Elden Ring Radahn Cheese Discovered Involves Letting Him Drown Himself

A new Elden Ring Radahn cheese has been discovered, allowing players to bypass roughly half of the infamous boss’ healthbar. As discovered by shrewd players over on Twitter and Reddit, you can immediately kill Radahn after he does his falling meteor move by using a mechanic of the game that’s shared by all, both players and enemies, and that is the inability to swim. Check it out below.

Shared by HomeGrownCrown7 on Reddit and izuoku_ on Twitter, the Elden Ring Radahn cheese involves players heading to the edge of the boss’ arena, near the water, once Radahn hits his half health threshold. As those who have already faced him know, Radahn has a pseudo second phase once he hits 50 percent health, in which he flies up to the skies. After a short amount of time, he’ll land as a meteor, dealing a ton of damage to the player and summons if it hits, usually one-shotting if your vigor is not high enough.

Radahn can fall off the map during the meteor attack
byu/HomeGrownCrown7 inEldenring

https://twitter.com/izuoku_/status/1512098221371191296

However, it turns out that Radahn himself, despite being a nigh invincible demigod, shares the same weakness as with every being in the Lands Between: he cannot swim. If you stand close enough to the edge of the battlefield facing the ocean at just the right time, his meteor attack will land squarely on the water, immediately killing him.

It’s quirky all right, and from a lore perspective it’s hard to believe that such a fearsome deity that conquered the stars do not know how to swim, but this workaround should be a good alternative for those who are having trouble beating him. After all, Radahn is incredibly difficult to take down once he hits his second phase, and cheesing him may be the only way to beat him for some of Elden Ring’s players.

In case you missed it, check out the latest patch notes for Elden Ring here, which coincidentally had something to do with Starscourge Radahn’s unintentional nerf.

  • Reputation Rank 7: Enhancement Prism (3)
  • Reputation Rank 10: Trials Weapon (Changes for each rank reset)
  • Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module (2)
  • Reputation Rank 16: Trials Weapon (Changes for each rank reset)
  • Flawless Reward: Shayura’s Wrath (Adept)

Reputation System, Trials Engrams, and Adept Farming

Win individual rounds within each match to gain trials reputation. The amount of reputation you gain increases with each round you’ve won on your card. Earn enough reputation, and you’ll be able to claim a Trials Engram from Saint-14! This engram can be focused into any currently available trials loot you have previously obtained, or it can be taken to Master Rahool for a random Trials drop. Your reputation increases after every match completion, based on the number of round-wins on your card, regardless of the result of that match itself (win or lose, 0-5 or 5-4).

Once you have gone flawless, keep playing! Every win on your still-flawless card will give you a chance at bonus, additional post-match drops of the Adept weapon for that week. Once you lose a game, you will no longer get these adept drops. However, still winning games at 7 wins even on a non-flawless can drop bonus trials engrams, prisms, and even ascendant shards.

When you’re done, you can cash in your 7-win passage for one additional adept drop, granted you have gone flawless that week. This resets your card so you can start anew.

The Quarry Gameplay Unveiled, Featuring 30 Minutes of the Prologue

Supermassive Games has unveiled a first look for The Quarry gameplay, showing off 30 minutes of footage directly from the game’s prologue! The prologue sets the tone of the game, and it features two characters on their way to the eponymous quarry. Check out the gameplay footage below.

During the prologue of The Quarry, teenage camp counselors Laura (Siobhan Williams) and her boyfriend Max (Skyler Gisondo) drive to Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp one night earlier than they were scheduled to arrive. Things do not go as planned.

This first look at gameplay sets the stage for the harrowing events that follow, giving you just a taste of what’s in store. Unimaginable choices await you as the other counselors of Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp struggle to survive an unpredictable night of horror.

The prologue gameplay’s ending leaves a lot to the imagination, and players will have to wait and see for The Quarry to come out to find out what happens to Laura and Max. If it’s anything like Supermassive’s older titles, though, do not expect anything good – unless you made the right choices, that is.

