Continuing down the line of PlayStation exclusives getting a patch, Days Gone update 1.70 October 28 patch has been released and its a rather big update.
On the PS4 revision history, the only known notes are that this update is to resolve some various bugs.
Days Gone Update 1.70 October 28 Patch Notes
Bug Fixes
We’ll be sure to update the above if anyone from the community spots additional changes, though we suspect this update is most likely to fix any bugs spotted on the PS5 via backwards compatibility. Although being 24-25GB in size, that is odd that the only listed notes are for bug fixes.
Since the launch of Days Gone, developers SIE Bend have been working on improving loads and fixing a number of bugs. The experience is certainly far better now than it was when we first reviewed the title last year, though with this new update now out, it will be interesting to see if the load times see a drastic change like The Last of Us 2 Remastered did. We’ll be sure make a comparison post if that’s the case, so stay tuned!
While Halo Infinite missing the Xbox Series X’s launch is bad enough for Halo fans, it looks like another blow has been struck to the franchise, as Halo Infinite Director Chris Lee has departed the game as well.
Lee, who has been with 343 Industries since 2008, was the Director for Halo Infinite, which is the franchise’s debut on next-gen. Speaking to Bloomberg, Lee confirmed his departure and had the following to say:
“I have stepped back from Infinite and I am looking at future opportunities. I believe in the team and am confident they will deliver a great game and now is a good time for me to step away. – Chris Lee
Halo Infinite was originally set to launch alongside the Xbox Series X this November 10, but Microsoft announced the game’s delay to sometime in 2021 back in August.
As for Lee, he is still with Microsoft, the company confirmed in an email statement.
Could this be due to inter-office politics? Following Halo Infinite’s rather disastrous gameplay reveal, Microsoft hired Halo vet Joe Staten to lead the single-player campaign, and Pierre Hintze was also hired as Senior Executive to run the multiplayer portion.
Once we know more regarding this latest development, we’ll let our readers know.

The PS5 is almost upon us — well, at least those who managed to snag one via pre-order, anyway. To help drum up hype, Sony has released the PS5 launch ad spot and it features rapper Travis Scott!
There are no limits to where we’ll go. We are all explorers. PlayStation®5. PLAY HAS NO LIMITS.
Here’s what Sony’s Senior VP, PlayStation Worldwide Marketing of Sony Interactive Entertainment had to say about the ad:
For launch, our goal has always been to create a spot that feels epic and iconic; a spot that truly celebrates our desire to push the boundaries of what is possible and evokes the excitement that you will have through the unique experiences made possible with PlayStation 5.
The theme of the spot is centered around the idea of exploration. There is a desire in all of us to explore and discover new possibilities, whether it’s in gaming, or in our everyday lives. We all want to go to places we’ve never been, see what’s never been seen. We tell the story by paying homage to explorers of the past who stood on the threshold of the unknown and pushed past their limits to achieve the extraordinary.
Finally, we needed an iconic voice to narrate this unique spot, we went with our new strategic creative partner – Travis Scott. We hope you enjoy, and we look forward to continuing to explore new and exciting worlds with you through PlayStation 5.

Frozen Guard was given a complete visual overhaul to improve the visual quality and readability of the map. The layout of the map remains the same, but the architecture and natural elements were reworked to give a better sense of purpose and scale.
The spawn room was opened up to give the player the sense that they are part of a much larger world from the very start as they enter the map. No longer does the player spawn in a small dark room, but in a semi-open space that inspires wonder.
The Guardian statues that are the map’s namesake that flank the Capture Point building are one of the few points of interest remaining from the original version of Frozen Guard. But instead of blending in with the surrounding landscape, the statues are built on to the buildings in a more deliberate way to catch the player’s eye as they round the cart path leading out from the Capture Point.
A new vista was created. Instead of an ice quarry, Frozen Guard now sits high up on a mountainside overlooking the fjords, with other towns and buildings visible off in the distance.
In the new Frozen Guard there is much more for the player to explore!
Players on Gamepad will now be able to turn on a new setting called “Advanced Scoreboard” inside their Gameplay settings. Enabling this changes the scoreboard functionality from “Hold to Open” to “Press to Open”. Once the scoreboard is open, Gamepad players will be able to use their selected action when highlighting over an individual player to scroll through their cards and talents.
Item Store Undo Button
Players can now undo purchases made in the item store, as long as they have not closed the store page.
UI Updates
We have made various UI updates across paladins menus to increase legibility and highlight states.

