NBA 2K26 New Update 1.019 Address Playoff Issues on April 20

Visual Concepts has pushed out a new game update for NBA 2K26 on April 20, and given we just received the Season 6 update recently, don’t expect anything from this outside of fixes.

Console gamers will see this as NBA 2K26 update 1.019 (complete version 01.019.000), and this addresses issues with The Playoffs.

For those unaware, the NBA Playoffs has officially started, and this new title update addresses issues that prevent players from experiencing it in the game.

NBA 2K26 Playoff Bugs Sorted in April 20 Update via Download 1.019

NBA 2K26 screenshot

Update: Visual Concepts released the following changelog:

  • Reduced the frequency of 2K Cam camera adjustments in Old Town Park 2v2 courts based on community feedback.
    • Note: This change also requires an additional live update that is currently rolling out. Thanks for your patience.
  • Resolved an issue with the Playoffs bracket that could prevent advancement when using Start Today in MyNBA.
  • Fixed a hang on PC when equipping a Season 6 Level 39 Cyborg Mod piece with certain shoes.

While Visual Concepts hasn’t said anything about today’s patch, the developers have confirmed recently that they are working on an issue regarding the Playoffs bracket.

The issue: The Playoffs bracket may fail to advance as expected when using Start Today in MyNBA.

Per Visual Concepts, “This issue should be addressed in an upcoming patch update, expected to release on April 20. Thank you for your patience,” which is today.

No word yet on whether there are other gameplay improvements or technical fixes included in the patch, but we’re not expecting any. If Visual Concepts releases more details, we’ll update the article with the info.

With the NBA Playoffs in full swing, expect the game to wind down slowly as we near the NBA Finals. After that, we have NBA 2K27 to look forward to.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Announced With Full-Length Reveal, First Story Details

It’s been 10 years since Bandai Namco Entertainment released Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and after years of post-release support, developer Dimps is finally ready to move on with the successor.

Aptly titled “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3,” Bandai Namco pushed out an announcement trailer clocking at over three minutes long.

Alongside that, the game’s first story details have also been shared.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Is Real and Is Coming in 2027

Per Bandai Namco, “As revealed in the announcement trailer for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3, players will get to explore and uncover exciting new stories in West City, the vibrant new world set in AGE 1000. Guided into the ranks of the Great Saiyan Squad, you’ll fight alongside allies as events there begin to take shape.”

The publisher states that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 combines an “epic story-driven RPG experience that will take DRAGON BALL fans on an unforgettable, action-packed journey into this new universe and its cast of characters.”

Expect more info to be shared by the publisher in the months to come.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is confirmed for release in 2027 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Given how amazing the support for Xenoverse 2 has been, fans should be excited for this new entry in the franchise. As recently as six months ago, Bandai Namco was still pushing DLC for the title. Let’s hope the same level of support is applied to Xenoverse 3 once it’s released.

  • Players will now correctly be able to collect a clue when freeing the jailed Cop in “Clergy Row”, which contributes towards the “Our Lesser Brothers” and “Secrets of the Shrew Shortage” trophies/achievements.
  • Players will now correctly be able to collect a clue after speaking to the Cheeselegger Foreman in “The Old Subway” level, which contributes towards the “Our Lesser Brothers” and “Secrets of the Shrew Shortage” trophies/achievements.

Console Versions

  • Players who enter Key Rebinding on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles will now no longer be soft-locked.

Crimson Desert’s Next Update to Be Larger Than Previous Patches; Adds New Difficulty Settings, Inventory Tabs and More

Last week, Pearl Abyss revealed that a slew of updates is set to hit Crimson Desert from this month to June. These aren’t just updates focused on patches, as the devs aim to release new features as well.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait long to see one of these major patches drop, as one is promised to be released soon, and it will include a slew of new features, such as new difficulty settings.

Crimson Desert Next Update Preview Confirms New Features

Pearl Abyss didn’t put a date as to when the next update will be released, but we assume it’ll be sometime this coming week.

Some of the confirmed features to be applied include:

  • Addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset
  • Difficulty settings
  • Category tabs for player inventory
  • Distant scenery quality improvements

The reason it’s not available right now is due to Pearl Abyss testing and polishing it before releasing the patch onto the wild.

Also of note, since the patch will feature distant scenery quality improvements, the developers have confirmed this patch will be “larger than our previous ones,” so better clear some hard disk space just to be sure.

When it comes to difficulty settings, Pearl Abyss has confirmed that “Easy, normal, and hard difficulty options will allow players to adjust combat difficulty for their preferences.”

There are a lot more new features and improvements planned, which are outlined in the dev update.

Same as before, once the patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.

In other gaming news related to open-world RPG games, The Blood of Dawnwalker in development by Rebel Wolves, has been confirmed to be playable from start to finish on PS5, and will use zero AI in development. For those unaware, Rebel Wolves is comprised of former developers of CD Projekt RED, so it’s easy to understand why the game is getting a ton of hype, even if it’s a new IP.

