Evil Dead The Game Down and Experiencing Server Issues This May 13

With Evil Dead: The Game out today, players are no doubt trying to get some groovy time in the multiplayer game. Unfortunately, Evil Dead The Game down reports have surfaced this May 13, which means loads of people cannot connect to servers and play the online title.

Evil Dead The Game Down Status and Update This May 13:

Unfortunately, it sems loads of people cannot connect to the servers, while others are managing to get in. Our own James Lara is having a hard time connecting to the servers today.

Saber Interactive has not mentioned anything about it for now, but we’ll update the post if they do acknowledge the server issues.

Our review of the game is in progress, and given the server issues, don’t expect it to be out today or tomorrow, as we want to give it a proper playthrough before handing our verdict.

If you can connect (or can’t), leave a comment below and tell us which platform you’re playing on.

Report: New Silent Hill Concept Art and Details Leaked, Sony Still Involved

Those looking forward to a new Silent Hill game, it seems we finally have our first concrete details that it exists — if these recent details and concept art shots are to be believed.

Over on Twitter, horror gaming aficionado DuskGolem has shared what seems to be the first concept art for the new (and unannounced) Silent Hill game, alongside new details about it.

Unfortunately, the tweet featuring the concept art has been DMCA’d, which further adds legitimacy to the images given they were asked to be pulled from the platform:

Here’s a gallery featuring the images:

https://imgur.com/a/Xv8VTXj

Alongside the images, DuskGolem has shared quite a bit of info on Twitter and on ResetEra, which we’ve collected below.

The Japanese text in the last image in the gallery when translated reads (via totallywackman):

July 24th 2020

Dear Krista Neumann

The authorities have repeatedly requested an interview with you, but you have not responded at all. We consider this an unwillingness to resolve the problem and, in violation of section 1631(2) of the civil code, we are taking both of your children into custody by order of the Federal Court Officer.

If you wish to file a claim, please apply to the authorities and submit tour request for an interview as soon as possible.

Failure to do so will be considered abandonment and the authorities will proceed with temporary protection measures in accordance with their regulations. If this happens, any appeal will not be accepted.

Over on ResetEra, DuskGolem shares that the game is being developed by more than one studio, and wouldn’t confirm or deny whether Bloober Team (The Medium) is involved or not.

DuskGolem also confirmed that Sony is still involved:

DuskGolem also confirmed that the company that issued the DMCA takedown is Konami (who owns the Silent Hill IP):

It seems Masahiro Ito, Japanese video game artist known for his work on the  Silent Hill franchise, seems to be connected as well:

Same as any rumor/report, treat this one with a grain of salt, as nothing has been confirmed by Konami, Sony or anyone connected to the franchise. That said, this isn’t too hard to believe, as credible sites like Gematsu has confirmed back in October 2021 that a new Silent Hill game is indeed being developed alongside other Konami IPs.

For reference, the last Silent Hill game released was Silent Hill: Downpour which was way back in 2012. We did get P.T. from Hideo Kojima, which was supposed to be an all-new Silent Hill game, though that never materialized given the Konami-Kojima falling out.

Once we know more about this project, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Weird West Update 1.09 Drops for Patch 1.02 – May 13

WolfeEye Studios has released Weird West update 1.09, which is tagged as patch version 1.02 by the studio. This title update includes a short list of fixes, which was released earlier for PC. Read on for the Weird West May 13 patch notes.

Weird West Update 1.09 Patch Notes | Weird West May 13 Patch Notes:

Following the release of our 1.02 Patch last week, we did a series of hotfixes this week to address two blockers for which we had produced fixes this week, so that players who encountered them would not have to wait until the next major patch to get unblocked. And we also hot fixed two issues that had been introduced by Patch 1.02.

