While Resident Evil Requiem just released less than two weeks ago, the latest entry in the horror franchise has already proven itself to be quite the hit for Capcom.
With that in mind, the development team has now made an announcement that should make a lot of Resident Evil fans happy, as a new story expansion for Requiem has just been confirmed.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the director of Resident Evil Requiem Koshi Nakanishi thanked fans for Requiem already hitting five million copies sold.
As part of the clip, Nakanishi confirmed that a Photo Mode update is slated to be rolled out, as well as a “surprise” update in May that will add mini games to Requiem.
If that wasn’t enough, Nakanishi then went through a bunch of slides by hand until he reached the end that confirmed a story expansion (DLC) is in the works for Requiem. The game director says it is in development, though it will take some time, and asks fans to be patient.
Nakanishi says this expansion will “delve deeper into the world of Requiem.” No details were shared outside of that, so this expansion could feature our protagonists once more, or even someone new.

For those unaware, today is “Mar10 Day!” Nintendo had plenty to share about our favorite plumber, from a new trailer for the upcoming Mario Galaxy movie to new classic Mario game releases and even a new LEGO set.
But they weren’t the only ones with the announcements, as Turtle Beach has also announced a new Mario-themed Rematch controller.
Following the massive success of Battlefield 6's launch last year that saw the game become the #1 best-selling premium title in 2025 (yes, even beating Call of Duty), it seems that isn't enough, as the developers behind the first-person shooter are the latest studios hit with layoffs.
The Dynamic Duo Jump Their Way to Turtle Beach
Oh, and would you look at that, it glows in the dark too!
Simply called “Mario & Luigi,” the new Switch and Switch 2 colorway for the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controllers is now available for pre-ordering via the Turtle Beach website. The controller itself is listed at an MSRP of $64.99/£54.99/€64.99, with a target release date of March 30, 2026.
But that’s not the only surprise Turtle Beach has for us: they’ve also announced a new color option for their Airlite Fit Wired Gaming Headset for Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s quite the looker.
The “Mario Star” colorway is launching the same day as the controller, March 30, 2026, and will retail for MSRP is $27.99/£19.99/€24.99. It’s currently available for pre-ordering.
Have to say, for being considered a budget headset, that new colorway design certainly comes off as something you would see from a premium offering. Sure, it’s a wired mic, but that design is just too good to pass up on.
All of this is coming right before the movie drops, too, so if you’re thinking about it, it might not be a bad idea to grab one before they sell out.
Both Mario & Luigi Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller and Mario Star Airlite Fit Wired Gaming Headset for Nintendo Switch 2 launch on March 30, 2026. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie theatrical release will follow after, on April 1.
Enjoying Bungie's Marathon? Given that it is a live-service game, players can expect a ton of updates to hit the game, and the first one is due this coming week.

As expected given Bungie’s maintenance on Destiny 2’s servers, game update version 9.5.5.5 is now out on all platforms, and this is a minor patch that was issued to fix a specific bug.
Console gamers will see this as Destiny 2 update 3.92/1.003 (complete version 1.187.000), and this should be a small download across all platforms.

