Texas Chain Saw Massacre Next Update Patch Notes:

Release: September 12

PATCH NOTES

  • Fixed: Victims Trapped Collision Issue
    • Resolved an issue where Victims who are trapped then lose collision/control when trying to use a gap afterward.
    • This issue is not the ONLY issue related to Hitchhiker traps and Victims.
    • To provide additional info on additional issues with Hitchhiker traps and Victims, please use THIS THREAD.
  • Fixed: Perking Up Achievement
    • We fixed an issue with the Perking Up achievement causing it to not unlock.
    • Carry on Achievement Hunters
  • Fixed: Continue on Lobby End Screen
    • This issue was causing all active players to wait the full timer when choosing to continue to the next match, due to disconnected players.
    • This will help speed up the process of matchmaking into the next match for active players.
  • Fixed: Continue Missing from Custom Game End Screen
    • We resolved an issue where the continue option was missing from the end screen of custom games.
  • Changed: Battery Match Start State
    • The car battery will now start out on and be powered up by default.
    • This will help Family players get to the tasks at hand to set up for the match faster.
  • Changed: Respec in Lobby Option
    • We have removed the option to respec characters in match lobbies.
    • You can still edit the character loadouts and spend any unused skill points.
    • Respec will have to be done via the main menu now.
  • Tuned: Bone Scrap Limits
    • Bone Scrap piles are now limited to 3 uses per pile.
    • This is just one step in terms of balancing the scrap usage and frequency.
  • Tuned: Cook Lock Usage XP Farm
    • We have set a limiter to the amount of XP that can be earned from placing and removing locks repeatedly.
    • You will still receive the XP bonus for placing each of the three locks once.
  • Tuned: Lobby Timer Set to 3 Minutes
    • We added to the lobby timer in the last patch to give more time to fill lobbies.
    • The community generally disliked this change, and we have therefore reverted it back to the standard 3 minutes.
  • Tuned: Further Anti Cheat Tuning and Improvements
    • We have continued our work on anti cheat and are one step closer to reintegrating PC into cross play, though we are not there just yet.
    • Players encountering usage of cheats and/or hacks in public PC lobbies, please continue to report them via support.

Once the patch is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know ASAP.

Xur is back in Destiny this Friday carrying a fresh selection of Exotics, Engrams, and Legendary gear that he sells only in exchange for Legendary Shards. For those curious about his new hideout and wares, here you go: MP1st’s new Destiny 2 Xur location today, September 8, 2023 post details both his location and full inventory until the next Weekly Reset.

New Destiny 2 Xur Location Today September 8, 2023 (And What Xur Is Selling):

Xûr, Agent of the Nine

A peddler of strange curios, Xûr’s motives are not his own. He bows to his distant masters, the Nine.

Location:

Watcher’s Grave

Carrying:

Helm of Saint-14, Gemini Jester, Crown of Tempests

What’s a Xûr?

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who randomly appears in a Public Sector on one of the Worlds. Xûr sells Exotic equipment (as well as Engrams and Legendary equipment), and only accepts Legendary Shards as payment.

TL;DR: He’s the Santa of Destiny and every weekend’s Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want; sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it’s coal.

When does Xûr visit?

Xûr returns every Friday at 17:00 UTC and departs at Weekly Reset (Tuesday 17:00 UTC). If you would like to see all the live conversions of Time Zones, please follow this link here.

Starfield Credits Get Stolen in the Most Bethesda Way Possible

Bethesda Softworks is known for developing open-world RPGs that offer unparalleled freedom to explore, experiment, and engage in various activities. Their latest creation, Starfield, is no exception. It continues the tradition of granting players a sandbox where they can use unconventional methods to achieve their goals.

In a recent twist that can only be described as “the most Bethesda way possible.” A player has discovered a unique approach to acquiring Starfield credits. They take advantage of in-game physics to drag the credits spread out on the table into a basket. Then, they take this basket into one of the corners and discreetly pilfer the credits, avoiding any unwanted attention.

A similar situation occurred in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim where a player placed a bucket on a shop owner’s head and proceed to steal all the items in the shop. Because the proprietor was unable to see what was transpiring, they remained oblivious to the theft, allowing the player to loot the shop with ease. So, this particular Starfield credits exploit is nothing new in the realm of Bethesda games.