Those hot fixes address:

  • Snack not appearing in his “box” at Big Gulch Mine on a specific story path;
  • Sheriff Albright not letting you claim your Bounty Rewards while on the Galen’s Crossing Journey Objective;
  • Quest and Side Quest Item that could be erroneously dropped into Companions, Horse and Bank Safe inventory when using the new Posse UI introduced with Patch 1.02;
  • Tactical Mode which was not triggering anymore when opening the Class or Weapon Ability Wheel, which was an undesired side effect of some other fixes;

Our QA team is also currently working through bugs players reported using the Devolver Bug Report form so that we address as many of those as possible with Patch 1.03 (which like 1.02, will not only contain bug fixes but also new content and features, more on that soon!)

PS: Quick note if our Playstation players are reading this news bit, that we have made good progress with resolving our build system issue and should have the patch 1.02 in your hands very soon (it will directly contain all of 1.02+Hot Fixes).
If you haven’t checked the game out yet, our review gave it an 8.5/10, and spoke highly about its theme, characters and more.

New Need for Speed Game Being Developed by Criterion and Codemasters Cheshire

While EA has not made any formal announcements regarding a new Need for Speed game, we now have our first official confirmation that one is being developed, and which studios are involved.

Over on Twitter, the official Codemasters Twitter account announced that a new Need for Speed game is being developed by Criterion Games and Codemasters Cheshire. Adding more sauce to the news, the two studios are forming a new Criterion studio with two location hubs.

We can confirm Criterion Games and the development team at Codemasters Cheshire are officially coming together to create the future of @NeedforSpeed, forming one Criterion studio with two location hubs. [1/3]

This integration builds off the close partnership the two studios have developed over the past few months. [2/3]

Sharing common values and similar cultures, we strongly believe unifying the huge wealth of expertise across both teams will help us to deliver the best racing experiences we can for our players. [3/3]

No gameplay details or even an official title has been revealed, but at least we know the game is in safe hands with the two studios. There’s still no further details on when we’ll see a reveal, but I gather, sometime soon given this confirmation. What we do know is, the game is set to be released in Q3 fiscal year 2023 according to EA’s latest report.

Deep Rock Galactic Update 1.14 (PS5 1.000.015) Deployed This May 12

Ghost Ship has released the Deep Rock Galactic update 1.14 patch (PS5 version got patch 1.000.014 and 1.000.015 today), and this is for cross-gen fixes and more. Read on for the Deep Rock Galactic May 12 patch notes.

Deep Rock Galactic Update 1.14 Patch Notes | Deep Rock Galactic Update 1.000.015 Patch Notes | Deep Rock Galactic May 12 Patch Notes:

A new PlayStation patch is out!
Included fixes:
– Crossgen save transfer (PS4 to PS5) now works again
– Supporter pack chat icon and beer now work again
– Several important crash fixes.

This is the patch that we tried getting out last Friday, but because of some problems that arose, it got delayed. PS5 and PS4 versions are now on the same patch as the other platforms. The fix for PS4 trophies is being tested right now and should be ready for the next patch.

As for the PS4 trophies issue, it seems that is fixed as well, as the PS4 update history for update 1.14 has this listed:

  • Trophies are now fixed

We know the version numbers are confusing, and we’ve reached out to Ghost Ship about this as well. Hopefully, the next time the game gets a patch, it’ll be just one version for each platform.

Generation Zero Update 1.29 Out for Base Assault Hotfix This May 12

Systemic Reaction has released the Generation Zero update 1.29 patch today, and this one is for a hotfix for the Base Assault patch! Check out the full Generation Zero May 12 update patch notes below.

Generation Zero Update 1.29 Patch Notes | Generation Zero May 12 Update Patch Notes:

Today we’ve introduced some improvements to the game after the Base Assault Update and related issues. Thank you all for your reports and feedback! Please see below for the included updates:

  • Base Assualt is now working as intended
  • War Figurines Collectables are not displayed in the Log anymore after being wrongfully added

We’d love to hear what you think about the Base Assault so please feel free to share your experience with us, and others, on our Twitter page!

The Generation Zero Team

In addition, the Resistance Weapon Pack DLC is now out as well. Check out the details below.

