Silent Hill 2 Remake Photo Secret Solved and Confirms One of the Fan Theories

If you’ve played the Silent Hill 2 remake, chances are you’ve interacted with some photos that gave an eerie weird effect once you’ve picked them up. If you’re wondering what they’re for, you’re not alone. It seems this little Easter egg has been planted by Bloober Team, and someone has already solved the Silent Hill 2 remake photo secret!

Silent Hill 2 Remake Photo Secret Finally Uncovered

Reddit user DaleRobinson has uncovered every picture, and managed to work it out. Read on for the solution, and what it means. Needless to say, this encroaches on spoiler territory, so proceed at your own risk.

1= Y (6 windows = 6th letter of ‘SO MANY PEOPLE HERE!’

2= O (2 bedposts = 2nd letter of ‘NO ONE KNOWS’)

8=E (2 lipsticks = 2nd letter of ”BEST FLAVOUR!’)

9=N (9 bullet holes = 9th letter of ‘HER DRAWINGS’)

10=H (7 lit up windows = 7th letter of ‘THEY’RE HERE’)

19 = O (3 scratches = 3rd letter of ‘WHOLE WORLD AHEAD OF US’)

20 = D (3 marks in the bottom left, like scratches = 3rd letter of ‘MADE IT!’)

21 = E (4 pieces of glass = 4th letter of ‘AFTERMATH’)

22 = C (Hidden ‘6’ in the photo = 6th letter of ‘STILL CAN’T GET IT RIGHT’)

23 = A (8 bloody footprints = 8th letter of ‘OLD MAN’S ALWAYS PREPARED’)

24 = D (4 lights, including the reflections of the moon = 4th letter of ‘ROAD TRIP!’)

25 =  E (2 flowers = 2nd letter of ‘BETTER LEAVE’)

26 = S (1 square = 1st letter of ‘SHAPE FORCES THE MIND’)

You can check out each picture right here for reference.

The solution spells out “YOUVE BEEN HERE FOR TWO DECADES” which confirms one of the fan theories that James Sunderland has been stuck in the town of Silent Hill, and has been reliving it over and over. There are hints scattered about throughout the town that lends itself well to this theory, and now, it’s confirmed.

To squash any doubt about this, Silent Hill 2 remake Creative Director Mateusz Lenart even mentioned it on Twitter/X, where he also shared that the dev team originally thought the puzzle might be too hard.

Are there more Easter eggs and secrets in Silent Hill 2’s remake? We certainly hope so.

Lords of the Fallen Update 1.055 Haunts Out for Version 1.6; Brings Refined Tutorial and More

If you thought HexWorks was done with Lords of the Fallen, you wouldn’t be the only one to think it. Apparently, the studio has more in the tank, as they just released Lords of the Fallen update 1.055, which is for the game’s version 1.6 patch.

Players can expect a refined tutorial and on-boarding for new players, fine tuning of enemies are part of it as well, PvP scaling and more are to be expected in this new update for the Souls-like action-RPG.

Lords of the Fallen Update 1.055 Patch Notes for Version 1.6:

Gameplay Improvements

We’ve implemented further gameplay adjustments informed by community feedback and extensive playtesting. It’s rewarding to see our Steam ‘Recent Review’ score rising, reflecting the positive impact of these ongoing improvements, and we’re committed to continuing this journey with your valuable input.

Highlights include:

  • Mob Density: Based on your feedback, we’ve fine-tuned certain mob encounters to create a smoother, more immersive combat experience by isolating instances to prevent mobs from stacking up. Returning players may find it worthwhile to start anew, as we’ve added a few fresh surprises along the way! (Original enemy distribution and density can still be accessed via NG+ modifiers.)
  • Ranged Enemies: We’ve adjusted the perception of certain ranged units to correct instances that felt unfair or unrealistic.
  • Jumping: Platforming in Pilgrim’s Perch has been refined with improved indicators, making jumps clearer and navigation smoother.
  • PvP Scaling: To elevate skill-based play in PvP, we’ve rebalanced scaling mechanics, particularly where magic-infused weapons and spells are concerned. These tweaks apply exclusively to PvP, so PvE players can continue with their current builds unaffected.
  • Attack Displacement: Some weapon attacks have received slight adjustments to reduce displacement, providing a greater sense of control while preserving effectiveness and supporting your playstyle.

Enhanced Tutorialisation, Onboarding, and Start-Up Experience

We’ve taken steps to further enrich the onboarding experience for new players in Lords of the Fallen, building on feedback from our veteran Lampbearers. We want every new player to feel empowered on their journey, and we understand that some early tutorials may have presented a steep learning curve. Here’s what’s new:

  • Improved Lighting in the Defiled Sepulchre: Enhanced lighting and visual adjustments make this initial tutorial area clearer and easier to navigate.
  • Gradual Umbral Tutorialization: Core abilities like ‘soulflay’ and ‘syphoning’ now have dedicated tutorial spaces later in Redcopse, allowing new players to engage with each feature more gradually.
  • Simplified First Jump Tutorial: We’ve refined the jump tutorial to be more accessible (hands up in the comments if you cleared it on the first attempt!).
  • Lightreaper Boss Adjustment in NG0: To clarify the intentional design of this encounter, we’ve removed the Lightreaper boss fight from the tutorial area for NG0 players. Rest assured: the Lightreaper still lurks within Mournstead and will make a return as a surprise in NG+.

