The Battlefield 2042 Season 7 release date has been confirmed for March of 2024. After officially confirming Season 7’s existence with an announcement teaser last week, the developer has now given us a release window to look forward to.
The announcement came via Twitter/X, where the developers say that it will be a “massive season” packed with a whole load of new content. Not only that, but the studio confirmed that there will be more than one new map in Season 7!
So yes, Season 7 for #Battlefield 2042 will be in your hands in March! 🗓️

Hello Games has pushed out No Man’s Sky update 4.47 (PS5 version 4.047) on PlayStation and PC today. This brings a small list of bug fixes related to the Holiday Expeditions 2023 patch. Read on for the No Man’s Sky new update patch notes for today.

Fixed an issue that could prevent purchase or exchange of a Freighter.
Fixed an issue where some expedition milestones could become locked when loading an expedition mode save on an older version of the game.

One of the biggest surprises during The Game Awards this year was the announcement of a new Marvel game, Marvel’s Blade. Developed by Arkane Lyon, the studio behind Deathloop and the Dishonored franchise, Marvel’s Blade will follow the story of our favorite Vampire Hunter in a new original tale. Though the title’s development only started, Arkane Lyon has some early showings to help set the game’s mood. Specifically, some early Marvel’s Blade concept art gives us an early look at the game’s direction.
As shared on X by Arkan Lyon’s Art and Co-creative director, Sebastien Mitton, below are some fresh concept art images for Marvel’s Blade.
It’s not much, but it does help set the general tone as to what we can maybe expect. The first image in particular, looks to show some stealth element. That shouldn’t be much of a surprise considering the IP, but also the fact that Arkane Lyon worked on both Deathloop and Dishonored, games that used stealth heavily.
The big question, though, is whether it will be a seamless open-world like Marvel’s Spider-Man or follow the same world format as past Arkane games, with divided sections where the players will load into. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Marvel’s Blade game will take players to a quarantined section of Paris in the middle of a supernatural emergency. Vampires have emerged, terrorizing the city of lights and forcing Parisians to shelter inside their homes at night to wait for sunrise.
“From his trench coat to his iconic sunglasses, Blade is a slick, stylish, and driven character,” said Sebastien Mitton, Co-Creative and Art Director, Arkane Lyon. “This project is the perfect opportunity to push Arkane’s art style into an even more modern and bold territory. Marvel’s Blade has no release date and has no confirmed platforms as of yet, with Microsoft refusing (so far) to confirm whether it’s exclusive to Xbox or not.

Since the launch of Season 1 last week, we’ve been actively listening to player feedback regarding audio concerns in Warzone, especially related to footsteps. This initial update is aimed at addressing part of these concerns and enhancing the overall experience before we head into the holidays.
When making changes such as this, there’s a complex mix of variables we need to meticulously look at and consider. One of the primary factors to consider is the fidelity of the experience across our titles to avoid too large a gap between Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Beyond that, changes to things like occlusion, falloff distance, first-person vs third-party balance, or specific Perk mechanics, can have ripple effects due to the sheer number of interacting/overlapping sounds in a Battle Royale match.
Please know that we’re committed to ongoing improvements and to ensuring that players can fully immerse themselves in the game while maintaining a competitive edge. Your continued constructive feedback is appreciated, and we’ll continue to work towards making Warzone the best it can be on every front.

In case you didn’t know, NetherRealm Studios has taken the Mortal Kombat 1 servers down for maintenance this Dec. 14, as we’ll be getting Quan Chi today alongside a new game update. However it seems players are having issues now with characters appearing locked as well.

While NetherRealm hasn’t issued a formal announcement regarding the downtime, players on various platforms have confirmed that the game’s servers are out. In addition to that, multiple gamers have also reported that their characters are locked out! DLC character Omni-Man and even Shang Tsung are seemingly inaccessible for now.
The patch isn’t live just yet, but those with the Season Pass can download Quan Chi right now. Once the patch notes are live, we’ll provide a link to it within this article. Same with the servers, once it’s working again, we’ll let our readers know by updating the article.