The Quarry is releasing on June 10 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC to Include Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-)

Bandai Namco and Dimps have now announced that a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC is on its way later this year. With this new DLC, players will be able to get the Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-).

Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) is a new form that the character earned during the Dragon Ball Super anime a few years ago. It’s the first stage of Ultra Instinct which means he still has black hair as opposed to grey hair in the full version.

Fans voted for Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) to appear as a playable character in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Other characters that did not make the cut included Dyspo, Bergamo, Vegeta in Dragon Ball GT, and Android 18 in Dragon Ball Super.

You can see more in the trailer posted down below.

This version of Goku will be available as paid DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and is to be releasing sometime in Summer 2022. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out now for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia platforms.

Halo Infinite Season 2 Trailer Revealed; New Season Out on May 3

Despite the co-op campaign being delayed once again, 343 Industries is pushing on with the Halo Infinite Season 2 trailer, showing off a peek at what’s coming new to the game in May 3. Check out the trailer for yourself below, as well as a few details on what’s coming in the next season of Halo Infinite.

Lone Wolves, gear up for Season 2 of Halo Infinite! Experience fresh content including new maps, modes, themed limited-time events, and an all-new Battle Pass that never expires.

This new season is a great boon for the game’s players, as Halo Infinite has been in quite the content drought for some time now. It’s been a while since 343 has came out with something new for the game as the studio has been busy delivering fixes for the issues plaguing the game, so much so that they have revealed that they once again delayed the co-op campaign.

On the flip side, it looks like the new battle pass that’s coming with this new season does not expire, so there’s that silver lining for players who find themselves with limited time to play. Here’s hoping that 343 does address some of the issues with this next season, as the studio did say that they will be delivering some fixes alongside the new content with Season 2.

Stay tuned here at MP1st for the full patch notes once the latest season of Halo Infinite is out!

Returnal Wins BAFTA Best Game Award

As if the game needed even more accolades, Housemarque’s Returnal has won the BAFTA (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Best Game Award! The announcement was made via the organization’s Twitter account today.

While Returnal was released as a single-player game in April 2021, Housemarque has provided non-stop updates to the game with the most recent one titled “Acension,” and even added co-op — and all for free!

If you still haven’t played the game, go read our review of it here, where we state, “Returnal is a great game and showcase for the PS5. It reminds me of what I have aways loved about video games; gameplay that hooks you and keeps you invested in that “one more quarter” kind of way that so relatively few games do these days. Housemarque largely succeeds with their first AAA outing in a big way and have released what I feel is the first true Game of the Year contender for 2021.”

Generation Zero Update 1.28 Out for Base Assault This April 7

Systemic Reaction has released the Generation Zero update 1.28 patch today, and this one is for the free Base Assault update across platforms! Check out the full Generation Zero April 7 update patch notes below.

Generation Zero Update 1.28 Patch Notes | Generation Zero April 7 Update Patch Notes | Generation Zero Base Assault Patch Notes:

Our second patch for the year is here; say hello to the Base Assault Update! With this release, we’re introducing not only new features and exciting new narrative but also long sought-after improvements to the map and inventory.

Base Assault

As you might have seen in our Announcement Trailer, FNIX and the Machines have learned and evolved which has led us to the new mode, Base Assault. This is an exciting new addition to Generation Zero where players attack procedurally generated FNIX bases in the Forest Region!

Thanks to the groundbreaking new system that we have developed for this, each playthrough is unique, due to a large number of base layouts and challenges. The difficulty, size, and layout of each base can also evolve, like our Rivals, if players continue to increase the threat level in the region.

Not only are all assaults unique, but you will also face dangerous challenges and tricks from FNIX in each attack. This includes deadly turrets, mines, and FNIX reinforcements. Just like your own player-built base, these bases are fully destructible and if you’re clever enough you’ll use this to your advantage as you shoot your way to the various objectives and look for looting opportunities within.