Hideo Kojima Is “Not Running Out of Ideas Soon,” Says Death Stranding Actor

If you liked Death Stranding and its sequel, you are probably looking forward to Hideo Kojima’s upcoming games, OD and Physint, both of which promise to push technical and narrative boundaries, but the question remains whether he can keep delivering new and surprising ideas.

According to Troy Baker, the actor who plays Higgs in the Death Stranding games, Kojima still has plenty of creativity left. He believes the creator is far from running out of ideas.

Higgs Actor Says Kojima Still Has Many Ideas But May Not Stick With One World Forever

hideo kojima creativity

In an interview with GamesRadar+ during the BAFTA event, Baker said: “I’ve learned to trust Hideo, and he’s not running out of ideas anytime soon.”

Still, Baker also understands that Kojima might not want to stay focused on the same world forever. He explained, “I think that there’s a lot that he did to set up this world and these characters that we could extrapolate from. But I also understand him as a creator going, ‘I don’t want to spend the next 20, 30, years of my life in one world.’ We’ve already seen he’s got so many other ideas and things that are already in development.”

Baker also shared his personal view as both an actor and a fan, saying, “I always try to approach this as an audience member, and what is it that I would want to appreciate from [creators], and if I get the opportunity to double down and be a part of it, then that’s gravy.”

He added, “That’s a bonus. But at the end of the day, I think I just, for these creators and these developers that I’ve worked with, I think, at the end of the day, I’m more excited to see what they come up with next, and one way or another, be a part of it.”

Kojima has been creating successful and well-received games since the days of Metal Gear Solid. Even though some projects, like PT, did not fully move forward, his work continues to stand out.

For now, it remains to be seen how upcoming games like OD and Physint will turn out and whether they will bring something truly different.

In other news, Hideo Kojima predicted at the Brazil Game Show 2025 that artificial intelligence will eventually create remakes and sequels for games and other media.

007 First Light Opening Title Sequence Revealed and It’s Everything You Want Out of a Bond Theme

Ah, yes, it wouldn’t be a 007 adventure without its own theme song and Bond-esque opening, and well, IO Interactive’s 007 First Light has just that, as the studio revealed the title sequence today. But what comes as a big surprise to many is that it’s being performed by none other than Lana Del Ray, who, by the way, actually recorded a Bond theme for the film Specter but was sadly rejected in favor of another performer. So here it is, finally, her new original Bond theme for 007 First Light.

Oh, and did we forget to mention that legendary composer, David Arnold, who worked on the score of five previous Bond films, is making his comeback to the franchise with 007 First Light?

The World is Not Enough to Contain Our Excitement for First Light

Not bad, not bad at all. Getting a lot of Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough vibes, which is no surprise considering that David Arnold scored those, along with three other Bond films. Music, of course, has always played a pivotal role in Bond films, and we’re glad to see that IO Interactive is putting a big focus on it. In fact, the latest “Beyond the Light” episode is all about the game’s music.

007 First Light arrives on May 27, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version set to arrive this Summer.

Marvel Rivals Season 7.5 Hero Balance Changes

ADJUSTMENTS

Chain-CC Protection

In Season 7.5, we introduced the Chain-CC (Crowd Control) Protection mechanic to ensure combat remains fluid and fair. Here are the specific rules:

– The Trigger: If a Hero suffers 5.5 seconds of total CC duration or is hit by 6 CC effects within a 7-second window, Chain-CC Protection activates. This instantly purges all active CC effects and grants the Hero 30% Tenacity for 3 seconds.
– Scaling Tenacity: Tenacity proportionally reduces the duration of incoming CC. While active, every new CC effect applied to the Hero increases their Tenacity by 10% and extends the buff’s duration by 0.5 seconds.
– Total Immunity: If Tenacity reaches 100%, the Hero becomes completely CC Immune until the buff expires. During this window, incoming CC will not grant further Tenacity or extend the Immunity duration.
– Cinematic Exceptions: Certain animation-driven CC effects (such as Emma Frost’s Carbon Crush and Monster Hulk’s World Breaker) bypass this system. Tenacity cannot reduce their durations, nor will they be interrupted if Chain-CC Protection triggers. Any standard CC effects applied during these cinematic moves will be cleared, and Tenacity applied, only after the cinematic ability concludes.
– Cooldown: The Chain-CC Protection system has a 5-second cooldown, which begins the moment the final Tenacity effect expires.

VANGUARD

marvel rvials

Emma Frost

We’re slightly lowering the energy cost of the White Queen’s Ultimate to boost her suppression power on the battlefield. Time to shine, darling!
– Reduce the energy cost of Psionic Seduction (Ultimate Ability) from 3400 to 3100.

