New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC to Feature Dyspo as Playable Character

Bandai Namco has revealed on the official Dragon Ball video game website that Dyspo will be included in the new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC pack “Awakening Warrior Edition Pack.” Fans may remember Dyspo first appearing in the Dragon Ball Super anime not too long ago.

Dyspo was a part of the Pride Troopers from Universe 11 that also included Jiren and Toppo. Dyspo will have some of his iconic moves in the game including the Justice Kick, Circle Flash, and much more.

Dyspo will also have a special technique that will be able to increase his speed and make him much stronger than in his base form. Alongside the new DLC, a free update is also due to be out for the game later this year.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out now for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia platforms. We will let you know soon about the release date for the new DLC.

Unfortunately, the official Ghost Recon Twitter account and the official Ubisoft Support account have not acknowledged the server outages so far. New Battlefield 2042 Survey for Feedback Sent Out by EA, Asks About Rental Servers, Portal Spatial Editor

EA has once again sent out a new Battlefield 2042 survey to select players, and once again, it is asking for feedback regarding the game, and even potential features that might or might not come via title updates.

Here are some of the questions in the survey (via Sailboat08). Also of note, Reddit users have verified that EA has sent out more than one kind of survey as well):

For those hoping to answer it themselves, unfortunately, this is a controlled survey, and accessing the survey link will probably won’t work (we tried). Battlefield Community Manager Kevin Johnson has also confirmed that these surveys are not part of the Core Feedback being done by DICE.

Players who want to get the survey emails and whatnot, you can check it out here (though there is no guarantee that you’ll be part of every survey roll out).

Don’t forget, not everything in the survey will come to fruition, so rented servers being asked is no guarantee that we’ll see in the game’s lifecycle; same with the other stuff, too. EA is seeking feedback first and foremost, and this is not a wishlist or something that will be coming in the game in future updates.

Aside from the survey, DICE has confirmed that we’ll be seeing a patch drop for the game this May, and we’re hoping we’ll hear more about that this coming week given we’re in the middle of the month already. Another thing we’re looking forward to is the Core Feedback article regarding Specialists, which DICE confirmed is the next topic.

If you got a Battlefield 2042 survey (or any other survey related to games) reach out to us via email (we’ll credit you, of course).

Report: Arma Reforger Leaked; Serves as a Foundation to Arma 4 and Is Coming to Consoles

In case you didn’t know, Bohemia Interactive is teasing an announcement for May 17 that mentions the “future of Arma.” Unfortunately, it seems that the big reveal has leaked, and it’s for “Arma Reforger” which seems to be Arma 4 built on a new engine, and is headed to consoles!

The marketing and branding materials have leaked via a pdf file that can be downloaded here. You can also check it out via the imgur gallery hosted by Reddit user PlzDontBlame.

https://imgur.com/a/3JqMOPB

Here are some of the key points from the presentation:

The Arma community is eagerly anticipating the announcement of Arma 4 and is aware that it will be made using Bohemia’s new Enfusion engine. This will be the first time that an Arma game is built on entirely new technology. Due to the challenges in switching to our new Enfusion technology, as well as internal/external goals for the product, Bohemia will not be able to deliver the full scope of Arma 4, with all its planned assets and mechanics, immediately on release

Arma Reforger will have a very strong multiplayer focus, but promises a degree of longevity with its Game Master scenario editor and dedicated modding support (including its own workshop).

– Contrary to prior instalments in the franchise, future Arma releases will be multi-platform titles. Arma Reforger is expected to launch on PC, Xbox (One/Series X), and PlayStation (4/5 in the future)
– Arma Reforger will be a premium product with stable and appropriate pricing
– There should be some basic in-game monetization in the future, but no DLCs or microtransactions are currently planned.

As mentioned in the pdf file, this new Arma will be comig to consoles (though it mentions that PS4/PS5 will be getting it later compared to PC and Xbox gamers.

Mind, none of this has been confirmed, and all the info mentioned above is from branding and marketing materials that could be outdated by now. Still, chances are this is the real deal, and we’ll more about Arma Reforger this coming week.

Ace Combat 7 Top Gun Collaboration Announcement Pulled From Social Media and Official Site (Update)

Announced just a few weeks ago, it seems that Bandai Namco, as well as the official Top Gun film page (Japan) have pulled the announcement of the Ace Combat 7 and Top Gun collaboration.

