Publisher THQ Nordic has reminded us that their official Digital Showcase 2022 will premiere tomorrow, Friday, August 12 at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time. Like last year, THQ Nordic will host a pre-show where their studio, HandyGames will showcase what they have been working on before the official showcase starts.
Other than that, the publisher says that viewers can expect new announcements along with updates and reveals for games that have already been announced. The Digital Showcase 2022 will be hosted by Richard Kiess and Elle Osili-Wood, an award-winning television presenter, with an overall runtime for the showcase will be around 45 minutes. THQ Nordic also teases that fans of Destroy All Humans! 2, Jagged Alliance 3, Outcast 2, and the Spongebob franchise would want to tune in. Except for these aforementioned titles, there will be 10 additional titles that will feature in tomorrow’s showcase.
Regardless if you’re a Killer or a Survivor, if you’re seeing Dead by Daylight down reports this August 11, it’s not you, but rather, it’s the game’s servers. It seems Dead by Daylight is having issues on all platforms, and there is no maintenance announced.

Multiple reports from players on all platforms have said that they are seeing a “initialization error” message appear in-game, with the message “The game has not initialised properly and may not save your game, try restarting” showing up.
Downdetector has seen a massive spike of reports of the game being down as well. Unfortunately, the official Behaviour Interactive and Dead by Daylight accounts have not acknowledged the outage just yet, though we’re expecting that to change soon.

After more than a decade, NBA 2K23 will usher in the return of the Jordan Challenge mode! First introduced in NBA 2K11, the Jordan Challenge mode gave players the chance to relive the iconic moments in Jordan’s career. In the NBA 2K23 Jordan Challenge mode, there are five new experiences added, and the old ones have been rebuilt as well.

Once Jordan captured his first title, he developed an insatiable hunger for more rings. In his second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals, Jordan set the tone early against the Portland Trailblazers, putting the game out of reach by the end of the first half. MJ led allscorers with 39 points, serving as the primary contributor in the Bulls’ 33-point blowout win.
11.1995 Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks
Former college rivals square off once again, this time at the mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden. At the height of their power, Jordan and Patrick Ewing gave the fans in attendance their money’s worth, trading buckets and elbows in a physical duel. Ewing’s 36 points would typically be enough to beat a team on any given night, but Jordan’s 55 points proved to be too much to overcome. This game is yet another reminder of Jordan’s greatness, and you can experience it firsthand.
12.1996 NBA Finals, Game 6
Michael Jordan’s fourth championship title was arguably one of his toughest tests. Facing a Seattle Supersonics squad equipped with lockdown defender Gary Payton, also known as ‘The Glove,’ every possession was a slugfest. Payton tried his best to smother Jordan throughout the series, successfully limiting him to a .263 field goal percentage in Game 6, but the offensive assassin found a way to thwart the Supersonics’ championship plan. Dig deep to clinch the title in a grueling battle against formidable foes.
13.1997 NBA Finals, Game 5
Flu-ridden and teetering on the edge of collapse, Michael Jordan battled sickness and fatigue for 44 minutes and 17 seconds against the Utah Jazz. The famous ‘Flu Game’ is legendary and widely considered one of Jordan’s finestmoments as a basketball player. The Bulls found themselves in a less-than-ideal situation early in Game 5, trailing by 16 at one point. Somehow, Jordan managed to power his team back within striking distance, and eventually secured the win. When the clockstruck double zero, Jordan had 38 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. He left everything he had on the court.
14.1997 Chicago Bulls vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Kobe Bryant entered the NBA with a swagger and an air of confidence that resembled shades of Michael Jordan, but whether he was MJ’s heir to the throne remained to be seen. Bryant, who grew up idolizing Jordan, went at his idol all game, determined to prove he was worthy of receiving the torch. The Lower Merion High School product dropped 33 points against MJ and the Bulls, but Jordan’s 36 were a reminder that he still reigned supreme. For Battlefield 2042 players that noticed that you weren’t getting the “First Match of the Day” XP as intended when patch 1.2 was released, that issue has now been resolved! DICE has also announced that the Battlefield 2042 First Match of the Day XP is now doubled for a limited time to compensate players.
Hopefully, no other XP-related issues persist. As for what’s next, DICE has mentioned previously that we should be hearing about Season 2 details within the month. While there’s no concrete confirmation on what new content players will be getting, the studio confirmed that we’ll be getting one new map for All-Out Warfare, and that stealth choppers are getting nerfed again.

Ubisoft has just released a new Rainbow Six Extraction trailer that showcases the upcoming crisis event called “Eclipse” that was announced yesterday. The trailer gives us our first look at the event and also announces the dates during which it will be available.
The trailer formally announces the new crisis event Eclipse, and will take place starting August 11 and ending on September 1. The new event will feature a new enemy, and players will have to survive hordes Archæans and take down the Neoplasm.
Players who complete the new Crisis studies will unlock new REACT Tech pieces, new Operators, new gear, and even cosmetics. This is a free event and all of its content/rewards will be available to all players.