Starfield has been basking in success, garnering excellent reviews and boasting a substantial player base in early access and at its official launch. More and more players are steadily moving on to Starfield, and with its first weekend approaching, the numbers are sure soar even higher.

The game is now available for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Elden Ring Down for Server Maintenance This September 8

FromSoftware has pulled the Elden Ring servers down this September 8. In case you were wondering why you or your friend can’t connect online, this is the reason. Read on for the schedule.

Elden Ring Down for Server Maintenance Schedule for September 8:

Here’s the announcement from Bandai Namco Entertainment:

The #ELDENRING servers will undergo routine maintenance Friday, September 8.

Maintenance will begin at 13:00 JST | 6:00 CEST | 21:00 PDT ( Sept. 7) and will last around two hours on all platforms.

Thank you for your patience.

Interestingly enough, this maintenance is a lot earlier than your usual maintenance windows. No word yet if we’ll get a patch, but don’t be surprised if we do, as the developer usually springs it out to gamers without any warning.

If we do get a patch, we’ll be sure to update the article to reflect that and provide a link. Likewise, if the maintenance goes past two hours, we’ll let our readers know.

For Honor Y7S3 Releases Sept. 14, Here’s What to Expect

For Honor Y7S3 is launching next week, and with it comes some ghostly activities, new content, and more! Here’s what you can expect in next week’s For Honor’s update.

For Honor Y7S3 “Deceit” Trailer

For Honor’s Year 7 Season 3, a.k.a “Deceit,” is centered around a Ghost Festival. Its story begins when the Wu Lin nobles invite some starving warriors, who steal forbidden food offerings at the warning of their host. As dusk begins to roll in, an illness begins to take over the warriors, setting the stage for what is described as an “otherwordly” season that pits players against their worst nightmares.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming this season:

  • Belvedere Map will adopt a new theme based on this season.
  • A new mood effect, an ornament, a Battle Outfit, and season-themed weapons can be earned during the season.
  • New Event Pass: Ghost Rite.
  • New Battle Pass – Includes Battle outfits, ornaments, and more that reflect the Ghost Festival theme
  • Battle Bundle.
  • Hero Fests – Kensei, Shugoki, and Warden will be offered at a discount. Otherwise, players can use them for free for one week during their rotations. A unique execution will be released at the start of each Hero Fest.
  • Testing Grounds Return! – A new testing ground will be available from September 14 to September 21, which focuses on the Highlander Hero.
  • Starting on September 14, the Reflex Guard will be removed for all assassin Heroes to create a more user-friendly combat system by equipping all Assassins Heroes and one Hybrid Hero (Shaolin) with a Static Guard. The Heroes affected by this change are Peacekeeper, Gladiator, Orochi, Shinobi, Shaman, Berserker, Nuxia, and Shaolin.

For Honor Y7S3 launches on September 14. Of course, as with every seasonal update, you can expect additional improvements and bug fixes. We should be hearing more about those shortly before the update releases next week, so stay tuned and watch our For Honor hub for those patch notes!

Baldur’s Gate 3 Review – Dungeons, Dragons, and Delight

Baldur’s Gate 3 is hands-down the new pinnacle of RPGs, the game that all other games will be measured by from now on. Larian Studios is the new BioWare, the new Bethesda, the new CDProjekt, but if the comparisons may sound like a bit of a stretch, let’s simply say that it has now achieved the status of most exciting developer in recent years. The potential shown with the Divinity series was confirmed with this display of confidence, ambition, and a fair share of madness to deliver a game that branches out in so many paths that it will keep you busy for months, if you are willing to explore and experiment it to its fullest.

Sorcery and Romance

I could go over all the mechanics and the intricate workings of Baldur’s Gate 3, but that would turn this review into a technical datasheet of nightmarish and endless proportions, something that doesn’t make for very interesting reading. The truth is that you can find all that information anywhere, but the fact is that this is a game that blows minds and drops jaws at every turn, every beat of the story. Or stories, as I should put it.