Deadpool (Vanguard)

We’re slightly dialing back Vanguard-pool’s burst damage and the survivability gains from his gun-form Ultimate. Gotta keep things fair, even for the Merc with a Mouth!
– Reduce The Ban Hammer (Gun Form Ultimate Ability) Bonus Health gained per hammer hit from 80 to 60 (standard) and from 80 to 70 (upgraded).
– Reduce The Ban Hammer (Gun Form Ultimate Ability) damage dealt per hammer hit from 45 to 35.
– Reduce bonus Attack Speed provided by Deadpool in Your Area – Vanguard to Dual Desert Eagles – Vanguard from 60% to 40%.

Peni Parker

We’re slightly reducing Peni’s base survivability but enhancing the deployment range and protection of her Cyber-Webs, while also improving the hit experience of her Primary Attack. This aims to strengthen Peni in positional warfare! Now she can cover more ground with her Cyber-Webs, and flexibly using their support effects will help the team handle specific enemy dives with more ease!
– Reduce base health from 700 to 650.
– Increase the maximum number of Cyber-Webs that can exist simultaneously on the field from 3 to 4.
– Increase Bonus Health cap provided to Peni by Cyber-Webs from 150 to 200.
– Increase Cyber-Web Cluster Projectile Speed from 120m/s to 150m/s.

DUELIST

Marvel Rivals Update 1.000.077

Elsa Bloodstone

We’re reining in Elsa’s mobility and her threat level against Vanguards. The monster hunter needs to pace herself out there in the timestream!
– Increase Helix Advance cooldown from 8s to 10s. (Cooldown at max passive stacks from 2s to 4s).
– Reduce Monster-Piercer percentage damage per pellet from 1.2% to 0.8%.
Reduce total percentage damage when all 5 pellets hit from 6% to 4%.
Zhiyong Note: When all pellets hit, damage against a 275 HP hero drops from 81.5 (13*5+275*6%) to 76; against a 700 HP hero, it drops from 107 (13*5+700*6%) to 93.

Human Torch

We’re tweaking the Human Torch’s mobility mechanics to boost his burst mobility and enhance his gameplay pacing. At the same time, we want his movements to be a bit more predictable for his opponents. Flame on, but with a plan, Rivals!
– Plasma Body Mechanic Adjusted: Upon casting, he immediately dashes a short distance (10m) in the direction of movement and enters the Plasma Body state for 4s. This ability now has 2 charges, with a 10s recharge time per charge. There is a 4s cooldown between consecutive casts.

Winter Soldier

Bucky had a bit too much CC, which caused some serious frustration for enemies, especially when facing dive Vanguards, Duelists, or anchor Vanguards. He felt more like a “bodyguard” than a lethal operative. We’re reducing his CC capabilities and slightly buffing his frontal damage output to enrich his combat experience and make him feel like the true soldier he is!
– Remove Trooper’s Fist Grounded effect on enemies.
Reduce Cooldown from 12s to 10s.
– Increase Bionic Hook cooldown from 12s to 15s.
– Increase Roterstern Projectile Damage from 75 to 80
Decrease Spell Field Damage from 55 to 45.
– Reduce Tainted Voltage single charge energize time from 6s to 5s.
– Increase Kraken Impact Culling Threshold from 15% to 20%.
Reduce base damage from 80 to 70.

STRATEGIST

marvel rivals gambit

Adam Warlock

We’re giving Adam Warlock a little cosmic boost to his healing capabilities!
– Increase Cosmic Cluster cooldown reduction provided to Avatar Life Stream per hit on an enemy from 0.05s to 0.08s.

Cloak & Dagger

We’re slightly reducing the duration of Cloak & Dagger’s Ultimate.
– Reduce Eternal Bond (Ultimate Ability) duration from 13s to 11s.

Jeff the Land Shark

We’re slightly reducing the pressure our favorite land shark puts on the enemy backline. Good boy, Jeff, but let’s give them a breather!
– Joyful Splash damage falloff now starts at 15m (was 20m) and damage drops to 60% of base at 30m (was 65% at 40m).
– Reduce It’s Jeff! (Ultimate Ability) recovery time when failing to swallow any targets from 1s to 0.4s.

Luna Snow

A small encore for Luna Snow to enhance her base combat capabilities!
– Increase Light & Dark Ice damage and healing from 22 to 24.

Ultron

We’re expanding the battlefield coverage of Ultron’s Ultimate. There are no strings on him!
– We’ve adjusted the logic of Ultron’s Ultimate. The four Ultron Drones surrounding Ultron will no longer shoot directly at the crosshair target; instead, they will bombard the area around the target. The bombardment area matches Ultron’s, but with slightly lower values. With this adjustment, the coverage area of Rage of Ultron is increased from a 3m radius to a 6m radius.
– After activating Rage of Ultron (Ultimate Ability):
Increase Ultron’s Encephalo-Rays Damage from 8 to 18.
Increase the Drones’ Encephalo-Rays Damage from 8 to 12.
New Spell Field Damage Falloff: Starts at 1.5m after Encephalo-Rays explode, with a max falloff to 50% at 3m.
Increase healing effect on allies from 25 to 40.
(Damage and healing effects on targets within the original 3m radius remain roughly the same).

