Battlefield V Physical Sales Down More Than Half Compared to Battlefield 1 in the UK

While Battlefield V officially launched this November 20, which puts it in a prime spot for the big holiday sales spree, it seems that in terms of physical sales, Battlefield V is tracking well behind Battlefield 1!

According to Eurogamer, Battlefield V sold less than half the physical copies Battlefield 1 did at launch, and BF1 was only on sale for three days in comparison to Battlefield V’s five days.

Before anyone panics, this doesn’t tell the entire story though. Battlefield V was playable earlier via the Digital Deluxe edition (granting access on November 15), which most likely pushed a lot of people to purchase the game digitally. Also, these are via Chart-Track, which tracks purely physical sales, and only from the UK. This number could very well be reversed in the US and in other parts of the world.

Here’s the full top 10:

  1. FIFA 19
  2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  3. Red Dead Redemption 2
  4. Battlefield 5
  5. Forza Horizon 4
  6. Marvel’s Spider-Man
  7. Fallout 76
  8. Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu
  9. Spyro Trilogy
  10. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

If you’re on the fence whether to get Battlefield V, make sure to read our review to see why we said, “DICE’s Battlefield V sets a new bar for World War 2 shooters by having an incredible arsenal of maps, player customization, weapons, and gameplay features new to the series”

Do you think Battlefield V will outsell Battlefield 1? Or has DICE made too many changes to the core gameplay of BFV that it might alienate some old-school Battlefield players? Or is this purely due to the controversy the game garnered since release for including women soldiers? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

This Step by Step Guide Should Help You Get PlayStation Promotional Offers From Sony

We’ve all seen it; those discount codes, free themes, free PlayStation Plus memberships and the like, which are sent by Sony (seemingly) at random. While it seems the “other” person (read: not you) always gets the codes, there’s a good chance that you’ve done something on your end to prevent it from happening.

Over on Reddit, user rygarswf mentions that tweaking his Communications Preferences on his PS4 did the trick! What’s a “Communications Preferences” you’re wondering? It’s a way for Sony to send the gamer (you) promotional emails and whatnot.

Here’s how to turn it on (note: it needs to be activated via your console and not the browser of your PSN profile).

Settings > Account Management > Account Information . Communication Preferences (check the box asking, “do you want to receive notifications about new products, special offers and other promotions?”).

Voila! That’s it. Reddit user rygarswf mentions that after doing this, he has received 6-7 emails from Sony in the past two weeks. Do bear in mind that this is NOT a guarantee that you’ll get discount codes, and other freebies, but it’s a start.

Another thing users have mentioned is adding “+psn” to your email address registered to PSN.

Do these steps and let us know if it works for you. There’s no 100 percent, guaranteed way that Sony will send you each and every discount code and freebie, but this gives you a fighting chance at least.

Red Dead Online Beta Release Date & Time Announced, Access Being Granted in Waves

As promised by Rockstar Games, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, called Red Dead Online, will assault gamers this week! Those who purchase the Ultimate edition of the game, the Red Dead Online beta release date for you will be tomorrow, November 26 at 8:30 a.m. ET!

Red Dead Online beta access is coming in waves, however, as those who played on November 26 gains access on Wednesday, anyone who played between October 26 and October 29 gets in on Thursday, and every Red Dead Redemption 2 player can get in on the action by Friday.

To date, there’s no set time and limit to Red Dead Online, and Rockstar is aiming for beta participants to keep their progress in the game while they’re testing it out. In case you didn’t know, Red Dead Online will be free for everyone who owns Red Dead Redemption 2.

Here’s what Rockstar Games has to say about Red Dead Online:

“The launch of the Red Dead Online Beta is the first step in what will be a continually expanding and dynamic world, and the beta period will allow us to deal with the inevitable turbulence of launching any online experience of this size and scale.

During this process, we will be looking to our dedicated and amazing community to help us report and fix problems, share ideas, and assist in shaping the future of the full Online experience. As with all of our releases, we will strive to make the launch of Red Dead Online the best it can possibly be, and we ask that the community share that spirit with us over the next weeks and months.”

What can players do in Red Dead Online aside from bashing each other’s heads in? They’ll be able to hunt, fish, go treasure hunting, and basically do everything they were doing in the single-player story mission. Well, minus the story, anyway, though it’s said to feature some sort of narrative to tie the experience together.

