Resident Evil Requiem is set to release later this month, and with launch getting closer, many fans are wondering whether the game will focus only on Leon S.
If you’re wondering what that content was all about, you now have a chance to experience it.
A new mod now makes that possible, allowing players to experience content that was removed before the final release, including deleted scenes, NPCs, and more.
Larian Studios, the team behind Baldur's Gate 3, has surprised fans with a strange story about the release of their successful RPG.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Can Revisit Early Access Thanks to a New Mod
The mod is the work of a creator known as “HyperspaceTowel”, who restored a large amount of content that never made it into the final version of Baldur’s Gate 3.
According to the modder, the project brings back over 100 conversations and more than 1,000 fully voiced dialogue lines that were cut from the game. It also adds content that fits naturally into the full story, giving players more NPC encounters and additional camp events.
Companion reactivity has also been expanded, especially for Astarion, Gale, Lae’zel, and Shadowheart. There is also a smaller amount of restored content for Karlach and Wyll, and they can now react to several events during Act 1.
Most of the restored scenes are almost a 1:1 recreation of how they appeared during Early Access, although some were slightly changed. Content that could not be fully recovered, such as Shell Kid, was rebuilt from the ground up based on the scraps found by the modder.
On top of that, HyperspaceTowel reworked some cinematics to improve camera work and timing. The modder started by restoring trimmed Early Access lines in the full game and then added new ones where needed. Interestingly, new scenes were also created for Wyll and Karlach so they would match the increased dialogue of the other companions.
All of this content can be viewed and downloaded online, and the modder has also released trailers showcasing the project, which you can find on the official mod page.
Larian Studios, known for its work on the Divinity RPG franchise, and of course, Baldur's Gate 3, nearly developed Baldur's Gate 4 before deciding to cancel the project.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of the Theve is releasing this year, and while details are still under wraps, it seems two surprise announcements for the game have just leaked.
If Ace Combat 8 is going to have a similar launch as Ace Combat 7, then that might mean that it’s getting a free Ace Combat game as one of its pre-order bonuses.
In case you missed the news, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has officially been announced, and it's releasing sometime next year.
Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War PC Port May Be on the Way
As spotted by X account Ace Combat Wiki, Ace Combat 8’s Steam page has received several updates to its database. According to its history update on SteamDB, a reference for Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War has been added, a game that has not officially released on PC.
That’s not the only thing the SteamDB history update has revealed, either, as there are several references to “Ace Combat Online” with a “CNT” tag. For those wondering, “CNT” stands for “Closed Network Test,” which may suggest we may be getting a playtest of sorts before release. Of course, this could be internal testing on the development side, so take this with a grain of salt.
As for Ace Combat Zero, we’re not surprised, given that Ace Combat 7 did include Ace Combat 5 as one of its pre-order bonuses before it released. We can see Bandai doing something similar, though, like the closed network test, also take that bit of news with a grain of salt. At the very least, it is promising to see the game being mentioned on a PC client.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of the Theve is set to release sometime this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to release later this month, and with launch getting closer, many fans are wondering whether the game will focus only on Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, or if other familiar faces from the series will also appear.
A well-known insider close to Capcom’s franchise has returned to social media to shut down new rumors claiming that two characters from the franchise would also be part of the game.
Resident Evil Requiem, the next main entry in Capcom’s long-running horror franchise, was once planned to include a multiplayer mode.
Insider Shuts Down Rumors About Chris Redfield and Ada Wong in Resident Evil Requiem
This information comes from AestheticGamer, better known as Dusk Golem, who recently addressed claims circulating on social media that were falsely linked to him.
In those rumors, it was said that Chris Redfield and Ada Wong would appear in Resident Evil Requiem. Unfortunately for many fans, the insider says this is not true.
Addressing the rumor directly on his account, he said, “I’m gonna’ snip this in the bud since people love applying fake rumors to me, I never said this, it’s a misc fake leak floating around. I don’t believe Chris or Ada are in Resident Evil Requiem at all either from what I’ve heard, at least in any meaningful way.”
He made this statement after another account suggested that Dusk Golem had hinted at possible appearances, either in the main story or in future DLC.
When another user asked if he was referring to Chris or Ada, the insider replied: “Both aren’t in from what I’ve heard.”
It’s disappointing to hear that Ada Wong and Chris Redfield likely won’t appear in Resident Evil Requiem, but at least fans now have clearer expectations and won’t be misled by false rumors. That said, this is in no way an official announcement, so take it iwth a grain of salt.

