Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Update 1.10 Out for Patch #8 This May 22

Developer Wolcen Studio has released Wolcen Lords of Mayhem update 1.10 today on PC and PlayStation. An Xbox patch is coming soon. This is title update #8 and it comes with various bug fixes and gameplay changes. Check out the Wolcen Lords of Mayhem May 22 patch notes below.

Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Update 1.10 Patch Notes | Wolcen Lords of Mayhem Patch 8 Patch Notes | Wolcen May 22 Patch Notes:

Today we are rolling out patches 1.1.7.8 on PC and 1.010 on PlayStation. This patch will arrive on XBOX at a later date. This patch changes how Infinity Difficulty scales and how it awards bonus Attribute and Gate of Fates points, along with the usual selection of bug fixes.

Gameplay Changes:

  • Infinity Difficulty has had its scaling adjusted, and now has a more pronounced difficulty curve.
  • Because of this adjusted scaling, far fewer skulls need to be spent to reach higher difficulty levels.
  • Successful Operations on Infinity Difficulty now reward the same amount of skulls spent to launch the operation, rather than double.
  • As before, spending Skulls and completing an Operation on a higher Skull spend for the first time will award some player power. Successful Operations below 100 skulls will award one-time bonuses of 5 Attribute points for every Skull spent, and 1 Gate of Fates point for every 5 skulls.
  • After the first 100 skulls, successful Operations will grant 1 Attribute point for every 2 Skulls spent, and 1 Gate of Fates point for every 50 Skulls spent.
  • These rewards are capped at 1000 Attribute points and 40 Gate of Fates points.
  • Records for previously attained “Highest Completed” Skulls have been adjusted in-line with the new scaling and Skull spend, but will be adjusted no higher than 100. For example: a record of 573 Skulls turns into 57, while 80,000 Skulls turns into 100. Any missing bonus Attribute and Gate of Fates points will be awarded accordingly.
  • The amount of Skulls previously earned by players remains untouched. Skulls for the Skull Throne.

Bug Fixes:

  • We have given Demetra a stern lecture about withholding services from her customers. Players can once again level up and duplicate skills.
  • Fixed an issue where the level 30 version of Imbued Veiled Eclipse could not be obtained.
  • Cleaned up the gamepad input prompt bar in the Skills and Modifiers Screen.
  • Fixed various instances of “Undefined” being show in the Character Sheet in some languages.
  • Resolved a navmesh issue in the Necropolis area of the campaign.
  • Fixed an issue where the HP values in enemy health bars would break at certain thresholds.

Console Only:

  • Fixed an issue which prevented projectile VFX for the lightning variant of Livor Mortis from displaying.
  • Fixed an issue which prevented some of Artic Spear’s VFX from displaying.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the player character to turn into a hideous squiggle monster if the player reconnected their gamepad whilst the Cosmetics Menu was open.
  • Resolved instances of placeholder icons for one of the deluxe edition armour sets.

New Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Duplication Glitch Uncovered; 20 Items in Under 30 Seconds

There’s a new, much faster item duplication glitch that has been found in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, allowing players to duplicate nearly any item in a process that takes less than 30 seconds! How to do it? Read on.

New Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Duplication Glitch Method | TOTK Item Duplication Glitch Guide

As discovered by Reddit User USBdongle6727, the new and faster process to duplicate items can be found below, which involves using your paraglider as a means to continue using the original duplication exploit.

New Fast Dupe Method – 20 Diamonds in under 30 seconds
byu/USBdongle6727 intearsofthekingdom

  1. Have the item you want to dupe in the last slot of your materials tab (can be accomplished by dropping it and picking up again)

  2. Jump off a small ledge and paraglide

  3. Enter menu and hold an item that has a quantity of 1 followed by the item that you want to dupe in the last slot of your inventory.

  4. Exit menu and reenter menu. The quantity 1 item will be dropped but the duped item will stay in your inventory. So hold another quantity 1 item followed by desired duped item again.

