GTA 5 PC Update for March 4 Brings Current-Gen Console Features; Oscar Guzman Flies Again Mission Now Live in GTA Online

[summaraize]

GTA 5 just got a massive update on PC, which finally brings the game’s version up to par with the next-gen update released exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series a few years ago.

This update has more, though. Now available on all platforms is a brand-new GTA Online mission, Oscar Guzman Flies Again.

GTA 5 Free PC Upgrade Adds Next-Gen Enhancements

For those who own GTA 5 on either Steam, Epic Games Store, or the Rockstar Launcher, you’ll be glad to know that the next-gen update is finally available on PC. The update is entirely free for those who own the game and include the following features:

  • Ray tracing features only available on PC such as ambient occlusion and global illumination — plus ray traced shadows and reflections first debuted on consoles
  • Support for AMD FSR1 and FSR3, and NVIDIA DLSS 3
  • Faster loading times using SSD and DirectStorage on supported devices and configurations
  • Enhanced support for higher resolutions, higher aspect ratios, and higher framerates
  • DualSense® controller support, with adaptive triggers
  • Enhanced audio with support for Dolby Atmos and improved fidelity of speech, cinematics, and music

All I can say is it’s about damn time, and I’m glad to finally see these features (and more) arrive on PC after so many years.

Elsewhere, GTA: Online also received an update on all platforms, bringing the following new content:

  • Oscar Guzman Flies Again missions, partnering with the notorious smuggler Oscar Guzman and taking down the private military Eberhard Munitions
  • Four new Arms Trafficking missions, stealing deliveries from Oscar’s rivals and dropping them off to clients
  • The historic McKenzie Field Hangar Property, complete with:
  • a Duster plane and an unlockable Western Duster 300-H prop plane
  • 15 additional aircraft storage slots for Smuggler Hangar owners
  • the ability to request a Personal Aircraft
  • New Career Progress bonuses on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and now PC with today’s free upgrade
  • New Vehicles: The Invetero Coquette D5, Titan 250 D, Buckingham DH-7 Iron Mule, and Western Duster 300-H
  • New GTA+ Benefits: A free to claim Invetero Coquette D5, 30% off the McKenzie Field Hangar, the GTA+ Classics Collection featuring a free Principe Deveste Eight (Super) along with special Chameleon Paints, liveries, clothing, and more
  • More to come, including a smoked-out version of Hunting Pack coming just in time for 4/20, exciting Community Challenges, and holiday celebrations

As a reminder, GTA 6 is still set to release this fall according to Take-Two.

Rumor: Gears of War Collection for PS5/Xbox to Be Revealed at Xbox Showcase; E-Day Release Set for 2026

[summaraize]

With Xbox currently putting its first-party games on other platforms, a new rumor has surfaced that one of the company’s biggest IPs is making its way to PlayStation.

As the title states, it’s none other than Gears of War! For years now, a “Gears of War Collection” has been rumored to be in development, though nothing official has been announced. Could that be changing this year? If this new rumor rings true, then PlayStation players are in for a treat.

Gears of War Collection Planned for Release on PS5/Xbox Series

Reliable leaker (mostly of Xbox info) eXtas1s has pushed out a video wherein he said a source tipped him that the long-rumored Gears of War Collection will be revealed this June and released this year on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We’ve also reported on this rumor last month, where the same leaker mentioned it will have crossplay available at launch.

Before anyone jumps for joy and celebrates, remember: this is a rumor and is not official. That said, given Xbox’s multi-platform strategy, it wouldn’t surprise us if this is the case. I mean, Gears of War on PlayStation? Yeah, I can imagine that selling a ton.

The rumor doesn’t end there, as the same report also claims that Gears of War E-Day, which was revealed in June of last year, is said to be targeting a 2026 release. We haven’t heard much about the game after its initial announcement, so this makes sense if it’s not planned for release before the year is over.

There’s not a lot known about E-Day so far other than its story. “Fourteen years before Gears of War, war heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago return home to face a new nightmare: the Locust Horde. These subterranean monsters, grotesque and relentless, erupt from below, laying siege on humanity itself.”

Rumor: Call of Duty 2026 to Be Modern Warfare 4 and Being Developed on Next Xbox Devkits

[summaraize]

We’re not even halfway through 2025, and yet, there’s already a rumor about next year’s Call of Duty game. Not only that, but the game is said to be in development using the nexr-gen Xbox console.