This is a game that screams for repeat runs, the work of people clearly too obsessed and passionate about the topic, obvious fans of the genre who decided to go for something that could have ended in tragedy. Instead of a few branching narratives to offer an illusion of freedom, Larian went wild with options to stray from a direct path, confusing you at every turn with companions, regions, dialogues, and everything that makes each playthrough significantly different from the prior, each experience a very different one from your friends’. There are so many paths, so many stories that I haven’t discovered yet, that the touted 200 hours to see everything sound like a complete understatement.

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

But this isn’t an easy game to jump straight into, especially if you are not used to deep and rich RPGs with almost infinite layers to lore and combat. It’s the kind of game that grows on you after a slow start, one where you will be impressed by the visuals and the decidedly fantastic cinematics, perfect homages to the Dungeons and Dragons legacy and the Baldur’s Gate games that came before. Even the in-game cutscenes are gorgeous and extremely well crafted, and you can be sure there will be plenty of those.

Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t the kind of RPG that is released with a handful of races, with further ones planned for a subsequent DLC launch. You get to pick from 11 starting races, an amazing selection filled with complicated choices that will have a direct effect in your performance. They come complete with impressive character customization, with sliders for perfect maturity wrinkles and freckles, pigmentation, and the different types of genitals. This is a mature game with no concerns about being morally correct to appease some players, going all the way to be brutally sincere and direct about everything that the best games should never be afraid to imply.

In a sense, Baldur’s Gate 3 brings a side offer of dating sim, with several coatings that admittedly don’t go too deep into graphical territory to the point of no return, but many of them are surely suggestive and crush any boundaries between races that may have felt like zones where any developer shouldn’t even attempt to go, for the sake of sparing the controversial word of mouth. Romancing companions certainly gave the game a lot of free publicity and is an extremely appealing prospect that will keep many players experimenting with the dialogue paths, until they reach their intended conclusion.

A Roll of the Dice

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

You begin the adventure with another important selection, the playstyle you are going for. Naturally, the balanced field is the one to offer the best of both worlds, but you can also choose to favor story or the tactical battles.

The game’s first steps are surprisingly grim, as you attempt an escape from a Nautiloid, the horrifying Mind Flayer vessel. There’s a heavy focus on the gloomy and the horror, both looks and voices, including a notoriously bleak scene involving a brain, certainly not for the squeamish. However, the darkness dials down a bit when you reach the land and the more traditional Dungeons and Dragons fantasy elements start to take over, and they do so beautifully.

Your avatar may not be voiced throughout the adventure, but our journey is recited by a soothing and pleasant narrator that never outstays her welcome. This is a terrific addition that really tells the details of the story in a perspective that you might not fully grasp otherwise and serves to provide context in some situations. The voice work overall is fantastic, same for the often-discreet soundtrack, but when you are exploring the nature or some settlements and pay close attention, you realize just how suited and charming the music is to this universe, including the battle segments.

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

It wouldn’t be a true Dungeons and Dragons game without a certain dose of RNG, provided by a clever implementation of dice rolls for many actions. From dialogue to environmental puzzles or battle events, a roll of the dice may signify the difference between success and failure, with each character bringing in some sort of effect to the result, mostly bonuses that are added and may change the original outcome. This could have been a frustrating aspect for players who aren’t that much into tabletop gaming, but the way it is handled is both satisfying and quick, and you can even pick difference dice just for cosmetic sake.

Relationships are flimsy in Baldur’s Gate 3, with your companions constantly showcasing their true goals and affinities, with many choices affecting their direct connection to you. Approval or disapproval of your actions may lead to serious consequences in the future, from romancing possibilities up to the point where they abandon the party, potentially drawing the curtain in some of the quests that you might be able to complete with them. You must handle each choice with care, as this affinity system isn’t purely binary; instead, it’s a frequent case of ups and downs where you must understand morals and guide your decisions based on what you are attempting to achieve in the game. Or… maybe you just want to get intimate with Halsin for very big reasons, but that’s a subject we are not to discuss here.

Drums of War

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

Every step of the way, your party will get involved into a fight. The whole world may not be against you, but some factions will turn their backs on you based on your past actions, and chance encounters are far from rare, so you must sharpen the blades, learn those spells, and become acquainted with the countless battle options.