If you manage to conquer one of the FNIX bases you’ll be rewarded with Command Tokens which you can use to convert conquered or neutral control point locations to the Resistance! Using Command Tokens will enable you to open up a whole new set of locations to build additional bases.

New bases you say? The Forest region now has seven new control point locations in addition to the original one that was added with the Resistance Update! As a player, you can build bases on any of these and have up to four bases active within the region. But be aware, these can be attacked by FNIX through base defense missions.

World Improvements

Our world revamps continue and this time we’ve been working with the renewal of the Marshlands to be more in line with the Soviet narrative that we’ve introduced with the Landfall Update. As with previous revamps, old locations have been updated to add more detail, variation, and narrative and in addition to this there are also several new exciting locations to discover as you explore the region.

New Side Missions

It’s finally time to find out where they came from! The Base Assault Update introduces two new side missions linked to the Matryoshka collectibles that we’ve introduced in the Landfall Update. But, there’s a twist; This time we’re seeing it from the eyes of the Resistance. Explore the Marshlands region to find out more!

Free Buildings Pack

This update is not all about Assault, even though that might be the fun part! To give your base some new flair we’re bringing you the free Soviet Buildings Pack. These can be used for any of your Forest region bases once they’ve been claimed by the Resistance.

Defense
  • Soviet Pillbox: Sturdy shooting position manned by a hidden fighter using an AI-76 assault rifle that fires automatically at any hostile unit that comes within its field of view.
  • Soviet Guardhouse: Tall shooting position made of concrete, steel, and sandbags.
Walls
  • Soviet Reinforced Wall: A tall wall made of concrete and steel features a shooting hatch that can be opened manually.
  • Soviet Reinforced Pylon: Tall pylon made of concrete and steel that is great for adding corners and end posts to high walls.
  • Soviet Reinforced Gate: Tall gate made of concrete and steel that can be opened manually or automatically.
  • Soviet Barrier: Low barricade made of steel and sandbags.
  • Soviet Barrier Pylon: Low concrete pylon that is great for adding corners and end posts to barricades.
  • Soviet Concrete Wall: Tall, thick, and sturdy concrete wall with barbed wire on top.
  • Soviet Concrete Pylon: Tall concrete pylon with barbed wire on top that’s great for adding corners and end posts to high walls.
  • Soviet Gate: A steel gate with beautiful emblems and can be opened manually or automatically.
Decorative
  • Large Soviet Crate: A wooden crate used by Soviet forces to transport items.
UX Improvements
Inventory Sorting

You’ve asked for it, and here it is; Inventory Sorting. We’ve now added a number of filters and sorting methods for each section of the inventory. Now, you’ll be able, for example, to sort all your Primary Weapons by Alphabetical or Chronological order, Damage Output, Quality, etc., or filter them by Quality (good, worn, dilapidated, etc.) or Ammo Type, just to mention a few criteria. Make sure to try it out to find your own preferences!

Map Icon Filters

You can now filter icons of different categories on the map. Additionally, you can create your own custom filter to display only the icons you are interested in.

Rogue Legacy 2 Release Date Set for April 28; New Trailer Unveiled

A charming roguelite sidescroller will exit early access later this month, as developer Cellar Door Games announce the Rogue Legacy 2 release date alongside an animated trailer. Roguue Legacy 2 exits early access this April 28, and you can check out the trailer for yourself below, as well as its many key features.

Besides the release date, here are the key features of Rogue Legacy 2:

  • Every Adventure is Unique – New monsters, new traps, and new layouts await you every time you enter the Kingdom. This is a world where improvisation, and not memorization is the key to success.
  • Wildly New Classes – No two classes play the same. Hide atop Ivy Canopies as the Ranger, and rain poisoned arrows down onto your foes. Take to the skies as a Dragon Lancer and fly across the skies striking foes at massive speeds. Or sing and dance through your enemies, as the joyous bard, leaving only a trail of bodies behind you. Rogue Legacy 2 supports 15 new classes, with 15 distinct styles of play.
  • Brand New Style – We’re taking a whole new artistic approach to Rogue Legacy 2. The sequel features 2.5D stylings, with 3D characters against hand-drawn backdrops. The art uses heavy shading and all animations are done using stepping techniques to keep the familiar Rogue Legacy look and feel.
  • Revamped Biome Generation – We went all-out with biome generation to make each area in Rogue Legacy 2 feel completely new. Each biome adopts different “build strategies” to create completely unique yet-still-randomly-generated regions.
  • True Metroidvania – To really push the metroidvania flair, Rogue Legacy 2 introduces heirlooms: special items that permanently give your heroes new abilities that fully reveal the world’s secrets. These are not basic lock-in-key abilities, but powers that fundamentally change how you play. And heirlooms are not simply handed to you. You must prove your worth, provided you can find them.
  • Traits 2.0 – Though fun the first time, the traits in the original Rogue Legacy often wore their welcome later in the game. We’ve now added gold modifiers to entice players to take on new challenges. The more debilitating the trait is (in-game), the bigger the reward. This makes choosing your heirs a meaningful decision every time.
  • Relics and Resolve – One of the most exciting new features to Rogue Legacy 2 is the ability to pick up Relics, which are unique items that change how your run is played. Gain stat modifiers, complete special challenges, and even gain brand new abilities as you traverse the kingdom. But be careful, the more Relics you obtain the more your resolve is shaken, and all Relics are lost if your hero perishes.
  • Improved Accessibility – We’ve taken accessibility to the next level with the introduction of House Rules. Toggle contact damage, tweak global damage and health, and even give yourself flight for difficult platform sections. You have complete control over how you want to play the game. We’ve also introduced new mechanics such as Off-shore Banking to give struggling players more ways to succeed.
  • A Rich Narrative – Not only is the lore to the world of Rogue Legacy greatly expanded in the sequel, but it runs deep. New lore awaits you all the multiple New Games in. Beating the game once is only the beginning. Learn about the inevitable collapse of a once thriving kingdom, and discover the dark secrets of the ones responsible. And connect and build relationships with the characters you meet along the way.
  • New Game+ for Days – Your journey has only begun after beating the final boss in Rogue Legacy 2. There is a ton more to explore and discover on multiple playthroughs. You must choose how the game gets harder, from unique biome hazards, to special boss fights. The experience keeps changing for near infinite replayability.
  • More of Everything – Of course we’re also adding more of everything people loved from the original Rogue Legacy. More traits, more spells, more classes, more biomes, more enemies, more equipment, more rooms, more story. More secrets… Just more everything.

Rogue Legacy 2 is currently in early access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and once it fully launches on April 28 you can also get it on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.

Hunt Showdown Update 1.51 Out for 1.8 Hotfix 4 This April 7

Crytek has released the Hunt Showdown update 1.51 patch today, and this one is for Hotfix #4 for the recently released Update 1.8! Check out the full Hunt Showdown April 7 update patch notes below.

Hunt Showdown Update 1.51 Patch Notes | Hunt Showdown April 7 Update Patch Notes:

Below are the notes for the latest Hotfix to Update 1.8 (1.8.0.4):

  • Fixed an issue and exploit where players could be killed multiple times during a game. Please be aware, we are in the process of reverting the kills of those who have abuse this bug to excessivley inflate their KD ratio. For those that have excessively abused this exploit, we will be issuing warnings and bans depending on the severity
  • Fixed an issue that caused Golden Cash Register to constantly spawn in certain location. This was not intended and the spawns are for the most part intended to be random.
  • General server stability improvements.

Developer note:

We know that the server issues that have been encountered over the last two weeks have been very frustrating, especially while the event is currently active. This hotfix is aimed at improving the overall server stability and hopefully will significantly reduce the issues as well as the need for restarts.

We are currently discussing the possibility of extending the event (as well as compensation) and should have an update for you all later today.

~The Hunt Team

That’s about it for the patch. For a bit of context, Crytek released a hotfix a few days ago warning players of the kills exploit. You can check out the full patch notes for that one here.

