COD Warzone April Fool’s Patch Notes for April 1 Released, and Is Totally Legit

Raven Software (excuse me, Waven Woftware) has released the Call of Duty Warzone April Fool’s patch notes for April 1, and it includes quite a number of changes that totally won’t break the game balance at all. Curious? Read on.

COD Warzone April Fool’s Patch Notes for April 1:

GENERAL:

Gameplay Adjustments

  • Custom Loadouts have been removed.

Loadout Weapons were clearly overpowered due to Players equpping effective combinations of Attachments on them. In order to level the playing field for everyone, we have removed Loadouts from the game. May RNG be on your side!

  • Parachuting functionality has been modified in Caldera.

Data indicates that a considerable number of Players die upon Infil. Given the ongoing struggle, we’ve removed this initial barrier of entry. We’d like to thank our creators for providing live demonstrations of this issue.

New Tactical Equipment

  • Fortification Grenade
    • Players can throw this grenade to generate a 20x20x20 fortified box base equipped with a Firesale Buy Station, Anti-Aircraft Gun, and defensive Armored Truck AI, giving them a distinct advantage during open-area confrontations.

Upon analyzing our heat maps, we’ve determined that Players need better tools to engage with one another in low density areas. We fully expect portable fortresses to help improve survivability and leave a mark on enemy morale.

New Contract

You Got Jebaited
  • Subscribe Now!
    • This Contract marks all Players using prefixes/suffixes/clan tags including but not limited to TTV, FBG, YTG, TK, TOK, as high value targets for the duration of the match. Enjoy the new followers!

New Lootable Fauna

  • Don’t feed the sharks. 🦈

WEAPONS

Weapon Adjustments

» Launchers «

  • Launcher functionality has been modified in Caldera.

» Light Machine Guns «

  • Bren (VG)
    • Minimum Damage increased to 125, up from 30

Yep, that’s totally legit, right? If you want to see the latest actual changes made this past March 30, click here.

The Sims 4 Update 1.56 Out for My Wedding Stories Bug Fixes

Maxis has released The Sims 4 update 1.56 patch on all platforms, and this is for a slew of fixes to the My Wedding Stories expansion. There doesn’t seem to be new content, and the full changelog are listed in the patch notes below.

The Sims 4 Update 1.56 Patch Notes:

PC: 1.86.157.1030 / Mac: 1.86.157.1230

Console: Version 1.56.20

Sul Sul, Simmers –

Since the release of the My Wedding Stories Game Pack, our team has been working on a patch update to address the issues you have raised. We are grateful for the feedback and have worked to get these improvements to you as soon as possible.

Our focus has been improving the gameplay surrounding wedding ceremonies. Some of the behavioral systems we’re working through in this pack are quite complex across platforms, and we know that your Sims don’t always behave the way you expect them to. This is part of what makes The Sims special, but we understand it can also be frustrating.

We are aware of the Error 0 Save Bug, are actively investigating and we will provide an update in the coming weeks. Please continue to report issues you might be experiencing via AnswersHQ.

Simmers deserve the best and it’s our goal to provide you with experiences you love from the moment you start the game. We continue to evaluate and improve on the best way we can deliver those experiences to the quality you expect.

We value your passion for this game and want to thank you for your continued support.

Stay safe and healthy,

The Sims Team

BUG FIXES:

My Wedding Stories
  • We fixed some issues with Ceremony Activities not working properly during Vow Renewal, Reception & Wedding Ceremony parties.
  • Sims will be able to go up and down short, medium, and long aisles now during the Gather at Aisle interaction.
  • Partners will show up for wedding events now.
  • Center park – Myshuno Meadows is listed among the venues in the wedding event planner now besides other additional venues.
  • Sims will no longer set their bouquet aside before walking down the aisle.
  • Ring Bearers and Flower Pals will no longer refuse to walk down the aisle after running any interaction from the “Ceremony activities”.
  • We adjusted our recipe for wedding cakes so they should last much longer. And we made them Vegetarian-safe! 🙂
  • Everyone will be excited for Cake and Dessert at Wedding Ceremonies now.
  • Wedding Guests and Officiants will “Gather at the aisle” properly now.
  • The “Cut Cake with <Sim>” interaction is no longer available on cakes that were already cut.
  • Officiants will not just stand there any longer, but will actually do their officiant job.
  • Sims who bend to their spouse when performing a “Spousal kiss” will no longer rub their ear into the other Sims face, but will use their lips to kiss their spouse instead.
  • Some curtains have been updated to cast a slightly less dramatic shadow when placed indoors.
  • Sims will react more appropriately when running romantic socials while Slow Dancing going forward.
  • We added some clarity to the tooltip of Wedding Cakes by including further details about eligible spots for wedding cakes to be placed in.
  • Sims will receive the “Not selected as a sim of honor” or ‘Wasn’t invited to wedding” sentiments only when appropriate moving forward.
  • “Let’s Get Drinks” is no longer available for Child and Teen Sims on Bars during Rehearsal Dinner, Family Gathering, or Engagement Dinner parties.
  • Engaged couples will no longer be able to perform Wedding related actions on Wedding Cakes they do not own.
  • Sims will cut their wedding cakes even if it has a cake topper; Sims will simply remove the topper from the cake and place it in their inventory before cutting the cake with their couple Sim.
  • We also fixed an issue with Cake Toppers floating above Cakes after Sims “Take a Piece”.
  • When selecting guests in the Wedding Event Planner it will show all the sims that are related to both individuals of the couple now. So guests should no longer get uninvited after editing the guest list with a Sim who was not the original host for the event – both couple Sims will be considered the host now.
  • Guests attire Dress Code and Color will no longer reset after editing a Wedding event.
  • Simmers will be able to choose which aisle Sims should gather at and Sims “Gathering For Recessional” will be able to go up and down the aisles without issues now.
  • We taught Sims some manners so they will pay proper attention to Toasts now and will stop chattering.
    • We know it’s a big day and everyone’s excited, but that’s no reason to be rude.
  • Sims with a larger backside will no longer experience their derriere to clip through ymTop_GP11Casual.
  • When Engaged Sims perform the “Exchange vows and Kiss” or the “Exchange Vows with Officiant and Kiss” Ceremony event, Sims will complete both interactions now and will no longer forget about the Spousal Kiss.
  • We made some tweaks so you can expect more sunshine in Tartosa moving forward.
  • Officiant Sims will now give the wedding couple their full attention and avoid talking to other sims during their speech.
  • Sims will wear their existing formal outfit for weddings if it is appropriately colored.
  • For Engagement Dinners Sims will wear their party outfits and for wedding reception and the vow renewals events guest Sims will wear their formal outfit moving forward.
  • We caught some mischievous gnomes who added super glue to wedding chairs, causing Sims to be unable to get up after taking their seats. We cleaned those chairs meticulously and advised gnomes to be more prudent so Sims will be able to get up to do other wedding related actions after sitting down.
  • We added some musical backdrop to accentuate important wedding moments.
  • Also, we improved an issue with arms clipping during Paired Dancing.

The Division 2 PTS Patch Notes for March 31:

NEW GAME MODE: COUNTDOWN

Countdown is a new 8-player endgame mode for The Division 2. Two groups of four SHD agents are deployed to a power plant to prevent a lockdown. Racing against the clock, the agents must work together to secure the site and stabilize the power plant. Believing their mission is complete the agents prepare for extraction and are pursued by heavily armed and technologically advanced hostiles.

Countdown is meant for 8 players, but you can start a session with a smaller group (even solo). The balancing won’t change though, so expect a real challenge if you go with less than 8. (Tweet)

Overview:

  • 8 players PvE
  • Timed mission
  • Various objectives
  • Randomized encounters and flow on a new unique map
  • New gear and weapon drops [Phase 2]

  • Each eligible item type has a Proficiency Rank, which can be increased either through Donations or Kill XP. Only when an item type reaches the highest Proficiency Rank possible, will the agent become Proficient with it and be able to increase the Grade of the individual items of that type. Every item type has the same amount of Proficiency Ranks.
  • Additionally, each agent has a unique Expertise Level, which increases as the Proficiency Ranks are gained in more item types
  • Expertise and Proficiency is account-wide

Types:

  • Expertise Level: Agent level
  • Proficiency Rank: Item type level
  • Proficient: Reaching Max Proficiency Rank in an item type

  • Named Items
  • Exotics
  • Skill Variants
  • Specialization Weapons

NEW WEAPONS

Exotic Weapons:

    • Talent Full Stop: Shooting enemies builds stacks to a cap of 20. Headshots grant 2 stacks. Each stack grants 2% Weapon Damage and 5% Headshot Damage. On reload, clear all stacks and gain 5% of your max Armor as temp armor for 10 seconds for each stack removed. Headshot kills with Dread Edict restore all bullets in the magazine. This does not count as a reload.