  5. Repeat.

USBdongle6727 warns users that they should do this no more than four cycles, as anything past that and the duplicated items begin to disappear. So pick them up, rinse, and repeat. Do mind that because this method does involve jumping and landing, items such as an egg will break, while others, like a bomb, will explode upon contact. So be sure whatever you’re trying to duplicate isn’t going to suddenly explode or break due to the height they’re dropped at. You could find a ledge to do this over that is above water, as the items will float rather than explode or break.

Definitely, an easy way to get some of the grinding out of the way, though this is technically considered cheating for those that care.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on the Nintendo Switch. For those that haven’t already or may be on the fence, be sure to check out our full review where we state, “Just when you think you’ve reached the pinnacle of a series, Nintendo comes out with a bigger, more ambitious, creative, and innovative follow-up to perhaps what was already one of the greatest games ever released.”

Report: Alan Wake 2 Release Date Set for October According to Alan Wake Voice Actor

While we know that Remedy Entertainment is hard at work on Alan Wake 2, it seems the game’s release window has been accidentally leaked and via the game’s main voice actor, Matthew Porretta, no less.

Speaking in the the latest Monsters, Madness and Magic podcast (episode #192), Porretta, who voices Alan Wake in the game, mentions that Alan Wake 2 will launch sometime in October (you can check it out at around the 18-minute mark).

I’ve been working on it. That’s supposed to come out in October we’re in the middle of working on it now in fact I was just in Finland last week, that’s where the company is from, Remedy, amazing people. I went and auditioned for this job 13 years ago in fact it was Alan Wake’s birthday on Sunday, 13 years when it was released, the same day as Red Dead, I think.

While not official, this is the closest thing we’ve gotten to a release window for the game. Obviously, as this is not an official announcement by Remedy, treat it with a gran of salt for now. That said, if anyone outside of the dev team would know the release timings, it would be Alan Wake himself, no?

Mind, Remedy themselves have said that Alan Wake 2 is playable from start to finish. Not only that, but the studio is adamant that it’s still set for release this 2023. Add in that October is the big quarter where major titles are released for maximum sales, then October seems like a very plausible month.

Alan Wake is due for release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Epic Games Store exclusive).

Take-Two Interactive Boss “Not Seeing a Pushback” on $70 Pricing for Games

Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive is “not seeing a pushback” on its $70 games, according to a recent statement by CEO Strauss Zelnick. Zelnick reported the company’s findings in an investor’s call during the publisher’s quarterly earnings report, stating that consumers are instead “limiting their spending” by being more mindful of the games they purchase.

Here’s the quote from the investor’s call:

We’re not seeing a pushback on frontline price. What we’re seeing is consumers are seeking to limit their spending by going either to the stuff they really, really care about, blockbusters, or to value, and sometimes it could be both. And the good news is, we have a bunch of blockbusters and we have a wonderful catalogue.

The other news is we have a robust frontline release schedule and without regard to price, there has been some pressure, as a result, if a consumer sees something that’s interesting but not necessarily yet a huge blockbuster. We think that will change. This is a growth business, and this is a unique market, and nothing that’s going on now is inconsistent with the view that we outlined during the pandemic.

Interestingly enough, Take-Two Interactive was the first video game publisher to introduce a $70 tag to AAA games, with NBA 2K21 ushering in a new standard price point for mainstream video game titles. Soon after the release of NBA 2K21, other publishers and companies followed suit, and seeing $70 slapped onto a “blockbuster” game is the norm these days.

Zelnick also made a statement on the use of artificial intelligence in video game development during the investor’s call, claiming that it wouldn’t be able to make “hit games” the same way that humans do. You can read about his full statement here.

Quidditch Champions Leaked Gameplay Flies Out, Features Flight, Customization & More

Revealed just last month, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’ closed playtests were also part of the reveal, though we didn’t get any gameplay of it. Well, that changes today, as Quidditch Champions leaked gameplay has surfaced from one of the people involved in the playtests.