Before diving in, remember that these are rumors and nothing has been announced or confirmed so far, so take everything with a grain of salt.

Call of Duty 2026 Is Said to Be Modern Warfare 4

The rumor comes from Call of Duty leaker Ghost of Hope. According to the leaker, there will be no last-gen support (PS4, Xbox One) for Call of Duty 2026. Its UI (User Interface) is similar to older games, and will be more traditional than Black Ops 6.

The game engine used in development is said to have been overhauled, addressing Modern Warfare 2 issues like “visual clutter.” COD 2026 is also claimed to be in development using dev kits for the next Xbox.

Finally, the report mentions Warzone 3 won’t be released if Verdansk fails to retain the game’s current player base. Verdansk is rumored to be making a comeback in Warzone in Season 3.

There are some lofty claims, and again, these are rumors and nothing has been confirmed or debunked by anyone in Activision or any Call of Duty studio. Are devs already working on Call of Duty 2026? Undoubtedly. Is it on the new Xbox hardware? Maybe. If that’s the case, this means we should be close to getting the next-gen consoles. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll see the next Xbox released in 2026.

Do you believe any of these claims? More importantly, do you think we’ll be seeing the next-generation of Xbox soon?

PlayStation Announces New Beta Program for PS5 and PC to Test Features and New Games

[summaraize]

PlayStation is expanding its beta testing beyond the scope of system software. Today, they announced a brand-new PlayStation beta program that will see gamers potentially try out and test new games across PS5 and PC, new console features, and other PlayStation experiences.

Registration is officially open to all who have access to a PlayStation account.

PlayStation Beta Program Expands With New Features, and to PC

As announced on the official PlayStation Blog, registration for PlayStation’s new bet program is now open to all PlayStation Network account holders. Previously, their beta program was strictly related to console firmware updates and features, but with this new rollout, gamers will have the opportunity to test out features across several different PlayStation-related things, such as the PlayStation App, website, and even games on PC.

Sid Shuman, Senior Director and Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Communications had this to say about the new program:

“The Beta Program at PlayStation will create an easy, centralized place for you to register your interest in a range of future PlayStation betas. A single registration for Beta Program at PlayStation will allow you to express interest in gaining beta access to test participating games for the PS5 console and PC, new PS5 console features, PlayStation App features, and even user experience features on PlayStation.com. You only need to sign up once to express interest in these various betas, and if you receive an invitation to a specific beta, it’s up to you to decide whether you’d like to participate or not.”

Potential beta tests include the following:

  • Playtest games on your PS5 Console  – Get access to new games and give us your expert opinion to influence improvements before release day. Testing focus areas may include game concepts, and trials at early, mid, or later stages of game development.
  • Playtest games on your PC – Get your hands on new games at various stages of development to help us create incredible PlayStation experiences on PC.
  • PS5 console features – Play your part in testing new on-console functionality, system software and innovations. This may include appraising features, providing feedback on design and usability, or participating in surveys about existing features and cutting-edge concepts.
  • PlayStation App features – Help us evolve and enhance our mobile app by evaluating current features, experimenting with new updates and designs, and letting us know what you think.
  • PlayStation.com features – Be among the first to explore exciting new website features, content and updates, and give us your feedback to help shape an even better online experience for everyone.

He notes that sign-up does not guarantee test access; it only enables you to be considered for one.

Risk of Rain 2 Update 1.16 Drops for Phase 2

[summaraize]

Developer Gearbox has released Risk of Rain 2’s Phase 2 of the roadmap, which brings the False Son boss fight, item changes and more.

Players on consoles should see this as Risk of Rain 2 update 1.16/1.003.700, and it has the same patch notes as the PC version.

Risk of Rain 2 Phase 2 Update Patch Notes Bring Chunky List of Changes

False Son Boss Fight

  • Improved attack, movement and transition animations across all phases of the encounter.
  • Altered health, scaling and damage dealt by False Son Boss to make the encounter an appropriate challenge depending on the length of your run, including giving him Adaptive Armor similar to the other end game bosses.
  • Improved telegraphing of all attacks during the fight to reduce unexpected deaths.
  • Improved visual cues to better communicate False Son/Encounter abilities and effects.
  • Improved False Son pathfinding around the arena.
  • Reduced Stone Golem spawns during the encounter.
  • Adjusted Lunar Pillar cover in the arena.

