Hyper Scape Update 1.20 October 6 Introduces Season 2

Ubisoft has rolled out the Hyper Scape update 1.20 October 6 patch, or otherwise known as the Season 2 title update! This brings a new weapon into the fold, modes and more! Head on below for the full patch notes.

Hyper Scape Update 1.20 October 6 Season 2 patch notes:

NEW FEATURES

new weapon – atrax

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 2.Screenshot ATRAX sm

The Atrax is a full-auto rifle which shoots sticky explosive projectiles.

The chemical projectiles from the Atrax will detonate instantly when hitting a Contender, but when hitting an environment surface, they will instead stick to it and detonate shortly after.

Any enemy target caught within the Area of Effect of the explosion will suffer damage and a short slowdown effect.

The Atrax is an efficient and versatile weapon, but it has a very limited magazine clip size, so watch your ammo count closely!

  • Damage Across Fusion: 20/22/24/26/29
  • Clip size Across Fusion: 5/5/5/5/5
  • Rate of Fire: 170 rpm
  • Explosion AoE: 4.5r
  • Slowdown Effect: movement -20% (0.75s)

new “limited time” hack – platform

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 4.Screenshot Platform sm

the platform hack will make its debut in hyper scape a little later in the season 2, as we introduce new Limited-Time Modes.

It will allow to deploy a small platform near you, to cross large streets of build temporary vantage points. Platform Hack has the shortest cooldown of all Hyper Scape hacks with a minimum cooldown time of 3s at full fusion! You’ll be able to create platforms easily but be careful as it is quite fragile, and any damage will destroy it.

  • Cooldown Across Fusion: 8/7/6/5/3s
  • Hit Points: 1
  • Effect Duration: 8s
  • Max Active Platforms: 2

Developer Notes: We decided to introduce the Platform Hack later in Season 2, and only in certain game modes for now. The return of the Magnet Hack (see below) already almost adds a new Hack to the game meta and that needs to settle in. We also felt it was better to try out the Platform in some of our Limited Time modes, like the upcoming Floor is Lava mode where it can have a particularly interesting impact.

magnet hack

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 6.Screenshot Magnet sm

The Magnet Hack is finally back! With the release of Season 2 we’ve fixed the sound issues related to the Magnet, which allows us to reactivate it now. It returns in the same state as it was in early Season 1.

  • Cooldown Across Fusion: 14/13/12/11/9s
  • Hit Points: 10
  • Max Active Magnet: 1

infinite slide event

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 8.Screenshot InfiniteSlide

The Infinite Slide is a new Game Event where the duration of all sliding movements become almost infinite, allowing you to slide for very long distance. While sliding feel free to shoot all around you 360-style! Challenge your squadmates to a slide-off!

  • Effect: Slide now continues after reaching the cruise speed, if uninterrupted.
  • Event Duration: 50s

player ranking system

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 9.Screenshot Ranking1

Season 2 introduces the first version of our new Player Ranking system which aims to bring a competitive edge to the community by allowing players to compare their Seasonal progress amongst each other. NOTE: This system does not affect matchmaking.

There are 6 ranks in Season 2:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Champion

At the end of each crown rush squad match you play you will receive a medal (Bronze, Silver etc.) based on 3 stats:

  • Final Match placement
  • Total Kills
  • Total Damage

You will start the Season Unranked until you have gathered at least 10 medals, then the system will kick in and your initial Rank will be calculated and appear, based on:

  • Your top 10 match medals in crown rush squad for the season
  • Your Average Kills in the season
  • Your Average Match Placement in the season

Your Rank will be displayed on your nameplate in game.

After your initial placement, you can continue to improve your rank throughout the season by getting better Medals or improving your average kills & placements. Whenever you earn a better Medal than one currently in your Top 10, the one with the lowest Match Score will be replaced by the new one.

For now, only crown rush squad matches will count towards player ranking. Limited-time game modes do not affect a player’s Rank as they feature game modifications that have a significant effect on the performance values that affect Match Score.

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 10.Screenshot Ranking2

The details of your Ranking can be seen after every match during the End of Match screen, and your player profile has also been upgraded with additional stats to support this system.

Developer Notes: This is only the beginning for the Player Ranking System, and we’ll continue to add features to it in the future. Please note that this first version will be a test for the system’s balancing which we might have to adjust & reset during the season if necessary.

daily gift

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 11.DailyGift

Every day, you can now collect a free daily gift within the Shop! Simply head to the Marketplace Portal located left in the Playscape HUB and select the Daily Gift tile in the Shop tab.

The Daily Gift will grant you various rewards that can range from Battle Points to level up your Battle Pass, to unique cosmetic rewards. As you collect Daily Gifts, there is also a progression towards a special gift which guarantees the drop of a special cosmetic reward. Each time you collect 6 Daily Gifts you will be awarded 1 Special Gift.

A new Gift is available at 1pm et / 5pm utc every day!

squad profiles & profile access

The Player Profile has been expanded to your current Squad as well. You can now access the Profiles & Stats at any time directly from the Social Menu, where you were already able to manage your Squad options.

  • squad profiles have been added in addition to your own Profile.
  • Profiles can now be accessed at any time from the social menu, not just in the Playscape HUB.
  • The following Player Ranking stats have been added in the Profiles:
    • Best Match Score
    • Current Season Score
    • Average Damage per Match
    • Average Eliminations per Match
    • Average Placement

challenge recap & menu access

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 12.Screenshot Challenges

The Challenge system has received several new features to expose it better and make managing challenges easier, even during a match.

  • There is now a challenges recap on the HUD in both the Hyper Scape HUB and the Lobby.
  • It is now possible to access the full challenges menu anytime during the match, from the Map (the map of the Hyper Scape HUB has been added to support this behavior).
  • You can Pin challenges from the Challenges Menu to control which Challenges you want to see in the HUD.

contender holograms

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 13.Screenshot ContendersHolograms

Up to Season 2 the large Holograms of Neo Arcadia had been only displaying Ultimate Grace. Now each game’s Match Leader will have their own Holograms, names & stats displayed during the match! (The Match Leader is the Contender with the highest elimination count at any given time.)

Also, in the Hyper Scape HUB the hosting Contender’s Hologram will now be displayed.

auto-sprint setting

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 14.Screenshot AutoSprint

Fulfilling one of our most frequently community quality-of-life requests, a new setting has been added to the Gameplay options to activate the Auto-Sprint function. Once activated you will always be sprinting when moving forward with no additional button presses necessary. Save your fingers!