Gameplay footage featuring the flight, customization and more can be seen below via Twitch streamer novemberkilogaming, who doesn’t seem to know (or just doesn’t care) about NDA’s (non-disclosure agreement, which is part of the closed playtest). Note that this is from a closed playtest, and the footage isn’t something that WB Games wants — or is ready — to show to the gaming public just yet. So remember that before you judge it.

The clips were originally posted on the game’s subreddit, and have also been uploaded by someone on streamable as well (since, y’know, it will get taken down on Reddit most likely).

Quidditch Champions Leaked Gameplay:

Flight (Gameplay)

Character Customization (Gameplay)

Flying Practice (Gameplay)
byu/No_Nerve7020 inQuidditchChampionsWB

Again, worth pointing out that this is from an unfinished build of the game, and one that isn’t ready to be shown to the public.

For those who feel a bit bummed out that Quidditch wasn’t available in Hogwarts Legacy, this might satisfy that itch.

Quidditch Champions is being developed by Unbroken Studios, and is set for release at an undisclosed date for both consoles and PC.

Take-Two CEO: AI Won’t Be Able to Create Hits, Cites Games Like It as “the Domain of Human Beings”

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has recently made a statement on artificial intelligence and its use in video game development. Zelnick, who answered questions during the publisher’s quarterly earnings report, cited that while it can be used as a tool to speed up workflow, it won’t be able to “create hits” the same way that humans can.

Here’s what Zelnick had to say about AI in game development:

As you know I’m usually a skeptic when others engage in hyperbole, [but] in the case of AI I’m pretty enthusiastic. First of all, despite the fact artificial intelligence is an oxymoron, as is machine learning, this company’s been involved in those activities, no matter what words you use to describe them, for its entire history and we’re a leader in that space.

While the most recent developments in AI are surprising and exciting to many, they’re exciting to us but not at all surprising. Our view is that AI will allow us to do a better job and to do a more efficient job, you’re talking about tools, and they are simply better and more effective tools.

I wish I could say that the advances in AI will make it easier to create hits, obviously it won’t. Hits are created by genius. And data sets plus compute plus large language models does not equal genius. Genius is the domain of human beings and I believe will stay that way.

Zelnick’s stance on AI echoes that of many artists, designers, and developers, who have recently had their professions challenged by the capabilities of modern artificial intelligence. Treating AI as a tool, and not as a wellspring of ideas, seems to be Zelnick’s frame of mind, though it will be interesting to see how Take-Two (and other video game companies) take advantage of the technology in ways that don’t replace the creativity of the human mind.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach “Ruin” DLC Brings More Scares This July

Five Nights at Freddy’s (otherwise known as FNAF) fans looking for the latest scare, you’ll be getting that soon, as the Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach “Ruin” DLC release window has been announced to be in July 2023!

This was confirmed in a new gameplay trailer released by Steel Wool where we also get to see a glimpse of what to expect from the expansion.

I know what you’re thinking after watching the trailer: how can a kid be that strong, right? But hey, we are dealing with animatronics that are alive, so yeah, tone down your realism toggles or something.

Needless to say, to get the FNAF Security Breach Ruin DLC, you will need to own the base game. No specific date when it’ll launch in July, but at the very least, you know that new content is coming. For those not familiar with Security Breach, it was released back in 2021, and has been received positively by FNAF and horror fans alike.

As for the DLC, expect a new title update to be part of the roll out. Once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Outside of the new DLC, the horror game franchise is also getting a movie and it’s due for release this October. Check out its leaked trailer right here.

Dead by Daylight Collections Featuring Ikumi Nakamura, Iron Maiden, and Slipknot Announced

Behaviour Interactive has announced a couple of Dead by Daylight collaborations, one featuring a set of skins designed by Ikumi Nakamura and a couple of Collections based on heavy metal bands Iron Maiden and Slipknot. The Collections were announced by the studio during the recent Dead by Daylight Year 7 anniversary reveal, which MP1st attended beforehand, where it also revealed the game’s roadmap for Year 8.

