Ubisoft has pushed back the release date of Far Cry 3 from September to November 29th in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and December 4th in North America.

The delay is intended to give the developers “more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” explained Ubisoft’s Dan Hay. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”

Black Ops Creators Treyarch Have No Clue Who’s Making PS Vita’s Declassfied

Treyarch is being kept in the dark about who’s developing the first Call of Duty game for Sony’s PS Vita, Black Ops: Declassified. Treyarch’s Director of Communications John Rafacz also touched on the rumored Wii U version of Black Ops II.

“I don’t know,” Rafacz admitted to Video Gamer when asked if Neversoft, the latest studio to join the Call of Duty franchise, is working on Black Ops: Declassified. “With regards to the Vita, all I can tell you is that it’s quite literally declassified [classified].”

Since the title and logo announcement at E3 earlier this month, only a small blurb made its way on to the web, confirming multiplayer and a campaign of Special Ops missions.

John Rafacz refused to comment on whether Black Ops II will launch on the Wii U. He said, “Right now we’ve announced that the game is coming for 360, PS3 and PC. Announcements regarding any other SKUs just haven’t been made.”

However, Rafacz shared his excitement for what the Wii U could offer the Call of Duty series. “Any technology that can enhance the Call of Duty experience is worth considering,” he explained.

“There’s that core Call of Duty experience and that is what fans expects, so anything that helps advance that is worth considering.” Nintendo recently expressed their plans to make the Wii U the “prefered console” for the Call of Duty crowd.

In Other MP News – Nintendo To Lure CoD Audience to Wii U, EA Says F2P Is The Future, Halo 4 Vid & More

Hey everyone, it is in a great honor to introduce a new MP1st segment “In Other MP News” that we will be experimenting with which we hope to turn into a weekly feature. We can’t possibly cover every single piece of news out there so I, and the rest of the staff have decided that it would be a good idea to introduce a weekly news round up segment. Every week we will be posting a news round up that will cover a variety of games that we do and do not normally cover on MP1st.  This will be our very first segment. Hope you all enjoy the read!

Nintendo Wants Wii U To Be The Preferred Console For Call Of Duty.

Seems that Nintendo is aiming high with their next gen console. In a recent interview that Gamespot did with Nintendo marketing exec Scott Moffitt, it was revealed that Nintendo plans on drawing core players to the Wii U.

“The experience of playing these titles on the Xbox 360 and PS3 are relatively similar; what we showed is how you can reimagine game elements like maps and scanning features and bring them to life on the GamePad and make it a completely different experience to what it was on competing systems… The Wii U could become the preferred way to play those games for some of the core gamers.”

Namco Bandai is Co-Developing Super Smash Brothers.

This is quite the shocking announcement that was made a few nights ago during another Nintendo Direct event. It has been revealed that the next Super Smash Brother titles will be developed for both the Wii U and the 3DS and that Namco Bandai will be co-developing the title. What’s been revealed so far is that developers from the Tales series will be working on the title with Nintendo. This will most likely mean that we will be seeing third party characters from Namco Bandai in the next SSB title. SSB is known for being one of the best brawler titles out there and, yes, expect there to be online multiplayer.

EA’s Peter Moore Thinks Free-To-Play is the Future.

EA Peter Moore believes that the future of gaming is going to be Free-to-Play. He explained to Kotaku  in a recent interview:

“I think, ultimately, those microtransactions will be in every game, but the game itself or the access to the game will be free. Ultimately, my goal is… as this industry progresses, hundreds of millions are playing the games. Zero bought it. Hundreds of millions are playing. We’re getting 5 cents, 6 cents ARPU [average revenue per user] a day out of these people. The great majority will never pay us a penny which is perfectly fine with us, but they add to the eco-system and the people who do pay money—the whales as they are affectionately referred to—to use a Las Vegas term, love it because to be number one of a game that like 55 million people playing is a big deal.”

He continued by comparing this business model to a real life retailer.

“I think there’s an inevitability that happens five years from now, 10 years from now, that, let’s call it the client, to use the term, [is free.] It is no different than… it’s free to me to walk into The Gap in my local shopping mall. They don’t charge me to walk in there. I can walk into The Gap, enjoy the music, look at the jeans and what have you, but if I want to buy something I have to pay for it.”