TEAM-UP ABILITIES

ADJUSTED OR REMOVED

Guardian of the Deep (Venom – Jeff the Land Shark/Hela)

Even the Goddess of Death and a ravenous Symbiote have to admit that Jeff’s healing hugs were getting a little too powerful. We’re dialing back the extra bulk for this aquatic alliance!”
– Reduce excess healing converted to Bonus Health from 100 to 50.
– Reduce healing efficiency from 70/s to 60/s

NEW

Lucky Loan (Black Cat – White Fox/Captain America)

What do you get when you cross a master thief, a mystical Kumiho, and the First Avenger? The ultimate heist crew!
– As the Team-Up Anchor, Black Cat gains a 5% boost in damage output.
– White Fox unlocks the new Nine-Tailed Aura ability through her Team-Up with Black Cat.
– Captain America unlocks the new Vibranium Bastion ability through his Team-Up with Black Cat.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Playable on PS5 From Start to Finish; Zero AI Confirmed for Final Release

The Blood of Dawnwalker was first announced in early 2025 as an action role-playing game developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Over the years, the title has generated much anticipation, with many comparing it to The Witcher 3. The developers have also seemed confident about the release, claiming that The Blood of Dawnwalker will set a new standard in the RPG genre.

Recently, it was also confirmed that the title is already fully playable on PS5 and won’t use AI in the final release.

Dev Confirms PS5 Version Fully Playable

During a recent interview with the Game Business, Rebel Wolves’ CEO and creative lead, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, said the game will not include AI (Artifical Intelligence), which is a bit of a hot topic today when it comes to game development.

He stated that, though they used gen-AI for the initial development, the final version of the game will be released without any of it, as the team plans to remove all AI placeholders used during development to ensure it releases with zero AI content.

Konard further confirms that The Blood of Dawnwalker is already fully playable on PS5, as he has finished the game on the platform. “We know how the game works and I already finished the game on the PS5 and it’s great,” the dev states.

This surely confirms that the game is already in a great stage, and we won’t see any delays in its release. The title has already seen significant anticipation and is likely going to be one of the biggest releases of the year

The game’s release date has yet to be announced, but the title is confirmed for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. If you’re curious how combat plays, read our first info about it.

We have our eyes on the title, and we will update as soon as we have any news on its release date.

Metro 2039 Releases Later This Year; Story and First Info Revealed

As expected, Deep Silver has unveiled the next entry in the Metro franchise titled “Metro 2039.” Once again developed by 4A Games, the next chapter in the Metro saga is set to be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC this winter.

Not only do we get an official announcement, but there’s also a six-minute reveal trailer showing us the overall vibe! We also get to see snippets of gameplay and real-time cinematics of the title as well.

Metro 2039 Journeys Into the Dark Heart of Post-Apocalyptic Moscow

The TL;DR round-up of info shared by 4A Games:

  • Coming to PS5, Xbox and PC in Winter 2026
  • Underground factions/communities united under “Novoreich” and new fanatical leader, known as ‘Hunter’
  • Explores what humans were before the war ended and after
  • New main character called the “Stranger”, haunted by violent nightmares
  • Harrowing journey back down into the metro
  • Much darker tone, handcrafted single-player campaign
  • Weaves exploration, survival, combat and stealth
  • Russia’s invasion of Ukraine changed and shaped the story – still a Metro story in the Metro universe
  • Pushes ray-tracing features and tech

More info straight from the press release:

THE YEAR IS 2039

For a quarter century, the last survivors of nuclear war have been locked in bitter conflict deep in the Metro tunnels beneath the poisoned city of Moscow. Now, the underground factions are unified under one banner – the Novoreich, led by a new Fuhrer: the legendary Spartan, Hunter. The Fuhrer promises salvation and a new life for the people on the surface but in reality, communities remain trapped deep within the Metro, flooded by propaganda and misinformation, suffering under his authoritarian regime.

You play as The Stranger, a recluse haunted by violent waking nightmares, forced to undertake a harrowing journey back down to the Metro, a place he swore he would never return to. The Stranger will be a fully voiced lead protagonist, making a notable step towards deeper immersion in METRO’s iconic atmospheric storytelling.

A CLASSIC METRO STORY, TOLD FROM A UKRAINIAN PERSPECTIVE.

4A Games was born in Ukraine, and still remains majority Ukrainian, but now with a team that spans over 25 different nationalities united by a Ukrainian spirit of determination and pride for their projects. Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has impacted and directly shaped the  development of METRO 2039, with its story shifting to focus acutely on choices, actions, consequences and the cost of securing a future.

While told from a distinctly Ukrainian perspective, METRO 2039 remains an authentically METRO story. Now working primarily from two locations in Kyiv and Malta, the goal remains the same: to create an experience that is unmistakably METRO.