Rockstar mentions that they will have more info to share starting tomorrow, and you can bet your sweet saddle that MP1st will be here to cover ’em all.

Are you excited to form a posse and ride into towns with your online friends as outlaws?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Undead Nightmare Hinted at by Creepy Easter Egg, Watch What Happens & Where to Find It

If you’ve played Red Dead Redemption back when it was released, there’s a good chance that you also tried the game’s expansion, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. As the title suggests, the undead makes their way into the game, and even has a campaign of its own.

There’s a new Red Dead Redemption 2 Easter egg discovered just now, and it heavily hints at Red Dead 2 Undead Nightmare! Reddit user BrodytheBeast20 found a creepy Easter egg that you’ll want to check out for yourself to know what I mean. Note that the footage below might be considered spoiler-ish, so proceed at your own discretion!

Saw it? Creepy, right? And if you’ve played Undead Nightmare, the footage will look very familiar. If you want to see it for yourself, it’s located in an abandoned town by the trapper in Tall Trees near Blackwater. It’s the well near Bear Claw shack. Here’s the location marked with the money icon (thanks to OmarGharb):

LOCATION (via cheeseweezle): Bear Claw Camp, east of the “S” on Tall Trees. Group of 4 cabins. Well is near the West-most Cabin!

Another Reddit user, Noremac64, has uploaded footage of Arthur in the well, and while he also changes, it’s not as drastic as John.

There are reports that say the zombie look might be honor-related, with higher honor showing white eyes and pale, though not as disfigured.

Of course, this could very well be nothing but just a cool Easter egg and as a nod to Undead Nightmare, but it’s a little too bit on the nose if so, right?

Go check out the Easter egg for yourselves, and let us know what you see. Do you think this means we’ll see a Red Dead 2 Undead Nightmare DLC or just a little wink by Rockstar? Let us know in the comments below.

Can EA’s Live Streaming Venture Be Successful?

During E3 2018, the biggest games industry event of the year, video game publisher EA made a splash by announcing that it is working on its very own streaming service. The service, which isn’t ready for “prime time”, according to the publisher, was being demoed to press during the event. While we will have to wait until it becomes available to the public, initial reviews suggested that it at least functions as EA intends.

The big question, though, is whether or not this venture could be successful. Yes, gamers have made more of a move towards digital games, with more gamers downloading games, but would they be open to game streaming as well? EA is putting a lot of money and resources into making this happen, but not everyone is convinced that it could work out.

Are Other Studios Getting Involved in Live Streaming?

One thing EA will take confidence from is that other studios and companies have successfully transitioned into game live streaming already. For example, there are mobile games, including live casino games, which allow players to play classics such as blackjack and roulette while interacting with a live dealer. These games allow players to communicate with dealers as they enjoy and play these games on the go. The ease of accessing these live games could also suggest that gamers may be open to a console or PC-based system such as EA’s. Another example of live gaming fun on mobile devices is that live trivia show HQ Trivia. HQ Trivia games take place multiple times a day and players tune in to answer a range of questions, including general knowledge questions and themed rounds based on movies, music, or even set decades. A host reads out questions, offering up quips, puns and bad (but hilarious) jokes along the way. There’s also a prize as players could potentially win thousands of dollars just for getting the answers right! In the long run, EA may not need to provide incentives to players in the same way that HQ Trivia does, but it may encourage players to get involved in the first place.

How Other Companies Are Getting Involved Too

Of course, with live streaming being so popular and accessible, there is a danger that the ecosystem could become a little too saturated. In the weeks since EA made that announcement at E3, Microsoft has also announced its very own Project xCloud, which has been designed with the idea of getting console-quality games (including games released on the Xbox One) and PC-level titles working smoothly on mobile devices. The company plans to use its data centers to get these games out to mobiles. There is also Google, which wants to get people playing games within their Google Chrome browsers.

These projects are all ambitious, but, they do seem to represent the future of gaming. It may be a while until we see them all made available to the public, but many will be watching closely.

PlayStation Awards 2018 for Asia and Japan to Be Livestreamed, Hosts and Time Detailed

While we have The Game Awards coming this December that will touch on everything good in gaming for the year, Sony has its own awards show brewing, and it’ll be livestreamed as well.

Called the PlayStation Awards, it’ll mostly focus on Asia and Japan titles and categories, but it’s still well worth a watch for video game fans. In a press release, Sony announced that the PlayStation Awards 2018 will be livestreamed, and even gave us a few other pertinent details.