TimeSplitter 4 Future May Not Be Dead, Free To play Possibly An Option?

Fans of the TimeSplitter franchise may be happy to hear that TimeSplitter 4 may not be dead. Originally announced in  June of 2007, the developers Free Radical became a apart of Cytek. This forced TimeSplitter 4 to be put on hold or possibly be cancelled. However, in a recent interview that Videogamer did with Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli, it was revealed that the title may not be dead after all.

“Let me say it this way: I love the picture of a TimeSplitters running on Gface,” Cevat told Videogamer. For those who are unfamiliar with Gface, this is a new service by Crytek that will be entirely free-to-play. The team believes that going forward with this business model is the future for gaming revenue as it will bring AAA titles for absolutely no cost.

Though not actually confirming that the title is still alive, it seems that it still may be possible after Crysis 3 launches next year.

Gran Turismo 5 New DLC Leaked

Some new racing tracks are coming to the highly popular racing sim, Gran Turismo 5. In a recent leak, (page now removed of content) it was revealed that GT5 would be receiving one new track that features four different configurations. The track is called Twin Ring Motegi and the four configurations are: the Road Course, Super Speedway, East Course, and West Course. The marking price for this DLC is €5.00. No other region prices have been revealed.  In addition to the new track, a new vehicle, the Scion FR-S, will also be available to download at no cost. Those who continue to play GT5 will be pleased to take these tracks online once they release later on in the future.

Resident Evil 6 Single Player gameplay. Good Insight How The Multiplayer Gameplay Will Be.

During the week, Capcom released two brand new Resident Evil 6 campaign videos. Fans of the series may feel much happier as the gameplay seems to have returned to the classic survival Resident Evil that we have all come to love. The reason why I’m covering this is because this will give you a good insight as to how the multiplayer will play out. One new thing you’ll notice is that the tank controls have been removed and replaced with modern day third person controls. This means that you’ll be able to shoot and move at the same time, something that wasn’t present in past Resident Evil titles on home consoles.

Leaked Modern Warfare 3 ‘Terminal’ Gameplay

Update: (June 28th) The video below has been slapped with a copyright claim by Activision, “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Activision Games Inc.” Thanks to NextGenTactics‘ SpiderBite for bringing this to our attention.

Original Story: Gameplay footage of the Modern Warfare 2 map ‘Terminal’ has been leaked.

However, you may notice that this is, in fact, not gameplay from Modern Warfare 2. Instead, users have found a way to tweak the Modern Warfare 3 game files from the latest patch in order to make the map playable within Modern Warfare 3.

This footage below clearly demonstrates Modern Warfare 3 gameplay on the map ‘Terminal’, originally from Modern Warfare 2.

[youtube id=”vIV1KpPZ-Xo” width=”600″ height=”350″]

(Thanks, Mitch!)

This comes shortly after the words that Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin had to say regarding the remake of Terminal in Modern Warfare 3. You can read his statements in full right here.

In short, Rubin revealed that the team behind the game were, indeed, working on a way to bring the classic map to the MW3 audience. No further details have been given, however, other than it will be free and that we can expect it “probably soon” if the team can work around the technical issues they’ve been experiencing.

So, are you excited to see MW2’s Terminal back in action? Do you think it would make a great addition to the MW3 maps list?

First Battlefield 3 Premium Event Now Live – Double XP

Members of Battlefield 3’s new Premium service should now be seeing that Double XP multiplier at the end of each match.

As promised only a few days ago, all premium members across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, from now until early morning of the 25th, should be having all their experience points multiplied by two at the end of each match across all game modes and all maps in Battlefield 3.

This is the first of many Premium events as indicated by the Premium Calendar. It isn’t clear, however, if following events will be XP related, or something completely different.

Last weekend, DICE and EA offered Double XP to all players, Premium or not, in celebration of the release of the Close Quarters expansion pack.

As a reminder, non-Premium PC and Xbox 360 players will have the chance to download the Close Quarters expansion pack in only a few short days, June 26th.

Dust 514 and Eve Online – Dev Details Ways Players Can Interact Between The Two Universes

One of the most appealing features of Dust 514 is that it takes place in the Eve Online universe. When Dust 514 was first announced, it was said that both games would work with each other. At the time, no one really understood what exactly that meant, but Eurogamer managed to contact CCP developer Jon Lander for a more descriptive explanation.