This setting is Off by default.

instant melee controller layout

[Hype] [News] Title Update – v2.0 – Season 2 - 15.Screenshot InstantMeleeLayout

For Controller players, we’ve added a new control layout preset introducing Instant Melee action; it starts from the same configuration as the default layout with the addition of the direct melee button on Right Stick Click (R3).

Note the following changes as well:

  • Emote 3 is not accessible in that control scheme.
  • DPAD UP is used for the Ping.

Developer Notes: This is just a first layout preset giving controller player an access to Instant melee action; more presets with that option will be added soon.

GAME MODES PLAYLIST

Starting with Season 2, the format in which the Game Modes are available to play will change to offer a choice between a more competitive& ranked mode, and a more arcade one.

The crown rush squad tile is going to be the ranked mode (when you play in that mode you will earn ranking score). This mode will be present for the whole season.

The second game mode tile will offer a more arcade-oriented playlist that will rotate each week. Those arcade modes will not be ranked (they will not earn you ranking score) and will offer a less competitive experience.

  • The Season will start with faction war as the arcade mode, and then change each week during the Season.
  • Limited time modes will no longer appear as a third tile and are effectively replaced by the arcade mode rotation.
  • While this means a permanent solo mode will no longer be always available, it will be part of the rotation in the arcade playlist.

Developer Notes: The change here is to better manage our player community without splitting them between too many playlists at once. The goal is also to give a clearer game mode option for our more competitive players while also providing the Arcade area for those looking for less pressure in their experience.

WEAPONS

All the bullet weapons now have Damage Falloff (note: sniper rifle received this change in our last patch). The impact differs from weapon to weapon but overall, the intention stays the same: The goal is to avoid abusive long ranges attacks, not to make Damage Falloff a major parameter of the combat loop.

For multiple weapons also, the ADS has received a boost in term of Aim-assist both on PC & Consoles to reinforce its value vs. Hip-Fire.

dragonfly

  • Strongly Reduced Recoil.
  • Removed the FOV kick when firing with the weapon.
  • Damage Falloff: 150m+
  • Increased ADS Aim-assist.
  • Reduced Hip-fire Aim-assist.
  • Increased Bullet Spread in Hip-fire.

Developer Notes: The Dragonfly has received several improvements to make it more comfortable and efficient in ADS. Like for other weapons damage falloff has been added but the Dragonfly stays the weapon with the longest range after the Protocol sniper rifle.

harpy

  • Damage Falloff: 40m+
  • Increased ADS Aim-assist.
  • Slightly reduced Hip-fire Aim-assist.

hexfire

  • Damage Falloff: 100m+
  • Increased ADS Aim-assist.
  • Strongly reduced Hip-fire Aim-assist.

ripper

  • Damage Falloff: 100m+
  • Increased ADS Aim-assist.
  • Reduced Hip-fire Aim-assist.

riot 1

  • Removed the FOV kick when firing with the weapon.
  • Damage Falloff: 100m+
  • Increased ADS Aim-assist.
  • Reduced Hip-fire Aim-assist.

Developer Notes: The FOV change when shooting with the Riot 1 felt uncomfortable for several players, sometimes even creating motion sickness, it has been removed.

protocol v

  • Increased damage across Fusion to 60/64/68/72/80 (previously 50/55/62/70/80)
  • Damage Falloff: 200m+ (previously 150m+)

Developer Notes: Based on feedback from players we increased the base damage of the Protocol, to make sure you would be able to always eliminate an opponent with 2 body shots. We agree that having to land 3 body shots at low fusion level felt tedious. The maximum damage of the Protocol is unchanged.

mammoth mark i

  • Damage Falloff: 40m+

komodo

  • Min Range for Full Damage: 12m (previously 15m)

HACKS

mine

  • Activation Timer: 0.75s (previously 1s)
  • Projectile Acceleration: 7 (previously 6)

Developer Notes: This change should make the Mine more reactive and more reliable in combat.

reveal

  • Effect Duration: 8s (previously 6s)

GAME EVENTS

cooldown accelerator

  • Effect: Global effect that strongly decreases the cooldown of all hacks for the duration
  • Event Duration: 45s (previously 50s)

Developer Notes: The Cooldown Accelerator no longer requires players to pick up power-ups in the map. The Cooldown reduction is global and affects all players for the duration.

supply crate

  • Crates spawned by this Event are now permanent on the map until destroyed.

GAME MODES & SYSTEMS

crown bearer readability improvements

A series of feedback improvements have been made to the Crown to help Contenders chase the Crown Bearer and fight its Defenders teammates.

Crown Bearer

  • Improved contrast & readability of the Crown icon and timer over the bearer.
  • Improved readability of the off-screen Crown indicator.
  • Enemy Crown bearers still have a Gold outline however friendly Crown bearers now have a White outline (so it is clear they are not an enemy).

Crown Defenders

  • Teammates of the enemy Crown bearer are now revealed to all via a gold Reveal Indicator over their heads.

Developer Notes: We know coordinating with enemies to fight the Squad running away with the Crown is difficult. Those visual improvements should help identifying the right players to target. Making the Crown Bearer more visible will also help chasing it.

faction war improvements

Faction War has received a series of feedback improvements to unclutter it in term of UI and make Revives easier.

  • Unified the revive icons of faction mates & teammates.
  • Removed the “Ready for Restore” text from faction mates.
  • Added Range Indicator Numbers to faction mate Revive Icons.
  • Faction mate Revive Icons scale by distance.
  • Echoes no longer incorrectly see “Call for Revive” Icons for faction mates (they will still see squadmates’ though).

ammo

  • All Ammo Pouches now hold a normalized amount of ammo. Generally, all weapons pouches hold 5x reloads worth of ammo (at full Fusion clip sizes), with a few exceptions like Skybreaker.
  • The amount of ammo gained from ammo boxes pickups has been updated to give exactly 20% of each weapon’s pouch. This means it takes exactly 5 pickups to fill every weapon’s pouch.

Developer Comment: This change is more of a design cleanup and should not affect strongly the game experience.

default voice channel

  • The default voice channel was changed to “Party Only (Private)”. This will be effective for all newly created accounts (i.e. existing accounts will keep their current setting).

Developer Comment: This change is being done to reduce disruptive mic interactions for players who prefer to rely on the ping system to coordinate with random squadmates.

red skull indicator

  • The Red Skull that appeared in the center of the screen when eliminating an opponent has been lowered away from the reticle.