Nakamura’s skins are part of a larger Collection of skins, known as the “Artists from the Fog Collection.” This particular Collection of skins includes designs submitted by the Dead by Daylight community, and while four of the contributors were selected from all over the world, Nakamura was invited as the fifth by Behaviour Interactive themselves. Nakamura is known for her work on The Evil Within, Bayonetta, and Ghostwire: Tokyo, among other titles. The artist designed skins for two Killers in Kazan Yamaoka and The Legion’s Julie as well as a Survivor skin for Yui Kimura.

You can find designs for the three skins below.

The Iron Maiden Collection revolves around Eddie, the band’s mascot, featuring cosmetics that portray his appearances throughout Iron Maiden’s albums. On the other hand, Slipknot’s Collection will feature nine of the band’s trademark masks, with the idea of “paying tribute to some of the band’s most iconic members over the years.” The masks are intended to be used by Killers in-game.

The Artists from the Fog Collection will be available this summer, while no release dates have been provided for Iron Maiden’s or Slipknot’s Collections just yet.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre OST and Companion Album Released Ahead of Launch

We may be three months away from the official launch Gun Media’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get a little excited. And what better way to do it than with the official soundtrack? Well, lucky for you, Gun Interactive has released the official OST for the horror game alongside a companion album called “Remains” by CEO Wes Keltner and composer Jim Bonney.

The official OST for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is now available on Spotify (which you can listen to below) and contains a total of ten songs that you’ll get to hear throughout the game. This includes the main theme, aptly titled “The Massacre,” various tracks such as “Bizzare Crimes,” “Go Get Grandpa,” and “The Gas Station,” as well as the credits OST that will likely play at the end of the game, “And What Will Be Left Of Them.” Notably, “The Massacre” is a track that is “composed of pig screams, chainsaws, and scraped metal” while also employing the use of tools such as the Soma Lyra drone machine and the Apprehension Engine, the latter being a musical tool made specifically for generating sounds used in horror media.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre OST

The companion album, “Remains,” is an eight-song album that was “musically inspired by desert rock and similar heavy genres.” Made by Gun Interactive CEO Wes Keltner and composer Jim Bonney, this album will be safe for content creators to use, according to Keltner himself, who claims that “there will be no DMCA takedowns” for those who use the album’s tracks. Keltner made the statement in a pinned comment below one of the album’s tracks on the official Gun Interactive YouTube channel.

“Remains” is currently available on Apple Music. You can read about Keltner’s community post about the album, which he posted last year, over here.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre launches this August 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a technical test of the game set to run on May 25. You can read about the details surrounding the technical test here.

Dead by Daylight Roadmap for Year 8 Revealed Alongside Chapter 28 First Look

Dead by Daylight is celebrating its Year 7 anniversary, and Behaviour Interactive recently invited MP1st to check out what’s in store for the game before today’s livestream event. Not only was Nicolas Cage’s involvement revealed then, but we also got to see the Dead by Daylight roadmap for Year 8, as well as info on Chapter 28.

Dead by Daylight Roadmap for Year 8:

June 2023

  • Chapter (End Transmission)
  • The Singularity (Killer)
  • Gabriel Soma (Survivor)

July

  • Chapter
  • New Survivor
  • Tome 16

August

  • Chapter
  • New Killer
  • New Survivor

October

  • Tome 17

November

  • Chapter
  • New Killer

January 2024

  • Chapter
  • New Survivor
  • Tome 18

March

  • Chapter
  • New Killer
  • New Survivor

April

  • Tome 19

Kicking off the roadmap for 203 will be a new Chapter. Titled “Chapter 28: End Transmission,” it will be Dead by Daylight’s first foray into sci-fi horror, featuring the cyborg-like Killer, The Singularity. Players will have to navigate across a hostile and dangerous alien planet in order to survive. A new Survivor in Gabriel Soma will also be released during this Chapter.