According to Sony, the even is set for Monday, December 3, at 4 p.m. Hong Kong Time (or Monday, 3 a.m. EDT). It’ll be broadcast live on YouTube in the video embedded below. Acting as hosts and moderating the event will be Jon Kabira and Hatsune Matsushima.

While there’s a chance of game announcements at the show, don’t expect a lot of big reveals, as it’ll mostly be focused on the year’s best titles for the Asian market.

We’ll have a livestream reminder up, as well as the list of winners once it’s available.

Fox Trademarks “Alien: Blackout,” Announcement Seems to Be Set at The Game Awards 2018

Are you a fan of the Alien movie franchise? If so, then there’s a very good chance that we’ll hear a new game based on the IP very soon! 20th Century Fox, owner of the Alien property, has trademarked “Alien: Blackout” for use with “computer game discs; software, namely game software.”

If that wasn’t enough, it seems the actual reveal will be happening early next month too! The teaser image for The Game Awards for this year mentions “Worlds Will Change,” and it has a big W in the upper left corner, which looks similar to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Alien fans will, of course, know that the Weyland-Yutani Corporation is the company that commissioned the brave souls to look for alternate life on other planets, and so on.

What’s more, Hideo Kojima, who’s a close friend of The Game Awards showrunner Geoff Keighley seems to have some sort of connection too! Check out Kojima showing his visit of 20th Century Fox, and how people connected the W to the Alien franchise.

Want more conclusive proof? The Twitter accounts @AlienBlackout and @Alien_Blackout have bee created now as well. Could this be the new shooter based on the franchise that we reported in January of this year? One can hope that it fares better than Aliens: Colonial Marines.

The wait won’t be long now, as The Game Award airs this December 6, and will be streamed online as it happens. Once we know more about this, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

Overkill The Walking Dead Game Didn’t Earn Enough, Starbreeze Now “Reviewing” & Reducing Costs

In case you didn’t know, a game based on the hit TV show The Walking Dead was released earlier this month, and was made by the studio that made Payday called Overkill Software. If you didn’t know, well, I don’t blame you. Announced way back in 2014, the Overkill-developed The Walking Dead game has been smashed hard by critics since release.

It seems, it’s a bigger bust than we thought, as the game’s publisher, Starbreeze Publishing, has now released a new report stating that the game under-performed, and that the publisher is now reducing costs due to the high financial risk it took for the game.

Here’s what Starbreeze CFO Sebastian Ahkskog had to say:

“We will not be able to recognize the license fee from 505 Games for Overkill’s The Walking Dead as revenue until after the end of the fourth quarter, while initial sales revenues from the game are lower than expected. This will have negative impact on fourth-quarter earnings, but our target of positive EBITDA for Q4 stands.”

Initial sales revenues for The Walking Dead game are lower than forecasted, with Starbreeze stating that it’s because “the share of sales in low-price countries, such as China and Russia, is significantly higher than expected. ”

Starbreeze Chairman Michael Hjorth does mention that the game has a “pulse of concurrent players” which is important to the game’s future.

“This is disappointing, of course, but we have a base to work with in regards to the number of games sold. We have a pulse of concurrent players, which is essential to future performance within the framework of our Games as a Service concept. The team is working at full capacity to deliver improvements to the game and new content, and Season 2 will be starting soon.”

With this unfortunate news, Starbreeze is now commencing a project to “review operations” and has started a program “reduce costs and sharpen focus on core business,” which are internal and external development. These steps are expected to generate significant cost savings during the full year 2019 compared to 2018.

Are you surprised at all by this news? Should Starbreeze just cancelled the game after being MIA for a few years before being abruptly released this month?

Parent Gets Kid’s Fortnite Account Permanently Banned, Shows How Convoluted Account Management Is (Update)

Update:

It seems the entire mess has been sorted out! According to the father, who reached out to MP1st, he got an email from Epic saying that they’ve re-enabled the account, though the email change still isn’t happening. You win some, you lose some, I guess.

Original Story:

It’s a safe assumption that kids these days like to play video games, and one of the younger generation’s fave titles is Epic Games’ Fortnite. If you have children and they’re a fan of Fortnite, you might want to read what happened to one parent who accidentally got his son’s account permanently banned.

ResetEra user BadHand shared his tale regarding Fortnite, verifying email addresses registered under the Epic Games account of his son, and things didn’t go exactly according to plan.