Godfall Update 1.09 Out for Exalted Patch & More This April 7

Counterplay Games has released the Godfall update 1.09 (PS5 version 05.000.118) patch today, and this one is for the huge Exalted update! Check out the full Godfall April 7 update patch notes below.

Godfall Update 1.09 Patch Notes | Godfall Update 05.000.118 Patch Notes | Godfall April 7 Update Patch Notes:

Godfall: Ultimate Edition and Exalted Update (5.0.118) Release Notes

Godfall: Ultimate Edition is the first version of Godfall available on the Xbox and Steam platforms, and we wanted to welcome both new Valorians as well as veteran players with the best version of Godfall to date. The free Exalted Update also brings new game modes and new unlocks to chase, while also allowing us to revisit some of our core systems and retool them to better reflect our original vision for the game.

Valorplate Shards

Valorplate Shards are a new set of powerful, Valorplate-specific unlocks that transform the combat experience in unique ways. Players will be able to mix and match their favorite Shards to create a loadout that best fits their playstyle and allows them to get even more power out of their favorite Valorplates and builds.

Collecting & Upgrading Shards

Each Valorplate has been enhanced with four Valorplate Shards that can be unlocked by completing various objectives while wearing that Valorplate, such as defeating a specific boss or reaching a specific floor in Ascended Tower of Trials. Once unlocked, players can equip up to two Shards at a time and gain access to powerful new modifiers on their abilities.

Ascend to Power

Once unlocked, Valorplate Shards can be upgraded up to five times at the Forge to become even stronger. Upgrading Shards requires crafting materials and electrum, and your ability to upgrade is limited by the number of Shards you have unlocked across all Valorplates. Unlock more Shards to increase your maximum Shard upgrade level.

Unlocking and upgrading Shards has additional benefits:

  • Ascend your Valorplate by unlocking all of its available Shards, gaining access to a powerful new passive ability exclusive to that Valorplate
  • Exalt your Valorplate by upgrading all of its Shards to max level, unlocking another passive ability as well as an Exalted cosmetic for that Valorplate

Ascended and Exalted Valorplates will be highlighted in Sanctum, allowing you to see your collection progress every time you return from missions.

Exalted Tower of Trials

With Valorplate Shards granting players more power than ever before, we wanted to make sure that players had new challenges as well. Available after completing the Ascended Tower of Trials, Exalted Tower of Trials is a series of the most challenging encounters in Godfall.

  • No boons or banes – your best builds vs. 10 floors of the most challenging encounters in Godfall
  • New loot exclusive to Exalted Tower of Trials: Triple Primary Weapons
  • Earn Cursed, Primal Items & Dual Primary Augments
  • Can be done solo, but multiplayer is highly recommended

Spirit Realms

The Spirit Realms are a new game mode in which the barrier between the Material and the Spirit Planes has been weakened to the point where Valorians can pass between them at will. Spirit Vision, traditionally allowing players to peer through the Spirit Plane, will now cause players to shift back and forth between planes; this mechanic changes the approach to both combat and exploration.

  • Engage in Planar Combat – While exploring the realms you’ll encounter enemies that exist in either the Physical or Spirit Realm and can only be damaged while on that plane; shift back and forth between planes to vanquish your enemies.
  • Explore the Spirit Realm – Discover new challenges and powerful boosts while traversing the Spirit Realm. Defeating enemies in the Material and Spirit Planes causes them to drop Souls that can be used in various ways:
    • Soul Altars can be activated to trigger challenging encounters that drop Elder Souls upon completion
    • Shards of Macros can be activated to release Macros’ memories and gain powerful Boons
    • Spirit Gates allow you to quickly teleport around the Realm
  • Activate the Elder Gate – The Elder Gate can be activated once you have collected enough Elder Souls from the various Soul Altars around the Realm. The Elder Gate leads you to an epic final showdown with the realm’s boss high up in the sky.
  • Spirit Bosses – All bosses featured in Spirit Realms have been updated with new mechanics allowing them to fight across both the Material and the Spirit Plane in exciting new ways.
  • Calling All Valorians – Spirit Realms can be completed by yourself or in a party with up to two friends. Matchmaking for Spirit Realms will also be available and will support up to six players in the realm at once, making Spirit Realms the largest scale multiplayer experience in Godfall to date.
  • Complete all the Realm Loops – Defeating a Realm Boss only suppresses its power temporarily. The Realm will loop several times before it’s fully completed, increasing difficulty and rewards each loop. Stay and complete all Realm Loops for the biggest reward, or drop out at any time and keep the rewards you have gotten so far.
  • Dual Primary Augments – Once the Realm Boss is defeated it will drop rewards, including a new type of loot: Dual Primary Augments! The type and amount of Dual Primary Augments it will drop is influenced by the power and affinity of the Elder Souls used to charge the Elder Gate.