Here’s the official key art for Chapter 28: End Transmission:

And a quick breakdown and gameplay video of the new chapter:

The new Chapter will be available to play on the Public Test Build (PTB) starting May 23, 11:00 AM EDT (That’s 3:00 PM GMT or 11:00 PM HKT).

Following Chapter 28, Dead by Daylight will be releasing six more Chapters and four Tomes, with a total of four new Survivors and three new Killers to play as or against. Interestingly, two of the Killers following The Singularity will be licensed, according to a press event by Behaviour Interactive. These will likely release during the next few Chapters following End Transmission, so we can expect some pretty major announcements in the months leading to August and November when the licensed Killers are slated for release.

Finally, Dead by Daylight will also be getting various system updates (such as map balancing and a change to face-camping) and various quality-of-life improvements, such as a loadout search bar and AI bot replacements for disconnected players during matches, among other things. If you’re interested in watching the full livestream event, you can find it here.

Year 8 is shaping up to be an interesting one for Dead by Daylight, with its foray into sci-fi, the surprise Nicholas Cage announcement, and the teased licensed Killers all set to come out within the next 12 months.

Best PS5/PS4 Game Deals This Week – God of War Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and More

At MP1st, we understand that most gamers today wish to not have to pay full price for games, especially closer to release when the quality and performance of the title can be unreliable. PlayStation gamers also face a unique problem: with a large body of platform exclusives and first-party titles, PS5 and PS4 owners often find themselves waiting quite a while for sales on the particular games they desire. To address these issues, we’ve compiled the best PS5 and PS4 game deals we’ve spotted this week below, including a massive sale on last year’s God of War Ragnarok, a significant discount on the Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered release, and more.

Best PS5 & PS4 Game Deals This Week:

  • God of War Ragnarok PS5 (US, Digital) – $27.89 on CDKEYS
    • This is by far the lowest price available on the PS5 version of the game since release, with the site listing only lowering in price in the last few months. Keep in mind that users on the site have reported issues while attempting to purchase US-region items with non-US cards. One solution for this is the usage of a VPN at the bank verification stage, though this is a risky measure.
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (US, Digital) – $34.69 on CDKEYS
    • Now that the Remastered version (which is PS5-only) is available as a standalone purchase for $49.99, this is a great deal for those who only want the Spider-Man game. Otherwise, if you have access to Miles Morales through PS Plus, you can acquire Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for $20. Finally, if you bought any version of the PS4 release, you can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10 instead.
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 (Physical) – $14.99 on GameStop
  • Dead Space PS5 (Physical) – $44.99 on GameStop
  • Gran Turismo 7 PS5 (Physical) – $41.39 on Walmart
  • Cyberpunk 2077 PS4/PS5 (Physical) – $12.99 on Best Buy/$16.00 on Amazon
  • Elden Ring PS5 (Physical) – $44.99 on Walmart
  • Elden Ring PS4 (Physical) – $41.50 on Walmart
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles PS5/PS4 (Physical) – $27.99 on GameStop
  • Sonic Frontiers PS5/PS4 (Physical) – $39.99 on GameStop
  • Deathloop PS5 (Physical) – $18.99 on GameStop
  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force PS5/PS4 (Physical) – $24.99 on GameStop
  • The Callisto Protocol PS5 (Physical) – $29.83 on Walmart
  • The Callisto Protocol PS4 (Physical) – $19.93 on Walmart
  • The Nioh Collection PS5 (Physical) – $29.99 on GameStop
  • Wild Hearts PS5 (Physical) – $39.99 on GameStop
  • PGA Tour 2K23 PS5 (Physical) – $24.99 on Amazon
  • PGA Tour 2K23 PS4 (Physical) – $19.99 on Amazon
  • Madden NFL 23 PS5 (Physical) – $27.99 on GameStop
  • Madden NFL 23 PS4 (Physical) – $21.99 on GameStop
  • Resident Evil Village Gold PS5/PS4 (Physical) – $37.99 on GameStop
  • Skautfold: Usurper PS5 Pre-Order (Physical) – $24.99 on GameStop

Should none of these titles take your fancy, you can always check out the ongoing PlayStation Big Games Big Deals and Games Under $20 sales, which include massive discounts on FIFA 23, Need for Speed Unbound, NHL 23, Far Cry 6, and more till May 24.