I tried to update something but was being prompted to first “verify” the email address on the Epic account. I waited and waited but wasn’t receiving the email needed to verify. I then noticed that the email address used to register my son’s Fortnite account had a small typo in it… whoops, my mistake.

I tried to change the email address, but you cannot do this until it is first “verified”. I then tried to un-link his PSN account associated with the account (to link it to one with the correct credentials), but you cannot do this until it is verified either. It’s not possible to verify an email that’s wrong, obviously. I tried to then register the typo’d email address on gmail – but it’s already taken. It’s also impossible to link a PSN account to more than one Epic account.

The only thing left to do was to reach out to Epic’s support. I submitted a ticket and asked for them to modify the email address with the typo for me and submitted tons of verification that I was the account holder (IP addresses, billing information, account creation dates etc) and immediately got an email back — “changing the registered email address is not supported at this time”.

What?

I replied to the email and requested that the PSN account associated with this Epic account be “un-linked”, so I could link it to the right email address, and have the account with the wrong email closed. I didn’t think this would be a problem as it’s something that you can do easily on their website (when verified).

I never got an email back, but I tried to log in again with the same Epic account and I got an error that the account was now “Inactive”. When I tried to manually “link” the PSN account to the correct email address, it says the “PSN account is associated to another Epic account”… well, the Epic account it is associated to is now closed and this is apparently irreversible. Firing up Fortnite on the PS4 gives a message that the account is inactive and log-in has failed.

I sent of a third email explaining and was told that it was “impossible to change due to security concerns”.

So here I am – tried to update my son’s Fortnite account to have the correct information and he has been essentially been permanently banned because of it. Only option now would be to abandon his PSN account and create a new one, losing all progress and stuff and he’s pretty devastated 🙁

For a game aimed at younger people, the account management and technical support is confusing and limited.

While some might say this is a user error that shouldn’t be pinned on Epic Games, there should be another way to get your registered updated and verified. I mean, surely this isn’t the first email address wrongly written for the game, no?

We’ve reached out to Epic Games to see what sort of assistance they can offer the user, or if there’s some misunderstanding which can be resolved here.

Take-Two Finally Abandons “Agent” Trademark

Remember “Agent?” It was supposed to be a game developed by Rockstar Games exclusively for the PS3, and was announced way back at E3 2009. Well, fast forward close to a decade, and the infamous vaporware might finally be confirmed as just that.

It seems Take-Two, parent company of Rockstar Games, has finally abandoned the Agent trademark at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). You can check the filing here, but it mentions that “no statement of use or Extension Request timley filed after Notice of Allowance was issued,” which, in layman terms, means that Take-Two didn’t give a flying fart about the trademark.

Yep, it seems those rumors of the game seeing a 2019 release are complete bunk — not that anyone would believe it anyway.

If you’re one of the few people who was still holding out hope for a Rockstar Games-exclusive for PlayStation platforms, that ship has sailed apparently. But don’t fret, there’s a little game called Red Dead Redemption 2 that might be able to sooth your pains.

Will we see Agent again? Probably not. If ever, Rockstar can just create a new game from scratch and use a new title for it, since I doubt the publisher wants any of the drama and baggage the Agent brand will bring along with it, no?

Battlefield V Best Console Settings – Controls, Aiming Acceleration & More Listed

With Battlefield V, DICE went into overdrive mode when came to how customizable the controls and game settings are in the console versions. Not only can the FOV (field of view) slider be changed, but even aiming stick acceleration, and more can be tweaked as well.

If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed but still want the best Battlefield V console settings, you’ve come to the right place! Thanks to YouTuber The Tactical Brit, we can now tweak Battlefield V’s console settings for an optimum in-game performance! Note that Tactical was playing on the PS4 and is basing these values using a default DualShck 4. For Xbox One gamers, it’s 1:1 the same for that version. If you didn’t see a specific game setting value mentioned below, that means Tactical left it as is (default setting/value). Check out the video below to hear his explanation on why the settings are at a specific value, but if you want the condensed version, check out the list below.

