PSN Down Reports Surface as Users Run Into Issues With Licenses & Downloading Games This July 19, 2022

It looks like Sony’s PlayStation Network is having issues right now for a lot of gamers, as PSN down reports have surfaced this July 19, and this seems to be affecting downloading games, connecting to online servers and more.

PSN Down Status and Updates for July 19, 2022:

Over on Reddit, multiple users have reported issues with connecting to the PSN servers, as well as not being able to play online.

PSN Experiencing issues?
byu/Samwi5e inPS5

The official PlayStation Network status page also says that “some servers are experiencing issues,” with problems acknowledged for the PlayStation Store highlighted.

Could this outage be connected somewhat with the launch of Stray on PlayStation Plus today? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was, as the game seems to be one heck of a ride, with our review scoring it a 9/10 and saying, “Stray is absolutely worth checking out, particularly if you’re subscribed to Sony’s new Playstation Plus Extra or Premium services. For me, it’s one of the most memorable experiences of the year.”

Same as always, once we know more info regarding the outage, we’ll update the post, so refresh it from time to time.

Chivalry 2 Update 1.19 Rides Out for Patch 2.5.3 This July 19

Torn Banner Studios has released Chivalry 2 update 1.19 (PS5 vesrion 1.019) for what the devs call patch 2.5.4! This brings map balance changes, crash fixes, and other improvements. Read on for the Chivalry 2 July 19 patch notes straight from the devs.

Chivalry 2 Update 1.19 Patch Notes | Chivalry 2 Update 1.019 Patch Notes | Chivalry 2 Update 2.5.3 Patch Notes | Chivalry 2 July 19 Patch Notes:

Map Balance Changes

In reviewing our map data and win/lose ratio data, we have noticed that The Razing of Askandir is slightly too difficult for defenders on some objectives, The Breach of Baudwyn is slightly too difficult for attackers on multiple objectives, and that The Raid of Aberfell is too difficult for attackers to progress effectively in the beginning two stages of the map.

The Razing of Askandir

  • Stage 2
    • Decreased defenders spawn timer from 12 to 10 seconds
  • Stage 3
    • Decreased objective timer from 5 to 4 minutes

The Breach of Baudwyn

  • Stage 1
    • Increased objective timer from 7 to 8 minutes
  • Stage 2
    • Increased defenders spawn timer from 11 to 12 seconds
    • Lowered the HP of catapults from 1400 to 1200 HP
    • Lowered the HP of ballistas from 700 to 600 HP
  • Stage 3
    • Increased defenders spawn timer from 10 to 12 seconds
    • Decreased attacker spawn timer from 10 to 8 seconds
  • Stage 4
    • Lowered the time added at the beginning of the stage from 8 to 7 minutes

The Raid of Aberfell

  • Stage 1
    • Raised the points given by carryable peasants and pigs so only 25 of them are needed to bring back to the boat instead of 30
  • Stage 2
    • Increased defenders spawn timer from 12 to 15 seconds

Map Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Peasants would not appear during the final stage of Coxwell
  • Fixed an issue where sitting on the throne in Rudhelm would cause the Mason heir to not spawn
  • Fixed an issue where players would desync during the opening cinematic of The Razing of Askandir and fall into the water

Crash Fixes

  • Fixed a crash that would occur when rapidly getting multiple achievements on Steam
  • Fixed a server crash in relation to team placement

General Fixes

  • Fixed an exploit with commends visually giving more XP than actually was awarded
  • Fixed an exploit where players could fly when downed while on horseback
  • Fixed an issue where feint attacks would occasionally desync for the Raider and Ambusher
  • Fixed an issue where the bombards would cause players to be stuck in midair when knocked over
  • Fixed an issue where the scarf of Tenosian light armour would be visible in first person perspective
  • Fixed an issue with Steam Rich Presence not reliably updating
  • Fixed an issue where players would spawn in a cavalry wave without a horse
  • Fixed an issue where certain LTS maps’ scoreboards were showing the Tenosian faction instead of the map’s intended factions
  • Adjusted charging attacks (such as the spear) collision to prevent players from getting stuck on other players

Stray – Where to Find All the Music Sheets to Unlock the Music Badge

Having troubles finding all those music sheets in Stray? Well, don’t worry as MP1st has you covered with this helpful guide showing where to find all the music sheets in Stray.