There’s also a 15-minute showcase stream that features interviews from 4A Games’ Jon Bloch (Executive Producer), Andriy ‘mLs’ Shevchenko (Creative Director), and Pavel Ulmer (Co-Creative Director & Lead Audio Designer).

Needless to say, we’re keeping a close eye on this one, and will report back on anything we spot.

  • You can customize your Gallery experience even further by including or excluding Maker Packs with the new filter.

  • “Uses Items from These Packs” and “Show used items” sections in the Gallery now reflect what Maker Pack was used in a creation.
  • Create a Sim and Build Mode will now show the Golden Star icon for newly installed content from the Marketplace making your new purchases easier to find.
  • Deactivated packs will display their correct status in Load Game rather than showing as Not Owned.
  • Resolved an issue where the Moola Wallet wouldn’t update after a purchase.
  • Resolved an issue causing pack download status to display as “Failed” despite the download being successful.
  • “Connection Required” error should no longer appear after making multiple purchases in a row.
  • Maker names should now appear correctly for all Maker Packs.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the Browse page filters from being reset when the Marketplace was accessed from the Gallery.
  • Marketplace images should load correctly when Marketplace is accessed from the Gallery.
  • Resolved an issue where owned packs would show as “Not Owned” in the Load Save screen if the pack was deactivated.
  • Various UI scaling improvements for the Main Menu and Marketplace.

Console Updates

PlayStation and Xbox Simmers also get recent updates that PC and Mac Simmers have previously received.

This patch also marks the arrival of updates to Gallery discovery with improved filters for easier Gallery navigation!

Bug Fixes

Top 5 Most Voted Fixes:

  • [EA Forums][EA Forums] Extensive updates to ensure that Sims’ eye blinking will now show fully closed eyes for most interactions, see the blog post for more information on these changes.
  • [EA Forums] Prom will once again appear on Calendars, and Sims will be able to attend. This fix will ensure it is working for both new and old saves. Alongside this fix, we fixed another issue where Prom goals weren’t able to be completed. (High School Years)
  • [EA Forums] We fixed an issue where Pet and Horse data was being lost in Premade Households. This issue will no longer occur in new saves. Existing saves where the issue already occurred will not be retroactively corrected. (Cats & Dogs, Horse Ranch)
  • [EA Forums] We’ve implemented a notable change to how Sims determine who they speak with on a lot. Now, Sims will generally prefer speaking with familiar Sims they already have a good rapport with, and Sims are less likely to engage with strangers spontaneously.
  • [EA Forums] Animals can be assigned to an Animal Shed after moving the Household to a new lot. They no longer become stuck in Household or Sim Inventory. This is also fixed for saves where the animals were already stuck. (Cottage Living)

Sims Autonomy Improvements

“Sim autonomy” is one of our Quality of Life Team’s key focus areas based on community feedback, and this update delivers on 3 of our top autonomy issues: Sims socializing with strangers, excessive flirting, and Sims using certain objects obsessively. We’ll continue to watch player feedback surrounding Autonomy for future updates.

Base Game

  • [EA Forums] We’ve addressed the issue where Sims were excessively flirting with each other.
  • [EA Forums] We’ve heard your feedback and wanted to address Sims using Computers and Phones too often. We’ve added a few new preferences to the Base Game including: Likes Phones, Likes Computers, Dislikes Phones, and Dislikes Computers. If you don’t want your Sims to autonomously use these objects, please give them the “Dislikes Phones” or “Dislikes Computers” Preferences. If you’d like them to use these objects more often, select the appropriate “Likes” Preference.