In case you missed it, AMD released a brand-new CPU this week, the 9850X3D. As a refresh of the 9800X3D (one of the best gaming CPUs on the market), the 9850X3D delivers even greater performance, though it comes at the cost of higher power consumption. While it may not be the upgrade current 9800X3D users are seeking, it is an excellent option for those looking to move into the Ryzen 9000 family of CPUs, as well as those looking to jump into PC gaming for the first time.
Fortunately, prebuilt and custom PC manufacturer iBUYPOWER has just added the new CPU to its lineup, making it easier to get into PC gaming.
The Borderlands 4 roadmap for 2026 has been officially revealed, outlining the post-launch content that Gearbox plans to release throughout the year.
iBUYPOWER New PC Gaming Beasts Come Equipped With 9850X3D
With the release of AMD’s 9850X3D, iBUYPOWER has announced it is now offering new PC configurations equipped with the CPU, as well as configurations for both AMD’s 9000 Series and Nvidia‘s 5000 Series GPUs. Currently, the CPU is only available for custom builds, with pre-built versions coming soon.
Per the press release:
“By boosting clock speed to up to 5.6GHz for faster single-threaded performance and responsiveness, AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU is the new king of PC gaming processors that is backed by unrivaled longevity thanks to the CPU being designed for AMD’s Socket AM5 platform. Built on 2nd Gen AMD 3D V-Cache technology, the 9850X3D has been re-engineered to give direct cooler access to the processor cores, and is fully enabled for overclocking out of the box. This enables accelerated performance for everyday productivity tasks and even higher gaming performance.
Custom iBUYPOWER PCs can now be built with AMD’s Ryzen 9000 processors, including the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Starting options from iBUYPOWER’s custom configurator include a premium system with the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti – 16GB GPU, 32GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, 2TB of NVMe SSD storage, and a 1000 Watt PSU for $2,699. For those who prefer a guided building experience, iBUYPOWER’s PC Lab service lets customers easily build a computer using AMD’s 9850X3D CPU from the ground up, with each step validated for maximum compatibility and ease of use.”
Custom builds are now available and include iBUYPOWER’s extensive three-year labor and two-year parts. For those who live near a Microcenter, you’ll also be glad to know that iBUYPOWER has partnered up with them so that you can now take their PCs into a Microcenter for warranty repairs. No more having to ship it around and wait days for it to come back!

ARPG fans rejoice! A new game in the genre has just been announced, and while that alone may not bring too much excitement, the team leading it might, as it's being helmed by gaming veterans who previously worked on the Diablo franchise.
ARPG fans rejoice! A new game in the genre has just been announced, and while that alone may not bring too much excitement, the team leading it might, as it’s being helmed by gaming veterans who previously worked on the Diablo franchise.
Introducing Darkhaven, a new ARPG that aims to return the genre to its roots, while also pushing it forward to new heights.
Pearl Abyss has just released a new deep dive for their upcoming new IP, Crimson Desert, which shows off plenty of new gameplay, some new story details, as well as the many activities that players can do while roaming its open world.
Darkhaven Brings the ARPG Genre Back to Its Roots, While Offering Living Worlds
Developed by Moon Beast Productions, which was founded by Diablo veterans Philip Shenk, Peter Hu, and Erich Schaefer, Darkhaven sets out to return to the genre roots while bringing new innovative ideas to it. Set in a procedurally generated, fully dynamic, and persistent world, players will be able to play solo, co-op, and even participate in high-stakes PvP, all with destructible and buildable structures and environment, and dynamic weather that alters the field.
“From the very beginning, we wanted Darkhaven to feel good to play,” said Erich Schaefer, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer. “Movement is fun. Being able to jump over attacks, climb cliffs, dash out of danger, or swim across a lake that may or may not be infested with riverfangs changes how combat feels in this kind of game. It’s not just about numbers fighting numbers anymore. It’s much more engaging. For me, it becomes more about skill, finding flow, and making smart decisions in the moment. I’ve never had more fun making and playing an ARPG.”
“Great itemization is about possibility,” said Peter Hu, Co-Founder and President. “In Darkhaven, we want items that open doors, gear that makes you stop and rethink your build, your strategy, or even how you play the game. Finding something powerful should be exciting and inspiring, not something that gets smoothed out into tiny percentage gains.”
“We’re incredibly excited to finally reveal Darkhaven and open its Steam page,” said Philip Shenk, CEO and Co-Founder. “This project represents everything we’ve learned about ARPGs over the last two decades, and what becomes possible when those ideas are combined with modern technology. We’re building a world that remembers what you’ve done, bears the scars of your victories and failures, and tells stories that only your playthrough can create. With the community’s support, we’re ready to bring Darkhaven to Early Access, which will allow us to continue to build the game into the incredible experience we all want it to be.”
At the moment, there is no release date, though the game is available to wishlist on Steam, with a planned demo launching alongside its kickstarter soon.