A More Immersive Umbral Realm for Explorers

Umbral, the parallel realm intertwined with the living world of Axiom, is accessible at any point in the game, offering an expansive world of alternate pathways, hidden treasures, and secrets. We know how much you enjoy exploring Mournstead, and many of you have asked for a more exploration-friendly Umbral realm. Embracing this idea, we’ve made some tweaks to enhance its immersive vibe while preserving its mysterious, challenging nature.

While Umbral remains intentionally hostile, we’ve made adjustments to its sounds, visuals, and enemy spawn curve. Now, the threads (Umbral natives) are slower to detect your presence, allowing you some precious time to explore before the realm’s haunting intensifies. Eventually, the Scarlet Shadow will appear, forcing you to decide: escape or engage in an epic showdown.

These changes make Umbral better suited for exploration while preserving its eerie intensity and challenging atmosphere:

  • Dynamic Ambient Sound: Initial entry into Umbral is now accompanied by subtler soundscapes, building in intensity as you remain longer, reaching a crescendo before you must find an exit, or risk facing the Crimson Reaper.
  • Adjusted Enemy Spawn Curve: Enemy appearances are now better paced to create a smoother, gradual build-up of tension.
  • Increased Delay for Scarlet Shadow: You’ll now have more time to explore before the Scarlet Shadow emerges, enhancing the suspense.
  • Reduced Vignette Effect: Based on player feedback, the vignette effect has been softened to improve visibility while exploring Umbral.
  • Clearer Umbral Eggs: We’ve added a special VFX to eggs set to spawn Umbral natives, as we noticed some players had difficulty distinguishing between active and inactive ones.

These updates create a richer exploration experience within Umbral, preserving its dark allure and escalating tension for daring adventurers.

Performance Improvements

We’ve implemented additional performance enhancements across several of the game’s more graphically demanding areas, optimising the experience for players with lower-spec computers.

Lords of the Fallen PS5 Pro Enhancements Included in This Patch

HexWorks confirmed that this patch also ushers in the promised PS5 Pro enhancements. Some of the things PS5 Pro owners can expect include:

  • 40% increase in pixel density over the base PS5 console, and this will result in a sharper image and finer details
  • Performance Mode – delivers rich visual detail at 4K60 (upscaled from 1440p) with a fluid 60 frames-per-second, sharper distant details, and refined textures on characters and environments
  • Quality Mode – Runs at native 4K30, showcasing intricate visuals across the dual realms of Axiom and Umbral at a stable 30fps

With HexWorks now working on the Lords of the Fallen sequel, which is planned for release in 2026, we’re not expecting a lot of patches to be released for the game anytime soon, unless of course, there’s a bug or two that surfaces from this update.

F1 24 Update 1.13 Races Out for PS5 Pro Support This Nov. 4

Codemasters has pushed out F1 24 update 1.13 (shows up as version 1.013 on PS5), and this is to add PS5 Pro support for the racing sim. Note that this patch is just for PlayStation platforms, and doesn’t include any new content outside of the added enhancements.

F1 24 Update 1.13 Patch Notes for Nov. 4:

  • Quality Mode – 4K/60Hz with on-track Ray Tracing
The Quality mode on PS5® Pro is upgraded from the PS5®. We are using Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to include more Ray Traced techniques on track for more photorealism whilst maintaining the 4K/60Hz target.

  • Performance Mode – 120Hz Mode now upgraded to 4K
We upgraded the 120Hz Mode currently running at 1440p on the PS5® to 4K on PS5® Pro. Players with a compatible 120hz screen choosing this high frame-rate will enjoy a crisp, smooth experience and extra clarity from the increased resolution.
  • Resolution Mode – A new 60Hz 8K Mode
The new 8K/60Hz Resolution Mode is a significant upgrade to the clarity and detail possible on PS5®, and is available only for players with 8K resolution screens and with 8K enabled in PS5® Pro console system settings.

There’s no mention of any bug fixes included in the patch, which is understandable given it’s mostly for the PS5 Pro’s impending release this week. For those wondering why the PS4 version also got patched, it’s because the PS5 Pro also enhances some PS4 games as well.

If Codemasters releases another update, we’ll let our readers know.

$100 PSN Card Digital Code Can Be Bought Discounted for $83 for a Limited Time (US Only)

Who doesn’t want a good deal, right? If you’re looking to top up on some PlayStation credits on the PlayStation Network (PSN), then we have a good deal for you! Currently, there’s a deal available online that lets you buy a $100 PSN card digital code for just $80+!