One interesting thing that Lander mentioned was how Eve players could work as aerial support for Dust 514 players and Dust players as ground support. He explained it as “Air support for Dust mercenaries and factions on the ground.” It’s been said for a while now that Eve players may have the power to bombard planets that Dust players are on. Of course that will be faction based, meaning it would only harm opposing factions. They won’t be defenseless either as certain locations on the planet will be able to fire back. “We’re going to put it so that if you take control of certain installations on planets, they can fire back up, so you start getting this joint, real-time gameplay between the two,” Lander said.

Another way both games will interact is the way resources are transferred. A Surface Control Centre is the reward you get for taking over a planet. If an Eve player (one your allied with) has an Orbital Control Centre, then a Space Elevator is possible. Lander explains “If you and somebody in Eve are allied – so, in Eve you’ve got control of the Orbital Control Centre – then you get a space elevator, which makes the transport of goods and services that much easier and cheaper.” Chat channels, global market, and maps/universes will all be shared between the two titles.

The team plans on adding further interaction as well. In fact, they have a four-and-a-half-year roadmap plan once Dust 514 joins up with the Tranquillity Server (Eve Servers). Landers explained that after this has been done, then it will be the real thing.

“Dust is joining a nine-year-old game. And it’s not just a nine-year-old game, it’s a nine-year-old world, where there’s a lot of stories, a lot of effort, a lot of time that’s going into it from the players. And we haven’t wiped the servers, we haven’t done a reset, so Dust will start contributing its own stories into that world.”

This sounds like an amazing idea and I hope it turns out well. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Medal of Honor: Warfigher to Feature Peek/Lean in Multiplayer, More on Classes, Loadouts, Support Actions and PC System Specs

Slowly, we learn more and more about the competitive multiplayer portion of Danger Close’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter as we inch closer towards its October 23rd release date.

Fresh from Twitter, Creative Director on Medal of Honor Kristoffer Bergqvist reveals that the peek and lean mechanic featured in older Medal of Honor games will be appearing in the multiplayer of Warfighter. “Yes. Warfighter MP will absolutely have Peek/Lean,” he stated to one curious fan. This is on top of both the slide and prone mechanics we spotted in the latest multiplayer gameplay trailer.

(Thanks, Robin.)

Recently, X360A got their hands on some Warfighter multiplayer action and gave us a better look at the class system, including loadouts, abilities and support bonuses or Score Chain Rewards.

Here, they list the six classes they got to work with during the demo as well as their weapon of choice, ability and support bonus. Of course, this is an incomplete list compared to what will be available in the full retail release, but it can still give us a taste of what’s to come:

Australian SRS Pointman

  • Primary: Steyr AUG assault rifle
  • Ability: Heavy Hitter magazine that increased damage by 20% when equipped
  • Support: Call in an air burst mortar strike

US Navy Seal Sniper

  • Primary: McMillan high-powered sniper rifle
  • Ability: ?
  • Support: Launch a Switchblade UAV

Canadian JTF2 Heavy Gunner

  • Primary: M249 LMG
  • Ability: Supportive prone stance offering powerful covering fire with increased accuracy
  • Call in a black ops transport chopper, giving the team instant respawns in any tactical area

USOG Spec Ops

  • Primary: MP7 sub-machine gun
  • Ability: Heat vision
  • Support: Access an A10 strafe air support

SFODD Demolitions

  • Primary: Equipped with a shotgun
  • Ability: Equip extra armour, AKA tank mode, at the cost of mobility
  • Support: Milkor M32 Grenade Launcher

Polish Grom Assaulter

  • Primary: HK416 assault rifle
  • Ability: M320 grenade launcher.
  • Support: Can call in AH6 Little Bird air support

Generally, it seems that classes are made up of a primary starting weapon, a special ability and either an offensive or defensive support action. Abilities will have a cooldown timer, meaning they can be used at any time on the battlefield, but there will be long pauses between use. Support actions, however, must be earned through points by either killing opponents, completing objectives or aiding teammates.

As mentioned earlier, players can take advantage of the buddy system by spawning on your pal upon death after a short timer, or immediately if you happen to be avenged. It takes the same idea as Battlefield 3’s squad system, but adds a small twist by keeping the teams smaller and allowing players to keep better track of each other on the battlefield.