The more you explore your combat options, the more you realize that it brings some incredible depth other games may only dream of. It’s not just about your characters and their crazily different builds that you achieve after many hours playing; it’s how you can scrutinize the environment and use it to maximize your tactics, from taking the higher ground to destroying objects such as war drums, preventing the goblins to call for reinforcements. Will you set free those giant, menacing spiders from their prison and eventually risk death if things go awry? But what if there’s an upside to this, such as seeing them join in a battle against their captors and make it a lot easier for you?

But when you discover the amount of buffs, debuffs, damage types, resistances, how a character is negatively affected by certain gear types to the point of becoming unable to use spells, and so much, much more, this is a whole new game. It’s dynamic, it’s challenging, and it’s nail-biting, but you will die a lot. This may take you to explore different avenues, both story and combat-wise, trying to come up with new approaches and ingenious character and spell combos in ways that will make you go “why didn’t I think of this before?” Well, because the offer is just too daunting to fully comprehend in just a few hours.

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

Apart from story, combat, and a healthy dose of dice rolling, Baldur’s Gate 3 also delivers on the puzzle side of things – reading clues, trying to come up with the solution to some obscure challenges. There’s not a lot of handholding and it requires some thought to progress here and there, a welcome return to the times when we had to do more than press a couple of buttons to solve a riddle.

As a single-player game, this is a brilliant achievement; however, Larian decided to include 2-4 player cooperative online play, changing some of the most common rules. This isn’t a drop-in, drop-out type of game, but a full-fledged experience where the host invites the rest of the players and go on adventures together, as if a party from the actual tabletop game having to reunite and resume the campaign whenever possible. There’s the option to invite a new player to an existing campaign as well, with the corresponding leveling up to the host’s level. You have just enough freedom to go wandering about, far from your teammates, but also have the option to suggest dialogue choices and the like, making for a very distinct, perhaps more troublesome but also more entertaining experience compared to solo play.

Personality Galore

Baldur’s Gate 3 looks fantastic, with textures to die for and character detail that is leagues beyond what could be seen in recent ambitious RPG efforts — Starfield included. The facial expressions, the smirking, the way the eyes move and squint, sometimes one independently of the other in a way that is barely discernible but looks all the better for it. The details are remarkable, true eye-candy, and somewhat surprisingly not overly demanding in terms of system requirements.

Obviously, you are going to need a good PC to run the game to its fullest potential, especially since the world is so beautiful, so detailed, completely disregarding any logic or rules in terms of terrain restrictions and verticality, going wild in design and layout. On the other hand, this makes it the more complicated to effectively manage the camera, although the game does its best regarding transparencies and control, including a tactical top-down view for combat. You may also find some animation chaining glitches that are but a small niggle in what is an impressive creation.

Game of the Decade?

Baldur's Gate 3 Review

Baldur’s Gate 3 is designed as a true love letter to gamers everywhere, ditching all the controversial practices from videogames, showing the middle finger to microtransactions, battle passes, and any other business opportunities that would be trying to reach into your wallet and taking your hard-earned money. This is a full game like in bygone times, a product that feels complete, polished, rewarding, without any added cost peeking around the corner. It’s an exception to the rule, a madmen’s dream that has paid off and then some, but it’s doubtful that other bigger studios will learn anything from this; instead, they may just shake their fists at the audacity of delivering a fully-fledged game and making everyone remember that this is how it used to be many years ago.

If you can only purchase a single game for a couple of years because budget is tight, Baldur’s Gate 3 should be the one. The amount of content and the sheer quality in display almost makes it feel like a steal, a game that grows on you and eats the hours away, invading your dreams and making you count the time until you return to it. This is the game of the year, maybe more than that.

Score: 9.5/10

Pros:

  • The sheer number of options it offers is mesmerizing, from starting classes to story paths
  • A deep and extremely complete battle system
  • Everything looks amazing, from characters to the world
  • Online cooperative play in a game that really didn’t need that extra
  • It’s a full game, one without microtransactions and other shenanigans
  • It will devour hours of your life without warning, and invite repeat runs

Cons:

  • Some animation glitches

Payday 3 Roadmap Outlines Post-Launch Support, Includes New Characters, Weapons and More

Starbreeze Entertainment has unveiled the Payday 3 roadmap, detailing what’s ahead after the game’s release later this month. At the forefront of these plans are two new playable characters, Joy and Pearl. They will be joining the original Payday crew at launch.