The deal is available now on eneba (direct link), and putting in the input code “PSNUS” (Update: new code “suppliedninja”) will drop the price down to $83 or a bit more. For those wondering, yes, this is for a digital code, which means once payment has been verified, a code will be sent to the email you used for buying the card. I tested it personally and yes, it worked, as the code was sent to my email.

Here’s the total I paid out:

This is for US (R1 accounts) only, and at the time of this writing, there are still cards available. No word on how long this deal lasts or how much stock they have, but I suggest getting a few just to have enough credits for PlayStation Plus and the incoming Black Friday PSN Store sale.

Disclaimer: MP1st is not affiliated with eneba, and does not earn anything from this discount. We also advice people to be cautious when buying items online, and we are not liable for any errors and other transactional issues people might run into with this promotion)

Mind you, this isn’t the full breakdown of everything packed inside the PS5 Pro, but it does list most of the main components, such as CPU, GPU, and system memory. Which, speaking of memory, it looks like the PS5 Pro will have an additional 2GB of RAM, which comes in the form of DDR5. This is in addition to the 16GB DDR6 of memory that the base PS5 already ships with. That may not seem like much, and despite not knowing exactly how that memory is allocated, it may be safe to assume that the additional DDR5 RAM, though assumedly slower than the DDR6 the PS5 has, likely is fast enough to run the PS5’s operating system. If that’s the case, then that means that developers will now have an additional 2GB of DDR6 RAM to use in their titles on the PS5 that they can allocate between the CPU and GPU given its unified memory.

More VRAM could mean better visuals on the GPU side of things, whereas more RAM could mean better performance when allocating memory to the CPU. Though with the additional 8K support, PSSR upscaling, and early RDNA 4 ray-tracing tech, chances are the extra DDR6 memory will be used to run such features.

The PS5 Pro launches this week on November 7.

BioWare Thinks Mass Effect Andromeda Was Better Game Than Reception Suggested; Learned Not to Put in Open World in RPGs for the Sake of It

BioWare just released Dragon Age: The Veilguard this October 31, and before that, the last new RPG released by the studio was Mass Effect: Andromeda back in 2017. While The Veilguard seems to be doing well both critically and commercially, the same can’t be said for Andromeda that essentially sunk the Mass Effect franchise in one go.

Most pundits pointed out Andromeda’s various technical issues and lack of polish as some of the main issues people had with it. However, according to BioWare’s John Epler, Andromeda was a better game than its reception suggested, even if it did deserve the reception it got.

“I do think Andromeda was a better game than its reception suggested, but on the flip side, I don’t think the reception was unfair. At the time of launch, there were technical issues and things that didn’t work.”

Safe to say, Andromeda was not BioWare’s finest work, and the studio learned a lot from it, which included not shoehorning an open-world just to tick off a box from a checklist. You see, when Andromeda was released, featuring an open-world and big explorable spaces were all the rage then, though in Andromeda’s case, it dragged the game down given there’s not a lot of meaningful things in it. This was something Epler mentioned that The Veilguard tried to avoid, and the learnings from Andromeda certainly helped with that decision.

“We had been doing Dragon Age pre-production on versions of Dragon Age 4, and we did have a version that was a lot more open-world. But again, we ran into the same problem of how do you make it compelling or narratively interesting? The reception to Andromeda definitely solidified that.”

Thankfully, Dragon Age: The Veilguard seems to be a return to form for the Canadian studio, as it’s been showered with high praise thanks to its combat, world building and more.

The next game on the docket for BioWare is the new Mass Effect game, as the studio shared that they’re not developing any The Veilguard DLC since the entire studio is now focusing its development duties on the new and still-untitled Mass Effect game.

As someone who played and loved the original Mass Effect trilogy, I absolutely did not like Andromeda. Not only did the game’s protagonist lack the charm of Commander Shepard, but the facial animation and whatnot certainly broke whatever immersion the game tried to offer. With The Veilguard’s success, it seems we might be seeing the return of Mass Effect’s prominence the next time a new game in the franchise is released.

PS5 Pro Supports 8K Screenshots and Enhances Image Quality for PS4 Games

The PS5 Pro has started to appear at some retailers, and a few lucky users in Brazil have already had the chance to explore its features. Their initial hands-on experience reveals exciting additions for this mid-generation console, including the ability to capture screenshots in 8K resolution.

This comes as a surprise, given the absence of an 8K logo on the console’s box. Fans initially assumed Sony had dropped 8K support altogether. However, users will still need an 8K-capable display to fully enjoy these ultra-high-resolution screenshots, as 8K displays are still rare and costly. Sony might expand this feature in future updates, but it doesn’t seem to be a priority right now. Currently, Gran Turismo 7 and F1 24 are the only games supporting 8K on the PS5 Pro.

PS5 Pro 8k
PS5 Pro offers 8K screenshot support. (Credits: TCMF2)

The PS5 Pro also offers an “Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games” feature, allowing players to improve the resolution of certain PS4 titles. One user tested it with Bloodborne, noting enhanced clarity over the original 1080p resolution capped at 30fps on the PS4.

