It’s fun in its purest form, regardless if you win or lose. ”

This week my dear friend Wrensi, from the Publishing Team here at 343 Industries was able to share some awesome new mockups of the CGB. I want to remind you that this feature is in development with teams actively working on it and is not functional or in game at this time. We don’t have a definitive date of it coming online just yet but are targeting it to join with several other new features at or beyond Halo 4’s release onto PC later this year.
One of our key goals for the CGB, is to allow players to locate games you want to play quickly and easily so you can get into game fast without a headache of too many options and menus. To accomplish this, we are going to keep the tool simple. Below are some mockup screenshots of the menu flow showing what CGB could look like for MCC when it comes online.

For those playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and wondering whether we’ll see another new season given Black Ops Cold War is on the horizon, rejoice! It looks like we’ll be getting at least one more season for the game’s multiplayer!
While no official announcement has been made by Activision, COD pro team Minnesota R0KKR has tweeted an announcement about Modern Warfare Season 6!
While we don’t normally report on eSports stuff, this one bears mentioning. It looks like the COD League will be adapting controllers as the default method for controls! An announcement was made today over on the official COD League website where the “platform transition” was announced.
Platform Transition
Today, the League is announcing it will move pro team competition to PC + Controller beginning with the 2021 season. This means that all pro matches will be played on PC and all pro players must use a League-approved controller of their choice.
As part of this transition, Call of Duty League competition will maintain exclusive use of controllers for the upcoming season. This change provides players with expanded choice of controller, allowing them to select the League-approved controller style that works best for their game. More details and rules pertaining to peripherals will be released at a future date.
As for Warzone, given the free-to-play battle royale game will be transitioning into Black Ops Cold War, expect new seasons and content to make its way there as we go past Modern Warfare Season 6 and beyond.

While we already know the Xbox Series X and S price and release date, Microsoft has today updated the official pages for both next-gen consoles (Series X, Series S)! With the update, we now have lot more details revealed such as the dimensions, weight and more.
Below, you’ll see each console’s weight, dimension, official specs, and even what’s inside the box.
For the Xbox Series X, we now know it’ll feature three HDMI ports, its weight and more! Microsoft has updated the Xbox Series X page to state it’ll only feature one (1) HDMI port and not three as originally shown.
TECH SPECS
PROCESSOR
CPU. 8X Cores @ 3.8 GHz (3.66 GHz w/SMT) Custom Zen 2 CPU
Expandable Storage. Support for 1TB Seagate Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S matches internal storage exactly (sold separately). Support for USB 3.1 external HDD (sold separately).
Expandable Storage. Support for 1TB Seagate Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S matches internal storage exactly (sold separately). Support for USB 3.1 external HDD (sold separately).
In case you didn’t notice it, the Series X will ship with a 2.1 HDMI (ultra high speed) cable, while the Series S will come bundled with a 1.4 HDMI (high speed) one. Mind, it’s expected given the Series S is signficantly cheaper than the Series X. For those who don’t know about HDMI, they come in standard, high speed, premium, and ultra. All except the standard support 4K, though only premium and ultra support HDR (and 1.4b newer), with ultra supporting higher speeds and resolution. Its important to note that Microsoft may still be in the process of updating the sheet. This isn’t to say that the Series S doesn’t support HDR as it’s port are 2.1 ready. Also chances are that 1.4 HDMI is of the newer one with HDR support.
Anothet interesting confirmation from the given specs is that both consoles will feature support for dual band wifi, though not for WiFi 6 as many had speculated.
Both consoles will be out this November 10, with pre-orders starting later this month on September 22.
Make sure to check out gameplay of Gears 5 multiplayer running at 120 frames per second on the Xbox Series S here! Also check out this size comparison images of the two consoles compared to the other ones too.
EA Motive Studios, in conjunction with Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) has crafted a Star Wars Squadrons CG short titled “Hunted.” Check out this six-minute short film below that tells a new Star Wars story.

