For Overwatch 2 players looking to stand out, how much are you willing to spend on character skins and other cosmetics in the game? Blizzard hopes it’s a lot, as an Overwatch 2 survey has been sent out to players, and it seems the target price listed so far for weapon, character skins and the like are pretty steep.
In case you didn’t know, Blizzard is releasing Overwatch 2’s PvP (player vs. player) component free for everyone. With that in mind, the studio (along with parent company Activision) looks to recoup development costs by not only featuring a Battle Pass into the game, but by selling cosmetics as well. One of the new cosmetics being introduced in Overwatch 2 are “mythic” skins, which the studio gave players a sneak peek into what they’d look like when released.
In the survey sent out, it asks players if they are willing to spend $45 on mythic skins (!), and weapon charms at $10, and other cosmetic items at ridiculous prices. One “bundle” has three character sprays at $5, while another has an emote, highlight intro and a “souvenir” at $20.
I don’t know about you, but $25 for a legendary skin is crazy given it’s close to half the price of most AAA boxed games sold these days. Perhaps Blizzard (and Activision) is thinking of selling skins at this prices to attract the filthy rich bastards players? Or perhaps to elicit some huge FOMO (fear of missing out) vibes? Whatever the case is, I doubt a lot of players will be happy at these prices.

Behaviour Interactive collaborated with Resident Evil for Dead by Daylight last year featuring Leon and Jill as Survivors. Following the huge success of that collaboration, Behaviour Interactive announced another Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil collaboration is coming soon titled ‘Project W,’ for which information has been leaked online.
Famous Dead by Daylight leaker, @LeaksDbd (Twitter), has leaked media and assets that belong to the upcoming Resident Evil collaboration. According to the leaks, it looks like the Killer is going to be Albert Wesker, and the Survivors include Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers.
The leaker has also posted the voice lines for Albert Wesker’s audio in the upcoming collaboration on YouTube
Other leaks include Wesker’s Killer name, ‘The Mastermind.’ Mastermind’s abilities include vaulting faster, being able to see Survivors when they are carrying another player, and causing the Survivors to be permanently Broken when the Exit Gates are powered. The Survivor perks haven’t been finalised as of yet.

Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark Games, announced that their upcoming game, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been delayed to November. The announcement came via the game’s official Twitter account where Wahlund expressed the team’s disappointment but calls it a necessary decision:

For the third straight day, Raven Software has released another update to Call of Duty: Warzone! The COD Warzone update for July 29 is live, and this is another server-side update, which means players don’t need to download anything, and the changes will be applied once players connect to the servers.

Halo Infinite players are already attempting to rebuild the entire Silent Hill PT horror game using the new Halo Infinite Forge game mode. Interestingly, Forge has not yet been released to the public, not even in beta format.
Silent Hill PT was originally released as a “playable teaser” for the reboot of the Silent Hill game series. The game was entirely built within an L-shaped corridor which challenges players to walk in a circuit while solving puzzles and a murder mystery.
The game was led by non other than Hideo Kojima himself at Konami, but was then pulled from the PS4 store and canceled by the studio. Ever since then, fans have been attempting to recreate the game, until now.
The Halo forger, Death Templer, is rebuilding the Silent Hill PT map with all of its eerie details and ambient atmosphere. The forger is still in the process of building the game and will continue to do so until “it prompts a cease and desist from Konami.”
Halo Infinite Forge mode is not yet publicly available, not even to Halo Insiders. The mode is now in closed testing with some players gaining access to it from the campaign co-op PC beta build.
The mode is expected to be released in beta to the public sometime in September, however, an exact release date is yet to be announced.
Halo Infinite is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Game Pass.
NBA 2K23 Gameplay trailer has just been released by 2K giving basketball fans a first look at how this year’s iteration fares compared to the previous titles. The new trailer showcases the game’s stunning graphics and of course, NBA stars, too.
The new NBA 2K23 Gameplay trailer, however, is less than two minutes long and does not dive into the new gameplay mechanics. 2K has promised more gameplay details are incoming next week.
Some of the key takeaways from the trailer: Visual Concepts seems to have included a lot of the new player celebrations into the game, such as Steph Curry’s “nite, nite” gesture, and more. Hopefully, aside from the celebrations, the gameplay has been kicked up a notch as well.
NBA 2K23 will be available with four editions of the game. The Standard Edition for £69.99, a Digital Deluxe Edition for £74.99, the Michael Jordan Edition for £89.99, and the Championship Edition for £129.99. You can learn more about what each edition offers right here.

Ubisoft has finally revealed more details about the AC Valhalla upcoming update. Title update 1.6.0 will add a new free game mode on August 2 as well as a new free time-limited event starting on August 4 and ending on August 25.
The Forgotten Saga is the brand new free game mode. The mode will have Eivor delve into Niflheim as Odin to battle Hel, the daughter of Loki. He repeatedly infiltrates the realm of the dead as he attempts to rescue Baldr, his son, over and over again.

The King of Fighters 15 is the latest iteration in the King of Fighters franchise by SNK Corporation. SNK revealed the upcoming DLC for King of Fighters 15, Team Awakened Orochi which adds three new playable characters to the game including Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Shermie, and Orochi Chris. The DLC will launch sometime in August 2022.