Payday 3 Roadmap and Post-Launch Support:

“Pearl is an expert con artist and infiltrator who is as comfortable running scams on the street as she is rubbing elbows with the rich and famous. She leaves nothing to chance, and it’s a rare occasion when things don’t go her way. Make no mistake though, she plans for every contingency, even the rare occasions where she has to pull out her own weapons.”

“Joy is a genius hacker and security expert who is now an official part of the crew. As a merciless heister, Joy is a dangerous combination of strength and subterfuge. With no respect for the law and a twisted sense of humor, Joy is a wildcard character who ends up being an ace during any heist.”

In addition to the new playable characters, Starbreeze promises ‘high-level content’ for Payday 3 during its first year. This content will be spread across four DLCs, with one releasing every quarter. While, we do not have many details on their content, we do know their release timeline.

  • DLC 1 – ‘Syntax Error’ set for Winter, 2023
  • DLC 2 – ‘Boys in Blue’ is set to release in Spring, 2024
  • DLC 3 – ‘The Land of the Free’ will release in Summer, 2024
  • DLC 4 – ‘Fear and Greed’ set for Fall, 2024

However, players can look forward to an array of exciting additions including new weapons, enemies, cosmetics, seasonal content, and much more. When looking at Payday 3 roadmap, it seems clear that the developers aim to support the game for a long time, just as they did with Payday 2. We will certainly get new heists somewhere down the line.

Payday 3 launches September 21, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available day one on Game Pass.

GENERAL UPDATES

PING SYSTEM UPDATES
  • Owned entities (such as Torbjörn’s Turret, Symmetra’s Teleporter, or Illari’s Healing Pylon) now have a lower priority as ping targets than enemy heroes.

HERO UPDATES

JUNKER QUEEN

Developer Comment: This change rewards throwing accuracy with the Jagged Blade without directly affecting Junker Queen’s self-healing.]

Jagged Blade
  • Impact damage increased from 50 to 65.

ORISA
Developer Comment: The Fortify cooldown has been adjusted so that the effective uptime remains the same. However, Orisa is no longer incentivized to cancel the ability early to begin the cooldown immediately, which makes the interval between uses consistent and more susceptible to counterplay.

Fortify
  • Cooldown begins when the ability is activated instead of when it ends.
  • Cooldown increased from 12 to 16.5 seconds.
  • Overhealth bonus decreased from 125 to 100.

ZARYA

Developer Comment: Zarya often spends both barrier charges on herself as it is usually more consistent for building energy. The change to Projected Barrier incentivizes using the barrier for her allies more often.

Projected Barrier
  • Health increased from 200 to 225.
  • Cooldown decreased from 10 to 8 seconds.
  • Size increased 15%.

ASHE

Developer Comment: Ashe has the longest total reload time of all heroes to balance out the advantage of being able to shoot after a partial reload. However, we are shortening it slightly to make the full reload from empty less punishing.

The Viper
  • Reload time decreased from .25 to .2 seconds.

BASTION

Developer Comment: The A-36 Tactical Grenade is now more reliable after having its projectile size increased recently, so it doesn’t need to be quite as damaging. The change to Configuration Artillery is a bug fix from what was intended for the ultimate, and we’ll monitor to see how this impacts Bastion’s performance.

A-36 Tactical Grenade
  • Impact damage decreased from 30 to 15.
Configuration: Artillery
  • Can no longer deal critical hits.

MEI

Developer Comment: Mei is still underperforming after her last set of changes, so we are increasing the effectiveness of primary fire and improving the quality of life to Deep Chill.

Endothermic Blaster
  • Damage increased from 65 to 70 per second.
  • Duration before slow falls off between primary fire hits increased from 0.5 to 0.6 seconds.
Deep Chill
  • Bonus damage can now also be triggered with Mei’s quick melee.

SUPPORT

Support Passive

  • Duration until support passive activates increased from 1.5 to 2 seconds.

Developer Comment: Support heroes have received individual improvements to their survivability and are quite strong overall, so we’re reducing the impact of the role-wide passive.

BAPTISTE

Developer Comment: Regenerative Burst’s overall healing output has been too effective after gaining the bonus instant heal for low-health allies, so we are reducing its total healing slightly.