Void Fields

We have made some changes to the Void Fields, such as increasing the challenge to better balance the massive boost in player-power this hidden realm represents, and also to reduce the viability of tactics that take advantage of infinitely spawning monsters while time is frozen.

  • While a Void Cell is active, time stops while you are inside the safe zone, however time resumes when any player is outside taking damage from the Void Fog. Time remains paused while you are moving from cell-to-cell between rounds.
  • Void Fog damage now very slowly ramps-up over time preventing excessive time chillin’ in the Void. It is a much slower increase than other versions of Void Fog (such as Simulacrum) giving you ample time moving from cell-to-cell between rounds.
  • Items are now added to the monster item pool sooner if players are taking an excessive amount of time to complete a Void Cell.

Item Changes

Based on community feedback since the previous Seekers of the Storm item update (thank you to everyone who completed the survey and gave us feedback in Discord) we have made some balance changes to the items introduced with the DLC.

  • Unstable Transmitter can now only be activated once per stage and barrier gain has been reduced to 35% of maximum health (was 75%.) Item regenerates at the start of each stage. One Shot Protection removed.

  • Rebalanced Gold to XP ratio of Longstanding Solitude.
  • The base speed benefit of Elusive Antlers has been removed. You can now only gain speed by collecting the orb drops.
  • Growth Nectar now grants 4% increase to all stats (down from 7%) for each buff, up to a maximum of 4 (+4 per stack.) No longer increases base stat increase with additional stacks.
  • Warped Echo first-hit damage reduction lowered to 20% (was 30%.) Delayed damage ticks can now benefit from items such as Planula and Razorwire (and others!)
  • Warbonds proc chance reduced to 0 (was 1) and increased base cost of additional missiles from 25 to 50 gold.
  • Base damage increase of Breaching Fin reduced to 10% (was 20%) however each additional juggle increases damage by 10% (with a single item the total bonus is 30% with a fully-juggled enemy, gaining further stacks of Breaching Fin gives you an extra juggle and a further +10% damage for each additional juggle.)
  • Attack speed bonus of Bolstering Lantern has been reduced from 10% to 7.5% per enemy within 20 meters.
  • Loot chance from Sonorous Whispers has been rebalanced to favour white items.
  • Reduced the audio volume of the Chronic Expansion beeps when the effect is due to fall-off.

Enemy Changes

  • Revised Halcyonite Whirlwind attack to address odd pursuit behavior.
  • Improved Halcyonite hitbox to better match the visuals.
  • All 3 blasts of Halcyonite’s tri-laser now track the player.
  • Scorch Worm HP has been reduced.
  • Running over a buried Scorch Worm should now be more consistent in forcing them to come above ground.

Other Changes

  • Added an alternate way to enter the Path of the Colossus.
  • If you choose to continue your run after Prime Meridian the stage count will no longer increment, for example if you enter the Path of the Colossus on stage 1, when you complete Prime Meridian you will enter a stage 4 variant (previously you would always be taken to Helminth Hatchery.)

Bug Fixes

  • Holding Sawmarang equipment will no longer apply bleed when using Electric Boomerang (for real this time!!)
  • Removed several instances where debug text would appear in place of the intended text.
  • Burn debuff no longer removes other DoT debuffs when it expires.
  • Debuffs will now correctly trigger the Death Mark effect when being transferred between enemies via Noxious Thorn.
  • The Bazaar shopkeeper has found their voice once again.
  • Eccentric Vase’s Tunnel no longer collides with the visual indicator of Bolstering Lantern.
  • Warbonds is now blacklisted from the Scavenger item pool.
  • Enemies introduced in SotS can now appear on stages when using Artifact of Dissonance.
  • Verdant Falls should now correctly be accessible when looping with SotS disabled.
  • Fixed issue where a client leaving and rejoining a multiplayer run after charging the TP with the Artifact of Delusion enabled would cause all reset chests to no longer be functional.
  • Environment Logs are now correctly considered in the “Collectables” line of the Profile Stats page.
  • Fixed multiple issues during split-screen play on next-gen consoles concerning permissions when the game is paused.
  • Fixed a couple of spots where the player could clip through terrain on Commencement and Siren’s Call.
  • Engineer will now display their walk animation correctly when using a controller and only very slightly moving the stick.

Known Issue

  • Completing the Void Fields will once again increment the stage counter – this is unintended and will be reverted in a future update.

Expect Phase 3 to be released by Gearbox later this year.