Skate Season 3 Complete Breakdown of New Content
New Features
Isle of Grom skate.Premium Pass Access
Visit the new Ferry Terminal in Blue Light Beach to take the Wet N’ Mild Taxi Co. boat to and from Isle of Grom. For more details about Isle of Grom, visit our Season 3 article.
Dark Catches and Darkslides
Darkslides and Dark Catches are a fan favorite, returning from previous Skate games with some new improvements. Getting into a Dark Catch is done by holding RB/R1 before or right after performing any flip trick (including Impossible flip tricks from Season 2). Landing into a slide on a rail or ledge while holding a Dark Catch will start a Darkslide, which can now also be leaned and grind adjusted. When exiting, you can Flip Trick out to get some pop with it, or lean exit to ride out smoothly. You’ll also find a few new settings to control when and how Dark Catches and Slides are released. Visit Skatepedia for more information about these new tricks.
Developer’s Note:After getting the foundational mechanics into a good place, we’re excited to add Darkslides and Dark Catches to skate. Similar to our approach with most legacy mechanics, we wanted to ensure Darkslides and Catches feel familiar, are integrated with other new additions to the franchise—such as flip speed control and grind leans—and have been expanded upon to provide more self expression.
Tasks
Expanded and diversified Tasks, including new varieties that can be completed conveniently while skating.
Developer’s Note:We received feedback that some of the previous Tasks were too difficult or tedious to complete. In response, we’re introducing a wider variety of Tasks designed to complement your skating experience, rather than dominate it.
Party Collision
This feature allows you to collide with others in your party while skating together, adding to the chaos (and fun) of your seshes. Party Collision is disabled by default, but can be enabled in the Settings tab of the Social menu.
Developer’s Note:You may experience collision accuracy and timing discrepancies when using this setting. We hope you enjoy this chaotic, but fun, new way to play with your party, and look forward to your feedback.
Character Customization Options
4 new Hair and 5 Tattoo options have been added to the Character Customizer.
Developer’s Note: 32 **additional Tattoos can be acquired from Missions, the Skate Paddy’s event, the skate. Pass (Standard and Premium), and the new Essentials Shop.
Skater Presets
You can now configure up to 3 unique Skater Presets, including appearance and clothing. Additional preset slots can be purchased for 250 San Van Bucks. Maximum 10 slots.
Store
Up to 5 Product Boxes can now be bought in a single purchase, making your transactions more streamlined.
An Essentials Shop was added to the Store, with options for Tattoos, Boards and more.
Gameplay Improvements
Bonelesses
Improved responsiveness, reliability, and behavior of Boneless tricks performed from the ground or transitions. This change also applies to Fastplants and Bean Plants.
Developer’s Note:We needed to make some large changes to how Bonelesses were originally implemented in order to improve their consistency and quality. A side effect of these underlying changes was the removal of some Boneless-specific “pop glitches.”
Seasonal Missions
Some Missions are now only available for the duration of the season they release in.
Replay Editor
Added an Effects Tab that lets you control Exposure, Color Temperature, Color Saturation, Barrel Distortion, and Vignette (Opacity, Size, Sharpness).
Added more granular volume control over your skater’s audio, other skaters’ audio, and world ambience.
Playback speed can now be keyframed as well.
Developer’s Note:Pair the Barrel Distortion effect with a wide Field of View to get that classic Fisheye effect you know and love.

Player Status
A status communicating whether you’re in an activity, menu, or away has been added to the Social and Spectate menu.

With Xbox has been releasing games on competing platforms for the past year, some gamers might be thinking this is a signal that the brand is moving away from the console business entirely.
The long-promised multiplayer mode for Ghost of Yotei is finally here with the release of a new game update on March 10 that adds the Legends mode that we first saw in Ghost of Tsushima.
PS5 gamers will be able to download Ghost of Yotei update 1.510 (complete version 1.510.000) today.
Shinji Mikami is known as one of the most important figures in the history of video games.
For the complete details on what to expect, read on.
Ghost of Yotei’s Multiplayer Legends Mode Now Out via Update 1.510
Overview
Four classes
Multiple difficulty modes
Unique cosmetics
2 and 4 player online co-op
Face the demonic Yōtei Six
It’s a Mythic Tale spin on the Yōtei Six
“The Yōtei Six are bosses, warlords, that haunted Atsu’s story. Legends is a retelling of that way later; years, even centuries after the fact. A lot of the details have washed away. These big characters have been exaggerated. Instead of fighting powerful warlords, you’re fighting 15-foot demonic bosses. It makes enemies a suitable challenge for multiple players.”
WWE 2K26 is just around the corner and is currently in Early Access, and 2K has now shared new information about how Community Creations will work in the game, especially for players on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation platforms.
Like the single player story, the Yōtei Six have followers you must face as well
“Each boss has a faction of enemies that come with them. That includes sub-bosses that are different for each [of the Six’s domains] and are themed around the abilities of the boss, so they all connect. So for example, the Kitsune has an elite soldier called the Snow Woman, who has frost and cold abilities. The Snake has a summoner.”
Different Classes help you face different challenges, but you can play your way
“We want to give players different roles they can play into, to be able to complement each other, and you can split and focus on different enemies based on the weapons you have. But if you all want to play, say, Samurai, then you can and will be able to solve all the challenges put in front of you. But each Class has a focus weapon. So for instance, the Samurai has the Odachi, the Archer, the Yari. The Mercenary has dual katanas. The Shinobi has the Kusarigama, Some of their tech tree builds toward that. Some of their gear is based around that. But they’re not limited to those exclusively. They can use other weapons too. We also have things like quick fire weapons, so some abilities that are on cool down.
“Each class has their own tech tree, so there is build crafting based on the gear you unlock and the abilities you unlock and choose.”
Four difficulty levels let you decide how fast (or challenging) you want your XP gain to be
“Every mission is replayable and there are four difficulties: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. As you play those, you’ll face different enemies, different challenges. The higher difficulty you play, the faster you’ll earn XP, the faster your character class will advance, and the better loot you’ll get based on.
“There’s recommended gear levels for each difficulty. So if you are kind of signing up for a mission that is at a higher difficulty that your gear level is set too. We’ll give you a warning, but we’ll also say, “hey, go for it”. Some folk want to slowly move their way up the difficulties. Some want to jump into the highest difficulty unlocked and struggle. That’s great. We support both of those approaches.”
More on the mode’s different mission types…
“Story missions have you dealing with these legends as told by the storyteller, who is narrating the events as you play through them. There are two player story missions, while Incursion missions are the culmination of that. There’s one Incursion for each of the four bosses available in the launch version – The Spider, The Oni, the Kitsune, the Snake. Story missions are themed around them, then you enter their domain in four-player Incursions, fight your way to them and ultimately face off against them.
“Survival is a four-player, area and wave defense type of mode. Four missions, each themed around one of the bosses. Each mission has you defending three locations. Each has a unique blessing and curse. So if you hold an area, you could activate a blessing to, say, summon a spirit bear, or activate fire spirits to attack enemies. But if you lose your hold, a curse activates… So now you have a shadow bear that will hunt you down and attack. So it leads to the matches being really dynamic.”
Raid
“The Raid launches next month in which you’ll face the last two of the Yotei Six, the Dragon and Lord Saito.*** It’s four-player, hardcore content: you actually need four players to complete it. You can’t do it with fewer and you want to have players that you can communicate and coordinate well with. We view this as the most co-opy co-op. The rest of the Legends missions are co-optional. We provide opportunities for you to work together, but we don’t ever want to make it a blocker. This though? This is for four players. Mark my words. You cannot win without four players.”
If Sucker Punch releases a proper changelog that includes fixes applied to the single-player, we’ll update the article with the info.