The Empire’s retreat after a surprise attack marks yet another stumble in the wake of the second Death Star’s destruction. But for one member of Titan Squadron, the battle is far from over. Squadron Leader Varko Grey finds himself as the last TIE pilot on the battlefield, hunted relentlessly by a renegade New Republic X-wing in this standalone STAR WARS: Squadrons story.
Made in collaboration by Motive Studios, Lucasfilm, and ILM, “Hunted” is set before the events of STAR WARS: Squadrons, introducing you to one of the ace pilots who you’ll be fighting alongside in the story to unfold.
If you want to see how this story pans out, you’ll need to play Star Wars Squadrons when it flies out this October 2! Check out campaign gameplay footage of the game to see how it’s shaping up so far.
Remember that Battlefield 6 (or Battlefield 3 Remaster) “teaser” bit we got last week? Well, I’m here to be the bearer of bad news. It seems that was something a fan cooked up and nothing more.
Over on Twitter, the “TEET” account tweeted a message today admitting that the account and the tweet are fan-made and nothing more. The person who owns the Twitter account has apologized to fans and even to DICE Senior Designer Niklas Astrand for having him get roped in.
Astrand himself tweeted about this today as well, which you can see below the original tweet, where he says:
Starting to feel my dear TEEET got hijacked and forced to be something it was never intended to be. It was and should forever be a Babel EE meme created by you – the BF community.
Never forget this. No matter what you may hear in recent videos.
I’ll let it rest for a while…
Sorry, Battlefield fans! It seems we’re back to square one! Hopefully, we’ll get a tease or something for the next Battlefield game soon. This proves that the community is so thirsty for any Battlefield-related announcements that we’ll jump at the chance at anything, which is both a testament to the community and the people passionate about the franchise.
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any developments regarding Battlefield 6 or any new announcements regarding the franchise.
Just last month, Acr System Works announced that Master Roshi would be joining the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster. Today, Bandai Namco announced the Dragon Ball FighterZ Master Roshi release date is set for September 18!
There’s also a new trailer to accompany the release date announcement, which you can check out below.

Once the title update for the Dragon Ball FighterZ Master Roshi release is out, we’ll let our readers know. This should come with a host of gameplay fixes and tuning updates as well, so stay tuned.
It looks like Microsoft is looking to shore up its first-party studios, and one of the developers the company is eyeing is none other than Bungie! The Microsoft Bungie acquisition talks was outed on the latest GamesBeat podcast by veteran video game journalist Jeff Grubb.
According to Grubb, Microsoft and Bungie have had discussions about it, though both parties have not been able to agree on a sale price. This report was backed up by Eurogamer who heard similar rumblings, which adds that that this was driven by Bungie’s desire to raise new funds for the studio, its project and staff.
The report doesn’t state if talks have been scrapped entirely, or if the sales price is still being negotiated currently.
If this pans out, would this mean Destiny will be exclusive to the Xbox platform moving forward? Perhaps, or it could continue as is, and Microsoft can make it so that future expansions and content come to Xbox platforms first.
Veteran gamers will remember that before Bungie made Destiny and charted on its own, the studio was first known for its work on the Halo franchise, with the last Halo game by Bungie being Halo Reach released back in 2010. Since then, Bungie has developed the highly successful Destiny franchise alongside Activision, with the two companies parting ways in January of 2019.
Will we see Bungie back in the Microsoft stable once again? And would you want it to develop Halo once more if given the chance?
Update: Bungie CEO Peter Parsons has shot down this report stating it’s “false.”
A good sign of progression for Cyberpunk 2077, as one of the key developers today confirmed that they have played the game from start to finish, and even more so have 100% platinum the game on PS4, giving us an official Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 trophy count.
According to the screenshot published by Łukasz Babiel, a QA lead at CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 trophy list will feature a total of 45 trophies. 26 of those will be bronze, 17 silver, 1 gold, and of course the last being the platinum trophy.
What does this mean? Well, it confirms that the title is entirely playable from start to finish, including achieving 100% in all areas outside of the main campaign. On a bit more of the interesting side of things, we believe this would be the first time we have actually ever heard anything coming from the PS4 version outside of normal press releases. In fact, the content that has been shown thus far has been for PC and Xbox, considering that Microsoft currently has marketing rights for the title. And while this isn’t a screenshot of anything in-game, it is a bit nice to see something related to the PlayStation side of things for the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to release on November 19. It iwll be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X and S supporting backwards compatibility until the next-gen version is ready for release.