Civilization 7 Update 1.000.003 Released for 1.1.0 on March 4 Implements Community Suggestions

[summaraize]

Firaxias has released Civilization 7 update 1.000.003/1.03, which the studio tags as version 1.1.0. Players on both consoles and PC can download the free title update, which brings a sizable chunk of improvements.

Alongside the gameplay improvements, this patch also brings the first half of the paid Crossroads of the World Collection that’s included in the Deluxe and Founder’s Editions of the Civ 7.

Civilization 7 New Update 1.1.0 Brings Community Suggestions as Part of Download 1.03/1.000.003

Update 1.1.0 includes a number of updates based on community suggestions and feedback. A full list of update notes will be shared on release, but some notable callouts of what you can expect include the following:

  • New Natural Wonder to discover: Bermuda Triangle (free to all players)
  • Additional UI adjustments, polish, and addressing of reported issues
  • Significant changes to the Modern Age’s Cultural Legacy Path and Victory; AI leaders will also be better at completing a Cultural Victory (so expect fewer Explorer Unit stacks!)
  • Now able to convert Holy Cities in the Exploration Age. Note that when players create their own Missionary Units, they will always follow the player’s chosen Religion
  • Naval Units will be able to disperse Coastal Independent Powers
  • Balance pass on several Mementos
  • Refinements to the Army Unpacking action
  • Addressing reported issues with multiplayer and adding friends with a 2K Account
  • For console players: all prior updates from Update 1.0.1 Patches 1, 2, and 3 will be implemented, in addition to the items noted above

The first in-game event, Natural Wonder Battle, that was originally planned to be released alongside this patch has been postponed at a later date. Firaxis says it’s to “prioritize quality-of-life improvements for players worldwide.” As of the moment, the studio has no date when it’ll be released.

This patch also brings Crossroads of the World Collection – Part 1 available for those who bought the Deluxe Edition and Founder’s Edition of Civ 7.

  • Crossroads of the World Collection – Part 1: The first half of the paid Crossroads of the World Collection includes the new leader Ada Lovelace, the new civs Great Britain (Modern Age) and Carthage (Antiquity Age), and the Natural Wonder Pack including four new Natural Wonders: Machapuchare, Mount Fuji, Vihren, and Vinicunca.

What’s Next for Civilization 7?

Firaxias has revealed the game’s next update is due for release on March 25 as version 1.1.1. We’ve also gotten a preview of what to expect from the update.

Update 1.1.1 Coming March 25

  • Additional UI improvements and refinements; specifics will be shared later with the Update 1.1.1 Notes
    • Note: Ongoing improvements to the User Interface continues to be a top priority for the development team. The updates being introduced on March 25 are just one part of a much larger plan that aims to improve the UI over the next several months.
  • Scouting and Settling improvements for AI, including less aggressive “forward” settling by AI
  • Adding Quick Move functionality
  • Adding the ability to customize the names of Commanders and Cities
  • Renaming the existing maps to be “Start Position: Balanced,” which will be the default Start Position setting for multiplayer games
  • Adding a new Start Position of “Standard,” where the landforms on maps are less predictable, closer to how map generation works in Civ VI
  • Adding an optional Restart button that rerolls the player’s map generation now that these less predictable start positions are possible
  • New Natural Wonder: Mount Everest (free to all players)

Update 1.1.1 will also include the second half of the paid Crossroads of the World Collection**, which is included in both the Deluxe Edition and Founders Edition of Civilization VII. This includes a new leader, Simón Bolívar, and two new Civilizations with Bulgaria (Exploration Age) and Nepal (Modern Age).

Once that patch is live, we’ll let our readers know.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Update 1.006.002 Delivers Hotfix 6.2

[summaraize]

Developer Saber Interactive has released Warhammer 40K: Spacer Marine 2’s new 6.2 hotfix today, March 4, 2025. Expect minor balancing tweaks and crash fixes to be the focus.

Players on consoles should see this as Space Marine 2 update 1.006.002. The complete patch notes for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S are available below.

Space Marine 2’s New Update Adjusts Perks

PATCH NOTES

General Fixes

  • Datavault ordeal Shredding Shrapnel now requires to kill 2 enemies simultaneously with a single frag grenade instead of 3.
  • Fixed an issue with the AI Director that could sometimes spawn too many spore mines for a very long period.
  • Fixed several issues that would cause the Assault class to teleport back after using its Jump Pack ability.
  • Minor localization fixes.