In addition, the PS5 Pro will also support VRR for PS4 games, enhancing their sharpness on modern displays. Sony had previously mentioned that certain PS4 titles would benefit from this feature, focusing on improving resolution rather than increasing frame rates.

Additionally, the PS5 Pro introduces advanced AI upscaling technology known as PSSR, which allows games to reach near-4K resolution while maintaining smooth performance. Titles like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have already implemented this upscaling, offering a balanced mode that delivers high visual quality alongside decent frame rates.

Fans can expect early reviews and first impressions of the PS5 Pro to arrive just a day before its release, with reviews set to drop on November 6. As launch day approaches, even more leaks and details are likely to surface.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard DLC Not Planned by BioWare as Complete Focus Shifts to Next Mass Effect Game

While it’s normal — and even expected — single-player games to have DLC post-launch these days, that won’t be the case for the latest Dragon Age game by BioWare, Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

This was confirmed by Dragon Age: The Veilguard Creative Director John Epler in an interview with Rolling Stone. According to Epler, there are no The Veilguard DLC planned, as BioWare has now shifted focus to the next Mass Effect game, which, while we know has been under development since last year when it was teased as part of the N7 Day celebrations. Epler wouldn’t share more info about the in-development sci-fi RPG, which is understandable.

Of course, it’s hard to talk about Mass Effect without mentioning the last mainline entry, Mass Effect: Andromeda. Released in 2017 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, Andromeda was supposed to usher in a new era for the franchise, as the first trilogy was centered around Commander Shepard’s adventures. Unfortunately, Andromeda bombed hard both critically and commercially, and abruptly ended any future plans for the series.

Will the Next Mass Effect Game Feature Multiplayer?

While BioWare introduced a horde mode-like multiplayer in Mass Effect 3, it’s not known whether the studio plans to bring that back, or integrate t as part of the campaign. Epler wouldn’t say exactly where they’re leaning on this, but did comment on the studio tackling multiplayer once again.

According to Epler, “It’s possible to tell a strong story in a multiplayer game. Final Fantasy XIV does an excellent job,” and adds, “Multiplayer also introduces some complications around world states. I make a giant choice in my world, and the world changes.”

Hopefully, we’ll hear more about the next Mass Effect game in the coming year. That said, given how long BioWare crafts their RPGs, don’t expect it to be released anytime soon.

That long development time seems to be worth it though, as Dragon Age: The Veilguard has established a new record for publisher Electronic Arts on Steam, making it the most played single-player game on the platform of all-time.

Marvel Rivals Devs on Overwatch Comparisons: Rivals to Be Faster Paced, More Accessible to New Players

If you’ve seen hero shooter Marvel Rivals in action, chances are you’ve seen how closely it resembles Overwatch in a lot of things. Be it in the color palette, levels and even the hero abilities.

Was this intentional? Is this the developers at NetEase paying homage to the granddaddy of the hero shooter genre? We’re just as curious as you are, and this is something we asked the developers in our exclusive interview.

(Note: The answers provided were by NetEase as a whole, wasn’t attributed to just one individual)

MP1st: First thing off, let’s get it out of the way: Marvel Rivals will forever be compared to Overwatch. How does the dev team take that?

NetEase: We are honored to be compared with some of the best games out there in this genre and we feel we offer an experience that builds on some familiar gameplay elements and creates something unique with the opportunity to play as your favorite Marvel characters. Marvel Rivals will be faster paced and much more accessible to new players. This game features abilities-heavy gameplay and we put the hero in the hero shooter genre. We want Marvel Rivals to be best in class.

As someone who’s played the game a lot, I can’t say I disagree with NetEase’s statement. Marvel Rivals definitely feels much faster than Overwatch, and I mean that in a good way. Speaking of which, go read my hands-on preview of the beta here, where I state, “In terms of gameplay and the overall impact of the game, Marvel Rivals’ closed beta proves the developers are on the right track.”

Marvel Rivals will be released this December 5 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Stay tuned to our full interview hitting the site soon.

Introducing Kicks…

The Island isn’t the only thing to be remixed and reimagined. We’re bringing self-expression to a whole new level with the introduction of Kicks (a.k.a. shoes), a new type of cosmetic included as part of the Remix Pass and dropping in the shop on November 12.

The initial lineup of Kicks will feature Nike and Jordan brands alongside Fortnite originals. Look out for other brands to join the lineup in the future! Kicks will be compatible with over 500 of the most popular Fortnite Outfits to start, with more than 95% of Outfits compatible by Spring of next year. While there are a few Outfits that are particularly challenging to style Kicks for, we’re working hard to make sure that as many Outfits as possible can throw on a fresh pair.

Score your first pair of Jordans when they unlock in the Remix Pass on November 12 with v32.10. This is only the beginning for Kicks, more info will hit before they launch in the shop!