Since the launch of Season 1 last week, we’ve been actively listening to player feedback regarding audio concerns in Warzone, especially related to footsteps. This initial update is aimed at addressing part of these concerns and enhancing the overall experience before we head into the holidays.
When making changes such as this, there’s a complex mix of variables we need to meticulously look at and consider. One of the primary factors to consider is the fidelity of the experience across our titles to avoid too large a gap between Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies. Beyond that, changes to things like occlusion, falloff distance, first-person vs third-party balance, or specific Perk mechanics, can have ripple effects due to the sheer number of interacting/overlapping sounds in a Battle Royale match.
Please know that we’re committed to ongoing improvements and to ensuring that players can fully immerse themselves in the game while maintaining a competitive edge. Your continued constructive feedback is appreciated, and we’ll continue to work towards making Warzone the best it can be on every front.
BUG FIXES
Fixed collision issues with various elements across Urzikstan allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them.
Fixed an issue that allowed Players to get stuck inside locked buildings that should otherwise be inaccessible.
Fixed additional issues with incorrect text appearing on Challenges.

Craft the bar counter, rescue the barkeep, and open a tavern where legends are born. Patrons from all over the Exiled Lands will visit, and for the right price, they will even follow you. The barkeep has their ear to the ground, and knows how to reach people. Speak to them to summon important contacts like Isscar the Sellsword, who will provide valuable items for sale.

The Siege of Al-Merayah!
The Stygian invasion has occupied The Ruins of Al-Merayah! A new fully destructible base has been erected in the area of al-Merayah filled with Stygian invaders
Use the new Battering Ram and assorted other methods (explosives, trebuchets, climbing, whatever you can imagine) to infiltrate the base and combat the Stygian army and their Commander!
The Battering Ram can be found inside of the Stygian al-Merayah base, as well as in Isscar’s store after he is freed from the Purge and hired from the Barkeeper!
Once the Commander has been defeated and all players have left the immediate proximity of the base, the entirety of the Structure and encounters will reset allowing the experience to be played through again!
Tavern and Barkeeper!
The Bar building piece is now unlockable from the Knowledge Tab at Level 20!
Free a Barkeeper from captivity in the Purge and bring him back to your Settlement as a Thrall!
Assign the Barkeeper to the Bar to act as a new vendor of both items and special Patron Contacts that can be hired temporarily in your base (Currently Isscar the Sellsword can be hired once freed from the Purge, look for more Special Patron Contracts to come in future updates!)
Once the Barkeeper is manning the Bar, randomized Patrons will begin to visit your Tavern and all nearby seats/chairs will become available for Patrons to visit and occupy
Some of these Patrons can be persuaded to join you as a Thrall in exchange for some gold after speaking to them should you desire their services

We’ve decided to introduce a new rotation strategy after careful consideration of player feedback regarding our map rotation system.
Rotations will now vary between map selection and random map regions.
In regards to the new rotation for random map regions, Sanhok will no longer be a permanent fixture and instead,
Rondo will now be available for selection within the Normal Match rotation pool.
Through this update, we aim to offer players the flexibility to play the new map at their convenience – and what’s important, we’ve reduced split queues by implementing a new feature that’ll match players who select Rondo along with those who select random map selection in a
single pool.
Recognizing that player preferences differ across regions, we believe implementing two distinct rotations could be more effective than our current single one. And to address some regular community thoughts that we receive, completely eliminating the rotation system or enabling all servers to choose their preferred maps will ultimately lead to affecting essential factors such as matchmaking times, which brings more challenges.
The updated system below has been shaped largely by your feedback and the preference data we’ve gathered so far – we’re eager to hear your thoughts on this new system, so please share your feedback after giving it a try!

Turntable

Turntables are placed throughout Rondo.
Turntables are interactable with the interaction key.
Once activated, they will play a random selection of music. A Turntable will turn off automatically after playing a single song.
Turntables are destructible, but once destroyed, they can no longer play music.
Fireworks
Ignite some spark and vibrancy in the skies of Rondo!
Fireworks are available on the starting island and across the map.
Fireworks on the starting island will vanish as soon as you board the plane.
Fireworks can be launched into the sky using the interaction key.
Each crate of fireworks allows a maximum of five interactions, and upon each ignition, it will randomly launch fireworks a variable number of times.
Firework crates can not be destroyed.