Update: The company has re-issued new tweets, as well as a trailer confirming that the collaboration is still on.

Original story:

Originally set to release sometime this spring as a paid DLC, both the official Twitter accounts of Project Aces and Bandai Namco, have mysteriously deleted any mention of the Ace Combat 7 Top Gun collaboration.

This isn’t just from the publisher and developer side either as the official Japanese page for the movie have also deleted the announcement post from their site, routing readers to a 404 page.

While there is no formal announcement that the collab has been cancelled, it is odd of both parties to remove any mention of the DLC, especially since it was just announced a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps they are letting the movie’s collaboration with Microsoft Flight Simulator to gain steam, bumping the release of the Ace Combat 7 DLC collab to later this year? Who knows, but we did reach out to Bandai for any possible comment and will update you should we hear back.

For those unaware, the Top Gun collab was set to introduce a new paid DLC for Ace Combat 7 that featured the following content:

  • F/A-18E Super Hornet
  • F-14A Tomcat
  • Top Gun themed emblems
  • Music rearrangement of Top Gun Anthem by Ace Combat composer Keiki Kobayashi.

No pricing was given at the time, though the publisher did note that we would be hearing more about it soon, presumably around the release of the film. Of course with their mentions now purged from social media accounts and websites, we may have to wait a bit longer than anticipated.

Destiny 2 Eververse & Iron Banner Changes for Season 17 Detailed; Rift Makes Its Return to Iron Banner

A huge wave of changes are on the horizon for Destiny 2 players, as Bungie has detailed the upcoming Eververse and Iron Banner changes that will be making its way in Season 17.  Check out the changes making its way to the game below, which is sure to be comprehensive especially for those who are avid enjoyers of the PvP system in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Iron Banner Changes:

To break it down simply, here is how the revamped Iron Banner reputation will work:
  • Play matches with each match earning more towards Iron Banner reputation.
  • Win matches to earn a small bonus based on your current Iron Banner rank.
  • Wear Iron Banner armor (or just as ornaments on your own non-Iron Banner gear) and equip Iron Banner weapons to max out your gear multiplier at 200%.
    • Five total pieces must be equipped, though please remember this includes Iron Banner armor and Iron Banner ornaments.
  • Complete the daily Iron Banner challenges to tack on 100% to your challenge multiplier for the rest of the week.
    • Yes, this means for each challenge.
  • Use an Iron Banner emblem for an additional 10% emblem multiplier.
All modifiers will be listed on the launch screen, seen below:
Daily challenges: For the first four days of each Iron Banner week, Guardians will unlock a new daily challenge. These challenges unlock each day whether you complete them or not, so if you log in on Friday, you can do them all in succession if you want to. Rewards will also stack reputation bonuses for the remainder of the week alongside a Pinnacle Iron Engram. The weekly bounties that typically award Pinnacles have been deprecated appropriately to balance out this change.
Becoming an Iron Lord: It’s not easy being cheesy or an Iron Lord, so there should be something a little extra spicy to reflect that hard work. With these new Iron Banner reworkings, a new Seal and title will also be available to earn. Don’t expect this one to be simple or an “easy grab.” Being an Iron Lord is no joke; it requires dedication, gumption, and some spiffy gear. To set expectations for this new Seal and title, Iron Lord hopefuls can expect to spend around 15 to 20 hours to unlock this flair. Some of the more hardcore players could unlock this in one week if focused, but we expect most players to need a second week – maybe even a second Season. Intrepid Iron Lords will be able to gild the title in Season 18.
Becoming a Young Wolf: “New quest, who dis?” For anyone that may be scratching their head at some of these changes, Lord Saladin will offer a brand-new quest that will introduce all of these features and demonstrate how they work. You only have to run through it once per account, but with this reset we wanted everyone to get the same introduction, even Iron Banner veterans will need to do this. In fact, you’ll need to start this quest to even access the Iron Banner node.
To even out this change and to welcome the new quest, we will no longer be producing the Seasonal Iron Banner quest. Which brings us to our next point:
Saladin hangs his “out to lunch, be back in 15 minutes” sign: Due to his increased responsibilities on Caiatl’s war council, he now runs Iron Banner in the Tower just twice a Season. Because Iron Banner will be more in-line with those annual events, you’ll never see Iron Banner run during those annual festivities. For Season 17, Iron Banner will run during these times:
  • Week 2 starts on May 31.
  • Week 8 starts on July 12.
Rift is back: If you’re like us, Rift has a very special place in that PvP-playing heart of yours. We’re excited to bring back this staple, but for those that may be new to what this is, here’s what you need to know. Rift is an objective-based Crucible mode that plays more like a game of soccer or rugby (but with pew-pew weapons and no passing) than it does Clash. Teams of Guardians will attempt to take the Spark from the middle of the map into the base of the enemy team and dunk it into the enemy Rift. One dunk equals one point, the first to make it to five points or to have the upper hand by the 10-minute mark wins.
  • A Spark appears in the center of the map a few seconds after a match starts or a point is scored and can be picked up by interacting with it for a couple seconds. The Spark itself is a buff that allows full weapon and ability usage aside from Super.
  • For the first five seconds after picking up the Spark, or for a few seconds after taking damage, both teams receive a waypoint for the Spark holder. After that, the waypoint only remains for the Spark holder’s own team—marking the Spark holder for your teammates is important!
  • If you die while carrying the Spark, it drops to the ground where you died (or nearby if the spot is not navigable).
  • If you hold onto the Spark too long, it detonates.
  • Team resurrections are enabled in Rift, so make sure and help your teammates in the middle of a push, or if you are playing defense.
  • There are no points for kills, just for Spark dunks, so playing the objective is key.
  • When Rift is in Iron Banner, the Hunt is on when your team has the Spark. When the music intensifies, it’s time to score!
  • There are several ways to extend matches past the time limit:
    • Continuation: At end of regulation time, If the current Spark holder could change the outcome of the match—either the game is tied, or if the current Spark holder is down one point—the match continues until the current Spark holder drops the Spark or scores.
    • Sudden Death Multispark: If there is a tie after time is up, the game enters a 90-second overtime where three sparks spawn in midfield. Who will be the first to score? Chaos reigns.
    • After the sudden-death timer is up, Sparks stop dropping on death, and any Sparks on the ground are removed. As soon as the last Spark is eliminated without a score, the match ends in a tie.
We have had a ridiculous amount of fun testing and tuning the mode internally; it plays so very differently than anything we have in the Crucible right now. It is available during the two weeks of Iron Banner during Season 17. It will be available as a rotator in the main Crucible playlists in Season 18.
Did someone say “new map”? In addition to Rift’s triumphant return, we also created a brand-new map specifically designed for this game made. It is one of our largest maps yet, but features areas that are made for different combat styles, particularly short, mid, and long-range combat.
The map is called Disjunction and is a symmetric map with a base on either end, three lanes with plenty of crossovers, and large backfields. It takes place in the swampy Pyramid area of Savathûn’s Throne World, so expect lots of many-butted horses, transparent brown glass, and art deco designs.
Disjunction will be available on day-one of Season 17 for all 6v6, 3v3, and Free -for -All modes in Crucible, as well as in Iron Banner.
Other Crucible changes: Season 17 is also bringing back Zone Control to Crucible. Zone Control, for anyone that might not be familiar, is a 6v6 mode like Control, only that Guardians don’t get any points for kills. This is intentional, because sometimes matching with random players can result in disjointed team play that can obscure objective focus. To keep all eyes on the objective, players will get points every 15 seconds for every zone that is in their control – so it is very much more diving into a defensive area control game that will allow players to highlight various skill and abilities, rather than just focusing on landing that headshot.
  • Each waypoint has a timer that shows when points are being awarded in addition to which team currently owns it.
  • Because this is a team effort mode, solo capping takes 22.5 seconds versus having a full fireteam playing together can cap a zone in 7.5 seconds. “Stronger together” isn’t just said because we like Saladin’s voice actor.
  • Cap all zones and dramatic music will intensify. Spooky.
Like with everything in the game, we’re always looking for feedback, especially as we continue making tweaks to the PvP experience. Zone Control will be launched via a new Crucible Labs node starting in Week 5 (June 21) and will be available until the end of the Season with the exception of when Iron Banner is live. Hit us with that feedback but just remember: stay together.
In addition to what’s new, we are also making some tuning changes to various existing Crucible modes:
Control
  • Team gains 1 point per participant when capturing a zone, rather than 1 flat point.
  • This is how it was in Destiny 1.
Elimination
  • Time limit is lowered to 90 seconds to match Trials of Osiris.
Mayhem
  • Points for Super kills increased to 3 (previously 2).
  • Increased score target to 200 (previously 150).
  • Decreased time limit to 7 minutes (previously 8).
Rumble
  • Increased time limit to 10 minutes (was 8).
Showdown
  • Increased round score targets to 15 (was 10).

