Battlefield Hardline Premium Details Leak – 4 Expansions, Early Access, and Exclusive Battlepacks On Offer

Potential details on Battlefield Hardline‘s yet-to-be-announced Premium subscription have surfaced after its contents were allegedly spotted at a Gamestop retailer.

An image of the product’s physical packaging was posted on Reddit, which appears to describe a fairly familiar approach to the popular shooter’s season of DLC.

1424943721__hardlinepremium-760x375

“Delivering four expansions, 12 additional Battlepacks, exclusive items and more, Premium members also gain two week early access to the expansion packs, getting the latest and greatest and being the hottest on the streets of Battlefield Hardline,” the description reads.

“And just to make sure everybody else knows you’re a Premium member, get Premium-exclusive camos, patches and more to dominate in style. But that’s not all–there are also more perks yet to be announced, so stay tuned.”

The above should be taken with a grain of salt, even if it does look fairly plausible, but we do expect to hear official news on Battlefield Hardline’s Premium program “soon”, according to Battlefield on Twitter.

In 2013, a Premium subscription was offered to Battlefield 4 users for $49.99 USD, delivering a discount on five different multiplayer expansions and two weeks early access along with a handful of exclusive gear. Battlefield Hardline launches on March 17, or March 12 for Xbox One users with EA Access.

Keep your sights on MP1st for any updates we might find on Battlefield Hardline Premium.

Destiny House of Wolves Expansion Content Leaks After Latest Patch

Following Destiny Update 1.1.1 earlier today, including fixes for the heavy ammo glitch, weapons tweaks, and general improvements, users dug deep into some of the updated game files to determine what new content is potentially arriving in Destiny’s upcoming House of Wolves DLC.

Reddit users ShdwFlm and megamanexe4 both came up with similar results, discovering new quests, missions, and strikes, along with a new PvP mode, another co-operative Raid, and even a brand new non-combative social space.

If their findings ring true, Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves will introduce three new quest and three new missions, each reaching a highest difficulty of level 32. A new Strike called “Belly of the Beast” will allegedly take place on the Moon and will join a list of Strikes in a new Vanguard playlist called “Vanguard Dragon”. It’s also said that the new DLC will introduce the previously rumored Crucible playlist called “Inferno”, which does away the Tracker (Destiny’s mini-map) and simplifies scoring so that only kills earn points.

Most interestingly, the leaks suggests House of Wolves will offer a brand new social space, in addition to The Tower, located on The Reef, an area only briefly visited during Destiny’s main story arch. Taking a look at pre-launch video material for Destiny, you’ll catch a glimpse or two of what is assumed to be this new social space. Lastly, a new 6-player Raid called “The Arena” will also take place on The Reef and will allegedly go up to level 34 in difficulty.

One of the users, megamanexe4, gained some attention earlier this month after leaking some of the new weapons and armor in The House of Wolves, but was met with an official response from Bungie suggesting the information might be old and unreliable.

On record, The House of Wolves is due out in the second quarter of 2015 with a “major content release” planned for Fall 2015.

Naturally, the details above are subject to change, but none of it sounds all that far-fetched to us.

Keep your sights on MP1st for the latest on Destiny.

Clan Raids Are Coming To Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Win New Gear

A new mode called Clan Raids is coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare via the official Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Companion App.

Clan Raids, as the announcement puts it, are “time-based challenges where success earns acclaim via our Clan Raids leaderboards and new Clan Raid-exclusive in-game gear like the Equilibrium set.”

The new gear is pretty rad indeed, sporting an all white finish — sure to steal a look on the battlefield:

Equilibrium_Full_Asset

To earn it, Clan members can use the Tokens they’ve earned since launch to participate in Clan Raids, which can be initiated at any time by the Clan Leader. Once underway, Clans must work through a “diverse set of objectives” within a certain time limit. New Raids will be added over time, says developer Beachhead Studio.