New Dead by Daylight Games Announced; Single-Player and Co-op PvE Titles in the Works

Fans of Dead by Daylight will have more ways to interact with the game’s IP and story in the near future. A recent announcement from Behaviour Interactive has revealed that two new games based on the world of Dead by Daylight are currently in the works. These Dead by Daylight games will focus on single-player interactive experiences and co-op PvE gameplay, introducing two new ways to enjoy Dead by Daylight.

To assist with the projects, Behaviour Interactive is partnering with a couple of studios to develop the games. For the single-player title, Behaviour Title will be working with Supermassive Games, a studio that’s made single-player horror experiences in Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology (Devil in Me, Man of Medan). Here’s what Traci Tufte, Executive Producer at Supermassive Games, had to say about the single-player title:

We’ve been working hard to blend the tension, agency, and branching storytelling of a Supermassive game together with Dead by Daylight’s mythology to create an intense and narrative experience filled with powerful life or death choices. Our game will be set outside The Entity’s Realm and feature the story of a new cast of characters who players will follow for an unprecedented experience from beyond The Fog.

More information on the single-player title will also be announced sometime later this year.

As for the PvE title, it will be worked on by Midwinter Entertainment, a studio under Behaviour Interactive. Though brief, the devs did talk a bit about the game. Here’s how producer Audrey Mladina described the project:

The themes in our new game will center around greed and the lust for power. These will be present in both the gameplay itself and in the stories of the characters who were tempted to enter a strange, new corner of The Entity’s Realms. Our vision is to create a multiplayer PvE experience where instead of acing off against each other, up to four players can team up, enter anohter one of The Entity’s Realms, and take on a host of deadly enemies that occupy it.

The Dead by Daylight PvE title is still pretty early in development, so we may not hear from Midwinter Entertainment for a while until the game’s fleshed out even further.

The two upcoming games aim to further expand the world of Dead by Daylight, with the game also receiving a series of updates throughout Year 8. Once we know more about these Dead by Daylight games, we’ll let you know.

XDefiant PS5 Input Lag, Netcode, Server Stability Issues Addressed by Studio, No Date on Next Test

For those who played the XDefiant beta, chances are you’ve experienced a few issues along the way. Chief among the issues include a problem playing it on the PS5, as players (including us) experienced XDefiant PS5 input lag during our sessions, and there were server stability issues as well.

Over on Twitter, XDefiant Executive Producer Mark Rubin has acknowledged some of the biggest issues concerning the beta.

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to give a quick update on what’s been going on since the Beta. I know there have been a lot of questions regarding when we will be releasing and/or when is the next test. The truth is we don’t have any specific dates for you just yet.

We have a lot of big things to work on from the Beta. We want to get our server stability in a better place. We want to finish replacing the old netcode with the new netcode to improve the server simulation experience. We wanted to get the controller lag that we saw on PS5 fixed. And of course, general polish and improvements. That’s a lot of work and the team has been heads down working through all of this as best we can.

So, where are we. Starting with the PS5 input lag we were able to identify and fix an issue that brought the controller latency down from over 60ms to around 20ms. So far this has made a huge difference in how it feels. And as a special side note, we think 120hz for PS5 and Xbox X will be ready sooner than we expected so hoping that will now make it in for launch rather than post launch.

As for the new netcode, we have made huge progress and it feels much better. Now this is something that no matter how much you test internally until it gets out in the real world you never really know how well it will hold up. So, we will be looking at ways to broaden our testing for that.

And lastly, server stability. There are really two things here. One was that the server configuration that we went live with for the CB was not the one we intended due to a last-minute bug that we found. By the end of the test, we had wrangled the servers to get them more stable, but we have fixed the bugs that caused the issue in the first place and have hardened some of our services to better stand up to issues like that.
So that’s where we are. We are still moving forward and hopefully will have some more info for everyone soon.