Developer Comment: This is another frequent community QoL request we are very happy to bring to the game with this patch!

locker items sorting

  • You can now choose how the items are sorted in your locker.
  • The following filters have been added to the default filtering:
    • Date Acquired – Most Recent First
    • Date Acquired – Oldest First
    • Alphabetical Ascending
    • Alphabetical Descending

various settings

  • You can now decide to display the distance on squadmate markers with the choice of three settings:
    • Always
    • On Screen Edge Only
    • Never
  • On keyboard, you can now remap the “Endorsement” button (i.e. congratulate a squadmate after eliminating an enemy).

BUG FIXES

weapons

  • Fixed an issue where full-auto weapons were sometimes able to shoot 2 bullets at once.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ripper’s muzzle flash VFX was not in-sync with the weapon’s Rate of Fire.

hacks

  • Fixed an issue where using the Wall hack under your feet after hitting a ceiling would spawn an invisible Wall.

audio

  • Fixed an issue where the audio went partially missing after getting pulled by the Magnet hack.
  • In Faction War, removed a specific bark that was repeated more than once during a short amount of time.
  • In Faction War, fixed an issue where you could hear other faction mates and not only your squadmates.
  • Fixed an issue where pinging a Restore Point with a squadmate currently using it wouldn’t play a bark.
  • Fixed an issue where Ultimate Grace barks were sometimes not playing during the deployment phase.
  • Fixed an issue where Ultimate Grace barks were sometimes not playing when entering a Lobby.

online

  • In Faction War, fixed an issue where some players were not transitioning to the victory screen after the last enemy Faction got eliminated.
  • On consoles, fixed an issue where players would lose voice chat functionality when entering then exiting the Ubisoft Club application.

ui

  • On PC, fixed an issue where rebinding the Ping button to something else than Middle Mouse Button would still show that same input on the Map.

Rogue Company Update 1.34 October 6 Sneaks Out (Update)

First Watch Games has released the Rogue Company update 1.34 October 6 patch, and this one is a mystery. Read on below for more details.

Rogue Company Update 1.34 October 6 patch notes:

Here’s the message from First Watch Games regarding today’s patch:

Rogues, you may have noticed a small update to your client this morning and are wondering what was in it. Recently we noticed an issue which was sending players to the wrong Region leading to potential poor network performance (lag) and not presenting what we want in the Rogue Company experience.

Next time you login to any platform, you will be prompted to select a region so grab the one closest to your physical location. We’re confident this should provide many of you an overall improvement and present the game as it should be played.

Remember you can change your region at any time in the Social menu by going in the settings or the Game Mode menu. Please let us know how your game is performing and if this helps!

Oddly enough, First Watch Games has not released the patch notes for this update yet, which is a surprise given they usually are on time with these things. The PS4 update history mentions that for this “0.50 hotfix,” players should visit the official Rogue Company site, which has nothing about this title update.

We’re keeping an eye out whether this included any gameplay-related changes or if this is more of a maintenance patch since the game did go free-to-play just recently.

If you haven’t downloaded it yet, it’s definitely worth a go (especially it’s free). Here’s a quote from our impressions piece on the early access version:

Overall, for a title that is its early access phase, it shows much promise. It runs great, the gameplay is addictive, and most of all it’s fun. Content will come over time, though if you are interested in early access it may be wise to wait until the free-to-play version is out. That’s not to say its bad, you may just end up being worn out by the time new content arises. It’s definitely worth a check, and if publisher Hi-Rez plays this right, it could potentially be the next big thing.

Once we know the full notes, we’ll update the post.

Update: We’ve updated the post with the official patch changes/fixes.

SMITE Update 11.56 October 6 The Trickster God Now Live

Hi-Rez Studios has released the SMITE 11.56 October 6 patch, and this brings The Trickster God update to the game! It’s called the 7.10 update internally by the devs, and should be live on all platforms as you read this. Head on below for the full patch notes.

SMITE Update 11.56 October 6 patch notes:

LOKI REWORK
Loki fans and haters alike, the Loki Rework is finally here! This trickster will have a mixture of familiar elements with some entirely new surprises to bring to the battleground. We focused on preserving the stealth Assassin feel his kit evoked, but removed many of the frustrations surrounding him. Enemies should feel more in control when fighting against a Loki, having options to counter his incoming damage with a larger window to react. Loki mains should however find an array of new abilities to use when it comes to Jungling and teamfighting. All this is tied together with stronger lore ties and a doubling down on his dagger mastery. Prepare to face his tortured past and try your best to dodge his flurry of dagger strikes once this god hits the battleground!
In the initial dev blog update we discussed our vision but also the need for us to continue to iterate through development and playtesting to find the right timings, balance, and tweaks that may be needed. To see where we started from and to give context on the changes below we encourage you to read the initial dev blog here : https://www.smitegame.com/news/developer-update-loki/
LOKI
GENERAL
  • Increased Basic Attack damage on the initial hit from 80% to 100% damage.

BEHIND YOU! (PASSIVE)
  • Behind You! now has additional interactions with Agonizing Visions and Flurry Strike.

VANISH
  • Loki will now fade into stealth quickly, rather than instantly.
  • If Loki takes damage while stealthed, he will now be revealed for .33s.
  • The audio for this ability has been adjusted.
    • Friendly Loki Stealth is slightly quieter.
    • Enemy Loki Stealth has an additional laughter component to help it stand out.

DECOY
  • Decoy has been removed and replaced with Agonizing Visions.

[NEW] AGONIZING VISIONS
  • Loki summons a vision of his tortured past at a target location for 4s. Enemies in range of the vision feel the poison themselves, taking damage and having their Damage Dealt reduced. This effect stacks up to 4 times. If an enemy gets 4 stacks they become Blinded, allowing Loki to benefit from Behind You! from any direction for 3s.
    • Damage : 13/18/23/28/33 (+10% of your Physical Power)
    • Damage Dealt: -5% for 2.5s
      • Notes: This ability will still body block enemies.

AIMED STRIKE
  • Aimed Strike has been removed and replaced with Flurry Strikes

[NEW] FLURRY STRIKE
  • Loki unleashes a flurry of 5 dagger strikes quickly in front of him, damaging enemies. After this flurry he winds up for a final heavy strike that deals higher damage and slows enemies hit. This ability can benefit from Behind You!