Regenerative Burst
  • Instant healing decreased from 50 to 40.
  • Heal over time decreased from 50 over 5 seconds to 40 over 4 seconds.

KIRIKO

Developer Comment: The Protection Suzu no longer knocks back enemy heroes, so the projectile doesn’t need to impact them either. This quality-of-life change prevents accidental activations when thrown into groups with both enemies and allies.

Protection Suzu
  • Now passes through enemy heroes.

Illari

  • Fixed an interaction with Genji’s Deflect and Illari’s Healing Pylon. Deflecting the pylon should now correctly heal Genji’s allies.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the Stay Dead voice line from being equipped.
  • Resolved an interaction that allowed Illari to see underneath the map if they were slept by an Ana Sleep Dart while using Captive Sun.
  • Fixed an interaction with Illari’s Pylon indicator being disabled if it was Hacked by Sombra.
  • Fixed an interaction with Symmetra’s Teleporter that allowed Illari to place a Pylon in mid-air.
  • Fixed several instances that resulted in the Pylon being destroyed instantly after deploying.

Junker Queen

  • Fixed a bug where Junker Queen recalling Jagged Blade in the same frame as it stuck in an object (by holding Secondary Fire and aiming at an object the same distance away as the Knife’s recall range) would cause a pingable knife to be stuck in the world.

Kiriko

  • Fixed a bug that made it difficult to Swift Step to allies in rooms with low ceilings.

Lifeweaver

  • Fixed a bug allowing friendly EMPs to destroy your Petal Platform.

Ramattra

  • Resolved a bug that prevented the damage increase from Zenyatta’s Discord from being correctly applied while Ramattra was Blocking.

Overwatch 2 Update 3.60 for September 7 Ushers in Hero Mastery, Hero Changes

Blizzard has deployed Overwatch 2 update 3.60 (PS5 version 1.000.024), and this brings the Hero Mastery Mode alongside the Mid-Season Update. Check out what got changed and the new additions in the OW2 patch notes for September 7.

Overwatch 2 Update 3.60 Patch Notes | Overwatch 2 Update 1.000.024 Patch Notes | OW2 September 7 Patch Notes:

OVERWATCH 2 ANNIVERSARY 2023

We’re celebrating the first year of Overwatch 2! Come and play returning event game modes, including Battle for Olympus, Catch-A-Mari, Starwatch, and Mischief and Magic! You’ll also be able to take part in new challenges that reward Overwatch Credits, which can be spent on returning Legendary skins from the in-game shop. Join the celebration when it begins on September 19!

NEW GAME MODE – HERO MASTERY

Hero Mastery is a new, single-player game mode that allows players to test their skills with individual heroes on custom courses. Push your expertise to the limit for high scores and dominate the leaderboards. Are you up to the challenge?

  • Each hero can be played on three unique courses of increasing difficulty. Flex your skills and unlock up to five stars on each course.
  • Hero Mastery courses are scored on various factors, including time, eliminations, heals, and escorts. Each hero has individual stats that are tracked as well. Plus collect all the Mastery Emblems to show off your prowess!
  • Hero Mastery is launching with a limited-time event that includes exclusive rewards. Courses for Tracer, Reinhardt, and Mercy are now available, along with courses for Sojourn, Winston, and more premiering in the weeks ahead.

BUG FIXES

GENERAL

  • Fixed an issue with the Daybreak challenge being reset to 0 and not receiving progress after completing games.
  • The Save-a-Mari challenge now specifies the difficulty requirements for completion.
  • Resolved an issue where the Progression Level badge wasn’t promoting. Players who have already reached levels where the badge should now be promoted to the correct badge now.
  • Fixed a bug with the Option ‘Relative Aim Sensitivity’ not accepting a value of 0%.
  • Fixed an instance where equipped Competitive Titles would reset after a relog.
  • Fixed a bug with Matches Played showing as abandoned for matches played on another platform.
  • Fixed gaps and other environment issues in Mischief and Magic.
  • Fixed navigation issues that could occur with a controller in Winston’s Lab.
  • Fixed the missing sound effects for Training Bots respawning.
  • Fixed a bug on controller/gamepads that prevented some characters from flying diagonally.
  • Resolved a bug with the Overtime bar not burning all the way down in Competitive, making it difficult to tell when the round is over.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from immediately equipping Golden weapons after purchase.