The first set of Clan Raids will launch as a Preview on March 9 for Diamond Division Clans that have earned 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any Diamond Division war before March 9. Beachhead will use this time to tune the objectives to ensure a solid experience. Clan Raids will open to the public some time afterwards, at which point the new Equilibrium gear will become available.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Online Heists Dated, PC Release Pushed Back To April

It’s the one thing all Grand Theft Auto 5 fans want to know: Where are Online Heists? Finally, developer Rockstar Games has an answer, along with some news anxious PC fans might not want to hear.

Online Heists, Grand Theft Auto Online’s co-operative mode where players plan and execute elaborate heists similar to the ones performed by Trevor, Franklin, and Michael in the game’s single player campaign, are finally arriving next month on March 10.

“We know it’s been a wait, and appreciate your patience,” writes developer Rockstar Games in a recent Newswire update. “Heists will bring a brand new 4-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County.”

The sour note to this surprise announcement is that the PC version of Rockstar’s open-world action game is once again being pushed back to launch almost one month later than its previous March 24 release date. No stranger to delays, GTA 5 on PC is now launching on April 14, says Rockstar.

“Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC,” the studio writes.

But what misfortune can’t be smoothed over with a bit of cash? As a gesture of thanks for fans’ understanding, Rockstar is offering anyone who has pre-ordered the game $200,000 in-game cash to be used in GTA Online, on top of the amount already owed — we lost count.

How about some new high-res images of Online Heists in action? Meanwhile, keep your sights on MP1st for more GTA Online updates

Incoming COD: Advanced Warfare Update Will Re-Tune 15+ Weapons, More On Elite Unlocks

More updates are in store for Sledgehammer Games’ shooter, including more tweaks to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare‘s arsenal of weapons, according to Studio Head, Michael Condrey.

A handful of weapons were re-tuned in previous updates on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, but as Condrey indicated on his Twitter, fans can expect updates to 15 or more weapons in the near future.

Exactly which 15+ weapons are getting updates is still up in the air, but we do know the SN6 sub-machine gun will be among them, according to Condrey.

Condrey also laid out a few more hints with regards to what updates Sledgehammer is planning on making to Advanced Warfare’s Elite gear drops. On numerous occasions, he’s made it clear that alternative ways to acquire Elite gear, aside from Loot Drops, will be available sometime in the future. Now, it appears that your Prestige level might have some correlation with the gear you’ll be able to earn.

Keep your sights on MP1st for more Advanced Warfare updates as we get ’em. For now, what weapons are you hoping will be tweaked in the upcoming patch?

Viewers can up-vote or down-vote clips from the community with the top clips making front and center in the “Hall of Fame” for all to see.

Submitting a video is as simple as copying and pasting the URL to the YouTube clip you want to share. Some rules apply, like no Katy Perry music.

It’s a pretty simple set up and is a great way to find some of the Call of Duty community’s most impressive and badass clips on one place.

Mortal Kombat X – “Feudal Japan” Skin Pack Possibly Leaked, Full Roster Won’t Be Revealed Before Launch

New rumors about Mortal Kombat X’s first DLC pack are beginning to surface after a rather quiet week for NetherRealm Studios in terms of new information on their upcoming fighter.

According to a screenshot that’s been circling the internet, the first of five DLC skin packs for Mortal Kombat X is suggested to offer fans a skin pack themed around ‘Feudal Japan’. It may also be available day one, as executive producer, Shaun Himmerick stated that MKX will receive a skin pack once the game launches.

AeulxSK

Additionally, aside from the wild rumors and speculation surrounding who the guest character(s) for MKX might be, it seems that NetherRealm Studios won’t be implementing a console exclusive character in their game.

It should also be noted that, much like Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm Studios doesn’t plan to reveal the full roster for Mortal Kombat X before launch and may keep a character or two a secret until the public gets their hands on the final game.

Mortal Kombat X is set to release on April 14 for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.