    • Final Damage: 40/65/90/115/140 (+60% of your Physical Power)
    • Slow: 30% for 3s

[REWORKED] ASSASSINATE
  • Assassinate has undergone a heavy adjustment in its functionality.
  • Upon activation, Loki teleports to his ground target location. If an enemy god is within the radius, Loki will slice that target doing damage and crippling them for 1s. After he teleports he will wind up a heavier strike, damaging all enemies in front of him and stunning them.
    • Cripple Damage: 70/105/140/175/210 (+35% of your Physical Power)
    • Heavy Damage: 100/145/190/235/280 (+90% of your Physical Power)
    • Stun: 1s
  • This ability has kept the teleport poof and warning sounds, in addition to new sounds to convey the buildup to the stun attack.
INCLUSIVITY ON THE BATTLEGROUND
  • October is LGBT History Month. To commemorate this we are adding a variety of LGBT flag avatars to the game. These will be given away via a free community event or available for direct purchase for 1 Favor or 1 Gem
    • Transgender Flag
    • Lesbian Flag

BALANCE LIVE WITH THE TRICKSTER GOD UPDATE OCT 6

Game Modes

As the fall season is upon us, so is the return of SMITE Adventure Modes! The team is fully focused on creating the brand new Season 8 Conquest map, so we won’t be bringing any new adventures out this year. We will be revisiting Classic Joust, Domination, and Corrupted Arena over the next 3 Updates. We are aware that Medusa’s Deathmatch is a fan-favorite, but the 3-team UI of this mode creates many problems in the game and is preventing us from bringing the mode back, for now.
  • The Classic Joust Mode has been enabled for this update!
  • It will only be available for play during The Trickster God update.

Items

ATALANTA’S BOW
This item was the target of a major rework in the Mid Season Update, with many players finding it to feel a little too strong. Mage ADCs took over the game for a few months, making it hard to see the impact of physical Hunters, but we can now finally see their strength. This item is the premier 20% Penetration Item for Hunters. Every damage class has one and we intend to keep this item at 20%, but the rest of the stats need to feel balanced to a high pen item, so we are taking the attack speed down as well as the movement speed from the passive.
  • Decreased Attack Speed from 30% to 25%
  • Decreased Movement Speed while attacking and Strafing from 40% to 30% of your movement speed

SILVERBRANCH BOW
The new Hunter meta build revolves around this item. As we continued with some careful Hunter nerfs, we are bringing the attack speed down on this item slightly to make the power gained from the passive less intense.
  • Decreased Attack Speed from 35% to 30%

GLADIATOR’S SHIELD REWORK
The loss of healing on Gladiator’s Shield has shaken the solo lane meta to its core. The shake ups were good, but the new item wasn’t. We are improving this item in a few more ways to stay true to its spirit as a damage option for tanks. Now the item will feature a fairly unique mechanic where it deals increased bonus damage based on PROTECTION scaling (not power scaling)! This should allow warrior’s to better itemize into a backline diving strategy.
  • Decreased Cost from 2500 to 2400
  • Passive
    • Changed Damage dealt from 15+2 per level
    • To 15 + 35% of your total PROTECTIONS from items magical + physical from items and abilities
    • Increased Bonus Damage activation threshold from 50% to 60%

EMPEROR’S ARMOR
We have been continually looking for support items that feel underwhelming, and we have some bigger plans in the future, but for now we have identified Emperor’s Armor as needing some help. This item can be a very strong pickup for the “true support” players especially in Conquest, and a little extra protections should make them feel a lot better about building into this item.
  • Increased Physical Protections from 40 to 50

HIDE OF THE NEMEAN LION
The New Hide scales with protections, preventing squishies from using it. However, the Protections scaling was a little too easily attainable, allowing tanks to get the stacks too soon or too easily. We are increasing the amount per stack required to slow this down just a little.
  • Increased Protections Required per block stack from 100 to 120

Gods

ANHUR
This Lion certainly won’t be cowardly next update. Anhur tends to stay low win-rate, even when pros are happy to pick him up in certain metas. One thing we have been hearing is that his movement ability feels a bit old and outdated. We are speeding this up to help it feel up to today’s standards

DISPERSE
  • Decreased setup time from 0.275s to 0.15s
  • Decreased leap time from 0.975s to 0.85s.
    • His leap is now quicker and he starts leaping more quickly
APOLLO
Get ready to put the moves on ‘em. Apollo is going to be styling with his dash being sped up in a similar way as Anhur’s leap. We are hoping these changes will breathe some life into some older hunters that certainly have potential to be in the meta.

THE MOVES
  • Decreased setup time from 0.2333s to 0.15s
  • Decreased dash time from 0.65s to 0.58s.
    • He travels the same distance in less time, and starts traveling quicker
ARES
The master of Arena continues to struggle in Conquest. For this buff we looked specifically at Ares’ underwhelming ability, and what he seems to lack for success in Conquest. We are adding some HP sustain to Bolster Defenses to provide Ares with some much needed recovery as well as make Bolster Defenses a more attractive ability to put a point into.

BOLSTER DEFENSES
  • Now provides 10/15/20/25/30 HP5 to himself and allies affected by the aura
ARTIO
This god is ever shapeshifting from meta to meta. With very few balance changes to the goddess directly, we have seen her rise and fall a few times. Certain pros have a preference for her, which certainly helps. We are reverting a nerf to her heal to empower her as a support, and make sure she feels like a viable duo lane choice.

ENERGY SURGE
  • Increase energy surge Heal from 40/60/80/100/120 to 60/80/100/120/140 per enemy god hit (revert)
BARON SAMEDI
The party is going to keep on going until Baron can successfully play the Mid Lane. Some recent small damage buffs have moved him in the right direction, but he’s not quite there. There are still a lot of incentives to build him hybrid or tanky, so we are looking to increase the Power Scaling on his primary damaging ability.

VIVID GAZE
  • Increase Magical Power Scaling from 60% to 70%
    • 69% to 80.5% when hitting both beams
FENRIR
Time to throw this dog a bone. Fenrir received some recent buffs that only made a small impact. The god has a very specific role in singling out and killing an enemy god with his Ultimate, which we are aiming to improve. Movement Speed gets heavily hit by diminishing returns when at such high numbers, so this change shouldnt be as huge as it may appear, but it will help Fenrir chase down his target more effectively. We are also partially reverting the rather heavy damage nerf to Unchained that resulted from the Fenrir Support meta.

UNCHAINED
  • Increased Base Damage 75/135/195/255/315 to 85/145/205/265/325

RAGNAROK
  • Increased Movement Speed Buff from 50% to 75%
HACHIMAN
Calling all snipers: Eagle Eye buff incoming. This is a unique ability which allows Hachiman to hit enemy gods with basic attacks from an unmatched range. The god used to see a lot of pro play and we wanted to be careful with his launch, so this ability was intentionally underpowered for a while. We are bringing it up to feel more impactful, hopefully keeping Hachiman in the hunter meta.