For the complete details, reead on.for the patch notes.
Highguard New Update Adds New Content and Performance Improvements via Patch 1.004
5v5 Raid Mode – Experimental Playlist
For the weekend, we are experimenting with a 5v5 Raid Mode. This is a separate playlist and not meant to replace 3’s. 3v3 Raids are still there for people who enjoy it!
The lobby has been updated to allow for parties of 5 while the mode is live. Grab 4 friends and jump into some hectic raids!
A few small tweaks for this mode:
Raids are now 10 lives instead of 6
Respawns are slightly longer during raids to allow generators to be planted/defused
Dev note: As most of you know, we are working on optimizations across the game. Many are in this patch and 3v3 should see good improvements! But… adding 4 more players to the game is not going to improve performance, right? Please keep that in mind as you try 5v5!
Dev note 2: Firing Range does not support 5v5 at this time, so the Play button will be grayed out if your party is over 3.
New Base – Soul Well
Optimizations
This patch contains several optimizations that touch on animation performance, projectiles, draw submission times, and other gameplay systems. These optimizations benefit console and PC, but every PC is different, so the exact speedup to overall framerate is dependent on GPU, CPU, and other factors.
Quality of Life
Enabled these visual settings on PC and consoles
Motion blur toggle for PC and consoles
Anisotropic materials toggle for consoles (PC has this already)
Expect more patches to be released for Highguard soon.

Street Fighter 6 New Update on January 30 Applies Minor Patch
Per Capcom, today’s update “was released to prepare for future feature additions to the Battle Hub. Please note that this patch did not include any changes to the battle balancing.”
This means that players can expect zero gameplay changes in this update, and chances are, it’s set to introduce new cosmetics and other content in the coming weeks and months. Of course, we do know one character that’s incoming soon, and that’s Alex from Street Fighter 3.
Set to be part of the roster on March 17, Alex brings his wrestling moves to SF6!
Hailing from the Big Apple, it’s the brawler who puts the bomb in Power Bomb! Coming in at 245 pounds and with enough muscle to bench press the entire stadium, this New York native will show he’s the undisputed champion when he enters the Street Fighter 6 ring on March 17. Let’s hear it for ALEEEEEEEEEEEX!
Expect a patch to be released alongside Alex’s debut, and based on the data released today, chances are we’ll see one drop before that too.

Crimson Desert Dives Deep Into Its World With New Features Overview Video
Here’s a breakdown of what was shown in the deep dive (via Press Release)
“Players take on the role of Kliff, a warrior of the Greymanes, a faction from the northern region of Pailune known for its commitment to peace and unity. Crimson Desert begins in the aftermath of that peace being shattered, tasking Kliff with reuniting the Greymanes and reclaiming their homeland. As the journey expands, players discover that the fate of the entire continent is at stake.
A central threat emerges from the Abyss, a mysterious realm whose growing imbalance sends fragments crashing into Pywel. There are those who would exploit these remnants, pushing the world toward chaos. Restoring balance to the Abyss and confronting those who exploit its power become key elements of the narrative.
The featurette also outlines Crimson Desert’s open-world structure. Pywel is divided into five distinct regions: Hernand, Pailune, Demeniss, Delesyia and the Crimson Desert, each offering its own stories, environments and challenges. While the main quest follows Kliff’s journey, players are free to explore the world in any order, taking faction-driven quests, large-scale battles, fortress sieges and smaller, character-focused missions.
As the story progresses, two additional playable characters join Kliff. Each character features unique combat styles, skills and weapons, allowing players to experience exploration and combat in different ways.
Exploration plays a major role, with players able to traverse Pywel on horseback, climb terrain, glide across distances and later access advanced traversal options such as a missile-firing mech and a dragon. The world is filled with hidden treasures, ancient mechanisms, puzzles and points of interest designed to reward curiosity and discovery.
Combat encounters range from enemy soldiers and sorcerers to ferocious beasts and machines, testing players’ adaptability and skill. Powerful artifacts and equipment can be earned through quests, combat or exploration, while knowledge gathered from the world and its inhabitants provides clues and guidance, or even opens paths to acquire new skills. “
Crimson Desert arrives on March 19, 2026, on the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