That’s it for the huge list of changes to Iron Banner. Now, let’s take a look at all the changes coming to the Eververse store in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Eververse Changes:

We want to keep players in the loop when there are any changes to Eververse, both big and small. . In Season 17, Bright Dust acquisition from bounties and challenges will be the same as Season 16, but we are adding a voluntary option for rank purchases.
Much like in Season 16, rank purchasing will be available starting in week three. In addition, we will be offering a new rank package that includes 10 Season ranks that you can purchase only once a Season. Available in the Eververse Seasons tab on the first day of S17, there will be the option of the Season Pass plus 10 ranks for 2000 Silver, or a standalone option of 10 Season ranks for 1000 Silver if you already own the Season. Whichever option you go with, the 10 ranks can only be purchased once per account each season.

That’s it for the upcoming changes. Stay tuned for further updates and changes being prepared for Season 17 as we inch ever closer to a new season of Destiny 2!

Bloodhunt Anti-Cheat Update Revealed; First Mass Ban Wave Goes Live

With the game now in full swing on PC and PS5, Sharkmob has released a Bloodhunt anti-cheat update, with the developer revealing that they have now released the first wave of mass bans for players who were found cheating. Check out further details on it below, as well as how you can do your part to lessen cheating in Bloodhunt.

Here’s the update on the Bloodhunt anti-cheat as per the official page:

Player reporting and monitoring

The main weapon that we have against cheaters is that we have a dedicated team that is continuously looking all the various reports that we get, and monitors for cheaters and hackers through various means.

So far we have banned about ~755 accounts and continue to ban roughly around ~50 accounts on average per day through this process.

While we cannot win over cheaters completely, we are making it as annoying as possible for people that cheat by removing them quickly, which means that they would need to go through the hassle of creating a new Steam and Sharkmob account to play again to begin with.

The success of this is very dependent on player reports, so we appreciate that you keep being vigilant.

From our sampling of servers we could confirm that the most extreme cheaters are quite rare for the moment, but we agree that when they do appear they ruin the entire server so we need to continue being on top of this.

Banning based on mathematically impossible circumstances

The next step for us is to start banning players based on impossible values and patterns.

We are starting to get a very good idea of what the best of the best players are capable of, and we have caught some players that are often at least twice as good as the best players in the world.

To compare, this would be the same as someone being able to continuously break the world record in 100-meter sprint, which of course is highly unlikely and technically even breaks the laws of physics as its only possible to move the input device with precision at a certain speed as a human.

Players that have previously cheated and get caught will get banned retro actively as well, as we have statistics for our game covering the entire player base.

Cheating has no place in Bloodhunt, and we have zero tolerance for this as it wastes precious development time that could have been better spent improving the gameplay instead and additionally sours the experience for our player base.

Easy Anti-Cheat bans

Easy Anti-Cheat is always looking for hackers trying to manipulate the Bloodhunt executable in memory in various ways.

It takes some time to gather and analyze all the various information but once we have identified and securely confirmed the various hacks, we activate the ban wave katana which bans multiple accounts at once.

This also renders the existing caught hacks as useless as players will get instantly flagged if detected.

This is an endless battle however as cheat making is a lucrative business, and new cheats with new methods of cheating are constantly developed but our intention is to act as fast as possible when a new cheat is detected to get them out of play as fast as possible.

Also, we are happy to tell you that yesterday we unleashed our first Katana Ban Wave which resulted in the termination of almost 900 accounts.

Sharkmob also revealed that they are looking into implementing 2FA (two-factor authentication) for the game; as Bloodhunt is free-to-play, implementing something like this will help with weeding out those who make multiple accounts in order to cheat.