These are the fixes confirmed by Ubisoft for today’s patch:
Fixed – Gadgets can block vault prompts.

Music is an important part of video games, whether it plays during fights, cutscenes, or while exploring the game world. However, using music in games also involves licensing rules, especially when those games are sold through large digital stores like Steam.
Because of this, the British music rights organization The Performing Right Society (PRS) for Music has announced legal action against Valve Corporation. The group claims that music used in video games sold on Steam has been distributed without the proper license.
Even though Steam holds a dominant position in the PC market, Valve continues to improve it.
PRS for Music Sues Valve Over Music Rights in Steam Games
This complaint does not concern games developed by Valve itself, but rather all games available on the Steam platform.
PRS stated that Valve has “never obtained a licence for its use of the rights managed by PRS on behalf of its members, comprising songwriters, composers, and music publishers.”
The organization also warned that the legal dispute will continue unless Valve agrees to resolve the issue.
PRS explained: “The litigation will progress unless Valve Corporation engages positively with discussions and takes the necessary license to cover the use of PRS repertoire, both retrospectively and moving forwards.”
The case may seem unusual because many games on Steam are not created or published by Valve. Titles mentioned by PRS include well-known series such as Forza Horizon, FIFA / EA Sports FC, and Grand Theft Auto, which are published by companies like Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Rockstar Games.
However, the legal situation in the United Kingdom is complex. The license required to include music in a video game is separate from the license needed when that game is downloaded or streamed by users.
According to PRS documents, some digital stores use a “General Entertainment Online Licence,” the same type of license used by streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Netflix.
PRS also noted that it has previously reached agreements with companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for the use of protected music in games and related downloadable content in Europe.

This is the biggest patch we’ve received for the game to date, and hopefully, Team Ninja isn’t done yet.
In recent years, PC gamers have been eating well, as not only have they enjoyed the benefits of Steam's super-low prices, but they have also been able to experience Sony's first-party games — albeit a year late.
Embark Studios has released the latest game update for ARC Raiders on March 10, and this brings new cosmetics, a short list of important fixes tied to the game’s economy and more.
Console gamers will see this download appear as ARC Raiders update 1.000.028, with the patch appearing as version 1.19.0 on all platforms once installed. You’ll see this developer version number on the main menu screen once applied.
Following the massive success of Battlefield 6's launch last year that saw the game become the #1 best-selling premium title in 2025 (yes, even beating Call of Duty), it seems that isn't enough, as the developers behind the first-person shooter are the latest studios hit with layoffs.
For the complete list of changes made, read on for the patch notes.

The God of War spin-off title Sons of Sparta has seen its second update be released today, and it applies another set of fixes.
Players on PS5 will see this download as God of War: Sons of Sparta update 1.006, and this brings fixes to quest/progression blockers, Pit Challenge Mode balance changes and more.
Sony is clearly far from finished with the God of War franchise, with several projects currently in the works, ranging from a TV show for Prime Video to a heavily rumored 2D metroidvania that would return to Greece, drawing inspiration from games like Blasphemous.