Fortnite Original Kicks are not included in the Remix Pass, the first pair will be available in the Shop starting November 12.

…And the Remix Pass!

In addition to Kicks, the Remix Pass comes to Fortnite packed with over 70 new in-game rewards! A shorter Battle Pass than usual, you can unlock all the Pass’ rewards in just four weeks. Grab the Remix Pass for 950 V-Bucks (or included as part of your Fortnite Crew subscription) and earn up to 1,000 V-Bucks by progressing it!

Level up the Remix Pass by earning XP across Fortnite Battle Royale, creator-made islands, LEGO® Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. Here are the nostalgically new Outfits in the Pass:

  • Chaos Director (unlocked right away!): Chaos reigns.
  • 1-Ball: Sink all the right shots.
  • Undercover Skye: She’s got the Guff stuff.
  • Meowdas: One classy cat.
  • Dynamo TNTina: Strike a match and light the fuse.

Fortnite Reload Desert Drop: New Map & Solos Mode

Battle Royale isn’t the only mode to run it back. Fortnite Reload Desert Drop also arrives on November 2 with the all-new Oasis Map and Solo Ranked + Unranked Modes. Featuring new takes on familiar spots like Paradise Palms, Shifty Shafts, and Lazy Links, you can rift, reboot, and reload solo or with your favorite Duo or Squads starting the same day as Chapter 2 Remix.

Starting November 12 with v32.10 the Reload map will rotate every 30 minutes between Oasis and the original Reload Venture map! When you’re in the lobby queuing up, you’ll be able to see which map is currently live and how much time is left until it swaps.

In Reload Solo, the core rules are the same, but all players have three lives total. When the respawn window closes, each extra life is converted into 50 additional non-regenerative Overshield (up to 100). For Zero Build, this is in addition to the 50 regenerative Overshield that all players have. Getting eliminated when you have no extra lives means getting sent back to the Lobby!

Reload’s loot pool is getting a refresh — here’s the full list of weapons you can expect to find around both maps:

Pistols

  • Combat Pistol
  • Suppressed Pistol
  • Mammoth Pistol

Shotguns

  • Auto Shotgun
  • Striker Pump Shotgun
  • Thunder Pump Shotgun
  • Maven Auto Shotgun
  • Ranger Shotgun

SMGs

  • Stinger SMG
  • Combat SMG
  • TwinMag SMG

Assault Rifles

Locker Improvements

Whether you prefer Battle Royale or another Fortnite experience, we’ve got big news! The v32.00 update (when Chapter 2 Remix goes live) includes improvements to the Locker. Take your fashion combo game to the next level and bundle up Character, Emote, Lobby, Music, Wraps, and Vehicle selections all into one Saved Loadout you can take into different Fortnite experiences.

With all these options to mix and match, it’s only fair you have a lotta loadouts — the number of available category presets and saved loadout will be 200 each! The Locker now displays more of your loadouts at a time, and scroll navigation has been implemented across the Locker to make customizing your look a breeze.

Heads up — randomize/shuffle for saved loadouts will be available soon.

Content Creation – Chapter 2 Remix

Each week Throughout Chapter 2 Remix, content creators in the Support-A-Creator (SAC) program will be able to monetize VODs of Chapter 2 Remix events, gameplay (including music from POIs, Weapons, Contrails, and Gliders – not including music from Emotes and Radio tracks), and trailer/clip content on YouTube for a seven-day period following their initial release. No takedown notifications should occur for this content during this time.

  • In order to monetize your Chapter 2 Remix content, you need to link your YouTube and Support-A-Creator accounts.
  • IMPORTANT: When uploading the content to YouTube, be sure to upload it as Unlisted or Public. If you upload the video as Private, it’s possible you could receive a monetization claim on your video.
  • For uploading the content on other platforms, refer to the channel’s platform policies for tips on how to avoid copyright strikes.
  • To avoid hearing licensed audio during interactions with other players, make sure to set your “Licensed Audio” setting to “Mute Others” in the Creator Options under the Audio Settings in-game.

Although unlikely, if you do receive a claim on any SAC content, there may be a short delay in YouTube processing the release of the claim. During this time, please do not dispute the claim.
Not in SAC? Don’t worry, you can still share your highlights from the experience. However, you will not be able to monetize this content on YouTube.

Please note: For Twitch creators streaming Chapter 2 Remix, we cannot prevent your VODs or clips from getting flagged by third-party copyright detection systems. The general recommendation is to disable VODs/clips when streaming the experience. For more information, see Twitch’s DMCA & Copyright FAQs help page.

Now that’s a bop. Bounce with us until Chapter 2 Remix ends November 30 at 10 PM ET!

The Stadium Lights Up for Snoop Dogg in Fortnite Festival Season 6!

It’s the Snoop D-O-Double G! With more than 35 million album sales worldwide, Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest rap and hip-hop icons in the world, and now he’s the Icon for Fortnite Festival Season 6.

t’s bumpin’ in here — Season 6 begins November 2 with v32.00 and comes to a close January 14, 2025, at 12 AM ET.