(Thanks, Josh.)

Lastly, we’ve included the PC system requirements as listed on the official Medal of Honor: Warfighter website, as we have yet to do so.

Minimum PC Requirements

  • OS: Windows Vista SP1
  • CPU: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 2.7GHz Athlon X2
  • RAM: 2GB RAM
  • DVD: DVD-ROM drive required for DVD installation only
  • Hard Drive: At least 20GB of free space
  • Video: NVidia 8800 GTS 512MB VRAM or better / ATI Radeon 3870 512MB VRAM
  • DirectX: DirectX 10.1
  • Network: 1Mbps DSL or faster Internet connection

OSRecommended PC System

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1
  • CPU: 3GHz Intel Core 2 Quad / 3 GHz AMD Phenom II X4
  • RAM: 4GB RAM
  • DVD: DVD-ROM drive required for DVD installation only
  • Hard Drive: At least 20GB of free space
  • Video: NVidia GTX 560 1024 MB VRAM or better / ATI Radeon 6950 1024MB VRAM
  • DirectX: DirectX 11
  • Network: 1Mbps DSL or faster Internet connection

Gathering what we’ve seen from Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s class system so far, what do you make of it? Are you excited to be able to peek and lean our of cover? Let us know in the comments below!

Crytek: Homefront 2 Development Not Affected by THQ Woes

THQ’s recent financial troubles and restructuring didn’t interrupt Crytek’s work on Homefront 2, says Crytek CEO Cevat Yerl.

Yerl explained that THQ’s problems have had “pretty much zero” affect on the studio’s development of Homefront 2. “There’s been no tangible change whatsoever. There have been a few meetings and the introduction of people and those meetings are always very transparent,” Yerl told CVG. Last year, THQ handed Homefront’s sequel to Crytek in order to advance the series.

Yerl continued, “To be fair, the way we’re developing Homefront 2 is very isolated anyway. We’re treating it as our own new IP and at the same time THQ is respecting us and saying, ‘you guys know what you’re doing’ and telling us the story they’d like to have, which we’re collaborating creatively on.”

The title was praised recently by former THQ VP claiming it looked “phenomenal”.  Homefront 2 is scheduled to release in THQ’s FY 2014.

Black Ops II Matchmaking Improvements Will Create A Better Experience for Vets and Newcomers

Studio Head at Treyarch details some of the improvements the team is making when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s multiplayer matchmaking system.

“On the multiplayer front, I think one of the things we’re paying attention to is that there’s a lot of very experienced COD multiplayer gamers who are very good at Prestige-ing,” Lamia told Official PSM UK in a recent interview. He continued, “they want to play and compete with people, and to find and play with their friends more easily. We’re listening to that.” This is one of the points of feedback the team has been taking into consideration when it comes to matchmaking options in Black Ops II’s multiplayer.

“We also hear from people who aren’t as adept or as skilled in multiplayer that they’d like to be able to compete or have a way to play where it’s maybe not as difficult to compete at times – so if they have a chance to build up their skill sets then they’ll compete – so we’re actually working to satisfy a broader range of both.” It sounds like Treyarch will be focusing on giving those players of similar skill levels improved ways to play together – allowing vets to keep the competition up with each other, while giving newcomers a chance to improve their skills in a more suitable environment.

After all, Lamia mentions, “we also think the second most fun way to play COD, besides winning, is almost winning. We want to make more of those experiences, too, because those really close matches can be very satisfying as well.” On top of that, Treyarch also believes “that COD is incredibly fun to play with your friends or with somebody else online. And we think we can help people find and make that connection in the game through our matchmaking system – we want to help people do that.”

Interestingly, Lamia also commented on the possibility of bringing the newly introduced game mode Strike Force into the world of co-op, teasing, “you never know where these modes that we introduce go. At one point in time Zombies was just another mode, so you never know.”

These new matchmaking features, while we still lack details, sound promising to both experienced players and newcomers alike. Would you like to see Strike Force made into a co-op mode at one point?

Modern Warfare 3 Double XP Weekend Incoming

Update: According to Tina PalaciosDouble XP should go live at midnight (pacific) for all platforms.