This is definitely very reassuring to see. While there’s no release date or new beta date for the game, the transparency shown by the devs is something all shooter fans will appreciate. Let’s hope that these issues are fixed the next time we play the game.

New Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Rewards and Map This Week May 19

Destiny’s Trials of Osiris weekly PvP mode has returned today with a fresh set of rewards. If you’re wondering what this week’s map or Adept weapon reward is, look no further: MP1st’s new Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards and map this week May 19, 2023 post lists all that information in detail below.

New Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Rewards This Week May 19, 2023:

Map

The Dead Cliffs

Rewards

  • Reputation Rank 4: Upgrade Module (2)
  • Reputation Rank 7: Enhancement Prism (3)
  • Reputation Rank 10: Trials Weapon (Changes for each rank reset)
  • Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module (2)
  • Reputation Rank 16: Trials Weapon (Changes for each rank reset)
  • Flawless Reward: The Immortal (Adept)

Reputation System, Trials Engrams, and Adept Farming

Win individual rounds within each match to gain Trials reputation. The amount of reputation you gain increases with each round you’ve won on your card. Earn enough reputation, and you’ll be able to claim a Trials Engram from Saint-14! This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the number of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).

Once you have gone Flawless, keep playing! Every win you achieve while at the 7-win level, even if you lose your Flawless, has a chance to drop bonus Trials Engrams, adept weapons, prisms, and even Ascendant Shards. There is no penalty for losing once you’ve made it to the Lighthouse!

When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone Flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.

Passages

Name Perk Cost
Passage of Ferocity Your third match win grants a bonus win. 10000 Glimmer & 15 Legendary Shards
Passage of Mercy Forgives one loss per run. 10000 Glimmer & 15 Legendary Shards
Passage of Wealth Increased Trials Rank points from reaching 3, 5, and 7 match wins on a ticket. 15000 Glimmer & 25 Legendary Shards
Passage of Confidence Grants bonus rewards from Flawless Chest. 20000 Glimmer & 50 Legendary Shards

What’s a Xûr?

Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who randomly appears in a Public Sector on one of the Worlds. Xûr sells Exotic equipment (as well as Engrams and Legendary equipment), only accepting Legendary Shards as payment.

TL;DR: He’s the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it’s coal.

When does Xûr visit?

Xûr visits every Friday at 17:00 UTC and departs at Weekly Reset (Tuesday 17:00 UTC). If you would like to see all the live conversions of Time Zones, please follow this link here.

Ghost of Tsushima Japan Sales Reach 1 Million Units Sold; Sucker Punch Productions Thanks Fans

Sony has announced today that sales of Ghost of Tsushima in Japan have now surpassed one million units sold since release. Developer Sucker Punch Productions thanks fans for their support and enjoyment of the game.

Released in 2020, Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima is a third-person action-adventure game set in Japan during the first Mongol invasion in 1274. Players control Jin Sakai, a troubled samurai on a quest to reclaim Tsushima Island from the clutches of the Mongols after a failed battle sees Lord Shimura, his uncle and the jitō of the island, captured by the invaders. As he struggles to combat the massive Mongol army, Jin must conquer his inner turmoil and decide whether to take the risk of taking his enemies head-on or using guerrilla approaches to dishonorably cut his foes down.

As of last July, the game had sold nearly 10 million copies across the world. As revealed by Sony today and corroborated by Sony Interactive Entertainment boss Jim Ryan, Ghost of Tsushima has been massively popular in Japan as well, selling over a million copies to date in the region (base game and Director’s Cut combined) despite being made by a Western studio. Sucker Punch Productions has expressed its gratitude towards Japanese fans for their support of the game with a hilarious GIF of Jin, Lady Masako, Yuna, and Norio dancing together:

Elsewhere, fans eagerly await the announcement of a sequel at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase, though there are rumors that Ghost of Tsushima 2 (if actually in development) will not feature at the Showcase. We’ll know for sure once the event airs next week.