Shinji Mikami is known as one of the most important figures in the history of video games. He created the original Resident Evil and directed the iconic Resident Evil 4, but he has also worked on titles such as The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
Following the massive success of Battlefield 6's launch last year that saw the game become the #1 best-selling premium title in 2025 (yes, even beating Call of Duty), it seems that isn't enough, as the developers behind the first-person shooter are the latest studios hit with layoffs.
Shinji Mikami Returns With a New AAA IP for PC and Consoles
Unbound is an independent Japanese studio led by Shinji Mikami, who serves as the representative director. The team also includes experienced developers such as Masato Kimura, who previously worked on Ghostwire: Tokyo, Hi-Fi Rush, and more.
According to information on the studio’s website, Unbound is currently working on a completely original AAA game built with Unreal Engine 5. The project is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms.
The studio was founded in May 2023, only a few months after Mikami left Tango Gameworks. At the moment, the team has around 50 employees, but the plan is to expand to about 150 developers in the future.
The company describes itself on its website by saying: “We are a newly established, fully independent company, developing high-end consumer games, and creating original AAA titles.”
Masato Kimura has also shared a few early comments about the project. Kimura explained: “I can’t give away any details yet, but it’s a AAA title for high-end consumers. However, to be honest, it would be difficult to do the same kind of work in Japan as overseas AAA titles, which require hundreds of billions of yen and hundreds of people working for five to seven years to create.”
Kimura added: “We’re aiming for AAA quality and AA content, which is why we’re creating a title that offers a rich gaming experience and allows you to be completely immersed in its world.”
For now, the project remains a mystery. As more information about the project becomes available, we will be sure to keep you updated here at MP1st.
With Xbox has been releasing games on competing platforms for the past year, some gamers might be thinking this is a signal that the brand is moving away from the console business entirely.
Following the massive success of Battlefield 6’s launch last year that saw the game become the #1 best-selling premium title in 2025 (yes, even beating Call of Duty), it seems that isn’t enough, as the developers behind the first-person shooter are the latest studios hit with layoffs.
The layoffs affect all of Battlefield Studios, which consists of DICE, Ripple Effect, Criterion and Motive Studios.
Do you feel Battlefield 6 doesn't have enough post-release content? If so, you're not the only one, as most of the game's players feel the same way.
No specific number was given on how many individuals have been affected for now.
Battlefield 6 Developers Hit With Layoffs Despite Breaking Sales Records
The layoffs are said to be a “realignment” across the Battlefield Studios. While all four development houses will remain operational, multiple teams across studios and offices will be impacted.
Publisher Electronic Arts has issued a statement to IGN stating, “We’ve made select changes within our Battlefield organization to better align our teams around what matters most to our community. Battlefield remains one of our biggest priorities, and we’re continuing to invest in the franchise, guided by player feedback and insights from Battlefield Labs.”
This certainly doesn’t paint EA in a good light, though I doubt a mega-corporation such as them cares what us plebeians think. If the best-selling game of the year isn’t safe from having its dev teams get the axe, who is?
Former Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has shared his opinion on the recent performance of Call of Duty titles, as it has fallen far below the company’s expectations.