The Resistance has started creating more makeshift weapons to ensure they can continue to fight the machines, even when more conventional ammo is hard to find. Which weapon will you wield – the Pitchfork, Heavy Bow, or Flamethrower?

Included in this pack you will find these new Resistance makeshift weapons, special ammo, and attachments:

  • Resistance Pitchfork

    – It might at first look like a simple farmer’s tool, but this pitchfork has been reinforced and transformed into an effective Resistance weapon. The pitchfork has excellent reach, which is great for doing damage from a safer distance.

  • Resistance Heavy Bow

    – Built using scavenged machine parts, this heavy bow packs a powerful punch, but requires more skill to use. The enhanced power of the bow also allows it to fire heavy, modified arrows, making this a versatile tool.

  • Resistance Flamethrower

    – While it may look like an accident waiting to happen, the flamethrower’s powerful napalm fuel causes massive damage to machines by sticking to them while it burns, quickly melting its vulnerable internal parts.

Special weapon ammo and attachments include:

  • Resistance Arrows

    – The Standard does a lot of damage to components, the Explosive detonates on impact dealing extra damage, and the Flare can be used to lure machines away or focus their fire.

  • 3-Pin Makeshift Bow Sight

    – This sight features three pins calibrated to hit at a certain distance, working best when the distance to the target is known.

  • Large Flamethrower Tank

    – A larger tank that can hold more fuel, letting you relentlessly melt enemy machines for longer without needing to refuel.

That’s about it for the patch. Stay tuned here at MP1st for more!

The Division 2 Update 1.38 Patch Notes | The Division 2 Tu15 Patch Notes | The Division 2 Season 9 Patch Notes | The Divison 2 May 12 Patch Notes:

Once the full patch notes are out, we’ll be sure to update the post, so sti tight and check this post from time to time.

Update: Here are the full patch notes:

Agents!

Title Update 15 is here, and we wanted to give you some information on the improvements and features that you can expect with it.

Season 9 “Hidden Alliance”

Title Update 15 marks the beginning of Season 9 “Hidden Alliance”. Hidden Alliance starts by showing the immediate consequences that followed the confrontation with Faye Lau at Camp White Oak.

Check out our dedicated article containing everything you need to know about what’s coming in “Hidden Alliance”.

Manhunt

Season 9 continues The Division narrative and Agents will be faced with a new target: Captain Lewis.

With Captain Lewis’ manhunt, you’ll have to take down 4 new targets: Major Castilla, Lieutenant Chang, Sergeant Daniels and Major Xander.

Expertise

We are introducing a brand-new progression feature, Expertise. This is a new way for agents to further improve the maximum performance of select weapons, gear sets, skill variants and more.

  • This feature is composed of two types of progression systems: the Expertise Level and the Proficiency Rank.
  • Each eligible item type has a Proficiency Rank, which can be increased either through Donations or Kill XP. Only when an item type reaches the highest Proficiency Rank possible, will the agent become Proficient with it and be able to increase the Grade of the individual items of that type. Every item type has the same amount of Proficiency Ranks.
  • Additionally, each agent has a unique Expertise Level, which increases as the Proficiency Ranks are gained in more item types
  • Expertise and Proficiency is account-wide

Changes based on the PTS feedback:

  • Lowered costs for Field Recon Data, SHD Calibration and Exotics Materials by half from level 11 up to level 20. Levels 1-10 and 21+ remain unchanged.
  • Reduced the materials requirements for all ranks of Gear pieces by another half. Now, Gear pieces will require two times less materials for upgrades to make it more consistent with the number of materials needed for Weapons and Skills upgrades.
  • Added “Donate All Junk” button into the main Expertise menu.

Types

  • Expertise Level: Agent level
  • Proficiency Rank: Item type level
  • Proficient: Reaching Max Proficiency Rank in an item type
  • Grade: Individual item level

Countdown

Countdown is a new 8-player endgame mode for The Division 2. Two groups of four SHD agents are deployed into a power plant to prevent a lockdown. Racing against the clock, the agents must work together to secure the site and stabilize the power plant. Believing their mission is complete the agents prepare for extraction and are pursued by heavily armed and technologically advanced hostiles.