Stray All Music Sheets Guide and Unlocking the Music Badge

In total, there are eight music sheets in Stray. You can collect these anytime during either part 1 or 2 of the Slums, and the reward for getting them all is the Music Badge and of course the trophy tied to collecting them. Due to there being so many we have decided to only do a video guide, as the Slums can be a bit of a confusing place to traverse. You can collect these in any order, but the video is in numerical order to make it easier for you to find the specific sheet you may need.

Whew! Finally, right? Probably the most time consuming trophy and badge to earn for Stray, but at least you had this guide to help right? If you enjoyed this guide, be sure to share it, and if you are wanting to read up on our other guides for Stray, you can do so here: Stray Guides

Go check out our review of Stray right here, to see why this little furball is the darling of the indie scene this year.

Progression

  • The Progression and Prestige systems have been reworked
  • IMPORTANT: No existing perks, items, or cosmetics will be lost if they are already unlocked on a character, even if having them would contradict the rules of the new system
  • Global Bloodpoint soft-cap has been raised to 2,000,000 (was 1,000,000)
  • Bloodpoint Categories maximum raised to 10,000 (was 8,000)
  • Prestiging no longer removes any items, add-ons, offerings, perks, or perk slots
  • Teachable Perks have been removed from the Bloodweb
  • Level 51 in the Bloodweb requires the character to Prestige, costing 20,000 Bloodpoints
  • Characters can now each be prestiged up to 100 times
  • Prestiging a character has the following rewards:
  • Prestige 1: The character’s perks are immediately unlocked for use on all other Killers / Survivors at Tier 1
  • Prestige 2: The character’s perks are immediately unlocked for use on all other Killers / Survivors at Tier 2
  • Prestige 3: The character’s perks are immediately unlocked for use on all other Killers / Survivors at Tier 3
  • Prestige 4-6: Bloodied cosmetic items (when available for the specific character)
  • Prestige 7-9: Perk Charms for the character’s perks
  • Existing players will have their characters granted prestige levels in the new system based on the following:
  • +2 additional levels per existing Prestige level
  • Example: A Prestige 1 character will receive +2 levels, resulting in being Prestige 3 in the new system
  • If the character has 70 or more Perks unlocked (Counting each tier of a perk separately):
    • +1 level for 70-119 Perks
    • +2 levels for 120-169 Perks
    • +3 levels for 170-219 Perks
    • +4 levels for 220-269 Perks
    • +5 levels for 270-319 Perks
    • +6 levels for 320+ Perks
  • Prestige 9 is the highest level a character can be when transferring to the new system, even if the above rules say they should be higher
  • Existing unlocked Teachable Perks will immediately grant access to Tier 1 of that Perk on all characters if no other mechanic has already granted access to the Perk
  • Added unique Prestige Crest artwork for each prestige level
  • Characters who are already at Prestige 3 on the old system will unlock a Bloody Prestige Portrait on the character selection screen
    • Can be toggled on / off in the Options menu