If you haven’t bought the game yet, check out our review of it here. where our review states, “With EA seemingly putting an indefinite hold on the NBA Live franchise, the lack of competition essentially gives 2K an annual pass. The lack of realism regarding player ratings, player attitudes in building a franchise, and the overall experience of MyCareer leaves a sour taste in my mouth.”
Update: Offiical patch notes have been released by Visual Concepts.
If you play Call of Duty multiplayer, you’ve no doubt experienced your character flinch when you got shot while aiming down sight (ADS). If you hated that, rejoice! Black Ops Cold War flinch design has been reworked from previous games!
This was confirmed by Game Designer Tony Flame who shared that now, flinch is now primarily a “feedback mechanism” instead of it affecting your weapon, and having players unintentionally getting headshots due to flinching.
Damage Flinch has been redesigned in Black Ops Cold War. Flinch is now primarily a feedback mechanism to help you understand you’re taking damage, without affecting the aim position of your weapon. Your weapon will move with your screen to stay on target. No more flinch headshots

Continuning with the good news, if you liked that you can tweak and edit your loadouts while in-game in Modern Warfare 2019, well, it’s now been confirmed that you’ll be able to do that in Black Ops Cold War too! This was confirmed by Treyarch employee FoxhoundFPS over on the game’s subreddit.
Core concept right here. We’re in Alpha and can tune/adjust these types of things.
Tanks go down very quickly when focused. You can also spec your weapons out to be anti-tank. Everyone should have a good anti-streak class. You can even make them in-game. No more excuses.
In just a few short months, next-gen gaming goodness will be upon us! For those multiplayer fans who dream of better resolution, refresh rates or frames-per-second (fps), we’ll be getting that and then some. Have you ever wanted to see Gears 5 next-gen multiplayer? What if I told you it’s at 120fps? Well, we have that and it looks fantastic.
Check out this three-minute gameplay clip of Gears 5 multiplayer being played on the Xbox Series S and running at 120 frames-per-second!
In the words of international super spy Zohan, it’s “silky-smooth.” If this is what we’re getting for multiplayer for a game developed for current-gen consoles, then imagine what we’ll see 1-2 years from now for games developed exlusively for next-gen! I can’t wait.
Speaking of next-gen, Microsoft has announced details regarding the Xbox Series X and Series S! It’ll be out this November 10, and here are the details. Meanwhile, Sony has an event set for this week where we’re expecting the official PS5 price and release date to be announced!
What do you think of Gears 5 running at 120fps? Don’t forget, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will also be running at that frame rate, and best of all, it’s going to be free!
For Marvel’s Avengers players who do the daily and weekly missions, chances are you might have noticed that there’s a problem, as it seems they’re not resetting properly! Crystal Dynamics has today issued a statement on the Marvel’s Avengers daily mission reset bug.
He also confirmed that they are looking into the Weekly Challenges as well:
Well, that’s not good at all since y’know, people do want to tackle new missions for new rewards. Speaking of which, we posted a guide for people to complete these daily missions super fast.
In more positive Marvel’s Avengers news, did you know that there are hidden walls in Vault Caches? Some might have known this already, but I didn’t. Here’s what it looks like (via Reddit):
While what’s inside these fake walls are just resources (at least the ones found so far), who knows what other stuff like these are littered in the game just waiting to be discovered, right?
If you have a cool combo or found a secret in Marvel’s Avengers, hit us up via email and we just might feature your findings.