2K Games and Firaxis Games have finally revealed the new Marvel’s Midnight Suns Wolverine Hero Spotlight trailer. The new trailer showcases the character’s gameplay, abilities, and a few voice-over lines.
The Midnight Suns Wolverine hero spotlight trailer is only 45-seconds long. It showcases Wolverine tackling enemies and slashing through them, as one might expect from the infamous Marvel mutant.

PlayStation has launched a brand-new web page that features all the current PlayStation games that are available to purchase on PC, all while confirming that the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection for PC is still targeting a 2022 release.
The new page, which is dubbed “PlayStation Games on PC” features all the current available PlayStation PC titles, each having a link to their dedicated site page, as well as the available storefronts to make it easier for PC gamers to find where to buy a title. Furthermore, there is a new set of FAQs that answers some of the common questions that PC gamers may have, such as DualSense support, PSN account, and more.
What’s more, there’s even an “upcoming” games tab which features all the currently upcoming announced PlayStation PC titles. Those being Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, and the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection. While Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is launching this week, with Miles Morales coming sometimes in the fall, news around the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection release has been a bit dry since it’s initial announcement. Despite being announced before both Spider-Man games, PlayStation has yet to officially announce anything concerning its release other than it “releasing shortly after the PS5” version. That of course was seven months ago, and many have casted some doubts that it’ll still make it this year.

Nexon has just confirmed three games to be showcased at gamescom 2022 in Cologne. The Nexon gamescom event will introduce brand new trailers for Veiled Experts, Dave the Diver, and The First Descendant.
For The First Descendant, a new trailer will be revealed at the event. This is a third-person co-op action looter-shooter game that is in development for PCs and consoles.
Veiled Experts will also make an appearance at the event. A new gameplay trailer will be unveiled for this third-person shooter, strategy action game that has already seen great success in its latest beta tests.
Finally, Dave the Diver will have a new trailer reveal alongside a live demo at the Nexon gamescom event. This is a PC-only game that follows a marine adventure set in the mysterious Blue Hole.

Microsoft responds to Sony’s latest claims that its Activision acquisition is anti-competitive and slams the company for “blocking rights” that prevent third-party games from joining Xbox Game Pass.
Sony claimed that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is anti-competitive last month when responding to a request by Brazil’s regulatory body, CADE. Sony also claimed that Call of Duty would be enough to sway users’ choice when buying a console and that Game Pass is disrupting the industry.
Microsoft has responded in a 27-page document in a reply to CADE, shooting down every claim made by Sony.
“Sony’s public statements on subscription games and its response to the SG’s letter are clear,” the response reads. “Sony does not want attractive subscription services to threaten its dominance in the digital distribution market for console games. Microsoft said of Sony’s claims against Game Pass.
“Sony’s own PlayStation, incidentally, has an established base of loyal brand players. Such a finding, however, does not lead to the conclusion that the PlayStation – or any branded product with loyal consumers – is a separate market from all other consoles.” said Microsoft in response to the Call of Duty comments. “Extrapolating from such a finding to the extreme conclusion that Call of Duty is a ‘category of games per se’ is simply unjustifiable under any quantitative or qualitative analysis.”
Microsoft then goes a step further to accuse Sony of deliberately hampering down the growth of Xbox Game Pass. The document claims that Sony has been paying third-party companies for “blocking rights”, which essentially prevents them from adding their games to any competing subscription services.
“Microsoft’s ability to continue expanding Game Pass has been hampered by Sony’s desire to inhibit such growth,” claims Microsoft in an August 9th filing to the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), as translated from Portuguese. “Sony pays for ‘blocking rights’ to prevent developers from adding content to Game Pass and other competing subscription services.”
Microsoft has certainly made a compelling case against Sony’s claims to CADE. However, it is worth noting that Microsoft’s claims regarding Sony’s “blocking rights” remain unconfirmed by any external sources.

As a quick update, we have identified the issue on our end and working on a fix, but it may take some time still. Apologies, but I do not have an ETA.
No word on whether this includes any gameplay-related changes, but chances are, it won’t. If Blizzard releases any other info regarding today’s title update, we’ll update the post.

Today, EA and the NFL have revealed a multi-year partnership renewal for EA Sports Madden NFL Championship Series, MCS. The historic announcement follows one of the most successful MCS years in history with 4x broadcast increase for its average minute audience year-over-year.
MCS 23 calendar is now expected to be closely aligned with the NFL season. This will culminate with the Ultimate Madden NFL 23 Bowl during the same week as the Super Bowl LVII. A total of $1.7 million in total prize money will be up for grabs throughout the season.
The new MCS23 is also now set to have an expanded competitive program for all NFLS esports fans. This is the full list of upcoming tournaments and prize pools:

Both the NFL and EA will also partner up to innovate new experiences for all fans around the world. Campbell’s Chunky soup is set to return as an official Madden Championship Series partner with virtual naming rights to the Campbell’s Chunky Stadium.
In the latest press release, EA promises more information about the partnership in the coming months. It also reaffirms more information about the new EA Sports FC products will be made public in the summer of 2023.

Double Eleven has released RimWorld update 1.07, and this is for bug fixes more than anything else. This patch is out on all platforms, and the official RimWorld Console Edition August 10 patch notes are listed below.