EAGLE EYE
  • Increased Bonus Damage for Under 55 Range 10/15/15/20/25 and Over 55 Range 0/5/5/10/15 have both been increased to 10/15/20/25/30 damage. This ability now deals the same amount of damage at all ranges.
OSIRIS
The god of the afterlife has fallen to pieces. Mid Season hurt Osiris more than most Warriors, and he is still struggling to catch up even with the strong Warrior items available. Osiris is known for his high pressure, so we are taking steps to improve that aspect of his design, and make sure it persists into the late game. Increased Damage scaling will give Osiris more reasons to build power, and a sizable increase to the range of his Ultimate will make him much better at chasing down enemies.

SICKLE STRIKE
  • Increased Physical Power scaling from 40% to 45%

LORD OF THE AFTERLIFE
  • Increased the max range of the leap from 55 to 65 units
SERQET
The queen of the SPL has fallen. For years this god was considered unbuffable due to her constant participation in competitive play. Recently we have seen her fall off more and more due to some direct nerfs a while back as well as meta shifts. Serqet, even at her absolute peak, usually fails to put up much win-rate, so these buffs feel safe to bring her back into the competitive scene, specifically by encouraging an aggressive high power play style.

AMBUSH
  • Increased Physical Power Scaling from 50% to 70%

COBRA’S KISS
  • Decreased Cooldown from 18s to 16s
VAMANA
This big guy has had a few recent adjustments to this movement speed rules during Colossal Fury. The previous movement speed was quite strong, and the current one is feeling a little too weak. The experiment with partial haste effects on Atalanta’s Bow seems successful, so we are trying that out on gods.

COLOSSAL FURY
  • Decreased the Movement Penalty for Attacking, Backpedaling, and Strafing by 20% while this ability is active.
POST PTS BALANCE CHANGES
ARES

BOLSTER DEFENSES
  • Increased Hp5 from 10/15/20/25/30 to 25/30/35/40/45

GLADIATOR’S SHIELD
  • Decreased Protections Scaling from 35% to 25%
LOKI

BEHIND YOU
  • Moved the backstab damage numbers 2D art up a few units to provide better visibility for Loki while attacking

AGONIZING VISIONS
  • Decrease Anim time from 0.3s to 0.1s

FLURRY STRIKE
  • Increase Base Flurry Damage from 15/25/35/45/55 to 19/28/37/46/55 per hit
  • This ability is now knock up immune

  • Loki will be banned from ranked for the entire month after his release

Bug Fixes

  • Gummy Worm Medusa
    • Fixed an issue where some enemies were turning to regular stone not rainbow gummy candy
  • Scylla Bug
    • Fixed an issue where the Living Death skin was using the default Scylla model
  • Bastet Bug
    • Fixed an issue where her passive duration was not lasting the full duration
  • Loki Bugs
    • Fixed an issue where Loki could fire his ultimate multiple times if jump action was spammed while firing
    • Fixed an issue where the Grim Mariachi skin was missing the proper blind color

As expected, Hi-Rez announced that a Bonus Update scheduled to be out in a few weeks’ time. Once we know more details about that, we’ll let our readers know.

New Apex Legends Update 1.47 October 6 Ushers in Crossplay & Aftermarket Event

Respawn Entertainment announced that Apex Legends will be getting a new event this week, and the patch for it is live now! The new Apex Legends update 1.47 October 6 patch brings crossplay beta, and the Aftermarket event! Head on below for the patch notes.

New Apex Legends Update 1.47 October 6 Patch Notes:

CROSS-PLAY BETA

Since the launch of Apex Legends, cross-play has been one of the most requested features from our players who want the ability to play with their friends on other platforms. During the cross-play beta, players will have full access to cross-play functionality while we collect data, test the feature at scale, and most importantly, listen to you, the fans, for feedback.

LTM – FLASHPOINT

Aftermarket delivers an all new limited time mode, Flashpoint. Played on Kings Canyon, all healing items are removed in favor of massive zones around the map that regen both your health and shields.

COLLECTION EVENT

Aftermarket brings in another 24 item collection event with skins like Wattson’s “Wired for Speed” skin or Wraith’s “Void Prowler” Skin.

EVENT PRIZE TRACK

With a new event, also means a new challenge track! This time around, get a chance to get free cosmetics like Bangalore’s “Blue Chipped” or the Hemlok’s “Performance Boost”.

NEW HEIRLOOM – CAUSTIC’S DEATH HAMMER

Caustic’s Death Hammer is the latest heirloom to be added to the heirloom pool. This nox filled hammer will smash anyone who comes in contact with it.

LEGEND META

Rampart

  • Increased the rate at which Sheila’s bullet spread tightens

Bloodhound

  • Updated Bloodhound’s tactical cooldown while ultimate is active from 6 seconds to 8 seconds.Dev Note: The 6.0 changes have been extremely powerful for Bloodhound. Their ultimate is now truly a moment you should fear as the enemy. We think we might have gone a little far with 6s. Against a competent BH, there would only ever be 2s during which you’re not scanned. Changing it to 8s means you’ve got 4s of being revealed and 4s to reposition in between pulses.

Pathfinder

  • Grapple cooldown is now based on the distance Pathfinder traveled. The shortest possible pull has a 10s cooldown; the maximum cooldown is still 35s, but you’re going to have to swing a very long distance to get there. Have fun out there, friends!

    Dev note:
Pathfinder mains rejoice, the Outlands happiest robot is getting some love. Instead of dropping grapple cooldown back to 15s where it was before, or moving it to 25s as a compromise, we considered a player suggestion (thanks Reddit) to have the Grapple drain energy as it goes, similar to Titanfall 2. The difference here is we’re looking at your full distance traveled: from the moment you leave the ground to when you’re on the ground again and not sliding at crazy high speeds. What this means is two things:
  1. Bad Pathfinder players, no longer need to fear the faceplant grapple quite as much. If you’re not going anywhere, you’re not incurring much of a cooldown.
  2. If you’re really really good at Pathfinder and looking for the absolute max distance grapple, you’ll still have a 35s cooldown, assuming you land it. This both buffs Path a little less for the scariest robot players out there and it also opens up room for extra skill expression: can you find useful short distance grapples that’ll give you a shorter CD but still do something good for you? Looking forward to seeing what you all do with this one.

Wraith

  • Updated Wraith’s sprint animation.

    Dev note:
Wraith is a very challenging Legend to nerf. We look at Legend performance across a number of axes: how often trios with this Legend on them win games / place highly, how often this Legend gets knock downs vs is knocked down, how often this Legend is picked. Across each and every single one of these axes, Wraith dominates.