  • 8 players PvE
  • Timed mission
  • Various objectives
  • Randomized encounters and flow on a new unique map
  • New gear and weapon drops
  • Available through matchmaking

NEW WEAPONS

Exotic Weapons

  • Dread Edict — exotic variation of the SVD Marksman Rifle
    • Talent Full Stop: Shooting enemies builds stacks to a cap of 20. Headshots grant 2 stacks. Each stack grants 2% Weapon Damage and 5% Headshot Damage. On reload, clear all stacks, and gain 5% of your max Armor as temp armour for 10 seconds for each stack removed. Headshot kills with Dread Edict restore all bullets in the magazine. This does not count as a reload.
  • Catharsis — exotic mask
    • Talent Vicious Cycle: Taking damage builds stacks to a cap of 30. Each stack grants 1% Weapon Damage. Taking damage at max stacks triggers a purge, removing all stacks and Status Effects and then dropping a healing cloud which restores 5% of Max Armor for 10s to all allies in the cloud.
  • Bluescreen — exotic variation of the Stoner LMG
    • Talent Disruptor Rounds: Shooting an enemy marks them and adds a stack to the agent up to a count of 50. Shooting a marked enemy refreshes the mark and adds stacks to the agent. When you deploy a non-shield skill, remove all stacks on agent and all marked targets trigger an effect.

    • Talent Perfect Flatline: Amplifies weapon damage by 20% to pulsed enemies. After 2 kills, applies pulse to the next enemy you hit.
  • Kingbreaker — TKB-408 Assault Rifle
    • Talent Perfect Flatline: Amplifies weapon damage by 20% to pulsed enemies. After 2 kills, applies pulse to the next enemy you hit.

Balance Adjustments

Adjustments have been made to the functioning of various talents in order to curtail undesirable behaviours and imbalance.

Overview

Modifications to shield skill behaviours

  • Shields now take significantly more damage in PvP.
  • Shields now irresistibly disorient their user when broken.

Excluded shields from the In-Sync Talent

  • In-Sync and Perfectly In-Sync no longer trigger from shield skills.
  • The text of these talents has been updated.

Updated Intimidate and Perfect Intimidate Talents

  • New Behaviour: While you have bonus armour, gain 1 stack each second up to a max of 7. Each stack increases total weapon damage by 5% to enemies within 10m.
  • All stacks are lost when you have no bonus armour.
  • Perfect Version: Increase max stacks to 8
  • PvP: 4% weapon damage per stack instead of 5

Design Notes

Shield skills have been unbalanced for quite some time and have grown to be a dominant build tactic in both PvE and PvP. Combined with In-Sync, shields provide an unparalleled, no-downsides DPS boost.

In addition, Intimidate when combined with various methods of gaining short-term bonus armour. This made it deeply unfair in ambush situations in PvP and led to an undesirable PvE meta as well. As such, Intimidate now requires a slow build-up before reaching maximum effectiveness.

Gameplay Adjustments

  • Added a disorienting effect to players when their shield breaks
  • Updated Intimidate and Perfect Intimidate so that there is a ramp-up to their effectiveness
  • Omit shields from the effects of the In-Sync talent
  • Increased the PvP damage to shield
  • Repair Traps now heal allies for the proper amount

Season Pass

The optional Season Pass is available for 1000 Premium Credits ($10 or your regional equivalent) in the in-game store, granting additional cosmetics and opportunities for season gear as you progress.

Apparel Events

Fairview Apparel Event

The Fairview Apparel Event will feature 27 new apparel items to gather, collect, and use to deck out your agent, starting on May 24th. This event is open to all Warlords of New York owners who have completed the New York campaign. Rewards and progress are automatically enabled at the start of the event.

Street Activation Event

The Street Activation Apparel Event will feature 27 new apparel items to gather, collect, and use to deck out your agent, starting on July 5th.

That’s it for this major patch. Stay tuned here at MP1st  for more!