MP Talk – Do Single Player Campaigns In Multiplayer Shooters Suck?

We’re putting a single player spin on today’s episode of MP Talk as we discuss the often controversial topic of single player campaigns and their involvement in our favorite multiplayer shooters today.

Do they have a place? Do they belong in multiplayer-focused games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, games that are bought almost solely for their robust multiplayer experiences? If they’re here to stay, why do most of them suck so much? How can they be made more interesting to play and be turned into a more meaningful slice of the $60 price tag of games these days?

Join along with Denny, Alex, and I as we work out the kinks of what makes a good single player shooter campaign and what makes a bad one while we recall some of our favorite and not-so-favorite examples out there.

Tell us in the comments, how important are single player campaigns to you? What are some of your favorites? What can developers do to make them more interesting?

Until next time, keep your sights on MP1st.

Destiny – Matchmaking Coming To Weekly Heroic Strikes, New Details On Next Update

Destiny‘s next update, which you’ve probably heard a thing or two about by now, will introduce matchmaking to Weekly Heroic Strikes, Bungie announced today.

In addition to major weapon updates, bug fixes, and other quality of life improvements, the update, which aims to launch by the end of February, will allow Guardians to group up with others online before heading off into a Weekly Heroic Strike.

“We wanted the Weekly Heroics to be a challenge that pushed you and your buddies, but what we observed was that these strikes don’t demand the same cooperation of a cohesive pre-made group,” Design Lead M.E. Chung  explained in Bungie’s latest Weekly Update. “The overwhelming community response was such that many players didn’t have the numbers on their friends list to experience the activity on a weekly basis.”

The update will apply to all levels of the Weekly Heroic, which does mean that Guardians will no longer be able to tackle the challenge solo. The Weekly Nightfall, however, will remain unchanged.

Amongst the work the studio is doing to introduce new features, Bungie still hasn’t forgotten about matchmaking for 6-player Raids, though no such update will make it in the upcoming February patch.

“We think good Raid sessions rely on groups of communicative players who are invested in each other, but we know that it’s challenging for many players to find groups for Raids and Nightfall today,” Chun added. “We are thinking hard about how we can help make that an easier experience in future releases.”

Here are a few other updates that Bungie says will make it into this month’s patch:

  • Xûr will stop forgetting to bring his Exotic engrams when he visits us from… wherever Xûr is from.
  • Iron Banner will work as previously promised, with a greater variety of maps in rotation as well as a couple of new Bounties that give you more control over which weapon you can use to complete them – and we were hoping that one would have arrived before the current event.
  • Strikes and Crucible Maps will be less likely to repeat themselves when you stay in a matchmaking playlist with your Fireteam.
  • Grimoire Cards will drop when you expect them to.

More details to follow, says Bungie.

ESL Will Host The ‘World’s Largest CS:GO Tournament’ In Cologne This Summer

This Summer, the LANXESS Arena in Cologne, Germany will play home to the “world’s largest Counter-Strike:GO tournament” on August 22-23, hosted by the Electronic Sports League (ESL).

The company’s Managing Director of Pro Gaming, Ulrich Schulze, announced today, “We had the honour of hosting two US$250,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments last year as part of the ESL One esports tour, and this year we plan on stepping it up.”

“ESL One Cologne is going to be the largest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event in the world. Taking place in the biggest indoor arena in Germany, we’re sure it’ll be a massive hit for fans from all over.”

This year, a prize pool of $250,000 USD, funded entirely by ESL, will be offered to the winners of the sixteen participating teams, a change from previous tournaments whose winnings were primarily community-funded. Schulze hopes the gesture will highlight ESL’s strong dedication to one of the PC’s most popular competitive shooters of all time and its community.

More details are to come on the tournament structure and qualification progress. Tickets will go on sale starting this February 23 on Eventim and at all associated ticketing agencies in Germany.