  • Soldier Aim Sensitivity = 54%
  • Vehicle Aim Sensitivity = keep it around 40%+
  • Controls, Vehicle Driver Buttons = Veteran”
  • Soldier Buttons, changed aiming from L2 and R2 to L1 and R1 (due to springs in L2 and R2, there’s a retention/delay and not an instant movement)

Advanced Settings:

  • Stick Aiming Acceleration (default is 100, drop to 20)
  • Uniform Soldier Aiming toggle to “on”

Gameplay Settings:

  • Inventory is sometimes turned off (when you’re familiar with your loadout, it helps add real estate to your screen area)
  • Crosshair Color is changed to bright pink (since nothing in Battlefield V is colored bright pink which makes it easier to stand out)
  • Overlay Shadow Strength turn up to 50 percent
  • Headshot color changed to bright green
  • Objective Icon Opacity change to 20%
  • Gadget Icon Opacity turn to 10%
  • Soldier Auto Leaning turned off
  • Reload Hint turned off
  • Hint System turned off

Video Settings:

  • Brightness set at 65% (though it’s monitor dependent)
  • Field of View set to 75
  • Vehicle Field of View set to 70
  • ADS Field of View turned off
  • Motion Blur at 30 to 50 percent
  • Chromatic Abberation turned off
  • Film Grain turned off
  • Vignette turned off
  • Lens Distortion turned off

Go give these changes a try and let us know how it’s working out for you in the comments below.

In other Battlefield V news, DICE has announced that we’ll see a Tides of War chapter 1 teaser next week! In addition to that, the game’s time-to-kill (TTK) and time-to-death (TTD) are being tweaked.

Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 1 Teaser, Server Update & More Coming Next Week

As part of DICE’s continued communications with the Battlefield V player base, the studio has outlined some of the key info and announcements coming next week, and this includes our first look at Tides of War’s first chapter called Overture!

Announced by Global Community Manager Dan Mitre, check out the complete list of upcoming Battlefield V info, along with a super brief Q&A.

Sneak Peak into Communications Roadmap for Week of November 26th

  • Coming Next Week
    • Call to Action
    • Only in Battlefield Moments – Here’s you chance to share your best OIB moments with us for possible sharing on the Battlefield channels. Bring your best!
  • Update
    • Battlefield V Server Update – Some tweaks and improvements on the server side that should resolve some outstanding issues. This will not require a client update.
  • Blogs
    • Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture Teases – We’re starting to hype up the upcoming release of Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture. Stay tuned as we roll out news and information.
    • Battlefield V Airlift Drops – A blog detailing the various Airlifts you get with Deluxe Edition.

Community Feedback Cycle on This Week’s Communications

  • Launch – Battlefield V Worldwide Launch for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4
    • Updates
      • How come we didn’t get an update upon Standard Edition launch to fix some of the more prominent issues we’re experiencing?
      • Jaqub Ajmal (Producer): We’ve been working on a new update coming right out of the Battlefield V 11-14-2018 update released the day before Deluxe Edition launch. There’s always a need to measure the risk of adding more to an update that is being worked on. For example, we could already be in the test verification phase of an upcoming update when a new issue is found by the players and adding more fixes to it might invalidate previous testing which essentially means starting that process again from the beginning, leading to an update that would most likely have to be delayed. So, we’ve lined up a new update to drop on December 4th with the Tides of War: Chapter 1 Overture release.
    • Melee
      • Why can’t we cut down fences with our melee weapon anymore?
      • Dan Mitre (Global Community Manager): We’ve placed more of an importance on the ability to build (and destroy) objects that have a strategic value on the Battlefield: fortifications. Therefore, our system focuses on the ability to build these up quickly (Support gets a build perk) and destroying them with ample power (tank shell, grenade, AT rocket, etc.).
    • Tokens
      • Will we get the ability to earn more tokens in the future to unlock other customization items?
      • Ryan McArthur (Producer): There’s nothing planned at the moment.
    • Audio
      • Will you be addressing the low volume of enemy footstep audio?
      • John Wasilczyk (Executive Producer): This is something we are investigating. We’ll let you know more once we have more information to share.
    • Issues
      • Will players get retroactively awarded Company Coin for the coin they missed by being max Rank?
      • JW: Ensuring our players feel rewarded, even at max rank, is important. We are also looking further into this and will share information once we’re ready.

Once we know more info about Overture, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. In the meantime, go read up on why Breakthrough might be the best PTFO mode in the game, and why it might be the new Rush. DICE has also confirmed that the time-to-kill and time-to-death of Battlefield V will be tweaked.

Beenox, the main studio handling the PC port of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, has just rolled out a new Black Ops 4 PC update! While some of the fixes are the same as the ones in the game settings update hotfix released a few days ago, there are still some PC-exclusive stuff in it.