Enjoying Bungie’s Marathon? Given that it is a live-service game, players can expect a ton of updates to hit the game, and the first one is due this coming week.
While the complete patch notes are being kept under wraps for now, Bungie has also shared some of the changes players can expect from Marathon’s first post-release update.
One of the inevitable things in life include: death, taxes, and cheaters in multiplayer games.
Not only that, but Bungie also has big changes planned for LUX — Marathon’s premium, real-world currency players can use to buy items in-game.
Marathon’s First Update to Increase Resources
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bungie confirmed that Marathon’s first client-side update will be released this coming week, though the studio didn’t pin a date on it yet.
Increased the distance objective nav points appear from 10m to 20m.
Increased the number of Med Cabinets and Munitions Crates that can spawn on Perimeter.
Increased the amount of starting ammo in MIDA, CyberAcme, and Arachne free Sponsored Kits.
The actual patch notes will be shared once the title update is live, so be on the lookout for that.
In addition to the game’s first patch, Bungie also confirmed that LUX changes are on the way too.
The studio notes, “In the near future, we’re making an adjustment to the amount of LUX you get for the $10 (or regional equivalent) LUX bundle to grant 1120 LUX (1000 + 120), up from 1100 LUX (1000 + 100). As a part of this whole process, we’ll be crediting 20 LUX to players for each $10 LUX bundle they purchased before this change occurred.”
WWE 2K26 is just around the corner and is currently in Early Access, and 2K has now shared new information about how Community Creations will work in the game, especially for players on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation platforms.
The update comes directly from the development team, which addressed concerns from the community about cross-platform content and current technical issues.
Wildlight Entertainment has confirmed that Highguard will no longer be available starting March 14, as its servers are shutting down.
What Is WWE 2K Community Creations?
Community Creations is an online feature in WWE 2K games that allows players to create and share custom content with others. This includes custom wrestlers, arenas, championships, shows, and logos that can be uploaded and downloaded by players around the world.
In a message on discord, the developers explained that cross-platform Community Creations will be supported on Nintendo Switch 2, allowing players to share custom content across different platforms. However, there will be a small delay before content from other platforms becomes visible.
The team explained that this delay is necessary because the content must go through additional review and approval before it appears on the Switch 2 version of the game.
Despite the delay, the feature is still planned to allow players to access creations made on other platforms once they pass the review process.
The developers also addressed a separate issue affecting PSN Community Creations. The team confirmed that they are currently tracking reports from players about problems that are impacting gameplay in WWE 2K26.
To help resolve the issue, the developers have temporarily separated the PlayStation 5 version from cross-platform Community Creations.
According to the update, this change is only temporary while the team works on a fix. Once the solution is ready, PS5 will be reconnected to the cross-platform system. Chances are, a new update will be required to reintergrate the PS5 community creations, and once we get wind of it, we’ll let our readers know.
With Xbox has been releasing games on competing platforms for the past year, some gamers might be thinking this is a signal that the brand is moving away from the console business entirely.
Massive Monster has released the latest patch for Cult of the Lamb, and it’s available for download on consoles now. Players will see this as version 1.34/1.000.034, and this is a minor update.
As far as we’re aware, the patch is only available for consoles, so don’t expect any new content to be part of the rollout.

Cult of the Lamb Console Update Released on March 6
So far, Massive Monster hasn’t acknowledged today’s patch. However, there are a few known issues outlined previously as unresolved in the patch released three weeks ago:
Descriptions not showing up as intended on curses, relics, weapons, items, etc.
Crashes/graphics issues on Switch for some users
Questlines such as the ranch animal feeding quest not completing as intended
Achievements not unlocking
‘None Shall Flee’ Quest – this is an old quest that got removed, but you may still run into it on console builds. It’ll be patched soon!
These are items confirmed to be fixed in the “next patch,” which is this one.
For those unaware of the hotfix released last month, here’s a look at what fixes it applied:
Changes
Flockade no longer requires you to beat opponents to progress for 100% completion
Bugs
Fixed fisherman shop interaction being disabled during certain quest
Fixed hitting ranch animals with a snowball whilst leashed causes them to stay attached

Thankfully, that’s not the case and Microsoft doubled down on it today with the announcement of “Project Helix,” the code name of the new next-gen Xbox in development.
It didn’t take long for the internet to start asking questions.
Not only that, but the Xbox brand’s new CEO has a few choice words that are very interesting to see.
Next-Gen Xbox Has a Codename Now
Over on X (formerly Twitter), a teaser was posted of Project Helix where we see a logo. Understandably, that’s it. No specs were revealed, no release window, no nothing. However, confirmation of the new Xbox is a good thing for gamers.
Adding to that, new Xbox CEO Asha Shar added the following message on her personal X account, “Great start to the morning with Team Xbox, where we talked about our commitment to the return of Xbox including Project Helix, the code name for our next generation console.”
“Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games. Looking forward to chatting about this more with partners and studios at my first GDC next week,” she continued.
This is great news for Xbox fans, as this confirms we’ll be able to play Xbox AND PC games in our living rooms. And the mention of the company’s commitment “to the return of Xbox” sounds very promising for gamers who prefer Xbox keep their own stable of exclusive games.
Personally, I would want Xbox to bring back the glory days of the Xbox 360. Sure, they should continue to release Call of Duty and other games to competing platforms, but perhaps have their own stable of first-party games to fight off Sony’s? That would definitely have people buy the console if that’s the only dedicated gaming device that can play the next Elder Scrolls and whatever first-party studios they have at their own disposal.
Are you hoping to see Xbox return to its former glory or do you prefer all Xbox-published games remain multiplatform?
While Xbox might be pushing for more of its first-party games to appear on competing platforms, that doesn't mean the division will stop pushing for consoles altogether.