And yet each time we hit her abilities (which we’ve done a lot) she bounces back within a few weeks without bleeding a lot of pick rate. Her kit is uniquely useful both in solo games and in highly coordinated games. Also she’s just really cool. We get it.

We don’t want to hit her abilities anymore. We think both she and Pathfinder have been pushed to the edge in terms of cooldown and utility nerfs where pushing them any further would make them a lot less fun to play. We don’t want that!

So we started looking at other Legend specific things that could give her this power–and discovered that her sprinting animations are unique in how much they artificially shorten her (by hunching over), thus shrinking her shootable area from the perspective of the enemy. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but taken together with her already small hitbox, it’s a lot of power.

This patch, we’re introducing a new set of sprint animations for Wraith. These are much more upright and expose a larger area of her body to gunfire. Now we know her old sprint was iconic and we hate to see it go as well, but we believe this is the best way by far of bringing her in line without having to hit her abilities again. Depending on what we see after these animations go live, we may even be able to put some power back into her abilities (no promises though).

As always, we will be listening to feedback and monitoring data on this change.

Crypto

  • Crypto’s Drone can now open loot vaults if Crypto has a key in his inventory. It consumes the key as usual.

Loba

  • Increased range of ultimate & passive from 3100 units to 4500 units.
  • Loba now starts the match with her ultimate half charged.

WEAPON META

Devotion

  • Increasing hipfire spread at a base level and also increasing the spread added while firing.

Spitfire

  • We try to keep hipfire numbers consistent with similar weapons of the same class. So, the hipfire spread increase on the Devotion is also being applied to the Spitfire. To compensate, we are reducing horizontal recoil on the Spitfire.

Triple Take

  • Reduced fire rate from 1.4 to 1.3.

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Loot Prompts now show how much damage an evo shield has accumulated, so you can make a better decision when switching.
  • You are now able to switch to same-level armor that has less health, if it is closer to evolving.
  • Loot Prompts will now have a small indicator that lets you know if your teammate needs this item, so you can ping it!
  • Performance Display is a new option that activates a panel that appears in the top right corner of your screen during a match.
The data displayed is as follows:

    • FPS – Frames Per Second, or how quickly your game is rendering frames
    • Latency – The time (in milliseconds) it takes for your game client to communicate to the server and back
    • Loss – Indicates the percentage of packet data lost per second on its way to or from the server
    • Choke – Indicates the percentage of packet data congestion on its way from the server
    • In/Out – The amount of data being sent from/to the server

If you’re noticing persistent issues while playing, this display may help you (and us!) identify what’s going on. The Performance Display can be enabled or disabled at any time from your Gameplay Settings menu.

  • Anonymous Mode has been added to the options. Anonymize your name in the champion presentation, obituary, and other locations of living opponents.
  • Level 0 Evo Armor will now appear as empty in the inventory, so you can ping to request for Armor
  • There are more banners placed around World’s Edge to better support Cryptos ability to see nearby squads in his drone.
  • Out of Bounds – The out of bounds timer no longer refreshes each time you enter a new out of bounds area. The timer is now a fixed amount of time: 30 seconds. If you enter new out of bounds areas, the timer will steadily decrease. However, if you only have 5 seconds left, the timer will keep refreshing up to that 5 second mark.
    • This should work against people exploiting the timer, while still allowing time for people to get down if they land up there.
  • Random Favorite selection added for Music and Loadscreen categories
  • Holo Sprays will now remember which players liked them, and will display a count to the owner. This also prevents other players from spamming “like” on the holo spray.
  • Legend Tokens have been minimized to a tool tip in the lobby. Hover over your currency to see your amount.

BUG FIXES

General

  • Added the ability to ping the satellite dish at Crypto’s Map Room from the dropship.

Gibraltar

  • Fixed an issue with the bubble shield looking white in certain conditions.

Lifeline

  • Fixed an issue with the “Guardian Angel” Skin having a stretched neck when using Sheila.
  • Fixed an issue where care packages would not be allowed to be placed on certain parts of Capacitor, Rig, or Salvage in Kings Canyon.

Caustic

  • Fixed Caustic barrels from being placed at an angle on shipping crates.

Mirage

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Mirage decoys from being pinged.
  • Fixed an issue that did not allow Crypto’s drone to highlight decoys.

Octane

  • Fixed a visual issue that removed Revenant’s shadow form from a player after jumping off an Octane Jump Pad.
  • Fixed an issue with the Jump Pad clipping into the ground in certain areas

Crypto

  • Fixed an issue with his drone not detecting Wattson’s Security Fences.
  • Fixed an audio issue with survey beacon sometimes making very little sound when using it as Crypto’s drone.
  • Fixed an issue with his drone not taking damage from directly below.

Revenant

  • Fixed an issue with the HUD of the Replicator staying on screen when the totem effect wears off.

Loba

  • Fixed inconsistencies with teleporting onto a supply ship.
  • Fixed an issue allowing teleporting into drills around Lava Fissure.
  • Fixed an issue preventing teleporting on certain terrain in Staging.

Rampart

  • Fixed an issue with doors closing when dismounting a placed Sheila in a doorway.
  • Fixed Amped Cover from floating in the air when placed on a supply ship.
  • Fixed an issue with being able to place Sheila on loot bins.
  • Fixed an issue with Longbow DMR, Triple Take, Mastiff and Sentinel not always receiving the Amped Cover buff.
  • Fixed an issue with Amped Cover being able to be placed at bad angles around the map.
  • Fixed an issue with the Amped Cover not being destroyed by the initial blast of Charge Rifle.
  • Fixed an issue with bullets getting amped before they cross the amped wall from certain angles.

L-Star

  • Fixed an issue with overheating occurring when firing a single shot from the weapon multiple times.

While there are new items to collect and a big balance patch included in this title update, the biggest thing here is crossplay. Hopefully, this doesn’t run into any issues, though we’re expecting it.

Taco Bell Xbox Series X Commercial Is All About Halo Infinite

In part of their promotional Xbox Series X sweepstakes, Taco Bell and Microsoft have begun airing a brand-new TV commercial, which spotlights the upcoming Halo title, Halo Infinite.

Originally debuting their the NBA finals this past weekend, the commercial down below is a mix of live action and CGI and features the voice of none other than the Spartan himself, Steve Downes.

A pretty good commercial if we say so ourselves, though some may find it odd that the company is currently using Halo Infinite in its campaign, mostly because the title was delayed back in August. Of course these promotions were planned well before that announcement, so it makes more sense that they would still use them despite Infinite not being available at the Xbox Series launch. This can be seen in the other Halo Infinite promotion, snackonwithXbox, where fans can purchase certain marked snack foods in order to receive timed exclusive cosmetics for Infinite.