Infinity Ward is celebrating the release of Modern Warfare 3’s newest DLC bundle, Collection 2, which is now available on both PC and PS3, with another double XP weekend.

The double XP event will start this weekend, and should go live tomorrow as it’s been the case with previous events. Infinity Ward’s community coordinator Candice Capen stated, “we’ll be having another double XP weekend to celebrate collection 2 release on PS3.” However, she’s not sure when the next double weapon XP event will take place.

I reached out to executive producer Mark Rubin on Twitter to confirm whether this event is only for PS3 and PC, or it is intended for all three platforms. Rubin revealed that all PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 players will earn double XP this weekend.

Thanks to Moriarty1975 for the tip!

Upcoming Multiplayer Games To Look Out For

Multiplayer seems to be the latest craze in gaming. Games like Call of Duty or Battlefield depend on the very survival of it, and while those are currently the biggest multiplayer games out on the market (at least on console), I have decided to make a list of other multiplayer games that I think everyone should keep an eye on. These are titles that I am personally interested in so don’t be surprise if it’s missing a few big hitters.

Aliens Colonial Marines (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U)

Fans of the alien series will appreciate this title the most. The multiplayer pits two teams against each other, one human and the other Aliens. Working as a team is a must, as separating from your allies would ensure death. Aliens move quickly and stealthily, and comparing them to the humans, one can say it’s completely unbalanced if your going one on one with these formidable foes. Even after death, they can cause harm as their lethal acid blood will splash against you, causing some dangerous damage. Gearbox Software is set to bring the survival feeling that is found in the Alien movie franchise over to gaming consoles. This is probably my most anticipated game of next year.

Aliens Colonial is set to release early 2013.

Dust 514 (PS3)

Published by Sony Online Entertainment and developed by CCP Games, Dust 514 is a free-to-play first-person MMO shooter. Taking place in the universe of Eve Online, Dust 514 will pit you against other players where the main objective is the win the war. We have been covering the title for some time now, so make sure to read up on all the latest news here.

[youtube id=”tASM8P6c16c” width=”600″ height=”350″]

Dust 514 is set to release later this year, exclusively on the Playstation 3.

Planetside 2 (PC)

Yet another SOE title, Planetside 2 is also a free-to-play first person shooter MMO. Set on the continent of Auraxis, thousands of players will battle it out for control over crucial territories. Battles can go on for days, weeks, and even months as more and more players will continue to drop in. Use both ground and air to your advantage and build your squad up to ensure that the battle will fall into your hands. Planetside 2 will be running it’s beta real soon.

No release date has been set.

GTA V (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Grand Theft Auto has always been about story and the sheer enjoyment of being able to do whatever you want in an open world. While GTA IV did seem to tone down the level of fun from past GTA title’s, the multiplayer has always been a somewhat solid piece of work. From what’s been shown with GTA V so far, the game appears to play out more like GTA: San Andreas. This, for many, is crucial as San Andreas was one of the – if not ‘the’ best GTA title available so far. If Rockstar games can replicate GTA:SA and bring it’s fun factor to the multiplayer, then I have no doubt it will be a worth while game to play online. Let’s not forget that those who purchased Max Payne 3 will be able to import their crew members into GTA V.

No release date has been announced.

God of War: Ascension (PS3)

Ascension is the very first God of War title to feature a competitive multiplayer. This will either be a hit or a miss, but hopefully it’s a hit. From what’s been shown so far, the game looks excellent. So far, the only online mode that has been revealed is domination, which will have you fight for control over an arena, and at the end of the match, you’ll perform a gruesome team kill on the giant cyclops that is imprisoned on the map.

God of War: Ascension is set to release early 2013.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale (PS3)

It’s pretty obvious that Sony is copying Nintendo’s extremely popular brawler title, Super Smash Bros. However, for a Playstation fan like me, this is a dream come true. Wanted ever since the PS2 era, Playstation All-Star will pit popular Playstation icons such as Nathan Drake, Sly Cooper and Kratos along with some third party characters against each other in an all out brawl. Expect us to be covering this title a lot more in the future as more and more characters will be revealed in the coming weeks.

[youtube id=”u5BLgycbUog” width=”600″ height=”350″]

PAS:BR is slated for a 2012 holiday release.