  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously uses the Phone, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for six Sim hours. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims, Teen Sims, or Sims who Like Phones. Sims who Dislike Phones (a new Preference we added) will never use them autonomously anymore.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously uses the Computer, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for half of a Sim day. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims, Sims who are Geeks, Sims who Like Computers, or when it is a preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs, Small Businesses, or Dynasties. Sims who Dislike Computers (a new Preference we added) will never use them autonomously anymore.
  • [EA Forums] The “Troll teh Forums” Computer Interaction has been added to the same cooldown that is used for other Computer interactions. Sims will also now need Mischief Skill Level 6 or higher to consider this action autonomously unless they have the following Traits: Evil, Childish, Geek, Hot-Headed, Erratic, or Mean (who always have it available). (Base Game)
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously destroys a Doll House, it will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for some time. We also made a change so that only Sims with certain Traits (Evil, Hates Children, Mean, Hot-Headed) will ever autonomously decide to destroy a Doll House while Angry. Before this update, this autonomous behavior could occur for any Sim who was feeling Angry or Dazed.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously mixes a drink, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a Sim day for non-NPCs. Previously this would occur frequently for Sims who were Inspired, or Sims with the Bro or Foodie Trait.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously Swims, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for some time. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims, on Pool Venues, during Pool Party, or Birthday Party events, when Swimming is a preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs, or Small Businesses, or if the Sim is a Merfolk or PlantSim.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays the Violin, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a Sim day. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims, for Sims who are Music Lovers, Sims who Like Violins, or when it is a preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs, Small Businesses, or Dynasties.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays the Guitar, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a Sim day. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims, for Sims who are Music Lovers, Sims who Like Guitars, or when it is a preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs, Small Businesses, or Dynasties.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays Chess, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a Sim day. This is for non-NPCs only, and not applicable during Clubs or Getaways involving Chess.
  • [EA Forums] We’ve added a cooldown for Sims dancing while on a lot that the Sim owns. Sims who Like Dancing, Dance Machine Trait Sims, and certain situations will not receive this cooldown. This cooldown is not for non-active Household Sims. This cooldown will disappear when Sims move lots in case they are going to a lot where they want to dance.
  • [EA Forums] We’re reducing how often a Sim considers turning on the Radio. Sims with the Music Lover trait will consider listening to music more often than other Sims.
  • [EA Forums] Though practically a staple of Sim culture (I’m being cheeky), we’ve added a cooldown for autonomous Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, and Stretches. Now, only Sims who are Energized at the Gym Venue or Sims with the Active trait will consider doing this autonomously.
  • [EA Forums] We’ve added a cooldown for Foodie Sims watching Culinary Training Videos on the Television where they won’t do this autonomously for two days after doing it.
  • [EA Forums] If a Child Sim autonomously uses the Space Ship Jungle Gym, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a Sim day. This cooldown does not exist for non-active Household Sims or when it is a preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs, or Small Businesses. Leaving the current lot also removes the cooldown.
  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays with the Lump of Clay, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a while. This cooldown does not occur for Creative Sims or Sims who Like Pottery.

Discover University

  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays with the Soccer Ball they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a while. This cooldown does not occur for Sims who Like Fitness or non-Household Sims.

Cottage Living

The Sims 4 Update 2.23

  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously does Cross-Stitch, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for some time. This cooldown does not exist for Sims who Like Cross-Stitching or when it is a preferred interaction for a Club.

Lovestruck

  • [EA Forums] Sims will no longer consider playing Who’s Up Party Games while in the middle of writing a Book on the Computer.

Adventure Awaits

  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously plays with the Paper Airplane, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again for a while. This cooldown does not occur for Sims who Like Papercrafting.

Spa Day

  • [EA Forums] If a Sim autonomously uses the Yoga Mat, they will receive a cooldown on wanting to do this autonomously again right away. This cooldown does not exist for High Maintenance Sims or Sims who Like Wellness. (Sims must be Wellness Skill Level 2 to Autonomously use a Yoga Mat – previously and still.) The cooldown is removed when leaving the lot, and when it’s the preferred interaction for Getaways, Clubs or Small Businesses.

Movie Hangout

  • [EA Forums] A cooldown has been added to the Popcorn Popper so that after it has been used by a Sim that Sim will not want to immediately use it again for some time.

Pet & Animal Fixes

With two of our Top Community Issues being around animals and pets, we fixed a few other bugs also in this category to provide a better overall experience with these systems.

  • [EA Forums] Animals in the Animal Shed, Chicken Coop, Mini Goats, and Sheep will no longer be multiplied. This was happening when these animals were placed into a Sim inventory, then back in the world, and after that the Sims moved their Household. (Cottage Living, Horse Ranch)

General Bug Fixes

The Sims 4 Update 1.96

We addressed a handful of other important issues that were quickly rising with player reports, particularly problematic in gameplay, or easy to fix.

Base Game

  • Sims with the Unflirty Trait will no longer get the ick when hugged.
  • Placing a painting on the wall and then returning it to the Sim’s Inventory will no longer result in a Simulation error.
  • Resolved an issue that caused a main menu message to appear more frequently than intended.

Seasons

  • [EA Forums] Flowers will no longer get stuck midair while crafting a Flower Arrangement.

For Rent

  • [EA Forums] The “Do Inspection and Maintenance” interaction is now available on applicable working and broken objects in a Tenant Household for Landlord Sims. This should function both during Maintenance events and outside of them for Landlord Sims.

Life & Death

  • We’ve adjusted design elements on some of our swatches for the Ornate Mystery Rug which were ** concerning to some players.

Royalty & Legacy

  • [EA Forums] There was an issue where the updated Family Tree could cause wrong connections and overlapping which has now been fixed.
  • [EA Forums] We fixed a crash that could occur when resuming the game after deleting the Capp Household in Ondarion.
  • [EA Forums] Ondarion’s Verdemar lot is no longer reversed.

Parenthood

  • Child and Teen Sims who grew up in the same Household but weren’t related could get the Super Sibling relationship, despite not being related and then could later romance each other. Because we didn’t want to prevent stories where children could have possibly been in the same Household at one point while not related and end up in a relationship, we decided to fix this by renaming the relationships to Childhood Besties and Childhood Frenemy.