Shrine of Secrets

  • Teachable Perks have been removed from the Shrine of Secrets
  • Purchasing a Perk on the Shrine of Secrets now immediately unlocks that Perk on all Killers / Survivors at the displayed Tier level
    • Tier 1 – 2,000 Iridescent Shards
    • Tier 2 – 4,000 Iridescent Shards
    • Tier 3 – 6,000 Iridescent Shards
  • You must purchase Tier 1 before you can purchase Tier 2, and Tier 2 before Tier 3, unless you have already unlocked the Perk via the Prestige System
  • Having the perk already available via the Prestige System discounts the price:
    • Tier 1 via Prestige – 2,000 Iridescent Shards for Tier 2, 4,000 Iridescent Shards for Tier 3
    • Tier 2 via Prestige – 2,000 Iridescent Shards for Tier 3
  • The same Perk may be purchased multiple times on a single rotation of Shrine of Secrets
  • Purchasing a Perk that you already have at Tier 3 will convert the Iridescent Shards to 100,000 Bloodpoints
    • This can only be done once Shrine of Secrets rotation per Perk (maximum of 4 times on a single rotation, assuming you have all 4 Perks already at Tier 3)
patchnotesdividersmolwhite[1].png

Matchmaking Incentives

  • Matchmaking Incentives have been added to the game
  • Not available to players who have Cross-Play disabled
  • When the Survivor:Killer ratio in the active Matchmaking queue drifts too far from optimal (4:1), players will receive BP bonuses to enter the queue as the needed role
    • Note: Players can also expect queues with a large Incentive bonus to have faster queue times!
  • Matchmaking Incentives will appear on the Main menu and in the Lobby next to the Ready button.
patchnotesdividersmolwhite[1].png

UI

  • Made UI layout changes to accommodate the new Prestige Crest on multiple screens.
  • Character Info button has been moved to the side tabs in the Lobby UI.
  • Replaced Character Swap buttons/prompts with a Previous/Next button in the Lobby UI footer.
patchnotesdividersmolwhite[1].png

Optimization

  • Optimized the Doctor’s performance.
    • Dev Note: The Doctor currently has one of the largest impacts on performance for Killers. These performance optimizations should help improve that on all platforms.
patchnotesdividersmolwhite[1].png

 Changes from PTB

  • Reduced Prestige node cost from 50,000 to 20,000
  • Increased Bloodpoint Category caps from 8,000 to 10,000
  • Increased Global Bloodpoint soft-cap from 1,000,000 to 2,000,000
  • Rules for converting Prestige levels from the old system to the new system have been made more rewarding, but with a maximum starting point of Prestige 9
  • Reworked the Prestige Portrait reward for players who had already reached Prestige 3 on a character
  • Reworked the Prestige Perk Charm visuals
  • Reworked the Prestige Crest visuals
    • Dev Note: We received a lot of feedback on the PTB about the grind not being reduced enough when only focusing on a few characters, especially in relation to the cost of the Prestige node on the bloodweb. In response, we have reduced the BP cost of the Prestige node as well as raising various BP caps to allow for more BP to be earned, stocked up, and spent. We’ve additionally adjusted the transition rules for the Prestige system in such a way that players who reached Prestige 3 in the old system will immediately be Prestige 9 and thus unlock all associated perks, cosmetics, and charms immediately for the character.
  • Endurance no longer stops a Survivor from going down if they have Deep Wound
  • Dead Hard’s Endurance duration reduced from 1 second to 0.5 seconds
  • Off The Record is now disabled when the Exit Gates are powered
  • Overcharge’s regression has been reduced from 100%-400% to 75%-200%
  • Botany Knowledge now has a Medkit efficiency penalty of -20%
  • Spine Chill now has additional Terror Radius visual feedback
  • Inner Focus no longer has a distance restriction on viewing scratch marks
    • Dev Note: On the PTB we saw many instances where Survivors were able to queue up several instances of Endurance one after the other, and being able to tank far too many additional hits. Changing Endurance to not trigger when a player has Deep Wounds will prevent this from being as effective, as Survivors will now need to mend the Deep Wound in order to benefit from Endurance a second time. Off The Record was also proving to be too strong during the end game, since there are no required Conspicuous Actions at that point, and will now disable once the gates have been powered.

Stray – Where to Find the Worker Jacket and Worker Helmet Guide

For those playing Stray, MP1st is here to help with some of the collectibles and hidden items in the game. For this one, we’re here to help players find the Worker jacket and the Worker helmet!