In case you missed it, check out details on the Bloodhunt battle pass here, currently live for the game.

Max Payne 3 – The Official Soundtrack: Anniversary Edition Announced, Coming to Digital & Vinyl

To celebrate its 10th year anniversary this Sunday, Rockstar Games has annouunced the Max Payne 3 – The Official Soundtrack: Anniversary Edition, coming to players via digital streaming and platforms and limited-edition vinyl. Check out further details on this amazing collectible below.

Featuring the evocative music of L.A. noise band HEALTH, Max Payne 3 – The Official Soundtrack (Anniversary Edition) also debuts previously unreleased tracks from the game.

Delivering a dark and driving industrial soundscape reflective of Max’s blurred and frayed mental state and the heavy atmosphere of the Max Payne series, HEALTH’s score for Max Payne 3 pushed their signature melancholy noise rock sound in new directions, with the track “TEARS” becoming a staple in the band’s captivating live shows.

Here are some more details on Max Payne 3:

For Max Payne, the tragedies that took his loved ones years ago are wounds that refuse to heal.

No longer a cop, close to washed up and addicted to pain killers, Max takes a job in São Paulo, Brazil, protecting the family of wealthy real estate mogul Rodrigo Branco, in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. But as events spiral out of his control, Max Payne finds himself alone on the streets of an unfamiliar city, desperately searching for the truth and fighting for a way out.

Combining cutting edge shooting mechanics with a dark and twisted story, Max Payne 3 is a seamless, highly detailed, cinematic experience from Rockstar Games.

Kadokawa Considering “Number of Measures” to Help Gamers Continue Playing Elden Ring

While Elden Ring is a massive game, a lot of players have already finished the main quest, which shouldn’t be surprising given how long it’s been out in the market. Based on FromSoftware parent company Kadokawa’s latest financial reports, it seems some type of Elden Ring DLC is being considered.

In Kadokawa’s quarterly earnings report where the company mentioned that Elden Ring shattered expectations in sales given it has sold 13.4 million units, with the original target just being four million, it also mentioned that they are working on ways for player retention for Elden Ring (question 11).

Q: What is the forecast sales and copies shipped for ELDEN RING for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023?

A: We do not disclose forecasts regarding sales and number of copies shipped for individual titles. We are considering a number of
measures to help customers continue to enjoy this title.

Does this mean that Elden Ring DLC is incoming? I wouldn’t be shocked if that was the plan. Either that or in-game events, or free title updates that bring in new missions, bosses and more. Perhaps we’ll see more of the cut content that was dug up recently?

If we do get Elden Ring DLC, what do you want to FromSoftware focus on? Let us know down in the comments.

Elden Ring Currently the Best-Selling Game of 2022; 2nd in Sales for April 2022

FromSoftware is celebrating a landmark year, as – currently, at the time of writing – Elden Ring is still the best-selling game of 2022, while retaining quite a high spot in sales (second) in the month of April. It’s worth noting that Elden Ring also managed to edge out Call of Duty Vanguard for that top spot in units sold this 2022, which is no lean feat considering the COD franchise.

The report comes from Mat Piscatella of the NPD Group, who stated this on Twitter:

https://twitter.com/matpiscatella/status/1525097629293551617

US NPD PREMIUM GAMES – Elden Ring was the 2nd best-selling title of April 2022. Elden Ring remains the best-selling game of 2022 year-to-date and has surpassed Call of Duty: Vanguard to become the best-selling premium game of the trailing 12-month period ending April 2022.

Elden Ring released back in February, and for it to retain its steam for two months is an impressive feat. It will be interesting to see just how long it can keep this up, especially as more heavy hitters come to the fray later this year.

It’s no wonder Elden Ring is enjoying all this attention, as Sean writes here in his review: “It’s remarkable how well From has managed to expand to a truly open world while keeping their core gameplay intact as well as building on top of it in one massive and impressively polished package. Elden Ring is clearly the culmination of FromSoftware’s past 13 years of experience and development philosophy of the souls franchise. Miyazaki and FromSoftware have crafted something so massive, special, wondrous and triumphant that it’s unfathomable how they can top it. Easily FromSoftware’s best game to date and a genuine masterpiece.”