Perk PvE Updates

Note: Overall we are quite happy with 6.0 perks rebalance, we are seeing way more build variety for all classes across all difficulties and seeing people experimenting with their builds more. That being said, there are still some perks that will require more attention or even full rework. We will be monitoring the situation and will be making necessary tweaks.

Heightened Vigour:

  • Fixed not triggering by perfect Parry or Block in some cases.

Close Targeting:

  • Damage increased from 15% to 25%.

Concentrated Fire:

  • Bonus duration of the Auspex Scan zone increased from 40% to 60%.

Perseverance:

  • Damage reduction bonus increased from 15% to 25%.

Restless Fortitude:

  • Damage reduction bonus increased from 20% to 40%.

Tactical Prowess:

  • Minimum enemy HP for auto finisher increased from 25% to 33%.

Unmatched Zeal:

  • Health regen bonus increased from 20% to 30%.

Block Break:

  • Damage increased from 25% to 50%.

Evasion:

  • Fixed typo in the description, now it shows correct cooldown of 30 seconds instead of 15 seconds.

Efficient Readiness:

  • Fixed typo in the description, now it shows correct 20% movement boost instead of 10%.

Pattern of Excellence:

  • Fixed typo in the description, now it shows correct cooldown of 30 seconds instead of 180 seconds.

Note: This perk was buffed in the 6.0 patch, but localization was not updated and it was missing in patch notes.

Chapter Banner (starting perk):

  • Bonus health increased from 20% to 30%.

Emergency Countermeasure:

  • Cooldown reduced from 120 to 90 seconds.

Defensive Mastery:

  • Cooldown reduced from 120 to 90 seconds.

Glory’s Shield:

  • Now the perk protects not only from Ranged Damage but from all incoming Damage.

Note: This should improve support Bulwark build a lot, since this perk doesn’t impact Banner cooldown

Invigorating Icon:

  • The ability regeneration slowdown has been fixed, but the regeneration penalty is now -50% instead of -100%.

Note: This perk has been discussed a lot in previous patch notes and here are my honest thoughts on this:

Saber Interactive: “We’ve made a mistake making this perk in the first place. It changes the class behavior too much from what was originally intended. Bulwark is supposed to tank enemies and support his team mates, he isn’t a dedicated healer. But players are now used to this playstyle a lot and now absolutely any change to this perk will cause negativity from the community.

The perk itself is so powerful that it is simply mandatory, plus it also changes how the ability is used. Unlike other classes where abilities are used whenever the player wants, it turns the banner into an ability that the player saves for the very last moment.

In our game it is absolutely fine, if you want to use it that way, but the problem is that with certain other perks you can bring its cooldown to ~20 seconds. This means that not picking this perk will be detrimental to your squad. No matter what the numbers on the neighboring perks, players will always stick to the ability to fully heal when needed.

We want to come back and rework this perk or, rather, perk column in later patches, but this requires some time of experimenting and testing. For now we are tweaking numbers to make a compromise between previous patch and community feedback.”

Fortitude:

  • Health increases from 20% to 30%.

Conversion Field:

  • Radius increased from 10 to 20 meters.

Weapons Balancing

Power Sword

Note: We are very happy with the current melee balance. All melee options are now viable and getting picked by players across all difficulties. However, we see that Power Sword isn’t strong enough, compared to much easier to wield Chainsword. It takes more skill to use the Power Sword properly, but the benefit wasn’t that great. We want to adjust this a little.

  • Overall base damage increased by 5%
  • Power Stance combo damage additionally increased:
    • Attack 1 +10%
    • Attack 2 +20%
    • Attack 3 +30%”

Tech

  • Crash fixes and general stability improvements.
  • General connectivity improvements.

Those are a lot of changes for a minor hotfix. Stay tuned for more Space Marine 2 updates, as Saber Interactive will be offering more free content in the coming months.

Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.000.040 Fixes Ingredient Center, Story Progression Issues

[summaraize]

Capcom has released the latest Monster Hunter Wilds patch on March 4 on PC and consoles. While a minor patch that doesn’t bring in any new content, Moster Hunter Wilds update 1.000.040 does bring in fixes to the Ingredient Center and other story progression issues plaguing players since launch.

The download clocks in at 1.4GB on PS5, and doesn’t seem to bring in any performance improvements (sorry, PC players!) or any balance changes to weapons and monsters.