Revisiting the World of Godfall

Path to Realm Boss

One of the most consistent pieces of feedback we received on the Godfall story campaign was that the process of collecting Sigils to unlock Realm bosses impeded momentum in the story and could occasionally feel like a grind. The Sigil mechanic has been removed and replaced by the Path to Realm Boss system, giving players agency over when and how they take on the bosses of the various Realms.

  • Realm Bosses now appear on the Holomap until they are defeated in the story, and can be attacked as soon as their missions are available
  • Realm Bosses are protected by their Captains. Each Captain provides the Realm Boss with a powerful Boss Modifier that will make them a formidable challenge in a direct fight.
  • Defeating each Captain is optional but will remove their associated Boss Modifier, weakening the Realm Boss and tilting the odds in the player’s favor.

Revamped Story Experience

With new Valorians on Xbox and Steam entering Aperion for the very first time, we wanted to take this opportunity to revisit the Godfall campaign and create more opportunities for players to engage with the world.

  • Story Missions have been reorganized, with previous side missions now integrated into the main story path
  • Removed some Hunt missions to keep players focused on critical path activities. These missions will still appear as Dreamstones
  • Valorian NPCs now appear in Sanctum and may fight alongside you in Story Missions, helping provide additional context
  • New cinematics added throughout the main story
  • Enemies now appear via tribe-specific arrival methods, rather than the standard portals
  • Added new contextual load screens across all game modes

Slay in Style

This update brings a series of new cosmetics to chase, unlock, and show off while playing with friends.

  • 12 Exalted Valorplate cosmetics, received when all of the Shards for a Valorplate are fully upgraded
  • 4 new cosmetics for each Weapon type
  • 5 new Shield cosmetics
  • 5 new Banner cosmetics

Check out all of these new cosmetics in the updated cosmetics viewer, or in Sanctum where each Valorplate Pedestal will now display its currently equipped cosmetic!

Some existing cosmetics have received new visual effects to make them look more exciting.

Quality of Life Improvements

Valorplate Loadouts

One of our main quality of life goals with the Godfall: Ultimate Edition was to truly make Godfall the tinkerer’s dream. What better way to promote that goal than with the long-awaited addition of loadouts?

  • Create up to three distinct loadouts for each Valorplate, each with its own configurations of Gear, Augments, Shards, Skills, and Cosmetics. Design the perfect builds for every situation!
  • As part of this work, Skills have been changed from a global setting across all Valorplates to being Valorplate-specific. Skills can now be accessed and configured via the Valorplate section in the Player Menu
  • Copy individual loadout elements across Valorplates in Sanctum

Inventory Sorting/Filtering

We took an important step forward in the Lightbringer Update with the addition of Mass Salvage, enabling players to quickly convert unwanted items into useful materials and currency. With the introduction of sorting and filtering, we wanted to make the process of finding the right items for the perfect builds easier than ever before.