During matchmaking, players will now be able to change equipped skins and use items/currencies through Customize, Edit Profile, and the Hideout.
In a ready state, players will now be able to access more lobby features such as Social, Clan, team-related features, etc.
A message will now encourage party members to switch to a ready state when at least one party member is ready.
Party members will retain their ready status even after adjustments are made to the perspective, team mode, or map settings within the same mode.
Now only the party member who cancels matchmaking will have their ready state canceled.
If a party member goes offline during matchmaking, only their ready state will be canceled.
In cases where server issues cause matchmaking to be canceled, only the party leader’s ready state will be canceled.

While Twitch was (and is) primarily a streaming platform for gaming, it seems more and more people have been stretching that to its limits all in the name of clout and money. Case in point: quite a number of streamers (which we won’t name) have streamed almost naked, which should be against the channel’s policies.
In a large blog post earlier today, Twitch announced that they’re updating the Twitch Content Guidelines to be more lenient regarding sexual content. This update aims to streamline the policy and draw the lines surrounding sexual and sexual-adjacent content a little more clearly for creators.
The primary function of this change to the guidelines is to consolidate the Sexually Suggestive Content and Sexually Explicit content policies under one banner. In the process, Twitch also adjusted some of the language surrounding these guidelines to be clearer. Here are the biggest changes:
Streams that are labeled as including Drugs, Intoxication, or Excessive Tobacco Use; Violent and Graphic Depictions; Gambling; and/or Sexual Themes will no longer be included in homepage recommendations shelves.
Several types of content that were previously prohibited are now Allowed With Label:
Content that “deliberately highlighted” specific body parts even when fully clothed
Fictionalized (drawn, animated, or sculpted) nudity, regardless of gender
Body writing/art on female-presenting bodies regardless of gender
Erotic dancing that involves disrobing or disrobing gestures
Popular dances, such as twerking, grinding, and pole dancing are now allowed without a label. This change is to allow for certain contexts where such dancing might not break guidelines like a wedding or exercise class.
Game Nudity is contextual and depends on the nature of the game; in most cases, the Mature rating label will cover the need for a Content Classification Level.
Twitch has seen a significant shift in content in the last few years. What was once a hub for gaming is now home to a much wider variety of media, much of which revolves around sexual content. Hell, hot tub streaming even has its very own category on the site now. These guideline changes seem to be an attempt to update the site policies to fit that type of content more comfortably. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Revealed during today’s Mortal Kombat 1 Quan Chi showcase stream, cross-play is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 this February! Tyler Lansdown, one of the game’s community managers, confirmed that cross-play will be featured between PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles, leaving Nintendo Switch owners (likely due to the version’s state) out of the experience.
What’s more, Tyler also confirmed that a new Wi-Fi filter will be coming that will allow players to decline matches based on a player’s connection. He didn’t mention if this would be part of the next patch.
Speaking of the next patch, which should be available tomorrow to coincide with Quan Chi’s release, the team reviewed some of the patch’s changes during the stream. Here’s a summary of what they discussed.
Mortal Kombat 1 Patch Preview
There are lots of quality-of-life improvements to the overall game and seasonal towers.
Kameo changes.
Kano eye laser is now a mid.
Sony Energy Ring is now a mid.
Kung Lao Buzzsaw is now point-blank.
Intros are coming to Classic Towers, mini-bosses, etc.
More intense music during boss fights in the seasonal tower.
Season name – Season of Ice
Darius Kameo might have a new move this season.
That’s just a taste of what you can expect in tomorrow’s update! The full patch notes should arrive soon, though don’t expect everything to be included in there as the studio has teased that some Easter Eggs are awaiting players.
Overall, this is fantastic news, as cross-play has been one of the most prominent requested features ever since the game’s launch. It’s still two months out, mind you, but a whole season and Quan Chi are dropping tomorrow, should keep you busy till then. Plus, Khameleon, the game’s next Kameo, is also coming, though an exact date has yet to be announced. He’ll probably join the roster late this month if it’s like the Tremor release.

What is Project Resolve?
Project Resolve is a comprehensive update for The Division 2 aimed at improving player experience and laying the groundwork for future content. With your feedback in mind, our focus is on enhancing the game’s health and stability.
Key Areas:
With the decision to make longer seasons (4 months now) they had the time and room to work on quality-of-life features. While new content is always great, Project Resolve has the goal to fix the foundations of the game before new things get added to the mix. That includes improving the game stability and addressing the crashes, but also the overall game progression and addressing the frequent requests from the community.
Starting with a Public Test this week and followed by another one in January, Ubisoft will release the update in full alongside Year 5 Season 3 in February. This patch will address “thousands of bugs,” enhancing PvP and more.