StrangerVille

  • There should no longer be a Script Call Fail error when the Plant Containment Cell is on the lot and the player tries to place other objects.

CAS & Build Mode Tagging Updates

the sims 4 new update

We had the opportunity to address a large swath of simpler tagging bugs, making CAS and Build Mode sorting more accurate overall. Here are related issues we fixed:

Base Game

  • All Makeup that was in the Everyday category has been added to both Hot and Cold Weather Outfit category as a sorting option.
  • We’ve sorted 43 existing items under the Kids’ Decorations category.
  • Various lights (that were previously considered wall lights) have been sorted into the Lighting > Outdoor Lights in Build Mode category.
  • “Cute Critter Basket” is now sorted under Objects by Function > Kids > Kids’ Decorations.
  • Updated the swatch color for (yfMakeupLipstick_EF28GlossyLips_RedRuby) to appear more accurate.
  • (yfBottom_SDX040CCHSkirtPleated) will no longer appear for masculine frame Sims.
  • The Pencil Holder object has been additionally sorted into the Clutter category in Build Mode.
  • The “Wicker-Work Diaper Storage” object is now sorted under Objects by Function > Kids > Kids’ Furniture.
  • The “Bow, Bow, Bow!” object is now sorted under Objects by Function > Activities and Skills > Life Event Activities.
  • The “Martian Soil” wall pattern is now categorized under the Misc category rather than the Paneling in Build Mode category.
  • The “Sweetpea” and “Firehouse Brick” wall patterns are now sorted into Masonry and Siding.
  • Sycee of the Prosperous Moon, Right Side Up Gnome, and Bob the Butler Fancy Sculpture have been removed from their previous category and are now sorted under Decorations > Sculptures.

Multipack

  • We updated a large amount of love seats and benches to properly be identified as “Benches” for lot requirements when placed.

Lovestruck

  • We’ve adjusted the Lovestruck Beard swatches to display in the correct order.
  • (ymBottom_EP16Jeans) will now appear as a Masculine Fashion Choice in CAS filters.

Life & Death

  • “Perilous Paneling” and “Patterned & Perilous Paneling” now sort into the Paneling category, and “Lunar Reverie” sorts into the Wallpaper category.

Enchanted by Nature

  • “Wild Uncanny Cane” plant is now sorted in both Roof Sculptures and Outdoor Plants.

Backyard

  • (yfTop_SP08TeeBoatNeck_GradientPink) no longer sorts as Yellow in CAS filters.

Moschino

  • The “Libearian” bookshelf and the “I’m So Shiny!” surface have been removed from the Sculptures category.

Holiday Celebration

  • The “Kinara” and “Menorah” light objects are now sorted under Lighting > Table Lamps.
  • “Holiday Snowman” and “Pre-strung Tree of Lights” are now sorting under Lighting > Outdoor Lights.

Kitchen Clutter

  • All clutter items from the Kitchen Clutter pack are now visible when sorting by the pack filter and looking under the Misc Decorations category in Build Mode’s room view.

The Forever Friends Event

  • (ymTop_EV0641TankTwistBack_SolidBlackCyan) will no longer appear for masculine frame Sims.

The Nature’s Calling Event

  • Cove Stone – Round, Cove Stone – Flat, and Cove Stone Cluster objects are now sorted in the Outdoor Plants > Rocks category in Build Mode.

Now this is one huge patch! Don’t expect the next patch to be this big, but even if it’s not, you’ll see it here on MP1st.

Turtle Beach Announces Their Next-Generation Headset, the Stealth Pro II

One of our favorite gaming headsets, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, is getting a massive upgrade as today Turtle Beach announced the next-generation of the headset, the Stealth Pro II. Here’s your first look at the Stealth Pro II, arriving next month.

Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II Continues to Build Upon a Legacy, While Paving the Way for the Future

It’s hard to imagine Turtle Beach topping their excellent Stealth Pro headset, a headset that received a perfect review score from us. Yet that’s precisely what Turtle Beach is aiming to achieve, as it officially announced its successor, the Stealth Pro II, today. However, this isn’t just a simple headset refresh we’ve seen over the years, as Turtle Beach aims to make it the “absolute” new standard that all other gaming headsets will be measured against.

“The Stealth Pro II represents the pinnacle of Turtle Beach gaming audio. The convergence of innovation, form, sonic clarity and comfort makes this, our flagship headset, the absolute new standard by which all other gaming headsets will be judged,” said Cris Keirn, CEO, Turtle Beach. “With Certified Hi-Res Wireless Audio and powerful 60mm Eclipse dual drivers, Stealth Pro II delivers extraordinary sound fidelity that lets gamers hear every detail of the action. As a fun marketing stunt, Turtle Beach put the Stealth Pro II to the ultimate test by tracking down Japan’s last ninja, Jinichi Kawakami, to see if the Stealth Pro II could indeed catch a ninja. Spoiler alert, it can!