Still, it does make us a bit sad to see that Halo Infinite won’t be here come November, but I guess we’ll just have to settle with whatever material they give us in the meantime. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be releasing on November 10 for $499 and $299 respectively.

Mortal Kombat 11 News Coming This Week, Game Now at Over 8M Units Sold

While Mortal Kombat 11 fans have gotten skin packs and new fighters all throughout the game’s lifecycle, it seems we’ll be getting some fresh Mortal Kombat 11 news this week!

Over on Twitter, NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boone teased this announcement by also mentioning that the game has now crossover eight million units sold!

Will we be getting new fighters? New costume packs? Or something else entirely? Perhaps it’s connected to the datamined voice pack for the 1995 movie that we reported previously? Once we know more details, we’ll let our readers know.

Mortal Kombat 11 was released last year in November 19 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

EVENT PRIZE TRACK

NEW HEIRLOOM – CAUSTIC’S DEATH HAMMER

Caustic’s Death Hammer is the latest heirloom to be added to the heirloom pool. This nox filled hammer will smash anyone who comes in contact with it.

LEGEND META

Rampart

  • Increased the rate at which Sheila’s bullet spread tightens

Bloodhound

  • Updated Bloodhound’s tactical cooldown while ultimate is active from 6 seconds to 8 seconds.

Dev Note: The 6.0 changes have been extremely powerful for Bloodhound.

Once the patch is out tomorrow, we’ll be sure to let our readers know ASAP.

Black Ops Cold War Weapon Charms Confirmed Along With Mountain Dew & Doritos Tie-In

In possibly the least surprsing news of the week, weapon charms will once again be available in a Call of Duty game. Thanks to a marketing tie-in with Mountain Dew and Doritos, Black Ops Cold War weapon charms are confirmed to be in the shooter.

In addition to weapon charms, players can once again redeem 2XP vouchers by purchasing Mountain Dew and Doritos products! Players can redeem their promo codes via the dewanddoritos site, where players can get weapon charms and animated emblems too.

According to a Reddit post, the first code you submit to the website gets the player a weapon charm and an animated emblem, with others giving unspecified rewards for now.  Are any of the news reported here surprising? Hardly. But at least it’s confirmed that gamers can binge on Doritos and MTN Dew and get some in-game Black Ops Cold War stuff.

In other Black Ops Cold War news, the beta is kicking off this week for PS4 gamers! Head on over here to see the latest trailer released.

Evzen Peripheral Maker Dissects DualSense to Develop PS5 Paddle Controller

With the PS5’s release fast approaching, third-party peripheral makers are hard at work in providing alternative accessories for gamers. For those looking for PS5 paddle controllers, one company is already working on it, and they are Evzen.

On Evzen’s social media accounts, the company announced that they are studying the DualSense controller in order to make paddles for it.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Evzen Elite Technology (@evzenelite)

Not only that, but the company also showed of a dissected DualSense controller too! Check out the images in the gallery below.

Of course, it shouldn’t take long for companies like SCUF, Evil Controllers and the like to have PS5 paddle controllers or bumpers available in the market. For those not aware of these controllers, they are tournament-approved, and are also used by pro players since it lets you jump, crouch and more without lifting both thumbs from the analog sticks.

For Xbox Series X, new paddle controllers won’t be a problem as the Xbox One controllers (and the Elite Controller) will work with the Xbox Series X and S.

In other PS5 news, skin grip thumbsticks for the PS5 are also on the way, and here’s our first look.

Payday 3 Re-Confirmed as in Development With Overkill and Starbreeze

Publisher Starbreeze and developer Overkill have re-confirmed that Payday 3 is in development. The game will be the first entry to the series since Payday 2 launched in August 2013. This is an important release for Starbreeze in particular, as it could make or break them as a company. The news came via a post on the official Payday 2 Twitter account. It seems to be very encouraging for fans of the series.

There’s really not much to look at in this tweet. It confirms that the game is being built in the Unreal Engine, presumably Unreal Engine 5, and that it’s in the design phase. At this point the developers are probably looking at putting maps together, building weapons, and making each match feel fun. Part of what makes Payday 2 so enjoyable is that feeling of being a criminal, but it’s the balance of the combat and overarching objective that makes it addictive. It’s also unlike unlike anything else out there.

Starbreeze needs Payday 3 to pay off for them. The company filed for reconstruction two years ago, and they’ve still not fully recovered. This is a process the company has had to go through in order to avoid bankruptcy. If they don’t manage to release a profitable game soon though, it could all be over for them. Their hopes are in Payday 3, a game which could attract a huge number of players, as Payday 2 did. Currently there are no games confirmed for next-gen consoles that offer anything close to what the Payday series does in terms of unique gameplay. If the game launches within the next year, then it could save the series from annihilation.

Called Ghost of Tsushima: Legends,” Sony has today announced the Ghost of Tsushima Legends release date and it’s set for October 16! Read on below for more info along with the trailer.

The Legends update is tagged as Ghost of Tsushima update 1.1, and will be released as a free title update.

Alongisde the new multiplayer mode, there’s the introduction of New Game+, and there’s even a Raid coming soon, too! Read up on the official info below.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends features two-player story missions and four-player survival missions, as well as a Raid that we’ll release in the weeks following launch. After you’ve downloaded version 1.1 of Ghost of Tsushima, you can visit the PlayStation Store from your PS4 to download a free unlock for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which will allow you to play. Keep in mind that an internet connection and an active PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play with other players.

There’s also a new character in towns appearing as well! Gyozen the Storyteller!

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

Once you have version 1.1, you’ll notice a new character at various towns and locations in Tsushima… Gyozen the Storyteller! He’s heard the rumors about the Ghost of Tsushima, but he has a different perspective about what’s actually happening in his homeland. Gyozen is the author and gatekeeper of the stories you’ll find in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and when you talk to him, he’ll be happy to share one of his transportative stories about the “Ghosts.”

Speaking to Gyozen will give you access to the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends lobby, but you can also get there directly from the title menu or the pause menu… or by accepting a PSN invitation from a friend!

Ghost of Tsushima Legends will feature multiplayer classes! Yes, this is a full-fledged multiplayer mode! Here’s a look at the classes coming.

Classes

In Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, you’ll be able to pick between one of four classes. Each one has their own unique advantages. When you start Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, after a short tutorial, you’ll choose which class you want to unlock first. As you rank up, you’ll unlock each of the remaining classes.