Bungie has revealed that the recent lack of communications with the Destiny player base is due to the rise of online harassment and death threats against the game’s developers and employees.
The explanation came in response to a Reddit post that simply said “I miss seeing so many “Bungie Replied” threads here.” This, naturally, had sparked an argument with some people saying it’s a normal reaction to harassment and others arguing that the harassers are a minority of the community.
This has led to a Destiny Community Manager, dmg04, to respond and elaborate that the issue runs deeper than what can be seen on Twitter.
“Here’s the thing, the harassment we’ve spoken to isn’t just rude replies on twitter or vague comments. There have been real threats towards our people and our studio. We’re taking them seriously, which is leading to an amount of reduced communications as the team plans future protections / strategies to help avoid these sorts of things.” said Destiny Community Manager “I will be very clear in saying that I appreciate the studio in the amount that’s it’s helped me personally after some serious harassment towards me and my family. I’m taking time off in part because of this. Just because you can’t see it directly in a given tweet or forum reply doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen.”
He then clarifies that the recent measures weren’t meant to punish those who give respectful feedback, and that Bungie is already working on new ways to communicate with the Destiny community.

Frogwares has officially announced it is in production for a full remake and a substantial rewrite of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. The remake of the game is highly requested since it was released 15 years ago in 2007 and is now considered quite outdated.
The studio is working to fully remake the game from the ground up. It will also be rewritten so that the remake would also serve as a continuation of a young Sherlock’s story.
Frogwares also promises a full trailer as well as a video update very soon. For now, they have released some new concept art on Twitter.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is an adventure video game that was published back in 2007 for PC. It is currently unknown whether this remake will be available on PC only, or if the game will also be available on consoles.

● Processing (L) an Artifact item with “Ancient Power – Red Shard” and “Ancient Seal – Black Shard” while using the “Process all identical items” option selected causes the “Ancient Power – Red Shard” and “Ancient Seal – Black Shard” to only be part of the Simple Alchemy processing for the first time and not for the subsequent times.
– After the first time, only the Artifact item will be processed via Simple Alchemy. If you wish to include the “Ancient Power – Red Shard” and “Ancient Seal – Black Shard” as well, please deactivate the “Process all identical items” option.
● The appearances of the Abandoned Monastery’s Relief Aid Priest and certain NPCs for Shai’s Talent questline are being displayed abnormally.
● Hotkeys are not working properly when battling the biome bosses in Atoraxxion: Sycrakea after certain cutscenes.
– This issue can be resolved by clicking the Settings button on the lower right-hand side of your screen.
● NPC Patrigio’s (Velia, Calpheon, and Grána) dialogue for the materials to craft the Bonfire of Dreams does not match the actual materials.
● An Atoraxxion Pet’s visual effect is visible during Node/Conquest War

A new Assassin’s Creed and PUBG event has been announced by KRAFTON and Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed is leaping into both PUBG: Battlegrounds and New State Mobile, and the partnership will include several Assassin’s Creed elements including cosmetics, events, and world elements.
The event will first kick off on PUBG: Battlegrounds on August 17, and it will stick around until September 22. The game will add 2 new AC costumer, 2 bag skins, a parachute skin, an emote, a gun charm, and two spray items.
Abstergo Industries has also taken over the map’s main building and will include the Animus Machine as well as several Leap of Fatih spots. Players will also be able to discover new AC-themed resources and props on the Haven map.
New State Mobile, on the other hand, will kick off its AC event on August 18 and will last until September 21. The event will include over 30 AC-themed costumes, weapon skins, and items through various timed events and collaboration crates.
Players who log into the game during the event will also receive daily log-in rewards and will unlock even more rewards by completing story missions and uncovering the rumored presence of Templars and Assassins in Erangel and Troi.
KRAFTON and Ubisoft will reveal more information regarding this Assassin’s Creed and PUBG event soon. PUBG: Battlegrounds is now available for download on the game’s official website.

Bounty Star is an upcoming over-the-shoulder 3D action game developed by DINOGOD. It combines combat and customization with farming and base building. You play as an ex-soldier named Clementine McKinney, who is also a war veteran, talented fighter, and expert mech pilot. Bounty Star will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Flock (new game):
Flock is a multiplayer co-op game by Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg. Flock is about the joy of flight and collecting adorable flying creatures with your friends, players will soar through beautiful landscapes and seek out rare and elusive creatures to add to their flock. Flock will launch into Game Pass. It will be available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The Lost Wild (new game):
The Lost Wild is a survival horror adventure game, developed by Great Ape Games, about overcoming nature’s most formidable forms of life – Dinosaurs. You are stranded in a violent primal world and survival depends on mastering its rhythms and anticipating its dangers. A mysterious voice on the radio seems to offer a glimmer of hope. Developer Partnerships:
Annapurna Interactive announced multiple new developer partnerships. The new developer partnerships include Yarn Owl, a new studio based in Austin, and Third Shift, a Germany-based studio working on their debut game, Forever Ago. Annapurna will also be partnering with two studios they have previously worked with including Carboard Computer, creators of Kentucky Route Zerom, and DREAMFEEL.