The Festival Pass Becomes the Music Pass

Look right at home and laidback with Snoop Dogg Instruments and the LBC ’93 Dogg Outfit in the Music Pass. You can progress in the Music Pass with XP from any experience in Fortnite that grants XP, not just Festival. This means there are more ways to unlock Instruments, Auras, and more to take to the stage! Check out our Level Up Your Fortnite Passes at the Same Time blog post for more info. The Music Pass, which has a free reward track and a Premium Reward Track upgrade, is available for 1,400 V-Bucks.

Free Rewards

Add some bling to your fancy guitar spins. The Flux Silvera is the final reward of the free reward track, perfectly polished and built for an ever-changing style!

Let’s turn it up a notch: the Music Pass includes four new Jam Tracks!

What’s a Dogg without his diamonds? Let ‘em see you shine with the Diamond Dazzle Aura and start fireworks onstage with the Grand Finale Aura. Surely not a fire hazard, right?

If you thought fireworks were flashy enough, teach the Dogg some new tricks with the Stand Surfer Emote. You don’t need a mic drop when you can ride the mic stand instead!

Premium Rewards

Pick up the Music Pass for 1,400 V-Bucks to access Snoop Dogg-themed Instruments and other unlockable rewards! You’ll automatically get the LBC ’93 Dogg Outfit when you purchase the Music Pass, bringing the West Coast vibes to the Main Stage, Jam Stage, and Battle Stage! Of course, you can let the Dogg loose and use this Outfit in some other Fortnite experiences too!

Be the boss with the Masterpiece Mic, deliver a funk-infused flow with the G-Funk ‘93 Guitar, or lay down some paradiddles with the Top Dogg Drum Kit, the final Premium reward in the Pass.

As for the music, the Fortnite Festival stage crew is throwing it back with fresh beats from some of the biggest names in hip-hop. You can unlock “Young, Wild & Free” by Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and Bruno Mars as a Jam Track near the end of the Music Pass.

  • Linkin Park – Numb: Lead/Pro Lead
  • Metallica – One: Pro Lead (Hard)

Each week throughout Season 6, content creators in the Support-A-Creator (SAC) program will be able to monetize VODs of Fortnite Festival gameplay content on YouTube, with music limited to new Jam Tracks (and their loops) for the seven days following their release. No takedown notifications should occur during this time. More info:

  • In order to monetize your “Fortnite Festival Season 6” content, you need to link your YouTube and Support-A-Creator accounts.

Competitive Details: Make Your Mark in Chapter 2 Remix!

Think you’ve got what it takes to rise to the top? Rank up and then test your mettle in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, which features not one, not two, but seven tournament series to compete in—with a combined prize pool of over $1,000,000!

Explaining Fortnite’s Ranked Modes

Eager to jump into the competition? The battle begins in Ranked modes! Here’s a quick reminder on how these work for those new to Fortnite’s competitive scene.

Fortnite’s Ranked modes give all players a rank based on their performance—the better you play, the higher your rank! A series of initial placement matches must be completed to establish your rank. At the end of a Battle Royale season, ranks are reset for all players, and placement matches must be completed again to redetermine where you sit on the ranked ladder.

Your current rank determines which tournaments you are allowed to participate in, with players ranked Gold or above eligible to compete for cash prizes. Placed in Silver or below? You can still participate in tournaments, such as Ranked Cups, with other players in your same skill group.

Tournament Series: Chapter 2 Remix

There are seven different tournament series to participate in Chapter 2 Remix. Below is a summary of each tournament and details on the rank requirements of each.

Rank Requirements
Trios Cash Cups Gold I or above in Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, or Zero Build Reload.
Solo Victory Cups
Reload Duos Cash Cups
Reload Squads
Cash Cups
Ranked Cups – Battle Royale Players are divided into one of three bands based on their rank: Band 1 (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), Band 2 (Platinum and Diamond), and Band 3 (Elite I and above).
Ranked Cups –
Zero Build
Players are divided into one of two bands based on their rank: Band 1 (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) or Band 2 (Platinum I and above).
Performance Evaluations By invitation only for the top teams in EU and NA from the FNCS Major 3.

Ranked Cups

Looking to ease your way into tournaments? Ranked Cups are a good place to start. You’ll be matched up with players of a similar rank and given four hours to register your best four games. It’s up to you how many games you want to complete to lock in your score.

There will be 12 Ranked Cups held throughout this season, comprising three Battle Royale Solo tournaments, three Battle Royale Duos tournaments, three Zero Build Solo tournaments, and three Zero Build Duos tournaments. Manage to score at least 50 points during any of these, and you’ll unlock the Remix Ranker Glider!

Trios Cash Cups

With Trios announced as the format for Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) 2025, this season’s Cash Cups be Trios! Trios Cash Cups is designed for Fortnite’s top performing players, and as such, is where you can win the biggest cash prizes.