Because of the focus on Project Resolve, the overall roadmap had to be reworked and things that were planned earlier were pushed back:

PVE IMPROVEMENTS
GLOBAL EVENTS
These improvements aim to make Global Events more fun and engaging. Our goal is to leverage the success of the Golden Bullet Global Event as a benchmark and apply it to make other Global Events equally enjoyable. Our overall approach involves minimizing negative consequences and enhancing the positive outcomes when playing the Global Events, the way they are meant to be played.
The following Global Events will be impacted by the changes: Guardians, Polarity Switch, Hollywood, SHD Exposed, and Reanimated.
Guardians
• When killing an angel, in addition to restoring armor to full, 50% of total armor is added as bonus armor.
• Increased damage buff from 30% to 50%.
• Minions now receive 15% of incoming damage instead of being invincible.
• Damage buff duration increased from 10 to 15 seconds.
Polarity Switch
• “Damaging enemy of different color removes polarity stacks” changed to “killing enemy of different color removes polarity stacks”.
• Max stacks increased from 5 to 4.
• Damage bonus per stack increased from 20% to 25%.
• Killing an enemy of the right polarity reloads the player’s weapons.
Hollywood
• Triple explosion range.
• Triple explosion damage.
• Fixed explosion VFX.
• Explosions generate signature ammo and grenades at the player’s location.
SHD Exposed
• 10x melee damage for the first melee hit after reaching 100% exposed.
• Stacks are acquired 50% faster.
• Double pulse radius.
• Players take 65% damage instead of 115% from pulsed enemies. Non-pulsed enemies still deal full damage.
Reanimated
• Triple explosion range.
• The explosion damage increased by 50%.
• Enemy headshot weakness increased by 50%.

GAME MODES
We are planning to introduce a Talent rotation feature in Descent and shorten run lengths to expedite encounters with the Nemesis.
Summit fans can anticipate the resolution of the LVL 100 XP issue.
Optimizations have been implemented in all three modes – Countdown, Descent, and Summit – leading to enhanced stability and performance overall.
EXPERTISE
Project Resolve makes Expertise upgrades more easily attainable to ensure that the costs of upgrading are in proportion to the benefits gained. Our intention is to prioritize the player’s time by implementing this change.
WEAPONS BALANCING
The general buff balance pass aims to enhance the appeal of less popular weapons and make them more engaging for all Agents.
The changes made to standard weapons may have an impact on Named and Exotic weapons that are derived from them. However, to avoid unintentionally over-buffing Exotic and Named weapons, certain buffs may not carry over. While most weapons are expected to inherit the base weapon buffs, some may remain unchanged to maintain balance. Additionally, all Exotic Weapons’ third attribute will be reconfigurable.
GEAR BALANCING
Our objective is to enhance the strength of the 2- and 3-piece Brand Set bonuses in order to reward players for committing to a specific Brand Set. We want to make the 3-piece bonus more enticing, while also making less utilized mechanics more relevant.
NEW FEATURES
We have made several improvements to the Inventory system. We have added a new menu called Tinkering, which combines the features of Optimization and Recalibration into one convenient location. This menu, along with the Expertise menu and the Talent/Attribute Library, now has a separate tab in the Inventory that can be accessed from anywhere, reducing the need to return to the Base of Operations. We will also adjust the Optimization costs to reduce the expenses associated with upgrades.
Additionally, we have introduced the option to directly send an item to the Stash, with a warning if the Stash is full. Furthermore, we have implemented a feature that displays the Stash item count when approaching it, eliminating the need to access it to check the inventory.
QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES
We have made some significant changes to the loot crate system in the open world. Loot crates will now scale with the world difficulty, resulting in higher quality gear and improved stats across the board, particularly for Challenging and Heroic difficulties.
Additionally, we are introducing a new feature that allows players to instantly use an Armor kit to replenish 25% armor with a 5-second cooldown. This is in addition to the existing functionality of holding the button to replenish 100% armor.
Furthermore, we will be implementing a cap on the SHD watch HP bonus at Level 2000 and an increase in the HP gain. From Level 1 to 1000, players will gain 30 HP per level and 1 Perk point. From Level 1001 to 2000, the HP gain remains at 30 HP per level. Beyond Level 2000, there will be no additional HP bonuses. These changes aim to enhance the gameplay experience and provide a more balanced progression system.
To avoid duplicates that clutter the mod space needlessly, we want to make Skill Mods inventory management more efficient. Each bonus can only be owned once and the value of the roll updates when a better one is obtained by the player.
PVP IMPROVEMENTS
CONFLICT
Our objective is to strengthen the identity of Conflict as the purest PvP experience available in The Division 2 by making it more balanced for all players, regardless of the time they have invested in the game. Thus, all Agents joining Conflict will have their Expertise and SHD Watch bonuses removed.
The caches that Agents can obtain in the mode will offer a greater quantity and improved quality of rewarded items.
Changes affecting the Spawn Area include the plan to add turrets to all spawn points to prevent spawn camping and forbid equipped items and loadouts from being changed while in Conflict. Loadout switching and individual pieces of gear will be allowed only once per spawn.
STATUS EFFECTS
Status Effects adjustments prioritize the PVP experience.
All the changes to Status Effects included in Project Resolve are focused on reducing their impact and introducing counterplays. The intention is to make Status Effects in PvP more manageable and provide Agents with additional options to counteract them. Even though these changes primarily target the PvP experience, we will also monitor their impact on PvE.
Diminishing returns have been added for all Status Effects in PVP, categorized into Crowd Control (Shock, Ensnare, Blind) and Damage Over Time (Bleed, Burn, Poison). Diminishing Returns will not apply in PvE.
Diminishing returns means that each subsequent application of the same category of Status Effect will have a reduced duration until full immunity is reached.
Plague of the Outcasts in PvP is also affected by diminishing returns, with stacks being halved upon transfer.
Additionally, the severity of immobilizing Status Effects has been reduced, 50% hazard protection for 5 seconds has been added once per target for all Repair Skills, Poison has been included in the list of effects that the Booster Hive cleanses, and boost duration now scales with skill tiers, ranging from 5 seconds to a maximum of 6.5 seconds at skill tier 6.