Once you have reached Midtown, you will have to locate a character known as Clementine. They are located on the third floor in an apartment complex near the far end of Midtown. Talk to them, they will tell you that you will need to meet with a character named Blazer in order to get a Battery. They are located in an alleyway near the entrance to the marketplace of Midtown. Once you have talked to them, you will then be tasked with finding a Worker Jacket and Worker Helmet in order for Blazer to help sneak you into the facility holding the battery. Luckily, they aren’t all that far from Blazer, though you’ll need to do a few things to get them.

Down below you’ll find both a text and video guide, detailing exactly where to find the Worker Jacket and Worker Helmet in Stray in order to progress the story.

Stray – Where to Find the Worker Jacket (Text Guide)

It doesn’t matter what order you do these in, but we’ll start with the one that needs a bit of work. If you leave the alleyway from where Blazer is, you should see a clothing shop on the left as you exit back into center of Midtown.

It’s an open shop, and inside you’ll find the Worker Jacket with the prompt to steal it. If you try to steal it, the shopkeeper will notice and stop you, so you’ll need to distract that shopkeeper somehow. If you head to the dressing room of the shop, you will notice in the back a radio cassette player that you can use to distract the shopkeeper. Only problem now is that you don’t have a cassette to use. So where do you find the cassette for the cassette player?

Well, start making your way back to the apartment buildings that Clementine was located in. Upon entering, you will notice three NPC robots, one with a radio cassette player. If you talk to them, they will tell you that they will give you a cassette, but only after the security cameras in the complex have been dealt with.

There are three in total, all accessible from the second floor of the complex, so head on up. They are all within each other views and marked on the image down below.

Once you have destroyed all three cameras, make your way back to the NPC below and they will give you a cassette. Now you can go back to the shop and use the cassette player to distract the shopkeeper. You will not be able to steal the Worker Jacket.

Stray – Where to Find the Worker Helmet (Text Guide)

Continuing from the clothing shop where you just got the Worker Jacket, go left, towards the center of Midtown.  You should see a hologram display, and to the right of it is hat shop.

You won’t be able to enter this shop as If you talk to the unhappy worker on the right, they will tell you about another worker who is late. You’ll need to find this worker, who just so happens to be passed out at a bar near the shop.

Make your way here, and then head to the very back to find the passed out worker. You will need to wake them up. Climb the stepladder in the back, to the shelf above. There is a case of beer bottles that you can knock over onto the worker.

They will wake up and start making their way back to the hat shop. Go back, and jump inside the back that is on the ground and wait for the worker to carry you inside the shop. You can now steal the worker helmet.

Now you can make your way back to Blazer and continue with the story!

Stray – Where to Find the Worker Jacket and Worker Helmet (Video Guide)

EA’s last FIFA-branded game has its cover athletes revealed! In a press release, EA has announced the FIFA 23 cover athletes to be Kylian Mbappé and Sam Kerr!

In the press release, EA announced both athletes will be featured on FIFA 23’s Ultimate Edition, which marks the first time a female graces the global cover of the franchise. Mbappé will feature on the title’s Standard Edition, while Kerr will be featured on the Standard Edition in Australia and New Zealand, and as a worldwide Amazon exclusive.

The full reveal is set to take place this July 20 over on the EA Sports FIFA YouTube channel and set to ari at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET/12 AM HKT.

Here are more details and quotes from the two athletes straight from the press release:

Chelsea FC forward Sam Kerr is one of most-talented stars in the sport and FIFA 23 marks Kerr’s first FIFA cover. As captain of the Australia Women’s National Team and the only female player to have won the Golden Boot in three different leagues, on three different continents, Sam is undoubtedly one of the finest footballers playing anywhere in the world.

“It’s an honour and a dream come true to be on the cover of FIFA 23,” said Sam Kerr. “It’s been incredible to work with Kylian and the whole EA SPORTS team, and I can’t wait for fans to get their hands on a copy of the game”.