  • Sort your inventory by Newest, Favorite, Rarity, Level, or Name, as well as a handful of slot-specific properties (e.g. DPS for Weapons and Health Recovery for Life Stones)
  • Filter your inventory by Rarity, Mutations (Cursed/Primal/Awakened), Traits (e.g. Critical Hit or Ailments), and a number of slot-specific properties (e.g. Weapon Type for Weapons)

Please note that when mass salvaging while your inventory is filtered, only items that appear in the current filter will be salvaged.

We’ve also made it easier to flip through pages of your inventory on gamepad as you now can use the right analog stick to do so.

Player Revive System

Players will now enter a downed state upon reaching 0% health. rather than immediately dying, respawning, and automatically consuming one of the limited lives in endgame content. Downed players can be revived by other players in multiplayer, bringing them back to life where they stand at partial health.

  • Downed players will slowly bleed out, and will die after X seconds if not revived
  • Revived players are brought to their feet at 50% health
  • Reviving a teammate will consume life stone charges in more challenging content
  • Revived players will not count against the game mode life counter

Combat Improvements

Attack Changes

  • Weapon Techniques for all weapons can now be used to initiate brand new Timing Attacks after reaching level 5 in the Weapon Technique Skill node
  • Improved the damage output of Timing Attacks to make them more rewarding to execute
  • The heavy Timing Attack for Dual Blades has been replaced and can now be completed more quickly
  • The hitbox for the Warhammer Heavy Timing Attack has been improved, and enemies are now hit by multiple parts of the attack both in front of and behind the player
  • The hitbox for the Warhammer Northern Technique has also been improved so that enemies are also hit during the windup animation
  • Added Weapon Technique Timing Attacks for Dual Blades, Polearms, Greatswords, and Warhammers
  • Added a visual cue for when the Spectral Takedown ability is available
  • Level 5 in the Ailments Skill node now causes Spinning Blast and Shield Bash to consume Ailments

Knockdown Changes

  • Players can no longer be knocked down by regular enemy attacks; attacks that will knock the player down now have a clear visual indicator and can be blocked, parried, or dodged
  • Level 2 in the Finesse Skill node will now unlock Quick Recovery, a new ability that enables the player pop back up from a knockdown state more quickly to escape further damage

General Combat Changes

  • Enemies are now disabled for longer after parrying Perilous Attacks, making it more rewarding to do so
  • Players no longer lose Archon Fury charge during enemy grab attacks
  • Added a visual flourish when switching between weapons
  • Improved readability of AOE zones, enabling players to better differentiate between friendly and hostile ground effects
  • Improved combat haptics on supported gamepads

General Quality of Life Improvements

  • Some of the more punishing banes in Ascended Tower of Trials have been updated to enable more reasonable counterplay from the player:
    • The “Life Stone Disabled” bane now reduces Health Recovery by 50%
    • The “Banner Disabled” bane now reduces Banner duration by 50%
    • The “Archon Fury Disabled” bane now reduces Archon Fury Charge Speed by 50%
  • Improved the Gameplay section of the Codex to add more tips for game modes and mechanics
  • Doubled reward rate for Mirrors of Duplication, enabling players to clone more items from Quest rewards
  • The Player Level experience bar in the personal menu is now replaced by an Ascension Level experience bar after reaching Player Level 50
  • Enhanced the Detailed Stats screen to include stats for Ailments, additional damage, and Overhealth
  • Added Sanctum VO at the beginning of the Tower of Trials as well as the end, indicating that the Tower has been completed
  • The “Banner of Flame” banner cosmetic has been renamed to “Crown of Fire”

Balance changes

To ensure a balanced combat experience and to reduce the need for certain “must have” items, we have made the following balance changes:

  • Ailments deal 20% less damage
  • Overhealth Retention traits have been reduced by approximately 25% – 50%
  • Lion Talisman (Legendary Charm) effectiveness has been reduced by approximately 50%

LEGO & Epic Games Announce Partnership for Metaverse

LEGO and Epic Games have announce a collaboration, with ther latest venture aimed at the ever-growing Metaverse. The Fortnite publisher release a post on their plans for the Metaverse, as they partner with LEGO to create “a place for kids to play.” Check out the rundown on the announcement below.