MAPS

Dorado

  • Fixed a bug in the environment near the final point that sometimes allowed Mei’s Blizzard to go through the environment.

New Junk City

  • Fixed areas on the map that players could become stuck in.
  • Fixed lighting issues in specific areas on the map.
  • Added the intro when loading into the map. You will now be greeted with ‘Welcome to New Junk City.’

Suravasa

  • Fixed some fountains on the map that allowed some turrets to be hidden.
  • Fixed a few areas that did not have correct lighting.
  • Fixed areas on the map that players could become stuck on.
  • Fixed areas on the map that allowed players to stand outside the playable space.
  • Fixed gaps in the geometry in several areas across the map.

CO-OP MISSIONS

Rio

  • Fixed a bug that could occur after the Artillery lands that resulted in your camera looking at the sky after regaining control of the camera.

Toronto

  • Fixed an interaction with the train that could force players outside of the map boundaries.
  • Fixed a bug with lighting that could occur on this map when changing graphics settings.

Gothenburg

  • Fixed a location in spawn where players could become stuck.

HEROES

Bastion

  • Fixed an error that resulted in the vertical knockback on Bastion’s Tactical Grenade being reduced.

Echo

  • Fixed a bug with Duplicated Illari’s displaying the incorrect VFX colors when casting Captive Sun.
  • Fixed an interaction with Duplicated Symmetra turrets persisting through the duration of Duplicate.

Next Battlefield Is Being Built for the “Future” Says EA CEO

While there’s not a lot to go on when it comes to the next Battlefield game, we do know that the new game is not solely being developed by DICE, but alongside new first-party studio Ripple Effect, who is handling the single-player campaign, and is also being spearheaded by Respawn boss Vince Zampella, who now also acts as the new big boss when it comes to the Battlefield franchise as a whole.

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology Conference, Electronic Arts (EA) CEO Andrew Wilson comments on how a former competitor is now building a Battlefield “for the future.”

The relaunch of Battlefield, one of the great first-person shooters of our generation. We employed a leadership group from our competitor who has basically rearchitected how that competitor went to market and they’re building Battlefield for the future. I’m unbelievably excited about that. – Andrew Wilson, EA CEO

Wilson’s comment somehow ties into earlier comments on how the next Battlefield title is a “reimagination of a truly connected ecosystem,” which seems like a nice play on words on how it’ll integrate live services.

Let’s hope that whatever future building EA is doing for Battlefield now, it’s something players will embrace the moment it’s released.

Gamer Strategically Stacks Turkish PlayStation Plus Subscriptions up to 2050 to Circumvent Price Hike

Sony sneakily announced an increase in the price of yearly ‘PlayStation Plus’ subscription along with the PS Plus titles for the month of September, 2023. The new price was set to go live on September 6, 2023, but one of the gamers decided to that they are not going to pay at the increased rates and took matters into their own hands. They subscribed to the Turkish PlayStation Plus subscription for 27 years up until 2050.

Note that the Turkish PSN Store offers significantly lower prices compared to other regions. In many places where people are unable to afford their native version, they opt for the Turkish one, and this applies to both games and it seems, PlayStation Plus subscriptions too.

If you compare it with the US, the price difference was quite substantial. You had to pay $60 for the most basic version called PS Essential, $100 for PS Extra, and $120 for PS Premium. On a Turkish account, you only needed to pay 240TL for PS Essential, which rounds up to about $9, PS Extra for 400TL ($15) and PS Premium or Deluxe for 460TL ($17). So, it was indeed smart of this individual to choose the most affordable option available and take advantage. Now, they won’t have to worry about paying for online multiplayer, cloud storage or monthly free games.

Turkish PlayStation Plus

While 27 years is a considerable stretch and carries its fair share of uncertainties, it remains unclear whether PS Plus will persist in its current form or even exist at all in the distant future.

However, the gamer in question is not worried about the unknown; they simply want to ensure that everything is set and ready to go for the next few generations of PlayStation.

Do you think subscribing to Turkish PlayStation Plus up to 2050 was the right decision? Share your opinions in the comments below!