  • Omit shields from the effects of the In-Sync talent .
  • Increased the PvP damage to shield .
  • Repair Traps now heal allies for the proper amount .

Design Notes:

Shield skills have been unbalanced for quite some time and have grown to be a dominant build tactic in both PvE and PvP. Combined with In-Sync, shields provide an unparalleled, no-downsides DPS boost.

In addition, Intimidate when combined with various methods of gaining short-term bonus armor. This made it deeply unfair in ambush situations in PvP and led to an undesirable PvE meta as well. As such, Intimidate now requires a slow buildup before reaching maximum effectiveness.

In addition to the PTS patch notes, Ubisoft announced that Season 9 news is coming soon, too!

Image

Important to note: while the stuff listed here are being tested, there is no guarantee that we’ll see everything implemented in the live build. Just a friendly reminder in case you see something there and the latest patch roll out doesn’t include it.

In case you didn’t see it, Massive Entertainment announced that The Divison 2 will be getting multiple updates this year! Prepare for more The Division 2 this 2022, agents!

Developed by the same award-winning studio that brought us the critically acclaimed Hyper Light Drifter.

We feel deeply fortunate to be able to celebrate the franchise in this way,” said Alx Preston, Hyper Light Drifter creator and Heart Machine creative director. “Crowdfunding for the game exceeded our wildest expectations, leading to millions of players from around the world falling in love with Hyper Light Drifter. The Division 2 Support Resuming, Multiple Updates Planned for This Year

It’s been a while since we’ve heard of anything new regarding Ubisoft’s The Division 2. While there is was apparel event and big update that was originally planned to drop in February this year, that was postponed to a later, still-unspecified date in 2022. For the most part, The Division 2 studio Massive Entertainment was radio silent on the game, which everyone assumed was done in its support outside of bug fixes.

Well, it seems that’s not the case. Over on Twitter, Yannick Banchereau, Creative Director of The Division 2, explained that the year they were silent wasn’t to make just one big “come back” update, but it was spent organizing and preparing for continuous support of the game.

Here’s his entire Twitter announcement compiled for an easier read:

Agents, before we all jump on the PTS, there’s something I’d like you to keep in mind. The year we’ve spent working on the game in silence was not spent making one gigantic come back update. It was spent organizing and preparing for continuous support of the game.

The importance of this update is not in its size, but in it heralding a return to normal with more to come after that. If this update doesn’t contain the changes or content you were hoping for, just remember that there are more updates coming throughout the year.

For now, I hope we can all share a happy moment and rejoice that support for the game is resuming. We’re live again!*

This is definitely good news for The Division 2 fans. With last year’s announcement that Massive Entertainment is working on an open-world Star Wars game, I thought that this was the final nail in the coffin for The Division 2. I’m quite glad to see that I was wrong.

What are you hoping to see from the devs in terms of new event or content? Let us know down in the comments below.

Sonic Frontiers Limited Edition Includes Waterproof Mega Drive, Game Gear, & Rubber Duck

SEGA has just announced an exciting promotion that’s perfect for beating the summer heat, with a very special Sonic Frontiers Limited Edition collection! The collection has everything you need and more to play the game at the beach or pool of your choice, including:

  • a bathtub
  • a silk towel
  • a waterproof Mega Drive
  • a Game Gear
  • a rubber duck

In case that weird mix of collectibles isn’t enough to tip you off, this one is just SEGA’s prank for April Fool’s Day, as it is officially April 1 in Japan today. While a waterproof Mega Drive sounds incredibly appealing as long as you can use a modern, waterproof screen, it is but a silly joke meant to invoke the spirit of April 1st.

