not Possible With Xbox Version

Players looking to upgrade their physical copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to next-gen may want to know that this feature will only be available for the PS4 with  the Xbox One version skipping out.

According to the press release sent out by Activision, the only upgrade options that Xbox players will have will be the one to buy the title digitally through the cross-gen bundle. Meanwhile, for PlayStation owners who opt to go physical, they will get the option to upgrade (pricing yet to be announced) with a digital version.

  • Playstation 4 version will have an option to upgrade to PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PS5 version of the game.
  • Xbox One version CANNOT be upgraded to Xbox Series X.

We have to admit, this is a surprising exclusion, though seems to be becoming  a trend as Ubisoft recently dropped the physical version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for the Collector’s Edition on the Xbox Series X, and a few of their other titles. The box art for the Xbox version points out that the game is playable on the Xbox Series X, however it is the Xbox One version and includes no next-gen features nor support for Smart delivery. There will be a seperate Xbox Series X version that you can buy, just like the PS5 version.

It’s important to note that Call of Duty Ghost next-gen upgrade system worked similar, with retailers and Microsoft store handling a trade-in promotion that cost $10 for a next-gen physical version (Xbox One), with PS3 to PS4 being offered digitally. This most likely has to do with how Microsoft has set up their online services that may be preventing this type of system to exist on the Xbox One and Series X.

Don’t forget, upgrading Black Ops Cold War to next-gen will cost you an extra $10.

Black Ops Cold War Different Editions Detailed, Next-Gen Upgrade Versions Cost Extra $10

Following today’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal trailer, Activision has confirmed that crossplay and cross progression will be a feature fans can expect. Also announced today are the Black Ops Cold War different editions. Unfortunately for those asuming that you’ll be able to upgrade to the next-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X) versions of Black Ops Cold War if you buy the game on current-gen for free, that’s not happening.

Activision has announced three different editions for Black Ops Cold War: standard, Cross-Gen Bundle and the Ultimate Edition. Note all info are obtained from the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.

Standard Edition:

Description

Pre-order any digital edition and receive:

– Early access to the Open Beta – first on PS4™*
– Operator Frank Woods and an assault rifle Weapon Blueprint for immediate use in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and Call of Duty®: Warzone™**

Includes:

– Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War game
— Includes PS4™ version of game
— Plays on PS5™ via backward compatibility when it launches
– Confrontation Weapons Pack

Cross-Gen Bundle:

Description

Pre-order any digital edition and receive:

– Early access to the Open Beta – first on PS4™*
– Operator Frank Woods and an assault rifle Weapon Blueprint for immediate use in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and Call of Duty®: Warzone™**

Buy this digital PS4™ version of Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War from the Playstation®Store and download the PS5™ version at no extra cost when it launches.

Includes:

– Cross Gen Bundle of Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War game
— Includes PS4™ version of game and PS5™ version when it launches
– Confrontation Weapons Pack

Ultimate Edition:

Includes:

– Cross Gen Bundle
— Includes PS4™ version of game and PS5™ version when it launches
– Land, Sea and Air Pack
— 3 Operator Skins
— 3 Vehicle Skins
— 3 Weapon Blueprints
– Battle Pass Bundle (1 Season Battle Pass + 20 Tier Skips)***
– Confrontation Weapons Pack

As you can see, there is no way (for now) that you can buy the PS5 or Xbox Series X version directly for $60. You’ll need to buy the Cross-Gen Bundle if you’re thinking of double-dipping Black Ops Cold War on current and next-gen which is at $870.  This is the same thing 2K Games has done with NBA 2K21

I guess the logical step for die-hard fans is just to get the Cross-Gen Bundle so they can be sure to play Black Ops Cold War on current and next-gen, then? What will your move be?

Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Black Ops Cold War Reveal Trailer Shoots Out, Multiplayer Reveal Set for Sept. 9

After endless teases, and even a marketing stunt/ARG that lasted for over a week, we now have our first look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War reveal trailer and yep, it shows gameplay as promised

As previously reported, Black Ops Cold War is a direct sequel to the first Black Ops game and will take place during the 1980s. Down below you’ll find the trailer, which gives us just a small glimpse of what’s to come this November.

About Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty®: Black Ops.

Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.

As elite operatives, you will follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history. Descend into the dark center of this global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason and Hudson and a new cast of operatives attempting to stop a plot decades in the making.

Beyond the Campaign, players will bring a Cold War arsenal of weapons and equipment into the next generation of Multiplayer and Zombies experiences.

Welcome to the brink. Welcome to Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War.

This won’t be the only Black Ops Cold War news, as it has also been revealed from the teaser that we will be getting our first true look at the games multiplayer next month. Yep, you read right, sometime on September 9, Activision will be debuting the Black ops Cold War multiplayer which a lot of us shooter fans are excited for. We aren’t sure what to expect from this year’s iteration, but seeing that November is just a few short months away, we do expect to hear about the leaked Black Ops Cold War beta that’s supposed to drop sometime soon.

Speaking of multiplayer, a bunch of multiplayer info has surfaced yesterday, and it talks about the mini map, Dead Silence going back as a perk and more!