Battlefield V Time to Kill and Time to Death Changes Incoming Says DICE, Community Conflicted

If you’ve been playing Battlefield V, then you might have noticed that soldiers drop much faster than before compared to past Battlefield games. While this time-to-kill (TTK) change is welcomed by some, there are those who think that it’s a bit too fast.

Over on Twitter, DICE Core Gameplay Designer Florian Le Bihan confirmed that TTK and time-to-death (TTD) will both be tweaked by DICE.

For those not familiar with the terms, here’s Le Bihan’s explanation of it:

While DICE has confirmed that changes are indeed coming, the community is split on the topic! Over on Reddit, you’ll see threads like the ones below pop up:

We get it guys lol
byu/kile25 inBattlefieldV

Of course, if there was no issue at all from the get-go, DICE wouldn’t even be looking into it at all, right? Is this a case of the vocal community not wanting to change something that the masses want?

Do you think the TTK and the TTD of Battlefield V should be changed? If so, to what extent? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Someone Created a Parody Fallout 76 Accolades Trailer and You Need to Watch It

Most big budget games these days release an “accolades” trailer if it’s successful critically. While there’s a very slim chance that we’ll see a trailer like that for Fallout 76 (given it’s sitting at just a 50 review average on Metacritic), someone did just that for the game — thought it might not be what Bethesda was expecting or hoping to see.

YouTuber Ghost Machine created a parody Fallout 76 accolades trailer, and instead of showcasing lines of text exclaiming how fantastic the game is, it’s done the opposite! Using the official live-action Fallout 76 trailer that has the Beach Boys song “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” as the backdrop, the most brutal lines from reviews are splattered across the entire video. Stuff like “Eerily Soulless” from The Guardian are mentioned, along with Eurogamer’s “Bizzare, boring, broken mess,” text and lots more.

If that wasn’t a kick in the groin enough for Bethesda, the trailer ends with the game’s mediocre review average on both Metacritic (currently at 49), and Open Critic (54).

Let’s hope Bethesda can roll out more patches to iron out the bugs soon, and make Fallout 76 the game it should have been from the start. Of course, we’re hoping it’s not a gargantuan patch like the first one.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Datamine Reveals Night Version of Firing Range Map, Seaside “Sunset,” Watch the Gameplay

Just the other day, Treyarch rolled out a major (read: big) patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. While the title update included a bunch of bug fixes, and weapon tweaks, it seems Treyarch also decided to sneak in some of the upcoming Black Ops 4 new maps that players will be able to play on soon.

OK, calling them “new” maps is a bit of a stretch given how they’re just night versions of the map that’s already available, but it’s still something, and there’s proof too! Leaked by YouTuber Neros Cinema, are a night version of the Firing Range map, and a “Sunset” version of Seaside where it’s raining! These were obtained via datamining the latest patch, and what’s more, there’s even live gameplay too!

Note that we don’t exactly know how Treyarch and Activision will roll out these maps; whether they’re free content set to be given out at some point (which is likely given they’re essentially the same maps but with a different lighting effect and all), or if it’ll be part of the Black Ops 4 Pass. If I had to hazard a guess? I’d say the former is the most likely scenario given that Treyarch will most likely release these maps as part of a community event, and this has been done before in past Call of Duty games too.

Don’t forget that quad feed is now turned on for Black Ops 4, so you should jump in and give it a whirl. Nuketown is also available on every platform, and yes, it’s free for everyone.

Battlefield V: One of the Melee Kill Animations Is a Headbutt to the Enemy, Watch It Now

One of the new features introduced by DICE in the Battlefield franchise is the introduction of one-hit, melee kill animations that started in Battlefield 3, and has been present in every Battlefield game since then. While it’s still in Battlefield V, it seems there’s a new, different kind of melee kill animation in the game, and that’s a headbutt!

Check out this quick gif posted by Reddit user no_thats_bad of an enemy getting headbutted to death!

via Gfycat

Given how the victim’s perspective shifts involuntarily when they’re melee killed, it must be a sight to behold to be on the receiving end of this kind of pain, no?

Have you seen this headbutt of death melee animation in the game? Or have you been a victim of it?

In other Battlefield V news, the Panzerfaust is getting nerfed according to DICE! We also ran a feature where we talk about the game’s new modes as the replacement of Rush.