That said, SEGA did go all out for this prank for Sonic Frontiers limited edition, as they have dedicated a special website for it which you can check out for yourself. Below are some of the descriptions of the items included (translated roughly through Google Translate):

  • Luxury bathtub-Sonic Team handmade- – Developed a bathtub to deliver the warmth of warm water to the tiredness of adventure. It is a discerning dish that is handmade in a secret workshop at night, using plenty of good wood from the Starfall Islands.
  • Silk washcloth – A silk washcloth that gently wipes your wet body. The store manager of “Sonic Speed Red Lantern” also wears it on his head every day.
  • Mega drive (for bath) – The 16 BIT demanded by the times has been tuned for the bath. With waterproofing, you can play the Megadora title anytime, anywhere in the bath. * Software is sold separately.
  • Game gear – A reprint of the legendary handheld game console that once dominated all at once. Operates on 6 AA alkaline batteries as at that time. * Software is sold separately. * Cannot be used in the bath.
  • Duck toys – Speaking of baths, duck toys. If you put it in hot water, it will become huge. Sonic, who is not good at swimming, can rest assured if he rides a duck.

Sonic Frontiers is arriving on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in late 2022.

Elden Ring 7th Ending “Age Absolute” Discovered Through Cut Content

Elden Ring is not lacking in terms of the ending department, as it boasts six different endings that can be acquired through various and often convoluted ways. However, it appears that FromSoftware originally had a 7th ending planned for Elden Ring, and this one is an incredible culmination of the game’s lore, all discovered through modding in cut content.

The video comes from Garden of Eyes, who posted a cutscene of the ending on YouTube. Called “Age Absolute,” this ending involves two distinct paths the Tarnished one can take: one under the guidance of the Two Fingers, instruments of the Greater Will, and the mysterious Three Fingers, who are hellbent on the destruction of everything, starting with the Erdtree. Check it out below.

As shown in the video, the ending is fully animated via cutscene and voiced as well, meaning that it had to have made it at some point in the game before being ultimately cut off. It looks stunning, and is an amazing culmination of the lore of the Two and Three Fingers, now combined to make a gigantic Hand that rules over both Order (Two) and Chaos (Three).

All of that said, it’s still possible that we may see this ending come as actual content in the future; a recent patch for Elden Ring restored some quests for several characters in the game, and maybe FromSoftware has something planned for the Age Absolute for players to see. With how expansive this game is, it’s hard to believe that there’s still a ton we don’t know, and it’s exciting to see what’s the next big discovery is for Elden Ring.

E3 2022 Digital and Physical Events Cancelled

It seems that both E3 2022 digital and physical events have been cancelled, as first reported by a PR lead from Razer. A few minutes later, IGN has also confirmed that an email from the ESA mentions the same thing, and it appears that there will be no E3 2022 at all.

COVID has hit major facets of the industry for two years now, and the ESA with their yearly E3 conference took a big brunt of the hit. Following an absence in 2020 and a digital-only one in 2021, it seems that the ESA will not run any iterations of their gaming events this year, even a digital one.

It did not initially started out like this, as the ESA has planned for E3 to carry on this year, with an in-person event even being planned. However, something must’ve changed up plans, and now, it seems that E3 as an event for the gaming industry is standing at a crossroads of how to carry on.

According to sources from IGN, the event lacks a “strong momentum” for the digital counterpart, which might have been the main reason for the cancellation. Instead of trying something halfhearted, it seems that ESA is shifting their focus to 2023, where a “larger comeback” for E3 should be expected.

Update #2: Steel Wool has released the patch notes (finally).

Hey hey,

We’ve got a small update for you regarding the latest patch for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. Physical discs will be available on April 1st for the PS4 and PS5 in both US and Korea!

For our PC users, you’ll be getting this patch in a few days and it will also contain the game’s size reduction. We do appreciate your patience for this change. Since it touched literally every part of the game, it was vital we tested again, and again, and again, and again… and then one more time. The version that’s been live had a download size of about 52 GB, with an uncompressed size of 84 GB. The new version has a download size of about 41 GB, with an uncompressed size of 65 GB.

That’s it for the current update. We know it’s not much, but since it’s technically a patch, we wanted to be clear about its contents with a formal update.

Thanks again for sticking with us and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach! We’ll have new (more exciting!!!!!) updates for you in the not too distant future.

Update: Reddit user CartoonistSalt2571 says that new languages were added. Steel Wool has yet to issue any official patch notes, though.

Among Us Update 1.003 Out for Friends List, New Items & More This March 31

Innersloth has released the Among Us update 1.003 patch which is out on all platforms. This adds the Friends List feature, new cosmetic items, a list of bug fixes and more. Read up on the complete Among Us update #34 patch notes below.