Arma III (PC)

Developed by Bohemia Interactive Studios, Arma III is an open world tactical shooter taking place in the near future. Not much is known currently about the multiplayer, but if it’s anything like Arma II, then you’ll be enjoying countless hours of fun roaming the world of Arma. Complete missions with friends or take to the community and download popular mods like DayZ, which will hopefully be making it’s debut in Arma III as well.

Arma III is set to release in 2013.

Assassin’s Creed 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

This is yet another one of those titles that is mainly concerned about the single player. Originally introduced in Assassin’s Creed 2: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Multiplayer will continue to expand out into the third installment. Stay hidden in the shadows as you sneak your way into competitive multiplayer battles. Fight over for control in a game of domination or take to deathmatch as you stalk your target through a field of people.

[youtube id=”54FGxHwLy44″ width=”600″ height=”350″]

Assassin’s Creed 3 releases in October 2012.

Halo 4 (Xbox 360)

I don’t own a 360, sadly, but that doesn’t mean I have never played the Halo series. When it comes to the multiplayer of Halo 2 and 3, which I remember fondly, let me tell you, it was an absolute blast. The work put into these games at the time clearly showed that Bungie knew what they were doing. The next Halo title, Halo 4, is being developed by 343 Industries. Although it’s a new team, from what’s been shown off at this year’s E3, Halo 4 looks like a title that will be worth playing when it releases November 6th.

Counter-Strike: Global Offense (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Now, I am a huge Counter-strike fan. Weren’t for the fact that I didn’t own a gaming PC anymore, I would be spending all of my time playing Counter-Strike rather than BF3 or MW3 on console. Luckily, Global Offensive will be the very first Counter-Strike title to release on this generation of home consoles. This has me excited as the gameplay was extremely fun and fast paced in previous iterations. Every time I would play Counter-Strike on PC, my heart would pump with adrenaline. My only disappointment, however, is that there will no longer be support for PS3 and PC players to play together as originally planned. I know that many would say that PC gamers would crush console players, which may be true, but I for one would still love the option of having more players in-game.

Rainbow 6: Patriots (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

As of right now, we pretty much know nothing about this title so I’m just going to say what I liked about the past Rainbow Six games released this generation. Rainbow Six Vegas was the second PS3 title that I ever owned. The multiplayer was insanely addicting with it’s customization and gameplay. The game was a first-person shooter, yet had the cover system of a third-person shooter. It was well crafted and proved that a multplayer FPS could indeed work with a cover system. Vegas 2 released a few years later and despite ending up being a huge let down when compared to the first, it was still a great multiplayer title. I want Patriots to have the same gameplay mechanics that Vegas 1 and 2 had. I also want to see a huge amount of maps and game modes, including the highly popular terrorist hunt.

Release date has not been announced yet.

As mentioned above, these are my own personal choices. What upcoming multiplayer-focused titles are you guys excited for that isn’t Callof Duty, Battlefield, or Medal of Honor related?

Modern Warfare 3 PS3 Patch 1.16 and Collection 2 Now Live

Infinity Ward has released a new patch, supposedly patch 1.16, for the PS3’s version of Modern Warfare 3 along with the latest DLC offering, Collection 2.

Modern Warfare 3 players on PlayStation 3 are now able to purchase Collection 2 from the PSN store for $14.99. The pre-order deal, which net users a free theme, is now over. Collection 2, packs in the following maps and spec ops missions:

  • Multiplayer maps: Foundation, Sanctuary, and Oasis.
  • Spec Ops missions: Iron Clad and Kill Switch
  • Face Off maps: Getaway and Lookout

Also, a new mandatory title update, patch 1.16, have gone live for all users to download. The update will set you back 29 MB in memory, and seem to have caused problems for premium Elite users, which we are investigating further.

The patch notes haven’t been made public at the time of writing, however Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin did mention that yesterday a update included “some changes to matchmaking [yesterday] on PS3 that might improve things a little.” We’re not sure if he was referring to a hot fix or today’s patch. As always, if and when the official patch notes are released, we will report on them.

Update 1: Rubin had this to say on the ongoing problems, it “seems Sony hadn’t propped the patch everywhere and so people were playing on different versions. Working to resolve.”

You can read our Collection 2 review through here and Activision released the following PS3 launch trailer for Face Off, same one as the 360.