Monster Hunter Wilds New Update Fixes Story Progression, Quest Issues in Patch 1.000.040

The fixes included in today’s patch according to Capcom are:

PATCH NOTES

  • The “Grill a Meal” and “Ingredient Center” features cannot be unlocked even after meeting the progress criteria.
  • When heading to Azuz during Main Mission: Chapter 2-1 “Toward Fervent Fields,” players keep falling through the map.
  • The Monster Field Guide cannot be accessed.
  • During Main Mission: Chapter 5-2 “A World Turned Upside Down,” an NPC may not appear, preventing further progression.
  • At the Smithy, an issue may occur where tutorials are repeatedly shown, disabling certain options in the menu.
  • When guarding a monster’s attack with a lance using Power Guard under certain conditions, the weapon flashes in red but the effect is not activated
  • When using a mantle, a Weapon Equipment Skill may mistakenly be activated.
  • Some effects may be displayed continuously when using certain skills, such as Peak Performance and Self-Improvement.
  • When successfully preforming an Offset Attack with the Insect Glaive’s Descending Slash under certain conditions, the hunter freezes and becomes unresponsive to any controls.
  • Addressed issues that occurred under certain conditions with screen rendering and causing force quits.

KNOWN ISSUES AS OF MARCH 2, 2025:

  • A network error occurs when firing an SOS flare right after a quest begins
  • Link Members are not prioritized over other players and may not appear in some places including Base Camps
  • Palico’s attacks with blunt weapons do not inflict stun and exhaust damages

That’s about it. Again, Capcom has not said anything about the patch improving performance for the PC version of the game. Hopefully, we’l get that before Title Update 1 drops next month.

If you’ve yet to play the game, go read our review where we state, “Monster Hunter Wilds is a great entry in a fantastic franchise. While there are a lot of mechanics to consider, the game’s tutorials should help most new players to quickly acclimate and join the upper ranks of hunters in no time.”

Once another patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know about it ASAP. Make sure to bookmark MP1st for the latest game updates.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gameplay Settings You Need to Change

[summaraize]

If you’re new to the Monster Hunter franchise, chances are, you’re confused a bit in how everything works in Monster Hunter Wilds given there’s a ton to understand before you get the hang of the game. While getting to understand monster patterns, which weapons to use all take time, we’re here to help you adjust some of the in-game settings the best way possible.

Whether you’re starting out or already playing, read on to learn about some of the Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay settings you’ll want to change ASAP.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gameplay Settings for the Best Experience

Tweak Camera Distance View – Go to settings, and change this from 1 to what value you’ll be comfortable with  to see any incoming enemies (max is at 10). Given how the game has multiple rampaging beasts attacking you at once often, it’s best to be able to see them easily, and having everything zoomed in too much will prevent you from seeing attacks from other angles.

Turn Off Motion Blur – This is something that you should be doing in almost all games. Turn off the motion blur since it contributes nothing to the experience other than maybe making things appear more cinematic? But at the expense of eye strain or motion sickness? Yeah, turn this off immediately.

Change Your Mini-Map Settings to “Fixed”– In Monster Hunter Wilds, your map “rotates” with your character. The main problem here is, it sometimes gets a little disorienting when trying to go to a specific area. Change it to fixed, so it stays put and makes it easier to navigate.

Bonus Tip: Don’t forget to use the Fast Travel optionin your map to save time. You can fast travel to camps you’ve unlocked.

Bonus Tip #2: Don’t forget to use your map filter on the bottom left. You can even switch it to the item you’re trying to find to craft items.

Seikret Auto-Explore Off – While the Seikret’s auto-drive feature is a nice feature that you can use to auto navigate the game’s expansive levels, turn the Auto-Explore to off so your Seikret doesn’t roam on their own if you don’t want them to. This is a minor one, but it helps.

Turn Focus Mode to “Toggle”– This is more on preference, but if your fingers get tense or tired from pressing L2 to Focus, turn it to toggle, so you can just hit it once, and it’ll be in Focus mode until you hit it again. Saves some wear and tear on your controller’s spring and your fingers.

Disable Auto-Sheate – This one is something franchise fans are familiar with, but it bears repeating nonetheless. Disable auto-sheate for weapons, as the game has this nasty habit of sometimes sheating your weapon when you need to actually use it to hit a monster. This will lead to missed combos, missed opportunities to land a major attack when a monster is whiffs a major move and so on.

That’s it for some of the best gameplay settings you can toggle in Monster Hunter Wilds! Got a tip or a setting that’s important? Leave a comment and let us know.