DARK ZONE
Project Resolve introduces a more distinct contrast between invaded and uninvaded Dark Zones, allowing players to customize the intensity of their gameplay experience. Our goal is to increase accessibility to the Dark Zone for a wider audience, while also providing a dedicated space for those seeking a more intense experience.
Here are the changes that Agents can expect in the non-invaded DZ:
The activation time for “Going Rogue” has been increased to 5 seconds from 0.75 seconds.
The duration of the first Rogue rank has been extended from 20 to 30 seconds.
Players with the Rogue status will be unable to switch loadouts or individual gear pieces for the duration of the Rogue status.
We also plan to add turrets to all spawn points to prevent spawn camping and forbid equipped items and loadouts from being changed while in the Dark Zone. Loadout switching and individual pieces of gear will be allowed only once per spawn.
FIXES
Among the numerous fixes included in Project Resolve, here are a few that PVP players would appreciate the most:
The issue that allowed agents to aim from cover without being seen and exposed to enemy fire with the Striker Ballistic Shield active while using the C79 scope has been fixed.
The issue that allowed agents to shoot using any scope while their hitbox is fully protected by props when using any shield has been addressed.
The issue that allowed agents to retain the increased magazine size from the True Patriot Gear Set even after swapping loadouts has been resolved.
Lastly, the issue that allowed glitching through a ladder when entering cover directly behind it has been fixed.
Note that these are NOT the official patch notes just yet. We’ll have that alongside the launch of the PTS.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 New Game Plus has been delayed into next year according to developer Insomniac Games. The update, which was originally slated for release before the end of 2023, will now launch sometime in early 2024 and will feature additional quality-of-life upgrades.

According to the update, the team’s been quality testing to ensure that the update is up to proper standards before releasing it. They’re aiming to include a more feature-complete list once we approach the update’s release, but they did list a few things that they’re planning to bring to the game:

Audio Descriptions
Ability to change the time of day
Abillity to swap tendril colors
It sounds as though there will be more quality-of-life additions beyond these, though the full list remains to be seen. Hopefully this update will arrive sooner rather than later. Mission replay will be especially useful for those seeking to unlock the Platinum trophy.