In addition to each starting with their own unique ability, each class can unlock an alternate ability as you progress, as well as earning class-specific Charms and ranged weapons.

While playing with friends, you can mix and match classes however you’d like, whether that’s a party of four all playing the same class, everyone playing as a different class, or any combination in between.

Samurai

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

Samurai players can run straight toward combat and stay there, sustaining their health while chopping enemies down left and right. When you’re overwhelmed, use the Hachiman’s Fury ultimate attack to slash through enemies in a flurry of strikes.

Hunter

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

As a Hunter, you can stand on the edge of combat and snipe enemies before they even see you. You can also use explosive arrows to slow down groups, and when the combat gets really fierce, the Eye of Uchitsune ultimate attack will unleash multiple arrows straight at your enemies’ heads.

Ronin

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

Ronin players can revive their entire team with the Breath of Izanami ultimate ability. You might play Ronin because you want to help your human friends… or you might do it because the Ronin class is also able to summon a Spirit Dog. (And yes, you can ABSOLUTELY pet your Spirit Dog!)

Assassin

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

If you prefer doing massive damage with a single attack, you’ll love the Assassin. The Shadow Strike ultimate attack will allow you to teleport across the battlefield and directly strike your enemies. If that’s not intimidating enough, wait until you see the terrifying masks the Assassin gets to wear!

Story Missions

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Story Missions are designed for two players, and take you through Gyozen’s stories about what’s really happening in Tsushima. When you unlock higher difficulties, you’ll face new encounters, tougher enemies, bonus objectives, and greater rewards.

Survival Missions

In Survival, you can team up with three other players to fight off waves of enemies while defending different locations in Tsushima. You and your team can activate blessings to help yourselves, like “ignite enemies” or “summon a Spirit Bear.” The longer you survive and the more bonus objectives you complete, the more rewards you’ll earn!

Raid

You’ll need all your skill, top-tier gear, and a great 4-player team to be able to survive in Iyo’s realm! The Raid is an epic three-part adventure that will require excellent teamwork and communication to overcome. It will be released in the weeks following the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.

Outside of the new multplayer component, Ghost of Tsushima’s Photo Mode will also feature new updates.

Ghost of Tsushima - Legends

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends also has a few features you’d expect from Ghost of Tsushima. Our robust Photo Mode is still present here (as long as your teammates opt in) and you’ll be able to show off all the new masks, armor, and emotes you’ve earned.

For those not interested in multiplayer, the single-player portion will also be getting new stuff as well. There’s a New Game+ and even new Trophies to earn!

New Game+

If you’ve already beaten Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll find the option to re-embark on Jin’s Journey in New Game+. You’ll start New Game+ from the release to the open world, shortly after Jin’s initial confrontation with the Khan. You’ll keep all of the Techniques, Gear, and Vanity items obtained in a previous playthrough, and difficulty will be increased to provide a new challenge (but you can still adjust it down in the menu).

You’ll also find yourself with a brand new New Game+ horse, which features a vibrant red mane and unique saddle. There are also new, extremely powerful Charms available that can help Jin unleash devastating attacks and may change the way you play. You’ll also be able to unlock an additional upgrade for your sword, bow, and armor.

We’ve also added some new Trophies for playing Ghost of Tsushima on New Game+, which will appear in a separate section of your Trophy list and do not count toward Ghost of Tsushima’s Platinum Trophy

Ghost Flower Merchant

Ghost of Tsushima - New Game Plus

Exclusively in New Game+, you’ll be able to earn a new type of flower: the Ghost Flower. This new type of flower can only be earned in New Game+, and is accepted by a mysterious new merchant that you’ll find in Ariake. If you complete a Tale or activity and already have the reward, you’ll earn Ghost Flowers in its place, so even if you’ve completed JIn’s journey before, it’s still exciting to explore Tsushima once again to collect as many Ghost Flowers as you can.

You can exchange these flowers for new armor dyes and other vanity gear only found in New Game+, featuring much more elaborate designs than those found in your first playthrough.

Other Features

Once you’ve installed version 1.1, you’ll now find the option to enable Armor Loadouts, which allow you to assign all Charms and vanity items to each armor set to quickly swap between loadouts to match your playstyle and roleplaying preferences.

Ghost of Tsushima - New Game Plus

Now this is one hefty update! Once this patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. Given how much we loved Ghost of Tsushima, this multiplayer mode has us definitely excited.

If you haven’t bought it yet, go check out our review here to find out why it’s in the running to be our Game of the Year.

Skin Grip Thumbsticks for PS5 Controller Revealed on Skull & Co. PS4 Product Page

If you play shooters a lot, or just want higher than usual analog sticks, chances are you’ve used thunbstick skins/extenders that give added reach to your fingers. Given we’re about a month away from the PS5’s launch, it looks like third-party products for it are making its way out, and this includes skin grip thumbsticks for the PS5 controller, the DualSense.

Grip thumbstick maker Skull & Co. has posted an image of a black DualSense controller featuring the thumbgrips on the PS4 thumbgrips page.

While Sony hasn’t confirmed it outright, we are assuming that the DualSense and DualShock 4 thumbsticks are the same, so these grips should slide over as easily as it did for the DualShock. We should be hearing more third-party items for the PS5 (and Xbox Series X) make its way out as we approach each console’s release this November.

In other PS5 news, new hands-on impressions of the next-gen console has revealed more details! Early reports state that the fan is super quiet, which should please PS4 owners.

Halo Infinite Kicks Off “Snack With Xbox” Promotion, Includes DLC Exclusive for 3 Months

Gaming companies tying up with other products to market a game isn’t anything new, and it seems Microsoft is kicking this up a notch with the upcoming Halo Infinite!

Microsoft has launched the “snackonwithxbox” website that features the products tied with Halo Infinite, and what some of the exclusive DLC gamers can get by buying the corresponding product tie-in. Here’s an image of the products currently taking part in this promotion as well as where the code is located in the said product.

Note that there is a three-month exclusivity period for the in-game items, and yes, it has accounted for the game’s delay!

Halo Infinite’s release has recently been shifted to 2021. Any Halo Infinite in-game content redeemed through this promotion will be available/usable when the game is released and the three month exclusivity period will begin as of the release date of the game.

As one might surmise, the DLC items in shown are purely cosmetic in nature, and doesn’t seem to affect gameplay at all, which is a good thing for those not interested in purchasing any of the items.

Halo Infinite will make its way out sometime in 2021, and its multiplayer has been confirmed to eb free-to-play and will ru at 120fps (frames-per-second).