Paris Saint-Germain striker and global football icon Kylian Mbappé graces the cover for the third year in a row, making him one of a select few to earn that status. At just 23 years old, Mbappé is one of the sport’s brightest young stars on and off the pitch, representing the best of a new generation of phenomenal footballing talent.

“I’m thrilled to have been picked to be on the cover of EA SPORTS FIFA for the 3rd time, and I’m even more excited to share a cover honouring women’s football with a great player like Sam Kerr,” said Kylian Mbappé. “As a huge fan of the game, I’m excited for the final FIFA and can’t wait to see you all on the pitch.”

Once more details regarding the stream are made available, we’ll be sure to let our readers know about it. The duo marks the last cover athlete for EA’s FIFA franchise, as EA will be forging ahead with EA Sports FC in 2023.

The Quarry Update 1.04 Jumps Out for Fixes This July 19

Supermassive Games has released The Quarry update 1.04, and this seems to fix a few glitches, as well as add small features too. Read on for what’s new in The Quarry July 19 patch notes.

The Quarry Update 1.04 Patch Notes | The Quarry July 19 Patch Notes:

Supermassive Games has not released anything official regarding today’s patch just yet, though we’re hoping that changes throughout the day. However, thanks to the community, there are a few confirmed fixes with this title update.

  • Glitch fixed in the Radio Hut where Dylan’s face used to randomly “light up.” (thanks, LaBellian)
  • New colorblind setting implemented (thanks, criminalsfan)
  • The update fixed one issue for me which was the death rewind glitch, I have started a game prior to the last update and I actually made one little mistake but when I tried to use the death rewind feature it crashed the game. Since the update now it works. (thanks, LordDuncanPrime)

So far, that’s about it. We’re on the lookout for the official patch notes, and if Supermassive ever releases it, we’ll be sure to update the post/ If you spot any gameplay or technical fixes included in this update, leave a comment below and let us know what you find. Don’t forget to check out the previous patch which introduced online multiplayer and more.

If you haven’t played The Quarry yet, go check out our review right here. Our own Sean Mesler gives a brief description on what to expect stating,”Set primarily at Hackett’s Quarry, a summer camp, right after the kids have gone home, The Quarry finds the remaining camp counselors stuck overnight and having to deal with a threat trying to pick them off one by one. Yes, this sounds like the set up of countless slasher films like Friday the 13th, Sleepaway Camp, The Burning and many others, but The Quarry has a twist up its sleeve. I won’t dare spoil it here, it’s one of the best surprises the story actually has, but things aren’t what they initially seem.”

  • New daily mission arcs for Republic and Imperial players on the planet Manaan.
  • A challenging new Operation for 8-player teams.
  • Improvements to our Weapons in Outfitter system.
  • Key revelations about Darth Malgus and the Sith lord whose relics he has been pursuing.

In addition to that, Charles Boyd, the game’s Creative Director, is leaving the game after 16 years being with BioWare. Here’s his message to the fans:

A Note From Charles Boyd, Creative Director

Even after almost sixteen years, I still can’t fully believe how lucky I’ve been to work on Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Star Wars galaxy has always been a huge part of my life since I was a kid, so getting to play a role in SWTOR’s growth from its initial vision to a colossal release and then an incredible live service for over a decade has been an amazing experience. The team’s passion, creativity, and dedication to this game are incredible; I don’t think I can ever fully express how much I’ve admired and appreciated working with them every single day.

As always, there are some exciting things in the works for the future of SWTOR – storylines and planets and gameplay and characters that I can’t wait to see come to life. I’m really looking forward to experiencing them all right alongside our players.

So to the team, to our longtime partners at Lucasfilm, and to all of you: thank you so, so much for this amazing journey. I may be moving on from the project, but the Old Republic will never leave my heart.

– Charles

We wish Charles nothing but the best! May the Force Be With You!