Niels B Christiansen, LEGO Group’s CEO, had this to say on the partnership:

“Kids enjoy playing in digital and physical worlds and move seamlessly between the two. We believe there is huge potential for them to develop life-long skills such as creativity, collaboration and communication through digital experiences. But we have a responsibility to make them safe, inspiring and beneficial for all. Just as we’ve protected children’s rights to safe physical play for generations, we are committed to doing the same for digital play. We look forward to working with Epic Games to shape this exciting and playful future.

As the cornerstone of this new partnership, Epic Games also outlined three principles that they will follow alongside LEGO in their plans for the Metaverse:

  • Protect children’s right to play by making safety and wellbeing a priority.
  • Safeguard children’s privacy by putting their best interests first.
  • Empower children and adults with tools that give them control over their digital experience.

It should not surprise anyone if we also see LEGO coming soon to Fornite, as the ever-popular battle royale has been acting as a Metaverse of sorts for some time now, with collaborations between major franchises and other publishers.

Interested in playing Fortnite without the building? Epic Games also recently announced Zero Build, a special permanent mode for the game that breaks the battle royale down to its very basics: shooting! Check it out for yourself here.

Cryptic Studios has released the Neverwinter update 10.10 patch today, and ths one is for changes to Lockbox of Dark Omens, plus the usual changes and fixes to the game! Check out the full Neverwinter April 7 update patch notes below.

Neverwinter Update 10.10 Patch Notes | Neverwinter April 7 Update Patch Notes:

Combat and Powers

Classes and Balance

  • Bard: Various Bard powers no longer incorrectly remove targeting indicators that are used for various boss mechanics.

Items and Economy

Enchantments

  • Overload enchantments now properly dissipate when their time expires.

Lockbox of Dark Omens

  • Dragon Hunter – Account: This companion-unlocking item can no longer be sold to a vendor.

  • Players who own the Hunting Hawk – Account should now be able to reclaim their Hunting Hawks at the Rewards Claims Agent once again.

Performance and Stability

General

  • A known cause of map-wide disconnects has been addressed.

That’s about it for the small patch. If there are any more changes made to Neverwinter, we’ll be sure to let you know, so stay tuned!

Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #16 & Reward (Apr 7 – Apr 14)

It’s Thursday and you know what that means right? That’s right, another set of new challenges to be done, and a reward to be earned in Battlefield 2042! Here’s all the requirements to unlock the Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #15 (Apr 7 – Apr 14) rewards.

Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #16 (Apr 7 – Apr 14): Low Poly Epic Weapon Charm

How to Complete and Earn Battlefield 2042 Weekly Reset Challenge #16 (Apr 7 – Apr 14) Reward:

  •  Revive 15 teammates – Reward 5000 XP
  •  Get 50 kills and assists with LMGs or marksman rifles – Reward 5000 XP
  •  Capture or neutralize 10 objectives – Reward 5000 XP

This week’s set of challenges should be pretty easy. We recommend tackling the 10 objective one by jumping into a match of conquest where it should be easy enough to capture or neutralize points. You’ll want to travel in groups, so stick to the squad or follow other teammates to capture points quickly. Pay attention to when they go down as it should make for easy revives, though as always pay attention to the surroundings so you aren’t an easy target for the enemies when you revive. As for the 50 kills, equip whatever LMG or marksman rifle you feel most comfortable with. If you are finding it difficult to get kills in an objective based game mode, try joining a portal experience such as team deathmatch, or even rush where the fighting is more linear.

Once you have completed all three challenges you’ll be rewarded the Low Poly epic weapon charm, which can be used on any weapon. Congrats!

Every week on Thursday at 4:00am PT/6:00am CT/7:00am ET the Battlefield 2042 weekly challenges refresh, revealing a new weekly reward. If you are interested in staying up-to-date on when these rewards and weekly challenges drop, be sure to follow MP1st on Twitter, or keep a watchful eye on our guide page for Battlefield 2042.