Bomb King’s ultimate has been slightly reworked and should now transition smoother between various states.
Customizations
The team will continue our effort to give away unique avatars for those participating in various weekend bonus events throughout Vora’s Pact.
Each split, maps will either be in the active or reserved map pool. Reserved maps will not appear while playing ranked during that split. Each new split will see some maps rotated between the active and reserved pools. For Split 4, Frozen Guard and Ascension Peak will be rotating into the active map pool, while Brightmarsh and Bazaar will be rotating out.
This ability has received some quality of life improvements to make dropping totems against walls easier. When aiming at a wall, Healing totems will now drop at the ground, if it is a valid location.
When used, this ability will now prioritize the player with the highest Killstreak within 150 units of Lex. If no enemies are within 150 units, Retribution will then prioritize the player with the highest killstreak outside of 150 units.
Retribution can no longer target the same player twice in a row

While a lot of Destiny 2 players are probably looking ahead to Beyond Light’s release this November 10, that’s not all that’s coming to Destiny 2 players. Bungie has announced that the Season of the Hunt is starting on November 10, too, and the studio has even given us a Destiny 2 Season of the Hunt roadmap/calendar!
Before checking that out, watch the ViDoc first to see what’s coming ot Destiny 2 players in Beyond Light, and in the coming weeks!

Season of the Hunt also begins on November 10 — you will be able to start earning ranks and rewards from the Season Pass, claim your Artifact, and begin to customize it as you power it up. This Season’s story mission and new Wrathborn Hunts activity will kick off the following week on Nov 17.

In addition to the patch notes, Illfonic has also talked about some of the changes made over on the PlayStation Blog. The studio talks about how these changes will encourage more class diversity and more.
This update will also encourage players to create more class diversity within their Fireteam at the start of a match. Each class: Assault, Support, Scout, Recon, will have a total of 16 new bonus perk possibilities to select from, in addition to your current loadout. That’s right; this perk is on us. Ideally, stacking your Fireteam with each class will provide four new perks for all to enjoy, in addition to your current loadout abilities. A sample of bonus perks range from:
Assault – Deadly – 15% increase to assault rifles
Support – Field Medic – 30% increased revive speed, and revived soldiers always revive with 80% HP.
Scout – Liberator – Heal 50HP and gain a 20% damage boost after disabling a camp alarm for seven seconds
Recon – Sniper – 15% damage increase to spotted targets
In addition to these items, we balanced the game’s weapons. For example – grenades are 400 times more potent in Clash, while the shotgun and the grenade launcher have also seen a significant damage increase. We are thrilled players are having fun with Clash. One new addition can be found when you’re selected to play the Predator. Clash will automatically prompt your loadout selection to encourage the player to try out different perks to help influence and enhance your team’s chance at winning.
Once we get more details regarding the next content drop for Predator Hunting Grounds, we’ll let our readers know.
While Ubisoft just released a beefy Hyper Scape update last week that brought in the Halloween event and other stuff, the company has released the Hyper Scape update 1.22 October 27 patch and it’s out now, and it adds new features!

Fall Guys is getting the King of the Monsters starting next week! Mediatonic has partnered with Toho Co. Ltd to celebrate Godzilla Day by bringing a Godzilla-themed skin for hit party game starting November 3!
Beginning November 3, players will be able to use the new Godzilla skin for 10 Crowns! It features Godzilla’s trademark three rows of dorsal fins, and before anyone wonders, yes, it will also feature different colors depending on which team you’re on! Take a look at the Fall Guys Godzilla skin below.
Here’s what Mediatonic VP of Creative have to say about the collaboration:
“There are many parallels to be drawn between the mighty Godzilla and an average Fall Guy; they are both fiercely competitive, they battle on an international stage with incredibly high stakes, they always get back up after being knocked down, and according to worrying reports from our social media channels, they are both much taller than you’d expect. We are proud and deeply honored to share the stage with the greatest Kaiju – and if anyone is still struggling to get a crown with this costume, though it may sound primitive and un-scientific, we recommend that through the fairies, they could perhaps ask Infant Island for help?”
We’re not expecting a patch to make its way out for the character skin, but if we do get one, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