There’ll be nine Trios Cash Cups this season (six Battle Royale and three Zero Build), each consisting of two rounds. The first Trios Cash Cups begin on November 6, with 33 teams from the first round progressing to the second round held the following day. Emerge victorious in any of the NA and EU Battle Royale tournaments, and your team will win a $9,000 prize!

Solo Victory Cups

If you’re more of a lone wolf, then the Solo Victory Cups are your proving grounds and chance to win cash prizes!

Each of this season’s eight Solo Victory Cups (four for Battle Royale and four for Zero Build) are divided into two rounds. Perform well in the first round to qualify for the second round, where you’ll be able to play three more games — win one, and you’ll be awarded a $100 prize!

Performance Evaluations

Performance Evaluations are a series of multiple-round tournaments designed to test newly-launched builds. However, just because they’re a test doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bring your A-game, as cash prizes are on the line! Each Performance Evaluation tournament has a prize pot of $3,200, with the spoils divided between the best-performing players.

There will be ten Performance Evaluations this season, consisting of five Battle Royale tournaments in Europe and five Reload tournaments in North America.

Reload Duos Cash Cups

Lock and Reload! There’ll be three Reload Duos Cash Cups this season, each consisting of one round. Players will face off on the newest Reload Map: Oasis, complete with a refreshed Loot Pool. Read more about Reload’s Desert Drop update in the Chapter 2 Remix blog here.

Reload Squads Cash Cups

Gather your friends and assemble a team for Reload Squads Cash Cups! There will be three Reload Squads Cash Cups during the Chapter 2 Remix season, each of which will be a single-round cup consisting of seven matches. The top 10 teams in each region will win cash prizes, with the first-place teams in Europe and North America taking home $4,000 each, and $1,500 in all other regions.

  • Controller players can now set a scoped multiplier for aim sensitivity while aiming down sight with scoped weapons.
  • Fixed a bug where Left and Right Stick Dead Zones for PlayStation controllers were not registering when set below 12%.

Phasmophobia Update 1.000.002 Haunts Out This Nov. 1 for Hotfixes

Phasmophobia has officially launched on consoles, and though Kinetic Games brought a massive update alongside the console versions, it seems that some new bugs have started to crop up. Thankfully the studio is acting fast and has issued an update across all platforms. Here’s what’s inside of Phasmophobia update 1.000.002.

Phasmophobia Update 1.000.002 | Phasmophobia Hotfix v011.0.1

Changes

  • PS5: Lowered the density of fog on PSVR2 to increase visibility

  • You can no longer rebind the left mouse click or Xbox A/ PlayStation X button to any keybind, this is to prevent the UI becoming unusable

Fixes

All Platforms:

  • Fixed an issue where Totem Points would multiply per player in each game.

  • Fixed an issue that caused too many Totems to spawn in multiplayer.

  • Fixed several instances of players getting stuck in various locations.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Doors in VR to no longer shake & play a loud noise when grabbed.

  • Fixed an issue preventing VR players from turning at the same time as moving, when Smooth Turning was switched on.

  • Fixed an issue where VR Players would bounce off of objects when walking in to them.

  • Fixed an issue causing some controller inputs to become unuseable when a VR player opens the journal.

Xbox:

  • Fixed an issue preventing playeres from not being able to obtain the “They’re Here“ achievement.

PS5/PSVR2:

Glad to see they were quick on fixing some issues with the PSVR2 version of the game, especially with foveated rendering as the feature is a pretty big one that makes image quality look way better on whatever you’re focusing on.

For those who are playing, how are you liking it so far?

PS5 Pro Unboxing Leaks Ahead of Official Launch

Sony’s upcoming mid-gen console, the PS5 Pro, is set to release on November 7, with the official unboxing reportedly scheduled for November 4. However, it seems PlayStation 5 Pro fans won’t have to wait until November 4 to see what’s inside the PS5 Pro box.

The console has already reached multiple content creators and media outlets, and with some retailers stocking the PS5 Pro early, leaks have started to circulate. The latest of these leaks features an unboxing video that seems to be recorded by someone who has access to the unit due to a retail outlet, giving fans an early look at what’s inside without waiting for the official unboxing.

In a leaked video from a German user unboxing the console in-store, the box contents include a traditional white controller, three main cables (an HDMI cable, a Type-C charger for the controller), and a power cord, all similar to the original PS5 layout.

Upon removing the PS5 Pro’s cover, the console appears noticeably smaller and lighter than expected, while the design remains very similar at the back, featuring the same power supply, network, and USB ports as the original PS5.

Another detail that has caught attention is the lack of an 8K label on the PS5 Pro box, which has raised some questions. This likely won’t be a concern for most gamers, as many games don’t support 8K yet, and 8K TVs are still rare in the market. Still, the missing label has come as a surprise to some.

Additionally, the PS5 Pro appears to have a slot to access the CMOS battery, a handy upgrade for repairability. This small battery powers the CMOS chip, which stores essential system information like the date, time, and hardware settings.