Among Us Update 1.003 Patch Notes | Among Us Update 34 Patch Notes:

Friends List

Here are all the Friends List features you can expect from this free update, v2022.3.29 on all platforms:

  • A unique friend code
  • Ability to send and receive friend requests (duh)
  • Invite friends to your own lobby
  • See who you recently played with
  • Ability to block players
  • Ability to show/hide your Friend Code (good for anyone streaming!)
  • Ability to turn off/on lobby invite notifications (toggle this in the game Settings)

Notes about the Friends List:

  • No offline/online status for friends yet
  • You can turn on/off lobby notifications
  • Child accounts will need additional permissions from their parent/guardian to access their Friend’s List

But that’s not it! Here are some other things you can expect with this update:

  • Removed the ability to link/unlink existing accounts – this is temporary! We need to fix up the system here since we’ve heard it can be a confusing process, so for now we are turning this feature off until the next update.
  • Screen Shake option can now be toggled On and Off (PC)
  • Cosmetics are arranged in a different order

New Items

You’ve waited and they’re finally here – new collab cosmetics just dropped!

Ghostface Cosmetics (all platforms until April 30th)

  • Scream Mask
  • Scream Robes

Halo Cosmetics (exclusive to Xbox players)

  • Spartan Armor
  • Spartan Helmet
  • Guilty Spark Pet

Ratchet & Clank Cosmetics (exclusive to PlayStation players)

  • Ratchet’s Hat
  • Ratchet’s Outfit
  • Clank Pet

You can get these by simply logging onto Among Us to get these cosmetics automatically added to your inventory.  And yes, they’re free! 😀

Watch out for April 1st

😊

heheheheheheh.

Hope you enjoy the new feature! As a reminder, for the next update we’re taking a step back and focusing on fixing a bunch of bugs and improving the flow of the game. Basically: don’t expect new content for the next update.

As much as we know how excited you all get about new in-game features, we really want to make sure Among Us is given the time and care it needs to function smoothly. We’ve really been playing catch up and trying to meet everyone’s demands, but in that process things have slipped that we want to improve. I’ve said this a billion times but seriously – thank you so much for sticking with us, the patience, and the encouragement. YOU THE BEST CREW I COULD ASK FOR. (Until you rudely eject me into space.)

Okay byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Victoria

Hello all! It’s everyone’s favorite (?) bug smusher. Though to be fair, I don’t really smush the bugs, I just take a magnifying glass to stare at the bug before and after the smushing occurs, adjusting my glasses like some megane anime villain as I do. And then I take a paper towel and gently remove the smush.

And then, um, we never talk about the bug or the smushing that occurred ever again. …AnywAY AHAHAAH LET’S TALK ABOUT BUGS SHALL WEfjkaLDfsdgjkl

  • Known bugs from this Friends List update – We’re currently aware of some release bugs that are present in this new update (v2022.3.29). We will be working on getting these fixed, but for now, they are present in the new build. The biggest ones we’ll note here are:
    • Friends List does not update in real time – needs to be refreshed
    • No error message when attempting to send a Friend Request while being offline
    • “Recently Played With” and “Blocked Players” tabs do not update properly when blocking/unblocking players
    • Friends List requests are not received after adjusting the ‘Friend & Lobby Invites’ option multiple times in Settings
    • Significant shadow and texture issues – noticeable during Lights Off sabotage phase
    • Crew color Cosmetics and Crewmate displayed as the Preferred color rather than current Crewmate color in Lobby Wardrobe
    • Cosmetics may be slow to load in
    • When a new player joins the game, it can take half a second for their cosmetics to load in with the player as it does the spawn animation
  • DLC Grants Ongoing – Account linking borked some accounts in November, this is true. We have been steadily and diligently rolling out grants to those of you who lose your DLC, and a huuuge chunk have been resolved at this point. As I said in the last Bug Corner, this is a manual process that takes time, so we definitely appreciate your patience!
  • SSL Bug – this was a funny little bug that our backend programmers took a flyswatter to. It was a few days of disrupted play, but all should be well now.
  • Account Reset Bug – we know this has been happening to a fair number of you, and we hope that the changes to account linking should resolve this. As always, contact support@innersloth.com if you’re still having account/inventory issues.
  • Age Verification – We partnered with SuperAwesome in 2021 to implement an age verification process that makes it so our younger players have a safe and fun experience playing Among Us. This process isn’t foolproof (we err on the side of safety), and sometimes our adult players end up being asked to verify their age if they enter their birth year incorrectly. Please know that we hear your feedback, and we are hoping to streamline this process soon.