More About Jinichi Kawakami

“Jinichi Kawakami is widely recognized as Japan’s last ninja. He is the sole living heir to a centuries-old tradition of covert operatives and assassins. Now 76, he heads the Banke Shinobinoden school of ninjutsu, directs the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum and Ninja Council, and holds a professorship in Ninja Studies at Mie University. His knowledge was passed down orally, and since he has chosen not to take on an apprentice, the tradition ends with him.”

For those interested, the Turtle Beach’s Stealth Pro II will officially launch on May 17, 2026, with pre-orders now available via Turtlebeach.com. It’ll MSRP at $349.99/€349.99/£299.99.

Battlefield 6 Roadmap for 2026 Promises Server Browser, Persistent Servers, Naval Warfare and More

While DICE and the rest of Battlefield Studios have been active updating Battlefield 6, there’s a lot more on the way for last year’s best-selling shooter.

Today, publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has cracked open the lid on what players can expect from the shooter via the official Battlefield 6 roadmap for 2026!

  • Ranked play + leaderboards
  • New weapons, modes, and more

Season 04 (July)

  • Wake Island (a classic returning Battlefield map)

  • Naval warfare unleashed for BF6 and REDSEC
  • Custom lobbies
  • Spectator mode
  • New weapons, modes, and more

Season 05 (Fall)

  • Three new maps confirmed (classified info, will be revealed at a later date)
  • Will be the last season for 2026

  • Multiplayer leaderboards

Ongoing Quality-of-Life Improvements

  • Combat tuning

Bear in mind, DICE has been dropping consistent updates for fixes, improvements and more, outside of the seasonal content drops. Earlier this week, we experienced that with the rollout of Operation Augur, which is a new mode.

The roadmap basically confirms some of the stuff spotted in the most recent datamine hinting at what we’ll get in the upcoming seasons.

Steam May Add 30-Day Price History to Improve Discount Transparency

Valve appears to be continuing its efforts to improve Steam client, which serves both as a video game store and as the launcher for purchased titles.

The company is now planning to add new features designed to improve the shopping experience. One of the newly discovered features is a price history tool that will show at least the last 30 days of pricing data.

Steam May Soon Show 30-Day Price History on Game Pages

steam pricing

With this new feature, users will be able to check the game’s current price as well as the prices it had during the previous month. This will make it easier to see whether a game has recently been on sale, if the current discount is actually a good one, or if the price was lower just a few days earlier.

Once this feature is added, players may no longer need to rely on third-party tools such as SteamDB, which many users currently use to track price changes. Instead, all of this information could be available directly inside the Steam client.

This will allow players to compare the current offer with previous prices and decide whether it is a good time to buy before the price goes back up.

The new tool is also part of Valve’s wider plans to provide more useful information on game store pages. Another feature reportedly in development is an estimated FPS display, which would show how well a game is expected to run on a user’s own PC. This feature may use collected user data to provide those estimates.

In other news, Steam recently broke its record for concurrent players once again just a couple of weeks ago, showing that the platform continues to grow.

Starfield Update 1.000.003 Addresses Crashing Issues for PS5 Pro, But Not for Base PS5

While Starfield’s release on PS5 this month was supposed to be a moment of celebration, that was marred by crashing and other technical issues that affected the RPG’s performance on the platform.

Today, that should change somewhat, as even if the new patch, which PS5 players will see as Starfield update 1.000.003, doesn’t solve all the problems, it should make the game a lot easier to actually play.

PS5 Pro owners, this patch will be a godsend for you.

Starfield on PS5 Receives Update 1.000.003 to Fix Technical Issues on Pro Console

Starfield Free Lanes Update 1.16.236

Bethesda announced, “Today we’re pushing live a quick hotfix for @StarfieldGame players on PlayStation 5 Pro that resolves crashing when using Enhanced settings.”

The developers added, “The team is preparing an additional hotfix for other PlayStation 5 crashes and freezes, targeting next week. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our support team, it’s been incredibly helpful.”

It seems that, based on the community’s response, this hotfix broke a few things on the base PS5 version. Just for reference, we are not expecting the base PS5 crashing issues to be fixed, so players using the OG console should stick to the 30fps mode for now. Having said that, community members have also lamented that even on that mode, the game still crashes, so best thing to do is probably wait for the patch next week that should address base PS5 issues.

In addition to the PS5 issues, there are also various bugs that are affecting gamers such as:

  • “Into the Void” mission not triggering correctly on PC
  • Frame rate issues affecting all platforms after the Free Lanes update
  • When leaving the menu or star map, the frame rate drops drastically. Possibly the GPU is entering power saving and not coming out of it (via @PeterP_1985)
  • You cannot rotate items properly in the inventory when inspecting with a controller (via @PeterP_1985)
  • Long load times when starting the Armada DLC on PC.

These are the tip of the iceberg, as there are more issues that need to be addressed — and not just on the PS5.

Once the PS5 patch is released next week, we’ll let our readers know. Hopefully, that comes with a lot more fixes than just the crashing problems.