The video also shows that the device’s right-side cover can be removed easily to insert the external disc reader, much like the original PS5. Despite the addition of the disc reader, the device still appears noticeably thinner. However, it’s worth noting that covers for the PS5 Slim will not be compatible with the PS5 Pro, a compatibility issue that may disappoint users who hope for interchangeable plates across models.

Watch the original video here:

Fans can expect early reviews and first impressions of the PS5 Pro to arrive just a day before its release, with reviews set to drop on November 6. As launch day approaches, even more leaks and details are likely to surface.

Alan Wake 2 Recoups Most Development and Marketing Costs; Control 2 on Track for Full Production in 2025

Remedy launched the acclaimed Alan Wake 2 in October 2023, but it seems the project’s total costs still haven’t been fully recouped, despite being in the running for Game of the Year. However, early signs suggest that this survival-horror title will soon turn profitable for its creators.

In its latest financial report, Remedy briefly addressed this situation. CEO Tero Virtala noted that Alan Wake 2 has recouped “most” of its development and marketing expenses in the July-September quarter. Although there’s still ground to cover for the game’s profitability, recent expansions, like the Lake House DLC, might boost sales and bring the title closer to financial success.

This situation isn’t stopping Remedy from funding its future projects. The studio has made a financing agreement with Annapurna, which will cover 50% of Control 2’s development costs in exchange for the rights to adapt the Control and Alan Wake franchises into films and television. Additionally, the Xbox Partner Preview recently showcased FBC: Firebreak, showing that this project is progressing smoothly.

Remedy’s report also sheds light on other highly anticipated projects. According to the document, Control 2 has progressed well in the production readiness stage and is on track to start full production during 2025. Many of the critical features of the game have been implemented to mitigate production risk, and workflows and pipelines are being tested in preparation for full production.

In the case of the much-anticipated Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake with Rockstar, Remedy states it is “making steady progress in full production. The development team continues their work, gradually reaching important milestones.” Both projects, however, are likely still years from release. The nearest in line, according to previous announcements, is FBC: Firebreak, expected to release in 2025.

In the meantime, read our review of Alan Wake 2, where we gave it a score of 9.5 out of 10, stating, “It’s one of the greatest survival horror games ever made, this shouldn’t be skipped.” It is also worth noting that Alan Wake 2 has already sold over one million copies, making it the fastest-selling game in Remedy’s history.

For those that have played Alan Wake 2, the game’s Anniversary Update and final DLC, The Lake House, is available now.

Black Ops 6 Update for November 1 Fixes Black Screen Issue, Brings Nuketown and More

As promised by Treyarch, Nuketown is now live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6! Aside from the new map, the studio has also released a new Black Ops 6 update this November 1, and this is a server-side update (no download required) that fixes the dreaded black screen issue and more.

Black Ops 6 Update for November 1 Patch Notes:

Here’s what’s new per Treyarch:

  • Addressed an issue where some players may encounter a black screen when loading into a public or private match for both Multiplayer and Zombies.
  • Resolved an issue when trying to select DLSS or DLAA in the upscaling options.
  • FFA now counts elimination points for wins, not total score.
  • Stability fixes + more.

Nuketown in Black Ops 6:

While most of the combat is centered around the bus and container truck, the interiors (and upper floors) of the opposing houses – recently installed after being constructed and shipped from nearby Area 99 – allow for a variety of excellent sightlines toward the opposing team’s spawn point. That is provided you’re not put off by the dead gaze of the plastic people inhabiting the cul-de-sac on the corner of Latchkey Road and Trinity Avenue.

Finally, here’s a list of the known issues Treyarch is looking into via the official Black Ops 6 Trello board.

Global Known Issues

Investigating:

  • Some players may encounter a black screen when loading into a public or private match for both Multiplayer and Zombies.

Multiplayer Known Issues

Nuketown is currently unavailable in Private Matches

Investigating:

  • Players will notice that some “Killer” Calling Card challenges do not show their recorded progress in the menus.
  • In very rare circumstances, players have reported dying upon selecting a loadout in Search & Destroy.
  • Some players will receive the wrong weapon when selecting a custom loadout.
  • Some players automatically spawn in-game rather than spectating when joining in-progress.
  • Players may sometimes notice that progression levels are incorrect on in-game Scoreboards.
  • Players may sometimes notice that progression levels are incorrect in main menus.
  • Some players are unable to hear each other during Intermission (between rounds) and Post-Game voice chat.
  • Players will notice that the mini-map displays enemy arrows incorrectly (backwards) when using the HARP scorestreak.

Zombies Known Issues

  • Players are encountering an issue where Zombie Weapon Builds are not equipping their player-selected camos when obtained from the Mystery Box or Wall Buys.

Campaign Known Issues

  • We’re investigating reports that some Players cannot launch the Campaign after taking today’s update.

Expect a patch to resolve some of the issues that has been plaguing the game since launch. In other Black Ops 6 news, Microsoft’s CEO announced that it is now the “biggest” Call of Duty launch of all-time!