Soulframe Not a “Soulsborne” Game, Website’s Hidden Messages Cracked & Reveals New Art Images

Just the other day, Digital Extremes not only announced its new game Soulframe, but the studio also launched the game’s official website as well, which lets gamers secure their username into the game, alongside getting other in-game perks for signing up.

Well, as it turns out, there’s more it than just that, the Soulframe website had a rather lengthy puzzle with a hidden message found at the end! I say “had” as the community banded together to decipher it, and it seems to relate to the game’s lore.

Here’s what Reddit user  GavinGaile and his friend managed to extract from the riddle:

When day wrought night they did arrive
Not sea nor hoof but from the sky
Knight-maidens strong rode to face them
Yet not a sword was drawn

For within that night songs were cast
And we who heard them lost our past
Our virtues, love, and spirit fled
So hollow was the dawn

Now mothers send their children there
To Oden castles crowning air
Returning spies to peel our thoughts
With souls so twisted wrong

Now industry demands the earth
Our verdant fields bled grey of worth
The beasts of feast now lost to famine
Great Alca’s flesh stripped raw

While hope in us has come to rust
Strange kin remain with the Alca’s trust
Relic wolf and bear and faun

Those we plundered now we seek
For ancient ties that withered weak
To cast a bargain entwining last
And reforging honored bonds…

To the world.

Alongside the messages, a bunch of art images surfaced as well from the game’s website, which “hid” it as part of a puzzle that has since been solved.

For those trying to sign up, it’s been a rather painful affair, and Digital Extremes knows about it. Over on Twitter, studio Game Director Steve Sinclair shared details on Soulframe alongside new art. Sinclair confirmed that even if the game has “Soul” in its title, players shouldn’t expect it to be a “Soulsborne” title (akin to FromSoftware’s Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring games), and that the trailer shown featured in-game assets and no BS stuff.

Outside of the new info, Digital Extremes has confirmed that Soulframe will be a free-to-play title, and will have a fantasy setting.

Soulframe has no specific release window just yet, and there’s no confirmed platforms for it, too. However, it might be safe to assume that it’s headed to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

PlayStation Is Officially Acquiring eSports Platform Repeat.gg

PlayStation is officially acquiring the eSports giant, Repeat.gg, signaling the company’s continued interest in the eSports industry.

Repeat.gg is a gaming company that specializes in hosting leaderboard tournaments and making them accessible to all players. The company essentially tracks all players and how they are performing in competitive games.

It also allows players to participate in esports competitions without requiring them to be online and connected to the website. So far, the company has hosted more than 100,000 online tournaments with over 2.3 million playing participants.

“Together with the talented Repeat.gg team, we’re excited to explore more ways for players to engage in competitive gaming and expand the breadth of our esports offerings. This is just the start of our journey and we look forward to sharing more updates with our community in the future.” said Steven Roberts, vice president of global competitive gaming at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Roberts has also elaborated on the acquisition saying that PlayStation’s vision has always been about enabling gamers to compete at all levels.

On the other hand, Repeat.gg CEO, Aaron Fletcher, has expressed his enthusiasm about this opportunity and how it could ultimately lead to enhancing the variety of tournaments that players will be able to enjoy regardless of how skillful they are at gaming.

1 to 1 PlayStation Support on Twitter Ceasing by August 1, Players to Be Directed to Website & Self-Help Articles

For those who tweet at the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account whenever an issue surfaces regarding your console, the PlayStation Network or other stuff related to PlayStation gaming, personalized replies and instructions will be going away very soon!

This was announced by the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account, which revealed that starting Augus 1, 2022, 1 to 1 support will be ceasing, and players will instead be directed to the official support website where self-help articles and the like will be available.

Players will still be able to contact PlayStation Support via the website’s contact guide, but don’t expect replies to be as fast. Aside from the website, players are also instructed to check the official PlayStation Support YouTube page for answers on specific questions regarding the PlayStation ecosystem.

This is definitely a blow to those expecting fast replies when it comes to PlayStation issues, but alas, it is what it is.
